Side by Side Comparison of: Kempf vs Clean Machine

I purchased this item in the beginning of summer. It has held up well. Shipping was fast. Tiny pieces of debris from trees do get in the middle, but they are easy to fling away if you pick up the mat. The color has not faded. It looks very nice at my side door.

I am so in love with this doormat. I bought it to replace a doormat we had that worked well but the design on it faded pretty quick. So I decided to get a doormat like this product that is rubber. It works great and even being outside all the time wears very nicely. I have had it for about 2.5 months and so far is still in excellent condition. It looks very nice on my little porch.

it's nice. not too heavy. smooth. rubber i like it in front of my old house. it is just the right size too.I rec-amend this.

THIS IS A VERY NICE DOOR MAT. WE ARE HAPPY WITH THIS MAT. IT HAS HELD UP WELL FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS THAT IT HAS BEEN ON OUR DOOR STEP. ITS RUBBER , SO IF IT GETS WET ITS NOT A PROBLEM. WE WILL BUY AGAIN WHEN THIS ONE EVENTUALLY WEARS OUT. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DOOR MAT.

This doormat fits at our front door on the outside porch and looks great! Doesn't skid and does work to scrape stuff off shoes pretty well. Easy to clean off with the hose too. Well made and is holding up well under constant use too.

This is a beautiful mat. about 1/2 thick. Uncomfortable to step on with bare feet.**Has a strong rubber order that took several weeks to dissipate by baking in the sun**I use this inside my home, on my stairway landing (matches the scroll step mats).Looks expensive and matches my Mexican Hacienda look.

This is update to review I submitted 12 months ago. I'm more pleased with this door mate than ever. We keep it outside our side garage door and it works wonders cleaning soles of various types of shoes. I wish it were offered in larger size but it's extremely efficient at cleaning shoes before they enter garage/house. It's maybe not most 'stylish' doormat but it's the most effective I've found yet. The high loft strands cleans between the cleats and grooves of running shoes, work boots, etc very effectively.

We live at 3000 ft elevation north of Phoenix with lots of occasional dust, sand, and dirt. This mat cleans shoes the best. Works great and highly recommend for a utility type door entrance where style and fancy is not all that important.

Fantastic product! We are using this on the patio before coming into the house. Even in nasty weather coming from the yard, this doormat really does the job and cleans almost "floss-like" in the ridges of the shoe soles. The color blends right in with the patio and it has a good weight so it stays put as well.

This is a great, no-nonsense door mat. It does a good job of cleaning my shoes on the way in the house. Even now in the winter, with ice and snow in the mat, it still cleans the salt off my shoes. Highly recommended!

Purchased 2 of these and like them. I use one outside and one inside. They have a slight (non-annoying) odor like a tire store that I expect will go away or I'll just spray 'em with a hose and dry in the sun. That should do it.

The only con is the one indoors isn't very gentle to a 'bare foot' but of course they are not for bare feet but shoes and boots. I'm a guy and I'm not sure about the ladies in nylons walking on it.

They have a very good brushing effect and I expect to track in less or no snow this Winter. I already see a decrease in grass clippings.

Bought for parents front door and it looks nice and doesn't collect the rain. A little smaller than expected. My fault for not checking the measurements.

I just received this today, so I can't comment on its durability, but it is a well-made, attractive doormat and appears to be well worth the price.The only issue with it is that my cats won't stand on it. I have it placed in front of their cat door to the lanai, and they do everything in their power to ensure they don't step on this. I suppose it's because of the open pattern (not solid).Looks great though.

I wanted a doormat with large open space so the mud and dirt would fall through, and this does exactly that. It does look cheaper than I had hoped but I think the statement "You get what you pay for" is a universal TRUTH, so I had low expectations when I ordered. But it WORKS wonderfully on stopping the tracking in of mud, so I am content

I bought this for outside a door where the step always has a puddle. My last cocoa mat literally started growing mushrooms because it was always wet! This raises soles up out of the wet and is mold resistant.

This doormat is sturdy and seems like it will wear well and last for a long time, even in a doorway where it is not protected from rain, direct sunlight, or other weather.It is relatively small mat (30 inches long by 18 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick), and is useful for a small doorway or a side door area. It is probably too small a mat to use for most front door areas or bigger-sized doorways.Water does not build up on, in or under the mat, which is a nice feature.Although the mat is very decorative, it isn't as useful as the coco fiber mats when it comes to actually getting mud off of shoes or boots. However, it does stay cleaner and last longer than the fiber mats, and is much easier to clean when it does get dirty.

Not the prettiest doormat in the world, but highly functional and durable. One of the best doormats for thoroughly cleaning/scrubbing off your shoes before you enter your clean home.

Good basic outdoor mat. Seems well made. Does a very good job with all kinds of footwear and tread patterns from sneakers to hiking boots.

Works great for dirt, leaves and other outside dry or semi-dry debris. Doesn't help much for mud.All it takes to clean so far is a vigorous shake. I know it will need a hose-off sometime, but it hasn't yet. I'm using it for a camper-van RV. It fits easily inside the van on the road and is the first thing to go outside the main entrance door on a camping trip. Well, maybe the second thing. HIS beer is first!It doesn't slide, even while traveling on steep, curvy mountain roads.

Bought these for the bottom of our entrance stairs. They help so much in curbing the amount of sand and little rocks being brought into the house.They are durable and stand up nicely to the weather.

I found this smaller than it claimed, and was charged quite a bit for shipping, and didn't see my gift certificate used. It's VERY SMALL and made of soft rubber type of material.. I'll have to see how it hold up to snow and traffic or it's first winter. I would request whoever measured this to remeasure again. If it wasn't so expensive to ship, I'd have sent it back. Regardless of how nice it looks. It's much too small and thin.

It's very pretty and does give an elegance to my front porch area. But! If you are looking for something to keep wet or leaves from being walked through your home don't get this. Also, it's much smaller than I had originally thought! And when it gets wet it create a slipping hazard, so be careful!!!!

Cons (for me anyway, others may not care):Smelled very rubbery/noxious when we unpacked it, lots of molding material left-overs showing around the interior edges, flimsy, just feels stamped out and not durable, and I'm worried it will melt onto the porch but only time will tell. It doesn't feel comfortable if you walk on it without shoes.Pros:It is a nice design and looks nice for a typical entry way, but I don't expect it will clean any dirt from your shoes due to the smooth rounded design, so it's purely for aesthetics in my opinion.

The mat is pretty, but somewhat unsubstantially made. What happened to the heavy, thick rubbery mats that used to be for sale? It turned out that I donated the mat to a thrift store, since it was so inexpensive to begin with, and shipping would have cost close to what I paid.In my opinion, the mat looks too small (think shrunken) in front of a front door. Even a door without the side panel lites.

I had read the reviews and knew there was an excess of rubber at the cutouts, but didn't think there would be THAT much. After spending significant time trying to sand and trim, I finally decided to just put it out AS IS and hope that these pieces of rubber will eventually break off. It is nicely weighted and quite attractive (at a distance), and DOES eliminate the dirt from my shoes, so it Is working for me. If only it were 36" instead of the 29 1/2" that it is.

More so than I thought it would. Must break easily as well. Unless it was just a shipping mishap. When mine arrived it was broken in 3 places.Needless to say I had to return it.Wanted it for a back patio door but it really was too big anyways.

I wish it had more traction on the bottom. It's quite light and moves from the wind pretty easily. Also when you rub your feet on it, the mat moves around quite a bit.The actual mat itself does a very good job of removing dirt from your shoes.

I didn't realize this mat was completely plastic. Works well at my most active door but does not collect dirt as effectively as I had hoped.

I am very surprised that this & other mats like it are so expensive. I think I paid 1/4 of the 2015 asking price in 2000.That's been quite a while but still...Other than the price, it's sturdy & will do the job so I am satisfied.

Pros:- Very good at scraping off dirt and debris from shoes- Very easy to cleanCons:- Not at all absorbant, so it doesn't get any liquid off shoes. If your shoes are wet or muddy, they will still be wet or muddy after using this.

The mat does a great job cleaning shoes and boots because of its capacity to store snow and dirt. However, it will break apart in cold weather when it is shaken too vigorously. I attempted to clean it when it was around 20 degrees Fahrenheit and that was the end of it.

i picked it up today to shake out snow, it's totally cracked thru on the back about 8 inches, several cracks. it does not get heavy use or any abuse, really expected to last longer. really like it before today, gonna get the duct tape out.

This is smaller than I expected (my fault for not reading closely, I guess) and kind of thin. I wouldn't have purchased it if I'd seen it in the store.

Do not work for wiping feet to keep sand and grit out of the house. They do not stay in place and really don't do much for wiping your feet. Had I seen them in person before buying, I would never had bought them.

The mat is (as stated) rubber and does not clean off the soles of shoes. Even though shoes are not allowed in my home, you can clearly see where they have been placed even when guests wipe their feet.

I received the package today. The material's quality is poor. I bought similar one from bedbathandbeyond two years ago, was much cheaper(new for $9.99, and this one is used like new, for $ 14.41)and better quality by far.I will not recommend it to others to buy it from this supplier. Buy it directly from the bbb's store.Not happy with the price and very disappointed the quality of the product.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. It's lightweight it moves around. And it's plastic bendy teeth don't really catch much. Maybe if I had super muddy feet it would help scrape off the mud but for everyday dirt or sand... Nope. The teeth aren't fine enough to catch anything.

Product just wasn't what I expected. The fabric/material looks a lot more high quality online. In person, the threads on the threads look like a cheap shiny plastic. Not an attractive item, and too cheap looking to put in the hall outside my apartment

This Matt looks & performs well,but I notice all these style matts need shaken periodically especially in winter months when snow gets stuck on them,but when you shake them etc to get debris off of them,they spilt(tear) need to find this style Matt in a more durable non-tear material

Saw this on TV - but bought on Amazon. The mat will work for a normal sized door - but dont expect everything to be clean. While I am sure it works great on sand (as often seen in demos), it doesnt seem to clean our Muckboots or grass of regular shoes. When I swipe my shoes, it seems to just straighten the grass on my shoes - rather than remove them. I am sure it would work fine for cleaning really muddy boots or sandy shoes -- it just doesnt work for me with my garden dirt in the Pacific Northwest.

Any and everything that blows over stays in big openings. Gave up and put in utility area.

Had good luck with this product in the past but the last one I got literally fell apart after a few weeks use. Had to put it into the trash can in pieces. Some where along he line their quality control let them down.

It cracked into strips and the bottom surface disintegrated.Anyone who says otherwise is a liar or they never leave the house.

I placed this mat outside my front door. Within two days the temperature went down to 39 and it rained. The next morning I looked down at the mat and noticed it had split in two. I would not recommend this product.

I'm very, very disappointed in this product. In the product description it says this is the hardest working mat in the world so I ordered two thinking they would be well made and durable. NOT so! Within 2 weeks of normal use on the concrete porch in front of my entry door this mat has cracked into several strips. This product is junk, it does not serve the purpose for which it is sold. Only three people live at this home so these "high traffic" mats were not over-used by any means. At $20 per mat that's $10 per week. Now I've got to buy a couple of rolls of duct tape!

Skimpy and unattractive, definitely not worth the money.

This tore the first time I picked it up to shake the leaves out of it. Very poorly made product that continued to tear worse in the winter when cold and I shook off the snow. It news some kind of reinforcing material on the backside to stop this, Easy fix that needs to be made.
