I really love this well-made robust mattress
March 3, 2016
I really love this well-made robust mattress, after failing with Sealy. First I bought Sealy mattress for my baby girl, but it wasn't firm at all. It was way too soft, my daughter couldn't even turn her body when she was 3-4 months old. (even though I used the infant side, not the toddler side). That mattress was just too plush for a baby. So, I changed the mattress to this one (Simmons), and she finally could turn successfully, since there is much more support in the mattress! Much firmer, much more support, much heavier. I feel a lot more secure with this one. I regret I didn't buy this one from the beginning. This is my second purchase for my next little one.
This mattress saved my sanity
January 25, 2015
It might be a coincidence, but our baby is finally taking naps and almost sleeping through the night now that we've swapped out her brother's hand-me-down mattress for this one. She isn't waking herself up when she moves in her sleep, and she settles into bed without a screaming fit when we first lay her down. I inspected the mattress thoroughly before putting it in her crib and found none of the tears mentioned in other reviews. Also, there is not a chemical new mattress odor. I am most happy that the mattress fits snugly in her crib and is soft to the touch, but firm under pressure. I highly recommend this crib mattress!
Absolutely the greatest Mattress
June 2, 2014
This is a great mattress and I was so impressed with how it looks and feels. Quite heavy, not like the cheaper mattresses they had when I had my babies, 30 years ago and I wondered why my babies didn't won't to sleep at night in their crib.LOL! Our grand baby is not here yet but this mattress I know is going to be so comfortable he will not have trouble sleeping. On one side this mattress is a little harder for newborns so they don't get their little nose pressed down in the mattress and suffocate and its a little softer on the other side so it is comfortable for a growing toddler. Love it!
Fantastic Quality!
June 2, 2014
This baby mattress may be the best mattress in our house! The quality is far superior to that of others we have shopped for and even the one we had for our first son which we thought was decent (at about 25 lbs/18 months it started to fail). I foresee this mattress lasting longer without sagging as it is very well made. One side is slightly firmer which is what you want for your growing youngster especially if you plan to use or convert into a toddler bed using this mattress. We are very pleased with this purchase!
Excellent mattress
April 28, 2014
I originally ordered an organic mattress from Sears and was very unhappy with it, to the extent that I returned it. The first night my baby slept on it, there was an indent from his body - not what you want! I then ordered this mattress and was very pleased with it. It has a high coil count so there's no body indentation. My baby can roll around on it comfortably and I don't need to worry about him suffocating if he's on his tummy. I haven't tried out the toddler side yet but it seems softer to the touch. I also love the cloth covering. I dislike the plastic covered mattresses because they seem to crack quickly but this one offers the flexibility of fabric with some protection against moisture. Lastly, this was on sale so the value is excellent. All in all, both my son and I are happy with this mattress!

I did research for over a week for the right mattress... The wife wasn't happy because the crib sat empty for a week, but I was happy because of my purchase. We have only had it a couple weeks. But here is why the 5 stars:Smell: No chemical smell. This was very important to me. I have a sensitive nose, and I also hate chemicals. So my nose was the first thing to touch the mattress - creepy but true.Firmness/weight/durability: very well constructed and heavy. Not cheap and very firm... I didn't notice a huge difference at all between the 2sides. If you want a memory foam mattress then go buy one, but this is not it.Material: I originally was going to buy an organic mattress but I heard they smell like pure chemicals, so after much research this is the BEST available nonorganic mattress when looking for few chemicals. I obviously chose this over an organic mattress because I listened to the reviews and I'm glad I did.Best bang for the buck right here!****UPDATE: between 4-6 weeks of use, the edge of one seam started to give way. There is now a tear 5 inches in length because of poor craftsmanship - I will be contacting the manufacturer today and will update this comment accordingly.****UPDATE: I wrote an email to customer service. I requested an RA, took very detailed images of the defective mattress, showed proof of purchase, and requested a new mattress per Simmons defect guarantee/warranty. I received a response email within 2 days with the gentleman's direct contact info (customer service contact info is on the Simmons card included with the mattress - don't bother looking online as you may get confused). I had a new mattress at my door within 5-6 days of the response email. I carefully looked over the new mattress. There are 2 air vents on each of the long sides of the mattress. 1 of the 4 vents had the material starting to come out around the vent, but I took a think object and slid it back underneath. The edging - where the original mattress came apart - is not the best! But for the price, you cant beat it - so I am leaving the 5 stars and would definitely recommend this to everyone (the edge stitching looks to be single thread - another go around with the stitch and I think this mattress is perfect).Great customer service! Turned a seemingly poor experience into a very pleasant one[sorry for the length]

Great Buy
July 10, 2017
This mattress was purchased for my dog to sleep on. The floor gets to cold in the winter time and this mattress is just perfect. He weighs over 100 pounds and the mattress is very firm and gives him the support that he needs. I am certain that this mattress would also be everlasting for an infant growing up into a toddler bed.
Solid for 2+ years
June 4, 2017
I purchased this mattress in April of 2015, and haven't had any problems with it! No cracked covering, no smell. I was reading the reviews and debating on getting a 2nd one for my next child I'm expecting in September, and am surprised by the other reviews. I plan to get a 2nd!
2nd time purchase - still good mattress for the price
May 15, 2017
bought this mattress for the second time about 3 months ago. The first one we purchased has been in use for almost 3 years and is still in good shape. This second one we purchased has been used minimally by our newborn but appears to be the same quality.
Good mattress for the price
May 10, 2017
Good quality mattress for the price. This one started to split after 6 months but my daughter jumps up and down in her crib and this mattress isn't a trampoline, so I'd say it held up well. Good value.
Great Quality!!!

I absolutely love this mattress! It did have a new carpey smell when I first opened it, but it was gone after a day of being out of the box. I am a first time Mom, so I carefully picked this mattress. In comparison to other mattresses, I found this mattress to be softer. It's still a firm mattress and I do not believe it presents a choking hazard at all. It is well made and i believe that this product will hold up for a long time.
Our baby preferred this mattress over being held!
February 17, 2016
My son loves this mattress! We have had this mattress since birth and our little guy is now almost 2. He hated his hard crunchy bassinet mattress but was happy to move to this mattress in his crib. I would hold him and rock him before putting him in his crib until one day he pointed to his crib and I realized he preferred the crib over being held...that is how much he loves sleeping on this mattress! He sleeps a lot, 15 hours a day, so there is now a definite dent in the middle where he sleeps and we won't be able to use it for the toddler bed conversion (he is 26 lbs. at 22 months). I noticed this dent started after he reached about 24 lbs. I can't really speak to the waterproof features as we haven't had any accidents or leaks. However, I'll share a handy tip from another parent: cover the mattress in a sheet, followed by a waterproof mattress protector, then another sheet. That way, if you have a leak, you just rip off the top sheet and mattress protector and voila there is a clean sheet ready to go underneath. Even though the mattress lasted less than 2 years, I will buy it again for our next baby expected this summer.

This is a good bed. I had purchased a different bed that was $20 cheaper first, when that bed needed replaced i got this one. The quality of this bed is astounding. They used good materials and constructed it well
Definitely firm, even on the 'soft' side of the mattress
August 10, 2017
Bought for my 3 year old, but it was too firm for him, so I traded it with our 1 year old's mattress and they both seem happy. :) Definitely ok for the little guy, but our 3 year old found it too firm, even on the 'softer' side. Was hoping it would help him sleep better/stay in bed...no luck :) Seems to be good quality, especially for the price.
Good for the price.

Reasonably priced. Good quality. Reversible to a toddler mattress. Read the description for the best information.
Love these mattresses
March 6, 2017
The baby isn't here yet so I am not 100% sure about it. I bought a BeautyRest for my son when he was a baby and it had the side vents as well so when I seen this one, I figured it was the same or updated version. I was kind of taken aback when I opened it and it felt more like fabric covering it than your waterproof plastic type covering. I am a little nervous about the waterproof ability of this. Hoping it holds up in that aspect. Besides that, the mattress seems just as comfortable as my sons did. There are two sides, the firmer side meant for babies (it is recommended that they don't sleep on anything really soft) and then the reverse toddler side that is softer. It's a big mattress, which is what I remember about my sons as well. It still fit our standard sized Graco Benton crib that we bought. I haven't put sheets on it yet but I would recommend looking for toddler sheets instead of just sheets that state for the crib. While there is not much difference in size, past experience has shown that the ones that include the label "toddler" are so much easier to put on. Whatever mattress you choose, go with the most or higher coil count. This makes so much more of a difference than you could know. I had a crib that came with a mattress and my son hated it. I looked it up and it had maybe 75 coils in it. It literally folded itself in half when we stood it up outside of the mattress.
What a genius mattress!
August 19, 2015
This is a very nice crib/toddler mattress. The infant side is very firm, which is recommended for safety reasons. Other crib mattresses my babies have used always bowed where the baby slept, I had my youngest son lay down on the mattress and it did not. I think it's genius to make a mattress that will extend the use. When my baby gets big enough I will be able to just flip it over for a much softer feel. I recommend a mattress protector since the material seems like it would easily absorb fluids..
Good deal, very firm
November 15, 2013
Good deal, similar to a mattress sold at TRU but significantly cheaper. The mattress if very firm, on both sides even though one side is slightly softer for toddler use. I stomped on it a bit to make it a little softer as this is being used for a toddler who is not in danger of suffocating himself in the mattress.

No smell but loud
May 28, 2017
I gave 4 stars because of how much noise the mattress makes. When my step son was sleeping in our room I was constantly waking up because he tosses and turns a lot and the mattress made a tremendous amount of noise. Unlike other reviews this mattress didn't have any odor to it. It is also very firm.
Two Years Old
February 15, 2017
We purchased this in December of 2014. Our little one did not really begin sleeping in it overnight until he was around 5 months old, so for 1.75 years now, he has been sleeping in it pretty exclusively. It has held up well, but I have noticed in the last month or so that the middle is beginning to sag. I flip the mattress over and rotate it regularly (every week alternating rotating/flipping). For the price, two years is not bad, though I would have like to get at least another year out of it before purchasing a new mattress.
Nice mattress, Great Price. Watch out for the origin of manufacture/assembly
March 9, 2016
Overall no complaints about this mattress. My only gripe is that I wanted a mattress made in the USA, which the product details state that the origin is USA, but the tag on the mattress said it was manufactured in China and assembled in Canada. It does list in the "about the product" section a line that says "imported". At first I thought this meant it was not from the USA but when I got to the product details it specifically mentioned USA, so I figured that meant a component in the mattress was imported, not that the whole mattress was imported.Just very deceiving and I wish amazon/the seller would make sure all their info is accurate.I would try to return the mattress and find another one that was made in the USA but I didn't have time as we really needed it for the crib so we could transition our son over to it as he outgrew his previous sleeping arrangement.
Light and firm but too hard for toddlers
January 22, 2016
Very lightweight and extremely hard. I have 3 little ones that are all in toddler beds and this is by far the firmest mattress we have bought. It was too hard for my toddlers so I also purchased a mattress pad topper that is specifically to add cushion (not just the waterproof ones).Great price for a lightweight, firm mattress, but we definitely needed the added cushion.
Is very lightweight so that I could carry it and install it very easily on my own
October 10, 2014
Fits perfectly in the Nursery 101 Sidney Convertible Crib. Is very lightweight so that I could carry it and install it very easily on my own. Would warn buyers that the price seems to fluctuate a lot. After doing a lot of researching I knew this was the mattress I wanted to get because of the firmness, Greenguard protection, light weight, waterproof surface and tear resistance. No other mattresses in a similar price range provided all those options. The mattress has a slight smell but not anything too strong. The second place option was Simmons Kids Beautyrest Beginnings Sleepy Whispers Ultra Deluxe 2 n 1 Crib and Toddler but the price is higher, it is not fully waterproof, more prone to tear and we don't plan to use the crib for the toddler stage. One caveat: I bought the Safety 1st Heavenly Dreams for $100+ on amazon. The item was restocked through some major retailers (Toys R Us, Diapers.com) and the price dropped down to half that amount. If the price is high and you can wait, I would wait out the price fluctuations until it comes down again.
Been using it for 3 years-- Now have to Replace it
August 20, 2014
My son is now 3 and he's been using this mattress since about 2 months old. It fit in our Delta Eclipse crib. Nice, lightweight, firm, waterproof. The plastic covering is kind of noisy, but not too bad-- although when he became old enough to express it, he complained that he didn't like his bed because it was "crunchy," and so Mommy and Daddy's bed was better than his. I put a quilt on it under the sheet, and that seemed to help. When he was 1.5 years old, it became a floor bed, and I laid on it with him for about an hour at a time at night and sometimes in the morning, for almost a year. I noticed that the mattress was getting thinner from compression, maybe because it wasn't meant for an adult. For 6 months now, he's been sleeping on it in his Eclipse crib converted to a toddler bed, and the middle of the mattress is sunken in. The plastic covering has ripped in the middle on one side, too. I'm online looking for a replacement with coils now.

May 5, 2017
The mattress is ok. But my daughter doesn't really like it. It's also very heavy, so it's really hard to change bed sheets. It is a pretty firm crib mattress compare to the other ones in the market. I would say it's just ok.
Was happy until....
November 3, 2016
I bought this for my infant grand daughter and after changing the sheets for the second time we noticed the side seam had split like mentioned in the reviews.
Not impressed
April 12, 2015
Bought this mattress planning to just use the toddler side. It is VERY firm. Was quite surprised. At first I thought I might have it on the wrong side, but nope. We have only had it a week and no complaints so far from the peanut gallery, but it won't shock me if we do. The craftsmanship also doesn't seem that great. Can't imagine buying this mattress for more as indicated by other reviews. There are loose strings hanging everywhere and if you pull them they do undo at the seams. I will be cutting them off. Time will tell if the seams stay put.
Firm is good for a baby
January 29, 2015
It's very firm. Firm is good for a baby, but this is very, very firm. My toddler uses it, but we got her a pillow and a cushier mattress pad to make it more comfy. After that she slept fine in it. We have her baby mattress to our new little one.
Horrible chemical smell
September 30, 2014
This mattress is almost a year old now. its holding up ok, except for the horrible chemical smell.
Strange smell
November 9, 2013
I was very pleased when I first received this mattress. It was firm without being too hard; construction seemed good and I liked the fabric (not PUL or similar material) cover. Also, there was no chemically smell such as some mattresses have. However, after a day of the mattress being unpacked, I noticed an odd smell, similar to cocoa butter or old coffee. After another day, I realized it was coming from the mattress! I am returning it.I couldn't sleep with it in the same room and figure if it bothers me, I am not going to risk the baby feeling the same way (we hadn't put it in the crib yet). Maybe I got an odd mattress but mention it in case it is not an isolated problem.

Terrible cover material ages product
October 6, 2017
I bought two of these in Sep of 2015. My sons didn’t start to use them until approx June of 2016. In a little over a year the covers to both mattresses have cracked open and bat broke off. The sheets kept my children from eating any of these pieces, but did not prevent urine from soaking into the mattress. So if you do but this mattress make sure you purchase good sheets that won’t pop off when your toddler jumps on it, and a really good mattress pad that will stay in place as well. Otherwise you’re going to find a giant urine sponge if your child’s diaper leaks.and let’s be honest, they WILL leak 😫As far as the mattress itself, it wasn’t anything to write home about, but it was the right size and the kids slept well enough on it.
Prices goes up and down VERY often!!!
June 25, 2017
I wonder why..? This is a good product but clearly not the best. However you can get it listed sometimes for $32 instead of $57 that's what I pad for the first one for my other kid. So my recommendation if you want to try this mattress, add to your baby registry and check daily the price fluctuation...you might be really surprised! Good luck!!!
Perfect price and nice quality!// Fair quality, 3/5 stars
October 3, 2016
So far, the cover is doing great against any leaks, spills or potential stains! Wipes clean easily, fits in the crib great!Update: 6/25/2017Months ago the cover started to crack and crumble off. Not a huge deal, because I think you can just replace the cover? Was hoping to get in touch with manufacturer but no such luck.
Mattress Sinks and Vinyl Ripped after 2 years
November 11, 2015
I purchased this mattress just over 2 years ago for my now 27month old daughter. I hadn't experienced any problems with the mattress until recently, I noticed my daughter was "sinking" into the middle of her crib. I took her out of the crib, pulled the sheets up and noticed the vinyl had ripped clear across the middle of the mattress. It is supposedly "tear resistant", so I am not sure why this has happened. We used a mattress cover while she was in her spit-up infant days, and only removed it recently because it was so loud when my daughter moved in her sleep. It never went through any jumping or excessive bed-wetting. I don't know if the mattress started to sag first then the vinyl ripped or vice versa...Mattresses are supposed to last longer than this. The warranty just recently expired, so looks like I'm in the market for a new mattress :\ (Glad I purchased it when it was only $39!)
Does NOT fit Ikea Gulliver Crib snugly
December 15, 2014
I bought this mattress for a Ikea Gulliver crib. Although there were some reviews that said it did not fit snugly there were enough reviews saying it did that I bought it. One review said something about it fitting nicely at first and then having a gap at one end which is what happened to us. It seemed to fit fine at first but after just a day or two and it seeming to get settled in the crib there is a 2-3 inch gap at the end. Since my son is older I just stuffed a blanket in the gap and will continue to use it but wanted to share. I'm not sure how other people are saying it fits perfectly because it definitely does not. Its a good mattress and a great deal for the price but if you are looking for a good fit for an ikea crib this is NOT the mattress for you.
fits too tight
October 29, 2014
We have the DaVinci Kalani 4-in-1 Convertible Crib with Toddler Rail. This mattress fits really really tight. You can barely put a finger in between the crib and the mattress which is good for safety, not so good for putting on a mattress waterproof pad and sheets.I already know that i'm going to have issues during nights when my baby wets the crib, calming a baby, having to take the whole mattress out in order to be able to change the sheets... and of course, the bumper too because there is no way the mattress is coming out with the bumper in place.

Great mattress except for weak seams
December 18, 2016
Love the mattress, but durability is a problem because of seams that rip easily. This mattress is a great fit in the crib and my daughter seems to have found it comfortable to sleep on, but we experienced the same issue as others whereby the seam ripped with only normal use. Clearly there is a systemic manufacturing issue here. Very disappointing since we like everything else about it, especially that it didn't smell or off-gas at all.
Does Not Last
October 27, 2016
When this mattress first arrived I was very pleased with the condition and there was no weird smell. However, within the first nine months of using it in my son's crib it tore at the seam near one of the corners, by 1.5yrs of use it was torn at 2 corners.
If you like rips
August 20, 2016
This is the second time we have purchase this mattress. While they sent us a new one after the first one we bought tore on the seam (I thought it was a fluke). I has happened again with the second one, I am disappointed and very annoyed at this happening again.
Great If Stored/Shipped Correctly
August 13, 2016
Seems like a great mattress, but....It arrived in an opened box (mashed a bit on that end so likely a result of transport rather than tampering).Has a crease across it's width due apparently to being stored upright. We would return in hops of getting better quality, but that doesn't seem detestable.

No great
July 11, 2017
The mattress is already starting to bow, and has only been used by a newborn for a month. And, the top of the mattress has weird marks where she has spit up. Just not great quality and will not last.
QUESTIONABLE QUALITY
April 15, 2017
The cover on this mattress appears to be vinyl but it is VERY thin and cracks very easily. I ordered two of these and the cover on both cracked -- one after only 13 days.
Not high quality, falling apart after one year of use
July 1, 2016
This mattress worked well for our infant/toddler for a little over a year. He is not by any means a big boy but the mattress cover started tearing after only a year of use. We even flipped it when changing sheets to prevent excessive wear on either side. Now there is a giant hole in the cover right in the middle of the mattress so it is no longer waterproof or dust mite proof. It also sags noticeably in the center where he sleeps and is clearly not providing good support anymore. We had hoped to use this mattress for several years at least but now we'll have to purchase a new one.
It shrunk over time and is now not safe.
January 16, 2016
As most first time parents do, I bought this before my little babe was even born yet. I have had it ready to go in her room for about 8 months now. She has yet to sleep on it, as I was keeping her in her co-sleeper until she was 6 months. When I went to start using her crib a week ago, I realized the mattress is too small! I could have swore I triple checked the size initially because safety is so important! The only conclusion I came to is that the mattress had shrunk, but I thought I must have just had pregnancy brain when purchasing it because I didn't think that was possible. I came on Amazon to read reviews and sure enough, this has happened to other people as well! Because of the material of the mattress, the fitted sheet made the mattress shrink. Now we have to go buy a new one and our daughter didn't even use this once! We have a standard size crib, so having purchased a standard sized mattress, this shouldn't be an issue.. So disappointed.
Too small for crib, doesn't last, having to replace after 2 yrs
October 9, 2015
With our first baby I was super picky and way over the top reading reviews and over thinking everything. With our second baby, we were more relaxed and after reading these reviews I decided this mattress fit our needs and budget and would do just fine. If I had it to do over, I would not buy this mattress again. My 4 yr old still sleeps on her higher-quality crib mattress (in toddler bed) and it's still in fairly good condition. My 2 yr old has this Safety First Heavenly Dreams mattress and it's in really sad condition already! Cons- much more flimsy than typical mattress, sagging in middle, not as supportive, does NOT fit tightly in our Jenny Lind crib. Pros- the support was fine when she was a baby, and we improved the overall fit by placing her bedding bumper low so there was less room for the mattress, making a tight fit. It made changing sheets a challenge but it was ok. We removed bumpers when she was about 15mo and I was shocked by the amount of space, a good 1.5-2 inches of gap between the end of the mattress and the crib. This would be an ok mattress if you need it for short term but otherwise invest a little more for something better. My little one will be in her crib another year then convert to toddler bed for a few years, so now we are shopping for another crib mattress at 2 yrs old (seems ridiculous). Her crib was purchased new and its a popular design, so the sizing problem is not her crib.
Great in the beginning but then downhill.
February 1, 2015
Great in the beginning but after about 18 months of use the outer layer starting cracking. Now we're at 21 months and the cracks have got worse, the outer material is flaking off and holes are starting. Quite disappointing, I was expecting this matress to last through toddler bed until we get a twin/full. Preparing to purchase a replacement. I wondered if the life expectancy of crib/toddler matresses is really that short but the replacement I am considering has a 10 year warranty (this product doesn't have warranty - at least I couldn't find it). Oh, and I have twins. This issue is with both mattresses, so I do not believe its isolated to a defective product.

December 19, 2016
Mattress seems very small. Sheets, which are normally a 2 person job to put on a crib mattress since it is suppose to be tight fitting!, are extremely baggy on this mattress. I can shove my hand easily between mattress and crib rails. My 6 mo old is always losing a limb between the crib and mattress. It is so excessive, I feel like it might be defective...

The seams are ripping after one year of normal use. We did love this mattress for the first year of use, but it is ridiculous that it is falling apart already.
Tears apart
July 22, 2016
What recourse do we have amazon? My kid is sleeping on a defective mattress. I want my money back. Don't buy this mattress because it will will tear along the edges. So upset with this purchase and will look into any available recourse through the manufacturer.
Mattress Ripping
February 27, 2016
Very disappointed with this mattress. After only a year in a half, the mattress is ripping in two spots. The inside of the mattress is coming out. This can't be safe to sleep on anymore. I was hoping to use this with our second child. Now we have to buy a new one. Expected more from a Simmons product.
VERY DISAPPOINTED
September 24, 2015
I loved the mattress until it completely ripped like others have mentioned when pulling the fitted sheet off of the mattress after only 2 years of proper use in a crib and a couple months converted to the toddler bed. I am very disappointed and was hoping to use the mattress for our second child. I could not find enough information to use the warranty and not sure I want to waste my time considering what others have said about warranty and it most likely will rip again!

Not worth the savings
August 9, 2017
We've had this mattress about 10 months now. It was compressed and sagging and losing shape within 4-5 months. I also did not find it to be great for a newborn. We had a previous mattress with an infant side and a toddler side from my older child, and we ended up giving my newborn the dual sided mattress because I was concerned with how soft this mattress was. Also, we have the same exact crib for both children, and the mattress we had before we bought this one fits much more snug. This mattress doesn't seem to fit as snag, although I would not say there was a huge gap.I would not buy again.
Choking hazard. Deteriorated after 8 months
December 10, 2016
Bought this mattress in March 2016 and by November noticed it was tearing and coming apart. As far as I can tell the bits and pieces stayed beneath the crib sheet. Very worried my LO may have swallowed some pieces.Tried to contact the manufacturer, but can't find a phone number.
Will Shrink And Sag In No Time
March 15, 2016
The mattress fit my baby's crib snugly when it first arrived. Now after six months, the length of the mattress has shrunk to where I can fit my hand sideways between the top of the mattress and side of the crib like many others have noted in their reviews. My son has only been sleeping on the mattress for about a month and it seems to be losing its firmness also. Will be looking for a new mattress.
Caused my daughter to have respiratory illness due to mold inside
February 1, 2016
Once I got this mattress, I wrote in because the smell was very chemical like and awful, I kept the sheet off of it and let it air out for a few days before I could use it. I wrote in to complain and ask about this when I first got it and they said it was normal. After a couple months of my daughter sleeping on this, she started getting non stop respiratory infections. I did some research and was steered to the possibility of the mattress causing these issues. When unzipping this mattress I found a bunch of black specks that look like mold. I have taken this off my daughter's crib and replaced it with a different mattress and hope to see my daughter feel better soon. When I tried writing to the distributor, DHPFurniture, that responded to my issues back in April, I found that the phone number and email address were no longer valid. I am not able to return this mattress and have no insight to a resolution from Amazon. I have purchased my new mattress from BabiesRUs hoping for a different outcome.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
August 29, 2015
This mattress is going back. The only good thing that I liked about this mattress was how light it is. When it arrived I could pick the mattress up with one hand. When I opened the box and squeezed the mattress I could literally crush both side of the mattress in. I then proceeded to bend the mattress in half. This is not something that I want to be able to do or think it should do. I then proceeded to put crib sheets on the mattress which caused the mattress to bow. Finally I tested it for length in the crib and it was too long...it bowed inside of the crib as well. I am extremely disappointed with this product.
BEWARE-TOO SHORT FOR STANDARD SIZE CRIBS: NOT 52.5 INCHES
June 5, 2015
Shocked that this got such great reviews. Advertised as 52.5 inches in length, it is 49 inches and does NOT fit our standard size crib. It is too short of either side. I could almost fit his entire hand between the mattress and the end of the crib. Incredibly disappointed.
