This is an absolutely superb trash can, very well designed and perfectly sized for Glad 13 gallon trash bags. Very easy to attach the lid if you follow the directions found on the sticker attached to the lid. Pull it off and open it up for a great little diagram. Very well designed/easy to use brackets to hold the bag in place so it doesn't fall down inside the trash can. Also a very well designed foot operated lid opening pedal that works smoothly with no effort at all.. This is a very stable trash can when operating the foot lid opening pedal. It has enough weight to not move about when operating the pedal. You may find a lower cost similar design trash can but not a better one. You get what you pay for. 100% satisfied the wife too and that's what's important to this husband.

well the last time I purchased a garbage can for my kitchen it was like 10 bucks. So, at first I balked at the price of this one. then I looked at other stores and found the days of the 10 dollar can are over. So, I bit, and I ordered and I love it.I LOVE that inner ring thingy that keeps your bag from falling into the can when you toss something in.Im not gonna waste space with a lot of words. Im just going to tell you that Im going to see if they have a smaller one just like this for my bathroom.-----UPDATE a few weeks later and I still want to say I LOVE this can. If you have ever had your trash bags fall into the can you will appreciate this can.Ive had no problems with tipping, being next to the wall or not next to the wall. So far, pretty steady. In fact feels more solid than my last cheapo garbage can.I only have one wish...that there were cool colors to choose from. neither black nor grey would be my preference. And no one reputable as far as I can see are getting down with color.Dear rubbermaid ... Bring on the lime green or Neon fuschia baby!

This is a really good garbage can for the price. It has the foot peddle for you to step on if your hands are full. My favorite feature is that it has clips on the inside that holds the bag in place. This prevents the bag from falling into the garbage can, like some other cheaper models do. I purchased 13 gallon trash bags for it and the size of the garbage can is perfect for this size of bag. It allows you to fill the bag up to the top before it's time to take it out. If you're looking for a quality garbage can that's affordable, don't hesitate to get this.

Our cat has gotten very aggressive about food lately. If she were a bear in a national park they would have shot her by now. We ordered this trash can and it is great!Benefits: Rectangular shape fits against our kitchen island better than a round can. No assembly other than snapping the lid on. Plastic is quieter than a metal lid when the lid hits the countertop behind it. Silver pedal looks cool. Large; several inches taller than our last trash can. Fits regular 13-gallon bags. Rim has bag holding clamps/handles so the trash bag can't slide down. Lid opens easily with your foot or if need be your hand. Lid stays open if you want it to (which I wanted for periods of cooking and cleaning). Cat can't get in it!Cons: Ain't no cons, this is a twenty dollar trash can mailed to your door in 2 days for free shipping!UPDATE 12/2/15: There is one con. Tonight I left some turkey on the kitchen island and the cat jumped on the lidded trashcan to get to it. Great garbage can does exactly what its supposed to and seems to keep the smell in and my favorite part is it holds the bag on th inside so it doesn't show or slip! Overall a great buy

Pretty great for under $10. It does what I need it to do. It's a good fairly large surface for ironing and the base is sturdy enough to hold some weight. The iron holder on the back is a really nice extra although it's kind of difficult to pull it out and push it back in. I also wish the large "foot" had some kind of rubber coating to keep it from sliding around on a table, but that can easily be remedied by sticking a towel or something similar underneath.Most importantly, it folds completely flat and takes up very little space in a small apartment.Overall 5 stars because it's cheap, practical and gets the job done. Are there better ironing boards? You betcha, but for less than $10 delivered to your door? Probably not.

This is a good space saving tabletop ironing board. It is light enough to be carried to any room. The cloth cover is thick and durable - have not tried washing but should be okay. Have been using it for 3 weeks now and I am happy with the purchase.

A sturdy over the door holder. The over the door hook portion is not so thick that I can't close the door. I was skeptical when ordering because I have a Y base rather than a T on my ironing board but it holds great! It doesn't hang too low, which was my main concern. I've been very pleased that it holds my iron as well. That was not something I was looking for but I'm actually really glad it does.

This much larger than I anticipated, but that's perfect for my craft/sewing needs! The height is also enough for me to work with and I absolutely love the pull out iron rest! Although, the metal iron rest took some effort (not a lot) to pull out, but I'm hoping that with more constant use, it'll easily glide out. It seems to be well made. The blue cover is super soft and the foam seems to be well made. I read a review where the writer said it would be better to have the metal table that has holes in it for the steam to pass thru and it didn't bother me so I still ordered this table. I didn't want to pay for anything big nor expensive. This table easily collapses and opens up, sits great on my mattress when in use, and the metal rail to hold the iron is sturdy. I expected the whole thing to flip over when I placed my iron on the pull out iron holder and IT did NOT even lift the ironing Board. I would recommend to anyone looking for an ironing board inexpensive and compact.

This is exactly what I needed for my small apartment. The cover/pad is a little thin as others have noted in their review, but the cover has a drawstring, so it was very easy to partially remove it, slip on a hand towel for padding, and then replace the cover over the towel using the drawstring. It worked beautifully and gives the board the extra padding that is needed. I recommend it !

While shopping for a new trash can I could not believe the prices of some! I mean, I just want something to put trash in! I could not justify a $100 can. So I found this one to replace our old, smaller and broken can. It is cheaper but fits a kitchen size trash bag perfect so when you pull it out the bag is actually full! For the price it is doing exactly what its supposed to do. It holds trash, hides the bag from hanging over the sides, has a foot to press it open. All in all its a trash can. I am not in love but I like it and it is indeed, functional.

This is a decent garbage can for the price. We use it outdoors for our dog crap. I can see the step lever that opens the top breaking after awhile though. It's not nearly as good as our Simply human garbage can that we use in our kitchen, but again, for the price it's worth it. Uses 13 gallon trash bags and you it should fill it up before you have to change the bag. Some garbage cans that use 13 gallon trash bags are smaller by volume for some reason and the bags get filled inside the garbage can before the garbage bag itself is full, but this one lets you fill up the garbage bag.

It's hard to wax poetic about a trashcan - but it is a necessary fixture in most people's homes. We were battling three things:1. Florida cockroaches are tenacious, unwelcome, and crafty. We needed to deter them as much as possible.2. We have a baby with very healthy kidneys, and throw her pee diapers in the regular garbage. We didn't want pee smell wafting around.3. We have a cat that is well versed in how to be the most annoying, and she figured out the swing top of our last trashcan, leaving us a delightful masterpiece of garbage bits every morning.I desperately wanted one of those fancy chrome trashcans with the step lid, but the price really deterred me. This can was a happy medium and three months later, it has met all of the challenges I needed it to! It's not the prettiest, but it isn't the ugliest, either. This can comes needing some assembly, but it wasn't too frustrating. It has definitely had a LOT of use, and no sign of wear or tear.

Having used this for several months, I think this is a solid product.it even has an interior handle to hold the plastic bag in place, instead of one part or another of the rim of your plastic bag being dragged down by weight, etc.only flaw is that when you press down on the bottom step to open the trash can, if the weight content is light or empty, the trashcan has an annoying tendency to slide backwards. I have a vinyl flooring, so other types of flooring may not have this issue. May need to put some non slide pads on the bottom or something.

I absolutely hate my last garbage can and paid a fortune for it. I did not like the lid and it was difficult to get the bags out of causing dirty spills when the bag tore. I shopped quite a bit online and in person checked out a couple wastebaskets before I decided on this one.The features I was most concerned with:Handsfree option to open- my parents have battery operated automatic one and it sucksLid- to keep out the dog & cat and sometimes the kidsFit 13 gallon kitchen bagsA top that would hold the bag so that it would not slip into the can.No weird bar that would end up tearing the bag and making it hard to get outThis can met all of those needs however it brought an issue I did not know I would need addressed. This trashcan is a bit too lightweight so when you step on the pedal it lifts off the floor. I am currently getting my husband to come up with an idea to make the bottom heavier so that it will not move as much. I would suggest going up a level of thickness or weight of the plastic used. Overall though this step-on wastebasket is much improved over my previous more expensive stainless steel can. It is easy to empty, the little bag holders on top are easy to empty and load the new bag onto.

Finally replaced a waste basket whose step pedal was broken. The main feature that I was looking for was the garbage bag holder that keeps the bag from falling down. Since this purchase and after a dozen bag changes the bag holder is working well and I am glad to have purchased this basket. Hopefully it will last long. As other reviewers have described, packaging and protection was not great and the basket had scruff marks. So packaging and shipment was not reflected in this review. One improvement that could be made would be on the step pedal. Because of the down slope edge of the pedal I found that without some garbage in the basket it does make it a little more difficult to open. As the foot slides off as it is being stepped on. Adding a small lip would help with gripping the pedal. Thinking about adding some epoxy dots or some hot glue. If 3.5 stars were an option I would give it that rating. But looking and price and quality this was a good purchase.

Mom likes it for assisted living. It collapses and gives her more room

Honestly it's as great as expected but an ironing board with this height is probably a little too low as your clothes might touches the ground if it's being put on the floor.

We live in a very small apartment, so I got this for the occasional ironing that I do. However, in retrospect, I should have just bought a full-size board. This one does work well for those infrequent times when you need to iron, and it works as indicated.

I'm sure it will function fine, but the iron holder was bent on mine.

It does the job, but I wish it were a little stiffer - the board itself is a bit too flexible and it would be a better product of the board cover was thicker. For occasional ironing, it's passable.

Not a bad wastebasket but it does have a couple drawbacks. If the bin doesn't have much in it or a new bag was just put in, the bin tilts forward when you step on the foot pedal because it doesn't have enough weight or stability to counter it. The top interior rim has a couple plastic guides on it that pivot. I assume these are to assist in installing a new bag and keep it in place but they tend to get in my way more than anything. Overall, not bad but could use some improvement on the design.

Assembly may be required, never bought a trash can you had to assemble before. But oh, well. It is clean inside, but looked like it has been moved around a lot with mars on outside and some red substance on bottom. If it was not so clean on inside I would think it was used.

I had hoped that this would keep in odors, but it's not fantastic with that. Plus, installation of the lid was rather unwieldy. And, one time when it fell over, the lid popped right off, so I had to install it again.For one person, it's a bit large. I'll definitely buy a smaller size next time, not to mention a different product with better odor control.

I've had for about a month now, the mechanism to push up and down is already a little slower than it was when we first put together. Overall, it serves its purpose.

When you push on the lid lever, the base of the trash can eventually slides towards the wall meaning I was constantly re-adjusting the trash can to stand up strait. I eventually fixed this by taping a triangle shaped piece of cardboard to the bottom which would counter the slide. The lid doesn't open quite as far as I had hoped, I suspect this is due to the product ensuring the lid will automatically close - small gripe.

We bought this trash can based on other users reviews who stated that their cats couldn't get into this can. It posed a slightly stronger problem for one of our cats, who usually is the offender in the trash forays, but it didn't stop him by any means. He was able to tip it over so that the lid fell open, or even climb on something near it, and just lift the lid and stick his head in. We have replaced it with a much heavier can, and are keeping our fingers crossed. The rim to keep the bag up was nice, and the can itself looks like what it is, an inexpensive kitchen trash can, but not cat-resistant in our situation.

I am first time user for the Iron board as I am learning the ironing and this is very helpful for the beginner. This is quite small I mean it does not have even length of our normal size pants but still for me it's ok

I wish that I had gotten one of the stainless steel cans that I have used in the past with great success. This Rubbermaid trash can is a pain in the neck to use because the 13 gallon bags (Glad brand) that I use seem to have an opening that is too small. When I fold the top of the bag over the clips, the flimsy plastic warps, making it impossible to get the clips to lock into place. I suppose I could return the can . . .

Not well made/designed. Seems like it will break easily after a little use due to the lid flying open when you have to push the foot pedal down so far before it starts to open. I wanted to return it for that reason and how it came in looking scuffed and old due to lack of protective packaging but my husband said not to bother.

Trash can itself looked as I expected it to be. However, it came broken which dampened the excitement. The bottom piece attached to the step portion broke off, so the trash can does not open if you step on the lever. Trash can came packaged in standard amazon packaging, which should have been fine. Just got unlucky.

This trash can is just ok. My husband ordered it because he was sick of our stainless steel motion sensored one that had a mind of its own. He wanted a foot press one and this one didn't impress me. It's definitely a good price and would be fine if you don't care what it lookes like. It's very standard and plain looking and in my opinion it looked quite silly in our kitchen so we returned it. Also, it only comes in black? Really? It may look a little better if they had a bronze/brown color and stepped the look up a notch.

Do not purchase this trash bin if you're expecting the foot pedal system to last long. Or to work at all. Straight out of the box mine was broken. It's very cheaply made and the lid doesn't even seem to fit into the pulley system as in there was no chance of it ever working to begin with. Wish I could throw this trash away in a trash bin that actually worked.

Unfortunately, the can I received is not sealing odors. It seems to be magnifying them. Luckily, I didn't throw away my older wastebasket. I bought this as a replacement, but I'm using the old one again. I literally took the half-filled trash bag out of this container and placed it in my old one. Same trash. Different can. No smell. I've done this twice. :-(

The board is very small, so check the measurements. My board was very flimsy and the iron holder on the back did not seem capable of holding a normal iron.

Do not buy if you have children in the house. The shelf that is supposed to hold the iron gave out after 5 minutes of having it and the iron fell to the floor, nearly hitting my foot!

I used this just once and a part of it came off -- I could not return it since I already removed the plastic that covered it and I also already threw the box away. This is not a durable product. I was happy about having a table top ironing board but was so frustrated I made the wrong choice. :(

Do not order this. The foot mechanism to open didn't work on the one I ordered. Am returning and expect full refund. Waste of time ordering, and now having to send it back. Quality control is in dire need of help. I've now received two, and and returning the second one tomorrow.There are hundreds of alternatives at the same price...there is a substantial need for quality control assistance for whomever produces and markets this junk. Repeat...don't purchase. "Garage can"...not a good descriptor. Remove the "can" and then you have an accurate definition.

This Rubbermaid trash can in pure unadulterated CHEAP JUNK. Flimsy lid construction - does not sit properly. "Floating" section that you are supposed to wrab bag around that will probably break in a few uses. This is a total embarassment. Can't believe it is so highly rated. It deserves a Zero rating but I'll give it a 1 just so people don't think I forgot to complete the rating.This was purchased to take the place of a SimpleHuman trash can that we were given. The SimpleHuman is expensive but it is funtional, and I assume we'll get it now. Sending the Rubbermaid one back immediately.

After seeing all of the great reviews of this trash can, I was hoping they were true. Either I received a defective one, or the design is flawed. I attached the lid per instructions, but it is too loose and the left side pops out almost every time I step on the lip opening mechanism. It is just not worth the effort to be forced to re-attach the lid every time I want to toss garbage. I defeats the point of a popup lid.

Stainless steel pedal was missing. It seemed to have broken off at some point before packaging because at the bottom it looks like something broke off and the pedal was not in the box.The only things in the box were the lid, metal rod, and basket itself.I'm sending it back for a refund. I needed it by this weekend. Looks like off to Target I go.

DO NOT BUY THIS! The metal prongs that attach to open the lid are too small. Once you attach the lid and try to open it, it flies right off the prongs.My husband tussled with this for 20 minutes and every single time the lid partially detached and once even flew clear across the room. Totally useless. I'm returning it.

It's a bit flimsy...if I try and keep the lid open it will sperate form the apparatus. It's an okay trashcan.EDIT: yeah the lid won't even open anymore. i pretty much have to lift it with my hand now. save your money on this one folks

just spend the extra few bucks to get a "life-sized" ironing board. This on just collapses every time I use it.

PROS:(1) SIZE: The dimensions of this product and its tabletop height is the main reason I ordered it. The length of the board is 32 inches long and 12 inches wide. The iron rest is about 9.5 by 6.5 inches. The height is about 6 inches. Given these dimensions, the board can easily be used in a dorm room or small apartment.---------------------CONS:(1) FOAM INTERIOR: The main issue with this board is the foam-like interior that is between the board and cover. Most boards are metal with holes to permit heat to go through the bottom. However, given this board's price, I wasn't expecting it to be high quality. But, I would expect foam that doesn't tear with use.(2) CHEAP COVER: The cover of this board is very thin and made of a cheap material. It doesn't look easily removable and certainly doesn't look washable. Thus, for a person that is using starch on dress shirts, the un-washable cover would likely be an issue.(3) Fiberboard: The "board" is simply a piece of cheap fiberboard. My main complaint with this wood type is that small pieces will chip off the sides if I put it down too hard in my closet.(4) IRON REST: The iron rest is wobbly. It slides out from the bottom of the board and doesn't appear very functional.-----------------------------OVERALL: I purchased the "tabletop with Iron Rest" for $12.27. At this price, I might give it 3 stars. However, I see that the price has increased to $14.97. Given that I want my review to accurately reflect the product. I would not recommend this ironing board. There are much better products, and honestly I would recommend spending just a little more to get an ironing board that last. For someone that does frequent ironing for more than 1 person, I believe the board will not wear well.

Came with a very strong musty odor. Washed the cover (which now doesn't fit properly) and aired it out for days but I can still smell it from another room. Otherwise quality is functional but nothing special.
