It helps save the battery. | Good blower for small to medium size areas.September 22, 2017 Good leaf blower for small to medium areas. It could be used for larger areas with 2 or more batteries. The power is decent but not equal or better than some other corded or gas blowers. Battery life can be quite short (10 - 15 minutes) when used on high but for use on sidewalks, driveways and other easy areas, the slow setting works well and battery life more than doubles. I normally use this blower and a 20V WORX trimmer that use that same battery and have been happy with the results, specially once I figured to use the blower in the low setting. It is definitely easier and more convenient to use than a corded blower just have to plan ahead and ensure to recharge the batteries prior to use. I can now easily clean the yard, garage, driveway and street side twice before needing to recharge the batteries. The only problem is the battery dies too quickly; if blowing on high it may last about 7-8 minutes, if low maybe 20 minutes. | Good for small jobsSeptember 15, 2017 Works great but uses up the batteries too quickly even when on low. It would be great for blowing off the porch before a party but it is not great for the full clean up of my large drive way, side walk and curb after trimming, edging and mowing the lawn. The issue is the battery on high speed only last for 9 mins. I thought I had a bad battery pack and called the OEM and found out that high speed is only good for 9 mins and it takes 5 hours for recharge. Cost me $10+ to ship back to amazon but will be calling all OEM's before ordering any battery power equipment in the future. Short TimeOctober 14, 2016 The criticism everyone has of this product is that is only last about 6 minutes on high per charge. For the price you would think they could work out a solution. I think I will order and additional battery to be able to do the yard in one event. The price of a 40 V is outrageous. We will just have to wait for the technology to catch up with the utility. When the battery is placed on charge, it takes about 5 hours to fully charge. I bought the blower mainly for blowing snow off of my outside deck floor, but we haven't had any snow as of yet.
