I dont use much, perfect for me to rotate my tires every few months. Bit heavy. But super sturdy and powerfull enough.

2nd one I've had. The 1st we actually killed in our shop and I do mean it took a real beating before it gave up,Hence the purchase of the same kind. Great tool.

Used it for the first time today to change over 4 mounted snows to all-seasons. It performed well and did everything I could have asked of it. I do not have compressed air in the garage and this was a very cost-effective way to gain the capability of an impact wrench. My back likes it a lot.

A really good set of sockets for the price. They're not fancy but they get the job done. Not a lot of play or wobble when attached to a wrench or extension. I've seen no wear or signs of breakage even though they get plenty of use on an impact wrench. The case they come with is pretty basic but it works. The sockets had some coating of oil still on them from the factory, so wipe them down when you get them. I would highly recommend them.

One note. If you are buying these needing a specific size, check the listing for what sizes are included. They have the most common sizes, but if you are looking for a 15mm to remove the transmission mount off the skid plate on a 95 wrangler YJ, you will be out of luck. I didn't remove any stars for this because it was my mistake, the sizes are clearly listed in the details.

I hammered on these with my 1/2 air gun and took very rusty bolts out of the skid plate mounts. No wear on the socket and no stress fractures.

This impact socket set contained all the sockets I needed to remove stubborn metric bolts from my rusted on caliper brackets. Each socket is nicely labeled and the blow molded socket box is great quality and way better than the quality of the "socket tree" that some cheaper brands like harbor freight come with.

Great set. I should have read the description because doing a job last weekend I needed 18mm for many applications on a Jeep. I had to run to Lowe's and pay over $5 for one.

Overall, this is a very good set but if there was a next time, I'd purchase a more complete set.

I do all my own repair and maintenance on my vehicles, which currently number 6... All except my boat are foreign vehicles, and I finally got around to getting a set of deep impact sockets in metric... (Since impact sockets are six sided, you can get by with SAE sizes, but it's far from ideal... :) )

These sockets are good. The finish on the sockets doesn't match quite exactly, but that's really not an issue. Some are a little flatter black than others... Apparently they were made either in separate batches or they were made at different subcontractors, but they don't all look like they came from the same set... But they are well made and sized exactly right... (Some sockets are a little tighter or looser than the standard, but these are dead on. I measured them with an inside micrometer; they are dead on with the spec.)

If I had a wish list, I would have made this set include a 25mm socket and drop the 10mm. I have never seen a 10mm bolt that I actually needed an impact socket for. If the bolt is extremely tight, I would just grab a 6 sided regular socket to remove it.

Since I have a very large collection of sockets and these are deep sockets, I didn't have room in my toolbox drawer that I have all my sockets in... I knew I wouldn't, and that's why I wanted a set that came in some sort of holder or box that I can store in the cabinet where I keep my impact wrenches. The box is nice, two locking tabs and a handle to grab it with. The standard spring loaded socket holders won't work with these, they are far too heavy and will just fall off.

Handy and dandy! If you're like me, you came here to find deep-well impact sockets for cheap! These sockets are well-made, sturdy, and can take any punishment my cordless impact wrench can dish out. Stanley is well known for making workhorse tools that work well for occasional/non-pro (people like me, and maybe you) use, and these are an excellent bargain. They're not flashy but they get the job done. I highly recommend!

Nice, heavy duty set.I have a mixed set of sockets that I have acquired throughout many years, but I am missing sizes, some are wearing out,etc... So I needed a fresh set. I bought this and the metric sizes. I am impressed.The first job I tackled came in the form of removing the skid plate bolts on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler. Just google it, they are rusted in, stuck and a lot of people cut them out. I put some PB Blaster on it, let it sit overnight and cranked the PSI up on my compressor for my impact. I hammered on them and these held up perfectly. One of the toughest jobs you could put these through.There are a few common sizes missing, so look to make sure that any sizes you may need for your projects are included. It's handy that they have a 1 inch socket as that is not a common socket in most sets. The carrying cases feel well made and fit well. Not overly bulky but strong.I highly recommend these sets.

Item arrived in the retail package. I initially purchased the Stanley 97-126 11 Piece 1/2-Inch Drive Metric Deep Impact Socket Set (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NIKA4U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), which came with a Lifetime Warranty as well. I was so impressed with them, I ordered this item as well. These will be used with my DeWalt Impact Driver. I work with a local PD, where I work with a teammate and assist motorists needing assistance. One of the many things we do is help disabled motorist with flats. This socket set and the Metric brother set will allow me to remove and replace the lug nuts a lot faster. Sure, we will still need to break the lug nuts loose manually, but once that is done, we can now speed through the process of removing and replacing the lug nuts. Add in the Lifetime Warranty and you have a WINNER!I will use this seller again!

I have really put these through some work and they performed as described. Nice case too. What more can I say.

Good quality. Don't have to worry about them breaking in my impact gun like standard sockets. Great value.

The folks that had been rotating my tires had been a little sloppy, and when I took over tire rotation, I could not remove some of the damaged lug nuts. This set fixed the problem. The 7/8" socket fit the nuts that used to be 21mm, and I was able to finish the job. These are well made, and I expect to be happily using them for years to come.

Some people like myself assume the factory jack and lug wrench works on their wheels. My truck had aftermarket wheels installed from the dealer. It never crossed my mind that the lug wrench installed on the truck would not fit inside the opening for the lug nuts. Luckily I discovered this while attempting maintenance and not stranded on the side of the road. The sockets are thinner than your average impact socket allowing them to fit into smaller diameter holes that a lot of the aftermarket wheels have. With all that being said these universal lug sockets are great. I use them with a 24" breaker bar and an impact wrench. I've had no problems at all.

These flip sockets are very good quality made in Taiwan and come in a nice blow molded fitted plastic case that keeps everything together and organized. Would highly recommend them to anyone who rotates their own tires at home.

It would have been nice if the size markings were inscribed as well, because one of the flip sockets' surface size mark was scraped off upon first use due to rub against surrounding metal surface. That is not to say the size marking quality is defective, but only to point out that with use and abuse tools get scraped and scratched, so inscription and embossing marks - which are the conventional practices are guaranteed to last the lifetime of tools.Still, I give it 5 stars because it's a set that is very well designed (flip sockets), product quality and convenient compact carrying case. Recommend for anyone with impact wrench and a vehicle.

This impact set for wheels is great. The sockets are smaller than normal impact sockets so it doesn't scratch wheels up as much. The smooth paint coating also helps. This set includes 6 sizes and should work for most normal car and truck wheels. The included "extension" piece isn't really an extension. You need that to use the socket. longer 1/2 extensions will also work if you need them for your application.

This 6 different size socket Im works so well and for this price it was a steal. These sockets very well made.

Havent broken yet on some insanely stubborn bolts. But it is missing some important sizes I need. Thats what the tool truck is for I guess, or they could complete the socket set........whatever. Does the job

I know this is ridiculous and I should read the description, but the set is missing an 18, 20, and 23. Kind of strange to not include these, and of course I needed an 18 for the first job I was doing....

Other than that, great impact set and way cheaper than any other brand but about 50%. Will be getting the 18, 20, and 23 separately to round off the set.

Didn't care for the grease that comes on them, but it's a solid set for the money. I mainly wanted a quick access set for my torque wrenches when working on my motorcycle and I also needed a 6pt 24mm which my big set didn't have. Covers everything I need in a durable plastic case that fits in my bike with my torque wrench.

Packaging and cleanup was inconvenient, but I'm happy with the ratio of value to quality.

These are a good value. However, they are not Chrome vanadium/black powder coated as shown in the picture. My set looks like the industrial Pittsburgh impact set that you find at Harbor Freight where oil will soak in rather than simply wipe away. Regardless, they work fine and are significantly cheaper in price than the Harbor Freight brand.

If you're looking for a nice similar set that is indeed Chrome vanadium/black powder coated, check out the Ingersoll Rand SK4M14L set here on Amazon. However, note that set costs $65.

Great set, nice and robust. I don't think I'll be needing replacements any time soon, however, two things keep this from being a 5 star set:
1. This is a decently sized set for the money ($22), and even though it includes the sizes in the description, the lack of 15, 18 and 20mm sockets makes this a hard set to finish off later. I really needed a 20mm, although I didn't realize I needed it until I got into the job. It's my fault, but still makes this set less attractive than a truly consecutive one.
2. The case this set comes in is certainly handy (so is the handle), however, mine opened during shipping, despite the extra metal screw to hold it closed. By the time I got it, only 1 of the sockets was actually still in the case, and the box had opened. Luckily, they all stayed inside the box. The sockets were just too heavy for the case given the typical UPS treatment, but it also makes me concerned that it could do that to me should I drop it.
This is a great set, just not perfect.

The deep sockets are a great value for the price. They are much cheaper than the alternatives and get accomplish the job. The only way to make this product better is to provide a case/holder.

Came secured and extremely greased up.works great and already used once tro take my tires off and check brake pads and they worked great my only gripe though is hard to see the size markings

I was impressed with the overall quality of the sockets, they are surely five star quality sockets. My only issue is my kit shipped with TWO 11/16" sockets and no 5/8"... It took me a couple months to realize as these aren't a set of sockets I use everyday. I just made a large purchase of a large toy that needed large sockets to work with and this seemed like a good set to start me off. Hopefully Amazon will fix me up even being outside the return window. Will update if so...

i had purchased because of the price. after seeing the product. its as good as the craftsman. i purchased both the SAE and the metric. only draw back is the size markings. hard to see black on black.

good but not to tight on nuts

This set of lugnut sockets looks nice and is a great addition to any toolset. These will pretty much cover you for all passeneger cars and trucks. My only gripe is toyota lugnuts get stuck in the 21mm socket sometimes and i have to knock them out with a 3/8 extension

A good deal I think. a socket for all your lug nut needs. I haul a fifth wheel trailer with my dually 1 ton truck. This tool coupled with a dewalt 18v impact make short work out of an otherwise tedious job. It's one of those tools you don't need often, but glad you got it when you do need it.

Good quality. Not as thin as Gorilla thin wall chrome sockets. Handy little kit though. These will not work with my oversized McGard tough nuts, and Kosei wheels. They do work with standard OEM lugnuts on the same wheels. This would be perfect if they were a thinner wall.

Good product with nice carry case. I just wish the middle of these sockets were flush with the socket size. Because of the wider center I can not use these on after market wheels with small lug nut holes where a thin wall socket is needed.

- Three (3) flip sockets provide 6 sizes - for me, the 17mm/19mm for my Euro wheel lugs.- Made from Chrome Moly Cr-M steel (compared to Chrome Vanadium Cr-V for hand ratchet sockets) -- Cr-M is more expensive, better for higher torque of impact wrenches and won't shatter compared to Cr-V which is hard but brittle and shatters when broken. Therefore, fit for impact wrench means they're also suitable for hand wrench like breaker bars & torque wrenches.- Finished nicely in black, but as tools they will be abrased with use.- 1/2" drive shaft fits into the middle of each socket, giving overall length of about 4" (sockets are about 3" tall), and provides enough standoff distance to use a torque wrench for wheel lugs to avoid scratching car fender when pushing/pulling wrench.- Tekton says extension doesn't effect torque reading as extension doesn't absorb torque.- If using impact wrench, this is what you need (Cr-M steel). For general purposes, a Cr-V socket set (about 10 sizes) + 3" extension may be more versatile for about $25.- Made in Taiwan. Comes with nice, red hard plastic (spaced) storage case. (I use a freezer zip bag instead so I see the contents.)

I bought this thing a couple days ago. I bought it at a closeout store. When I read GM Performance Parts and 100% ball bearing I thought it was the real deal. I was disappointed when I got home and took it out of the box. This IS MADE IN CHINA, it says so right on the box if you read close enough and it is evident when you look it over. I really wanted a backup (right now my compressor is out) so I decided to really look it over. I took it all apart. The motor does have ball bearings on both ends, however the gearbox/impact unit has ALL BUSHINGS. The box clearly states "Metal Gear Housing For Durability with 100% Ball Bearing Construction" That is an outright lie. The gearcase had just a very thin layer of grease inside, it definitely needs more grease. Motor brushes are easily removed. I called the 800 number and was told by a woman speaking very clearly that brushes are in stock for $4 plus $7 shipping. The final test before returning it was to actually use it. I took some lug nuts off my truck wih no problem. Then I tightened one with a torque wrench to 140 ft lbs. The impact wrench hammered for 10-15 seconds and did take it off, but I think it was close to it's limit. I don't believe it would ever deliver the 240 ft lbs it says on the box. Anyway 140 is acceptable for me. It is very loud, much louder than my air impact wrench, loud enough to warrant ear plugs. I have 30 days to return it so I 'm going to put some grease in it and put it to work. At this point I would cautiously recommend it for the $50 I paid. I would not recommend it for the $100 some are asking. One further note on GM Performance Parts. The trademark is used under license to and distributed by Test Rite Products. Congratulations GM, You just moved one step closer to the bottom of the list.Update: I've had it for a couple months now, I haven't used it a lot, but it's working fine. I've also found an advantage to electric, driving lag screws without an air compressor.

I got this to change the timing belt on my Toyota. the 14mm socket is used a lot for that application. My 14mm socket is lightly stamped and there is no way a 14mm bolt head is going to fit in it, but a 13mm bolt head will??? I think this one was dropped off the production line at the factory and was mis-stamped at the factory? I'll be seeing what I can do to get it corrected, no fault of the seller, more a fault of Stanley tools I think. Otherwise a very nice set of sockets that I will probably use my whole life.

Nice set, just wish they wouldn't have skipped the 18mm and 20mm. If they absolutely had to skip a couple it would make a lot more sense to skip the 11mm and 13mm since I'm far less likely to be slamming those smaller sizes with a 1/2" impact, or if I did I'm more comfortable using my standard 11mm and 13mm since they wouldn't be on all that tight anyway.

Who the heck doesn't include a 18 mm! Case doesn't last

Seems like a good enough set for the money but it skips the 15mm size for some reason. I bought this to do replace my shocks and guess what size I needed...15mm. In all fairness, it says what sizes are included in the description and 15mm is not listed in there. Still, I just don't get a set that skips sizes.

Quality seems OK but why leave out 15, 18, & 20 mm sockets?- not like you never use those sizes. Get rid of the 10, 11, & 12 mm- not that useful and a bit overkill thinking you'd really need a 1/2" torque wrench for those size fasteners. Just picking up those 3 individual sockets at Sears cost more than this set. Hindsight is better spending a bit more and getting a complete range.

Not a full set other than that it's good

It came with 2 of the same sockets and is missing one of the others. I didn't figure it out until I needed the one that was missing but it's too late to exchange. Pretty annoying but the sockets themselves are stout, I've used an impact that has 700 ft lbs and they had no issue busting loose an old rusted in gas tank bolt.

Awesome sockets just remember that when you order something don't always expect it to have everything as listed. My set my wife bought me came with two 22mm sockets they didn't put in the 21 that was supposed to come with it. Anyways great product other than that

I received my Stanley set very quickly via Amazon Prime as always. I have used them in my Small Engine Repair shop for the past week removing mower blades, spindles, lug nuts and other various tasks. This is the first so called "Impact Sockets" I have owned because I have never broken a single one of my Craftsman standard sockets using my Ingersoll 325 ft lb variable power impact wrench. My main reason for purchasing this set is the need for some deep well 6 point 1/2" drive sockets. Here is my impression;Pros; Very nice case to store the sockets, they are very heavy and show zero signs of wear after testing the 7/16-3/4 at full power for at least a full minute, not the slightest markings or wear inside the socket or the drive insert, fitment on all bolts is good at this price, there is very little slop.Cons; received sockets soaked with oil and rust scaling causing them to appear very dull, the 7/16 and 15/16 size markings are completely un-legible as the engraving is to shallow, these sockets are very thick walled making them unusable in low clearance spots, I have never seen chrome vanadium rust prior to these which raises an advertising question.Overall; I placed all of the sockets in my ultrasonic cleaner to remove the oil and most of the scaling than used steel wool to clean all the scaling off. I wiped them down with a lightweight oil to protect them as it was obvious they would rust. This also made the etching much easier to read though the two mentioned above remained un-legible. It appears these sockets are very durable and will likely last a lifetime but I can't say I am happy with the purchase. Compared to the Tektron sockets I have purchased here, these are inferior products regarding the quality of steel and poor quality engravings. However, I do like the case very much and I really have no reason to complain at this price for a socket that seems unbreakable. These are decent heavy duty sockets but they can and will rust easily.The other problem is the very hard to read markings that will drive youcrazy trying to read the sizes. If I had to do it again I would pick a set thatwould't rust easily and I could read the size easily.

The wells are not very deep, so you have to be careful that you don't damage the heads of acorn style lug nuts. The walls are too thick for a set of custom wheels that I have, so these won't work on them.

These would be nice if they were more slim. I can't get them to fit on some cars that have smaller bolt holes on their rims. Works for most applications though

They are OK, not super thin though.

Overall they seem to be well made and a good product, just couldn't get them to reach deep enough to get to my lugs before hitting wheels first. So pretty useless to me.

Both metric and SAE in the same kit which is a great value.A bit wobbly though since the extension must be used at all times.Would have gone with a separate SAE kit for only a few dollars more if I had known.

Bought this impact wrench almost a year ago here at Amazon to have as a backup. Finally had to take it out of the box today to use it. Worked great on 3 lug nuts, then the switch quit working on the reverse side. I disassembled the handle and tested the switch with an ohmmeter, and it definitely isn't working.No way to fix it, and I can't find a replacement switch anywhere online. Very disappointed, won't buy another GM tool...

Pretty weak, I tightened my lug nuts with this and a wheel almost fell off on the road while I was driving

we returned this because it was missing a couple sockets...which just happen to be ones my husband needed.

Didn't fit my impact wrench at all, even though it's supposed to fit 1/2" but I did get a refund & bought another set that actually does fit

Outer rims too thick, cannot go into small spaces, especially car rims.

Solid set in a plastic case. 2 stars because I got two 13 mm and no 12. Pretty disappointed because I use the 12 a lot. Not returning this used item.

1 socket has no chamfer, kind of poor quality

It is a good set of sockets but was not a complete set. It was missing 15 & 18 mm sockets which were the two l needed the most.

It's impossible to see the socket size engraved on the socket. Take it out in the sunlight and still impossible to read on some of the sockets. I recently bought a shallow set of impact sockets by TEKTON and you can read the socket size from across the room. I recommend the TEKTON over the Stanley for that reason alone....and I think they were a little cheaper. All from Amazon.

sizes seem way off, took 2 sizes down from 1" to make a 1", the drive insert already looks eat up after 2 jobs

I used this set with impact wrench to remove and tight the 21mm lug nuts which damage the lug nuts and got rounded edges from the first use and had the aluminum wheel scratches because of the shakes on run due to loose fit on nut. stay away from this product if you choose it from tires work.I am getting confidence now that TEKTON has nothing to do with quality after trying different products from their company.

I bought the product based on the information given as well as th gm name. I live in wisconsin so its been cokd and just had a chance to use it. It wouldn't break loose the lug nuts on my jeep. They weren't rusted and when I did get them loose by hand I used it to tighten them and I had to give them another full turn by hand. This is not a good product and I am very unhappy with it and the fact that I am passed the 30 return point.guess u got me gm.

This thing is heavy and can't even get lug nuts off of my wheel. Don't get this if you want to use it to take lug nuts off of your car. It's loud, bulky, and weak.

Day 1, out of the box it would not remove lug nuts off vehicle. Very disappointed!

Needed more power..

Do not purchase this item. Purchased 3 of these for impacting a massive quantity of 1/2 diameter bolts - a day and a half into the project, two of the impact guns will no longer operate. Invest your money elsewhere and save yourself the aggravation.

Poorly made product. One socket was out of spec. and wouldn't even fit the bolt.

Buy an 11 piece socket set, only get 10. Not happy.

The product seems fine, but instead of a 17mm socket (the most common use one for me) it came with two 16mm sockets instead. Obviously a quality issue in the packing. The quality of the product seems fine. Just frustrating to not have the correct sockets it should have.

Some of the sockets engraved markings are hard to read. The photo on Amazon makes the sockets appear to have a nice finished surface, which is also not the case. Socket 14mm appears to have a bit of a casting/forging imperfection and is not readable. Compared to my Pittsburgh SAE set, these look like a child made them. I expected something with the "Stanley" label to be a higher quality to that of it's generic counterparts. I am sure they will work, but now I wish I got the 13 piece Pittsburgh Metric set rather than this set.I own a Sunex 3680 12 Piece 3/8" Deep Drive SAE 12 Point Impact Socket Set, they deserve 5 stars and are what I expected these Stanley sockets to be on-par to (based on the photo they look of the same quality and finish).Update: I've purchased the 13 piece Pittsburgh Metric set to complement this set. The other set includes sizes 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30 and 32. The end result is 8 duplicate sockets sizes 10, 13, 14, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, three of which are common lug nut sizes. Combining these two sets to make one well rounded set is the way to go.Had this Stanley set not had poorly made 13 and 14mm sockets in my set I would have given it 4-5 stars. The rest of the sockets are ok for the price I paid.

Poor quality control. I received a set with 2 duplicates, and a size that's not even marked as supposed to be in the set. So that's 3 sizes that I don't have due to it going out the door as wrong sizes. Metric set was fine.

They shipped me used ones. They are very old and dirty. I have to clean it myself. But it still works so I don't want to waste time shipping it back. DO NOT buy it if you hate old and dirty things.

Stanley 11 pc. deep 1/2 drive impact sockets. Contained two 11/16 and no 3/4. The duplicate socket is a Husky not Stanley. Looks like Stanley dumps their mistakes on Amazon. To much trouble to return...I'll look for a 3/4 at the flea market. Should have looked there first.

These are not thin wall sockets. I returned them.

I purchased good quality, but not exotic, rims from Tire Rack and this drive lug set seemed perfect...until I used them. Given that the "flip", apparent universal design allows TEKTON to save on material, it would have been nice if they had put some of that material into making the sockets long enough to not damage rims. Instead, the lug I used chewed up parts of my brand new rims.

Not as advertised - claims to be a thin wall socket and it's not!!! Does not fit my application and the seller would not take back the item. Buyer beware, read the fine print. I've been buying on amazon for years now and this is the first seller I had an issue with who would not resolve the problem. They just lost a good customer. 👎👎👎
