GREAT FOR THE PRICE AND QUALITY
Coul not be any happier
January 31, 2016
We are so pleased with our Tonno cover it is hard to convey. We priced the exact same cover from an independent dealer and the price was double what we paid. A friend helped with the installation of not only the cover but the Pop Lock with camera access for the tail gate. Entire process took about 45 minutes. A neighbor just purchased a new truck and after seeing our cover, said he was getting one. Truly very pleased.
Great cover!!

Works well to keep things dry and covered. Fits great, easy to get on and off and light enough for me to do it without help. Would recommend.
Tonno Pro 42-501
April 30, 2013
Highly recommend this product. Why - it's cheap and it works. Purchased a USA Truck Cover for like $1800 when my 2006 Tacoma was brand new. 7 years later, the original cover has not retracted properly for the last 2 yrs. Found why, the rolling mechanism has rusted. Not really understanding this as the mechanism is covered, not directly in the weather. The "masking tape, " or whatever tape that they used to try to keep the slats from leaking started peeling off in 2009. Since the cover leaked all the time. It also looked like crap when I opened the tailgate and had all these random pieces of tape hanging down off the inside of the truck cover. The once shiny finish was dull by 2008.

This Tonno Pro, under $300 cover has not leaked. Moreover, it is easy to take off and on with no tools. I can use the full bed of the truck when I need to. In 2 years if the vinyl looks like crap, guess what? I'll throw it away and get a new one. For $1800, I could have bought 6 of these.

Love it. Fits well, easy to take in and out. Getting 17.5-17.6 mph instead of 14.0 before installing. I do a lot of highway driving 25% better gas mileage? Wish I had brought it sooner.
Great Product! GREAT price! Recommend to ANYONE

Fits PERFECT! I got this for my 2013 Ford F150 Platinum Edition and MAN WAS I IMPRESSED! Great Quality! It even COMES WITH WORK GLOVES so your hands don't get dirty, COVER PROTECTOR SPRAY to improve longevity of the cover & an LED FLASHLIGHT with velcro to attach into the bed of your truck so you can see at night and pull off in case you need a little light elsewhere. It keeps the bed of the truck dry. No leaks (and we have had a lot of rain lately). It does tend to make a bit of a flapping sound going Highway/Interstate Speeds (70+ mph)... it is a fabric cover, you can't expect anything less.

I would DEFINITELY recommend this product and company to anyone looking for a quality cover.
Luggage was dry after hours of hard rain!
December 28, 2015
Bought this cover for a road trip. The instructions were straightforward-no problems with the install. We went through a car wash and some water was in the bed afterwards. It was empty at the time, but I was a little concerned. I should mention that we didn't use any of the sealing foam; we just clamped on the cover. Well, we loaded the truck and drove 8 hours from TX to KS. It rained hard the ENTIRE TIME: severe, flood warning kind of rain. When we unloaded, EVERYTHING was dry in the bed: luggage, toys, and some cardboard boxes. I was shocked (pleasantly)! I highly recommend this product.

Great cover. I've seen a lot of Tonno covers on other trucks in my area and I think that this one looks as good or better than some of the ones that are much more expensive. The installation is super easy. I've had the cover on and off multiple times and it's very easy to remove and put back on. I've also driven through some decent rain with no leaks. On the highway I've been up to a little over 70mph and there is no noise from the cover. If you're looking for a nice affordable cover, I think that this is a good one.
Fantastic Cover!
August 15, 2014
I've wanted a cover on the bed of my F-150 Lariat for quite some time, and have kicked myself for not getting one installed at the dealership when I bought my truck new here a couple years back. In hindsight, it was better that I waited.

I have received so many compliments on this cover that I've lost count. People were in awe when I showed them how it worked (folding vs rolling). All asked where I purchased it, and were even more surprised when I told them the price. It was definitely a great addition to my truck and I have no regrets on this purchase.

Installation really is as easy as they say. As I tend to get slightly OCD installing anything, it took a bit longer than directions advertised when I centered it over the bed. There is no additional hardware to install, and there are no tensioners requiring constant adjustments all year long like those found on roll-up covers.

Folding it up is a breeze....and speaking of breezes....be very careful if you fold this up and strong winds are present. A 30mph gust nearly pulled the tail end of the cover right out of my hands when I was opening it, and had I not grabbed it quick enough, I'm sure the results would have been upsetting to me at the very least.

Even when folded up and locked into place, I've had plenty of room to store items in the bed. I admit, I was hesitant about losing storage space since this cover folds up, but it hasn't been a problem yet. I've removed it completely only once to get an ATV loaded up and tied down. The cover is so lightweight that I just placed it in the back seat and then remounted it later.

The bed has remained dry after runs through the auto car wash, and several nasty rainstorms. The cover performs exactly as it should keeping cargo dry, and unlike other covers, there is no "flapping noise" heard while driving down the interstate or highway.

I am BEYOND thrilled with the increased fuel economy after installing the cover. There has been a drastic increase in my MPG's since then, and I suspect it won't be much longer until the cover has paid for itself. I do a large amount of commuting, and not having to stop for gas every week is refreshing to say the least.

TonnoPro included a "Goodie Bag" with the cover. A bottle of cleaner/protectant, pair of gloves and an LED light to mount in the bed. The light (albeit not an extremely powerful one), does work well enough to illuminate the bed when the cover is closed. As I said it's not "spotlight bright", just enough to help guide your eyes if you're in search of something I the dark.

I would encourage anyone interested in making this purchase,to verify the cover model number for your truck at TonnoPro's website before purchasing, to ensure you receive the correct size. I double checked twice (There goes that pesky OCD again!), for peace of mind, as they have several covers and model numbers vary on the length of your bed and other truck options.

I may upgrade to TonnoPro's hard top folding cover in time, but for now, this one is working perfectly.

If you're looking for a cost-effective cover that gets the job done and looks great, look no further.

For the price, this cover works. I have had mine on for three months and have had no issues. I drove from California to Georgia in 5 days in torrential thunderstorms and through tornado warnings with minimal water entering the bed (none of my belongings got wet). Either the folks complaining about it's water tightness couldn't figure out how to install it, bought the wrong size, or they expect perfection. Regardless, my stuff stayed dry and made it across the country intact. It's not the highest quality out there, but it gets the job done and you can't beat the price. It folds up easily for bed access and removes just as easy for full bed usage.

A great cover, for 20 months...!
February 8, 2016
I was very happy with my cover. It has performed well over the time I had it. But now, about 20 months after first usage, I see the stitches are failing in multiple places. It's not just where the fold happens, though that is worse. Any ideas on repair or is this a sign that it is end of life at 2 years of age?
Very reasonable for the price! And super fast shipping!
September 18, 2014
I was hesitant to purchase this product online at first since i would have liked to see it in person. It's the most expensive product I've purchased on amazon so far. But I am glad I did! It was at least $100 cheaper than what I would have spent if I went to a truck store here at home...and all the stores I checked out at home would have taken 2-3 weeks to receive this. This cover took only 5 days from date of purchase to come all the way to hawaii! That's faster than any DVD that I've ordered on amazon!
The truck bed cover itself is very reasonable for the price, easy to install too. It looks slick on my new 2014 toyota sport 4door short bed model. There was some confusion, however, since there were no instructions on where to place the foam rubber strips. We had to look up on the other people's reviews on here for instructions on where to put them. Also, the vinyl is very tight. The manufacturer could have added a little more material because it was sort of a challenge extending the cover all the way down to close. With that said, it's still a very good buy. It serves the purpose I bought it for which is to protect my belongings from rain, and I'm very satisfied.

AFTER AWHILE THE RUBBER SEALS CAME OFF
Mounting hardware is questionable.
October 14, 2016
Looks good, but I question the quality of the securing hardware. I've had this on the truck for a couple weeks now, done some highway driving, and I keep an eye on the tightness of the wingnuts that secure the cover to the truck. But, I figure since it has a lifetime warranty if it breaks, they'll take care of things. Time will only tell.
OK
October 12, 2015
I bought this cover for my 2014 F-150 and have had it now for almost 4 months.

The good news:

My highway gas mileage went UP!

It keeps the water out. I have been through many storms with the cover on my truck and as long as it is on right, it keeps the bed dry.

It comes completely put together. I had a small issue because of the year and make of my truck, but that may not be the case for you.

The cover is easy to get on and off once you get used to it. The initial set up did take a little time though. See below for further explanation.

The bad news:
When you crank down the clamps on the cover, it pulls the support bars down with them. There are 4 clamps, which are attached to the front and rear support bars (2 front, 2 rear). No problem there. However, when you get them good and tight, they pull the support bars down, which loosens the tension on the vinyl cover. This has caused water to pool in the front left and rear corners. It doesn't cause it to leak or anything, it just doesn't look good. After the water goes away there is always residual dirt stuck there.

Also, the 2014 F-150 has two small pieces cut out of the bed rails, which are hidden under the bed rail cover from the factory. I didn't know about this until I tried to install this cover. Those to pieces of cutout metal were exactly where the front two clamps for this cover are located. So, when I tightened the cover down, the hard plastic bed rail cover (from the Ford factory) bent. I called Tonno Pro customer support and left a message. They called me back the same day and said that I could unscrew the front support bar and slide them forward and re-screw them in place. They told me that it would not void my warranty, so I moved them. The cover fits securely on my bed, but I'm not sure if moving the bars is causing the water to pool now.

All-in-all, it is a good cover for the money. However, I have thought about getting another cover from a different manufacturer.
Good for what it is.
September 9, 2015
Fits fine. Took two people-but only cause I wanted someone to make sure it was lined up well before tightening down. I like it, but it doesn't sit as flat as I thought it might. Not noisy on my f150 and I have seen enough rain to say that most water stays out during the rain. I have noticed some gets in, but not enough to worry me. I bought this primarily to keep things out of the elements, but still have easy access to the bed for larger hauls.
Good enough for the price Pros/Cons
February 8, 2014
Pro's
Very easy to install and can be done with one person
Comes with a trial cleaner and tailgate seal
Can be flipped up in seconds

Con's
As with Most, can only be flipped uncovering 2/3 of the bed
The front corners do not seal properly, had to use some of the tailgate seal to get a complete seal at front corners
When flipping up, need to watch the clamps so that they do not stap cover, takes an additional second to run around to the otherside to make sure the clampls lay flat.

Appearance
The cover looks like a $300 cover nothing more, will get a better quality look and fit with a more expensive cover

it doesn't quite fit a tacoma. I had to buy some extra seal from home depot for the forward rail and tail gate. it also bend a bit at the aft end. i believe its because of the material they used is not strong enough to hold it down flush that far from where it latches to the rail bracket. You get what you pay for. Its the cheapest on the market money wise and condition wise.

Kind of a hassle... Not necessarily failure of the product... just not what I had hoped for....
Flapping straps are VERY annoying
January 15, 2016
Good cover, but the buckles flap and bang off cab when driving, which drives us crazy. Needs to have a latch or other fastener. Not as tight as I expected, as you can see the fabric wrinkling at 60 mph and higher. Works decent for the money.

UPDATE: the cover recently broke. The clamps don't work well with the Ford F150 plastic cover that goes over the edge of the bed, and eventually loosen up. My wife was driving the truck for about a week, and probably didn't notice that a clamp or clamps had come loose, so while driving the cover folded up and bent the frame. The cover did increase the fuel mileage though by at least 1-MPG, and maybe a bit more in TX at 80-MPH speeds.
Could use a more snug fit.
October 15, 2015
Easy to install however having trouble getting to lay flat on bed of 2010 F150, all 4 corners are raised and not flush with truck bed rails. If they tighten further it doesn't allow the tailgate to close. Overall it keeps everything dry and does what I was hoping to accomplish at an inexpensive price.

They cut corners in wrong places updated on July 9,2013
June 29, 2013
Just installed on Tacoma with cargo rails. I'm more than mechanically inclined, so had no problem with instructions and installation as describedVery disappointed, especially after seeing what I feared, which is clamps not holding well, leaving potential for losing cover on highway. I pulled over and reset and tightened, and am afraid to drive over 40 mph with this on until I get some further info from mfr. This is poorly designed and could be improved with some very minor revisions. And it should be improved pronto, before they cause an accident.First off, there are just four clamps. There should be six at least, especially considering what they're passing off as clamps. The two up front sit about a foot from front edge of bed. The attach from the mid rail on the front panel. That is first problem. If you've ever had something tied on a rack, you know what happens if air gets under front edge that's not secure. It will rip and fold it right back. So they need clamps on front of bed as well, to hold this vulnerable edge down tight. There is also about a half inch opening on front edge, no matter how much you loosen or tighten the "clamps". So air and water will be getting in there. And this invites added air pressure in bed and stress on cover. There should be a taller gasket. Instead, they go with the undersized compression gasket that works just on the sides. Just because it works on sides doesn't make it suitable for front and tailgate. With cargo management rails that I have, they supply an aluminum extension that slides in rail and attaches with single tiny set screw. There should be a second 2 cent screw at the very least. Cost vs safety issue here. But now you have two mechanical connections on a moving vehicle, each reliant on the other to hold fast. The front "clamps" are plastic/nylon/abs knobs riding on maybe a 3/16" threaded, flexing metal shaft which clamps another aluminum piece against extension. This piece has maybe a 3/16" high 90 degree flange facing up that mates inside the opposite flange facing down on aluminum extension. Push down on the cover i.e wind, heavy rain, and the gasket compresses and it slips right off. There should be at least a notch or keyhole for one to slide into the other as opposed to just resting against and longer flanges to allow for the unavoidable vertical movement. Another improvement and safety/quality issue that costs next to nothing to resolve. The rear clamps are an attempt at making a cam. But the same problem here and worse. They are just cheaply made and now resorting to plastic flange against aluminum extension. I would guess cheap overseas production. There is no way to tighten them just right and feel safe. They never actually lock like a cam should. If they did, it would be too tight and the tension would cause the connection to fail.Instructions say to be careful not to over-tighten clamps. I have found no happy medium. The clamps are cheap and inadequate, and compromise the quality and the safety of this product. There is also a good 1/2" gap where cover meets tailgate. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a cover. Not weather tight and anyone can peek in. No reason there's not a deeper seal here as well. But again, they choose to use the same gasket as the sides, where it at least has the benefit of the "clamps" to seal it tightI hope the company reads this and takes the appropriate action. They almost have a good product. But for $269.00, I don't want to kill someone on the highway.UpdateThe day after writing first review, I fine tuned placement to help close gap some at tailgate and adjusted locations of "clamps." I figured I'd give it some more time and hoped for the best.We just got home from a shore trip. It was about 150 miles round trip. When we were about 5 miles from home on highway when I noticed in my passenger side mirror my worst fears occurring. The front of the cover had lifted up and was trying to blow back. My wife pushed it down through sliding window and was able to hold it down as I crawled home. This company REALLY needs to at least add a couple of their .25 cent clamp specials to the front to reduce risk of causing serious accident.

My father has a Tonno cover which is why I went with this product to begin with. As with many things, products change over time. While my fathers and other versions i have seen have spring loaded hold downs this product is now relying on what i would consider a cheaper alternative - threaded rod and plastic only. I received a bunch of "free" stuff like gloves and some stickers that i don't need.....id much rather just have the better hold downs.

On top of that the instructions for installation were WRONG. They contradict each other in text vs photo in at least 2 ways and show you the wrong way to fasten this cover. A separate issue which i guess i will have to advise them about directly.

I'll live with it while it lasts but, certainly wouldn't buy this again.

You get what you pay for
November 10, 2015
The saying you get what you pay for is true for this cover. I had a Extang Trifecta on a Nissan Frontier for 6 years and was a great cover. But I decided for the money to buy this cover. When I first received it my first thought was it looked and felt cheap. But I figured I would give it a chance, should have just returned it then. The fit for the F-150 is awful, and the hold downs are very cheap and I have had to tighten down the cover several times in the last month. So I am selling it and buying a Extang.
Inexpensive but unsafe
July 6, 2015
This cover installed easily and we were happy with it for almost a year. As stated in other reviews, it did have a bumpy look, but it wasn't too bad. Then yesterday, driving on the interstate we heard a loud whoosh and it was gone off into the air and way off into a farmers field. We first thought that we had installed it wrong, but the plastic clips had detached from the cover. Scary experience and we will not be buying something with plastic clips again.

STAY AWAY!!
March 31, 2015
Was initially excited when I got this........but that was short lived. First I would like to start with the fact that I was hoping that this would be just as good as the extang trifecta that my father has on his truck but for a better price. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. This cover does not come close to the quality of extang and the hype of some reviews and descriptions from some people.

I have 2009 Toyota Tacoma crew cab.

Pros:............I have amazon prime. Free returns and worry free shipping.

Cons: On the front corners there is about a half inch gap where you can see light coming through. And where light can get through so can rain and water. No matter how tight you get the front clamps the corners do not touch.

Speaking of the clamps no matter how tight you get the clamps they can still be moved from front to back because of the "stow feature". This allows the cover to come loose.

The metal frame seems strong until you realize that the "metal" cross bars are connected to the outside frame with about 2 inches of PLASTIC!!

Do yourself a favor and get something else. Not worth wasting your time on.

Doesn't seal. Where it mounts to the truck bed there are factory cut outs in the bed keeping it from being able to pull down tight to the rail.
I had one previously on my 2006 Ford and it was great for 2 years
October 8, 2015
I have had this on my truck now for 8 months. I had one previously on my 2006 Ford and it was great for 2 years. This one however is different. The lateral bars under the canopy that have the sliding connectors for attaching to the bed are bowing considerably down under the tension required to attach. I keep tightening them and they bow more. They are getting so loose I'm afraid it's going to blow off in traffic. I will try to stiffen them somehow. The bar should be stiffer (steel or metal?) instead of flimsy plastic.
Returned
April 26, 2013
The hold down clamps do not fit properly under the rail for the 2013 Ford F-150's. It bends up the rail piece and unless you put added metal backing, it just doesn't set right.
