Five Star Reviews: | 49% Wonderful displays for the price! June 13, 2017 Wonderful displays for the price! We bought these for all the conference rooms at work, and I liked them so much, I bought one for my house too! Plenty of inputs, easy to use, great picture. They don't have built in "smarts" but I like that so I can add a device of my choosing that I know will work with my network, etc. Have paired these with Google Cromecasts (regular and Ultra) and it works just great! The USB port will even power the standard version, so there's no extra power needed! Super Great TV for a GREAT PRICE! May 24, 2017 Upgraded an old 40" Samsung screen in my bedroom with this - holy crap am I happy. I use it for TV and as a PC monitor and since I'm legally blind it's a GIANTICAL monitor and I can actually see some stuff that I can't see on my 22" monitor at work or my 15" laptop monitor - so I love it! Happy with my purchase October 10, 2016 Was definitely nervous about buying this, but I've had it for a few months now and I love this tv! I use it with my Apple TV and a sound bar and have zero complaints. Love it, I'll buy another one for sure. March 29, 2016 We needed a bigger TV for the living room after buying a new house. The old 40 inch TV just wasn't cutting it in the new room size wise. I hadn't heard of Sceptre before but they had great reviews and everything I found on google seemed to be pretty positive. We wanted a 50 inch TV, and specifically wanted a "dumb" TV. We have a PS4 and a Roku hooked up to the TV so we wouldn't use any "smart TV" features. Its getting harder and harder to find something without those these days.Picture quality and sound is great. The TV is well built. I can see why these things sell like hot cakes. Good quality TV at a very reasonable price. Satisfaction. October 25, 2015 It does the job if you want a plain tv. Nothing special but 1080 resolution, the roku hook up is cool if you use roku.Mess with the picture settings and you'll find a tone of viewing for your pleasure. The base is sturdy even though it looks sleek and fradgle. It's not.The remote feels flimsy but the response on it is good.Gaming is fine, I have a ps4 and you definitely need to mess with the picture settings to enjoy the fullness of the games you're playing. For a 50" tv, my first (major) TV purchase, I'm satisfied.I really don't need all the smart TV stuff because I have another hub for viewing applications. I like it. Sceptre has done it! September 19, 2015 Having owned brands like sharp, westing house, LG and Samsung, I have to say, sceptre is definitely up there with these brands! Beautiful and vivid image, good quality build! And price is the best part! buy it!! | 76% Great deal for high quality September 21, 2017 This wall mount is high quality and very versatile. The basic arms of the mount fit perfectly to our 42" TV, so I would have to assume if you had a larger television the extending arms would just as well. The directions included were easy to follow and all hardware was nicely labeled and included.*Please remember that knowing where your wall studs are or using drywall anchors ensure that the mount is secure.*The mount does offer extension from the wall and the TV moves very easily. My only complaint would be that to angle the TV you must hand adjust and then lock into place making angling the television not always an easy task, but this does ensure more security for your telvision. We also appreciated the level and the HDMI cord that was included with the price. Overall an amazing deal for a quality product that cost upwards of $100 or more in stores.Would definitely buy again and recommend to family and friends. Drill 3/16" Pilot Hole, Not 7/32" - Otherwise Easy to Install and STRONG! June 9, 2016 I used to install TVs for people professionally, so I have used many different mounting systems. I was looking for something cheap, but reliable to hang a 50" LG 50LA6200 LCD TV. I looked at a lot of options both on Amazon as well as elsewhere before settling in this one. I am happy that I did!For starters, this comes with EVERYTHING that you could possible need to hang your TV, with the exception of a #2 phillips head screwdriver and a drill. Included are a complete assortment of screws, bolts and washers (all neatly organized and labeled in individual packets), a double-sided spanner wrench, a very nice magnetic level, and even a 10' HDMI cable. The instructions say to use the "optional" expansion kit for larger TVs. Usually, this is code for "kit not included." I was pleasantly surprised to find that that was not the case here. For once, the "optional" kit was actually included!Installation was a breeze for me, even without instructions since I already know how this works, but I found the instructions relatively easy to follow for those who need them. All of the various configurations for the expansion arms can get confusing, but just try each one until you find the right setup for your TV.** PLEASE NOTE **There is one change to the instructions that I highly suggest, however. The instructions say to drill a 7/32" pilot hole into the stud for each mounting bolt. Then screw the bolt in with a phillips head screwdriver. When I first mounted this (I wound up moving it shortly thereafter), I followed the suggestions for the pilot hole. Sure enough the screw did thread in easily... a little TOO easily. The second hole from the top actually stripped out and I was not putting much force behind the screwdriver at all! When I moved this to the other side of the room, I decided to go with a smaller pilot bit. I used a 3/16" bit instead. Granted, you are not going to thread the bolt in with a screwdriver - you will need a 10mm socket - but doing it this way, those bolts are not going anywhere! You could probably get away with a 13/64" bit, but to really protect your expensive TV, I would want all of the bite I could get!I also found that the inside diameter of one of the washers was a smidge too small for the bolt to go through. I just enlarged it with a round needle file, but since they don't include any spares, if you don't have a file or another washer laying around, you'll need to get one. Just thought I'd throw that out there in the interest of full disclosure.Once this was installed, I was impressed with not only the sturdiness, but also with the complete range of motion. This is fully articulated. You can put your TV pretty much anywhere you want to. The only thing it can't do is move your TV up or down, although you can tilt it to a certain degree. This TV mount is beyond my expectations. Very well built. March 14, 2016 So I was very skeptical of this product when I first looked at it, lots of people saying it would tear out of the wall shortly after installation and all that. Lemme tell you, they just did it wrong or like complete idiots; you do no use dry-wall mounts for a heavy TV, possibly a lighter TV, and I can not stress the word "Light" enough. No one should be using dry-wall mounts in the first place, they are not reliable... plain and simple.Anyways, back to my experience with the product. I have it mounted above my Xbox One about 4 feet off the ground. I mounted to a stud in the wall and right after that, my roommate who weighs around 150 LBS hung off of it for about 5 seconds at the base and it didn't even budge; now that's a tough wall mount if I ever saw one! I put my 40" Samsung TV on the mount, and I can extend/swivel/angle/tilt it however I want. The gear it comes with is pretty high quality and especially the level. For an add on to the product the level is pretty decent for it's designed purpose. The packaging is well done and the parts are all labeled well and accordingly. Make sure you use washers on the outside of the mount before you put the TV adapter on your TV, they will save you a lot of grief.I've had this wall mount for a month so I felt pretty confident in writing a review. I'll add some pictures to let you know the range of motion as well as how the TV looks how I attached the adapter and the part where it's mounted to the wall. I can sit specifically off to the side and enjoy the TV along, I can turn it to look at my PC area so I can play while I talk to friends on Skype or other chat programs and I can turn it to look at my bed and I can enjoy Neflix or Hulu as I lay in bed, nice and cozy.I hope you all enjoyed my review, it's been a blast and I'll be willing to answer any questions you might have. Works great with beefier support to the wall January 31, 2016 Based upon some of the reviews, I mounted support brackets between two studs and using a heavy duty toggle bolts, mounted the wall mount. It went up in about 90 minutes and is solid! Used heavy duty screws to assure it will not fall from the wall.Kit includes level and cable as stated and is great! Articulates out and nice adjustment of the angle. TV looks great! Great quality mount March 2, 2015 8/28/2017 UPDATE: The review and the pictures below are accurate for the TV mount I purchased on 01/26/2015. From the comments I am getting for the past 6 months, it seems that the seller might have changed the product since, and my review and pictures might not match the current product. That is not under my control, seller should have created a new listing for the new product but chose instead to use the same listing because of the 19000+ reviews posted. So please don't blame it on me, I'm just a customer that wrote a review to the product I received back in 2015.Original review written on 03/02/2015:Bought it to mount 3 LED TVs (2x65", 1x50") in an office, chose this model mostly because of the lockable feature. I didn't use the included lag bolts because of the poor quality complaints in previous reviews. I didn't want to take the chance to strip the included bolts so I bought 5/16-9 2-1/2 lag bolts from Lowes (item 63396) and a box of 1/4" Toggler bolts (Lowes item 118084). On one of the 65" TVs and the 50" TV, the 2x4 studs were spaced perfectly and I was able to mount them using 4 lag bolts each. On the other 65" TV, the stud was about 2" off center so I put 2 lag bolts in the stud and 4 toggler bolts in the left and right most holes. I put my entire weight (200 lbs) on each mount half way extended and they held up just fine. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:1. Good quality mount2. Ability to adjust the horizontal leveling (plus/minus 6 deg)3. Lockable mount with 5 mm holes. Most pad locks you can find in stores have 6 mm shackle diameter, but I found the Master Lock 131Q has 5 mm locks and it fit just right.4. 10 ft HDMI cable included5. Long arms give you the option of moving the TV in almost any position.Cons:1. There is nothing to stop the TV from sliding from one way to the other on the two horizontal bars. That would screw up the horizontal alignment every time the TV is moved. Not sure how they didn't think about this. I used some black duct tape to prevent that. I could have drilled holes in the horizontal bars and put some screws in but duck tape was faster.2. I wish I could have been able to use zip ties to route the cable on the wall side from the lower side to the upper side or the mount, but there are no holes to get the zip ties in.Very happy with the purchase overall, would buy again in a heartbeat. You can see how it looks with a 65" TV attached in the pictures below.[...]. Great Mount for a 60" TV May 1, 2012 I mounted a 60" Sharp LED TV to this mount with no problems. I recieved it sooner than expected & it was 98% assembled out of the box. I followed the directions, took the time to do it right & it took about 20 minutes.I always read the negative reviews first & I am baffled as to how people can have problems with this product. This mount is well made & I would recommend it to anyone that is concerned over the reviews stating it sags. The mount can be easily installed by one person as I did below: You may need help to hang your tv on it once it is installed. I am laying this out because of the problems I read about in the other reviews.1. Figure out where your studs are & drive a pin or finish nail on each side of it to be certain where the centers are. Make these small holes about 1/4" above where your mount holes will be drilled. These small holes will be covered by your mount.2. Drill your first pilot hole into the center of the stud & run the first lag bolt & washer through the mount & get it near snug.3. Extend the bracket so you can lean against it.4. While leaning against the mount in a eyed up level position, lay your level on top of the wall bracket & get it level.5. Pull your pencil from behind your ear & mark the second hole which is on the opposite side of your first hole.6. Let it back down & drill the second hole in the center of the stud.7. Move the mount back to the level position & install the lag bolt & washer.8. Tighten the two lag bolts so they are just about crushing the mount into the wall.8. You can now drill your bottom holes & install the lag bolts & washers. Make sure you are in the center of the studs.10. Tighten & retighten all four lag bolts. If these are not tight, you will have problems with the TV sagging when the mount is extended. It is critical that the four lag bolt are tight against the mount. If you skip using the washers, you reduce the strength & stiffness of your mount.Any fine tuning needed can be done on the 3 bolt swivel plate after the TV is on the mount. The mounting bracket has holes so you can install mud rings & plates for your wiring. I will be installing a recessed power outlet on one side & a brush cover faceplate on the other for the signal cables on the other. The mounting bracket has wire chases so everything is neat & held to avoid crushing cables. The only thing I will do to modify the mount is to drill a small hole in the upper portion of each pivot point to allow me to easily give each pivot a shot of WD-40 once in awhile. This should keep it operating smoothly & keep things from getting tweaked if it gets a little sticky from dust & oxidation. | 55% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 20% Go for it! June 12, 2017 Honestly the TV was cheap. But I needed something right away as i just moved back from Europe and it cost a fortune. Super easy to put on the feet and connect everything. The picture is amazing. It seems durable. We will see. And it is made in the good ole USA. I am happy I bought it. Maybe I will now consider the larger size. Cool for the price April 15, 2017 TV works great but it needs a sound bar to amplify the sound. I also had a converter box to watch regular TV because I don't have cable. Best bang for your buck April 5, 2017 Best bang for your buck, but like others have warned I had to get a sound bar to get to where I liked the sound. great picture. all around great tv March 26, 2017 Item purchased for a "kiosk" for a church missions board. item exactly as described. great picture. all around great tv. Definetly worth every penny. February 26, 2017 Look, Its a cheap tv, so dont expect greatness. BUT, for the money i did pay, Its a perfect TV. The only bad thing is the sound. its very tinny sounding. I bought a sound bar and it made the TV 1000 times better. No other complaints. Looks great on the wall mount at my mothers house Picture is great the only thing I don't like it doesn't have ... July 17, 2016 Picture is great the only thing I don't like it doesn't have control buttons on the television so you have to use the remote | 15% Secure Wall Mount... Some Difficulties with a Larger TV October 9, 2017 Seems to be a very strong wall mount, which is excellent and what you would buy this for. However, I found it extremely complicated to get the TV into a position I liked, as moving it around was not very cohesive. I finally have the TV (a 55" flat screen) where I want it and the anchors/wall mounts seem to be doing exactly what they need to. The thing could almost hold my full weight (170lbs) after being secured to a stud, which I guess, at the end of the day, is what you're buying this for. Also, getting the bracket to fit the back of my TV was a real son of a gun. I had to really jury-rig the additional pieces to get it. I feel PRETTY confident with what I was able to do, but rigging things together is always my last resort and leaves me feeling not 100% certain with the product's integrity. Will update if anything changes. Really great deal for the price September 26, 2017 I'm tempted to give this 5 stars, because it really is amazing for the price. I have a wall mount that cost me about 4X the cost that doesn't have the adjustability of this one. This also came with a lot of different hardware, a HDMI cable, and a level! I've already used the level to mount a new soundbar to the wall, and I used some of the different hardware (bolts) to mount another TV on a bracket that I hadn't kept the other sizes for.I'm only knocking off one star because there's some slop that allows the TV to rotate about 10 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise, so I periodically have to level it out. But to get that kind of precision machining would probably at least double the price, and it's not like the thing is flimsy - the vertical bracket alone is really heavy duty. then this is a good buy. The cons June 22, 2017 I have two of these now, and they perform as expected, which is key here. If you are just looking at something affordable that will allow you to mount a monitor on the wall with only OCCASIONAL movement needed (such as connecting or disconnecting HDMI/Audio cables when necessary, then this is a good buy.The cons: the rotation on the monitor face (going from 0 on X axis to anything more) feels to be about 10,degrees of rotation, so i believe its really only there to provide adjustment for sloppy mounting to the wall, or something. The arms that extend from the mountpoint on the wall, to the monitor, are VERY tight.Take care when man-handling your monitor when you need to extend the monitor from the wall, you might break the monitor from the mount points in the back of it. it hasnt happened to me, but it might. Lastly, the bolts that come with this are very easily stripped when attempting to drill this into the wall BE CAREFUL. That is, unless you never want to remove it from the wall. in that case, be my guest.Moral of the story is, that i'm relatively satisfied, but i dont think ill ever have to rebuy this, since i have 2 now. Whenever i decide an upgrade is needed, it will be to accommodate movement on the Y axis, for increased viewing flexibility, some thing like this i found on a very quick on basic search: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Motion-Computer-Monitors/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=zg_bs_10967501_6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P3T4VCDYW7SYCTV0FPM1 Good product for a reasonable price. June 21, 2017 Seems solid enough for my older model Vizio, which is pretty heavy. The installation is easy, attaching to the wall us simple enough, they even give you a little level (which is a pretty handy size for other stuff). It is required that the unit be mounted to a stud, which I would do anyway on something this heavy. Attaching the arms to the back of the set is an exercise in trial and error but I got it after a couple of tries. Hoisting the set onto the wall unit is fairly easy using the guide tab on the mounting bracket. I did it alone, but would be better as a two man job, There is lots of left over nuts and screws which would be used in other installations. A few issues, but good in the end April 22, 2017 We have a 40 inch Roku TV and this was bought to go with it. The instructions are easy to follow and it wasn't difficult to mount on the wall after finding the stud, except for the fact that the screws that came with it break easily and we had to find replacements. Once it was up on the wall, it was easy from there. There is a lip that the television sits on that is easy to click into place and then two screws that hod it in. It has a tilt function and the arm is nice and long so it can me moved around wherever you need it to be. It kinda reminds me of the ones you see at hospitals, where you can swing it out over a bed or other piece of furniture.Overall, this was an easy installation and a good choice. Its OK, does what it should. March 8, 2017 Arrived on time and undamaged.Does the job, nice motion range. If it had included a little stud finder instead of a level and little sturdier mounting screws it would've warranted a 5 star. But, I am completely satisfied with it. Took me less than 45 min to install (would've been faster with the level/stud finder switch) Just wish they had used hardened screws for the actual mounting screws. Once they were close to being seated in the wall they began to strip out. If I ever need to move the thing, I will have to replace those cheap self-tapping screws. Other than those couple small things it is a pretty solid mount. | 18% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 7% It seems to be a nice set. No problems yet other than the remote ... March 1, 2016 It seems to be a nice set. No problems yet other than the remote is hard to work the TV, even from 6 to 8 feet away. Three Stars February 15, 2016 Nice picture, but horrible refresh rate.I will rather invest $100 more on a better brand Five Stars January 21, 2016 Love it.....nope changing my review only had it a little over a year and the picture went out TV has died 13 months later - but it was 'okay' til now December 6, 2015 Owned this tv since 2015It worked okay, serving it's purpose (til now)Remote is terrible. You usually have to aim directly at the power lightAnd it has trouble sending a signal around small objects on my coffee tableSound wasn't great - you could set it to 'music' to get clear voices - but otherwise badDetails seemed okay - but colors are not vibrant or rich compared to higher end displaysConnections placement is rather silly - you have to bend your cords to fit them into the back portsWhich is why they included a single hdmi extension I guessAll in all, wouldn't recommend | 4% Great mount, completely eclipsed by P.O.S. screws that make this worthless without extra work on your part. November 9, 2017 The mounting screws that come with this strip like they're made of soft plastic. There is a RIDICULOUS number of reviews here, even 4 and 5 stars, talking about how crappy the screws are, that my girlfriend did not notice when she bought this. Glad I checked and saw the countless other people having issues stripping the screws VideoSecu cheaped out on, cuz for a second I thought I lost my manly touch with power tools. -_-But seriously, if you plan on mounting a possibly very expensive TV with this, I HIGHLY recommend you buy better screws on your own, because the ones VideoSecu provides are not worthy of the rest of the mount, which is very well built and sturdy. I honestly couldn't care less how well it's built though, because it doesn't matter if the practically most important part of the device are junky. My fix:Instead of buying better screws that VideoSecu should have provided based on the numerous issues they are causing for tons of people, just switch over to a socket wrench or use a bit socket that wraps the whole screw head. Come to think of it, it's almost like these were meant to be socketed in, and like the phillips screw head was added to a hex head screw or something crazy like that. Anyways socket wrench em in. I recommend against changing your pilot hole size as some others have suggested. That is usually a bad idea (unless you're going very slightly smaller to make it a tighter grip). Good luck. great two less screws to drill on my wall October 11, 2017 I've had my fair share of TV wall mounts but this is my first where the support bracket is only on one side. My initial thought was, great two less screws to drill on my wall. Unfortunately, after installing this and mounting my 55" LG LED TV the top screw gave and away goes the TV on my head. Fortunately the bottom screw was still holding on fairly well. After that scare I used a thicker screw for the top part of the mount, used the supplied screws for second reinforcement on the top and at last the bottom.Now....the waiting game starts, it's been up for 30 minutes so I guess so far so good.I would give this 4 stars but the mount seems a bit flimsy. But, I guess for the price you cant be too picky, or nitpicky like they call me at work. Great job, but the 2 mounting issues kept me from giving this 5 stars June 5, 2017 Works great after a month, although I can't give it 5 stars because I had to mount it to a board due to the fact that the distance between studs didn't match up with the mount, also, I wanted to mount the tv low, but was unable to because the holes on the mount wouldn't line up. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? so I had to mount the tv higher than i wanted. Instructions were easy to follow and mounting was simple. Complete May 8, 2017 The product is what it says it is. A small TV or Monitor mount. nothing special. I do have some concerns with the fact it only mounts at one point to one stud, but they do make bigger mounts and that may be what you need if this doesn't work for you. I also liked it came with the HDMI cord and a level. The product worked for me on three different TV's in three rooms and one room even being above the fireplace in brick. There is more than enough screws and hardware included with the exception of washers. for some reason each package only contained enough washer for three of the four TV screws on the back. other than that, works good. Does the job, sturdy, good price March 9, 2017 I couldn't find the plate mounts I've used several of over the years, so I tried this one for a Hitachi 43" TV (43R5). The instructions are vague and you'd think it would be easy to figure out on your own. After a lot of trial and error I finally got it to fit, somewhat. The main problem was on the Hitachi, the bottom mounting holes are low on the TV causing the brackets to slightly extend down below the TV. If the TV was mounted low, it wouldn't be a problem, but mounted high on the wall like mine, the brackets show. It may not be a problem on other TV's, but I wouldn't recommend this for a Hitachi 43R5 if mounted high. It works fine, but would not buy again. March 3, 2017 It works. Holds my 50" Plasma (55 lbs) just fine. I attached it to a beam, not a stud.PROS:Comes with plenty of hardware and an HDMI cable.Price (I paid ~$25.)After finding the stud, mounting the TV is pretty simple.CONS:You're hosed if a stud isn't in the spot you need it to be.The mounting bracket isn't in the center of the TV, so you have to offset the mount by about 3 inches. Not indicated in the directions.I would not buy this model again because of the limited mounting options. I'd buy one with upper and lower mounting rails that span 2 studs for more easy centering. | 10% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 8% Two Stars January 28, 2017 audio never, at any point, worked at all. tried suggested remedies, no success, still no audio. Should be cheaper have to buy new tv with in a year November 24, 2016 8 months and is going out purple streaks across the center of tv TV OK...remote totally broken. January 14, 2016 TV was ok. Remote didn't work right out of the box which is frustrating. OK picture for the price. Buggy firmware November 21, 2015 I have a Sceptre computer monitor that has been going strong for at least a decade, and I thought I would try out one of their TV models. If you can put up with some of the downfalls, this might be an OK TV for you. If you like to nitpick, then I would suggest going with something more expensive. For starters, the picture looks decent at a 1080p resolution. There was nothing out of the ordinary when it came to the colors and picture quality, and I didn't feel the need to fine-tune any of the picture settings upon taking it out of the box (although I admit I am no videophile). The remote is basic and cheap, but gets the job done. Soundbar controls are built right into the remote, which is a nice touch for anyone that want to buy a Sceptre soundbar. There are also plenty of inputs/outputs on the back of the TV, including 3 HDMI ports and also some now-uncommon ports such as a VGA connector and coaxial SPDIF outputUnfortunately, that's probably the only nice thing I can say. The black uniformity is horrible, and the flashlighting/clouding effect that was present was bad enough to distract me during a dark movie scene in a dark room. The sound leaves much to be desired, but thin TVs like this usually have crappy speakers to begin with. Voices sounded fine, but bass was lacking even with the SRS settingsThe main issue with this TV is that the firmware controlling the OSD seems to be very buggy. The first thing I noticed was that the backlight brightness setting would constantly reset to 100 every time I turn on the TV. Another issue was that trying to change the screen size would always freeze that option when selecting "Auto". When that happens, no picture was being shown until I reset the settings to factory default. Also on one occasion, the TV froze for a good minute while changing channels, and the TV literally reset itselfI contacted Sceptre support, and they suggested to order a replacement unit. I ended up doing that, and even the replacement unit had the exact same problems. Then then wanted me to send it back to their warehouse for repairs. The OSD problems could probably be fixed with a firmware update, but I wasn't willing to send them a $400 guinea pig. I ended up returning both units and buying a Vizio for $50 more. So far I'm not regretting that decision hooked them up and it sounds great. other than that November 1, 2015 as I read in an earlier review, the sound leaves a lot to be desired, I had an old set of computer speakers, hooked them up and it sounds great. other than that, I love it...revision...I don't love it anymore ...when I first got this tv I was really happy with it. ive had it just over 2 years...got up this morning had sound but no pic...dead screen, and to fix it would cost as much as buying a new one. a good little tv if u don't mind buying a new one every 2 years Highly Disappointed. Dead pixels first day. Remote fails. October 19, 2015 Very disappointed.I had high hopes for this TV after reading the reviews but 5 minutes out of the box i got the base installed and attempted to turn it on to find the remote doesnt work with the shrink wrapped batteries it came with. So i turned it on manually and INSTANTLY noticable dead pixels. 5 to be exact, (3 in the photos attached) sound is pretty bad but that doesnt bother me for I have a sound system and Id still give it 5 stars despite that if it wasn't for the above issues. I Will revoke this bad review if company works with me to exchange for a good tv.tv came 3 days after expected delivery and I'm an amazon prime memeber but thats a differential issue entirely. | 2% Extremely wobbley and difficult to center September 22, 2017 Initially this mounting bracket seemed good. It felt sturdy, came with plenty of hardware, and it was relatively easy to attach our TV (which weighs just under 39 lbs, so well within the weight limit for the bracket). The directions that came with it are somewhat overwhelming. There are 3 individual pages, front & back, of directions. If they were attached in booklet form they'd be much easier to keep track of. We carefully measured the space where we wanted to mount our TV, found the center of the wall, and mounted the bracket. When we attached the TV to the bracket and folded it back towards the wall, the TV is off center by about 3". Also, even with everything tightened down, the TV is disturbingly wobbley on the backet. It's not the tilt that's wobbley, so not the "up/down" direction, it wobbles to the left/right at the part that connects to the TV. Our TV was sagging to the left pretty badly. We were able to level it out and it does hold level pretty well as long as you don't touch it.The wobbling killed my confidence in the bracket. I wanted to take the TV down within minutes of mounting it. We'll be replacing this bracket very soon. Mount sucks May 7, 2017 This mount takes 3 people to install your tvI have purchased a lot of mounts and hung tvs by my self but this one sucksI purchased because it had a good rating and thought I would give it a tryWent ahead and hung tv but will probably change out for a better mountDo your self a favor and buy a better mount Better for small/light TVs, and maybe a corner display. February 13, 2017 This did not work for my LG 42" flat panel. The braces could only be attached at the top because the lower ones covered both the AC plug in and all the inputs. The flange that attaches the mount to the wall needs to be much longer, IMO. I just don't believe it will hold to the wall reliably. Finally, when folded flat against the wall, the TV is about 3" left-of-center and the mounting design didn't allow any adjustment in that direction. I returned it for a standard wall mount with two rails. Can't Center TV! November 30, 2016 While this is a solid mount, there is no way to adjust the center of the TV once it's mounted. I attached the mount so it was centered over my fireplace, where I intentionally placed a stud while framing the wall. After mounting the TV, I pushed it back against the wall and it was 3 inches off center due to the configuration of the mount arms. It looks pretty bad with the TV being that far off. This seems like a pretty basic adjustment that all mounts should have, and it makes no mention in the description that it is lacking this feature. I'm returning this and getting a different mount that has the required adjustability. If the base was level, the mount and TV were not July 29, 2016 I got this mount because of the Prime Day price and the reviews. I removed my existing mount, which was perfectly level, and replaced it with this. When I installed it the base was perfectly level, but the end where you hang the TV was not at all. I had to loosen the bolts and adjust the mount every way I could to get the left side all the way up in hopes that the TV would end up level. It took a while and some frustration, but I got it as level as it can be. Now I'm hesitant to move the TV at all for fear of it shifting somehow and the left side dropping again. Maybe They've Switched Models January 30, 2013 Yes the mount is cheap and yes it holds up my TV and yes it was easy to put up, but that's where the compliments stop. The mount I received can never be level. When it's pushed in it leans one way and when I pull it out it leans the other way. There's no way to adjust that side-to-side tilt of your TV as the joint only adjusts up and down. I had to laugh with the level included b/c all it does is highlight how uneven the mount is. \Looking at the picture others have posted I see a nice cover for where the bolts go, more than two places to put the bolts in and silver metal on arm. The one I received is like the new stock photo. Completely square plate, no silver metal showing and only two places to attach bolts. While the metal is very heavy/sturdy, it feels like a cheap production and lacks attention to detail. I've given up on keeping the TV level and am just living with it for now. The arm is very stiff and difficult to pull in and out even with a 32" TV on it.I should have spent $10-20 more to get a quality mount, but this just seems to be one of those cases where the manufacturing got switched to some cheaper factory and the quality has gone down as a result. Keep shopping people. | 5% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 16% Bottom Line DON'T Buy! September 12, 2017 worked amazing for a year. but of course after the warranty expired a few months back the tv blew out. customer service was no help Amazon or Sceptre bottom line don't waste your time get a real name brand basically told me I was sol TV Sucks. June 1, 2017 4 months and it is toast. Don't buy it. Can't return it ether. Now I have to buy another. I think I will spend the extra cash and get a Samsung. I have had TV less than 18 months. I ... May 18, 2017 I have had TV less than 18 months. I turned the TV off and heard a snap sound from within the TV, now the TV will not turn on anymore. This is only a 60HZ Refresh Rate. You get terrible picture and sound. Do Not Buy this Junk! April 10, 2017 A waste of money. WARNING - DO NOT PURCHASE. The picture and sound are exceptionally terrible. The screen has a terrible refresh rate of 60HZ - not apparent on any advertised specs (the mfgr twists it to 120mmc - a meaningless measure). The manufacturer also passes this screen off as as a 4K UHD which it does not render . THIS FLAT SCREEN DOES NOT EVEN MEASURE UP TO EVEN MEDIOCRE STANDARDS.. You get what you pay for, and a bargain basement flat screen is a terrible waste of money. To the rescue came AMAZON Returns. The only problem was repacking the screen. It took about two hours to get it ready for shipment with my wife and I laboring over it. Stick with the top rated brands if you are interested in decent video and audio. Minus a billion Stars January 24, 2016 If I could give this a negative billion stars, I would. The stupid thing flashes "Sceptre" about 5 times when you turn it on (and has a hot spot blue streak running across the top), then goes blank. Nothing. No inputs, no sound, no sources, nothing. Little blue light is illuminated at the bottom indicating that the tv is on. My husband has been working in the A/V industry for the past 23 years, needless to say, he was pretty ticked off when I bought this brand. Now I know why. Oh, also, no instruction manual, warranty information, or anything else you would expect to come with any kind of product you buy. On the upside, they included a Phillips screwdriver to attach the base to the TV. So that was nice. | 3% Design flaw, shop elsewhere. September 16, 2017 Horrible bolt system. Save your time and money shop somewhere else. The bolts become captive when you insert them. Had a heck of a time getting them back out to adjust the mount. And it tore up the wall and took an extra 2hours to mount this thing. They need to rethink the design of the mounting system. I've hung several televisions and never have I dealt with such nonsense. Not to mention that they never tell you anything about it. Never again! ... this mount a few days ago and it looked great taking it out of the box September 7, 2017 Received this mount a few days ago and it looked great taking it out of the box. However, the mounting plate is only 16" wide, so the lag bolts in the widest position would only be about 15-15.5" apart. It's not the end of the world, but the fact that the plate isn't designed to fit a standard stud width just frustrates me. I'm sending it back and buying something else I would not recommend to anyone unless if a professional was going to ... April 14, 2017 Very difficult to put together for a large tv, took a while to figure out how to angle the piece that attaches to the tv. I would not recommend to anyone unless if a professional was going to do the work. Could not support 55 inch curved TV December 19, 2016 Could not support a 55 inch curved TV. Arm bent and 2 screws popped out of the wall Not happy at all December 1, 2016 Not happy at all. The cheap bolts that come with it two out of the 3 mounting bolts heads broke off. So had to go buy better screws. Then when I finally got the mount installed it was a pain to get the tv up there. To hard to do by your self like they said it is. Now two days later I noticed my tv was not str8. Yes the arm is already bent. This product is trash. Plus it was to hard to open and move.
