Freedom!
February 18, 2017
I love it! I went for this Rollator because it is sturdy, goes wherever I need to go, and it has given me freedom. It pushes easily over grass as well as paved sidewalks or roads. This is the first time I have ever needed this type of machine and I am very happy with my choice. It folds up easily when we need to take it in our car. A great buy if you need a helping hand. And it was delivered to me by Amazon in only one day even tho they had said it would be two. Thank you, Amazon!
A great piece of equipment to enable mobility for larger folks
December 16, 2016
A great piece of equipment to enable mobility for larger folks. Easy to assemble and works great. Because it is designed to accommodate a larger person it can be a bit combersom to transport in the car. It does fold up but still retains a rather bulky overall size. I have a Subaru Legacy sedan and it will not fit in the trunk and permit me to close the trunk lid. It pretty much eats up the back set when folded and put in the car. Apart from the troubles of transporting the roller....it really does work great and provides a comfortable chair to rest on when needed. The small basket that comes with the unit is easily removable and the small compartment under the seat is also very nice. Overall, a very good product with sturdy construction. Just remember the size of the unit can make it cumbersome.
Lifesaver!

I love this walker! I did a lot of research before buying this walker, including getting a prescription from my rheumatologist in order to get one through my insurance. After calling local stores to find which brands they carry and prices, I ultimately settled on paying full price for this one through amazon and I'm so glad I did. It's sturdy, reliable, easy to put together, and comfortable to sit on. I'm 43 and have rheumatoid arthritis and use the walker primarily at home to assist me in getting household chores done. I can clean the kitchen while sitting on the walker. I love the extra width for sitting down and I have no trouble getting it through doorways in my home. I highly suggest getting the folding cup holder attachment (NOVA Cup Holder for Rollator/Wheelchair) as it's difficult to carry a beverage without one. I'm currently relying on this walking to keep me mobile while dealing with pinched nerves in my back and I can't walk without it. It's wonderful!
Couldn't ask for more

Although I did not need the bariatric size I thought the seat area would be more comfortable and I was SO RIGHT!! I think this walker is great. As a registered nurse I have a lot of experience with walkers through my patients. I now have chronic back pain that has limited my favorite pastime....gardening....This walker gives me the basket for my tools and gloves ...the width gives me great stability and safety rolling over my property....I can work in my gardens until I need a rest and there it is...right beside me....I rest and then continue on.......what a wonderful feeling to have this love of the outdoors back into my life. When I am done I "park my car" (as my sons call it) in the carport...still loaded and ready to go for the next time. I have ZERO regrets about this purchase....it has given me a unique way to do what I love, safely and securely. Also. my property has uneven areas and slopes and the width provides me the security that it will not tip to one side........Thank you Amazon for having this product.....I am truly grateful..........also I am 5'10" tall and there is NO bending over due to adjustability of the handles and the seat is a good height...my knees are lower than my hips and rest solidly on the ground. This walker promotes good posture and all of this promotes using it and increasing one's daily activity.
Impressive

I bought this for my wife who is having stamina and balance problems.I purchased this particular model because of it's weight capacity (400#). When it arrived I assembled it with only the need of a phillips screwdriver. Everything went together easily but the instructions leave a bit to be desired. The function of the device is flawless and provides a readily available seat should the user become fatigued. I often use it as a seat in the living room because it's very comfortable. The under-seat wire basket is handy for small item storagealthough the device cannot be folded with the basket in place. The device folds somewhat but it takes up a bit of room if being carried in a vehicle. In that capacity, it's a bit awkward.Overall, I have to say that the convenience over a standard walker is well worth the minor inconvenience of stowage in a vehicle.
Great product!

I purchased it for my mother who was basically unable to walk without holding on to someone, due to health complications. This product was just as described. We received it with minimal assembly needed and once she started using it, we couldn't believe our eyes. We hadn't seen her walk this quickly in years! The wheels are large and made of rubber so they roll smoothly and can easily travel through grass and pebbles. She has complete confidence of its safety since it is sturdy and can hold her up very well when she sits on the cushioned seat. The breaks work nicely and she uses the lock-control on the wheels while she sits. The basket under the seat is perfect for her belongings while she walks to the park, the mall, etc. She also really likes the red color it came in. The only thing that takes getting used to, is folding it up and placing it in the trunk of the car. It is large, bulky and somewhat heavy, but all worth it for us. We're looking forward to a lot more exercise in my mom's future.

"Great little shopping cart" 😆
May 11, 2017
I can't say enough good things about this little rollator. I'm one who doesn't really "need" a rollator to walk, but when I try to carry a heavy handbag or a shopping bag, it flares up my lower back problems. Also, when I have to walk a long way, or attend a function where everyone has to stand around for a long time, it's good to have a place to sit. This rollator is perfect for shopping, for travel, and for outdoor family activities. It's very light, easy to fold, and easy to transport. I especially like that the brake cables are built into the frame, because the cables can't get snagged or pulled when gate-checking it for an airline flight. I purchased a 12" long gardening/shopping basket which will sit on the seat when I'm shopping. Many people who see it with the basket in place don't realize it's a walker/rollator. On several occasions, I've been asked where I found that "great little shopping cart".
One of the better walkers
April 6, 2016
This is a great walker. My son has been using walkers for about 30 years. This is by far the lightest weight, easiest to load in a car we have had. It's great for restaurants too. Just pull up the middle and it stands by itself. Most forward pushing walkers cause the person to lean forward but this one also promotes posture. The big front wheels make getting around on uneven terrain a little easier.
Be safe and look "sharp"!

This product is fantastic !It is not only stylish, but it offers secure support for one who needs support walking!I found that it rolls over uneven terrain (gravel, pebbles, and salt). There is no assembly required, the handles are easily adjustable to height (6ft works). It folds out of place and it is easy to transfer to a vehicle, either in the trunk or behind the driver's seat !For the person of heavy built this is a great support!!!It comes in white and black also!I got a "ton of compliments!"
the seat on the old one was like sitting on a board
November 9, 2015
Ok I'm 36 years of age I weigh 225lbs.. I had back surgery almost a year ago come to find out there is a under lying problem with my central nervous system my balance is off and I can't walk for long periods of time I bought my rollator from a different company. I have a different rollator previously, it has 6 inch wheels and a nightmare to use outside in gravel or grass, the seat on the old one was like sitting on a board. Now on with the drive medical rollator, this is like a Cadillac or any other high end car compared to the old one I can push this around with ease in my gravel driveway or out through the yard. The BIG wheels make a BIG difference. Folds up and the handles collapse easily it fits in trunk of car nicely it's a little lighter then my old one. The seat on the drive medical rollator isn't quite like your lazy boy but it's pretty darn comfortable. I can sit on this for hours if need be the old one I was lucky to make it 10-15 minutes. I would highly recommend this unit if you wanna get out in gravel drive or make a trip out to the garden or flower bed. You will not be disappointed. The last photo or the close up photo is how you adjust the height of your hand grips. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your as much I do mine!!!!
No Assembly required... so easy for a person with limitations
July 14, 2015
I love this Rollator and I have had it since June, 2015. It is easy to walk with, I love the fabric strap for your back instead of a metal bar, the carrying bag in front is very handy for your purse, cell phone etc. It has easy to use brakes for walking down sloping driveways or streets. I put a small pillow in the bag to place on the seat, as there is a handle on the seat and if you sit for a long period of time, it can be uncomfortable. It is easy to collapse and very light. I have limitations and I can collapse the rollator and lift it into the back seat of my car behind the drivers seat with hardly any effort. The thing I was most impressed about was it came all in one piece and all you had to do was take it out of the box and you were ready to roll NO ASSEMBLY NEEDED...
92 YR. OLD WWII VET (ex POW) LOVES IT!
April 14, 2015
BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 92 YEAR OLD DAD, HE LOVES IT!!!! IT IS THE ROLLS ROYCE OF WALKERS! SEAT IS COMFORTABLE AND THE BACKREST IS WONDERFUL. THE ADJUSTABLE LENGTH HANDLES WORK EASILY AND HE CAN FOLD IT HIMSELF AND PUT IT IN THE BACKSEAT OF HIS CAR BY HIMSELF. DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS!!!!

Good 4-wheel walker, but not enough stability for all users
October 15, 2016
I bought this several months ago for my son who has severe lymphedema in his legs as he was having increasing difficulty getting around. It helped him a lot and was quite sturdy for his 320 pounds. in June, he got a terrible infection in his legs and went to the hospital and then to skilled nursing. He has just graduated from a wheelchair to some use of a walker and now, in October, his physical therapists are evaluating what he needs to come home. They say he won't be able to use this walker because, with four wheels, it won't provide adequate stability for him. Therefore, you should check with your medical provider to make sure that a four-wheel walker is appropriate for the user. The walker may be wider than some doorways in your home, especially the bathroom, so you should check that as well. When my son used it, he was able to maneuver it through all of our doorways except for the bathroom

May 14, 2016
I will Update this review when I am able to use it. The instructions are poor. It came with a pamphlet of instructions in English, French and Spanish. The photo in the instructions is small and dark. The photo is labled and there is a list of components and also a list of the Assembled components. There is NO list of tools needed to Assemble. A screwdriver is needed and is NOT included. There is no infomation as to what kind or size of screwdriver is needed (Phillips I think). The instructions say, "Insert round head screw (J) into frame." The round head screws are already inserted into the frame and cannot be removed without a screwdriver so I cannot attach the wheels. I was not able to assemble the walker. The instructions also do NOT say, "Remove the plastic elements in the legs before inserting the wheels". I spent several seconds trying to insert the wheels which would NOT fit into those plastic parts which, at first, I thought were meant to remain in place as receptacles for the wheels. I tried to call Medline for some clarification of assembly when I noticed that the Medline is NOT available on weekends. My walker was delivered at 7PM EST Friday evening. I cannot call for assistance until Monday morning. In order to assemble this walker I will need a screwdriver which requires a shopping trip. I will have to purchase more than one screwdriver because I do not know what size the screws are. The screws, as mentioned, are screwed into the legs and I cannot remove them without a screwdriver so I cannot take them to the store to match them to a screwdriver. In the past when purchasing items that have required scredrivers, the screwdrivers have often been included. I had planned to use this walker on Monday. I purchased it specifically to go to the Drivers Liscense office. I am incapable of standing in line and need this walker not only to get to the line but to sit on while I wait. Hopefully I will make it there on Tuesday.I cannot rate the walker itself until I can assemble and use it. I will say that it seems well made and sturdy. I will write more after I use it.UPDATE: I finally got this assembled. I was wrong about the screwdriver. You will NOT need a screwdriver. This is a well made and sturdy walker. It might possibly be a little wide which is good for use but as mentioned by at least one other purchaser, it could be too wide for some doors. I have not needed to go through any doors yet. I also have not yet loaded it into my SUV. I can see that I will need to lower my back seat as I am fairly certain there is not enough room in the rear for this walker otherwise. Not a problem for me as I never use the back seat. The possible problems with it's width is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I have a smaller walker that I bought several years ago and it has never felt as stable as this one does. I did find the instructions for assembly less than useful. The instructions would be better if the image of the walker were a good bit larger and a drawn diagram would be more useful that the small, dark photo in which I could barely see details. There should be more little close ups of things such as how the wheels connect. Instead of the small pamphlet, I'd recommend a larger instruction booklet or poster with a drawn diagram, not a tiny dark photo. It was not difficult to assemble but I had several prolems as I just could not figure out exactly how to assemble it without some trial and error. Also, I have not found a clip that holds it together when folded to store it in my car. There may be one but I just have not seen it and it is not displayed in the poor photo. If there is no clip, one should be added or two, one for each side. I expect that I may have some difficulty getting this in and out of my car due to it's size and possible lack of any clip or clips to hold it together.
JUST WHAT I WANTED...BUT
May 2, 2016
Just what I wanted.....BUT I needed a walker to use in the yard which has a thick St Augistine cover. Gift walker I had was way too small with small wheels. This walker fits my big but and can just manage the thick lawn. I would really like a walker with wider wheels but am unwilling to pay the price. Assembly is another matter! Minimalist assembly instructions imply that the rear wheels come attached. Not so! Instructions miss a number of critical points and in some cases are flat wrong making assembly difficult. Unit does not feel too sturdy, but if it holds up I'll be happy
Glad I bought this
August 19, 2015
This is a great walker. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the size. I know it's wider for bigger people, but I wish it was able to fit through most door ways. It also doesn't fit in a lot of cars. I had it in a 2015 Ford Edge, in the back. I put it on it's side to make room for suitcases, but while the lower wheels fit in just fine in the back, the upper wheels stuck out too far to close the door. So I fllipped the suitcase up on edge and lay the walker flat and it fit fine, but the edge has a big cargo bay. The size makes it impractical for some things, I think, but I bought it to go to a convention where I'd be walking long distances and needed a seat when my knee gave out. We waked about a mile each day. I couldn't have done it without this roller.Didn't have a problem at the convention center since most doors are ADA compliant. My house has wide doors too - did them that way when we remodeled the house - but conventional doors. like the bathroom door in the hotel room, stopped it cold. I didn't ask for a handicapped room since most of the time I just use a cane. It's very strong and rolls easily. The basket was very convenient at the convention for holding everything. The seat is a little bit high for me, but it worked well when I needed to rest my knee or when I had to stand for a while. I loved that I could get off the knee and rest it. It went together easily with out tools. I put it together myself. I did call their customer service line when I was assembling it to clarify instructions because there were some changes in the parts, but they answered the phone right away and had the answers I needed and I was happy with their service. The parts went together without any effort and it adjusted just as easily. I'm very happy with it. I wish it was a bit narrower so it would be more practical, but I'll use it when I go somewhere that involves a lot of walking or standing.
re: great for around town and as part of evacuation readiness
March 6, 2014
As a large person it's great to find a rollator that has a wide enough seat to be comfortable. I use a smaller frame HUGO at home since it fits through all the household doorways but the seat is too narrow to be comfortable when sitting for any length of time. However, the Hugo weight capacity is too low for me nowadays. The Medline is somewhat wider in both seat and frame and fits through all but one doorway in the house. I keep the Medline loaded in the car and use it exclusively in town for shopping trips, outings, and excursions. It also is part of my evacuation and disaster preparedness gear so it stays loaded in the SUV along with my readiness Car Kit. As part of my disaster gear I wanted a rollator that could handle me sitting, along with having some of my evacuation gear in a backpack attached to the back support bar. This unit fulfills that requirement very well.I did replace the wire basket that came with the Medline with a cloth 'basket' that snaps in. I prefer the cloth basket for ease of loading into the SUV. I don't know why Medline doesn't offer that as an option. Otherwise, the Medline Barriatric rollator is sturdy, able to carry substantial weight, and fits well in back of the SUV.Actually for walking I like this Medline rollator because it IS wider, and there is more foot-space between the wheels. I think my overall balance is better with this wider walker. Anyone who has use a rollator much will know what I mean. I love having a seat handy while in town - think bookstore or waiting in lines. This is a really nice unit for a fair price. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Like my rolator.
December 2, 2013
Very nice product! Easy to put together and just the right size. The basket does not stay on well though and basically I don't take it with me.It is a bit bulky but fits in my SUV just fine. It is "queen" size so you have to expect it would take up a bit more room in the car.By the way, just a note for buyers. If you have narrow hallways and doorways . . . this is a wide rolator for large people and it won't go through all doorways easily - especially in an old house. I didn't think of that and did have to resort to a smaller traditional walker in parts of my house following my surgery. Still works great for out and about though!

Perfect to throw n the car
September 11, 2017
We bought this because our other rollator, which my husband loves, takes three hands to open. This is a breeze. I can open and close it with one hand. There was no setup except a very easy raising of the handlebars. Because it is so collapsible, it is not quite as comfortable as the one with a hard seat and back rest, but it is far from uncomfortable. The storage (zippered mesh in front of the seat) likewise is not as accessible as the rollator we use in the house (just lift the seat), but that is of minimal concern to us. The 10-inch front wheels make it very maneuverable. And its small folded size and fairly light weight make it an easy choice for transporting from one place to another
He seems to like it and it is nice that it fold up
April 30, 2017
I bought this for my father when he had stroke. He seems to like it and it is nice that it fold up. The only issue that I have with it is it is a bit on the heavy side. My mother who is 65 years said it kinda hard for her to put in the trunk of her car because she have a back back. I do find in putting it in the trunk so but I am stronger. I can see how an elderly person would have difficulty putting it in the car by themselves. I would paid a higher price for it if they made a lighter version.
Easy to fold and manuever
December 17, 2016
This is a very good, easy to maneuver rollator for a woman over 70 with arthritis and bad knees. It goes very smoothly over every type of sidewalk and handles rough patches well, due to the bigger wheels. I like the way it folds fairly flat and is lighter weight than most rollators. You can semi-close it too make it go through more narrow spaces. It's a little tall for me - (5'1") even with the adjustments, as the back is still slightly high for me. It would be nice to have one like this that is slightly shorter. We ordered this one as my older one is a little heavier and is harder for me to close and put in the car. This one has a taller profile but is flater. All in all I would recommend it and I have been quite pleased with it.
Best Walker for anyone under 100 Years Old!!!

STOP!!!! LOOK NO FURTHER!!!!If you are looking for a Lite, Sturdy, Smooth Rolling Walker with a Seat that you can fold-up....YES, "YOU" can fold up totally by yourself with only 1-Hand ....THIS IS FOR "YOU"!!!This Drive Medical Nitro Euro Style Rollator Walker (Tongue Twister, huh?) seems like a Godsend in a sea of "Old-people" walkers that are either too bulky or downright Unattractive & Unsafe!I am not old, just turned 32 for your info....yeah yeah, I know....I wanted a walker that I wouldn't be ashamed to say I owned while in ghe Rehab, out on the Town or in one of the many Medical facilities that we "Patients" must patronize 3-5 times EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!!First off....MEDICARE DOES NOT PAY FOR THIS WALKER!! (The old saying is very true here: "You get what you PAY for.")But, if you're like me & rely on a walker to get you from Point A to Point B....Don't want to look like an Old Joker (Grandaddy always said that)....Want to "Arrive" in Style & be the talk of the Dining Room then I'll stress it once more....THIS IS "YOUR" WALKER!!!Might as well STOP being cheap & spend a little over $200 out of that Social Security check....be better than blowing if at The Casino or Bingo (both of which you know you need your "aid" to help you get there).I would have given 5 Stars if the Folding Seat was a little more comfortable, maybe adding an inch of Sturdy Foam & an inch of Memory Foam on top....Now, THEN WE'D BE ROLLIN'!!!The Braking System is Fantastic! When you pull the levers UP, it breaks just like a car. When you push the levers DOWN, it's locks like a car Emergency Brake. And the Brake Cables are well hidden in the frame so no getting caught on everything you zip past....which brings me to another "Bonus" for this particular walker....it's FAST....I mean FAST FAST!!The days that you could only step ONE step at a time & always have to pick up your walker to change direction ARE LONG GONE! THANK GOD!!!This walker has 4 Wheels with Rims that look like they come off a Customized Chopper, wrapped with Rubber like Perrelli P-Zero's!!!The 2 Front tires are Huge, so going over gravel, grass, cobblestone, stupid twigs on the sidewalk is NO SWEAT & NO PROBLEM!!The basket which is really a mesh baggy, has 2 zippers and also folds when you fold the walker.Everywhere I go, I get COMPLIMENTS on my Nitro! "That must be the Lamborghini of Walkers man!" or "That's your Bentley!"I got mines in White so I could customize it to make it Personal & Stand Out even more!!All in All, I highly recommend this piece of Patient "Luxury" & recommend it to all you unfortunately YOUNG people recovering or suffering from a Car Accident, Sports Injury, Cancer, Dialysis, Surgery or anything affecting your Gait or Mobility....BUY THIS WALKER & SPEED UP YOUR PHYSICAL & MENTAL RECOVERY!!! COMES READY TO ROLL RIGHR OUT THE BOX!!! GOD BLESS!!!

It is definitely the Cadillac of smaller, portable side-fold walkers. The frame is thin walled aluminum, with internal routing of the brake cables, and extremely high-tech looking. It does not hurt that it’s painted Ferrari Red either! The seat is soft and padded, approximately 18” off the floor and the zippered basket is a sweet addition. One thing that caused this not to be a 5 star purchase is the hand force necessary to press the brakes for normal use. I don’t have any arthritis in my hands but I can see this being an issue for someone with this ailment. I purchased this unit to use around the house and it is perfect for that, especially, as it has a narrow and stable footprint.I have another walker by Hugo Mobility, The Sidekick, which I will continue to use for outdoors adventures. The Sidekick has brakes that close requiring very little hand force and full rubber tires. Plus, it is not nearly as beefy as the Nitro. The external cables on the Sidekick were forever catching on things around the house, thus the reason to seek an inside replacement. All in all I am exceedingly happy with my purchase of the Nitro by Drive Medical.
Folds up like a charm!
May 30, 2014
Being a retired physical therapist, I've been familiar with walkers for 55 years. And since my wife's been using one for 4 years, I live with a walker, 24/7. When it comes to rollwalkers (our choice) I know they take up considerable room when folded. At church, I would fold my wife's walker, lean it against the wall at the aisle end of the pew where we were seated. It was unsteady and extended into the aisle and was easily bumped by passersby and then fall. I, myself, use forearm crutches at present due to neuropathy but will probably need a walker myself in the future. So, wanting to kill two birds with one stone, I ordered the Nitro because it folds up like a wheelchair, leaving all 4 wheels on the ground in a very stable upright position. It's a heavier walker than my wife's ultralight Rollator and is not suitable for a small or short lady but we now use it for her just at church and it's great, taking up minimal space - and, I'll use it when the time comes. It's sturdy, stable, has larger "roll-over-anything" wheels and folds even with the saddlebag on it, which is unusual. It fits easily into a small car hatchback and I recommend it to anyone other than the very short since it will lower only to a certain height (see walker specs).

Item shipped was not the same item that is pictured. It is still a heavy duty rollator and will do the job well I am sure...Wheels different. Back rest has a plastic piece that connects it to the frame, not metal as shown. Some other cosmetic differences as well. Three stars for this reason.
I like the seat and basket
September 22, 2015
I like the seat and basket, however I am disappointed in the cheap plastic used for hand brakes and seat brackets. I expected better quality for the price.
Needs guesswork for assembly.
July 7, 2015
The Walker arrived in a reasonable time. But would it bankrupt Medline to include assembly instructions? Granted, assembly wasn't very complicated for my 20-something grandson, but I suspect most people ordering these things are more than 20-something! Couldn't they include even a one-page sheet or even a picture? I'm still trying to figure out the basket. I guess it just hangs on other parts, but what's the strap for?I needed a big one and this is big. In fact, if you have any 27" or under doorways you'll have trouble maneuvering it.
I would recommend but it has some problems.
May 6, 2015
I am ordering a new one today after two years. The weld holding the seat to the frame just broke. I'm glad I was near something to grab. If I had gone to the floor I wouldn't have been able to get up. It was good until it broke. Guess it doesn't have a long life. The handles stick up when folded making it hard to get in the car trunk.
Easiest assembly ever!
February 25, 2015
The best part of opening up the package is how easy it was to assemble. I am the kind of person who needs instructions to peel a banana or a recipe to make ice cubes. So if I can do it simply by following the instructions in the owner's manual, that's how user friendly this is. The color is gorgeous, a subtle deep burgundy. I didn't want anything flashy and that's exactly what I got. It just arrived yesterday so I don't have a lot of experience with it yet, but it seems to be very smooth and comfortable to use. The wheels are large and great for curbs and outdoor use. Although it is wide, it fits just fine through the doorways in my apartment. I will use this mostly for outdoors or in public places, so width is not really an issue for me. I was worried that it might be too tall for sitting, but it's great. I'm 5'5" and my feet are flat on the floor when seated on it. I would give the comfort of the seat 3 stars. Fine for up to 15 minutes but I wouldn't want to sit in it for an hour or longer.

Not everything we hoped it would be!
February 14, 2016
Well we ordered it because we could raise the handles to a higher level than her current walker, but we have found with the larger wheels it is more cumbersome to put in the car. So she is using it around the apartment and down to the car where we leave it in the garage and use the smaller on in the car.
Attention City Dwellers

If you intend to use it going up and down curbs there is a design flaw. Other rollators have a foot peddle that you can use to tip the front wheels up over the curb this does notalso the carrying bag is great looking but prevents you from collapsing the cart to ride the bus you need to remove the bag not a good fit for solo travellers

It has a good size seat, but is not as compact when folded up as I would like and is fairly heavy for picking up and putting in car

Rollator stopped rolling 2 years in
June 23, 2016
I waited to review this walker until I'd had a couple years' use. It was fine until it began developing issues with the front wheels and the casters (housing that hold the wheels). I'm a good 80+ pounds under the weight limit, but the plastic casters buckled, leaving one front wheel unable to roll. They should not use plastic on weight-bearing parts of bariatric rollators. Now, just 2 years into use, it must go to the dump and I must order a new one, as the casters and wheels aren't sold for replacement, just wheels alone. I just hope the new one comes before it gives out entirely while I'm using it and I fall, like with the last one. Stop using plastic casters!
Nice walker with a few considerations
March 17, 2015
I ordered this rolling walker and thought it was a Medline. I had a Guardian brand delivered, which looks exactly the same. My husband and I were going to share this, he is a big guy-I'm not such a big person. I've had it a few months. About a week ago, the seat clamp and screws came off one side. My daughter and son-in-law did the repair. The right handle is loose and won't tighten. I've never over tightened it. The large wheels are helpful, but the walker is just very difficult to move around. I'm disappointed. Ordering a lighter weight walker and going to read over the guarantee on this one.It has supported me well despite the problems. It rolls well outdoors over any flat surface that I've tried. It is heavy to lift and does not fit into most of my friends' car trunks. Be sure to read the dimensions and consider the roominess of your auto trunk before you buy. Mine is fine-others, not.
DISAPPOINTED.. LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY - This is a strong

DISAPPOINTED..LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY - This is a strong, well made walker. BUT...UNABLE TO USE IT INSIDE OF MY HOUSE, TOO WIDE FOR THE interior doors. My old house has doors 29" wide, so unable to walk straight through the door. ( Req picking up the walker, turning it sideways, fighting to get it through. So I keep the walker outside on the patio and only use if for walking out in the garden and outside the house and up the street. It works so well in that capacity.BUT unable to take it with me. It does not fit inside my 95 Honda Civic. We have tried every which way to get it inside. Will not fit in the front seat, back seat or trunk. (Folded). I can only use it when someone has a SUV or large car. Then it is great going to public spaces. But if I go into smaller neighborhood cafes, etc..often does not fit through doorway, so leave it outside.LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY AND WHERE IT CAN BE USED BRINGS THE RATING DOWN.So disappointed.I am now looking for a smaller walker that will work for me and that I can use in the house and fold into my car.
Large, Wide Rollator
April 7, 2014
Made very well, problem getting through doorways, too wide and would scratch the doorways. Had to return it. I did not notice the size when I ordered it. Be sure you do.
very small for large man
December 11, 2012
This model is way to small for a large man. I had to drill extra holes in the arms to make them taller. Bar across the back is not far back enough so when you sit you feel like your falling foreward.I took this off and welded extentions to make it back farther.
Beware - Oversized for standard doors
March 31, 2011
The unit seems well-built but is very wide, over 28". As delivered, would not fit through the bedroom and bathroom doors in my house. Highly disappointing. The manufacturer does not have the width listed on their Web site, in the brochure or in the instruction manual. Just plain dumb. I found another on-line reference that said that it was 26" wide, but that's not correct. Very, very annoying.I plan to modify it to reverse the rear wheels, which will reduce legroom, but will narrow it up by a couple of inches. It's that or send it back. If I needed it long term, I would return it, but since it only has to be used for a couple of knee replacements, I can likely make it work for me.In looking through the various rollators on Amazon, I was amazed as to how few had accurate dimensions. In many cases, even the manufacturer's Web site didn't have usable dimensions. Ridiculous. Not happy with the purchase.

Although this seemed like a good walker for my mother... 3 months later the week fell off and we have had no cooperation to get it fixed or replaced
The brakes just are not tight. Narrow seat.

The brakes just are not tight. Narrow seat. Uncomfortable for the patient to sit since the back strap is too far back which causes extreme leaning

I purchased this product 3-14-16 for my wife who has problems walking. On 8-18-16 she was using it and the handle broke off right where it is connected to the brace going down, just above where the back is connected. Had she not been next to a counter she would have fallen to the floor. I don't call this heavy duty, unfortunately there is no way to fix this one.
6 months after purchase the right brake fell off.
August 13, 2015
About a year ago I purchased this product in black because I needed a studied walker with durable brakes. Wouldn't you know after the warranty on Amazon was up the right brake handle broke off and I haven't been able to reach Drive medical to see what I could do tohave it repaired. What a waste of money for me
Very Sexy - but Poorly-Engineered Design !
May 30, 2015
This rollator is very attractive and draws many admiring comments. However, the mechanism thatis supposed to hold the wheels wide for rolling and control is badly designed. The wheels closetogether and become difficult to steer and control as they hit the front carrying bag. I asked Drive how tocorrect the problem, and my question/complaint was was either not taken seriously, or there is no fixto the design flaw. I got no helpful advice It's a shame, since this is the best-looking rollator available, and a welcome source of interested conversation for those of us who, unfortunately, must to use this kind of device just to be able to walk with a bit less pain. It's too bad that the Drive company doesn't seem to care whether or not their relatively expensive product doesn't work very well ! Because of this "care less" company attitude, I don't plan to spend any more money on - or recommend - Drive products ....

poor quality

wobbly, wheels feel like they're made of wood! slide everywhere, even with brakes on! not a well-made product. very disappointed.
Poor wheel construction
April 27, 2017
The wheel collapsed while my mom was sitting on it. The steel bent rather easily. Very inconvenient, leaving us without assistance in a crowded area.
Caution - Not what they used to be.

Disappointed. A long time fan of the Drive Nitro Series, I have had two walkers from amazon (this one and a tall version) fail now with a new design choice. You don't get to see it in the picture, but if you are like me. you might get the newer model with the flat bracket support for the front wheels. This picture model has the solid steel bar holding the larger front wheels on, Solid, strong. The models they sent me had a cheap front flat bracket that has a weakness on its bent corner.. So if your sitting on the walker and slide to the right or left there is a chance the bracket crumbling in and the tire folding over dumping you to the floor. Not sure what they were thinking, I guess it's cheaper steel means more profit. I for one can't be falling, I am hurt enough and I wouldn't want my loved ones falling either. You might get lucky and get the older model with the rigid steel, but you're not going to be able to tell. I hope they change their minds and revert back to the old safer design. I had two new models break in under three months, yet my older model is still workable, if not a bit time worn around the edges, after two years. So I am out $400 plus considering I bought two differnt models, and now looking for something a bit safer. Just a heads up, it's not what it used to be.Shame. they were wonderful
Look for another brand

My grandmother loved this at first. It was so stylish, like her own personal hot rod. It worked well, the height was adjustable. Had a good number of nice features. Plus, the manufacturer claims it has a 5 year warranty. Fantastic! When it broke we thought, no problem, we can just contact Drive's customer service and they will send us a part... WRONGI spent about 3 hours dealing with their customer service, just trying to get the correct part. Turns out, they only have full kits. That's fine, but they also can't guarantee that the part I need (brake cable wire) is included in this kit. Plus, the kit costs $50. That's right! Even if under warranty, you cannot get replacement parts from the manufacturer for free. They told me the only way to get this part at no cost is to go through the repair center at the place you originally purchased this. Amazon of course does not repair these items. The next option is to go to another supplier, like a small medical shop. Ok, fine. But they need a serial number to be able to get the part at no cost, and to provide the labor, which, unless microscopic, these walker do not have.Bottom line is that even though it was a good walker for a little less than a year, if you buy something with a warranty, you expect to be able to use it for the warranty period. This item does not last, and the warranty is impossible to use if purchased on Amazon. Do not buy this walker.
Poor quality

I initially like this walker because it is sturdy and easy to move, but the brake fell out in less than a year.
