I bought this double pack so I could double up sheets in case there is an accident and I can just rip the first layer off and put the baby back down asap. They fit the crib mattress wonderfully and they aren't so thick that the second layer was hard to put on. So far, so good. Can't wait to see how they hold up after first accident. Great Mattress Cover March 25, 2017 When our large dog had a leg injury and could jump up on the couch, I purchased a baby mattress so he'd have something comfortable to lay on, on the floor. My smaller dog likes to pee in the house sometimes and the mattress was a huge temptation. I purchased this waterproof cover and it has saved the mattress on several occasions. After all the reading and researching I picked this one because it was the best for my budget. Affordable, firm, fits the crib well and baby seems to sleep just fine on it. Easy to change the sheets January 23, 2012 We wanted a mattress with a waterproof/wet proof cover so we wouldn't have to worry about always changing the sheets and the mattress cover. Also this prevents mold and mildew from forming in the mattress over time due to accidents. This mattress is exactly what we were looking for. It easily wipes clean when there's a diaper leak or spit-up, and it's very light weight which makes it much easier to change the sheets. The only negative, We've already noticed an indentation where his head and bottom are, so I flipped it over to prevent it from wearing too much in one area. Our son is 6 months old and he's only been sleeping on it for about 3 months. Other than that it's a good quality mattress. I'm not sure why the price difference exists.I ordered this mattress mainly because I love how light the foam mattresses are. I bought a different brand for my first child and it is light as a feather....so easy to change the sheets and pull in and out of the crib, even overnight for those emergency changes.We moved and I no longer had access to buy the same mattress for my second child. I ended up buying this one. It is heavier than the first mattress I bought, but still MUCH lighter than a traditional mattress. I like the square corners and the mattress pad and sheets I have fit well.Even though the description said it takes an additional 2-3 days for processing, this was not the case. I think it arrived on my doorstop within just two days of placing the order. |

Three Star Reviews: | 5% Does the job August 7, 2017 Frayed out after first wash and it's not smooth anymore. I put another cotton smooth fitted sheet on top of it.However; it's a very good water-proof sheet and it does the job. Not worth the money August 2, 2017 When the pad arrived 2 days ago I was excited for it. However a couple things convinced me this was only worth 3 stars. First, the elastic around the edge is not very strong. I mean both in how tightly it wraps the pad around the mattress and the quality of the elastic. Honestly, the elastic doesn't look like it will last the 2 years we need it to. Secondly, I put it in the washer and dryer when it arrived and it came out looking kinda gross. It seemed it had caught every loose strand of hair and lint in the load and velcroed it to the top layer. Also, the top layered had "pilled" quite a bit and looked raggedy. I will probably return it and buy a better quality one. Two Star Reviews: | 3% Plastic feeling and not as soft as the organic kind September 29, 2017 A stomach bug hit our house and I realized I didn’t have enough mattress covers. I needed several more in a hurry, and I wrongly assumed that this product was the same as our other ones (American Baby Company Waterproof Quilted Crib Size Fitted Mattress Cover made with Organic Cotton, Natural Color), except not made with organic cotton, so cheaper. That was not true - these are thinner and feel very plastic-y, where the others are soft and more cushioned. They have several layers and are more breathable. It seems like these would protect your mattress fine, but I’ll be returning them because they seem uncomfortable. Very soft BUT.... July 19, 2017 Started pilling the very first time I washed it. The material it's covered with is basically too soft and each time I wash it it looks messier and messier. If I don't brush it with my pill- remover every single time it creates an uneven sleeping surface under my baby's crib sheets. I just ordered a different mattress pad and plan on tucking this one in the back of the drawer for emergencies only. Since our baby loved sleeping on our foam mattress, I thought we'd get a foam core mattress for her crib. We didn't expect the vinyl cover to be so hard. For a bed that was so hard, it still sagged in the middle where we needed to put a piece of plywood under the mattress to keep her from rolling face down into the middle. It's a chore to get her to sleep in her own crib, no matter how many crib covers we put on it. We've had to resort to getting a foam overlay which seems to make her a little happier. Very hard November 8, 2011 The mattress is very hard, but flimsy on the outside. It fell through the toddler bed, when the toddler bed supported only three inches around the border of the mattress. Too stinky for me! June 18, 2011 I bought this thinking that passing an indoor air quality standard would mean that it didn't smell. I was wrong.
