Perfect for me but read for a couple of suggestions.
December 22, 2016
I used this around our rose bushes, hedges, stairs, and lava rocks. I use it with a big trash can and strap the canvas caover around the trash can with a bungee. Yes, the bag does have a tie down strap but if you put your leaf vacuum on its highest power setting, it WILL blow off the canvas cover. Easy thing to do it is get a bungee, power up your leaf vacuum and slowly power it up so you see if the canvas cover is going to slip off. As you start walking, stop, pull the trash can closer and continue vacuuming up leaves. Its' not a design flaw. Whenever you have a blower going at it's max, it will blow off anything.

why didn't I know about this produce earlier. Saves having to stop and empty the bag every 5 minutes. Works very well, bit fiddly to fit over the can (you need to go buy a round plastic garbage container to attach it too) Hose will blow out of the bag when it's full. But works great.

Why didn't they put an insert offering this when I first bought my Toro?????? In AZ you deal with a lot of dust blowing out of the bag while it's on. I don't have to empty the bag a couple times before I'm done And I have it going directly in the trash bag! It can't get any more convenient!
Works like we thought it would

Works like we thought it would, just need to get the right container to fit the bag and had no problems with the bag coming off. You do have to MacGyver it up a little but nothing big deal.
Saves my back - totally worth it
November 2, 2015
I'm giving this 5 stars because it did everything I wanted it to do. Products like that are hard to find.I started out using the included shoulder bag that came with my Toro - but after a few hours of sucking up leaves my back always started to hurt. I'm sure that part of the problem was that I needed to hunch over just a little bit to get the right distance off of the ground. The vac kit eliminated my back issues. I don't have to hold up the leaf bag, just drag the garbage bucket around with me.Two other things people thinking of getting this product should know:1. If you are using a standard lawn container you will get leaf dust blowing out of the sides. It's very easy to clean that up if you are on a hard surface, but it's not cleaner than the shoulder bag.2. You need to play with the length of the hose inside your collection container. If you don't, the hose will just flop over and blow the leaves right at the side and a significant amount of them will come out. You want it to just hit the side and point down.
Great accessory to the Toro Blower/Vac
August 6, 2015
Great accessory to the Toro Blower/Vac. If you use a "Yard Funnel" (a funnel on top of a tube that goes into a paper lawn bag), this is fantastic. The wide opening on the top of the funnel holds the bag part open and when tightened around the narrower neck of the funnel it doesn't come off. It does leave some mess around the base from leaves coming out between the funnel and the bag, but it is very little and I just clean that up last.

Makes a great traveling trash can!
September 8, 2017
I use this as a trash can when I go camping/tailgating. It compresses flat so it takes up very little space when packing up the van and transporting.I use 55-gallon liners as people tend to overstuff. This gives me a little wiggle room if I don't get a chance to pull the liner when the can is full. This is my second one to supplement the one I purchased about 6 years ago. The first one is still going strong!
Helpful, durable, multi-purpose container
July 3, 2017
This is a very convenient receptacle for various uses. It can be used for yard clippings, branches, leaves, etc just as it is. If you have wet or small diameter trash (like sawdust) you can put a plastic bag inside. The spring keeps the bag open, and the whole thing can be collapsed for compact storage. It is identical to the receiving container used with my Toro Lawn blower/vac .

February 12, 2015
Have had this for a couple of years now and it has been fantastic. I have bought similar products in the past but since I usually leave them outside in the hot Arizona sun, they usually get brittle and fall apart within a year or two. After two years, this one is still in the same condition as when I bought it. It is also vented at the bottom, unlike any other one that I have had. It may not seem important until you try to lift one that has been in the rain and is loaded with water. Even when the kids puts yard waste in and don't empty, liquids are allows to escape the bottom.
and the handles on top and bottom make it easy to dump
December 6, 2014
This makes my lawn and garden work so much easier. It is strong but light, and the handles on top and bottom make it easy to dump. I take it with me as I prune and weed and just keep throwing everything it it until it is full. I holds a good bit but not so much that it gets overly heavy. Nice balance, and it got a lot of use this summer and is still not showing wear. I do store it inside when not in use, easy to collapse and buckle into place for storage.
Put this on your Bucket List
November 20, 2011
Pop up containers are a dime a dozen, and some of them seem to be made for that amount of change. This is a standout in a sea of look-alikes and cheaply constructed imitations. To be fair, I never throw away trash into it without using a contractor grade 3-4mil bag. I'm sure it would hold up fine without the use of a liner, but seeing as there are strategic holes in the bottom for airflow... well, you get the idea. The metal coil which acts like a spring to keep the bucket upright doesn't pop up like a jack in the box, which may seem like a check mark in the "cons" list, but it is not. You can easily compress the bucket for storage, and easily expand it as well. No surprise whack in the face, not fear of the bucket launching unexpectedly. The action is smooth, the retaining buckles easily hold it secure. As I stated earlier, the several holes in the bottom are strategic. Their presence aids in putting in a liner when empty, and extracting it when full. The plastic material it is made of seems to be holding up well, and is firmly secured to the sidewall. I take care of my things, so I haven't dragged it across the driveway or gravel road, so I can't attest to that aspect of ruggedness. However, I have lifted it by the handles after loading it full of drywall, wood, and miscellaneous materials and everything held. All in all, if you're looking for a compact trash receptacle that will ACTUALLY do what you expect it to do while garnering you compliments, this is it.
Very useful, well built, multipurpose garden accessory
July 13, 2010
I have been extremely happy with this purchase. This product is really well constructed, sturdy and fits many uses while doing yard work. I like it a lot because:1. It has a quality, durable construction.2. It has well stitched handles that make it easy to carry it from place to place.3. You can use it for multiple tasks. -You can use it simply as a storage bucket to dump tools and stuff while working in yard moving from one area to another. -You can use it to collect all your leaves whether using the toro leaf collector or otherwise. -You can even stack paper bags inside this bucket as the bucket helps keep the bags stand vertical as you try and put leaves inside the bagsI can see some reviews mentioning of a lack of belt. I frankly don't think that that is a problem because if the bucket is not filled with anything extraordinarily heavy stuff [ie say filled completely (43 g of it) with wet leaves or so] then the two handles provided with it are adequate. On the other hand, if it is heavy then carrying it by two handles is better suited to you as you shall balance the weight with both hands. I cannot imagine a bucket completely filled being carried on a belt simply because it would be very unwieldy because of its volume.hope that helps

Very handy, as long as it stays on.
December 18, 2016
This thing is amazing, as long as it stays on. Using this I was able to vacuum all the leaves from my yard in just over 2 cans. While it stayed on the work was nearly effortless. That is the one flaw with these leaf collectors though, the leaf vacuums are so strong that no matter how tightly you cinch it on it will eventually blow off the top rather spectacularly. I tried drilling small holes in my can but the tiny bits of leaves plug them almost instantly so they weren't much help. I'm not sure how they could do it but it needs to be a little more breathable to let the air out while not letting the ground up leaves out so that it doesn't pop off all the time. Overall though it did make the whole process easier so I give this 4 stars.

December 12, 2015
Most of the reviews are accurate. The only thing I would add was when you use the original bagger on your blower, you have the shoulder strap to hold up the bag and the blower. With this system you loose the shoulder strap and have to use your hands to hold up the blower, not a big deal just something I didn't think about before purchasing.
Product was received in good condition on time
November 22, 2015
Product was received in good condition on time. Product generally does what it is supposed to do but the hose does occasionally either come out of the canvas cover or the canvas cover will come off on the trash barrel I used to accumulate the leaves. Even considering these issues I would still buy the product as it does save time.

Great, but smaller than the older one
February 4, 2016
I would have given this product a five star rating because it really is a great tool. It is very durable and stands up well to stuffing it with yard waste. However, it is the second one I have bought (the first is still great) and it is smaller than my other one. I was not aware that they offered different sizes. If you can find a larger one, I think it is even more helpful for bagging lots of levels and yard waste.
Large Capacity is a Plus
August 4, 2015
I have only used this a couple of times so far, but am very happy with its' size & sturdiness. I also really like that I can store it almost flat, saving space in the garage. The bottom is sturdy. I empty it after my yard work is finished each time, so I can't say if the bottom would stay sturdy if clippings, limbs, etc were left in it for an extended period of time. I would order it again.
Portable Trash Can
February 4, 2014
This is a wonderful portable trash can. It holds a large garden bag, stands up well, folds up easily and is sturdy. I expect this trash can to last me for many years. I didn't give it five stars because it is slightly heavier and bulkier than I was hoping for and it's a little bit difficult to fold up by myself. But I love the clips for holding it together when it is folded up. It is easy to hang on the garage wall for storage, and it is easy to reposition in the yard. I have even used it indoors for an extra trash can for a large party.
Better than garbage bags
August 30, 2013
I live in a community where I have to cart any yard waste to a collection facility (all right a dump, there I said it). No big deal really. This bucket is a great replacement for garbage bags, which always seem to tear right as I load them into the car. This Toro brand is more rugged than others I have tried. My only word of warning is NOT to drag this across concrete while fully loaded. I jammed it full of waste sod one time to the point where I could not lift it. As such, I dragged it across my driveway to the car and all of the stitching wore away on the bottom. The bottom became detached, which made it unusable. My bad. Not really a fair test of ruggedness, but I mention it nonetheless. Otherwise, this bucket has held up to just about anything else I have used it for. It is great that it collapses flat for easy storage. I bought this one to replace the one I made unusable. I have a second one that I have used for about 10 years with no issues. Still going strong.
Leaf Buckets
December 1, 2010
Although this bucket is listed as "43 gallon" and the Fiskars equivalent as "30 gallon", the Fiskars is actually a bit larger and holds more leaves. Both are made of cheaper plastic than my older versions. The Toro has a stronger bottom. The Toro has a different fastener system (plastic clips as usually found on luggage). The clips are a bit easier to use than the Fiskars "loop and button" system, but are bulkier. The "Toro colors" are just as bright as pictured, so be sure you like them! All in all, a good product, stores flat, does the job for a reasonable price.

Just okay.
July 5, 2017
I would say this is just okay. I have the normal bag attachment but a) it gets heavy and is not the best on my back and b) I have to empty it quite frequently which uses up a lot of extra time. I was looking for something like this to get through a large pile of leaves with out hurting my back or having to keep dumping the bag. Even though there is a drawstring, the seal is not that great. So, as you are sucking up the leaves, mulching dust is flying out of this attachment which is not great. We have to put our leaves in yard bags for collection. We have a funnel for inside the bags to keep them upright. However, when you attach this, the weight of the hose and force of the air is so much that it is hard to keep the bag/funnel upright, so you keep having to bend down and pick it up. Worth a try as it is not expensive...but I don't think it will be a magic solution.

January 11, 2016
As with the other posts the biggest issue is getting the cover to stay on the trash can. A bungee cord helped but when you max out the vacuum's suction power the covered balloons and starts to pull free from the trash can.
Great when it stays on the can.
March 24, 2015
Did not work as well as I expected. Keeps coming off the can even with a bunge cord when I use the vac at full power. Works great when it stays on. Could be why Toro doesn't sell it direct anymore. I'll continue to use. May need to buy a new can that can be secured better.

Bottom seam fell apart
September 29, 2016
After only one season of use the seam at the bottom came apart. If I could turn the bucket inside out I might be able to repair the seam, but it appears this would b difficult. Just disappointed that it didn't last longer. Maybe tougher binding for the bottom seam and a wider seam would keep it from pulling apart.
I ordered this spring bucket because it was a Toro but I am disappointed in it
March 3, 2016
The first time i used it I lifted a heavy load by the handles on the side and the stitching holding the handles started to pull out also i noticed two spots where the spring is wearing through the material on the side. I ordered this spring bucket because it was a Toro but I am disappointed in it.
Disappointment!!
February 18, 2016
I had one of these containers I bought about 10 years ago and wore like iron. This Toro unit does not seem to be as tough. The first time in use one of the handles started to tear where it was sewn to the body. The spring also dos not have the strength that it should have to hold the container up. It wants to collapse easier than my old one when inserting a plastic yard bag. but it comes back up after the bag is inserted. I am somewhat disappointed. but it is a useable item and is very useful in many ways. These units are great for yard work but I don't think the Toro one will last too long, not like the Toro lawn machines do which are the best in my book.
Disappointed.
September 1, 2015
Bought this exact item about 2 years ago and loved it. Ordered a second one this summer and it is not the same quality. It is much flimsier and one of the Velcro tabs is already starting to come apart. If I didn't have one to compare it to, it would probably be fine. Just disappointed that they would change the their product for the worse.
It is very useful.
June 6, 2015
I use this trash a lot with industrial trash bags. It is very useful. I will need a new one each summer because I tried to use it for heavy lifting. I tried to carry Hosta from lawn to car and they were too heavy. the bottom strap and one clip broke:( Use it for REASONABLE lawn trash ONLY!
Only Lasted About A Year
July 23, 2012
Bought this in May 2011 and have used a couple of times per month since then. Everything seemed to be holding up well until one of the handles ripped. Note that it did not detach where it was sewn to the bucket. The handle material itself ripped away at the seam. Still useable with one upper handle, but who knows for how long.

Odd design, weight and shape so it doesn't tightly hold onto the surface of a garbage pail that well but once you get it sealed and going it's too heavy and doesn't want to flex so it just knocks over the garbage pail your attached too.
Doesn't work as well as I hoped
October 13, 2016
I've used this a couple of times now, and I am beginning to regret spending the money. - The cloth apron on this does not mate well with Rubbermaid Brute trash cans. it pops off frequently. From looking at the directions, it seems to be designed to work with a proprietary Toro bag. - When it is attached and running, the hose pops out of the apron quite easily (i.e. with a slight tug on the hose). The hose is only inserted into apron with an elastic kind of closure. The two pieces are not melded together in any strong way. All in all, this is not that much better than just using the bag and emptying it. I will end up using Gorilla tape to attach the hose, and I'll need to find a new container that the apron will work better with. Not what I expected to have to do.
Still Searching for the Perfect Setup...
January 19, 2016
I wanted to like this. I have been searching for a quicker and more back friendly way of bagging leaves as it is a huge chore year after year. I agree with other reviewers, you will need to have an extra fastener to connect the hose to the cloth part. I used a dryer vent fastener (the kind that has a screw to tighten it) and it would still pop off once or twice over a 4 hour period.I used the hose and cover setup with this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OZHXZM?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_44 and put the funnel straight into a leaf bag. When I conceived all this in my head I thought I was a genius and would cut the bagging time in half. Well the setup was too heavy so the bag would just tip over. I then put the bag/funnel/kit into a big Rubbermaid yard waste trash can which solved the tipping issue. At the end of the day though, this hose would just get clogged and then I would have to take the entire setup apart to unclog it. Additionally, as others have said the seal is never going to be tight enough so you end up inhaling a lot of leaf debris as you are mulching. It is in my garage now hanging up but I suspect it will be in the give away pile next before next fall. If I had it to do over again I would just buy the regular bag that attaches to my Toro blower and use it on the hard to rake/blow areas of the yard. Then I would use the funnel referenced above to use the old "lay the bag on the side and stuff leaves" method to complete the job.
A puzzle waiting to be solved
May 30, 2015
There is a fundamental flaw in the concept of this product in that the very action of blowing leaves into a container with this attached to it, will necessarily build up a pressure sufficient enough to try to blow this loose (or the hose) from the container. It ultimately is easier (less frustrating) to just pick up the leaves and pile them in to the container.I will say that the product is very well made, and of superior materials, but it needs to be coupled with a container that can let air out from another opening as the leaves and air are forced into the container. I tried this with my plastic trash can lined with a leaf trash bag, but it kept blowing leaves out the exit port along with the excess air. I then tried putting screen wire over the exit port to stop the leaves, and let only the air out, but then it quickly clogged up with leaves and built up pressure in the container again. I suspect that the problem is solvable, but I just gave up and went back to the old scoop and dump method. This is a product that only a tinkerer could love. If you crack the puzzle, let me know, as I would like to be able to use this.

Not up to heavy use.
July 16, 2017
Bought this in August 2015, used often but one handle tore loose early on, then within the past three months the bottom has started to come off, impossible to reattach. For this size it should be of sturdier construction and stand up to rough use. Won't buy another of this brand, looking for better quality.
Poor construction.
December 7, 2016
One season of use now. Soon after I got it. the top metal ring broke making it hard to get bags in it. Very disappointed as the last one of these I bought years ago seemed to last forever.
Great design, not a great quality
October 10, 2014
Great big storable bin with buckles to keep it compressed when not in use. Looks sturdy but I used it a handful of times and it ripped right where the buckle attaches. Not only that I cannot store it in its compact shape, there is now a hole and it is useless. I trusted Toro over other brand as I have couple other tools from them. Now it is over 30 days after purchase and I am stuck and out of luck.
Expected more form Toro! Think about how you will use this from lawn to curb than find something like it made better.
August 17, 2014
Bought this with Hand Leaf Rakes...and was mostly disappointed. The expanded bucket is a lot more flimsy than I expected...it kept collapsing when throwing large Hand Rake loads into the bucket...plus, kind of a pain to have to reload into paper bags required by the city, if you don't have a rigged refuse bin to transfer bucket loads to....creating way to much rework from lawn to curb. Also, annoyed by the the cheap quality of the Velcro straps intended for use when collapsing the bucket and storing it away. Not enough of them (2), work better if three, but poorly glued to the ends of the bucket, tearing away after the first use. Expected a lot more from Toro!!!
Faulty Quality Control in Manufacturing
June 28, 2014
I have owned earlier models of this product for years. My use is collecting garden debris, etc., for removal. I have a five acre piece of property. Over time the buckets wear down. In fact one of my old ones has the metal rod sticking out on top and has the bottomsewn for new strength. The old buckets I own have been used without incident hundreds of times. My new buckets arrived (purchased 3) and were put into use filling with garden debris. When I picked up the first bucket I heard the tearing of stitching. Looked closely and saw the handle threading pulling away from the bucket itself. All three buckets have the handles tearing away. In fact, when I picked up one full bucket by the bottom handle and the top handle, the bottom handle pulled completely off the bucket. The product states there is a two year warranty so I am contacting the manufacturer.
Lasted one year
May 13, 2014
Initially, I loved this product. It was great for bagging leaves last fall. It is light, easily holds bags and holes in bottom eliminate the problem of air getting stuck between the bag and the bucket when filling and creating a vacuum when dumping. But when I used it this spring to carry mulch, one of the lower handles tore loose. The dry wood mulch weighs more than dry leaves, but still isn't that heavy. I expected a better product from Toro.

This product did not work out for me. Not good!
February 19, 2017
Toro blower vac kitI bought this because every Tory leaf collection bag I have owned failed within two to three days. The zippers are poorly made and fail. With the leaf collector:►First trash can would not keep the chopped leaves from blowing out around the edges. It also allowed the cape to blow off.►Second trash can kept the cape on, but the leaves collected around the rim, making it impossible to remove the cape without spilling a lot of chopped leaves, requiring a second vacuuming.►I discovered that the hose is too short. Taking more than one step from the trash can caused it to tip over.►Moving the trash can is difficult, without first shutting the vacuum off.►The hose is attached to the cape with elastic, with nothing to keep it from popping out. Mine did come out and spewed chopped leaves all over the place.►When I tried to move the vacuum and attachment from one end of my deck to the other, I fell over the hose, landing on it. The hose was crushed. At that point I gave up.

Waste of money. Bag doesnt stay on can, and not enough power to get everything through the hose. Now it sits in the shed....
Disappointed
December 20, 2016
Good idea, but it doesn't want to stay on the trash can and when you get it to stay, the hose blows out of the top of the can cover
Hose clogs too easily, bag and tube wont stay connected, bag won't securely fit around bag or can.
February 2, 2016
Pros: Connects well to the vacuumCons: Leaves get stuck in the long crinkled tube. The bag disconnects way to easily from the tube and does not fasten securely to the bag or trash can.Summary:This thing is terrible. Constantly comes unhooked, hose gets clogged up. Don't waste your money.
Good idea, poor execution
December 20, 2015
If you are looking at this option to replace the cheap collection bag that came with your Toro leaf blower/vac, be aware that it is of the same cheap construction. I have tried fastening this unit to a variety of baskets and garbage pails, and it does not stay on anything well. When it has remained in place long enough, the force of the vacuum output eventually blows the hose back out, for there is nothing holding it securely to the nylon fabric. After two flimsy collection bags ripped completely at the zipper and this cheap hose-and-cover option proved to be no better, I am done throwing money away on Toro products that only disappoint.

Very Disapointed in quality, used it twice for light yard waste, ( weeds, leaves, grass etc.). Never left outside or left full of debri. The bottom tore off while emptying. June 25, 2016
A considerable disappointment. I have had two Toro bags for a decade or more and they have always given me excellent service. The first of the two that I purchased a month or so ago started to fall apart the first time I tried to use it: one of the bottom handles tore off and the bag started to tear where the side and the bottom came together. I'm almost afraid to try to use the second bag.Addendum: I tried the second bag I bought and it's just as bad as the first. Both of them have either fallen apart or are in the process of falling apart. While I loved the "old" Toro bags, I just can't recommend the "new" ones.

April 25, 2016
Bottom of bag tore out after first use. Expected better from a Toro product. Sent message to Toro customer service for possible replacement its been 4 days no reply. Customer service automated response said should of within 48 hours. Crap product . Replacement sent after 6 days. Hopefully replacement will prove to be more durable.
this is a waste of money
September 17, 2015
I have only used this for one and a half seasons, with a Toro blower, to pick up leaves. Unlike the Toro blower, this is a waste of money. One handle has ripped completely off and the rest are ripping more and more. The bottom is partially open since any slight dragging will cut the exposed threading that holds it together. This should be considered for light duty only..!
Don't waste your money. It gave out after two uses.
May 13, 2013
We bought cheap containers in the past, and decided to just buy a quality product this year instead of repeatedly having to replace them. Did our research and at least our old crappy ones lasted a year. This Toro started to unravel after two uses. Tried customer service. My call was important to them. Wait time under two minutes. I gave up after twenty minutes. AVOID this piece of junk.
