Great Buy
July 10, 2017
This mattress was purchased for my dog to sleep on. The floor gets to cold in the winter time and this mattress is just perfect. He weighs over 100 pounds and the mattress is very firm and gives him the support that he needs. I am certain that this mattress would also be everlasting for an infant growing up into a toddler bed.
Solid for 2+ years
June 4, 2017
I purchased this mattress in April of 2015, and haven't had any problems with it! No cracked covering, no smell. I was reading the reviews and debating on getting a 2nd one for my next child I'm expecting in September, and am surprised by the other reviews. I plan to get a 2nd!
2nd time purchase - still good mattress for the price
May 15, 2017
bought this mattress for the second time about 3 months ago. The first one we purchased has been in use for almost 3 years and is still in good shape. This second one we purchased has been used minimally by our newborn but appears to be the same quality.
Good mattress for the price
May 10, 2017
Good quality mattress for the price. This one started to split after 6 months but my daughter jumps up and down in her crib and this mattress isn't a trampoline, so I'd say it held up well. Good value.
Great Quality!!!
November 20, 2016
I absolutely love this mattress! It did have a new carpey smell when I first opened it, but it was gone after a day of being out of the box. I am a first time Mom, so I carefully picked this mattress. In comparison to other mattresses, I found this mattress to be softer. It's still a firm mattress and I do not believe it presents a choking hazard at all. It is well made and i believe that this product will hold up for a long time.
Our baby preferred this mattress over being held!
February 17, 2016
My son loves this mattress! We have had this mattress since birth and our little guy is now almost 2. He hated his hard crunchy bassinet mattress but was happy to move to this mattress in his crib. I would hold him and rock him before putting him in his crib until one day he pointed to his crib and I realized he preferred the crib over being held...that is how much he loves sleeping on this mattress! He sleeps a lot, 15 hours a day, so there is now a definite dent in the middle where he sleeps and we won't be able to use it for the toddler bed conversion (he is 26 lbs. at 22 months). I noticed this dent started after he reached about 24 lbs. I can't really speak to the waterproof features as we haven't had any accidents or leaks. However, I'll share a handy tip from another parent: cover the mattress in a sheet, followed by a waterproof mattress protector, then another sheet. That way, if you have a leak, you just rip off the top sheet and mattress protector and voila there is a clean sheet ready to go underneath. Even though the mattress lasted less than 2 years, I will buy it again for our next baby expected this summer.

Very comfortable sleep

Someone just commented on how soft my daughter's mattress is...definitely a comfortable sleep for the baby. I have one in my toddler's bed too!

Purchased for son & daughter in law to use for our grand children.
My son seems happy with it
February 21, 2017
My son seems happy with it. He's 7 months and seems to sleep well. He's had for a couple of months. Seems to have a good firmness and the sheet that he has is snug with the mattress. The mattress seems to be quiet and not the crinkly kind that makes noises every time you move. I know my wife is happy with our purchase. Worth the extra money. He can't talk so he can't review it himself unfortunately.

Awesome mattress. Durable and perfect weight (heavy for baby but light enough for mom to pick up)
Great mattress, great price
October 22, 2015
We've been using this mattress for over a year now, and it is still holding up great. Our son moves around a lot at night, so we haven't had the issue some reviewers talk about where the mattress develops a low spot. We've never had an issue with leaks, all wetness wipes right off and dries quickly. We will be purchasing another for our second baby who is coming soon.
Crib mattress
January 22, 2013
I bought this to replace our old Sealy crib mattress because I never saved the receipt for the warranty. Make sure if you will ever need the warranty to save the receipt. This is a much firmer mattress. The first mattress bought in 2007 went through both of my boys plus my girls for a little while. It couldn't withstand the weight of both girls anymore. They are 1 year old and 20+ pounds each. My twins sleep together on this mattress in their crib. It doesn't sag at all and in fact they seem to really like it. I'm happy if they're happy!

No smell but loud
May 28, 2017
I gave 4 stars because of how much noise the mattress makes. When my step son was sleeping in our room I was constantly waking up because he tosses and turns a lot and the mattress made a tremendous amount of noise. Unlike other reviews this mattress didn't have any odor to it. It is also very firm.
Two Years Old
February 15, 2017
We purchased this in December of 2014. Our little one did not really begin sleeping in it overnight until he was around 5 months old, so for 1.75 years now, he has been sleeping in it pretty exclusively. It has held up well, but I have noticed in the last month or so that the middle is beginning to sag. I flip the mattress over and rotate it regularly (every week alternating rotating/flipping). For the price, two years is not bad, though I would have like to get at least another year out of it before purchasing a new mattress.
Nice mattress, Great Price. Watch out for the origin of manufacture/assembly
March 9, 2016
Overall no complaints about this mattress. My only gripe is that I wanted a mattress made in the USA, which the product details state that the origin is USA, but the tag on the mattress said it was manufactured in China and assembled in Canada. It does list in the "about the product" section a line that says "imported". At first I thought this meant it was not from the USA but when I got to the product details it specifically mentioned USA, so I figured that meant a component in the mattress was imported, not that the whole mattress was imported.Just very deceiving and I wish amazon/the seller would make sure all their info is accurate.I would try to return the mattress and find another one that was made in the USA but I didn't have time as we really needed it for the crib so we could transition our son over to it as he outgrew his previous sleeping arrangement.
Light and firm but too hard for toddlers
January 22, 2016
Very lightweight and extremely hard. I have 3 little ones that are all in toddler beds and this is by far the firmest mattress we have bought. It was too hard for my toddlers so I also purchased a mattress pad topper that is specifically to add cushion (not just the waterproof ones).Great price for a lightweight, firm mattress, but we definitely needed the added cushion.
Is very lightweight so that I could carry it and install it very easily on my own
October 10, 2014
Fits perfectly in the Nursery 101 Sidney Convertible Crib. Is very lightweight so that I could carry it and install it very easily on my own. Would warn buyers that the price seems to fluctuate a lot. After doing a lot of researching I knew this was the mattress I wanted to get because of the firmness, Greenguard protection, light weight, waterproof surface and tear resistance. No other mattresses in a similar price range provided all those options. The mattress has a slight smell but not anything too strong. The second place option was Simmons Kids Beautyrest Beginnings Sleepy Whispers Ultra Deluxe 2 n 1 Crib and Toddler but the price is higher, it is not fully waterproof, more prone to tear and we don't plan to use the crib for the toddler stage. One caveat: I bought the Safety 1st Heavenly Dreams for $100+ on amazon. The item was restocked through some major retailers (Toys R Us, Diapers.com) and the price dropped down to half that amount. If the price is high and you can wait, I would wait out the price fluctuations until it comes down again.
Been using it for 3 years-- Now have to Replace it
August 20, 2014
My son is now 3 and he's been using this mattress since about 2 months old. It fit in our Delta Eclipse crib. Nice, lightweight, firm, waterproof. The plastic covering is kind of noisy, but not too bad-- although when he became old enough to express it, he complained that he didn't like his bed because it was "crunchy," and so Mommy and Daddy's bed was better than his. I put a quilt on it under the sheet, and that seemed to help. When he was 1.5 years old, it became a floor bed, and I laid on it with him for about an hour at a time at night and sometimes in the morning, for almost a year. I noticed that the mattress was getting thinner from compression, maybe because it wasn't meant for an adult. For 6 months now, he's been sleeping on it in his Eclipse crib converted to a toddler bed, and the middle of the mattress is sunken in. The plastic covering has ripped in the middle on one side, too. I'm online looking for a replacement with coils now.

It was good quality and fit great
December 6, 2016
It was good quality and fit great. Only think I would change is for it to have a thicker padding. It was rather thin.
Good value for the money, great fit, nice and firm, easy clean.
September 24, 2015
Fits perfectly into the crib, no gaps. Very firm, easy clean. So far very durable. Good value for the price. Used daily, and so far no indentations or low spots in it.
Great price, good quality
August 13, 2013
We are expecting twins in just a couple of months, so when preparing for our little ones, we are not only trying to get great quality but also trying to save a little as well with having to buy 2 of most things. I researched mattresses for several weeks, going back in forth trying to make up my mind. When I read the reviews on this mattress on Amazon and also on store websites, I was very impressed and the price was very resonable. I had read other reviews that there was a smell on the mattress when received, however this was not the case for us and we bought 2. Even though our little ones arent here yet, we are very pleased so far. The mattress fits as snug as bug in the cribs and is very light for changing mattress pad and sheets. If you want a good quality mattress at a fair price, this is the route to go!
Didn't like at first...
July 25, 2013
I choose this based on reviews and price. When I first received the item, I intended to ship it back right away. It seemed soft and airy and not likely to withstand anything heavy over time. I was livid! But, I was too busy putting together baby crib and other accessories to make time for a return.I then decided to try it out in the crib. I even put baby on it & bounced her around a bit while observing her comfort. She like it, mattress took her bounce ver well. I decided to keep the thing. Weeks later baby fell asleep in her carseat, yes I put the big carseat on the mattress. She usually co-sleep with me, but this was the first time she slept anywhere besides next to me! Anyhow, the darn mattress held up so well! Took the weight of the baby & carseat like a champ...lol.Hope this helps. It does feel a bit "airy", but it's firm & strong enough. Get it on sale.
Good basic crib mattress
March 22, 2013
This mattress is a good buy. It meets the needs of a newborn/toddler. I don't know that it will last a lifetime, but you are not paying that much. Newborns especially don't need anything too fancy and this does the job. My product was true to size and fits snuggly against the crib edges. It is fairly firm as a crib mattress should be. The mattress I had with my first child had the "advertised benefit" of two sides - one for newborn and one for toddler and supposedly slightly different feels to those sides. I don't remember that really being necessary or worth the extra money. I would recommend this basic mattress even if you got a super fancy crib!
Good Value, mild smell
January 30, 2013
Having twins on the way, I was in the market for 2 mattresses, so budget was limited. Lots of research and store visits to find the best mattress, sub $100. Very happy with the firmness and support of this mattress. As other posters have mentioned, it's firm, but not rock hard like some firm mattresses. It is interesting to note, and maybe this happened to some reviewers who said it was too soft, but if you feel the mattresses standing up it feels softer than when it is lying on the ground. Lying on the ground gives the mattresses the full support and there is a noticeable difference in the perception of firmness. My only concern, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, the mild vinyl smell coming from the mattress once removed from it's plastic bag. I'm having twins, so I get the pleasure of comparing 2 of everything, and both mattresses have this smell. If this dissipates over the next week, I'll update with an additional star because it seems like a great mattress. However, as a product designer, it boggles my mind how you market green certifications and a baby mattress, but select materials that smell when 1st pulled from the package and therefore needlessly cause me to question if I'm harming my newborns. Even if this is harmless and does dissipate over time, it seems counter-intuitive to the perception you're trying to give parents of a super-safe product for a new baby.Note on construction spring vs. foam. I opted for spring because my 2 year-old has a spring and it has held up very well over the years. While never trying foam, I was worried about the potential indentations over time and their ability to hold up, especially at the cheaper price points, but have no basis for that belief except for the varying reviews I've found online...

Terrible cover material ages product
October 6, 2017
I bought two of these in Sep of 2015. My sons didn’t start to use them until approx June of 2016. In a little over a year the covers to both mattresses have cracked open and bat broke off. The sheets kept my children from eating any of these pieces, but did not prevent urine from soaking into the mattress. So if you do but this mattress make sure you purchase good sheets that won’t pop off when your toddler jumps on it, and a really good mattress pad that will stay in place as well. Otherwise you’re going to find a giant urine sponge if your child’s diaper leaks.and let’s be honest, they WILL leak 😫As far as the mattress itself, it wasn’t anything to write home about, but it was the right size and the kids slept well enough on it.
Prices goes up and down VERY often!!!
June 25, 2017
I wonder why..? This is a good product but clearly not the best. However you can get it listed sometimes for $32 instead of $57 that's what I pad for the first one for my other kid. So my recommendation if you want to try this mattress, add to your baby registry and check daily the price fluctuation...you might be really surprised! Good luck!!!
Perfect price and nice quality!// Fair quality, 3/5 stars
October 3, 2016
So far, the cover is doing great against any leaks, spills or potential stains! Wipes clean easily, fits in the crib great!Update: 6/25/2017Months ago the cover started to crack and crumble off. Not a huge deal, because I think you can just replace the cover? Was hoping to get in touch with manufacturer but no such luck.
Mattress Sinks and Vinyl Ripped after 2 years
November 11, 2015
I purchased this mattress just over 2 years ago for my now 27month old daughter. I hadn't experienced any problems with the mattress until recently, I noticed my daughter was "sinking" into the middle of her crib. I took her out of the crib, pulled the sheets up and noticed the vinyl had ripped clear across the middle of the mattress. It is supposedly "tear resistant", so I am not sure why this has happened. We used a mattress cover while she was in her spit-up infant days, and only removed it recently because it was so loud when my daughter moved in her sleep. It never went through any jumping or excessive bed-wetting. I don't know if the mattress started to sag first then the vinyl ripped or vice versa...Mattresses are supposed to last longer than this. The warranty just recently expired, so looks like I'm in the market for a new mattress :\ (Glad I purchased it when it was only $39!)
Does NOT fit Ikea Gulliver Crib snugly
December 15, 2014
I bought this mattress for a Ikea Gulliver crib. Although there were some reviews that said it did not fit snugly there were enough reviews saying it did that I bought it. One review said something about it fitting nicely at first and then having a gap at one end which is what happened to us. It seemed to fit fine at first but after just a day or two and it seeming to get settled in the crib there is a 2-3 inch gap at the end. Since my son is older I just stuffed a blanket in the gap and will continue to use it but wanted to share. I'm not sure how other people are saying it fits perfectly because it definitely does not. Its a good mattress and a great deal for the price but if you are looking for a good fit for an ikea crib this is NOT the mattress for you.
fits too tight
October 29, 2014
We have the DaVinci Kalani 4-in-1 Convertible Crib with Toddler Rail. This mattress fits really really tight. You can barely put a finger in between the crib and the mattress which is good for safety, not so good for putting on a mattress waterproof pad and sheets.I already know that i'm going to have issues during nights when my baby wets the crib, calming a baby, having to take the whole mattress out in order to be able to change the sheets... and of course, the bumper too because there is no way the mattress is coming out with the bumper in place.

Little bit disappointed.
September 21, 2017
It is not that firm as I expected. Little bit disappointed.
Not sure about it but fine for now -
July 17, 2014
We like the mattress but it does show already where baby lies after 3-4 months. We thought that was kind of weird??It is not that he is sinking into the mattress, but you just see where the mattress already gives in.Dont know if this mattress will hold out until he moves into the big bed.So not sure if I should recommend this mattress.
Balloons
January 22, 2014
Was looking for a softer mattress for my toddler. The plastic waterproof cover didn't bother me as much in terms of making too much noise. The problem is when baby lays Down, the air displaces but has nowhere to go as there are no vents. So the other side balloons up. Not comfy. Going to return. Will be better off getting a mattress with a breathable shell and get a waterproof cover.
Just ok
January 1, 2014
I bought this mattress for a second crib because my toddler wasn't ready to give his crib up when the baby #2 came along. So I didn't invest in this mattress like I did my first baby's mattress, and you can really tell. I wouldn't want to sleep on something so mushy and plastic-y feeling, but my baby doesn't seem to mind it too much. It definitely needs a mattress pad. If I had planned on my baby sleeping on this mattress through his crib/toddler bed years, then I would be looking to replace it with something better. It's fine for a little while until I transition my older child to a big bed and my baby can use his crib.
Our son seems happy
May 31, 2013
This doesn't feel as firm as I would have liked, but it is firm enough to be safe and our son has no complaints with it. And at least I don't feel the springs poking through when I lay on it. It fits the standard crib well. It is pretty light weight for lifting to change the sheets. However, the first time we put it in our crib, the plastic lining caught on the chain support in our crib and ripped. Of course my husband was pulling on it to get it uncaught, but this was disappointing. We have continued to use it even with the rip and it works just fine.
Its just OK
April 23, 2013
It looks like its a comfy matress for the baby. It is water/stain proof. I do like the fact that the pattern/color is whiteish so that I can use my white and other light colored crib sheets without having a matress pattern show through (which is the case with the 2nd baby matress that I got as a gift). I have been using this mattress for a year now and it does not show any wear or tear and think that it could last for several more years. That being said I am replacing it with one that is made of organic cotton cause some of the concerns that have resurfaced over time with the chemicals used for the vinyl cover in this one, I rather be safe than sorry.

No great
July 11, 2017
The mattress is already starting to bow, and has only been used by a newborn for a month. And, the top of the mattress has weird marks where she has spit up. Just not great quality and will not last.
QUESTIONABLE QUALITY
April 15, 2017
The cover on this mattress appears to be vinyl but it is VERY thin and cracks very easily. I ordered two of these and the cover on both cracked -- one after only 13 days.
Not high quality, falling apart after one year of use
July 1, 2016
This mattress worked well for our infant/toddler for a little over a year. He is not by any means a big boy but the mattress cover started tearing after only a year of use. We even flipped it when changing sheets to prevent excessive wear on either side. Now there is a giant hole in the cover right in the middle of the mattress so it is no longer waterproof or dust mite proof. It also sags noticeably in the center where he sleeps and is clearly not providing good support anymore. We had hoped to use this mattress for several years at least but now we'll have to purchase a new one.
It shrunk over time and is now not safe.
January 16, 2016
As most first time parents do, I bought this before my little babe was even born yet. I have had it ready to go in her room for about 8 months now. She has yet to sleep on it, as I was keeping her in her co-sleeper until she was 6 months. When I went to start using her crib a week ago, I realized the mattress is too small! I could have swore I triple checked the size initially because safety is so important! The only conclusion I came to is that the mattress had shrunk, but I thought I must have just had pregnancy brain when purchasing it because I didn't think that was possible. I came on Amazon to read reviews and sure enough, this has happened to other people as well! Because of the material of the mattress, the fitted sheet made the mattress shrink. Now we have to go buy a new one and our daughter didn't even use this once! We have a standard size crib, so having purchased a standard sized mattress, this shouldn't be an issue.. So disappointed.
Too small for crib, doesn't last, having to replace after 2 yrs
October 9, 2015
With our first baby I was super picky and way over the top reading reviews and over thinking everything. With our second baby, we were more relaxed and after reading these reviews I decided this mattress fit our needs and budget and would do just fine. If I had it to do over, I would not buy this mattress again. My 4 yr old still sleeps on her higher-quality crib mattress (in toddler bed) and it's still in fairly good condition. My 2 yr old has this Safety First Heavenly Dreams mattress and it's in really sad condition already! Cons- much more flimsy than typical mattress, sagging in middle, not as supportive, does NOT fit tightly in our Jenny Lind crib. Pros- the support was fine when she was a baby, and we improved the overall fit by placing her bedding bumper low so there was less room for the mattress, making a tight fit. It made changing sheets a challenge but it was ok. We removed bumpers when she was about 15mo and I was shocked by the amount of space, a good 1.5-2 inches of gap between the end of the mattress and the crib. This would be an ok mattress if you need it for short term but otherwise invest a little more for something better. My little one will be in her crib another year then convert to toddler bed for a few years, so now we are shopping for another crib mattress at 2 yrs old (seems ridiculous). Her crib was purchased new and its a popular design, so the sizing problem is not her crib.
Great in the beginning but then downhill.
February 1, 2015
Great in the beginning but after about 18 months of use the outer layer starting cracking. Now we're at 21 months and the cracks have got worse, the outer material is flaking off and holes are starting. Quite disappointing, I was expecting this matress to last through toddler bed until we get a twin/full. Preparing to purchase a replacement. I wondered if the life expectancy of crib/toddler matresses is really that short but the replacement I am considering has a 10 year warranty (this product doesn't have warranty - at least I couldn't find it). Oh, and I have twins. This issue is with both mattresses, so I do not believe its isolated to a defective product.

Dissapointed with Sealy
December 28, 2015
Light weight and not firm at all. Edge is especially soft. Did not bother to try it out and returned it.
I have used Seally in the past and they have been great, but this model is not working for us
July 14, 2015
Mattress does not hold it's shape. My (average size) baby leaves a dent where his head is that does not allow him to rollover, which in turn wakes him up. I have used Seally in the past and they have been great, but this model is not working for us. Baby wakes up every two hours and is obviously uncomfortable.
Hard, dented, plastic, uncomfortable
November 2, 2014
Its quite hard... but somehow there is a dent in the place where the baby sleeps... and the LO is less than 10pounds and barely sleeps on it (because its very hard).... im now hunting for a mattress pad for this... and seriously considering returning it... except that the effort involved in returning is just too much!!!the cover feels like plastic like the other reviewers mentioned... and given the possibility of wetting the crib mattress being so low, the waterproof mattress is not really an attraction...wish I had known that before...
Almost got 2 years out of it.
August 26, 2014
The baby will be 2 next month and we've loved this mattress for him. However I have noticed the plastic cover has become a little brittle and sharp on the rolled edges. Suddenly, I see a crack in the mattress plastic. I'm guessing we won't be able to use it as a daybed mattress when the crib is not needed. :(
I'd pass if I were you...
November 12, 2013
Has a plastic smell that lingers that baby should not inhale each night. Fits Graco Lauren Crib ok. A little too much space in the corners since the corners of the mattress are slightly rounded. It is firm but as another rater stated, it feels almost like a blowup air mattress! Also, as others have stated, even after just a couple of weeks use, the mattress is getting permanent divots where baby sleeps. I am looking for a better mattress for my crib and will return if I find another mattress that fits the crib.
Mattress sags
October 2, 2013
After several months of use I noticed that there was a baby-sized divot in the mattress. My child is petite but even if she were a chunker I'd want the mattress to keep it's shape. It fits the crib well (Graco Lauren) and I haven't had any other complaints but this mattress certainly won't be used for a second child.

Not worth the savings
August 9, 2017
We've had this mattress about 10 months now. It was compressed and sagging and losing shape within 4-5 months. I also did not find it to be great for a newborn. We had a previous mattress with an infant side and a toddler side from my older child, and we ended up giving my newborn the dual sided mattress because I was concerned with how soft this mattress was. Also, we have the same exact crib for both children, and the mattress we had before we bought this one fits much more snug. This mattress doesn't seem to fit as snag, although I would not say there was a huge gap.I would not buy again.
Choking hazard. Deteriorated after 8 months
December 10, 2016
Bought this mattress in March 2016 and by November noticed it was tearing and coming apart. As far as I can tell the bits and pieces stayed beneath the crib sheet. Very worried my LO may have swallowed some pieces.Tried to contact the manufacturer, but can't find a phone number.
Will Shrink And Sag In No Time
March 15, 2016
The mattress fit my baby's crib snugly when it first arrived. Now after six months, the length of the mattress has shrunk to where I can fit my hand sideways between the top of the mattress and side of the crib like many others have noted in their reviews. My son has only been sleeping on the mattress for about a month and it seems to be losing its firmness also. Will be looking for a new mattress.
Caused my daughter to have respiratory illness due to mold inside
February 1, 2016
Once I got this mattress, I wrote in because the smell was very chemical like and awful, I kept the sheet off of it and let it air out for a few days before I could use it. I wrote in to complain and ask about this when I first got it and they said it was normal. After a couple months of my daughter sleeping on this, she started getting non stop respiratory infections. I did some research and was steered to the possibility of the mattress causing these issues. When unzipping this mattress I found a bunch of black specks that look like mold. I have taken this off my daughter's crib and replaced it with a different mattress and hope to see my daughter feel better soon. When I tried writing to the distributor, DHPFurniture, that responded to my issues back in April, I found that the phone number and email address were no longer valid. I am not able to return this mattress and have no insight to a resolution from Amazon. I have purchased my new mattress from BabiesRUs hoping for a different outcome.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
August 29, 2015
This mattress is going back. The only good thing that I liked about this mattress was how light it is. When it arrived I could pick the mattress up with one hand. When I opened the box and squeezed the mattress I could literally crush both side of the mattress in. I then proceeded to bend the mattress in half. This is not something that I want to be able to do or think it should do. I then proceeded to put crib sheets on the mattress which caused the mattress to bow. Finally I tested it for length in the crib and it was too long...it bowed inside of the crib as well. I am extremely disappointed with this product.
BEWARE-TOO SHORT FOR STANDARD SIZE CRIBS: NOT 52.5 INCHES

Shocked that this got such great reviews. Advertised as 52.5 inches in length, it is 49 inches and does NOT fit our standard size crib. It is too short of either side. I could almost fit his entire hand between the mattress and the end of the crib. Incredibly disappointed.

Too soft
August 26, 2017
Way too soft for a newborn. When you place your hand down on it, it balloons out around your hand. Too dangerous. Not as firm as comparable mattresses. It had all the best reviews and tests listed, but in person it just was not firm enough or have enough air flow.
Loud plastic cover-sending it back
November 29, 2016
I cannot believe it had good reviews. I received it today my husband was putting in on the crib when i heard the plastic. Is hard plastic on top, loud, it would crnkle and wake baby everytime. I will return immediately and buy memory foam one. I am dissapointed for the waste of time and also i used my baby registry discount.
Not Safe For Baby
September 23, 2015
I really liked that this was highly-rated and had a Greenguard certification. I had to return the first one I purchased because after two months of an infant lying on it, it had formed a deep ridge in the center on both sides. You can see it in my picture, even without any weight on it. It was much worse with the weight of a baby on it. When my son started rolling, he often couldn't roll out of the middle. Not safe at all. I called Sealy to see how they could address my concerns and I was informed that this product is not manufactured by Sealy at all. This is made by Kolcraft. After calling to speak with them, they agreed to send a replacement. The replacement mattress, unfortunately, has the same issues as the first. After calling Kolcraft again and persistently explaining the safety concerns of a sagging crib mattress, they will only send another of the same mattress. They refused to refund me, said they had "done me a favor" by sending me the first replacement, and that the ridge in the center "isn't really that bad" and that this sort of thing is normal for any crib mattress. When I'm looking for a firm, safe surface for my baby to sleep on, something that "isn't really that bad" is not acceptable. I finally called Amazon and their customer service department was amazing. They agreed to a refund and I will be returning this mattress and finding something else.
Disappointing

Terrible quality. After only two month of use there is an indentation on it! My baby is only 11 lbs!! Besides, it feels very plasticy... Don't buy!
Very Disappointed
April 20, 2014
I rarely write negative reviews but I felt this one was necessary because it pertains to a mattress for babies. I appreciate any and all reviews when considering an item for my baby. This is just my experience and I know it's helpful to me to get as much feedback as possible when purchasing something as important as your infant's mattress. I did lots of research and it seemed that this is a firm mattress, which is what infants need. That was one of my top priorities when buying our baby's mattress. I finally decided on this one after reading many good reviews and reading the specs of the mattress. It seemed that it surpassed the minimum coils recommended and I thought that meant this mattress would hold up well. Unfortunately, within two days of my 4 month (15 pound) baby using it, it already had a dent right where we lay her down. I decided to keep using it and now after about 3 weeks the dent in the middle makes the mattress unusable. It's very disappointing and frustrating because now we need to rush to find a new one since I would not trust letting my child sleep on this one any longer. It's just not safe for a baby that turns and can get stuck in the crevice this (supposed-to-be) "firm" mattress now has.
Didn't last a week...

My husband and I did a ton of research before buying a mattress for our first baby. We ended up buying the Sealy Firm Rest because it had great reviews and was reasonably priced. Our son weighed about 9 lbs when he started sleeping in his crib at night. After only 1 week of use there was a very noticeable indention where he laid. We were very disappointed in the quality of this mattress and frustrated that now we had to go out and buy a new one.
