I purchased these about 8-9 months ago and they're still working great! I love that they turn off once all of the liquid has been diffused and it can double as a dim night light if I diffuse throughout the night. I would recommend cleaning it out frequently, however, or the oils will build up and it will be very difficult to get the different smells out of there (I made that mistake but diffusing some white vinegar-while I wasn't around because it smelled bad- helped clean out the oils) and you'll have a cacophony of scents while you're trying to diffuse and it will not smell good at ALL!

I love this diffuser! Of all the ones I had seen on Amazon, this one seemed the most "elegant" for the price, although now I see some even nicer ones out there, but they are way more expensive. I love this for spreading a nice scent and fragrance in the air, it works really well and is pretty easy to follow the instructions. I love using my oils in here! I mostly use it in my room but I feel it would work well in a small apartment too. It is also just nice to look at sometimes :) I like how you can turn off the changing lights feature, since I think the changing lights are kind of tacky. I put a nice blend in once when my then fiance slept over, and he loved it! It works for a good amount of time, hours more then what I usually need, it pretty much works through the night. It doesn't work SUPER well to really humidify or anything (not that it claims to anyway). I also like the very thin power cord that can be easily hidden behind the unit. It is also super easy to clean. I typically fill it most of the way to the top with cool to lukewarm water and that tends to work the best. I do like burning candles though because they are also pretty to look at and not super distracting, and look elegant in the background whereas this draws a lot of attention to itself if people are over, but I typically only use it when we're just by ourselves anyway.

This diffuser is just what I wanted! The old triangle shaped NOW FOODS diffuser worked great, but didn't have an internal "fan" to blow the mist up, so I ended up buying a YL diffuser because I wanted this effect. Well, this model has it! And it runs for HOURS...AMAZING deal! Will probably be getting a couple more after I finish this review! Great design, GREAT product!!! GO FOR IT!

Works great! Beautiful design

This is a great little diffuser and very pretty. I bought 2 diffusers and wrote a review on the other one that this one is MUCH better. It runs for a very long time. I start it in my toddler's room around 7:30 and one night she was sick so I was in there at 2:30am and it was still running. This one is worth it!

I love it. read tons of reviews about there diffuser stopping and was a bit worried. but when I got mine I didn't keep it level and water filled the base of the diffuser and wouldn't come one. the instructions say keep the airway clear ( I believe it used another word, but I don't know where my instructions are anymore). So, I emptied the base and made sure to keep it level the next time I put the top of it on and it came right on. I've had the product now for a month and it still works great. when plugged in the red power light is light up. you press it once to get the diffuser to diffuse and then again to get the changing colors to illuminate then again to turn both off. I'm still keeping my eye out for it to just randomly stop as some people have written about and I also read reviews about how hard it is to fill. but it's really easy so not sure what they were doing. you take the top fill it with water and add your oil drops to the water. then put the cap back on and turn over and place it on the base. the water will not leak out of the top till placed on the base because of the way it is designed. but still make sure that the base of the diffuser is not filled past a certain point with the water or it will not come on. but it should not do that if you set it up right.

Always get compliments when I use this... But I deducted 1 star because you have to call the manufacturer to have the green rubber gasket sent out so I could replace it. I've had to call them 2x already. I wish they would just include a package of them with the diffuser. When calling the manufacturer, I asked if they could send me more than one, and they said no.

I was looking for 3 things when I bought a diffuser:1. It needed to be small enough and blend into my home decor.2. It needed to be completely quiet.3. It needed to put off a good amount of scent.This diffuser met all three of my requirements. It is extremely quiet, and it does not keep me awake, and I am a very light sleeper so that is saying something. It does produce a good amount of scent, which is the whole point of it.I will say, there is one quirk that I don't fully understand, which is why I have it 4 instead of 5 stars. Sometimes you have to take the inside part, where you fill it with water, and turn it upside down and place it back in, as it does not seem to register after it has been off for a few days that there is water in it. It is a little annoying, but does not deter me from using it, and I wouldn't avoid it for this reason.Overall, great diffuser!

I have 3 different diffusers that I use throughout my home.I bought this one because I loved how it looked. It is has a unique look that appears like wood, however, it is plastic, which I am fine with. I feel that this diffuser can be displayed in my living room and not look out of place. I also like that it is a Now product.I like that this diffuser runs for long periods of time without having to refill, and shuts off automatically. Another review indicated that there weren't markings for how much water to put in. This one has a min. & max. fill line clearly marked. This diffuser a strong water vapor that is distributed throughout a larger area than my other diffusers.While this diffuser has many positives, my one complaint is the actual prep time that it takes to use it. The water reservoir is located under the decorative cover. Once removed, you must tip it upside down to unscrew a cap (which is about the same size as a water bottle). When filling with water, using a measuring cup with a spout is the easiest. It is tricky pouring the water into the small opening with cup or faucet, as water gets all over the unit. Since the hole is not that large, it is also difficult to put oils into the reservoir. The reservoir is also an awkward shape so it does not set on a counter, you must hold it in one hand while filling with water and putting oil in. While this seems minor, it can be tricky.I have also had problems with water leaking from under the cap when I tip it back over. So it is important to first make sure the cap is securely screwed on.Once the unit is put back together though, it runs very nicely and for long periods of time. So for operational functions, I would still highly recommend this unit just 1 star shy of being a perfect diffuser.

WOW! I'm really impressed. This is my second diffuser, and completely blows the other one I bought right out of the water.Another reviewer mentioned how non-user-friendly this is, and I have no idea what she's talking about. I think it's really intuitive and easy. She also mentioned trying to shake oil into a tiny hole? The hole is about the size of a quarter. Super easy. I'm honestly baffled about that review.It runs for hours at full "steam." I use more oil than recommended. It said to use 5 drops, and I like to use about twice that much. It never stops smelling like the oils.It is unique, which is one of my favorite things about it. I find most oil diffusers to be ugly... like really ugly and mostly cheap and space-agey looking. I LOVE that this one has personality.Honestly, my only complaints are these: I really wish the "wood" were wood, not plastic. My color isn't as dark or red as the photo (though it still leans red, and is about a medium shade wood), which cheapens the look somewhat IMO. I would have MUCH PREFERRED the color that it looks on the box and in the Amazon picture. Frankly, NOW should be ashamed of the picture on the box, since the color is so vastly different from the reality (pic uploaded, and at least on my end, all items are true to color). Lastly, the ugly NOW logo on it. For the price, I don't feel like I should have to have their advertisement stamped on my product. These are the only reasons I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5.GREAT diffuser. I will update right away if something goes wrong. If this review is up as-is, I still love it!-----Update: If you are having trouble getting enough vapor to come out, check your water level. The second time I used it, I was discouraged to see the output had significantly reduced. Then I read a review mentioning that exceeding the unmarked fill line would cause this. I dumped out some of the water, plugged it back in, turned it back on, and voila! Vapor!

I like the look of this diffuser and it functions well. I gave it 4 stars for two small issues:1. The faux wood appears to be a very dark brown in the photo here and the photo on the box, but it is really more of a medium orangey brown. No biggie, just expected darker.2. When you fill the reservoir you need to have your oil bottles open and ready. The reservoir does not have a flat surface for resting it upright. so you have to hold it upright with one hand while adding oils with the other. I learned that the hard way the first time I used it, but worked out my system after that.It functions well. No other complaints.

This is labeled as a "...Wood Grain Oil Diffuser..." and so, I expected at least the outside of it to be wood. No such luck. It's pure plastic throughout. To me, it's a strange idea to be using something such as a DIffuser, which is for people who are so additive and synthetic conscious, as part of a natural aromatherapy when it's made of a very unnatural product! The only reason that I wouldn't return it is that it's COLD diffusion and the plastic doesn't get heated up in order to diffuse the oils into the air. Unheated plastic will not give off molecules of itself to that which it is diffusing, while heated plastic, such as was found in the initial plastic vaporizers, DO give off their plastic molecules. This is the reason that all vaporizers were mandated, by law, to be "cold water vaporizers" (which technically is NOT vaporizing the water) by law. They should have stuck with the glass vaporizers that are much better for children, the environment, and our health, but Big Brother was worried about us dropping the glass vaporizers, so they mandated the plastic ones. My son was just born (45 years ago) when that happened. I contacted the leading manufacturer of vaporizers and purchased 4 of their finest contraband glass vaporizers, and they lasted (not one of them was dropped as Big Brother was so afraid of) for the next 25 years. THe only thing that wore out was the electrode inside the working part of the vaporizer, which could be taken apart, cleaned, and made to last longer, which I did. This diffuser, could easily have been made of glass with a real wood exterior so that it would not be so "new age" synthetic along with the "new age" health concepts. It does look like real wood, though, and is a lovely piece that works well. I just didn't think it through and realize I'd have to be cleaning it's interior all the time, a definite negative for me, but that will be true of EVERY diffuser. Just be aware of that upkeep when you purchase any diffuser. This would make a nice gift if you don't mind it being plastic, not wood.

Perfect diffuser to have by my bed at night. It is nearly silent, so it is perfect for diffusing lavendar oils while you sleep.UPDATE! It worked great in the beginning. However, the cap for the water reservoir kept falling apart. The last time it fell apart the spring went missing. Had to replace this diffuser with the style that has less inner components.

Gets sticky and hard to clean once you forget to rinse it out after one day. I wish there was a cleaning solution or guide to help take care of these diffusers so they last longer.

I like the look of the diffuser, and the color changing lights are nice, Not too bright for my massage therapy treatment room. And since the volume capacity is fairly great, it runs for a long time without needing refilled.However, what I don't like is that the twist-on cap has a sort of green plastic/rubber ring (?? Odd kind of substance...) that has begun to wrinkle/dissolve/break down/crumble over the course of the last couple of months. I have been using it for maybe a few months now, so this began to happen shortly after purchase. I don't anticipate it lasting much longer than another few weeks. I use the diffuser a few times a week, and only ever put enough water in it for it to run up to a few hours.I admit that I don't remove the cap and set the diffuser to dry once it has run out. I just refill it the next day. Some people run their diffusers day and night, so I can't see how this model would hold up to that kind of usage at all.I have a different kind of diffuser that I use in my home, and I greatly prefer the structure of that one. Instead of a twist cap sealed reservoir for the water, I only have to pour water into the body of the diffuser. It's a shorter run-time, but as least the components aren't breaking down.

Followed instructions but didn't put out a mist or smell of essential oils I added. The water stayed in the reservoir and never emptied after two days. I moved it to another room thinking maybe in a smaller room I will smell something, but it still didnt work. The second day I took it apart and the bottom was full of water, I dumped it out and tried again, now it seems to work so far but honestly this diffuser is not as easy to use as others I have that I paid a lot less for.

It's nice but it doesn't fill an open room at all with the scent and it's speratic when it wants to work. It's very nice looking and it's easy to clean. I originally bought it for a trip we were taking to Minnesota in the summer. Since the national bird of Minnesota is the misquote, I wanted a natural alternative to bug spray. I mixed Tyme, Lemon, Citronella and Lavender oils to the water and it produced a pleasant odor and we didn't have one misquote bite. I used the same (diluted) mixture in a spray bottle for our skin and it worked perfectly. Our cabin was small so it filled the room well, but not or home when we returned. If you are going to use this product in a small place go for it, if it's larger then a spare bedroom size, then buy more than one.

The design is a little awkward as far as filling the tank but that is also what I love about it. The wood is nice and doesn't look cheap. The first time we used it, the smell was great! We only used five drops of peppermint. We've only had it for about a week and it has lost smell :( I've even put 15 drops in...still nothing. Tried cleaning it...so we will see if it helps. If not, I'm gonna return it.

Pro: Looks nice and, to be fair, it worked well enough when I still tolerated using it.Cons:1. Inconvenience. You have to take the water container TO the sink to fill, then balance it while adding oils. Then, you have to turn it upside down, line it up just right, and drop it into the base. No matter how careful I am, I still get water all over.2. It's impossible to clean. I've tried using vinegar, hot water, letting it soak, put it in the dish washer, AND washing machine. There's no getting the buildup out of the crevices on the inside.3. This runs continuously. There's no intermittent setting, which is important (feel free to Google why this matters).4. There's only one button, and it controls everything - power, mist, and light.I bought a cheaper one for my young daughters' room and realized it was SO much better!! This diffuser runs well and puts out plenty of mist for my large open living area. It is difficult to fill in comparison to many other diffusers which wouldn't have been a huge issue for me, but because of the design you have to remove the tank and flip it over to fill it. In order to keep the water from spilling out the top once flipped it has a series of chambers that cannot be reached to clean and they quickly began to collect red mold, and now after 6 months of use I can see the dreaded black mold settling in the spaces as well. I just replaced it with a simple basin style diffuser that can be thoroughly cleaned and is much easier to use.

Have been using this diffuser for 11mos now (way too long.) It puts out a great "flow" ... but there is a major problem with it. About every 3 or 4 days I have to wipe down everything in my room... this diffuser leaves a white film on EVERYTHING! I have used other diffusers and have NEVER had a problem like this. I just replaced it this week with another brand.... I should have replaced it much sooner. Tired of the white film all over my furniture and walls. Wondering if this is normal....has anyone else experienced this?

I should have listened to the other reviewers when they commented on the looks of this item. I didn't think it would look like actual wood grain, just maybe a cheaper plasticky version, which was fine. This is more like an orange sticker with some lines on it. I'm probably just going to paint over it, it's very ugly.

Pretty, and a nice concept, but far too clunky and tedious to use. The bottom reservoir fills too full (on it's own), and the mist will just stop. Wastes oil too. :-(. There is no fill line on the unit, even though the manual references one. Very too-heavy and tippy.To previous reviewers: what part of "faux wood" wasn't clear?

I have 5 different diffusers. All ranging in price and material. I had high hopes for this one, but I'm totally bummed! It is beautiful...that is why I bought it. It's is plastic that looks like wood...another positive since I have small kids. I LOVE every single NOW product I've ever bought....until now. This diffuser is not user friendly. You have to remove decorative top and then remove this reservoir. Then you have to un-screw this cap and u fill this thing with water. Be sure you remember to take top off of your essential oil bottle first or you are balancing this awkward thing and trying to do that at same time. Next, you are trying to "shake" your essential oil from bottle and get into this small hole in reservoir. By this point....I'm totally irritated, but still have positive outlook. So I get the contraption back on, decorative top in place, and start diffusing. I smell my essential oils for about 10 minutes and then...no smell!!! Just water vapor. I thought, well maybe I didn't put enough oil in it. So the next day...repeat process. Same thing. I've had this diffuser for about 2 weeks now and I have noticed the oil is COATED in reservoir. Whhhaaatttt??? While I'm no expert, I really believe that since you put the water in this weird, closed reservoir instead of an "open" one that has the little metal disc that makes the water "jump", it keeps the oils from being "stirred". All 4 of my other diffusers are made by different companies. Some expensive and made of different materials, however they have one thing in common....the metal disc in an "open" reservoir that keeps oils "stirred". So there ya go! Beautiful diffuser. Not user friendly! Hope this helps and I hope you understood my rambling ;)

I was very displeased with this diffuser. I would fill up the canister with water and no matter how much or little essential oils I would use I couldn't get a scent in the room. Yet, if I smelled the canister it smelled of the essential oil I put in. The canister itself is not easy to clean so if you were wanting to change essential oils that would be difficult too as it seemed to keep the oil on the walls of the inside of the canister. The mist did run for over 8 hours however it did not perform for the purpose I purchased it for. The unit itself was also difficult to clean as well.

I received this a month ago and have been using it every day - cleaning per instructions every day. This morning when I turned it on the lights started flashing and it wouldn't work. I read the troubleshoot guide and it says the unit needs cleaned. I just did that before I filled it! Tried it again, four more times and nothing. The only way you can clean it is to rinse the water tank, wipe the inside of the base with paper towel and swab the disc inside the bottom of the base. All of which I did and it won't work. There has never been a sediment problem nor any discoloration due to lack of cleaning. Also, before it quit working, it's messy to fill and leaks but I put it on a glass topped table and dealt with it because it puts out good vapor and the design is better than others that I've looked at. Guess that doesn't matter when it won't work!

I loved this diffuser when I first bought it less than 1 year ago. It produces a lot of mist and runs for a good amount of time before shutting itself off. However, the water tank is a one piece, completely closed unit that cannot be opened to clean. Mine is growing black mold inside of the tank which cannot be reached with any kind of brush to scrub it out! I've tried using different cleaning agents and hot water and then shook the tank vigorously to try to dislodge the mold but to no avail. Why would anyone design something that uses water & oil but cannot be cleaned?! I'm very upset to find that we've been breathing in mold while we were sleeping! I do not recommend this diffuser, especially if you have allergies! I've attached photos showing the mold growing in the nooks and crannies as well as on the inside of the tank. Serious unhealthy design flaw. :(3-7-2016 UPDATE: I contacted the NOW company about the mold issue with this diffuser model. They sent me the phone # for the manufacturer of this model: Greenair 1-888-548-0040. When I spoke to the customer service rep, she offered to send me a new water tank after apologizing for the bad experience. So, if you're interested in getting a new water tank, call this customer service #. She also told me how to open the bottom of the tank to better clean it out. The oval shaped tube thing next to the fill opening comes out so you can clean the inside of the vertical opening. It's really tight so you have to wiggle it back and forth a bit until it comes out. This does not however, help to clean out the sides or bottom (inside) the tank, just the center, vertical tube that opens up to the small hole on the top where the mist comes out.

It started out working perfectly. The fourth usage, it failed to emit any vapor. Checked and reloaded, nothing. Very disappointed

I must have a faulty one, and if not, then I would give it a negative star. I have had a few different diffusers over the years and this one did not meet my expectations. Nice design, however, it did not diffuse my essential oils at all. Didn't matter what kind of e.o used/combined or how many drops, the oil sat at the bottom. The only time I can smell the eo is when I am dismantling the parts to dry or clean. In addition to it not diffusing the eo, the power cord is short and it took a few more steps to get it set up than other diffusers. Filling up the water was easy, but trying to get the eo into the tank took a few tries. You can't put the tank down without it falling due to the shape. I had to first get my eo ready by unscrewing their caps and have my dropper within reach. Fill up the tank, put it in between my arm and side while the other hand uses the dropper to get eo into the tank. Once set up is complete, it shoots cool mist out right away. The LED light works fine, it is quiet, and it does shut off at 8 hours. BUT, it does not diffuse the essential oils and that is why I am returning this item.

I was extremely disappointed by this diffuser. I have another that cost $10 less off Amazon, but it only lasted ~5 hours, so I wanted something with a larger reservoir, which this diffuser does have. However, used in the same room, sitting in the same location, with twice as much of the same oil I was using, I get significantly less oil smell output. The reservoir on this is somewhat of a pain to fill. You remove the top faux wood piece, and the tank separately. Then have to attempt to balance the tank while removing the lid on the bottom, and then your oils lids, filling it, and re-attaching the lid to the bottom. The inside of the reservoir clearly shows why there is less smell coming out, as after a use it is coated with what appears to be almost all the oils inserted on the inside. I think this is worthless, but I tried it long enough trying to give it a shot, that I'm sure its too late to try to return it via Amazon. I will probably try to sell it cheaply to someone who likes this diffuser for some reason, and either re-buy the other cheaper type I have again, or look for something else. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I have a mom and sister who both were looking for a diffuser, but I don't want to even gift it to someone because I feel like it is so worthless and just wastes oils.
