I picked this charging cable up after and an unfortunate incident with the recliner in my living room cut the OEM cord. After some time I decided on this charger rather than some of the others on Amazon and I couldn't be more pleased.Pros: Cable is longer than OEM so I am able to run it from my surge protector at my desk to the spot on my bookshelf where I store the Wii-U tablet when not in use.It seems to charge faster than the OEM charger did.The Cons: It is grey rather than black. This is just me being nitpicky and not enough for me to rate less than five stars considering it seems to be performing better than the original but if it were black it would be much more aesthetically pleasing.

Looked everywhere to replace the cord for our gamepad. It was lost during a move. This works perfectly and it seems to be good quality. I saw a few replacements that were USB based like an iPhone charger but this is a regular cord just like the one the Wii U came with.

Works like a charm! My1 year old wii U remote charger just went out so had to order another one decided with something as simple as this to go generic as the Wii U charger only lasted a year anyways. This works perfect! I am a Prime customer and this was literally shipped to me with in a day just amazing and for the lowest price I could find anywhere.

Unlike the KMD 3000mAh rechargeable batter pack for Nintendo Wii that died within a month, this replacement power cord works just fine and has lived up to expectation.Seeking a deal on a battery and replacement power cord, I found myself on Amazon. Not sure whether my problem was the battery or cord (I was pretty sure it was the battery) I ordered this cord as well. An extra power cord always comes in handy. I have a box of "extra" power cords in the garage for all sorts of appliance and electronic gadgets. I love this alot I needed a new one so when I seen this it came in the mail fast didn't take 2 long and it came nice box up and I had have this for about 2 years now and it works perfectly and never broke or mess up i love this im going buy 2 more coming up soon so I have more but I would definitely recommend this to anyone

I lost my charger for my Wii u gamepad. This one works great, just like the old one. It was a cheap replacement that I couldn't even purchase at game stop. I am very thankful for this charger. The only thing is it is a little fragile but for the price I payed it was definitely worth it and much more convenient than going through Nintendo to get a new one like game stop said I needed to do.

Came in pretty fast and works like a charm. Guys at Gamestop said i would have to call Nintendo for a replacement me charger as my nieces and nephews lost the original. This gave me another option and it only costed me 12 bucks, so i cant complain

We've only been using it for a couple of weeks but it seems just like the one that came with the Wii U game-pad.We will just leave it plugged into the cradle for charging instead of plugging it into the actual game-pad, from now on.(Our original one broke at the connection for that box there, presumably from flexing as my nephew moved around holding the game-pad.)I'll update if it fails, so you can know how long it lasted us and under what conditions.

Purchased a year and a half ago. It is no longer working and I have to buy a new one now, but it was pretty inexpensive.

The power cord is great for charging but has a flaw. The cord has a tendency to break at the bend point of charger where it plugs in. This is our third one so I have taken to reinforcing the cord at that point. With care it lasts and works well.

Look no further if your're not interested in buying the real thing, because you will get what you invested in. Very cheap for what it does. It will not last long until you will have to buy another charger..

Functions just under par. The charger produces just enough energy to allow the gamepad to "hold" its charge at the low power setting. It immediately begins having an epileptic spasm of changing the brightness of the screen. This is where I have deduced that it is capable of the absolute minimum necessary charge. When the battery light comes on, you plug in your charger, but because the charger is weak it can only power it enough to the point where it is into the "normal" playing threshold (where the screen is maximum brightness and the light is orange or blue). The moment the gamepad switches over to the brighter setting the charger can no longer supply the necessary power to maintain and the seizure-inducing effects begin.

It charges my gamepad properly, but I have an issue where the gamepad screen will flicker if I leave it to charge while I play on it. It's kind of a pain. It really hurts my eyes to watch the screen during that time - I'm forced to leave it be while I go do something else and allow it to charge.

This charger works but it's a little shorter than the original. It's not as smooth to plug in like the original and it doesn't come in an original box. Which bothered me a little, I thought it would at least have a box from third party seller but just came in a Baggie and Amazon package.

Lasted for about 6 months but throughout the process it would randomly make the gamepad screen start flashing and frayed easily. At least it gets the job done.

Worked only for a short while (maybe a month) then had to replace again. I won't purchase again.

we bought this in August and to replace my sons other replacement that didn't last .The other reviews sounded good .But this one has also not lasted and I have had to buy another replacement from another company and its only December ! I'm disappointed as a simple charging cord should last much longer !

Lasted about 3 months. Flimsy connection wire broke at the base of the connector. Did charge the gamepad, but I would be wary if you plan on having your children playing and moving around the unit while it's charging. If it is stationary while charging you may have no issues. Try telling that to a child who want's to play though........

As with most reviews this is a cheap product. The charger does not produce enough power to properly charge the gamepad. The screen will flicker if you play it while charging. It seems to be okay if you leave the gamepad off and charge.I generally leave it plugged into my cradle and charge the gamepad while its off.It works, but I would spend the extra money on a better quality product.

Bought two of these in the hopes that I wouldn't have to buy again anytime soon. However, in the last three months both of these have begun failing at the side that plugs into the Wii U game pad. The cord has to be positioned 'just so' in order to function correctly. Faulting copper inside the insulation I suppose. Now here I am buying another couple of these plugs.

The plugs that go into the wall are a little thin so there are sparks when you plug it in. It is also loose, so it just falls out from it's own weight. Not safe! Would not buy again!

The charger arrived fast and that was great, but the chargers don't last. I ordered two on my first order so I'd have a backup, after a month both had stopped working. The charger end that plugs into the gamepad gets sloppy and then wont charge. My second order I ordered 3 knowing they would break but not having another option or brand I couldn't get anything else. After a while the battery on the gamepad just doesn't last so you have to have the pad plugged in to play. This is how they ware out, you cant move these plugs at all or they stop working the metal is just to thin. Another company just made a Wii U game pad charger and I ordered that one. Sadly I wish I didn't have to order another as I've bought 5 of these and they sit in a pile useless and I have a game system I cant use because the chargers just don't work for long. Wasted my money! Step up the quality and don't sell a product that doesn't last!

I ordered 4 of these. My son had ripped the original ac adapter in 2 so I was in need of a replacement and also wanted to get some extras (my son likes to roam with the gamepad.) I bought the first 2 and they were working fine. A couple weeks later I ordered the other 2. Within less than a month the first 2 stopped working. I thought it was strange, but figured maybe something had happened. When the next 2 came they didn't work right out of the box. I thought that the game pad might be broken so I sent it in to Nintendo for repairs. When the game pad came back none of the adapters worked still and I thought maybe Nintendo hadn't properly repaired my game pad. They recommended I maybe borrow a friend's factory AC adapter to see if it was maybe the 4 off brands. I thought for sure this would be ridiculous, but decided to do this today. I couldn't believe it but the game pad charges perfectly. The 4 chargers all just died or don't work. I think this is the first review I've ever had to write, because I know things happen, but 4 of these in a row is just too much even for me. I can't recommend this to anyone and I'd suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

This is a poor quality product: it does not charge the pad, the box part heats up extensively when plugged in. Returning and never buying from this seller again.

I understand many people will want to buy this charger because its so cheap compared to the 20 dollar original version. However, when used, the cable was a lot shorter therefore relying on the cradle dock to charge my gamepad. It was that or i needed an extension cord for those marathon runs . I would have given it a decent rating, but like other reviewers, it simply stopped working! I would nudge and twist the end of the cable and it would work but all of a sudden it would stop altogether. Finally, it does not charge steadily as i need to lower the brightness on the gamepad screen or else it would start to flicker. I know its rough without one since you pretty much need it to play zombiu, deus ex, netflix, and even youtube. The only reason i bought this is because my dog chewed on my previous one. Save your money and shipping, suffer withdrawl symptoms for a little while and order the original.

Unfortunately, I had the same problem as others. The screen flickers, the gamepad won't work properly and it won't charge. I don't think I've ever reviewed an item to 1 star and I wish I hadn't now. I decided to order an official charger from Nintendo.
