Can not beat this price or this great set. If you are stainless steel cooker
June 24, 2017
Can not beat this price or this great set. If you are stainless steel cooker, and do not want to finance your cookware; by all means purchase this set. I have high dollar cookware, and could not access it do to a recent move. I bought this to use until I was able to get my set, and planned to giving this away once I had; but this set will be staying, and is very comparable to the exspensive set. Looks great, performs great, and cleans up very well. Nicely packaged too. Good job! Thank you for saving my bacon. In more ways then one.
Great Quality
November 20, 2015
This is a high quality set considering the price. Anyone who says everything "burns and sticks" needs to educate themselves on how to cook with stainless steel cookware. Read and learn. I would guess they are used to cooking with Teflon coated. Crank up the heat, nothing will stick. But eventually that Teflon will become part of your meal.
Amazingly Wonderful Stainless Steel Cookware!!
November 18, 2015
These are the most amazing pots and pans ever!!! I bought them because of them being 18-10 stainless steel mirror polished inside and outside. I am replacing all of my cookware with stainless steel because of the health risks associated with aluminum cookware. I purchased these for my son and I am ready to purchase one or two more set for myself and my daughters. This is probably one of my best and most successful purchases when it comes to meeting my expectations of quality and ease of using. They are very pretty to look at, the weight of the pots and pans are solid, the glass lids have a vent hole to help release steam and prevent steam burns when removing the tops, and they just have a feel of a top quality cookware set - in my opinion this set ranks right up there with the "big name" cookware products. Thumbs up 100 times!!! YAY!!!!!
Nice!

I thought they would be a little bigger but it's perfect for my family of 3. They cook REALLY well on my ceramic top stove and they are very nice to look at.
Great Cookware!!!

WOW does not describe this cookware enough. I just purchased a induction stove and our old stainless steel cookware did not have a flat bottom, so it did not work well. The Cook N Home cookware has a good flat bottom and good quality 18/10 stainless steel, so it works very well. I took the 2 quart sauce pan with 2 cups of water and it only took 1.5 mins. to come to a boil. The quality and performance is there. I looked at all the Name Brands for $300 to $500 and I could not believe the quality of this cookware. For $65 you can't go wrong.

Bought this as a temporary cooktop when my Electolux went belly up so that I didn't have to rush into making a $2000 hasty decision and it has been really good. It heats up the pans quickly and efficiently. It is mildly noisy because of a fan needed to cool the components, but all induction hobs have that feature. I particularly liked the cooktime automatic off for things like cooking rice where you want the direct heat off at a certain time and it is still ok to have a warm burner while the rice steams. I have only used this for about a month, so I don't knowits long term durability. It cleans up easily, it's light weight and easily portable. It would be perfect for an efficiency apartment, a burner if you are renovating your kitchen, a spare hearing element at Thanksgiving when your stove top is already full, and a single burner to film all the cooking instruction videos you want to post on youtube.
I did not use the temperature settings as I found the numerical settings to be fine for my cooking.
I have used it multiple times a day every day for the month I've had it and i have no complaints.
Well made and easy to use.
January 22, 2017
I stopped just short of giving this 5 stars only because of the fan noise. I've used it several times and it has performed flawlessly. From quick meals to several hours simmering fresh tomatoes for sauce, it has been a pleasure to use. ... UPDATE 3/15/17 ... Now that I've owned and used this unit for several months, I wanted to upgrade my review. I brought it up to 5 star and added these few words. I did not change a word of what my first impression was. This is the 2nd induction unit I've owned in 10 or so years, and now I'm quite pleased with it because I've learned the difference between the old analog GE 1200 watt unit I still have, and this 1800 watt digital unit. The GE had a slider control, the Duxtop is digital. The slider works like a gas pedal. Digital (on this unit) starts at 5, or half power when you turn it on. You can change that to a temp mode and set it to the temp you wish, but I've found that isn't the best thing to do. Let the pan heat up a bit. Keep in mind, no cook top can replace the skill it takes to pay attention. Either you can cook or you can't. Pans vary greatly also. Pay attention to what you are doing! This has been not only been my everyday go to unit, I want to buy another! It's smooth surfaces are easy to clean, and it's holding the test of time! I simply love it!
Great Product, I Recommend.
March 3, 2015
I really like it and I have now purchased 3 of these. They are quite economical and take up little space yet can do a large job (see pictures including a large 12 inch sauce pan). Easy to operate and extremely fast, so far they doo all that the manufacturer said they will do. I am quite pleased. I can store when not needed and even take out side in good weather and use in conjunction with my BBQ.
I have had to get used to cooking so quickly, this is not like an electric hot plate, this is real induction cooking. You can cook 2 ways one by setting and monitoring the temperature or, two by setting an a specified level that will not be temperature sensative, great for searing. There are built in safety provisions such as auto shut down after 70 minutes
You must have proper cookware, check your pans with a magnet. If the magnet sticks they should be ok, if the magnet does not stick you will need new pans. My Wolfgang Puck pans were copper-clad and did not work so I purchased some great Duxtop cookware (pictured beneath the cook tops)..
Highly recommend!
December 30, 2014
We love this! I am still learning what it is best for cooking but certainly anything where you want something to boil quickly and to maintain the boil or simmer for a long time. The multiple settings make for a lot of control and once something is boiling you can back off the power level quite a bit and still maintain a boil. Back off even more for a simmer. The controls are super simple to use.
I checked the pots that I had with a magnet before buying this and discovered I had at least 5 pots that would work with it so didn't need to buy more. The teapot works great on it and because of its small base, boils much faster than it did on our gas range where there was a lot of loss of energy going around the kettle. This is a good way to add more cooking space that is more energy efficient than gas or electric stoves. One slight negative is the fan does run while it is on and for about 1 min. after cooking. Don't unplug it (recommended) until the fan shuts off. It uses normal household current plugs but it is best if it is the only appliance running on that circuit as it pulls too much of the power to run an additional appliance at the same time.
I am still happy I purchased the DUXTOP 1800 watt Induction Cooktop for more reasons than I can share here! I'll share some.
December 1, 2014
This little induction cooktop does everything it needs to do very well on a countertop. If you want to cook your food without heating the entire room then this is the counter \ table top cooking unit for you. Remember that this is an induction cooktop which means it heats the pan by exciting the atoms in magnetic pans. If a pan does not have a strong attraction for a magnet you can not use the cookware on any induction cooktop.

I found it best to use a stainless steel or cast iron pan that has a very flat bottom. If your magnetic pan has too many curves, patterns, dents, bends or decorations in its bottom the cooktop metal sensors might not auto detect the pan when it is in place on the cooktop. Cooking with magnitism is like cooking with gas in that any change in the settings is almost immediately translated to change in heat levels the pan and food. the minute you change the heat the inducer immediately stops aggitating the atoms and the heat drops off fairly quickly. In an heating element stove waste heat continues to discharge long after the element has been reduced or turned off.

Cooking the perfect dish is all about being able to manage the heat input into the pan and the food contained therein. Magnetic induction cooking allows for the most percise cooking due to its ability to terminate heat and moderate heat in an almost instanteanous way. Best of all Induction cooking does not polute the room with lots of waste heat as radiiant elements do. Radiant elements raise your air conditioning bills in summer because; they heat the house along with the food. Induction cooking heats only the pan, the room is heated only by the waste heat from the cooking process itself. Another cool thing about induction cooking is it allows you to bring the cooking to the table if you want to show off your cooking skills. If you want to make pancakes right at the table this will let you do just that. I have a flat cast iron pancake griddle and I can make pancakes right at the table with this WOW how awesome.

The settings and controls on this DUXTOP unit are clear and easy to understand. Another cool thing is the numbers light up they are NOT LCD numbers that are often harder to read when you get older. This unit is better for old people because; unlike radiant heat burners these magnetic stoves don't get as hot. Yes the pan is hot but their is not the danger posed by waste radiant heat. Another safety system is the DUXTOP magnetic cook top turns itself off when the magnetic pot, griddle or pan is removed from its surface. No more fires from leaving a radiant cooking source in the on position. If an elderly person takes the cooking vessel off the magnetic cooktop all energy shuts down and the surface becomes cool to the ytouch much sooner than any radiant heat cooking source. This Magnetic induction cooking technology is awesome for so many reasons and I just shared a few here.

This DUXTOP unit is awesome. I have had no trouble with it heating up and doing everything I need. The only negative is the heat only goes to 450F and I would have liked 500F. I like making candy apples for the kids. I need a really hot pan to make candy apples. It is a small inconvenience but I note it in fairness and accuracy. I am still happy I purchased the DUXTOP 1800 watt Induction Cooktop.

Cookware is great. Once you learn to use stainless steel there is not a problem. Heat it up, add the oil and go. I even did eggs in the frying pan that didn't stick. cant wait to get my new induction range to try everything out on that1

November 17, 2016
Great product for the price! Only reason for the 4 stars is because the skillet and "Large" pot is smaller than what I expected, and am used to.But I love it! Especially for someone using it to cook for 1 or 2 people, YOU CANNOT BEAT THE PRICE. Build quality is nice! Heavy bottoms; just have to know how to cook with stainless. Read so many comments about sticking food - LEARN HOW TO COOK! LOLHighly recommended for those on a budget. Even after many washes, still shiny, only mild discoloration on the rim of my frying pan. Nothing that CLR can't fix.
Very good value!

These stainless steel pans cook and clean beautifully. They aren't lightweights, but they aren't as heavy as the non-stick set I had purchased previously, which makes them much easier to handle, and I don't need to worry about non-stick coatings scratching off and putting residue in my food.

Only took two days to become essential in my kitchen... .. !
August 29, 2017
Previously highly skeptical of induction cooking, this unit has changed my mind. Incredible how the heating stops immediately when turned down or off, fantastic for making gravy and sauces. Useful in not burning sensitive things by using the temperature settings. Pleased by how the even cooking keeps the pan cleaner after pan frying (sauté). Delighted with the electrical cost savings (here the electric rates are over three times higher than the national average). Comforted by the lower heating of the kitchen (107.4°F here yesterday). Plus when used with VonShef Induction Hob Heat Diffuser Stainless Steel, Medium (23.5cm/9.25") nearly all of the non-induction cookware is usable. My friends now only talk with me if I promise not to brag on it.The downsides. Not particularly useful for cooking pasta. A nice product improvement would be adjustable feet for uneven surfaces

May 23, 2017
I got this unit two years ago, I use it just about every day, it has worked flawlessly. It has taken awhile to learn how to use it, but with some experimenting, it can be used with quite a bit of fines. I use it with a Fagor stainless steel pressure cooker, and it works great. I can bring it up to pressure and use the timer function to cook all different kinds of dishes, to perfection.
I would give this product a five stare rating, but over time the glued on control panel plastic label has a small crack near one of the buttons, and it has become slightly miss aligned near one end. This kind of spoils the clean look of the unit, but it does not affect the way it operates. I would buy this cooktop again but I would probably get the 9600 model, as it has more temperature settings. and it looks like the control panel is better.
Not sure induction cooking is for me even though it has some great features
March 23, 2017
Not to sure if Induction cooking is really for me. I love that it heats quickly and that you can set time and temperature. No more scorched, cook to eat pudding without constantly stirring. I don't know if it is just this brand or the item I received but it is finicky on what it will work with.I purchased a set of two pots and two frying pans that were made for induction cooking. It would not detect the two smaller pans though the steel plate on the bottoms were the same size. I called customer service and they told me that not all pans are created equal so to try a magnet on the bottoms of the pans to see if and how well it stuck. The magnet grabbed all 4 pans to the point that I could pick the pans up at least a little bit depending on their weight so based on what they told me I see no reason they shouldn't work, but the induction plate will not detect the smaller smaller two. The steel base is the same size as the larger pans and they all attrat magnets very well. Of course Customer Service for both companies blame the problem on the other.
Does the job
March 17, 2017
I replaced a NuWave induction plate with this. The heat circle is smaller and the fan is louder but performs as well as the NuWave. Easier to set the timer. I use the timer all the time now since I tend to forget to check on the boiling water or rice or whatever I am cooking. Saves burnt food or boiled over water. Increases temp 20 degrees at a time, the NuWave does it 5 degrees. NuWave more precise but I had 2 of them and the buttons wore out about the same time, in less than a year. I hope this one lasts longer.
I like the product.
June 16, 2015
I like the product. It heats well and is easy to control and clean. The fan noise is the only problem, but so far I am happy when I use this. Unrelated to the product itself, you can not avoid a high pitch noise the induction makes. It seems a little bit annoying particularly for young people.

The fry pan is not good for eggs or anything delicate that needs to keep shape (pancakes, omelets, etc) sticks pretty badly, used plenty of oil too. May 15, 2017
I like the product however with a small light pan at the lowest setting it still boils at high power off and on. It seems that it is using a slow power on off method to control the average power. This will not work to do a simmer function and will burn foods. I will try a cast iron griddle with the small pan on top to try and absorb the high energy during the on period and dissipate it during the off period.
Disappointed
January 19, 2017
This was a gift for my daughter and she felt that the "pod" was larger than she expected - I may have forgotten to check that detail. She also said that she expected the surface to cool off immediately after turning it off. It didn't do that. She was trying out the unit to see if she wanted to replace her current electric range with an induction one and she's still not sure. I guess that her next step is to get a real time demonstration from an appliance store.
Other than that it is a great machine and very powerful
February 21, 2016
From reading the comparison between the 8100MC & 9100MC, I bought the 9100MC. The review was articulate and I agree w/the suggestion to buy the upgrade - well worth the extra $10. However, when I first used the machine I realized the review never stated they had actually tested it. They only listed the available features - as if they all worked. My issue is the low end power settings. Even on the very lowest 140 degrees soup boils. This makes it impossible to slow cook, simmer oats, simmer soup or simmer anything. I have new stainless steel inductive cookware so that is not the problem. Other than that it is a great machine and very powerful.
Ok for small stuff.
November 24, 2015
The stovetop is ok - not fantastic, but ok. I use it with my cast iron cookware, and the pan does not cook very evenly. There is a ring where the heating occurs - about 6 inches in diameter, with a two inch diameter hole in the middle. Outside of that, and there just isn't any delivery of heat. I have had food burn on the ring, while outside of it the pan stays wet.
The temperature setting is not terribly great either - if you set it to a temperature, the oven seems to cook at full-blast until the glass top warms up, then it reaches a steady-state and does ok, but that initial warming really does a number on any food already in the cookware.
It does, though, heat up pans very very quickly. As others have said, if you are looking to boil water this is definitely the speedy way to do it.

For smaller pans, this would probably be fine, but this is certainly not a great stove for larger-diameter cookware.
Uneven heating
November 8, 2015
I tried to cook some bacon on this and I was surprised at how unevenly it heated. I tried two different pans (a cast iron pan and an All Clad pan). There was a significant hot spot near the center. Later I did some tests using the All Clad, which was about 1/2" larger in diameter than the outer circle on the cooktop. I sprinkled some flour in the pan and turned on the cooktop to see where it started to brown first. There was very clearly a hot spot near the center of the cooktop. Just to be sure it wasn't due to variations in the metal of the pan I ran the test again, but this time I offset the pan. There was still a hot spot, and it was near the center of the cooktop (not the center of the pan). I also took the temperature at the center and edge of the pan with an infrared thermometer and there was a 90F difference. See the photos.
If I was was just using this to heat up water or keep some other liquid warm, I think it it would be fine. For anything else, I'm not so sure. It took a fair bit of shuffling to cook bacon without burning the center while leaving the ends raw.

This is going back to amazon!! Quality and weight of the cookware looked good initially. Tried to use one of pan to cook potatoes with cumin. But had a terrible experience, food was sticking in-spite of cooking it on medium heat on induction complimenting it with enough oil. After finishing the food I could see the burning marks on the bottom and inside the pan. Which could not be removed by washing

Temperature mode faulty.
August 4, 2017
I had this unit for just under 30 days and primarily used it in 'Power' mode. I decided to try the temperature mode and was alarmed to find that upon warm up the cooktop would heat the pan to over 550 degrees before cooling down - I measured this temperature with a 'Fluke' 568 IR thermometer which is very accurate. I found this to be extremely dangerous. Anything that would have been in the pan would have been burned - the oil in the pan was smoking. This was using the default temperature of 320 degrees but my experience was the same even when the temperature was set to 200 degrees. The manual suggests using the 'Temperature' mode for frying as the pan is supposed to reach the desired temperature and then stay there. That was not the case with my unit. I returned it.....
Plastic case has cracks on both sides after 4 months
February 28, 2017
The cooktop works well. One problem is after about a couple of months, the plastic case has cracks on both sides. Not sure this is a common issue for this model, or just for this particular unit I got.

Another problem is the top edges of the plastic case is a bit higher than cook top. So hot pan will damage/melt the plastic edges if the hot pan touches the edges. This seems a design issue.
Fan noise is crazy loud, cant stand it.
November 3, 2016
Maybe I received a bad one, but if this is the way it is, than maybe they design this cooktop for outdoor use. The fan is super loud, is like I have a blower running, yeah, thats right! is that loud! Return!

Replace with the NuWav Pro 1800-Watt, much much better!
Amazing Cooktop / Unbearably Loud
February 17, 2016
I wanted to love the Duxtop 9100MC, but at the end of the day its flaws are just to hard to over look. Unfortunately the unit generates an unbearable high pitched squeal that gets louder each step up in power you set it to. At its highest settings its legitimately headache inducing. I will be returning mine soon because of it.

Pros:
+Simple / Well made unit
+Incredibly powerful, it boiled water much faster than any other type of cooktop I've used

Cons:
-Loud Fan
-Unbearable high pitched squeal which gets louder the higher the temp is set to (- 3 Stars)
Loud fan and very annoying buzz if used with clad induction compatible stainless steel pans.
October 28, 2015
Arrived with some screws that had fallen out. After putting them back in the unit worked but is unusable to me due to the very loud high pitch buzz when used with high quality clad pans. I have many years of induction cooking experience and I have never experienced this type of buzz with these pans. The buzz is not present if the unit is used with cast iron or enamel covered iron pans, in that case you only have to deal with the very loud fan.

Pros:
- small and light weight
- appears powerful

Cons:
- doesn't seem very robust, screws in soft plastic came loose during shipping
- loud fan for all pans
- loud high pitch buzz when used with stainless steel induction compatible pans

I have no verdict on reliability because I returned it because of the to me unbearable buzz that I have not experienced on other induction stoves.

EVERYTHING STICKS!!
November 19, 2015
First, these pans are amazing quality. They're sturdy, beautiful, and you can tell they aren't "cheap."Now, for the 1-star part: everything on the planet sticks to this pan. It's like a magnet! I understand they aren't "non-stick" pans, but I've tried every trick in the book, and food ALWAYS burns on it (even at medium heat!). I cook chicken? It burns on and sticks. I cook pasta? It burns on and sticks. I cook fish? It REALLY sticks. Even after soaking the pans in hot water and scrubbing with a sponge & soap/baking soda, it doesn't budge. I really wanted to love these pans because of how well they heat up and how sturdy they are, but the cleaning process is a nightmare. It was so bad that my boyfriend offered to buy me a whole new set of pans since it was stressing me out so much.So if you're looking for good quality pans, sure these are great. Just know what you're getting into ahead of time.

I'm happy with my first Secura DUXTOP 1800-Watt Induction Cooktop Countertop Burner 9100MC, but then I bought another one in December, thinking it would be great having two. The one I purchased in December worked no more than a dozen times before it quit working at all. I was shocked when I went online and learned that I had no options for returning or replacing my defective cooktop. I'm disappointed in Amazon, Secura, and in myself for not doing more research on Secura's return and warranty policy. I feel especially bad encouraging so many Amazon users to purchase the Secura DUXTOP 1800-Watt Induction Countertop Burner 9100MC, realizing now that if there is any recourse for a consumer, when a nearly new cooktop stops working, I've been unable to discover it, regardless of spending many frustrating days making phone calls and wasting time online.
