Excellent!
March 21, 2016
I'm so glad I found Kirlin cables. I am in the process of updating my live rig, which means lots of new cable. I believe quality cables are just as important as your instruments, mixers, and other gear. That said, I don't think you should have to pay a fortune for them. Kirlin cables are high quality, well made, rugged, sound good, AND are a fraction of the price of brands like Mogami and Monster. I have many Mogami cables, they are great, but they are super pricey.
If you want bang for your buck, look no further.
Amazing Product Quality at a Great Price
January 28, 2016
I purchased this after buying a Behringer Xenyx 1204 USB, and noticing that I had sever static and hissing in my audio.

I used this cable to replace one of my XLR cables, and the noise went away. I was impressed enough that I went ahead and ordered more to replace the rest of my XLR cables.

If you want quality, but also want to stay frugal, this is the cable for you.
Kirlin cables good value
July 29, 2015
Seems to be good quality cable. Time will tell. Works like it should and coils up neatly. I have a couple of Kirlin guitar cables that I like and have had no problem with. I have never found the need to spend a kings ransom for any kind of cable, that goes for mic, guitar, patch, hdmi and all. I won't buy junk either. Good reviews and decent price make them my choice for purchase.
Right cable for the right job.

I needed these short cables (four of them) to patch my wireless 4-mic receiver to my mixer. I used the attached velcro wraps 6 inches apart to tie all four cables together as a mini-snake, labeled all the ends and everything looks clean and tidy... the way I like it. Solid connections, clear sound, no interference. Great purchase.
Nice Mic Cables
December 6, 2014
Really nice mic cables, especially for the cost. Tough and quiet.
Paint coating can be thick making the connectors tight at first, but no issues with operation or quality.

Good Buy

Good quality cables. Good sound production.
Price is cheaper & quality is OK...
February 24, 2017
Quality is OK compared to my 10 years-old Mogami cable (15ft). I need something longer so Kirlin serves my purpose and it is cheaper...
Excellent quality cable in the value category.
September 26, 2016
Excellent quality cable in the value category. The connectors are solid, but not as solid as the Audio-Technica's that I bought around the same time. The cable is gauged right and has good flexibility. My first choice would be Audio-Technica, second choice would be Planet Waves Classic series, and third would be these Kirlin cables. I used these the other day to hook up my powered speaker to my mixer and they worked great. Sound quality was great, too. Never heard of this cable company before, so I took a chance ordering them sight unseen. Wasn't disappointed at all. I'm curious to try their other products now. Only time will how this XLR cable will hold up.
Best for in home use
March 21, 2016
Exactly as it says. The cord is pretty thick rubber, so keep that in mind. I use it for headphones while walking and it isn't too obtrusive while not as thin as my headphone cables. Would be best for in home use.

The one end fits loosely into our speaker. I am concerned it will fall out during use.

Very nice cable, Works fine, Great price, but It is much too stiff, can't just pull the cable out across the room from a coil, need to actually roll out the cable to avoid kinks which stick up from the floor. Then it takes great care to roll back into coil for storage. Otherwise, very rugged. I will probably purchase different cables for my long runs and keep these for spares. They definitely would not be preferred for microphone because they would create a tripping hazard.

I bought this cable to connect a shotgun microphone to my camcorder. I don't know if the end part of the cable that snatch into the camcorder was defective or they made it to small or maybe too big but i couldn't get it in. I tried a different cable and it was fine. The reason I got this size is because you don't need a long cable to connect a shotgun mic to a camcorder. This has nothing to do with the seller but with the manufacturer.

Not terrible for the price
July 9, 2017
These are okay. Not terrible for the price, but I would probably go with different cables for most needs. Not a huge fan of the connectors on these...the male connectors, especially, seem to take more force than normal to "lock" into place...and one of them seems to have some signal issues. The connectors themselves feel a little "cheap" compared to the cables I typically use (from monoprice)....finish isn't as smooth. One of the connectors seems to have some weird issues connecting to the female end of a specific other XLR cable I have (only those 2 together have the issue, it's strange).I got these to patch into a MiniDSP 2x4 Balanced which just has wire terminals. so instead of buying cable, connectors and spending half my day soldering I decided to get a few of these and just slice them in half for my input/output connections. It got the job done.I like the fact that they came with Velcro straps.

Mine Bit the Big Bazooka
January 25, 2017
Seemed like a great cable. I like the black connectors. My PA is close so the 10ft is perfect. I've used it about 10 times with no problem and good results until last week's show. It sounds like the connections at the mic (male) end have bit the dust. Tested the same on 3 different mics. Had to use a beat up 10 year old 25 footer that I keep for backup. I really wanted this one to work, it's a good looking cable.
Not a great buy.
March 5, 2016
There is more of a delay in the cables that I figured there would be. A very minor incident and the wires pulled from the female end. Wired backwards so when I did a self fix, had to trial and error the red and blue. Not a great buy. Once fixed, over the course of 48 hours a noise that got louder and louder came in. Throwing it away. I take very good care of my equipment, disappointed with this.
May be okay, but not for me
August 14, 2015
This cable seems to work okay, but not good enough for me to keep it. The connectors don't latch securely with my equipment, the way all my other microphone cables do.

Handling noise, loose connection on one of the three cables
June 11, 2017
I purchased 3 of these in January 2017. One of them has proven to be defective under very light duty use. The connection on the female end became loose and made terrible noise during handling. Initially I thought it had become a bit unscrewed. Tightening the screw end did not solve the problem.

March 2, 2017
I used this maybe 4-5 times for gigs and after 5 months it began to give static and feedback through my PA for anything I tried using it with. I isolated the problem to this specific cord. Purchase at your own risk.

UPD: Used gently a couple of times for mic. Already broken, somewhere in the cord. Probably defective one. Can i have a replacement, please?

cheap manufacturing, slightly tight on every plug.
Seem like nice quality
April 24, 2017
Seem like nice quality, but the male end has to be forced to get a solid connection. And it requires way too much force to remove them afterwards. So much so that I was worried about damaging the receiver I plugged them into. These need some r&d.
Defective cable and connector too bulky for some camcorder applications.
December 16, 2013
Received this cable in my shipment today. Tried it on 2 different camcorders, a Sony NX30 and a Canon XA25. Shorts out on either camera. In addition to that, the black rubber/plastic cover over the male end made the diameter too large to fully depress the latch after it was inserted into the Canon's XLR input. It went on tight, but getting it off was nearly impossible. Get a name-brand cable and avoid the frustration. Luckily, I had a spare Audio-Technica jumper in my inventory and that worked fine....on both cameras. At the price of the Aurum cable, it's not worth the trouble to return. Sorry to be negative, but this cable gets a "fail".
