I bought two of these for our house. One is for my wife's craft room and one for my shop. Both work very well. We have not had any connectivity issues. I have an iPhone 7 and she has the 7 plus.I do have to turn the volume up a little more than before when I was just using a headphone jack, but it is not an issue, just something odd. I'm using the headphone jack plugged into computer speakers. Her's uses the RCA cables plugged into a receiver. Both ways require the volume to turn up a bit. But the sound is good and neither of us has had connectivity issues. My phone sits about 10 feet away from this receiver in the shop. Wife's phone is about 5 feet away.This is quick, easy way to add bluetooth to any system.

I initially bought one for my '08 BMW 335i which only had Bluetooth for just the telephone. So I bought this and it neatly installed in the center console where a power plug and Aux-in are conveniently available. It works great. Sounds good, nice highs and lows. Connects immediately without having to manually connect. (I use a Samsung Android phone. Apple should work fine too). If you're also putting it in a BMW, I'd recommend using the power plug that's in your console for power instead of the USB port. The USB port seems to be constantly powered, and this Bluetooth receiver will be a small continuous load on your battery if you park for a long time. The power plug is switched with the ignition. This Bluetooth receiver comes with a 120V to USB plug, so you can use it at home too. I bought a second one to add Bluetooth capability to my home stereo. I like it there too. Decent distance reception from my device as I walk around the living room and kitchen. For the price, I recommend this item for its reliable instant connection, versatility, and sound quality.

I'm happy with this. It does its job unobtrusively for a good price. I have several of these in different rooms of my house. They all seem to work fine. Every once an a while, one of them will get "stuck" and I need to unplug it to reset things, but that's happened only rarely. I especially like that it doesn't automatically connect to any paired device within range. Instead, if someone with a phone wants to use it, they can connect explicitly. That's much less annoying than some other devices I own, which will automatically connect to a preferred device. The HomeSpot is much easier to use in a house with multiple people and multiple devices.

I use this with an Echo Dot. "Alexa connect to Bluetooth" the "alexa play pandora". Then I get music through the entire house. When i am done "Axela disconnect bluetooth" and the dot is back to normal. This has been very useful, as I didn't want alexa whole-house all the time, so this solved an issue for me.

I think the product is awesome. I have a circa early 70's vintage receiver that I have connected to my vintage turntable and wanted to enable my digital tunes from my iPhone via Bluetooth. Connected the rca end to the receiver aux plugged the power into the back of the receiver and into the Bluetooth device. My iPhone found it immediately and I was up and running in seconds.I have had no problems connecting to Bluetooth etc. I noticed sometimes it seems to skip or gets interrupted slightly when I get a txt or I'm typing on my phone. You do need to have your phone in the line of sight to the Bluetooth device though or it cuts out a bit. . Otherwise good stuff No longer have to get off the sofa to change songs or volume. Nice.

Just great! I wanted a replacement for my AUX cable connected to my home stereo receiver. I play music from my iPhone 6s daily and wanted a wireless option.- Sounds great! Came across this when our Sirius XM internet tabletop radio finally died after 6 years. I needed something that work work with our wifi connection, but play through our old, existing stereo speakers that we have hooked up to an stereo from the 90's. We use this at a business, where we use an ipad as our register system. Just downloaded the Sirius app on the ipad, and easily connected the ipad and this receiver via bluetooth. Hooks right up the audio jacks on the stereo system. It was literally just plug & play. Doesn't get any easier. The sound is crystal clear, and sounds so much better than the old tabletop internet radio. It even sounds better than if we were playing old CD's on the receiver through the speakers. Can't beat it for the price!

I have a sound system for group exercise (Jazzercise). Many instructors use their iPhones to play their music lists. With the iPhone 7 having no headphone jack, there was a problem for some. Apple supplies an adapter that plugs into the charging port of the phone and then to the 3.5 MM auxiliary cord. However, it did not always work. This works beautifully. The only glitch is that we would like to put the phones on Airplane Mode to keep from having interruptions during class. Since you have to use Bluetooth, no can do. I would have given it 4 stars for that, but that is not really an overall function problem. Afterall, it is a Bluetooth device. For the price, this works just as expected. Sometimes I have to turn it off and on before it will connect. Otherwise, seamless streaming!

Paired with TaoTronics Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter without any problem. It takes a several seconds to initialize when power is applied. Audio tones sound when the unit is activated and again when pairing is established. Light weight. We have used it 24/7 for a couple of months with no problems. When power is applied it automatically repairs with the last source.

Best $20 I have spent in awhile.This device paired easily and instantly to my Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone, and the audio sounds great coming through my home stereo.Now, I can stream music to my home stereo as well as iHeart Radio (girlfriend lives in an area where I cannot get Rush Limbaugh on the radio).This item is a "no brainer" with respect to inexpensively upgrading your home stereo system to Bluetooth compatability.

AmazonBasics Bluetooth 4.0 Audio ReceiverI was a bit hesitant based on prior reviews however the price, along with the fact that I have thousands of dollars worth of "old" receivers that are outdated simply because they don't have Bluetooth capability, convinced me to take a chance. After all, Amazon has an excellent return policy - so why not? I am very glad that I took the chance!1) Apparently they have updated the new models because there is no "thump" on disconnect as described in previous reviews. On both connect as well as disconnect, there is a very pleasant multi-tone series of beeps. Not too loud and not of the frequency that makes you frown. Pleasant!2) Also, I experienced no problems whatsoever playing, pairing and switching between multiple devices. (4 in all). I paired each individual device (Apple, iPhone x 2 units and an iPad x 2 units), once the device was in the profile of each device, swapping between devices was as simple as turning off Bluetooth on the paired unit and within seconds, the multi-tone beeps are heard indicating an "un-pairing" of a device. Then go into the Bluetooth screen for the new device you want to connect to and look at the Bluetooth device list, select the Amazon Audio device, poke on "connect" and again within seconds, the multi-tone beeps confirm that it connected.As I've already mentioned, the unit works flawlessly! As a matter of fact, I am listening to the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers album over Amazon Prime as I type this and the album sounds like it always has...very very good! I have been listening to this album and the various remasters for the last 35 years and I know the music very well. I've heard it on the radio, in concert, on vinyl, on cassette, on MSFL vinyl and just about every way the album has been released and this Bluetooth stream from Amazon Prime is perfectly acceptable and enjoyable over my old school component stereo system.Sure, Bluetooth ain't audiophile quality...sure, I could look at the playback on a spectrum anaylizer and tell the difference...sure, I could look at the signal on an oscilloscope and tell the difference...sure, it don't sound like a $200 MFSL album or the $40 MFSL compact disc but it sounds every bit as good as over the air broadcast quality from an FM radio station and that is good enough for me.It's a good little unit and the $20 price tag is perfect for what I want it to be...decent, enjoyable sound just as good as FM broadcast sounds from a power station. If I want to hear Mick Taylor's pick hit the strings, I'll break out the $200 vinyl and crank up the volume; If I just want to conveniently listen to my favorite music without playing the big vinyl disc...this'll do the trick.If a reviewer is going to be critical of a $20 device, and compare it to an audiophile quality sound...well, that is the kind of reviewer that would complain if it were raining $100 bills.Bottom line - get it if you have reasonable expectations. if you want audiophile quality, you're going to have to pony up a tad more than $20 and Bluetooth will not do the job anyway.

It's not terrible, certainly not bad enough to bother with, and it does nothing to change this Bluetooth receiver's supremacy, but it's there--however slight. I have an incredibly sensitive system, though; it's quite likely no one else will ever notice.

Great speaker wire. There are those who must have cables suitably sized, say, able to supply enough current to start a Caterpillar 580-B, but for my needs, 16-gauge works just fine, thank you. Don't need that silly, gold-plated frivolousness, as I don't have 'golden-ears'. I never painted my CD's with a green Marks-a-Lot (yes, people actually did that), put bricks on my SAE amplifier (you know, to dampen physical resonance...REALLY?) or find the need to spend stratospheric levels of cash for some cartridge hand-wound by some Tibetan monk. But hey, that sort of money buys a lot of prayer-wheels...I've even used old 'zip-cord' as a stand in for the 'properly-labelled' stuff, but I like not to have to solder stray runs of speaker wire together to make a longer run. Besides, for the money, this value cannot be beat (beaten, for all you 'grammar-nazi's out there). I'm happy: they supply oodles of current from my modestly powered Onkyo receiver (old-school, stereo, even, complete with phono inputs) and my 30+year old speakers. I'll hazard a guess you'll be happy with this item. Fear not, and put your starting-cables away...

Very good basic speaker wire. Why pay the high price for other wire when this will do everything you need it to do? The shielding is suitable and protects well against interference. The wire is labeled well which provides an easy method for identifying the positive and negative wires. Overall, I think this is a great buy any moderate-level sound system. Those who wish to have completely flawless sound applications may wish to purchase some heavier gauge wire with thicker insulation, but this works well for me!

While I'm sure there are audiophiles who'll quibble, I think this stuff is awesome. It's got enough (but not too much) insulation to make me feel comfortable pulling it through walls. I got this to run through the wall and outside to connect some speakers to the Sony 100w amp we use with our AppleTV so we can play music out on the porch. The wire's nice and thick, easy to work with, and the spool's not ridiculously large. Other than that, the price is right.

It's amazing what people are saying! This is your normal run of the mill speaker wire! It works great. You wouldn't use it for a super crazy high output amp, you would buy a thicker gauge. For your home stereo and about 99% of the other use cases, this wire is just fine.There is a previous review that shows the mathematics behind it.

Easy to use. There is a white stripe on one side that is clearly visible to verify polarity. The insulation is thick enough to stand up to people walking on it if it's under a carpet but easy to strip. Unlike some other wire I've used, I didn't have to squeeze the heck out of the pliers and end up cutting right through the wire when trying to strip off insulation.My speakers and amplifiers all have quick-connect fittings, and it is very easy to get the wire into the little hole in the clamp. This wire is about 4 times as thick as the wire my components came with, and it really sounds fantastic!! I would definitely recommend this gauge wire for audio.

I'm a home audio enthusiast, not a recording studio engineer. I re-wired outdoor speakers (wire running through conduit) and used this product with very good results. My longest run is about 25'. Yes, it is copper clad aluminum, but I hesitate to spend top dollar for the more pure copper product. I know that the sound travels on the outside surface of the conductors, and this is why speaker wire is stranded and not solid core. The Amazon Basics 16-ga speaker wire is copper cladding on aluminum, which suits my purpose very well. It has a white tracer in one conductor, speeding up connections and improving accuracy. The insulation is easily removed with wire strippers. It pulls through flexible conduit using a fishing tape without undue headache.

Excellent build quality, quick shipping. Some delay from the USPS, but I can't blame Amazon or iXCC for that.I have a couple of vintage stereo receivers which I wanted to use to play audio from my phone. Since the output from the headphone jack on a smart phone or computer is pretty much the same as the Line Out signal from a tape deck or CD player, this cable worked exactly as planned. On one receiver I used the AUX port,. The other didn't have AUX, so I used the Tape Playback port. In both cases it worked flawlessly. Very little if any distortion. Note that with all the devices I tried it with (Samsung Galaxy 5 and a couple of different models of older iPods) I had to turn the volume all the way up in order to match the volume of the other components in the stereo system.I should also point out that this probably won't work plugged into the PHONO jack on a typical stereo receiver. Phonograph cartridge levels are typically much lower than line levels, and stereo receivers use an in-built pre-amp to convert the signal to the line level needed by the amplifier. Plugging a line-level device such as a phone or computer headphone jack into a Phono input will overdrive the pre-amp, causing distortion.

The cable is well built. I use this with the iPhone 8+ with a lightning port adapter and 2015 Macbook Pro. The sound quality is superb. The gold plated connectors are excellent in eliminating static sound. The cord is almost tangle free. If you want sound quality. Buy this. I typically would have zero interest in writing a review of an inexpensive audio cable such as this. However, after receiving it, looking it over and putting it into use, I'm extremely surprised by the level of quality that appears to be designed into this product. The RCA ends grab very tightly to the outputs of my audio equipment, the cable ends seem to be terminated in a high quality fashion with their associated connectors and the cable itself feels like it's well made. While being an audiophile type of person, I have not put this cable into a critical listening situation to A / B it to other cables that I am using. But, for an inexpensive cable to connect a mobile device to a reasonable stereo system, I'm very pleased with this product.

I purchased this item to hook up my Echo DOT to my A/V Receiver. I could have gotten one cheaper and maybe saved myself a dollar or two, but what's an extra dollar or two to get THE BEST patch cable one can purchase. These are gold plated and of the highest quality. I've been using them for the last two weeks to listen to music thru my Echo DOT or thru the MP3 player on my phone. It has worked flawlessly for both and I can't think of anything negative TO say. Great price, fast shipping, and top-of-the-line quality.

I very seldom write reviews on my purchases, but this product motivated me to make an exception. Being a long-time audiophile that has long been dissatisfied with the build quality of most commercial audio interconnects, I have ended up building most of my own high-performance interconnects, using high-end components (cable, connectors, solder, etc.) and fabrication materials and techniques learned from many decades of involvement in the design and fabrication of advanced R&D instrumentation, as well as modifying and building my own audio equipment. Only very infrequently do I encounter an interconnect that I don't find some aspect of its design or construction that I believed could benefit from my "tweaking". This cable is one example of an exception to that rule. Component and build quality are both excellent and impeccable, respectively, and include nice functional enhancements such as the solid channel identification bands on the RCA plugs. Performance wise, it's sonically neutral, utterly quiet, and free of any noise or intermittent connectivity. In short, there was literally nothing about this interconnect/adapter that I would change, and for me, that's saying a great deal.

Brand new gaming system. Onkyo receiver135 watt per channel 5.1 surround sound. Went to Display port from HDMI to get 60htz refresh on my monitor. So I lost my sound. Went from a cheap Insignia set to these. MAJOR Difference. Incredible construction fit and finish. EASILY worth the money. Serious difference in sound quality. 5 STARS Across the board!

I have a car with an AUX input but not Bluetooth for music. Using this to connect phone to AUX input on car with Bluetooth. Connectivity is pretty good, I can walk out of the car for 10-20 feet and music still plays. The volume level is also good so I don't need to crank my stereo up, and sound is clean (no hiss).Have owned unit for a year and a half and just started using it, hope durability will be good. Unit will be power cycled a lot as it is powered off a USB charger from a car 12V plug. Plus unit will be heat cycled extensively (100+ F in summer and freezing temps in winter).

Overall, very satisfied. Needed ability to play music outdoors with my in-door non-Bluetooth stereo via IPhone (I have outdoor speakers). I used to just use aux in cord and leave phone inside but then you can't adjust volume or music selection easily. I did buy a longer RCA cable than supplied so that I could set the unit in window for better line of site transmittal. I experimented and connection was not an issue up to 75 feet or more from the receiver. However, even at 30 - 50 feet, music does cut out occasionally for a second or two - some days this doesn't happen at all, other days it does off and on. However, it reconnects again right away without any action on my part. If not for cutting out, I would give 5 star. For the price, I think it is a great deal. I did try it just through walls (vs line of site setting it in window) and it still works outside but distance is diminished to about 1/2 the specs.

I have had this product for about two weeks and I am satisfied with my purchase.It provides a pretty solid Bluetooth connection. Using this device doesn't hurt or improve the quality of the music. It is beyond easy to set up, within 2 minutes of having the box open I had this baby set up with my stereo. They worked almost seamlessly together. The receiver was actually smaller that I anticipated, which in this case was just another plus.Outside of all of that is where this product lost a star. There were 2 cons. First, having to keep the unit plugged in to a power source all the time, while this is a small nuisance its still a nuisance. In addition, I utilize this product the most in my car and for some reason it occasionally produces a very low pitched sound in the background of my music. Most the time its not noticeable when it does happen and for the price this is still a great product.

I picked this up to use with an older Bose Wave radio we have in our bedroom.the sound quality is great, there is no delay with playback, we like it. My one complaint is that while you can set it up with multiple phones/devices, you cannot have bother paired at the same time. If I want to switch from my phone to my wife's, we need to disconnect mine and then connect with hers. Other Bluetooth devices, mostly hands free car units and headphones have allowed for this and I wish this did as well. Obviously you couldn't have both playing back at the same time but it would be an improvement.

I find the effective range to be about 10-15 feet at the most, used with a variety of devices, with no obstructions (-1 star). If you are in good range, the sound quality is very good.Otherwise it's fantastic; it's the only thing we use with the living room stereo any more. I have no problems connecting to it; you can use NFC to connect trivially the first time (with a quick prompt on my Android devices to say "yes please pair it") and any other time.Edit: now adding a third one for my shop stereo. Beats the heck out of wired.

I got this device so that I could stream Amazon Prime Music from my Android phone to my Home Theater Audio Amplifier (https://youtu.be/okXPAUgoKLc).I have a chromecast but there is currently no support from Amazon to stream Amazon Prime music to it.The HomeSpot allows you to essentially turn any audio amplifier into Bluetooth enabled device. My15 year old Yamaha amplifier works perfectly, but being as old as it is, it doesn't have integrated Bluetooth. I connected this device to an open RCA input, paired it to my Android phone, and was able to stream music at will.The HomeSpot has a nice small form factor, comes with several cable connection options and includes a USB power adapter. TLDR: Sounds good but not great. Connects easily and reliably. Comes with RCA cable and power supply. I recommend.Have had this for a few months now and use it every day. I have a 1980s vintage Pioneer stereo receiver and some newer Pioneer bookshelf speakers in my bedroom. This system was in my living room but I bought a Yamaha surround receiver with built-in Bluetooth to replace it. I was curious to see how good music from my phone would sound through my new receiver and it sounded good enough that I decided to set up my older system in my bedroom with this Amazon branded Bluetooth receiver. It does not sound nearly as good. There's a fair amount of compression artifacting so highs and lows are lacking. As you would expect, high bitrate MP3 and FLAC files sound better than Spotify. The sound quality is roughly on par with a cassette tape player. Maybe a little better.That being said, it still sounds heads and shoulders better than any dedicated Bluetooth speaker or sound bar I've heard. And it's acceptable for the bedroom although I'd never use this in the living room where company might hear it.I connected the BT receiver power supply to the switched outlet on the stereo receiver so it powers up and down when I power up and down the stereo with the remote and it works flawlessly and connects immediately and reliably.I use it for wake up, relaxing for sleep, and sex music nearly every day and it works well in that role.Unlike most of the direct from China versions you find on eBay, this one comes with the mini phono to RCA cable needed to connect it to a stereo and a power supply.So, I recommend it if you want to re-purpose an older 2 channel receiver without spending a lot of money. I only spent twenty dollars and was able to add decent quality music to my bedroom and keep this old receiver from the landfill.

I purchased this unit to add Bluetooth audio capability to an existing car stereo that has an aux. input. I had a fantastic HTC device previously, but charging the battery at all times made me nervous. When that old HTC device got fried from excessive cabin/charging heat, I had to replace it. Countless BT devices are available on the market, but I read about many problems with sound quality or the speed of connecting. I wanted something that has no battery, only turns on when the stereo is playing, with decent sound quality and high reliability/simplicity in connecting. Based on positive feedback here on Amazon, I decided to try out this AmazonBasics Bluetooth receiver.First, I was a bit frustrated to find out that it runs on 5V DC. I had hoped it would run on 12V and NOT require a converter, but I did have to order a step-down converter (~$6) to run the BT receiver off the 12V in the car. Once the unit was turning on/off with the ignition, pairing with my LG G4 phone was effortless. The BT4 and A2DP also ensure that when I upgrade to new phone, there will be no issues with pairing. Every time the car starts up, I get a pleasant sound confirmation that the unit has powered up, and a sound confirmation that it has sync. with my phone. I can easily pair it with a different phone within seconds, which is GREAT when my family and I are road tripping. When the phone rings, I do have to use the phone’s speakerphone, otherwise I get feedback and the person calling can’t hear me.In all, the device is almost everything I wanted, but does everything I need, quite well. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit for home use, or special projects like my automotive installation.

This works great. Very easy to install and gets good signal from my phone. My only issue with this is that it can only pair one device. If you pair another one, the instructions say you have to re-pair the prior device before using it. I use it to listen to my podcasts while working in the garage. Doubt I'll pair another device until I get another phone.

I only gave it 4 stars because it cannot be used to power speakers directly. It must go through some type of amplifier. It does work very good though. I did have some difficulty getting my phone to "see" it. I did not give up and kept trying it. After about the 10th attempt my Galaxy S5 finally found it and it has worked flawlessly since.

Simple and easy to use. I would recommend this for people who don't use too many Bluetooth devices though since once it's paired with a device, it's very difficult to not have it auto-pair unless you just unplug it. It has an incredible range. Set it up on a second floor loft through a stereo receiver and could get it to work with an iPhone connected that was downstairs over 30 feet away and with walls in between!

After only one year the receiver stopped pairing with both my I-pad and I-phone. None of the troubleshooting hints helped.The manual doesn't contain any warranty information or contact information so I am left with no options. I'm disappointed that amazon would put their name to something like this Also I have not found any way to contact Amazon directly to ask for some resolution to this problem. An update: after reading the problems encountered by "A_Long_Time_Amazonian" in the comments section I realized that if I simply removed the AmazonBasics from my bluetooth list of receivers on my I-pad and then re-pair it again it works perfectly. A bit of a hassle but all is good now.

This cable works fine but I have one criticism - and so only four stars.There is no marking on the cable to show which wire is which and that makes it harder to determine speaker polarity. That is, you want the wire connected to red on the amplifier to connect to red on the speaker, and black [or white] to black [or white]. Electric wire like this has ribbing along one side (the neutral one) so you can make sure your lamp is wired up safely. But with this speaker wire you have to follow it all-the-way-along-the-length-of-the-cable.I guess that's why it's "AmazonBasics". Add some ribbing and this would be much easier to work with. But once installed it works fine.

This is not real copper, but it does not claim to be. With that out of the way, this is actually pretty decent cable. It's very flexible and easy to work with. If you are fine with the limitations of copper-clad aluminum (because you're not running that long of a stretch, or you are over-sizing conductors to start with, or you just don't want to pay for 100% copper) then this is actually pretty nice to work with. The insulation is soft and flexible and the cord has a very easy to see black line for the negative conductor. If this were pure OFC copper, it would probably be one of my favorite brands.

I purchased this cable to help wire up my surround sound system in my basement.The cable works great and was cheaper than alternatives on Amazon, or cables coming from my previous regular seller Monoprice. I would certainly purchase the cable again as it works great and was easy to run. I am not audiophile but I didnt appear to lose any sound quality with this affordable cable versus more expensive options out there.Finally the packaging is simple and easy to open. Its the simple things sometimes that take a product from good to great. Being able to get to the product without needing a blow torch is in my mind a big plus!

Good speaker wire at a very good price. Sound quality and packaging is good. The price is super reasonable and I'd buy it again if I find myself needing speaker wire again.The reason I give it 4 Stars is because the markings to identify which wire is which is unusually VERY light. I was daisy chaining speakers together and needed to ensure that the correct wires were going to positive and negative. Both strands of wires are exactly the same but there is a faint white line down one of them. The white line is almost transparent and I need a flashlight to see it. Even with the light it was almost indiscernible. They should definitely look into marking one of the wires more prominently.

It's speaker wire. How can one write a glowing review on speaker wire? I will give it a try.This came will packaged and looked nice. The package designers did a superb job in designing the package. The wire is very smooth with a clearly marked negative wire. The insulation is nice and think and insulates very well. When solder is applied it takes it well and it appears the copper wire used in this is very high quality copper.The sound transmission is excellent unlike other copper wire that has noticeably reduced clarity in the high range.This wire is also much better than those spools of wire that are only 50 feet because this has 100 feet. That makes it twice as good as the 50 foot wire and 4 times better than the 25 foot spools.

I transfer cassettes and vinyl records to CD and I was having trouble grounding or shielding the hum from my amp that was audible on the recordings. I was looking for something to help eliminate or reduce that hum sound. I tried other ways that didn't work so I ordered this cable. It didn't totally eliminate the hum from the amp but it has reduced it a little to a more tolerable level. I am happy with the purchase.

Works well, I do experience a little buzzing but it may be more from the bar speaker (ILIVE) it is hooked up to vs. the cable. It is made very sturdy and the quality seems to be very good. Once I have a chance to try it with a different speaker if I can confirm it was the speaker vs. the cable I will revisit this review and change it to 5 stars!

I purchased this cable to go from my Oppo DAC to an older integrated stereo amp to use as a more powerful headphone amp. The cable is well-made and the male 3.5 cable is indeed very thin and would allow you to use through any phone case if that is what you were buying the cable for. Some have complained about the RCA ends being tight, I don't understand, they are supposed to be that way so they get an extremely tight and secure fit.

Worked perfectyl! It is pretty simple, the 3.5mm end is the standard size that fits headphone jacks everywhere. The other connection fits my older stereo XY connections. It is not complicated, and works exactly as plannde.

Pretty good. Secures it self to my AUX converter box in my car nicely. I had issues with my old RCA connector when connected to my Sandisk MP3 player in the car. If I twisted the jack around gently it would cut in and out between 2 and 4 speakers. So far I get a good connection with this through all 4 speakers continuously. It's not very bulky either. Pretty light and flexible. So it's a pretty good deal for a step up from your basic RCA cable IMO.

I bought this because there was another review here saying that this is about the only bluetooth receiver that will automatically power on and connect to the smartphone as soon as the car is powered on. Well, it works... 50% of the time for me. The other 50% I need to manually connect it from my phone. I don't think it's my phone problem, because in our other family car my phone connects 100% of the time to the factory installed Toyota bluetooth touchscreen system (as anyone buying a Toyota probably expects the bluetooth connection to work without a hassle 100% of the time). As far as this device goes, it's OK I guess, but I would rather not have to mess with my phone while I'm driving. To be completely fair in this review, I must say that once it is connected, the sound quality is very good.

Product was ok even though it fried about 10 months later. My issue was that it wouldn't automatically connect to my iPhone and i would have to go to iPhone bluetooth settings to connect it.Bought an Mpow Bluetooth Receiver, (Latest Bluetooth 4.1, A2DP) Wireless Bluetooth Audio Receiver Adapter with 3.5mm & RCA Cable for Home and Car Sound Systems ) as replacement and this one had a built in battery which was good. but i had to open my center console and push multifunction button to turn it on each time. This one would automatically connect to my iPhone though.Downside, it Fried just over a month later...i wish i had payed more attention and ordered my 5 series with bluetooth audio as well as BT telephone

Works well but the range is very limited I tested it inside and outside on the deck. It fades in and out at 12 feet no matter where i tested it.

'16I followed the advice of the manufacturer (in the comment below), and it did improve the reception a bit: connection is more reliable and I don't have as many skips/drops etc as before. Still, I am annoyed that the device has to be so close and must be line of sight, so I'm upping my rating to 3 stars.******(earlier review) Range is very poor - device must be within 10 feet or so. Direct line of sight is a must or the signal will just fail. Even then, the connection can be utterly awful, leading too annoying skips, stops, gaps in playback. Seems worse with a Mac laptop (vs iphone), even when placed within 3 feet of the receiverI am comparing performance to my UE BOOM portable speaker, which can be much further away, behind walls, etc. yet maintain a clear connection compared to this thing.Giving this two stars because when it does connect, the sound is good. Still, save yourself the aggravation and get a better quality receiver -- I wish I had.

It works, but like most bluetooth devices, I found it degraded the sound quality so significantly that it became a constant distraction from listening to music. The few seconds it is supposed to save by not having to plug your phone in every time you get in the car is negated by the constant low quality audio. Adding Aptx would likely go a long way as i.e. I've used 2 nearly identical headphones, with this being the only differing feature. The non Aptx pair got returned due to poor wireless audio quality (while sounding great wired). The Aptx headphones sounded great even wireless with the same audio track playing.The NFC is a useful feature for when it fails to connect automatically when turning the car on, however autoconnect when getting in the car nearly always eliminates the need to wave your phone over the NFC area for connection in the first place. It's a compact unit, smaller than expected and smaller than much of the competition. It is in a plastic body that feels reasonable durable, but because of the plastic body, light weight and hollow feel to it, it still ends up feeling pretty cheap.Most Aptx enabled models I found required AC power, making it difficult to use in a car. This uses USB charging and feels at home in your car.I ultimately ended up not keeping mine after a few weeks due to low quality audio and lack of support for more advanced wireless compression. That said, if your music collection is largely 128kbps mp3s and the like, then go ahead and buy this. Your used to compressed shrunken sound and will likely not notice the difference.

It's okay. Works with my Sony Radio Bookshelf Stereo. It now has Bluetooth capabilities. Works with my tablet and phone. Works with Android and Apple.

Does the job and connects instantly except it's better used with a system that has an on/off button since this item doesn't. I bought it to convert my Klipsch 2.1 ProMedia speakers to Bluetooth since they have an 1/8" input on the side of the controller and would allow me to use my iPhone Amazon Music account through the speakers in my kitchen without having to connect the built in line-in plug into the iPhone as I've done for years. The Klipsch have an on/off switch except it's on the sub-woofer which I have stashed under the bench in our breakfast nook so I just leave it on all the time. Because the Bluetooth receiver doesn't have an on/off switch, every time I get within range, the iPhone connects and I hear the little tone indicating a successful connection. Then, all the sounds that the phone makes come out of the speakers including my calls. I'm currently shopping for a different Bluetooth unit that has an on/off switch.

I used this device to connect an Echo Dot to my stereo. The device worked perfectly fine, for this purpose, but the only way I could disconnect the device from the Dot, was to unplug the power connector. Although the Dot disconnected (using voice commands) it immediately reconnected. After several attempts, the power disconnect was the only option, as the device does not have an on/off switch.

The range and function are quite good, BUT there is no on/off switch so you cannot just set it discretely in an entertainment center and forget it, it will always be on, trying to grab your Bluetooth signal, even if you are pairing to another device.

This unit was very easy to connect and the sound quality, when coupled with a good audio cable, is quite good, with good bass response. However, the bluetooth range was surprisingly limited, certainly not the advertised 30 ft. I'd say more like 15, which is somewhat disappointing. I may end up returning it for that reason.

I just want to play some old albums.All of the Bluetooth transmitters I have tried have a timeout feature after a few minutes of inactivity where I have to press a button on the transmitter to initiate connection again to the Bluetooth receiver. Thanks in part to the aggressive paring characteristics of this device, it is overriding the timeout features and keeping the Bluetooth connections live 24/7 so I don’t have to climb behind the couch to press the button on the transmitter. (I had to move the transmitter as close as possible to the receiver in the other room with a long audio cable) Now I just tell Alexa to “Turn on the Turntable” (which powers on the stereo and sets the input via my Harmony remote), and I press play on my turntable and I’m off and running.USE 2 HATE: BLUETOOTH RECEIVER FOR MY AMAZON DOT V2The main feature causing problems as other reviews will note is what is being called “AGGRESSIVE PAIRING” request from this device.The same feature I love in USE 1, is causing me problems in USE 2. I have an Amazon Dot connected to this Bluetooth receiver so that I can stream music to the Stereo with a command like “Turn on the Stereo” and “Play Playlist Background”. But, because the Bluetooth receiver is always on, it is permanently connected to the Dot. Supposedly you can tell Alexa/Dot “Disconnect” which is supposed to drop the connection until asked to “Connect” to the Bluetooth receiver, which is does for about 2 seconds then it immediately connects again. This means that if the stereo is off (99% of the time) then you can’t hear the dot respond because it is streaming all audio to the Bluetooth receiver even if the stereo itself is turned off. I don’t have this problem with my 2 other Dot’s and other speakers (Bose). One suggested work around was to plug the power supply of this unit into the Aux Power on the Receiver, but It would still cause problems if I was listening to a movie or music from another source then the Dot could not be heard. My final work around was not cheap, but I was tired of experiments and crawling under the desk to get to my receiver and returning things to Amazon. I had some TP-LINK internet connected plugs that I was using previously for my Christmas trees. I added one to a group in Alexa, so that when I tell the Dot / Alexa to “Turn on the Stereo” it also turns on the TP Link outlet, which also powers on the Bluetooth receiver, which then automatically connects to the Dot. (The Stereo is turned on separately and the proper input is selected through my Harmony Remote also part of that same group in Alexa). It might be a little inelegant kludge of a solution, but it works.So in the end this costs me about $20 for the AmazonBasics Bluetooth Receiver and about $30 for the TP Link remote outlet. Yes, I probably could have returned this and experimented with a few more devices, but I just wanted to be done with this project and move on with my life.I “Chatted” Alexa Tech Support and they had no awareness of this problem. Their advice “did you try turning it off then back on again”. (They have watched too many episodes of the IT Crowd I guess)

Does the job, and is easy to pair with. The only thing I don't like is that it automatically connects, so if more than one person pair to it, you have to have them turn off their Bluetooth if you want to use it. and if it's hooked up to a speaker full time, it will constantly "beep" trying to find a device to pair with. (I have mine on an "ON/OFF" switch) Mine is hooked up to a ceiling speaker in my bathroom, so if you come home from work and forget you're paired to it, all your phone notifications and sounds play through it. Snap chat or any video's for instance, I'll be in the living room, and hear the video's playing in my bathroom because I forgot to turn off my Bluetooth when done using it....haha. Although it's kind of fun when we have guest are over, and when they use the bathroom I can play things on my phone to mess with them. But other than that rare occasion, it's kind of a pain to constantly turn your Bluetooth on and off, it trumps out other devices so you can't connect to them too. so if you have Bluetooth in your car, and this thing is withing 50' of that, you have to wait until you get away from home before your car will connect. But if your using it for one thing, it's does the job for the money!

its really difficult to rate this product because I never received it in it's stead I received a string of fairy lights which my grand daughter liked so I kept them and picked up the 16 gauge wire a my place of employment the only fail Amazon has had in there relationship with me

Amazon should of ran a dark black or red line (single) instead of white to determine the positive or negative wire tubing. The white line is very faint, so you don't see it well. Not happy with that. But, good basic wire over all. Note well - Not Oxygen free

I would give this product if there consistency amount roles.I bought 3 roles and 2 of them marked the positive wire with a white stripe, the 3rd spool marked the negative wire with a black stripe. Just a heads-up, this is only CCA wire, not OFC. It's not bad, specially for the price. It's better than included cables and decent enough replacement for entry-level to mid-range audio systems or home theaters. Just be informed. If you can afford $50 for the cables, there are better solutions available.

Sound is decent. Stripping the insulation off the wire seems to take more effort than I remember with other brands. Tough to distinguish between the two wires, they just use a faint white line on one wire that can be tough to see, especially in the dark behind an entertainment center as you attempt to hook up the speakers.

This is basic CCA audio cable. It also appears to be the advertised gauge. Unless you have a high end audio system I see no need in splurging on OFC cabling. I usually tin the ends of the cabling anyway so the connection points aren't a great concern. It would be recommendable to use 14 gauge wire, but I've only got a mid-range Onkyo receiver and basic speakers. When I upgrade my speaker package the cost of good 14 gauge OFC cable will be included in that purchase.

These are extremely tight on the rca end, I honestly felt like I was going to break somethimg pulling them off the unit. I tried on several different units, all very tight, so I went with somethimg else. Sounded ok when hooked up but my application was somethimg I would have to unhook often and didn't want to worry about breaking somethimg each time

Bought it in October 5 2016, ive used it pretty much everyday. The rubber that encloses the wire ripped by the base within a few months and still worked but as if today it only plays music out of one speaker so it lasted me 5 months of daily use, kinda expected more use out of it but oh well.

Good product quality but only 3 stars for description not being entirely clear on design. I was looking for a cable set could reach between speakers around 4 feet apart. Description did not state how close red and white connectors were (only a few inches apart and not able to extend further). Wish manufacturer description was more specific.

Works as it should. Nothing special about but the fact that it works without any issues gets it 3/5 stars.

I bought this cable because My Cadillac Escalade doesn't have an aux cable so the alternative is to plug this one into the rear center console and the other end into the phone so it works as an aux cable. The cable does the trick but when the music stops you get a lot of static. I've had other cables in the past that I didn't have this problem with.

Bought this a while ago................at first I had a hard time getting it to connect to my laptop. It connected to my phone right away. Hooked it up to my home theater system, and the sound quality was deplorable. I thought maybe it was just that some of the music I have on my phone is at a less-than-optimal quality.................I was fianally able to connect to my laptop after switching the unit to a small bookshelf system MUCH closer to my laptop (3 feet away..............the home theater system is about 15 feet away) The playback quality is AWFUL..................lots of static and cut-out. Can't use it without feeling like I should beat my head in with a shovel. I'd return it, but postage would be more than it would be worth.............(Plus, somehow the original box and paperwork disappeared...............can't imagine WHO threw it away <glares at wife>)

I tried this Homespot reciever, (this product) and the audio was pretty good, but the connectivity was terrible - lots of skips. YMMV as I understand there are different versions of bluetooth technology. I'm using it on a 2013 MacBook Pro for reference. The skips were so annoying that I had to return it.I returned The Homespot and purchased the HiFi HiFi Lossless Bluetooth Audio Receiver Optical Fiber Coaxial Out for Digital Amp. The connectivity was better but the sound was definitely NOT HiFi (high-fidelity).That's being returned and I just ordered the Audioengine B1 Bluetooth Music Receiver. Audioengine B1 Bluetooth Music Receiver It's 4X the price, but several different websites that did shootouts and reviews all said that it's the one to buy if you're an audiophile.Perhaps this will work for you, but apparently I can't get by with one at this price point.

I struggled trying to get this to work for me. I stream audio from my MacBook Pro to my stereo system (located line-of-sight, 25' away). With this receiver, lots of dropouts and disconnects. I had to situate my MacBook at just such an angle and then not touch it. Still, walking around the room or opening the refrigerator door caused dropouts.Spend just a few more dollars and get the Miccus Home RTX. Working great. Not finicky.

Got this to be able to stream music from my cellphone to my audio receiver. Have had it around for a few weeks and have the following observations:Good:1. NFC pairing - NFC pairing with my android phone worked perfectly.2. Seems to have decent range for my usage scenario (I am in the same room as the receiver, haven't tried to use it while connected from another room)3. Small form factor - The device is very small and I was able to put it next to my receiver. It would have been barely noticeable were it not for the flashing blue LED light on the front.Bad:1. Frequently experience audio cutoff even though the device has a direct line of sight to my phone.2. The flashing blue light on the front gets annoying after a while. Wish there was a way to turn it off without having to power down the device.Not that happy overall due to the audio cut-off issue. Might have to look at other options if this continues.

The range is dreadful. Can't even sit 9 feet directly in front of it without the audio being cut off.I had purchased an Indigo BTR9 Bluetooth Wireless Music Switchable Transmitter and Receiver for other purposes, but decided to compare its range with the HomeSpot (I expected the Indigo to be lower because it's considerably smaller and runs on a battery).To make the comparison fair, I placed the Indigo receiver exactly in the same place the HomeSpot was and tested with the same transmitter (a Nexus 5 phone).The difference was staggering. While the HomeSpot cuts off at the slightest chance (placing a hand in between, being farther than 9 feet), I could walk with the Indigo to another room, stand behind the wall and still get a clear uninterrupted signal.NFC and pairing worked fine, though. The audio output has a good volume too.In conclusion, the HomeSpot hardly delivers on that 66 feet range promise (actually more like 8 feet). Unless you live in one of those tiny Japanese capsules, this receiver will not fulfill most needs for home use.

Easy to pair, sound quality seems just fine when close. Nice for them to have included both 3.5mm and RCA cables. I give it 4 stars as I only seem to get 15-18FT range, and that's line-of-sight. It goes down if I'm in the next room. I don't find that unreasonable, and it works for my purpose, but it's much less than the 66FT advertised.EDIT: I bought this item to use on my deck, which is located outside my bedroom where my stereo is. Normally I run a headphone jack out the window when I have people over and want music outside. I thought this would be a more elegant solution. It wasn't. My nearly-new iPhone 4S is 10 feet away and the only thing that separates the receiver is a screen, and the audio is very choppy. It gets better if I put it on a chair next to the window. Might as well have the cable. Downgraded to 2 stars.

Didn't live up to some of the positive reviews in my opinion. Audio out is very low, and doesn't have the full clear audio I'm used to. I'm comparing first to Apple Airplay (which got flaky on my receiver, which put me on this path), next comparison is to Amazon Echo DOT. The volume level needed for good audio with Airplay is way less than this receiver, and sounds much better. The Echo DOT needs a little more volume than Airplay and doesn't sound quite as good as Airplay, but it's still much better than this BT receiver. If your looking for quality audio from a good stereo system, I suggest looking elsewhere. I'd really like to know if there is something under $100 that does a better job than the DOT, but for now I'm happy with the DOT.

The audio quality is fine. My BIG objection is the device's obnoxious habit of connecting to Bluetooth sources even when I don't want it to do so. I have an Echo Dot that is paired with this receiver. When I'm watching TV the stereo receiver is selected to the TV as it's audio source. At those times I want to be able to use the Echo independently. I disconnect the Echo from the AmazonBasics receiver only to have the AmazonBasics receiver immediately reconnect to the Echo and the only way I can prevent it from doing so is to unplug it. So, every time I want to watch TV I have to unplug the AmazonBasics receiver and when I want to stream music on my Echo I have to plug it back in. Very frustrating.I want to be able to say, "Alexa, disconnect speaker," and have it stay disconnected until I say, "Alexa, connect speaker."

It works fine, except with the Amazon Echo. If you tell the Echo to "Disconnect Speaker", it disconnects but immediately reconnects...Grrrr!I returned it due to this incompatibility.

I bought this for use with my Echo Dot. I use a home theater receiver and like voice control for Spotify.It connects and works great. But it won't disconnect. If I want to use my dot without being connected to bluetooth, it auto connects and makes me use my home theater receiver. If you connect your phone with multiple bluetooth devices and this Amazon Bluetooth receiver is on, it will connect and not allow you to make any other connections unless you unplug it, since there is no on/off switch. VERY INCONVENIENT!I upgraded from the logitech which would not connect all the time. Now I have the opposite problem where it won't disconnect. HORRIBLE DESIGNI would NOT recommend this product to any friend of mine.

The device transmits bluetooth sound fine, but you just can't unpair it; you have to pull the plug from wall outlet to disconnect from your smartphone. This is a real nuisance. Whereas with a Homespot, just a push on the button disconnects the phone; however with that device you have to to the Bluetooth settings to connect to it again, just one extra step every time; not automatic like my Bose Soundlinks.Amazon really needs to FIX THIS ISSUE.

Just got this item today. Works well. As other people have mentioned, though, it automatically reconnects when you try to disconnect it from a device. Some people said you need to unplug the power. However, I found that you don't need to. What you need to do is hold down the "Pair" button on the back while you disconnect it from your device. It's still too bad you have to press a physical button to get the receiver to disconnect, but the receiver works fine otherwise.Updated review -- now down from 4 stars to 2:As mentioned above, I thought I had solved the issue with the Receiver auto connecting after a device is disconnected from it. I thought holding down the Pair button and disconnecting the device solved the problem. However, after having the Receiver for a while, it doesn't always work. So I am now considering a different receiver.

Well.....the product should be good but it came in too late... so I had to buy another one from best buy to hook the new karaoke system and speakers I bought for a party I had.

Good wire, but it needs a line on one side to make install easier.

Your basic speaker wire. All is well except for the 10 or so inches in the middle of the spool which was completely missing copper conductors on the black side. It's a good thing I didn't install it permanently. Mild frustration that didn't require me to tear the wall apart.

This is not pure copper and rather copper cladded aluminum. Copper wires can be had for a similar price.

No markings on the sheathing makes me give this wire a low rating. It should have some kind of stripe or something so you can keep the polarity correct. You need additional equipment in order to use this wire correctly. Other than that it's very good quality. However, the shortcomings would prevent me from either recommending or re-purchasing this wire. If it had the obviously needed markings I would have given it 5 stars.

The 3.5mm plug does NOT fit an Apple iPad Air wearing an Otterbox case! I purchased this to send backing tracks from my iPad to my Fender Amp, and while the mini plug fits into the port, it does not snap in as all my other 3.5mm plugs will; the shroud between the plug and the wire is too thick! I had to use another brand extension to make this work.

There is some severe noise. I dont know whether it is because of this cable or AVR or other sources. If i connect via blutooth then sound is clear.

Didn't work for me due to nasty static/noise. To be fair though I'm not sure if the problem lies in the cable or the jack on my TV. I won't purchase another just to test it. I bought a TosLink cable instead.

This piece of sh*t has been making noise ever since I got it last year, but just this week the crackling became more noticeable and it's almost driving me to madness.

This cable is not shielded as it claims. It is a well made cable. But it will not protect against EMI/RFI.

Bought to connect my projector to my PA system. The sound is mixed terribly, you definitely want to try and stick to two separate fields if you can. For me it was unfortunately unusable. Nice construction, too bad.

This thing is garbage. It disconnects from my phone all the time. I leave the house and come back, not connected. I go to bed and in the morning it's disconnected. I sit around the house without using it for a few hours and it's disconnected. Meanwhile my iphone is always in range and always has bluetooth turned on. Likewise the device is turned on. It disconnects even when they're sitting in the same room. It's not signal interference - the signal is always strong. Yet I have to open my phone settings and force it to reconnect, because the stupid device turns itself "off".I BOUGHT A PLUGIN BLUETOOTH DEVICE TO BE ALWAYS ON!! WHEN IT DISCONNECTS FOR NO REASON AND I HAVE TO MANUALLY RECONNECT, IT'S COMPLETELY USELESS!! Piece of junk.

The device worked for a whole of 40 minutes before it disconnected. I then tried to get reconnect any of my devices -- two phones and three computers -- unsuccessfully. I tried everything, including restating the device. Nothing worked. The decode became unrecognizable.

This device paired up easily with my iPhone 6 and provided a good-sounding interface between my iPhone and my Linn receiver. I enjoyed listening to my iTunes music library on my home system for a month or two. Then one day it just quit working. Just quit. My phone searches for it but does not find it, and no amount of resetting of either phone or device renders it findable. It just sits there, blinking its little light, doing nothing. And no amount of googling, Internet searching or digging through Amazon uncovers anything helpful in the way of tech advice. I realize it's only thirty bucks, Jeff Bezos, but to me that's still real money. This device has turned out to be yet another manifestation of the Disposable Society.

DO NOT BUY!These bluetooth audio receivers are very frustrating to use. I purchased this product based on the seemingly overwhelming amount of positive reviews and so I had no idea about how truly impractical and annoying this audio receiver is to try and use. First red flag I should have noticed is the manufacturer's claim that there MUST be a clear line of sight from audio source to receiver. Anyone with basic common sense can come to the conclusion that this is something that can be quite problematic if there are people walking around or if there are objects in the way. When they say there must be a clear line of sight, they really mean it. If even a thin piece of clothing or fabric disrupts the line of sight for a millisecond, the receiver "freaks" out and starts skipping parts of the song. Sometimes, it even does this odd thing of playing the music at a much higher rate of speed to catch up. It's ridiculous. I tried setting it up in different conditions to try and see if I could improve the consistency and reliability of the sound but even when my iphone was literally inches or a couple feet away, there would still be occasional speed-ups in the song or skips. It's very annoying to use and a very poorly designed product.

This product was horrible , I bought this with the idea that I would spend more ($30) and get very good range and a good product. Little did I know that when my phone is placed in front of it it would still skip and have horrible sound quality. I have this connected to my home theatre system and it doesn't even work when I'm in the room that it's set up it.I bought a bluetooth speaker for 30 and it has way better range then this piece of s***. I will leave the speaker in the room upstairs and walk down stairs and outside my house and it will still work. People walk in front of this receiver and it starts skipping, while I'm in the same room.I want my money back!!!!!

This unit easily connected to my stereo, however it cuts off the first 5 or 6 seconds of every song when playing through my iPhone 5s in close proximity (10 feet). I have a Bose Soundlink Color which performs flawlessly with the same phone in another location (and has better range). After reading all the favorable reviews here, I'm very disappointed. It connects and plays fine, and then you can NEVER disconnect.Once you've connected to it ever, it will always connect when you are in range. If you try to disconnect, it will immediately reconnect. My other Bluetooth receivers (Like the MPOW) will allow you to disconnect and it remains disconnected until you choose to reconnect.The only way to prevent the audio from your naughty movies spontaneously playing out of your living room speakers while your roommates are watching SpongeBob is to completely forget the device and re-pair when you want to use it again, which is extremely slow and inconvenient.The other stupid solution is to "simply turn off the device when you don't want to connect to it." That would be a possible solution IF THE UNIT HAD A POWER SWITCH! It does not and you have to unplug it to turn it off.My solution was to use it with my Lepai amplifier that had a power switch. I retrofitted the amplifier to have a USB power port on it connected to the switch. Then I cut the coaxial power plug off the power cord, soldered it to a USB cable, and plug it into the amplifier. That way, it turns off when the amplifier turns off. So it now works acceptably well in my office, and I will get another adapter of a different type for my home. Bought it to stream music from a Fire tablet to an amplifier. It sits unobstructed about 10 feet from the router...it drops out every couple of songs and needs manual intervention. I have never had issues with any Bluetooth devices until I bought this device. DO NOT ORDER THIS DEVICE.

So this is a great item if you just have one system you need to connect AND you have no other Bluetooth devices AND you are NOT using a windows device to connect to it. Sound was good and set up was very easy. However, I have multiple Bluetooth systems and I was using my windows 10 laptop to attempt to connect to this device. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. Every time my laptop would sleep, I would loose the connection to this device. Then I would be forced to restart my laptop (tried to just remove device, and it would just freeze in "unpairing" status) and re-establish the Bluetooth connection on the Amazon (i.e. press pair button on the rear of the device). As you can imagine, this is unacceptable. I have one of these set up in a bedroom unit for use with an ipod touch. No issues. Works great. If you are planning on using this with windows, look elsewhere.

Pretty much the same issue others have stated.This device is extremely "needy" - Once paired to anything, if not connected, it will repeatedly try to reconnect to that device.So it's impossible to disconnect from it and use local audio.In my home, I occasionally want to play Bluetooth audio through my surround system. However - most of the time, my sound system is either off or it is switched to a different input than the 3.5mm stereo input. The moment I pair a phone to this - the phone's audio is now useless unless I have my surround system turned on and switched to the 3.5mm input. Similarly - This is not suitable for use with the Echo Dot (despite Amazon's implication that it is) as you cannot cause the Dot to disconnect from Bluetooth to use the local speaker for more than 5 seconds. The Dot also issues the reconnection status audio AFTER it reconnects - so you have no idea why it is no longer working.Other than that it seems to be OK - but the forced reconnect makes it useless.

REALLY easy setup. REALLY good sound. Problem? The first day, I was getting 20 to 50 sound dropouts per track played. And the device was only 10 feet from the computer --- 1/3 of its advertised range --- with an unobstructed line between the two. So I downloaded a new Bluetooth driver, in case it was my laptop (Dell Inspiron 5558, Windows 10 Home). That didn't change anything.Second day, it worked without a hitch --- and I revised my original one-star rating to a four-star rating.Third and fourth days, same original problem is back. I connected the laptop to another bluetooth device, just to confirm it wasn't the computer --- and didn't get any interruption of sound --- so I am officially giving-up on this one, and returning it. Really disappointed, because the sound quality is VERY good.

Alright... I've had this receiver for a few months now so I can leave a proper review. I dont use it because its a pain in the ass. How so you ask? Well, I have multiple Bluetooth devices that I use for listening to audio on my phone. I have Bluetooth headphones, a Bluetooth speaker in my room, and another in my office. I wanted to have a nice little compact Bluetooth receiver for my living room audio setup so that I wouldn't have to tether my phone to the actual aux cord.So i bought this, connected it to my stereo, sync'd with my phone. Yay! it connects, it plays my music. PROBLEM: It does not disconnect from Bluetooth. If I leave the little receiver connected and go into my room and connect to my Bluetooth speaker, it will not be able to connect because my phone will still be connected to the other one in the living room. EVEN when I force the disconnect it connects again. Its like a pesky little device that never wants you to let it go.For that reason alone is why its a 1 star. If this is your only Bluetooth audio receiver you use in your house, than I'm assuming it will be more than adequate. If you're like me and have multiple devices that you connect to interchangeably based on purpose/function, this will drive you crazy.

Had to do two pulls of wire, one of 35 feet and one of 45 feet. Thought the reel was a little light but the label said it was 100 feet. Ended up with one successful pull of 35 feet and another of about 35 feet leaving me having to run out to get more (expensive) wire from Best Buy. Never buying this again.

Copper clad aluminum wire. It should say so in the description for those of us looking for pure copper wire.

I didn't think to read the reviews first, after all its just speaker wire... Amazon basics I usually trust, but this is CCA and its going in the garbage. Not going to cut it for the 50ft run I have.

Used it for about two weeks and had to go back to using my old cord because of all the static sounds that started coming through my system. Thought it was something else at first but plugged my old cord in and everything sounded great again. Get what you pay for I guess

Didn't work for me at all.. Tried with multiple sources and targets... always gives a screeching noise. Dumped it within the first week!
