Adds nice touch to kitchen
September 23, 2017
I like the little stand they come with when not in use. It grinds perfectly and the glass look shows off salt and peppercorn. I imagine they will be easy to wipe down and keep shiny looking.Great quality!
Great value and performance
September 22, 2017
Basic, but good. A no frills set, but well designed and works well. The nicest feature is that the grinders sit on the reservoirs with the dispenser end upright and covered with a cap when not in use. This prevents small amounts of the salt or pepper which may still be in the grinder mechanism from ending up on the table when you set the mills down. We've had expensive wooden sets and expensive battery powered grinders from Williams Sonoma that work no better. Save your money and buy these.
Excellent Grinders
September 21, 2017
These are everything I have been looking for! They are extremely well made, very smart looking and the ease with which the fine or coarseness can be adjusted is excellent. I highly recommend Willow & Everett products!!!!!!
Perfect pair!
September 19, 2017
Love, love, love this pair of grinders. They look great, the stand helps keep track of them, meaning my kids actually think to put them back so I'm not hunting when I want salt or pepper. I only wish they came with salt and pepper. I forgot to buy pepper so had to run to the store. Definitely recommend to all!
Pretty Much Perfect Salt and Pepper Grinders
September 14, 2017
Just what I wanted! Easy to fill, grinding mechanism in the top so no more salt and pepper on the table.. And did I mention the fine control over degree of fine/coarseness and the generous capacity of the hoppers?
These look really great on my kitchen table

These look really great on my kitchen table, plus they work just as advertised. Really smooth grind and the lids are securely on there, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thank you very much!

It's A Pleasure To Use This Grider
June 6, 2017
I love it, I saw this grinder while watching Jacques Pepin and had to have it. My favorite part is that the dispenser end points up when not in use so it's not leaking pepper all over the counter top like my old grinder. Also, there is no guess work when determining what size grind you want, you just move the switch. I have found that you get a lot more pepper output if you use peppercorns that are already cracked. I'm lucky, the Sprouts by my house sells them ready to use.
Another well designed OXO product
May 29, 2017
Great design. I have re-engineered my kitchen with 90% OXO products. I've gotten their containers, peeler, dish mat and now this. I have arthritis in my fingers and not only is it easy to turn to get the pepper out but you can also decide the size of the ground pepper. I find that I'm actually using the different sizes for my hard boiled eggs (smallest) to my pot roasts (largest).
the very best salt & pepper grinders!
February 10, 2017
we love this set! ... they perform very well, keep the counters clean with top side dispensing orientation, they are easy to twist, and grind consistently with 5 settings - fine to course. they have been very durable and look like the day we purchased them almost 4 years ago... easy to fill, easy to keep clean, and they look nice on the counter... another fine OXO product... we are very, very pleased! Thank you. :-)
Fantastic Customer Service
January 4, 2017
Do not hesitate to purchase this product. OXO is a manufacturer that stands firmly behind their products. I purchased this item in Dec of 2014. We use Celtic Sea Salt in my house. This is a natural sea salt that is essentially dehydrated sea water, so it retains all the trace minerals found in sea water. However, it's still a little wet which would tend to promote corrosion in the metal parts. After nearly 2 years of use, the center grinder just popped out. I called customer service. I told them what happened. They just replaced the product. I had it in less than a week.We actually have another grinder just like this one in the same wet sea salt service that has been going strong for about 5 years. This product uses a ceramic grinder that will not corrode. This one just happened to have a failure elsewhere and give up early. OXO had no problem making sure our expectations of service life were met. I highly recommend this product and this company.
getting salt and pepper is no more a dreary grind!!
December 28, 2015
These are the truly the best salt and pepper mills. They are very sturdy, and my friends comment how attractive they are. I also love the fact that the salt and pepper are dispensed from the top. That way after grinding you do not get stray salt or pepper on your table when you put them down. The bottom section for grinding is very comfortable to hold on to. There is a little lever on each one that changes the grind from coarse to fine. I love it because it clicks whenever it is moved, and since I cannot see, this gives me the audio clues needed. I have some other gourmet peppers, and I will probably invest in two more of these to hold them.
Excellent Product
June 15, 2013
I purchased this set for two primary reasons.First I was so tired of cleaning up the pepper left under my pepper grinder in the cupboard and anywhere I sat it down.Second I wanted to have the ability to select the size of the flake created and having the same feature for Salt as well as pepper is even better.I used this set last weekend cooking on the grill and was so impressed with both the fact that they dump from the top so they don't leave flakes everywhere you set them down and I really liked the fact that I can select the pepper flake or salt piece ground.Very good build and I have always had good luck with OXO brand products. Very good price on these as well. The set is worth every penny and then some.Buy this set if you are frustrated as I was with leaving pepper flakes everywhere I set the grinder down and frustrated you cannot select and vary the output flake size and you also get a salt grinder in the deal!

Attractive and well made salt a pepper grinders
September 26, 2017
Very nice salt and pepper grinders. The canisters are glass while the tops are stainless steel with tight fitting lids. They are a little larger than I expected but that is not a problem. A well made, attractive set that I recommend without hesitation.
Great purchase
July 9, 2017
Great set of shakers! They were empty when I purchased them (I knew that when I bought them)....they are easy to fill and are adjustable for coarseness. I like how smoothly they turn.
No instructions but pretty easy to figure out.
November 26, 2016
Nice high capacity and very clean-looking, simple design. Only critique is that there are no instructions included so it's sort of a 'fiddle with it until you figure it out" also would be nice to have a grind size indicator rather than just the knob to turn. Still, better than the last grinder set I bought and the carrier is helpful.
Product Issue was Promptly Addressed; Excellent Customer Service

EDIT 9/16/16 -- In response to my review, Willow & Everett reached out and not only replaced the set, but they also issued a full refund for my original purchase. I am completely blown away by their commitment to their customers' satisfaction. They clearly stand behind their product, and I feel comfortable recommending this again.(Original Review) I've had these about six months, and the grinder for the salt is broken. It still grinds salt, but you can't adjust the coarseness anymore. I wouldn't buy these again.

August 5, 2016
It is a pleasure to just reach over at the dinner table and fetch both the salt & pepper safely in a single move. The grind is perfect. The lids are a little hard to get used to removing but not a serious problem. Over-all, attractive, handy, and I am very glad to have this set. When I found these on line I had really been looking for something smaller for the table (I already have a kitchen grinder), and I do wish for my own use there was a smaller version, but this set is attractive, not obtrusive and easy to use.
Very Good for the Price.
January 23, 2016
My husband and I have been trying to find a set of salt and pepper grinders that work well on both the pepper AND the salt. So far, we're happy with these mills. At first, the salt (pink Himalayan) seemed to be sticky, but it seems to have dried out more and is falling from the grinder instead of sticking. My only real complaint is that I dislike the caps on the grinders. Instead of storing them grinder-side down, like most, they are stored grinder-side up with the caps. The glass containers hold a LOT of salt and peppercorns and the filling opening is wide, so you have less of a mess. I do like the tray that holds both grinders, which keeps them neat on the table or stove top. :-)

Salt works great. Pepper, not so much.
March 28, 2017
The salt grinder works so well and feels good in the hand. Each crank delivers a satisfying crack of salt. The pepper grinder does not have this feel. It's almost like it's spinning more than it's grinding, unless I put it on the largest grind setting. Takes many many turns to crack out a decent amount of pepper. The design is good for not leaving salt and pepper on your table or counter.
These work great and hold up well
March 1, 2017
These work great and hold up well, have had a unit for several years. The clear area doesn't seem to get scuffed and the gears are still working smoothly. Very durable and easy to load. The top loading mechanism could be improved as once you take the lid off there are three small bars like the spokes of a steering wheel where you pour the spices in. If you are not careful you will spill the spices everywhere if you let them hit the bars.
Beware the Glue!
January 5, 2017
This item is effective, though a bit smaller than it looks in the picture. It would have been 5 stars for quality of build and looks, but there is a problem: the OXO button on the grinding surface (the top of the grinder in the picture) pops off during use. It appears that this coin-sized metal piece was hastily glued on to conceal the screw holding the grinding unit together. This piece popped off in soups several times before we removed it.It also isn't the fastest grinder, but it is definitely well-built and well-suited to active cooks.
Sturdy, functional, comes with free pepper (?)
February 15, 2016
These are pretty utilitarian, like most OXO products. They arrived looking significantly less glamorous than in the product photos (the black rubber knob is by far the dominant feature), and in damaged packaging (product undamaged, but the box was bent and torn, which was too bad, as these were a given as a gift). But they WORK.I use these every single day, they feel solid and robust. The ugly rubberized knob on the bottom is supremely functional, and the mechanism on the grinders feels much sturdier than some of the competitively priced mills I tried in-store. We don't keep these out on the table (ha!), but these are total workhorses and they've been great for the first couple months.
Very Well Made Quality Item
March 23, 2013
Quality grinders that look good on your counter and don't leave a mess. The only thing I'm a little disappointed in the pepper grinder doesn't grind the pepper fine enough.Even when set on fine you end up with large chunks of pepper in your food...a little to large for my taste. If this is not a problem for you then these are excellent grinders. This is the only reason I docked it a star otherwise very nice.Update:I came up with a fix for the pepper grinding. What I did was swap the contents between the two grinders.Apparently the salt is ground finer then the pepper so by swapping the contents the pepper is now ground fine enough. As far as the salt goes it now ground a little chunkier but salt melts in your food pepper don't...It worked for me.The only thing is on the top of each grinder you have a little ring black for pepper and white for salt this is now swapped. The fact that you have a good view of the contents makes these little colored rings useless anyway...Enjoy.
Good grinder but not quite perfect
October 11, 2011
The OXO Good Grips is the fourth pepper grinder I've purchased in the past several years. Perhaps my expectations are too high but my needs are: grind peppercorns easily; grind in a range of sizes from fine to "nearly cracked pepper"; adjust easily; hold a large amount of peppercorns; be durable (this means it needs to last more than just a few months of daily use); and it would be nice if it looked good on the table as well as on the counter and, personal preference, operate with a crank. Well, so far I have not found the "perfect grinder" but this one is close. It grinds easily and grinds through a full range of sizes -- for a change, "coarse" is actually too coarse to go through a pepper shaker. The adjustable ring makes adjustment easy but you do sometimes need to try a size to make sure it is what you had in mind. It holds a modest amount of peppercorns. Disclaimer: we use a lot of pepper as seasoning and use almost exclusively freshly ground pepper -- for us, this grinder holds three to four weeks supply. OK, but more would be better. It is easily filled: remove the screw cap--something that was redesigned from the earliest models of this grinder. Durability seems to be satisfactory -- we use it regularly (read "daily" here) for the last five months and there have been no problems. As far as aesthetics -- its OK, not as striking as the Atlas copper or brass mills, but not displeasing. It does not have a crank. It operates by a twist of the black plastic top (which appears as the bottom in most pictures). Ground pepper comes out of the silver end. Not a deal breaker, just not my "ideal grinder".All in all, I like it. I use it daily. It works well. I bought several more for gifts to other cooks I know. However I am still looking for the perfect grinder.

Nice little grinder set
August 13, 2017
Nice little grinder set. Easy adjust and decent grind. Felt kinda cheap, but for the price not that bad. I've had these for about 10 months and one of the adjustments locked up. Still worked for grinding, but it was a bit coarse for what I see doing. Tried soaking the top, but no avail. Got a good grip and starting wiggling to try and clear the jam but instead the adjustment knob's shaft broke in two. Pretty disappointed that they didn't even last a year.
Look nice but poorly constructed
April 7, 2017
The caddy is a nice touch but these salt and pepper mills pale in comparison to the ones they were obviously modeled after from Crate & Barrel. The grinder is plastic (versus metal) and the caps lack any heft due to the paper thin metal used in their manufacture. They'll serve their purpose for a while but are not the quality I was hoping for.
The Salt and Pepper shaker set was larger than I expected but is great if you're one of those that does a lot ...
March 9, 2017
When ordering online its hard to get a feel for the size of an item. The Salt and Pepper shaker set was larger than I expected but is great if you're one of those that does a lot of cooking or has a large family. Trying to decide if I should return it. Too large for just my husband and I. But it might make a good gift.
Comes empty.
February 28, 2017
Came empty. I was expecting salt and pepper. I ordered one without the stand and both were full.
Really big for shakers!
April 29, 2016
These are much larger than I expected them to be which is good for holding a lot of spice but the downside is it's not as comfortable in your hand when grinding and takes up more counter space than I wanted. But grinds spices well and looks elegant in the kitchen.
Good set for dining table, not so by the stove
February 16, 2016
I ordered these grinders as they looked really nice on the pictures. And they are still nice in real life, just way bigger than I imagined. Pepper grinder will fit a whole 3.9 oz of whole Black Peppercorns.+It does do a good job at grinding up pepper, I haven't tried it with salt yet. It is also really easy to fill it up.-I usually grind up the amount I need into the lid first to see how much I am adding to my food- these lids have a plastic ridge and shape that makes using it this way harder- as all the ground up pepper gets stuck there and when you put a lid back on you get pepper all over the place. Also, once you open the lid after grinding up the pepper, there will be pepper stuck on the outer ridge and it will get all over the place. All in all it is a good pepper and salt grinder set, but better used at the dining table rather than in the kitchen by the stove.

Oxo Peppermill Does the Job Decently, but Falls Short of Higher Marks
April 5, 2017
Oxo is known for dependability, great ergonomics, and solid customer service. I can attest to all of this as an owner of several Oxo products. In some ways, this product, and other Oxo pepper mills, are further examples, but it does not mean they are not without shortcomings. For this product, there are two shortcomings. One is functional. One is aesthetic.Functionality: This Oxo pepper mill, and, to the best of my knowledge, all Oxo pepper mills, use a ceramic burr, instead of steel. In some cases, if not most, ceramic grinders do not hold up as well as steel, and, do not grind as finely when adjusted to do so. This has proven true on the Oxo grinders I have tested, and owned. While I have seen ceramic grinders do an excellent job on fine grinding peppercorns, Oxo is not at the top of this list. If you want fine grind peppercorns, Oxo will fall short. Not by a lot, but by enough.Aesthetics: All of the transparent Oxo pepper mills I have tested, and owned, and, are aware of in their product line, use plastic instead of glass for the main compartment. While this is not a functional issue, it is an aesthetic one. Plastic cylinders holding peppercorns get cloudy as they are used, and the peppercorn grind dust coats the barrel. This does not happen nearly as much in glass. To some, especially those people who own solid wood, or non-transparent pepper mills, this is no issue. To others like me, who like to use a medley of peppercorns in mills, and like the appearance of clear glass displaying peppercorns, a clouded acrylic/plastic container is a visual blight in aesthetic. A tiny one, but still, a blight. Another aesthetic shortcoming is the shafted grinder design. In a see-through pepper mill, this is a bad design. Oxo products have always been expensive for the comfort they return in ergonomics. I wish they would also return a bit more quality in the materials they choose. See pictures for examples.
Attractive and easy to fill, but be careful how much salt comes out!
March 27, 2017
We have the matching pepper grinder and I like how it looks and it is really easy to fill. The only real issue we have is that it grinds a bit coarsely, even at the smallest setting, and the salt comes out really fast. We make a point of warning guests.
Great buy
February 3, 2016
After six months using the fine isn't as fine as it should be.Has been on coarse most of that time, which could be the reason. maybe we wore out the grater and the fine doesn't work anymore. But I do really like it. Gets a lot of use in our family.2nd review after 2 yearsI really want to get another one for my son, but am having reservations, after six months it only does coarse grain, which is sometimes not what I want. the grinder must be very cheap metal from china! I think the price is a bit much for 6 months
Solid grinders
August 12, 2013
Was impressed by the reviews and price. Have been using them for about two weeks. The grinders have a solid feel and the adjustment for the coarseness works smoothly. Removed a star because there is a small cap that covers the gears of the grinder that has fallen off a couple of time. It looks like the cap is cosmetic, so it maybe fine to dispense with it. Also, would recommend the manufacturer design a cap to go over the entire opening of the salt grinder. As soon as the humidity increased the salt just stuck to the gears, whereas a cheap disposable grinder my wife purchases has a plastic cap that seems to minimize the humidity within the gears enough to allow it to work all through summer. We now have to store the grinder upside down in a plate of rice to keep it working through the summer.
Will not grind pepper at all!
February 19, 2013
I tried 2 sets of these, using 4 different grinders, not one of them would grind pepper! I suspect the mechanism may recently have been downgraded because they could not all have failed so consistently and have sold enough for the positive reviews!Something about the grinding mechanism is too soft. Only a tiny amount of pepper can be ground, then the turning part only spins and spins without engaging the teeth. It feels as though they may be made of soft plastic. Whatever the material, it clogs or fails in some way that it will not grind pepper. This result was from out-of-the-box new grinders, they simply never worked!I have used disposable non-refillable grinders that are better at this for pepper! So far, they seem to work for rock salt. I now have a pair of matching salt grinders. I sent one set back, but since I'd already thrown out the packaging for another set, I must keep these not-for-pepper grinders.
Manufacturing defect? GREAT customer service!
January 29, 2012
Originally I was very disappointed in these grinders, but read on...You fill these grinders through a screw-off cap on the bottom. The salt grinder's cap never fully screwed correctly, but I thought it was okay. Today the cap fell off when I picked it up and spilled salt into my food. I messed with the cap, switched the salt and pepper caps, and decided that the salt grinder itself had a manufacturing flaw in it such that neither cap would screw down tight on it.I threw them both away and switched back to my spiceratchet.com grinders that I bought at Whole Foods. Bummer.UPDATE: Based on other reviews I read here, I emailed oxo about this. They promptly sent me a replacement set, along with a hand-written apology card. The new ones do not have the defect. Now that is GREAT customer service!

I'm not crazy about these. I wasn't going to leave a review but the seller kept sending me emails over and over asking me to. The adjustable screw does not really let you change the coarseness of the salt (I out Himalayan pink salt grains in mine) I mostly get a fine powder. I am not sending these back but I would not purchase them again.

Initially we really liked this item, but after two months the grinding mechanism inside the pepper shaker broke. The internal pieces are just plastic. Not worth the cost in our experience.
Refill issue
December 2, 2016
I've owned this less than a year and cannot remove the base from the grinder's top to refill. The metal collar is not connected to the plastic it covers. Needless to say, the metal collar spins and since the plastic underneath is not adhered to the metal collar I cannot remove the top. So disappointing since I love this set.

July 12, 2016
I was really excited to use these and loved the size because they don't take up too much space in the kitchen. However, I decided to wash them prior to use and I unscrewed the grinder top from the base and was hand-washing the glass container, as specified by the directions, when the glass shattered in my kitchen sink. Because I couldn't replace just 1 of the grinders, I ended up buying the exact same set from a different company for 1/2 the price just to replace my broken one.

Not recommended -- worked well for a few months only
July 9, 2016
Worked well for about 6-7 months, but since then it works only sporadically and not that well (sometimes spinning with no salt coming out at all, and other times it works, but only using the 2 coarsest settings). We've tried everything from shaking the salt to redistribute size of crystals, to cleaning it out completely and washing it, to throwing out a batch of expensive salt and replacing it...and even changing salt types of salt completely. But still gives us the same problem...something about the grinder mechanism is obviously defective or broken, which shouldn't happen after just a few months of VERY light usage (at most, we only use it a few times per week). It had been working just good enough (but still frustrating) until now for us not to need buying a new grinder...until the last few weeks, as we've noticed it's now gotten to the point where it's most often that nothing comes out when we try to use it. So it's unfortunately going in the garbage as soon as the new one (from another company arrives).
Grinder clogs easily
January 7, 2016
I purchased this OXO grinder for my mother to replace a glass and wooden version that had lost its tension. I have many OXO products and am a fan of the company. We have been sadly disappointed with this model's performance. The design appears to be well thought out, but the area the pepper is released clogs very easily. I am sure this is due, in part, to it being used over warm food, but the designers should have taken that into account.

August 16, 2014
I bought this awhile ago and have been very unhappy with it. I have owned a unicorn magnum used for black peppercorns for many years which is wonderful. About a year ago I got into using a mix of green and red peppercorns, figured I'd buy the smaller Unicorn and came to Amazon to shop. I saw this product and it was well reviewed. I thought it would be nice to be able to see the pretty colored peppercorns inside the mill on the counter plus it is easier to fill it so I purchased this. It has never worked well at any of the settings. It frequently gets clogged and even after clearing the clog the grind is SO inconsistent. I even switched the peppercorns out between the two mills because the green and red ones are softer than black. The Unicorn did a great job on the color mix, the OXO still didn't work well. So goodbye to this one.
It seems impossible to find a really good salt and pepper grinder set at a reasonable price
August 11, 2014
It seems impossible to find a really good salt and pepper grinder set at a reasonable price. Since the reviews here were mostly positive, I was hopeful this set would be the one, but it's not. I've now had the set for six weeks and here's my opinion. The size is nice, it's easy to fill and the grinders look fairly good. But the drawbacks outweigh the pluses. These grinders are supposed to be adjustable so you can set your desired coarseness of the salt and pepper. But there is hardly any difference between the size of the grains that come out whether the grinders are on their finest or coarsest setting. I don't know why OXO bothered -- selling gimmick maybe. Also, it seems hard to get the pepper started grinding at times -- you have to shake the grinder and tap it on the counter to get the peppercorns to get into the grinding mechanism. And finally, the grinding mechanism on the salt seems to get gummed up a lot. I don't know if it attracts and holds moisture or what but I seem to be wiping around the grinding mechanism fairly regularly to clean out the salt that's gotten clogged in it. I have only ground Himalayan salt in mine. I wouldn't purchase these again.
This is not a grinder.
January 19, 2014
OXO has created another nice product - quality and design here is excellent. But it's not a grinder. The ceramic blades slice pepper or spices; they don't crush (grind) them. The result can appear uneven, which is probably ok for pepper lovers but not great for spices.
Screw-top design flaw
December 11, 2010
I ordered this pepper mill and the matching salt mill last week (Dec 2010). I read through the reviews and saw that some people were saying there was a major design flaw in the product, that the screw-top on the pepper mill comes loose when you're grinding your pepper, potentially causing the top to fall off when you invert your mill. I decided to go with this product anyway because I read some more recent reviews that said that OXO had fixed this problem by replacing the screw-top with a click-in-place design.I received the product and used it this morning for the first time. I was at the last stage of the stewing process when I had to add some black pepper to my meat. I ground the pepper and then flipped the pepper mill over and lo and behold, my bottom screw-top had come loose and I had pepper balls EVERYWHERE! In my pour stew, on the floor, and all over my countertops/stovetop!I then investigated my pepper mill and saw that I was sent the old design. I could tell because it was different from my salt mill screw-top that clicked closed. The pepper one just twists closed and if you are twisting to grind your pepper, it will indeed come loose. :(I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it has so much potential. I love how you grind from the top so you don't get loose ground pepper all over your cabinets when you put it down and that it has a nice look and feel. It also grinds easily in your hand, not too hard to twist.I emailed OXO to ask for a replacement directly. I don't want to go through Amazon for my replacement item because I'm afraid they'll send me the same old-design product. Hopefully they will respond. So in summary, I recommend this pepper mill IF you are able to get the new click-on screw-top design. If not and you can only get the old-designed mill, stay away.

Poor Quality, No Longer Grinds
November 11, 2015
This pepper grinder is poor quality and one of the worst grinders I have ever used. Within the first week the little metal cap on the grinder end fell off into my food. Fortunately I saw it before trying to eat it. The cap was glued back on in hopes that it would continue to function as a useful grinder. Unfortunately after several months it hardly grinds at all. I'm very disappointed considering the cost of the grinder and the good ratings it seemed to get.
I am so disappointed with this
October 18, 2015
Bought this and really don't use that often. While grinding peppercorns over some soup the grinding mechanism broke, falling into the soup, along with all those big peppercorns. I am so disappointed with this. I purchased this set because some of the prefilled, disposable grinders have done this very thing so I expected this grinder to be better...Save your money, either buy a disposable grinder or use ground pepper!!!
fits nicely in hand and does what its supposed to do

On the smallest setting, for me, the pepper is still too coarse, but its attractive, fits nicely in hand and does what its supposed to do. Bought 2, thought they'd come empty as I wanted one for coarse sea salt. update 9/16/2017 After having this a couple yers, I have to replace it, even on the smallest setting large chunks of pepper come out, I're tried to see if something is stuck to keep it from grinding finer but I give up and buying anther brand. works fine on sea salt.
Design flaw
October 19, 2014
I had a problem with the rounded bottom, which can tip over easily if carried on a tray or under similar circumstances, such as setting the table. One time it tipped over on to a small pitcher of salad dressing and caused a spill, so I contacted them and told them of the problem, but I never had a response, so I'm surprised that they didn't think it was serious enough to deal with it, because most of their products are so well designed.
Died after only 120 days...

I purchased this pepper grinder in October 2011. By February, it was "stripped", or something similar. Turn the handle...no pepper! Nice looking grinder, and I like the fact that it turns over when you're done so you don't "leak" pepper when not in use. I don't know whether mine was "bad off the line" or if there is some kind of design flaw, but I'm very disappointed. My last grinder lasted 15 years, and after this OXO grinder "bit it", my contractor took my old grinder apart during his lunch break and FIXED it (he's a magician with fixing things)! If you want durability, I'd have to advise potential purchasers of this product to search elsewhere.
