GREAT EXTRA LONG SHOEHORN, EVEN FOR A SHORT PERSON!
September 13, 2017
Perfect shoe horn, even for short people! We have used other shoehorns in our lifetime, but I LOVE how LONG this shoehorn is!! I'm a short person, 5'2", but having this extra long handle makes it even easier for me to put on my shoes! I barely have to bend down! I can only imagine how much better this would be for a tall person! I was a little hesitant to purchase this because it is made out of plastic, and I felt wood or metal would be more durable. But truth be told, this plastic really is strong and durable and I have no worries about it ever breaking! A plus is that its very light weight, so we actually got a piece of string, used the loop at the top and let it hang on our doorknob for super easy access! It's perfect! If you need a shoehorn, this is the only option in my book!
Excellent idea
May 22, 2017
This 24" extra long shoehorn is an excellent product for individuals that have shoulder, arm, spine, & hip arthritis, etc. By being 2 feet long, it makes it easier to put on shoes with less strain on the joints & spine. This is the second one that I have purchased in 6 months. The first one I purchased worked so well for the person for whom it was bought that I decided to purchase one for my father. I know that he will really appreciate the extra length come Sunday morning. The product is well made & I appreciate the company staying in touch to make sure that everything was a-okay.
Invaluable Aid

This shoehorn is 2 feet long, and is an invaluable aid for anyone who has difficulty reaching down to put on his/ her shoes. It's made of hard plastic, comes in many colors and has a nice handle. Highly recommended.
Wonderful Long Shoe Horn
March 28, 2016
This is a great shoe horn. As you get older, bending down all the time to get shoes on can be a pain. This is perfect to bend but not bend over. It's bright red so it's easily seen in a closet of dark clothing. It arrived on time and in good condition. I would definitely purchase from this seller again.
Worth the money! Buy it!
August 12, 2015
I chose this over cheaper variants. Once I received it, I could see why it was priced as it was. It is very durable and has the perfect amount of flex. My last one broke when using it with some heavy boots. You will have no such problems with this.I really like the long handle. It makes putting on shoes that much faster, without having to lean too far back. The handle is handy for hanging on a door handle.
So good I got another one!.

I am handicapped and my right hand doesn't work very well; neither does my right leg. As a result, putting on shoes is very difficult. I have had several long shoe horns and they last for a while but then...this all said, this shoe horn is wonderful. Unlike others, the "bowl" of the horn (the part that cups the heel) is wide enough to allow easy use no matter how clumsy one is. The plastic is very strong and feels really secure. I put on shoes sitting down; the horn is too short for use standing up but as I never use it that way it is perfect. I love this product.UPDATE: Because of my condition and my lack of mobility, I often need a shoehorn downstairs, away from where I keep my other one. This shoe horn is so wonderful and useful that I acquired another one! The strength of this shoehorn is critical and is tested on a daily basis simply because I cannot control how my full weight comes down on it. Not a problem!Because it is 24" long it can be conveniently kept out of sight until needed. I had reason, again, to thank my stars for the shoehorn this morning after a grueling day yesterday had robbed me of what little strength I had. This was like an extra pair of hands, helping me to get dressed. My fiancé, who is just fine (thank goodness), loves the Shacke shoehorn and it has become a wrestling match between us, each day, to see who gets to use it first. Because he is a big guy and sometimes has a back problem, using this shoehorn helps to prevent that problem from cropping up.Another note; should communication with the Shacke company be necessary they are wonderfully responsive and customer service seems to be a primary concern. I had no problem but asked a question via email. I got a polite, cheerful and informed response within minutes and they could not seem to want to do enough for me. Wonderful vendor, wonderful product...How great is that???Healthy or not, I couldn't recommend this product more highly.

This is the only shoehorn I'll ever need for the rest of my life, so no resells lol.
February 9, 2016
This is not your grandfather's shoehorn. Recently I've noticed I've been destroying the back of my dress shoes by trying to squeeze into them. I've not used a shoehorn in decades and decided to purchase one. This shoehorn is made out of solid piece of metal. I'm a pretty big guy and try my best with both hands to see if I could bend it a little bit. I could not! In my opinion the shoehorn is oversize which works well for me. The old smaller shoehorn's work but over time they would give way and often break. There's no way this one is getting way in going to break any time. In fact I'm confident I can give this shoehorn to my son as an heirloom. I feel sorry for the company because I really believe this is the only shoehorn i'll ever need for the rest of my life, so no resells lol. This shoehorn exceeded my expectations excellent product/
Superior product!
October 12, 2015
I primarily use a shoe horn to assist with putting on sports/running shoes that have a silicone heal insert. I use the shoe horn at the back of the heel as well as sliding around the side of the heel to keep the insert flat and a smooth fit.
I have used plastic shoe horns which end up sticking to the insert. Or the shoe horn breaks as I try to slide it around the heel. Small metal ones are ok but don't seem to slide around the heel well or to be comfortable to handle. This shoe horn really is great. It slides between my heel and back of shoe and around the heel between insert and shoe with ease. The shoe horn is comfortable to grip with its design and extra length. It also has a bit of weight to it which also adds to the comfort and security of wielding for multiple positions at the heel.
I recommend this product and will definitely purchase another if/when needed (which may be quite awhile as this shoe horn seems sturdy for the ages!)
Perfect Shoe Horn
February 19, 2015
Never gave any thought about whether I'd ever find myself writing a review about a shoe horn, a metal shoe horn. But I got this thing and not only is it a substantial shoe accessory, really heavy duty, but when you hold it in your hand you notice that it is perfectly balanced and pretty much a work of art. It's beautiful. I don't want to hide it in a drawer. Some possessions, big and small, just become your favorites. This was instant. I know....
If it looks like a shoe horn and acts like a shoe horn, it must be a shoe horn!
December 12, 2014
If it looks like a shoe horn and acts like a shoe horn, it must be a shoe horn! That's exactly what this is. There are no surprises.
It's exactly what I was looking for to help me get shoes onto my toddler's feet without having to twist their ankles this way and that and ultimately end up squishing the back of the shoe in along with their bunched up sock.
It was a reasonable price and is going to last a long time.

Length does matter
August 7, 2017
I was afraid the extra long shoe horn was an overkill, but I ended up really liking it over the shorter 7" model I was using. While the T style handle appears to be a good idea, I've found it to be a little awkward to use it as the designer intended. I just grip it below the handle like a normal shoe horn and it feels much better to me that way. Regardless of which way you decide to grip it, it's plenty long enough for you to do it either way.
Good product
July 14, 2017
I don't know how much I can gush about this product. I bought it and it does what I need it to do which is put on dress shoes for work. I think the real measure of any product like this is how long it lasts. If I am still using it five or ten years from now then I will consider it a great value.
Shoehorn is a sensible buy!
July 2, 2017
Good product at good price. Order contains two shoehorns to have one in two different locations is helpful. Comfortable handle design and light-weight plastic construction that I hope will last for a long time. At this time I would recommend this product.
Good Product, But Too Long
March 28, 2017
This was purchased for my 91-year old mother who sometimes needed assistance putting on her shoes. The shoehorn itself was great, and seemed to be well made. Unfortunately, it was much too long for her to use effectively from a seated position. A much small shoehorn would have been better. It would be a much better fit for a taller individual and used from a standing position.
Extra Long Handled Plastic Shoehorn
March 19, 2017
It arrived safely in a rather large box for it is somewhat long which is good for getting into high and tight boots! Problem is that you have to be very careful or maybe I do. It is after all plastic and not metal and even some of my metal shoehorns bend with the pressure exerted I have used this extra long handled shoehorn and it bends and I am afraid it may crack. Time will tell. Only used it once and it did bend. Maybe a little wider base would have helped. I am nervous that it may crack under pressure.
Works well after hip surgery
April 29, 2014
My husband had a hip replacement and needed a shoe horn. This one has worked well. There's a comfortable grip at the top, and the length of the shoe horn allows my 5'-10" husband to stand up, hold on to something for stability, and use the shoe horn to get his foot into his shoe. He likes it.The company has strongly encouraged people who bought their product to either contact the company to resolve problems, or provide an appropriate review of the product and the customer service. I had no contact with the customer service department of the company. Since the product was delivered promptly, has worked well, and seems sturdy, I'm giving it 4 stars.

March 9, 2017
I'd buy it again but it's a bit wide for my Allen Edmonds shoes. It feels a bit like it's not curved quite enough and I'm rather concerned that it will distress the leather over time. Otherwise it has a nice heft, solid feel, will definitely lose it before it breaks or anything like that.
Better than paying the same for plastic
March 9, 2017
I mean... it works. It's probably a bit overpriced for a piece of stamped sheet metal, but still. Better than paying the same for plastic.
but it actually works better for me
September 15, 2016
I decided on this shoe horn because it was made in the USA. It is a little longer than I was looking for, but it actually works better for me. It has been getting more difficult to get my shoes on, so decided to give it a try. For anyone who may have difficulty (mine happens to be age) bending to get your heel down in a shoe, I would certainly recommend using a shoe horn.It appears a shoe horn is thought of as a tool for men, as recommendations sent to me included other products for men, but someone should tell the computer otherwise. Also, it assumes the "product" is a pair of shoes.
rather good horn, albeit expensive
October 19, 2015
I've a number of shoe horns at various locations (home, condo, travel trailer), and have had the plastic variety break easily. So, metal is preferable. Such must be thick enough to resist deforming, which a horn I purchased at a Walmart did within a dozen uses, yet sufficiently svelte to function without obstructing shoe entry. I've 2 from Amazon, with one being a less expensive plain unit that works fine though can pinch at the unbeveled edges - no big deal but this "professional" horn seems to justify the expense by having no faults (thin, rigid, smooth edges).

May 26, 2015
Awesome shoe horn. Very sturdy and well-made. The edges are indeed smooth; not rough or machined poorly. The shoe horn itself is silky smooth too, especially when wearing thin dress socks. Size is a bit big and wide. This is not something you can tote around in your pocket but it will fit nicely in a briefcase/messenger bag or suitcase. As someone else mentioned, I am a bit concerned about this digging into the rear of my shoes, as it makes contact with the edges and also the insole if you dig deep enough and it is strong metal. I wear a 10D. I have not noticed any damage yet but will keep an eye out.

April 21, 2017
The shoe horn part is too thick. It would work better if it was as thin as a metal shoe horn, but then it would be too weak and too flimsy since it is made of plastic. The length is perfect, since it is hard for me to bend over.
Good product but pricey.
April 14, 2017
Very easy to use. The blade is wide so it guides the foot into the shoe very well. The edges are smooth so they don't cut. The only problem is the price. It is but a long tube of plastic. The company has set the price too high. In my opinion, it should be somewhere $8 and below.
Too thick
March 31, 2017
Nice & sturdy but it was too thick & made it harder to use. I sent it back & I'm getting a metal one that is 1mm thick.
Limited utility for boots.
June 3, 2016
This is a rugged, expertly manufactured device. What prevents me from attributing four or five stars is hopefully not too difficult to rectify with your manufacturer. The device works flawlessly with shoes of a typical design. However, I purchased the device to ease my seventy-plus shoulder's stretching to slip into high-tech, elastic-elaborated snow boots. Unfortunately, the shoehorn is more of a hindrance than a resource for this purpose. The reason is the thinness of the device's heel trough. The device is obviously designed to be unisexual in application. Great for revenue; but I can't align my heel with the trough deep down in the boot. I can't feel the plastic's connection with my heel. For that purpose the trough needs to be another inch wide; another inch to accommodate the male heel, which typically is wider than the female heel. Hopefully you will expand your product line to rectify this deficiency.
Helpful, but flawed for my needs.
May 30, 2016
This shoe horn is helpful, but because it is plastic, while light weight, it is thick and bulky requiring extra room in the shoe to fit the fat swollen foot. Metal would be a better choice for my needs.
The shoe horn handle is very sturdy. The problem is that it is thick
July 29, 2015
The shoe horn handle is very sturdy. The problem is that it is thick, so my father, for whom we purchased the shoe, can't fit it into his shoe and get his foot in. We had to buy a skinnier one so he had room for the shoe horn in his shoe. His feet are swollen, but if you don't have swollen feet and have some wiggle room in your shoes, you probably won't have difficulty with this item.

Good, but maybe a bit wide
October 7, 2017
There are several shoe horns on the market of this nature; they're all clones and quite equal. Good metal, nice weight, will never wear out. But in one regard you need to be a little careful of these. Their problem is that they are a bit wide, and I think they could damage your shoe. Notice when you use one that the horn is about 20% wider than needed to open up the back of the shoe and let your foot slip in. Yep, it does let your foot slip in easily, but it also seems to put unnecessary stress on the shoe. At least for my foot (10 1/2 D). I ground down both sides of mine about 5/16" and polished the edges. Still seems a hair wide, but it works fine.

Was great for the first few weeks, and then it cracked and split, so it's fast becoming useless and I'll have to throw it out soon. A metal one would probably be a wiser choice.

To thick to use!
December 15, 2016
The plastic is thick enough that I can't fit my foot inside my showboat with it. I think I'm going to have to find a metal one that will be significantly thinner.
Didn't last as long as expected
November 29, 2016
Worked great for about a year with average use. (Maybe 3-4 times/week.)The plastic shoehorn ended up not being the best choice in the long run -- it broke into pieces while I was using it.I just ordered the replacement...metal this time.
Length ends up being a vice
June 20, 2016
Thought the length would be helpful for my elderly father so he would not need to bend over as much. However the length means that there is much more to hold at an angle. So you need more room frequently only accomplished by sitting at the very edge of a seat or bed with your legs extended out and bending over more to reach them ...all of which defeats the gain.

Not worth the extra just to get gold-colored

Bent after a few uses
July 30, 2016
This item bent after just a few uses. I rated it 2 stars since I was using it to put on 9-inch work boots as opposed to dress shoes. Maybe it was just not tough enough for what I needed, but being that it's metal I expected a bit more. The strength of this particular product lies in the shape of the shoe horn, not the material itself. Once it warped ever so slightly, the next use caused it to bent almost in half.
