I've noticed that many have other additives and wanted "the real deal". When I first got this in the mail and looked at the consistency, I was initially concerned because it was thicker than I anticipated. (Turns out it was thicker because of the cold Michigan weather it had been exposed to by the shipping system.) The next day it was the perfect texture. I am using a few drops on my naturally curly hair in the morning and love the results. It's much better quality than the one (with additives) that I had been using. Definitely a winner! It doesn't hold the oil in so big drops start falling the instant you pull it from the bottle. It is ok -- I like the quality of other argan oil that I've used ... This argan oil is comparable in viscosity, fragrance, appearance and effectiveness - but you receive 4oz instead of 2.The cap on the bottle I received was not screwed on tightly and some of the product leaked out. Enough leaked out to soak through a section of the inner shipping box and get all over the outside of the glass bottle, but not enough to warrant the hassle of returning. Minus 1 star for the required clean-up. |

Three Star Reviews: | 4% I have to agree with the others. September 3, 2017 This is heavy, sticky, and smells terrible, and it is strong. It smells like West African Shea Butter which has a putrid order. Not all Argan oil smells this strong, but this how this one smells. Im actually leaving a better star than I would want to July 7, 2017 Im actually leaving a better star than I would want to. I purchased this product because it had so many buyers. Ive bought different Argan oils in the past and this is my probably my least favorite. Yes, It comes in a dark bottle, but the actual oil is somewhat clear and not the consistency of real "pure" Argan oil. Argan oil should be thick and with a yellowish tinge. Not for me... September 8, 2016 Not impressed with this oil & the dropper delivery system. The dropper is leaky & the oil gets all over everywhere when I have tried to use it. I thought perhaps at first it was because it was a full bottle, but it has continued every time I've used it. Or maybe I'm a klutz & not used to this system. The oil itself is thin & runny - not what I've used in the past. Perhaps it's because this is 'triple extra virgin' & I'm unfamiliar with it. It seems like I'm using 3 times as much to get the same effect in my hair. I also prefer the pump bottle I've used before. I will be returning this. It seems like it could be a good product just definitely not for me. Still not sure April 7, 2016 So I did a lot of research on pure, authentic Cosmetic Moroccan Argan Oil before purchasing this. I had purchased from another seller previously but wasn't 100% sure that it was authentic. This checked off a lot of the signs like a dark glass bottle, and even had the slightly nutty smell (the previous seller's argan oil smelled like nothing at all which made me wary although it was in a dark plastic bottle). The problem I have with this product is that when I put it in my hair, which is the purpose of my purchase, it left my hair looking and feeling too oily. I have very thick long hair and I did not feel like I used much and it was way too oily in my hair. The previous seller's oil left my hair feeling and looking soft but not oily. So i guess I am still on the search for an oil that fits my needs. I think I may give this to a friend to see if it has a different effect on their hair or skin. Updated February 1, 2016 I totally love this oil. I use a few drops in my hair before blow drying, and at night, I use it as a facial moisturizer. It's very effective at properly moisturizing my face and always leaves me with soft, SHINY hair.UPDATE: after purchasing my second bottle of this oil, I'm pretty disappointed. My new bottle smells awful, absolutely like a skunk, but my first bottle had no scent. I'm not sure if they sent me a defective product or what. Also, they changed the type of dropper included. The new one is horrible and obviously cheap. The rubber top is so hard that I can't fill the dropper completely, and it immediately starts leaking when you pull it out of the bottle. I had heard so many people talk about the amazing fragrance of Moroccan oil and I was mostly looking forward to experiencing the distinctive fragrance, but this oil has no fragrance whatsoever. The product itself is fine but the smell is not right. I've been using Radha's rosehip oil for a little while ... May 4, 2016 I've been using Radha's rosehip oil for a little while, and thought I'd try this brand out to see if there was a difference in quality since both products are very similar in price. Unfortunately, the oil that arrived was a pale yellow color and didn't have that rosehip oil smell that it should. Guess I'm going back to Radha. Try the one in the blue bottle January 15, 2016 I previously purchased a competitors version of this product that was $4 cheaper and certified organic and I wish I had stuck with their product. Majestic Pures argan oil has a much stronger smell to it. The smell of pure argan oil isn't necessarily pleasant, but it's not unpleasant either. Also, this particular brand of oil seems to be somehow less effective in terms of absorption. All in all, I would stick with the brand I purchased before by Radha beauty products, its better all around and is $4 less expensive than this stuff. Argan oil usually is easily absorbed into the skin, but for some reason this argan oil feels like it just sits on top of my face (and i only use 3 drops). As the day goes on, it makes my face look oily around my T-zone which irritates me. It makes me feel kind of icky. The smell also isnt very pleasant to me. Also on her bottle it says "organic".The majestic pure Argan oil had a lemon like smell to it. I expected a nutty aroma but I get a very strong lemon smell. Not too bad. The fact that this product is not crystal clear and has a slight yellow color has me skeptical. Also, in the sellers ad it states organic. Nowhere on the majestic pure Argan oil bottle does it say organic. Regardless, I will continue to use the product but, am already disappointed. The sellers ad lists the same stuff as the Josie Maran website but, both products are very different. I guess that's what I get for being cheap. One Star Reviews: | 6% DO. NOT. BUY. THIS IS VEGETABLE OIL. July 29, 2017 If I could put ZERO stars, I would. This is NOT Rosehip oil, Rosehip seed oil, or anything else that they claim to be. I took a shot and ordered it for amazon prime day and I truly regret my purchase. As the other one star reviews claim this product is VEGETABLE OIL or some other type of oil that has no business being on your face. I am a cosmetologist and very familiar with different oils. The consistency, the color, the smell (nada!), everything is off. Do not buy!!! You'd be better off going to a local shop. There are pictures below with the product I received on the left and true USDA certified organic Rosehip seed oil on the right. See for yourself! Rancid June 17, 2016 This oil is rancid. it had a weird smell when I opened the bottle. I have used it for about a week now. The smell is disgusting. It is rancid. In the trash it will go.
