Comfortable
May 1, 2017
The original insole must be taken out of your shoe before you insert this. This is the first time I've used insoles so I had to learn the hard way. They also kind of need to be broken into so the first two or three days may be rough depending on how much you walk with them.Other than that, these are definitely comfortable and they don't slide around. I'm wearing men's size 7 DC high tops for those that would like to compare
Best Sol Sole Product For Me
April 29, 2017
For me, this is the best overall Sof Sole product. I've tried three others. (There's nothing wrong with the others, they are exactly as described.) I now have two pairs of the Airr Orthotic. One is in my primary walking shoes. The other is in my primary training shoes. I have a normal arch, stand over 6 feet tall and weigh over 200 pounds. I put these Sof Soles in 12 4E New Balance shoes. You feel the positive difference immediately. So far the soles are withstanding the activities I'm putting them through. I strongly recommend.

These insoles are so comfortable! I have a couple of shoes that look great, but are extremely uncomfortable after a long day on my feet. I was starting to look for more comfortable shoes but decided to try these first; and I'm very glad I did! After long days my feet are no longer sore.I ordered men's size 13-14 for my size 13 shoes, and was worried they might be too big but they fit perfectly. They do make your shoes a little tighter as they add to the bottom of the shoe, but it didn't cause a problem with any of the pairs that I used them with.
Best insole I've found. Sizing is a little weird in Timberland boots.

Great insole.I wear two boots:Timberland PRO Titan Pro 6" soft toe, Toffee, 10.5 MTimberland PRO Men's 53009 Wedge Sole 6" Soft-Toe Boot,Rust,10.5 MIf you use these inserts in the mens size 10.5 Titan, you'll want to order the Size 11 - 12.5 insole or you'll feel the tip of the insole under your big toe. the 9 - 10.5 are too short for the size 10.5 Titan. Super comfortable, but just too short. I hate feeling the edge of the insole under my toe walking downhill. If you use these inserts in the 10.5 Wedge Sole, you'll want to order the Size 9 - 10.5. They fit perfectly.I travel for my job. I spend hours on concrete floors in data centers and large residences. I love the Timberland boots, but would wear the insoles out in 6 months. These insoles seem to keep my boots alive for at least a year. So for about $20, My boots last twice as long.As for comfort -These have saved my feet, back and knees.I'm 5'11, 200 lbs.Stand 8 - 14 hours a day. Lots of time walking in airports and on concrete.these have been the best combo I've found for long wearing comfort.Obviously every single person is different, but for me this combo is an absolute winner.
Long lasting
March 14, 2016
This is the 2nd pair that I have purchased. The 1st pair lasted for 3 years with pretty much daily use. I worked in a clinic all day so I needed something to help support my arch and these insoles did an amazing job. I wear a size 11 and they fit perfectly in my Asics running shoes.
Seems a quality orthotic for my issues and fits shoes perfectly
February 16, 2016
It took me a few days to get used to these but now they seem just fine. I don't have arch problems so I am not able to comment much on that. I have had plantar fasciatus or heel pain problems in the past and these have a padded region right at the heel that should help if it ever redevelops. That past is why I purchased these. I wear size 11 shoes and they fit inside my shoes perfectly. I exclusively own Ecco shows for daily use. These fit my feet well. I cannot speak for other shoe manufacturers but for Ecco sneakers these orthotic inserts fit their size 11 shoes perfectly. Time will tell how they age over time. They seem to be quality items and so far I am very happy with them. I will purchase them again if the need arises for me to get more. I can't speak to arch support as I do not have arch problems at this time but they do seem to have arch support but I don't notice it as I don't have arch problems, at least not yet.

Save your feet from uncomfortable shoes!
September 15, 2017
These are legit, thin enough to put into sneakers and will help out with any foot pain you get from being on your feet all day. They don't seem to offer a lot of cushion, but I guess even a little bit helps. Used to get a similar one from Aldo, I'm guessing the same factories make these and different companies just stamp their brand on it.
Much better than factory supplied inserts.
September 11, 2017
Well made, thin replacement liner. No odor issues. Long lasting. Far out lasting any original insole I've ever used. I begin to notice a drop off in the cushioning in the ball of the foot area after about 6 months or so. These add a subtle but noticeable layer of comfort that lasts all day.Thin enough so that toe crowding is a non issue. About the same thickness as the insert in a running shoe. In my work boots I put this under my REDI Thotics inserts for additional cushioning.Been using them since 2002.
Great Insoles!
March 28, 2017
These are great. I purchased these to use in my Red Wing Iron Ranger boots. The boots have a leather insole and eventually conforms to your feet but for me it was still a little hard with no cushioning. I wanted something to add cushioning to the whole sole and wasn't looking for additional arch support like a lot of inserts have. These work perfectly. They provide a very comfortable cushioning to the sole but are also thin enough so that they do not make the boots too tight. I'm extremely happy with these and they are priced great as well. I've already ordered another pair for some other boots.

This looks like a mouse pad that was cut into the shape of an insole. Take your mouse pad and step on it. If you like how it feels then I would recommend this insole to you.
Simple quality, not to thick, does the trick.
September 27, 2014
Hard to find a simple insole in a large size. Spenco is great quality, and I Couldn't be happier. Most of my shoes are 'low volumne' meaning not a ton of foot space, I wear slightly padded socks in all but my dress shoes. I don't run or jog, just everyday wear / walk so I didn't want someone with a fancy gel/reinforced heel cup for impact and then no padding up front. I can cut these to fit any shoe, and I love em.Ordered 3 more to have on hand for future shoes. Some shoes come with really nice insoles these days, like my Rockports and Timberlands, but a lot of there's pretty much expect you to put your own insoles in.
Won't change the contour of the footbed of your shoe or adversely affect your biomechanical gait.
January 21, 2013
I find that I often need added cushion in both my running and casual shoes.I have purchased numerous brands and styles of insoles in an effort to find a suitable pair. Each pair had its own unique contour. This is a major problem. When a second contour is overlayed upon the existing contour of the footbed of a shoe, an entirely new contour is formed, totally altering the biomechanical effect of that running or walking shoe on the human gait. The original design of the best of shoes is severely compromised in this way.The Spenco Rx Comfort Insole, on the other hand, is a simple insole. It is of uniform thickness throughout. It has no contour of its own. It is very flexible. It overlays the existing footbed of your shoe with a uniform layer of added cushion. It does not change the contour of your shoe's footbed or alter the biomechanics of your running or walking gait as the other types of insoles do.I generally insert this insole between the footbed of the shoe and the original insole that came with the shoe.I should be noted that a tight-fitting shoe may not allow enough room for an additional layer of cushioning. This may not matter if you are removing a worn-out insole and replacing it with the Spencos. If, however, you are adding the extra layer between, as I generally do, you will need a more generous fitting shoe to accomodate the addition of the extra insole.I have a pair of hiking boots that would not comfortably accomodate an extra insole along with the existing insole. With this particular boot, I found it suitable to remove the existing insole and use two layers of the Spenco insoles. The boot accomodated this configuration very comfortably.

Amazing Cushioning
May 27, 2017
Had to trim lots for my size 8 1/2 feet from the 8-11 insole. The insoles are so thick that they crowd my feet in my shoes. I expect that I'll need to buy shoes a half size larger to accommodate. Still, my feet are very tender and since the skin is prone to rubs and hot spots I appreciate the extreme level of cushioning these insoles provide. They are probably the thickest insoles I've ever seen. Arch is sufficient for my fairly high arched feet, quite comfortable. Those with low arches my not be as enthused.

April 21, 2017
I bought these to use with my orthotics to provide some cushion. However, these insoles already have a stiffened heel which made it harder to wear with my other orthotics. I decided to just use these by themselves without orthotics and they are pretty comfortable while providing some support to my arches.
They're great if you like memory foam!
April 2, 2017
So these are nice and cushiony, at first. I just don't like memory foam because it settles and loses its "spring". If you don't mind that you'll love them.

March 27, 2017
I ordered these to put in a pair of boots that I intend to wear while walking around Paris for a week. I haven't had the chance to try them out in that situation yet, but I've put them in my boots and worn them to work and so far, so good! It did make the fit significantly tighter (the liner that WAS in the boot was very thin), but since the boots are leather, I'm sure additional wear will help them loosen up a bit.

November 25, 2016
On paper these should have fit my 11 1/2 shoes just fine but I found them to be a bit of a tight fit. That said, after some finagling I was able to get the inserts in properly. After about 30 minutes of walking around in them they seemed to form to the rest of the shoe and they have fit inside the shoe just fine ever since.I got these shoes because I work in retail and was tired of coming home with sore feet. I was going to buy some new shoes but decided to go this route instead as I actually like my current shoes lol. The effect of the insoles was immediate. My feet feel just fine after I get home from work now.My only real complaint is that they raise my feet up just enough that my heel will pop out of my shoe in certain situations, like going up stairs or something similar. It's not a big deal but one worth mentioning I think.Overall fantastic insole that gets the job done for sure and for 20 bucks, can't go wrong with that!I may look into another insole or a different size because it WOULD be nice if my heel stayed inside my shoes at all times...
Not Perfect, but Very Good
October 17, 2015
This review was preceded by questions about the fit of "this shoe." These are not shoes; these are insoles. They are too thick for the shoes they were intended to fill, however, they turned out to be perfect for a similar pair of shoes that were too loose. I can now wear this second pair of shoes comfortably for long periods. The insoles provide excellent arch support. The shoe size I wear is at the bottom of the measurement range (8-11). As a result, I had to cut a sizeable portion of the length and width. This was challenging and ended up cutting into specialized support areas. It would be my recommendation for anyone else at the low end of a size range to select the next smaller size range and hopefully avoid the need to resize them.

December 30, 2016
These were bought based on a recommendation from a therapist. My wife has been using these in her shoes on her mile walks every other day. They seems to be giving her some relief from sore knees and are holding up better than cushioning insoles bought at the drug store (so far). She is satisfied with the product and is planning on purchasing more.

These worked for me in certain shoes, but I didn't like them enough to re order and went back to a previous brand I've used. They do the job though, so they're a four.
Very comfortable
October 1, 2013
I bought 3 pairs of the Spenco comfort insoles, and I'm glad I did. It's just a matter of cutting and making adjustments (if necessary) so that the insoles can fit comfortably within the shoe, I actually placed the insoles on the floor, placed my foot on top of it, and marked it up before cutting it to size. It worked just fine :)It makes a difference when inserting these insoles; a soothing comfort when walking.
Ok but they tend to get smelly from perspiration
February 27, 2013
I got several pairs of these to replace the molded insoles that came with shoes I bought which I found extremely uncomfortable. These do the job of cushioning for me much better than those formed insoles which have arch supports that are in the wrong place for my feet. But they do get smelly from perspiration, and the pair I had in my boots smelled the worst after a few wearings. I did wash the insoles and try a foot spray on them which helps a little to keep the odor down.
Professionally packaged, slightly on small size, medium durability
February 2, 2012
Title says it all. Overall I have and will purchase these again.Packaging - Professional and nice with green plastic sleeve with brand clearly marked.Size - Seems slightly on the small side but still fit fine. I wear a men's size 8.5 which is squarely in the middle of the stated range for this insert but there was still a little room for the insole to move around insides my shoes. I purchased 4 of these and put them in 4 different sneakers and it was a similar experience in 3 of the 4 so I don't think it was just the shoe.Durability - Medium. I have had my oldest insert for more than a month and while it is holding up, I have noticed a decline in the cushioning effect.

I have rather sensitive arches and they were not very comfortable for my feet
September 1, 2017
The product is well made but did not fit my shoe well enough to retain. I have rather sensitive arches and they were not very comfortable for my feet. The main issue is that it is zero returns. Only 1 was in 1 shoe for 5 minutes to know it wasn't for me. Sorry, but shoe stores have feet in shoes and are walked around a lot more than this and I can still return stuff. Not made of cash but with zero returns and a useless product I donated them to Houston.Just to clarify, the product was well made and quality from what little I could see of it before boxing it up.
Not good for high arches
July 7, 2017
They are ok and better than stock insoles, however only marginally. I've had them in my daily ware shoes for a few weeks. They're good quality but don't suit my needs. I have high arches and these don't do much for me. if you're condition is the same I would try something else.

I tried them in 4 different shoes and it made the front section of my shoe, tight. I'm a 7.5 medium. And yes, i did remove the pad inside my shoes. I used it for Zumba and my foot hurt during and after class. I kept using it for 2 months but it's still a problem. The heel is definitely comfortable.

June 2, 2017
These are ok. They don't give a lot of arch support, nor does it have a great heel cup to keep your heel from sliding around in the shoe. They are pretty spongy soft and way better than most supports that come with the shoe. I don't think I'd buy these again due to the lack of really good support.
Too Thick for My Slip-On Shoes!
January 23, 2017
I wish I had read this before I purchased. I bought a pair of these insoles to put in my "slip-on" work shoes. The height of these insoles makes my feet feel smashed up against the top of the shoe - so much so that I have to take my feet out of my shoes when I'm sitting at my desk. Because my shoes are "slip-on," they don't have laces that can be loosened to provide more room. I'd like to return them because of this, but I had to trim them before I could even try to fit them into the shoe. I'll post back if I'm allowed to return/exchange them for something thinner. They do feel soft and supportive, but the crushing of my foot is what I feel most.

After 1 year the gel pads in the insoles are still good, but the top of the insole where my foot touches gets worn through. After my most recent gel insoles wore out, I thought I'd try these "Airr Orthotic" insoles. I personally don't need the orthotic support but thought the air bubble might provide even more cushioning. I was wrong. The air bubble does nothing for me and the reinforced arch feels weird. If I can't get used to these within another month, I'm tossing them out and going back to the Athlete model.

Good standard insole replacement. But because they're basic, not sure why they're carrying the premium price tag of enhanced insoles like Doctor Scholl's.

5 stars for having alot of cushion. They are comfortable. But they get 2 stars for odor. I don't normally have a foot odor problem but with these inserts, I find it to be a big problem. I've had them for 2 months and wear them in dress shoes 1-2 times a week.

These are flat padding with no support features for arch or heel. I tried these because my normal insoles (Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runners) did not fit in my new Clarks desert boots. So far these feel fine. The cushioning is sufficient so that my plantar fasciitis is not being aggravated. If it turns out I need more arch support I will try the Spenco Arch Cushion insoles, but I did not get those initially because I was worried they would be too thick like the Walker/Runners.Twice the price of Dr. Scholl's Air-Pillo insoles.

Wouldn't recommend for flat or larger feet.
October 17, 2017
Quite simply stated. You slip around on these. VERY bad cover material. This gets to be a problem when you are wearing shoes with a proper toe box that allows proper toe room. When going down hills, your feet slip up and it can hurt.Going up hills seems a bit more comfortable.Cushioning is OK, but very little arch support.
Bubble in heel bothers me.
September 27, 2017
Please be advised that these, along with all insoles, are not eligible for returns, regardless of if it says "FREE returns" next to the price. These insoles are very thick, too thick for the shoes I wanted them in (and yes, the original insoles came out). They have a bubble in the heel that is annoying to stand on, though it may be good for running or other sport activities. I ordered a larger size for trimming, but were barley long enough and would not have been long enough had I been at the top of the range (size 7-8.5). Maybe those that gave the feedback that they run big are referring to the thickness of these insoles.

First time I put them on, it was wow, these are great. I even ordered two more for my other shoes. Wore them to work my 10 hour shift inside my shoes, and by the end of the shift, I was taking them out. Pain in my heel and toe. I will try with other shoes, but did not live up to the promise of the initial try.
Unsure About These
March 15, 2017
So far these insoles have been a mixed bag. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis along with lower back pain. Based on the reviews these seemed like the insoles for me. Once I put them in my shoes however, things didn't go as planned. I don't know if it's my shoes or the insoles, but my feet now rub against the top of my shoes causing quite a bit of discomfort. I had to switch to thinner socks to reduce this.It might be too soon to tell if these insoles are working, as I'm still getting used to them. so far I'm unsure if I could recommend these. Hopefully in a month or so I'll have a more concrete answer.
Not comfortable.
March 10, 2017
These are not comfortable. They feel very stiff and are very heavy. I took these out and put the original sole back in.I could definitely feel a weight difference when I had these in. Enough to really notice when wearing running shoes. It might be less noticeable in boots or work shoes.
Size 8-11 is not for size 8, way too big.
December 20, 2016
I wear a size 8 in women's athletic shoes. These were huge. There are no guidelines to trim down. Even if I tried to trim it, the cuts would go into the gel support. I sent these back and reordered the smaller one. I slipped these into a size 10 men's shoes and it fit....

The original shoe inserts work best for me
August 6, 2017
Problem is spacing since my arthritic feet need a little more support and I have to pull out the original shoe inserts to give clearance to my enlarged toe joints. My podiatrist suggested these Spenco inserts, but I won't be using them or ever purchase them again. The original shoe inserts work best for me. My shoes come from Nunn Bush, Sketchers, and Nike.
Disappointed
June 15, 2017
Felt super thin and flat, not comfortable at all. No arch support, no cushion, and feet were super sore after wearing these for most of the day. I don't understand HOW these got such high reviews. I haven't gone through the refund process yet, which I imagine won't be possible since we'd already used them.

These are so thin and terrible. Can't even tell they are there (in a bad way). Waste of money. Offers no support.
Not as good as they used to be!!!
November 19, 2015
It's good cushioning for bad heals but they wear out too soon (like 3 months). The same ones I bought 5 years ago would last at least 2 years at a time. I just had to buy thin Dr. Scholls to cover the tops of them so they will last longer because my socks cause little beads to form on the Spenco's which bothers my feat but oddly enough it's always the left insole that wears out faster. Very disappointing Spenco!!

Looks can be deceiving
September 25, 2017
So I bought these last week. I bought them because I thought they looked really really comfortable. I work in a job that requires me to stand on my feet 7.5 hrs out of 8 everyday on concrete floors. Maybe my feet are just too far gone, but these are probably the most uncomfortable insoles that I’ve ever worn in a pair of shoes before. It could just be me tho which is why I’m not returning them. But I don’t recommend them for someone with severe plantar fasciitis like I’ve got.

Not sure why all the positive reviews on these. Purchased these instead of some sof soles because of all the hype I read. But after 30 minutes of standing with these insoles they provided no extra comfort. It was as if they weren't there. O except for the fact that they are the same thickness all the way through so they cram your toes to the top of your shoes. So not only did they fail at making my shoes more comfortable they actually made them a pain to wear. Ripped them out and was lucky enough to find some nice sof soles on sale at a local Marshalls. I've been wearing them and they do the job right.

April 21, 2016
I had originally gotten this insole to work in my everyday work shoes that I worn the original insole out pretty well. I got these being that they were cheap, had a good rating and by some miracle had my size (15).Getting them I realized they were a bit thin, the size was accurate for a size 15 but it was just not much to them. I gave it the benefit of the doubt seeing how highly it was rated on amazon.Immediately i felt kind of underwhelmed with the insoles installed, it felt similar to the 1 year plus old insoles the shoes originally came with in their dilapidated state, but whatever these looked nice.A week into wearing them I had a wedding where i was on my feet dancing/drinking what have you all night while wearing these. The next day my feet were in horrible pain. I thought i just pulled something in the wedding, and rested and worked to heal my feet over the next 2 weeks. Over that 2 week span the pain seemed to remain constant if not worse some days and I started looking into going to a doctor when I starting remembering these insoles were new. I did not think much being that they went without incident for the week before the wedding but they were a change.I looked online and bought another high rated insole from Amazon, that was admittedly more than triple the price, but at this point i was just trying to detour a doctors visit. I got the new ones and within a day of walking on them my feet feel great again, like the 3 weeks of pain never happened. These insoles were just awful and not worth the pain they caused. I would highly suggest spending a bit more and getting a more quality insole if you plan on wearing them daily.
