May 20, 2015: These handcuffs are double-lock cuffs and come with two keys. They are heavy, solid metal. The loops are small. I am Asian and have small wrists. They just barely wrap around my wrists. Since I don’t have another Amazon handcuffs to compare with these, I will leave it at a five star rating. Just be aware that they are small cuffs. There is no instruction with the cuffs. You can view how to double-lock video on YouTube. Here’s the “how to double-lock” instructions to save you time.

The keys have a protruding pin at one end for the double-lock. One end of the cuff is the key hole for unlocking the cuffs. On the side of the opposite end, there is a pin flush with the cuff. To double-lock, you push the cuff pin in with the pin on the key. To unlock a double-locked cuff, you turn the key counter clock-wise to push the cuff pin back out then you turn the key clock-wise to disengage the gears.

These were bought for my kids, they are just not interested in the "toy" version. They love them and this is the second pair we have bought we always keep a spare key on key ring because these are real cuffs and we don't want to have an inccident. They make my kids happy they are durable a Mom's dream of entertaining her kids with a good game of cops.

These are very sturdy. However, after playing around with them for quite a while, the opening that allows the cuff to be closed will narrow. In order to get the action smoothed out again, I had to take a pair of scissors (any sturdy piece of metal will work, NOT KEYS they will bend!) and insert them in the space and slowly pry it apart. Besides that, you can't go wrong with these, especially at $12. Yes, they double lock.

bought these for the bedroom...they double lock so they don't continue to squish my wrists...they work great :) comes with 2 keys, very sturdy metal...they're kinda heavy because the metal is very strong...worth every penny!

These Hand-cuffs are very good. Great Quality, Very durable, very solid. Nothing cheap. These seem just like the ones Law Enforcement uses. I had already bought 1 pair and I had to by another pair. I now own 2 pairs. I do Private Security and I have used them quite a few times, and they worked perfectly fine. Some of my other fellow Officers liked them and will order some as well. I will definetely recommend them. Well Worth your Money.

This is a child's toy, arrived fast on Prime, worked as described and my grandson enjoyed playing with them and his new police uniform. They are not adults cuffs and have lasted since purchased, but if abused they will break because they are a child's toy!

These were purchased for a kid to be used with a Halloween costume - for the price, I think they're great. With two young boys, I've had plenty of those plastic handcuffs that pretty much fall apart within 2 or 3 days of my kids "arresting" each other. These are some type of metal (not heavy, but not as light as plastic, either). They're very sturdy, yet still easy to get off, with or without the key. The keys do work. And it's been nearly a month since Halloween, and still no tears because the handcuffs are broken.

Used as a prop but they are real. Can rust and get grimy though so be careful

Not bad for the price. Smaller than the average pair of handcuffs. Zak tool handcuff key doesn't unlock my pair. Basically cops don't buy these but everyone else they'll get the job done unless you have huge wrists.

These are viable handcuffs but aren't quite service quality. Having said that, they would work for what they're intended to do. For the price, these cuffs are a good deal. If I wanted the best quality for the most money, I would have purchased Smith and Wesson brand cuffs. I'm satisfied with these and plan on keeping them in my gear bag.

Bought these for a music video where the whole purpose was to break them. They break very easily with relatively minimal force. If you're going for that, they're perfect!

I am a play therapist and my kids love to use these during session! It has a release button that is easily accessible, in case you can't find the key. They have a good weight to them that helps them feel real. I would order these again!

They're not police grade but the handcuffs do exactly what they are supposed to. Once handcuffed, a person can not simply wiggle their wrist around to break free but they do have a safety latch so if you need to get out and have misplaced the keys, etc, you can get get out.

These handcuffs are definitely better than most kids ones, but I had read all the reviews and so I was expecting a little bit better quality. These are metal- but I actually had to look closely because the metal is sooo thin it actually looks/feels like plastic. It is still a very cheap toy but at least they haven't broken yet, so they are better than the plastic (those lasted 5 minutes in our house of two boys) My boys have been rather careful with them but have used them quite a bit and they havent bent or broken. They dont really use the keys- as they dont work well - they just use the quick release. I gave it four stars because of the price and they are the best play ones I have found to date that are relatively cheap.

Good quality much better than expected. Had hoped to add to my children's costume but too sturdy. Which is good thing. I will buy them cheaper one and keep these.

These are smaller than normal handcuffs and they are not good quality. They are ok and if you are buying them for play just keep in mind that your intended subject should have small wrists/ankles.

One of my double locks will not function. I tried forcing one of the key pins into the pin hole until it broke the pin on the key. Maybe it is seized. The other double lock works just fine. If the cuffs arrived functional I would have given four stars. The cuffs had no oil on them and they were very discolored. All in all, they will serve their purpose as restraints.

Great training cuffs for practise cuffing or for law enforcement explorers. These feel cheap though and I would definitely not recommend them for duty use. If your in law enforcement or security spend the extra money for S&W model 100's or peerless cuffs

The cuffs do not come w/the key holes on the same side, so they aren't as applicable to the work environment as I would have hoped. I can use them as a back-up, though, so it was def. not a waste. I would not recommend these for official law enforcement/corrections work as a main use item, but they are not that bad for other uses.

MTECH is a good company but these cuffs are not.. At first glance they look like good quality cuffs but they really aren't. For starters, They definitely aren't law enforcement regulation. The cuff set up is kinda like copy and paste. Correct cuffs should be able to have both key holes facing up with the openings in the same direction, for easy use. For example, while open, the cuffs shouldn't look like an 'n' and 'u' are next to each other, if that makes since to you. They should be just like a 'u' and 'u' with both key holes facing up. Secondly, these cuffs feel slightly flimsy and not as strong as regulation cuffs. Lastly, the joints of the cuffs aren't very strong.In general, these cuffs are basically a stronger version of a kids toy.These cuffs will probably do the job but may not last long.

As soon as I opened the box I knew from the weight and feel these should never be used if your life depends on it. They are the lightest cuffs I have ever felt, and seem very loose. Be very careful if you decide to use these for their actual purpose.

These are cheap toy handcuffs. I just have them in the costume/pretend play bin. My sons like them....not sure how long it'll be before they break though.

Ordered these for one of my nieces. She likes the ones that have keys. These were a good price for a package with 2 sets. They are easy to open even if you do not have the key. The only thing with them was that they came apart from the cuff to the chain several times while she and her cousins were playing with them. This was easily fixed by her taking them to her dad but not what you want within hours of taking out of the package. She liked them and even with that she and cousins had hours of fun at the BBQ where I gave them to her. As long as your wrists are not overly large these will easily fit without pinching. A couple of the guys at the BBQ were not able to fit them around their wrists.

These work fine for kids play handcuffs. Metal, realistic looking. Good quality working keys to open them and safety open switch too. I removed one star because, as others have already commented, with even minor use the links between the handcuffs open up and the handcuffs separate. All in all, still a decent purchase that my kids love to use when playing police.

Got the cuffs and I can't understand why people would rate these cuffs good quality they are junk I could probly break them I haven't tried but they are not good quality!

These are not REAL handcuffs. These are cheap Chinese handcuffs. But seemingly will hold a detainee if absolutely necessary.
They are constructed of pop metal. And do not mirror eachother when hinged open like handcuffs should. Mine are 2 right hand cuffs chained together.
If u actually expect to use real handcuffs spend the extra $20 and get he legit stuff. I would recommend safari land, smith and wesson, or pearless handcuff brands.
All pricy but quality if u expect to actually use them.
This pair I bought will only be used for training and playing with my kids.

Bought the product and worked great for a month. Later, one of the cuffs locking mechanism jammed and wouldn't open with the key. Key broke inside and used the spare to open it. Now they are useless. Return window has closed.

I am not sure how much these could take. The weak point where the chain and cuff meet appear to be poor workmanship.

This handcuff are not very well made, they are very thin and broke within a few hrs of using them.

Pretty cheap. I guess I should have expected this, but I have seen better kid's handcuffs.

Would be 4 stars but I only received 1 handcuff (description says 2 pack) and there where no keys included. I understand they are toys so build quality is as expected, but at least you should get what you think you are paying for.

I bought this cheap handcuffs thought they might last. They broke within a month. I guess you get what you pay for. I thought they might be a little stronger than what they are. They are pretty thin metal. My kid did enjoy playing with them until they broke.

Clearly made a kid's toy, but chain broke dropping it out of the package it came in. Didn't really have high expectations as this was for a Halloween costume. One use and done. Keys are superfluous as the handcuffs release by lever on cuffs themselves. For what I wanted it did the job, but I can't imagine these would hold up to even the most basic of actual kid play.

THIS IS NOT FOR DUTY USE. POTENTIAL OFFICER SAFETY THREAT. These cuffs are not easy to put on and does require more than needed when trying to detain an individual. If this included no stars I would put it. I don't usually write reviews but since this involves officer safety, it must be known.

The handcuffs were not made properly :-( which made them unusable in the field. Not cop quality

Not worth the money, just cough up a few extra bucks for Peerless. Extremely thin steel that seems like it would be even more uncomfortable than real cuffs. Don't trust these with your life, and find something more comfortable for your love life.

Unless you want to get in trouble, don't buy this if you're a law enforcement agent. This is a cheap imitation , once you put it on , you're going to have a hard time removing it. You can only use the key that comes with it.

I only got one pair but it was supposed to come with 2 pairs.

Broke the second day we had them. If purchasing for kids to play with, look elsewhere!!!

These things are not worth the time, energy, effort ect. My son who is obsessed with playing police man is heartbroken over these. What a HUNK OF JUNK!

I was looking for a toy for my 4-year old grandson, this is not a toy. it may be an adult toy but not for kids. The keys won't unlock the cuffs so it is very risky to have the child play with it. This is going back.
