I am dazzled!
September 21, 2017
This version of the Rollator is fantastic! It is indeed more light-weight than its older siblings.I am 76+ female senior and find this weight Rollator much easier to lift up into my SUV. Please bear in mind it IS more light-weight and may not hold higher poundage. For some reason, it is also difficult to fold/unfold - kind of like trying to get a puppy under control. Don't know why but, am willing to cope with this small "defect".I use this version for when I go outside - take pup for her outings, etc. I keep it set up and have anchored all areas where it might unfold.I can easily lift the walker up the couple of stairs that make up the entry to my front porch. I lift by the handle bars.OK, more than you ever wanted to know.Rollator, all versions, is THE best. I have been using mine since 2011 - I have two regular type + this light-weight. I keep one in the house and one in the car + light-weight on my porch for pup walks, etc. I would have no life without my Rollators.P.S. At night, I just roll the "outsider" back into the house for the night. If someone should take my Rollator, I am going to look at it with the thought in mind, "Maybe they needed it more than I do."
Walking with Style and Ease
September 21, 2017
Absolutely better then expected! My father needed something that at 80 years old could lift and place in vehicle when needed. This is it. A whopping 11 pounds. He also needed someway of being able to go into a store do a little bit of lite shopping, well this has a fabric basket that will hold up to two bags of items get him back to the car and just simple fold up this walker and drive home. You can not go wrong with this unit. Very well made. I believe that they thought of just about everything with this unit.

Love this! Used it on vacation and was able to walk everywhere without having to stop and rest all the time! When i needed a break, my seat was right there with me! Good construction and very lightweight, but does the job!
Fantastic device for anyone with mobility issues!
December 1, 2016
I bought this rollator for my mother, who has several chronic conditions that make walking unassisted for more than a few minutes difficult (and sometimes impossible). She'd been "prescribed" a walker that worked well enough, but once I saw one of these devices by chance I knew it would prove more comfortable and useful for her -- and it absolutely has!The construction on the rollator is solid: the metal is sturdy but lightweight. It folds and unfolds/opens easily, and it's light enough to pull in and out of her vehicle without too much difficulty. The wheels roll smoothly, and they're large and wide enough to be used "off-road" on flat unpaved ground as well. The brakes work without issue, and the "handlebars" were easy to adjust for her height. The storage area beneath the chair is surprisingly handy: she can fit her purse and phone inside and have one less thing to keep track of (and possibly lose!) I picked this one over another popular model with an open/mesh basket style, and I'm glad I did; this one seems more secure (keys can't fall out between the wire, for example, and others can't see what's inside the area).Other features aside, the real selling point of the rollator for me was the seat. With the brakes applied, she can sit down whenever she needs to -- no having to find a chair or lean on the walker to rest. With a 300lb weight limit it can easily support her, so I'm not worried about damage or collapse of the device. My mother's used this rollator for a week shy of six months and still raves about it to everyone (myself included). She's since added a cup-holder, stickers to the metal, and made a fabric "cover" for the seat to "dress it up" and uses it daily. It looks and acts just as it did six months ago: no noticeable signs of wear or damage (including to the brakes and tires, which were initially concerns of mine). Highly, highly recommended for those with mobility issues or limitations!
Walker
September 11, 2016
Best walker ever, so easy to put together and folds up easily. to put in car. The wheels are fantastic turns on a dime and runs easily over any surface. If you need a good walker that doesn't break the bank but is very well made and easy to use and has a sturdy seat when you get tired and need to sit down. Breaks lock easily so when you sit walker doesn't roll away under you. I recommend this walker to anyone who needs a walker but doesn't want to break the bank. Has everything you need evena zipper hide away under the seat.
Drive Medical Aluminum Rollator Walker Fold Up
April 6, 2015
This turned out to be perfect for my elderly mother. It gives her the stability she needs to get around her senior living apt. She can put her purse in the bag and her laundry basket on the seat and truck on down to the laundry room. She is very happy with it. It is also easy to fold and put in the car when we go on places. She even has her own place to sit down when she wants to go outside and visit with other residents.

The Cadillac of Walkers
April 5, 2017
My wife needed a hip replacement, we got this walker for her to keep walking up to the time of surgery. Upon receiving the package, it took a couple minutes to attach the handles and cross bar (no tools needed)

As a walker, it worked very well, she had no problem using it when walking. Travelling around the neighborhood on streets, sidewalks, or in large stores, she got around great. She is 5'3", the seat might be a tiny bit high for her as her feet aren't quite flat when sitting, but close enough. The seat worked great when she needed to sit for a bit to rest. Having storage under the seat is great for her purse and a water bottle. Every time we went to a health professional, they would always say this walker was the 'Cadillac' of walkers.

It easily folded up, for storage in the back of our Jeep, light and easy to move about. Now that her surgery has been done for a week, we hope to progress from the 'inside the house' non-wheeled walker to this 'outdoor' one again, very soon.
Great for your loved ones!
July 19, 2016
This has helped our elderly family member get out and about better. When he is tired, he just stops, locks, and sits. Not to mention the very handy little seat has a little area for his glasses, and magazines in it. The only issue we have had is that when he sits, he places his forearms on the handles. It has a screw/bump sticking up which irritates him. We are working on making a padding for it, with some velcro. Still, it has been a blessing to help keep our loved one mobile, and he hasn't had a fall since getting it.
Great walker for the price, great fit for my mom. If you have questions please read my review they will answer most of them.
April 11, 2016
I’ve read some bad reviews on this and some great reviews. The Drive Medical Aluminum Rollator Walker Fold Up and Removable Back Support, Padded Seat, 7.5" Wheels, byDrive Medical, Red will be honestly reviewed.

First off, I am a nurse with over a quarter of a century experience. I know good walkers and I have seen some bad walkers.

We have to first see who this walker is for. It is for my mom who weighs 111 pounds and is a small woman. This walker fits her to a glove, she is only 5 foot 4. Some people said they were 5 foot 2 and their feet dangled. If that is the case, they have some really short legs. My mom’s feet do not dangle but comfortable touch the ground.

Some said they had a hard time putting it together. I had to install the handles with big, I guess I can call them plastic handled wing nuts. Not a problem, took me 2 minutes.

Some said it was flimsy. Well how big was the person using it. I would not recommend this for anyone over about 160 pounds. The seat alone would not fit well with them. It is aluminum and for a reason, to be light enough to put in the car. It doesn’t weight 5 pounds like some have said though, it weighs more like 15 but you are not going to get a lighter walker unless you get one without a seat.

This product has been more than adequate for my mom. Now for me I would need three put together to hold me. I am not stupid though. I buy products that fit the person, I don’t try to save money and buy something that just isn’t the right size for the job.

If you buy it you will be happy if you are the right size for it.

Thank you
The NickSter
Very convenient.
September 2, 2015
I had a larger steel Rollator that would not fit in my SUV without removing the basket, folding it, and folding down half of the back seat.
So I purchased this smaller Aluminum one. It is much lighter and it fits in the cargo compartment of my SUV without even folding it.
Sturdy and Lightweight
September 20, 2010
I needed a rollator that was light weight enough for me to put in my vehicle myself to be more independent. This Drive model is awesome. It has a nice seat for when I get too tired or when I get in a line for anything. I've found the seat also allows me to go to a buffet restaurant since I can put my plate on the seat and go through the line and get my food to my table myself. Any product that makes us disabled folks more independent is awesome. I selected this one due to the Seller's price, weight, free shipping, and the larger size of the wheels. It goes on grass or gravel better than any other walker/rollator I've used.

Open Box Item Missing Part
September 27, 2017
This "Open Box" walker was purported to be complete with all parts. It was not. A cable clamp was missing and the two threaded pins with knobs that clamp the handlebars were loose in the box. After reading the fine print, I could not get a part replacement part from Amazon, I would have to go to the manufacturer. Not possible since it was an "Open Box" item. That clamp, probably a 50 cent part, cost over $10 to order from a parts source. The walker is great, very light and sturdy. Amazon's return warehouse is the problem.

Like it, but somewhat disappointed
September 29, 2015
For the most part I really like the walker, but, when crossing a street with non-handicap curbs, it doesn't go smoothly. Also, if you go somewhere, where you can't take it to your seat, & need to switch to a cane, or have nothing else with you, you can find it hard to impossible to switch to the cane, because, there's a balance issue. You might need someone else with you, to help you walk, till you readjust, & can possibly use the cane on your own

Great price and great quality!
April 14, 2017
Super quick delivery! Great light weight - easy to pick up! Quick set up - just click back bar in place and screw the handle adjuster knobs in place and adjust to correct height and you're good to go! One downside for me is that I am only 5'2" and when I sit on it my feet don't reach the ground so that's why I gave it only 4 stars but otherwise it's fabulours!
Relieved for mom's independence again.
July 8, 2016
My 83 year old mother loves it, Mind you she has been fighting me for the last year that she didn't need a walker, she isn't THAT bad off, her cane was fine etc etc. However, one day when we went out, she literally got stuck walking from point A to point B not a bench or a chair in sight for her to take a break, I could see the anxiety on her face and she was really frustrated. Her solution was just to stop going anywhere where shopping carts were not available... So without her consent I ordered her this walker, had my boys put it together and and present it to her. She commented on how nice it was, then she gave it a spin to the mailbox. She came back and was extremely happy, She said she felt safe and stable, The seat is perfect, High enough where she doesn't need to bend her knees too much,as this is another issue, Always looking for higher sturdy chairs with arms.. UGH,. Tall order when out in public. I only gave it 4 stars because we haven't taken it in and out the car yet, I want to see if she can handle this herself in that respect. For now she just parked it in the garage.

May 23, 2016
I am 51 and needed this to combat balance and fatigue issues related to a chronic condition. While I can lift the walker, I would not be able to get it in or out of my car easily using one hand to lift and the other to balance. So, my review is for indoor use only. The rollator rolls easily, and the brake handles engage and disengage without much effort. I do think the brakes need adjusting, but I have not tackled that yet. It's good for carrying things from one end of the house to the other. The seat is comfortable enough for short rests, but I would not want to park my butt there all day. I am 5'6"and would probably find the seat too high if I were shorter. I still have to get used to using the brakes. Rolls with more control on carpet than on tile.
It seems very well-constructed and is easy to push
May 16, 2016
If I were rating the quality, appearance and durability of the Rollator, I would have given it five stars! It seems very well-constructed and is easy to push. But it is too big for me. It is also heavier than expected and difficult for me to lift into my car. It doesn't fold easily - the seat top flops open and the wheels splay out, making loading even more difficult. It is also too high off the ground for me. My feet don't touch the floor when I sit on the seat. If the unit were much narrower, closer to the ground and several pounds lighter, it would be perfect! I keep it in the back seat of my car because it's too big and unwieldy to fit into the trunk - and too big and wide to use in the house. As for being heavier than expected, I have a serious back problem that doesn't allow me to lift much, so I took careful note of your customer's reviews of the Rollator and, especially their answers to prospective buyer's question "How much does it weigh?" Their answers were wide-ranging, so I took a chance that the aluminum model would be manageable.
Maybe not for everybody, but I like it
June 25, 2014
For me, this is great! And not just for the steely cobalt blue color, either.

For one thing, the seat is the right height, not too low and not too high - for me. But I'm 5'7" and long in the leg. For someone shorter or differently proportioned, this might be too high. And I can't see any way to adjust the seat height. Handle height can be adjusted, but not the seat.

Which brings me to another problem: inadequate assembly instructions. Most of it is already assembled, but there are a few of the top things that have to be put together (no tools required). And yet photos identify only a few parts and show only one angle. So I had to redo several parts after I put them together. Trial and error is not the best way to assemble something that's going to support my weight. Instructions need to show all the parts and label them, and to show close ups of where things go.

Then there's the cryptic message in a sticker put on one side of the brake handle but not referred to in the instructions. I'm fairly adept at assembling things, but I couldn't figure this one out at all. But, um, this is the brakes. . . ? Could you be more precise with this?

But once I got it all together, then it's great. It rolls easily, brakes lock securely, wheels swivel effortlessly. Seat is comfy enough that I could easily use it for emergency seating when the whole family descends upon me at once. It's sturdy and feels as if it can handle bumps and such with aplomb.

It is a mite too heavy for me to insert it into the car effortlessly. I'm worn out by the time I get it in. But them I'm not especially strong (ummmm, that's probably an understatement).

The handles take a bit of getting used to, as the movement to slow the device is to pull up on the brake handles, whereas the movement to lock the brakes is to push down hard. Nonetheless, it's easy to tell when I have locked the brakes in order to sit down.

Overall, I'm glad I got it, and it does what it's supposed to. I do suggest, however, that they upgrade the instructions and photos.

Missing Parts
September 28, 2017
I received this today. I'm familiar with walkers and this was what I expected. However the knobs and screws used to secure the handles in position were NOT included. I searched high and low, even looking in the zipper pouch and the empty box. I'm leaving the area in a few days and didn't want or need the hassle of returning it or waiting for a shipment of the missing parts. Fortunately I had access to an old walker and was able to remove those parts from the old one and use them on this one. I would expect a company as large and known as Drive would assure these were shipped with all the components included. That is the reason I'm only giving it three stars.

Two things about this product were disappointing. The wheel locks did not work well and required a lot of fooling with to fix. Also, it would be nice if there was a way to fasten it when closed. If picked up it flopped open.
A bit too wide and needs a method for keeping it folded during transport
February 4, 2016
Certainly a relief from using two canes, however I wish that they made a narrower model. We are not all huge. This rollator will not fit through my bathroom doorway. :-/It also needs a method for keeping the unit folded during transport. I loosened the four seat bracket screws, threaded a length of double-sided hook-and-loop between the seat and the tubing, and then retightened the screws. Now when I fold the rollator, I simply overlap the hook-and-loop ends. There is absolutely no reason for the manufacturer not to supply this simple, cheap solution.UPDATE: I cut 3½" out of the rollator width (easy to do with a hacksaw on this thin aluminum tubing) and reconnected the three cut tubing sets with tight fitting wooden inserts secured with screws. The cut tubing seams were hidden with black electrical tape. Since the back rest was never installed, it was not modified. Threading the cut rod was the more difficult part. The cut rod perimeter had to be ground first, then rethreaded using a ¼-20 die as the original threads were non-standard. I had a ¼-20 lock nut to replace the original. Now the rollator will fit through my bathroom and closet entryways.2nd UPDATE: I also cut 8" out of the brake cables as they kept getting caught on things. I used 1/16" axial drilled #8 x 1/2" machine bolts for the new bottom cable wire ends and crimped the machine bolts onto the wire ends with vice grips. A Dremel cutting wheel was used to cut both the cable wire and the sheathing. Be sure to cut ½" less off of the cable wire than the sheathing since that ½" will be inserted into the new cable wire ends.

Light weight and easy to move over slight curbs
September 15, 2016
Roller works very well for mobility both inside & outside. Light weight and easy to move over slight curbs. Hard plastic seat feels firm & stable and is a good feature for resting or convenient pause. However, the fold up process is difficult if you want to put into the car by yourself. This is due to the plastic lid (seat) that covers the center storage under the seat. There is no way to secure in up position so it flops around as you try to maneuver roller into trunk. Needs some type of velcro strap to keep it in up position to aid in this fold up. After several attempts my brother in law was able to check me up with his own system but still a slight struggle. Since this device is design to help seniors be more independent, manufacturer needs to re-design this lid.
Measure the seat height that you need. Great walker otherwise. Sent it back for refund, now minus shipping cost of $24.
March 22, 2016
I am giving this walker a 3 star only because I am returning it for a non-complaint reason. It simply was TOO big, too high and my legs were dangling 3-4" off of the ground. I am 5'5" and always thought myself medium heighth, but others always thought I was on the taller side. I did not measure the seat height on my old walker. I assumed it would be similiar. It is NOT. Be sure to measure the seat height that you need to be comfortable. I would've had to sit towards the edge or if I leaned back it would hurt the back of my thighs. This walker is sturdy. There is no way to adjust the heighth. I think it is a quality walker for the dollar amount. We did not assemble it. Basically it came out of the box, set it up by spreading it apart and I sat on the seat since it just looked high. That was all we did, and just put it back in the box. Be sure and measure is all I can say.
Caster wheel fell off and wife fell to ground

Ok for some, but not for someone with low hand strength
November 15, 2014
Bought this for a geriatric relative with both balance and strength issues. This is the fourth walker this relative has had - the last one was from Drive too.

Good
1. Assembly was easy.
2. The height could easily be adjusted to be the same as the last walker.
3. The seat was no less uncomfortable than the old one - e.g. ok for short periods of sitting, like in a line at a movie.

Bad (and the reason for 3 stars)
1. The brake locks require too much physical strength for my geriatric relative, who has had no trouble with the last three walkers.
2. When locked the wheels easily slide on the industrial short-loop carpet in the facility. Getting up and down resulted in the walker sliding, which would likely have led to a fall.

We're returning it. I'll try a different manufacturer.

Buyer Beware
May 31, 2016
Wow, stop, don't purchase until you read this. This product is all the other positive reviewers claim...with just one big problem. If you sit in the seat with your back against the backrest, you will need to be at least 6 feet tall to have your heals touch the ground. A typical chair seat is 16" to 19" high. The seat on this Drive walker is an unadjustable 23" tall. Our 5'4" mother's feet dangled 5 inches off the ground with her back against the backrest in this chair. I am 6' and my heals barely touched the ground.
Poor Machining
March 8, 2016
This is our second Rollator by Drive. It's not as good as our first one. It was missing a decorative wheel cap (that the company replaced), but also had a poorly machined handle knob that wouldn't tighten. We found an old knob in a used wheelchair shop, but it looks tacky. At least we didn't have to wait again. Rated: Poor.

So not happy and no box to return it
November 18, 2016
So wish I didn't buy this walker. The height is good for my 5.6 height. The only good thing I have to say about the walker. the brake cables stick out several inches from the frame and catch on everything you pass. The padded front/back rest bar doesn't lock in place well and hangs down. No level place on frame to place a cup holder, so stuck trying to deal with lopsided attachment for my beverages. Would return if I still had the box!!

May 23, 2016
Had it now for several months and it held up very well. I tend to use these to move and carry groceries, etc. This one worked for a few months. However, when I cook I use it for a seat. The first thing to go wrong was that the brakes had to be adjusted. That was easy and did not require tools. Update 6/10/16: A weld broke just below the seat. Although the construction looked good the pipes were very thin. I didn't abuse this one as I had hoped to have it awhile. Looked good. Falling apart. Happy 4th! The back leg just broke and left me on the ground.
