It helps greatly with irritated skin areas and makes me feel really clean after I use it. Great for areas that are affected by skin on skin contact, such as thighs or under the breasts or armpits. I found the mint to not be overpowering at all, and as a plus it leaves me feeling refreshed after each use. Smells great...wish the bottle were larger.. June 16, 2017 Smells great! Put a dab on a scrubbie and wash...the only negative is that the bottle seems a bit small and not sure how long this will last. I also use Tea Tree bar soap so I think I will alternate products. Update -- I now have purchased four bottles of this and do not want to run out. All other soaps seem useless now! Gets rid of that itchy sweaty feeling after working out, is not hard on my skin and feels good Gets rid of fungus. Great Body Wash for the price March 17, 2017 Great Body Wash for the price. Natural, not tested on animals. Cannot attest to the anti-fungal properties. Ringworm June 1, 2016 I work in an animal shelter and come in contact with ringworm regularly. This last time I had it I could not get rid of it. It was everywhere from my shoulders to my feet, so needless to say applying cream to every spot twice a day for 2 weeks was a huge pain. So I started just using it like lotion, but I would always miss a spot because after religiously using that stupid cream it would be back with vengence in a week. So I got an antifungal pill from my doctor, that did literally nothing. So I spoke with co-workers and they said to use bleach so I did that a couple of times out of total desperation. Again I would miss a spot and it would be back. I had almost come to terms with living with this the rest of my life when I thought I would give this a try. So I showered morning and night for several days then just used it once a day for another week and it's gone. I'm still amazed. I could not be happier with this product. And a little goes a long way! I can't recommend this enough. So Good...So Good. January 6, 2016 I was running out of body wash. Just to give you an idea of how important having the right soap is for me, I'll give you a bit of background. My skin is extremely sensitive. I have to use special detergent and I'm not a fan of many soaps. Dove makes me itch. Aveeno is tolerable...the only soap that does work for me is Sanex, or so I thought. I normally find Sanex and at the time, when I had lived in France, Sanex was perfect. I come back here, and I find that Sanex is too strong on my skin. It became dry and flaky. I figured this had to do with the water is like in NYC. So I've stopped ordering it. I am currently suffering through my Dr. Wood's soap. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. It's so drying and I feel that I haven't cleaned my skin. Dryness again hits me. Now I had nothing but Aveeno, but as I said, Aveeno is no panacea---oh and I shy away from any and all scented products. Lastly, I suffer from a mild case of breakouts fro time to time. Normally this happens with abrupt weather changes. Changing from winter to summer is one. Or in the case of NYC, when it goes from roughly 60 degree weather to 30 in a matter of two days. And stays at 30 degrees. My skin was on fire. I needed something. I know that Tea Tree oil is soothing for skin inflammation, plus I have acne due to the changes, and my skin is super super dry, so the coconut oil will come through to help with that. I used it for the first time today. Wow, wow, wow. I'm being honest. I was so surprised that while I was in the shower I said to myself, "I need to go on amazon today to review this. S***." Yeah, it's that good. The smell was great, nothing strong, but very soothing and mellow. Yes, it was scented and no problems. The lather is ridiculous, a little goes a long way. The lather in Dr. Wood's/Dr. Bronner's/Aveeno on my loofah gloves is never enough it sees. I need a bit more. But here, the lather is so rich it's crazy. Very moisturizing. I felt the softness and even post drying, I felt soft. It's truly incredible. I'm glad I bought two bottles, on the off chance I hate it, I can pawn them off to my mum or sister who use any soap. But I'm not giving up my two bottles and already have two more in my cart for the future. UPDATE: So it's been over a month since I've bought this body wash. I still love it and I have so much more positive things to say about it. I had two skin issues that were driving me up the wall. As a note, I am overweight and most of it is in my thigh area. So when I wear jeans or walking, my thighs brush together. I had noted for years that the skin between my legs was significantly darker than the outer area of my body. I would scrub, and scrub, and scrub, and scrub on a daily basis. I'd different solutions, I thought I needed lightening cream. I became discouraged because losing weight for me is an uphill battle. I thought it was a done deal I would be stuck with these super dark inner thighs. After one month of using this, actually over a month. The skin has officially lightened enough to match my skin all around. I had some abscesses on my legs (don't ask) I have no clue how that happened. In any event, they left some scaring on my calve area. This soap has been clearing that up and I fully expect that in another month and a half it will be cleared up at the rate it's lightening. The second issue I had was the skin around my neck becoming dark and leathery, it was also itchy as hell. I thought I had some weird skin condition and was terrified of what could be happening. I was like it could be my scarf, but I had this scarf for years without an issue. I thought it was because I used perfume (I had never used it before because I could get itchy at times and I would have that condition on my skin. However, on other parts of my body nothing itched and I had only sprayed it on my neck once. Well after I stopped using the scarf and I only used this product, the skin on my neck healed. No more leathery skin, no more itching, and no more dark spot. Equal coloring all around. The third ailment, so many it's ridiculous, was my armpit. Wow, that was not only dark, the skin that folds when the arm touches the skin of the chest. Well the dark spot would spread all around. I know people said that you have those dark spots because of genetics, you could have it because your skin isn't clean enough. I would scrub to oblivion and nothing would happen. I figured it was genetics. Nope, I just didn't have the right body wash to meet my needs. All dark spots gone and again my skin matched the rest of my body. I do have sensitive skin and this has surpassed all my expectations on excellence and protection. It doesn't have a strong smell or odor, I actually like the smell, it's tea tree oil after all. It still has a great lather. It bottle is still full and looks like it's not going anywhere. it is ridiculously moisturizing. The healing properties are top notch. July 1, 2016 I hope I'm not premature with my praise for this product, but I'm going to enter my praise for it based on this summer's experience, so far. I listen to The People's Pharmacy on the radio (they also have a podcast and online site) and heard a program about "under-breast rash." Many women (and probably some men, too) suffer from this problem and it is not often discussed. Like many who experience the problem, I have tried many, many things and my first inclination is always to go for the most natural methods before considering anything else. However, this "under-breast" situation is a persistent problem for many women. It can become extremely uncomfortable at best and quite painful, even dangerous for infection, etc., at worst. Like a baby's diaper rash, it is related to moisture, body chemistry, warmth, organisms, etc. Many women have tried everything from cornstarch to talc to brand-name moisture absorbent products to zinc oxide to paper towels to coconut oil - and probably lots more. I don't even remember now how I happened upon THIS product here on Amazon but probably it was one of those "recommended for you" things related to some other purchase. I decided to give it a try. This has been a great discovery and so I wanted to share with anyone who suffers from these persistent, problematical kinds of skin issues, such as the "under-breast rash," this product has worked very well for one customer so far. I hope it will continue to be effective because, so far, it is a big blessing in this one customer's summertime life! The smell is completely amazing, very aromatic but not overly strong and the plus side... it is antifungal and antibacterial. Another pro is you really only need to use a small drop of this for a super thick lather!!! I gave this product 4 stars only because I was expecting a bigger bottle for the price!! I misjudged the photo thinking it was a bigger bottle expecially at this price. Which I wish it were because I will probrably go thru this quickly. Refreshing Body Wash August 26, 2017 Wow! So refreshing and clean. My skin can breath again. Fresh and clean. My skin felt awake and rejuvenated. Smells great. I also tried it in my hair and it feels fab. A keeper for every day use. This is a wonderful product to run on tired feet or heel spurs. It had three oils to help melt the pain away. It's OK June 29, 2016 While the cream is nice smelling and not greasy, it doesn't seem to work very fast, so don't expect to get any relief right away. I found it takes at least a week for the cream to make a difference. But I hung in there and kept using it and eventually I noticed the areas that I treated started to feel better and in about week the inflammation was subsiding as was the itching and the little bumps. One Star Reviews: | 4% Weak body wash August 19, 2017 This product had really good reviews so I was really disappointed and surprised by my experience with using this product. I find the body wash to be very weak. It does not suds well nor does it leave a clean and fresh feeling after washing. You have to use a lot more of this product when bathing as opposed to other premium body washes. November 9, 2016 They must have reformulated it. I first ordered this product in February of 2016 and absolutely loved the effects for my skin. It helped with itching, cleared up my occasional back and body breakouts, felt amazing and cooling after particularly sweaty days, and did not contain sulfates. I am attaching photos of my original bottle and the one I received today. The packaging looks great, the redesign is beautiful, but you may note a major difference that's not easy to detect without a side-by-side comparison. The ingredients list is a lot longer on the new bottle, and it lists Sodium Laureth Sulfate as the main ingredient after water. Unfortunately, I do not use sulfates because in the past they have triggered skin issues for me. I have no way of knowing if the company recently added sulfates, or if the original product contains them and they were not disclosed on the label, but since the ingredients lists are SO different, I would guess that it's just a new formulation. Not for me. I will be sending back. | 4% Doesn't work! June 22, 2014 I've tried all sorts of fungal infection remedies and I'm getting fairly desperate, so I tried this one as it claims to protect the skin better than Lotrimin or Monistat. However, this one has just the same effect - it produces sores, it's excruciatingly painful and it makes my skin peel. More money down the drain. A quick internet search for this product shows that it's made by a pair of get-rich-quick tax-evading jailbirds in Ohio - just proves that I should do my research before I spend my money. |
