Five Star Reviews: | 60% Love these July 21, 2017 These work great. I can use it on the cast iron pans, baking stones and coated pans. Ridges help to get into small areas. They have been very durable. Well designed scrapper for Lodge grill pans June 18, 2017 Love these scrapers, They fit the groves and ridges of my Lodge Grill Pan perfectly! I like that they are nice and stiff for cleaning even the tough grilling residue after charring my steaks. I've used these scrapers to clean between the groves after cooking juicy hamburgers, rib-eye steaks, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, and chicken thighs so far. These nifty scrapers clean the groves without harming my cured cast iron surface. Not only are these scrappers effective cleaning tools, they are also properly designed to fit most any hand I would think. Anytime I order Lodge products they are delivered here at my doorstep ahead of schedule often times. But never late. Great product, great seller with good customer service by the fast delivery. However I've found I love these on my stainless pans too April 24, 2017 I bought these for my husband. He's been really into the Lodge brand and cast iron through grilling season. However I've found I love these on my stainless pans too! We scramble a lot of eggs and no matter what I do I can't get through making eggs without a stuck on mess. I HATE doing dishes and HATE hearing scraping on my stainless pans. The plain/rounded edge does an awesome job peeling up that stuck on egg so I can put my pan in the dishwasher with no worries. These are a must for anyone who cooks with cast iron! April 5, 2017 These are perfect for scraping my cast iron skillets and griddle! The notches fit perfectly on the ribbed grill side of the griddle which helps remove cooked-on food particles, and the rounded corner works great on bottom edge of the skillet. These are a must for anyone who cooks with cast iron! Great for my Lodge griddle August 27, 2016 I purchased these scrapers to use with my Lodge griddle. I am new to cooking with cast iron, but I found these very easy to use and quite effective. I primarily use the flat side, but the grooved side is handy as well. but nothing gets into the grooves like these scrapers May 1, 2016 These scrapers are a must-have for Lodge pans that have a ridged bottom. They make clean-up a breeze. I used to try using a sponge or a scrubber, but nothing gets into the grooves like these scrapers. The curved part gets into the "corners" of the pan, too. The scrapers get off stuck-on food, but don't disturb the seasoning. The package has 2, but I'm only using one. I guess eventually it'll wear out or something and I'll start using the other. | 80% Perfect Size! August 23, 2017 I've used these for year because of the size. They are perfect for making brownies in that I give away. I'm always giving meals and deserts away and this is just a perfect size for so many things. My boyfriend dose use them also for BBQ with different woods and the trays are perfect for that wonderful smoking flavor as well. no leaking August 4, 2017 It is an aluminum pan to catch drippings manufactured to fit a Weber grill. It doesn't leak. There is not much to say about it other than it doesn't leak. The size is not available at our local grocery store baking aisle. A must have for weber grills October 23, 2016 You need to have these pans if you own a weber grill. With the enclosed cabinet on my new model 3000 you have to check the amount of gunk from grilling food or face the mess that an over-filled pan will cause. I keep them handy in the storage part of my new grill cabinet. Glad to find these to have on hand September 3, 2016 We purchased a Weber Spirit three burner grill this summer and like it very much. We have used it a lot and one of these foil pans came with it but I wanted a back up supply of them for when that one is finally too greasy to clean, which has not been the case yet. So I just have these as a back up. the right price January 12, 2016 So glad that I found these! My Weber grill is about 15+ years old. I've made due with grocery store aluminum pans that don't fit right. These are the best competitive prices I've found. Will keep and will reorder again. :-) Perfect Fit.....for your Weber December 22, 2015 What can you say about an aluminum pan.....it fits....price is reasonable... I am a BIG Weber Fan....You cannot go wrong buying Weber products...BTW, it is smart to change these pans more than once a season....I learned my lesson on that... They will not corrode through, but, they do get pretty dirty...and it will draw insects, smell, etc.. |
Four Star Reviews: | 16% the only thing better is that awful chain male to scrub your cast ... July 12, 2017 the only thing better is that awful chain male to scrub your cast iron pan. that it can also be used on a grill rack made this a no brain-er to buy. Useful Tool For Grill Pans & Skillets... April 17, 2017 Works great for scraping off gunk that has begun to harden onto my cast iron pan without having to soak/remove my seasoning. The grooves are great for grill pans while the curved side works well on my other skillets. A two pack for $3 is as good of a price as you'll find anywhere, too. Works Well March 28, 2017 These work really well for cast iron pans or cookie sheets but it would be better to have another edge w/ a smaller radius than the big one but more of a radius than the 90 degree corners. That would make it easier to clean around the inside edges of the pan. I'd say they could only be better if the smaller teeth were just a bit wider ... January 27, 2017 I have one of the Lodge ridged cast iron pans, and using this scraper definitely makes cleaning much easier. I'd say they could only be better if the smaller teeth were just a bit wider so it could scrape the sides of the ridges, but a little wiggling around gets the job done. Well worth the few bucks for an add-on. sturdy, but both pieces are exactly the same August 13, 2016 I bought these because they were in the 'is often bought with' section when I purchased my Cuisinart Griddler. These were fairly inexpensive, but nice quality. My only complaint is that the 'tongues' don't really fit the 'grooves' of my griddler plates... the big side is too big, the small side is too small, so it really only cleans about 2/3 of the width of the grooves. This definitely isn't a flaw in the product, but I wish they had made the 2nd one slightly different to accommodate other pans/plates - instead they are both exactly the same. I don't really need two that are exactly the same. GREAT Grill Pan Scraper! October 4, 2013 Great! has 2 different widths so fits different grill pans with different width and depth of ridges. It doesn't hurt teflon or ceramic grill pan surfaces, and is wonderful on cast iron. Just wish it had a longer profile or handle so I don't get my fingers so close to the hot grilled veggies and hot pan surface, but it's totally workable if I just pay attention so as not to burn a finger. Helps with hand washing the grill pans too! Makes cleaning them so much faster and easier. | 14% Great product June 23, 2017 I gave it four stars because of the price That being said it is a great accessory for my new Weber grill Much better than the old soup can that you put under the grill to catch the grease I looked for this size in grocery and dollar stores to no avail Makes keeping the grill grease free easier to clean Just toss in the garbage when it's full Nothing could be easier. Weber brand is better than other cheaper ones June 7, 2017 They are what they are. Weber brand is better than other cheaper ones. Just wish they were a little less in price Made for the BBQ June 4, 2016 Not much to say about the product. It is just like the one that came with the BBQ. Suggest changing them before they fill up. I have found that the acids in the drippings from cooking will eat pinholes in the aluminum and you'l get a mess in the bottom of the BBQ. Convenient, good quality, over priced December 30, 2015 Honestly, they cost too much- but that's prob because they are better quality they need to be. Fairly heavy aluminum pans for catching oil and gunk from your grill. Could you do the same with any small tin or heavy foil? Absolutely! But convenience has a price, and this is it. Recommend you double up October 28, 2015 Good price. Close to big box stores and this one was delivered to my doorstep. I do find that I need to use two of these at a time because quite a few times they will eat through and cause a mess. I usually double them up just in case. If it doesn't eat through, just change out the top one. You never know... January 3, 2014 How much you miss these until the ones that came with your grill run out. A MUST HAVE for Q owners! They fit precisely where nothing else will, and the cost per is decent. Worth your $ |
Three Star Reviews: | 11% Great idea, need diffrent material September 17, 2017 Being that these are true Lodge products, I figured that they would have been a bit flexible....but instead they are almost the hardest plastic known to man which I can see being an issue after extended amount of uses. i have used it a few times and it is good at scraping out my lodge cast iron griddle/range grill June 27, 2017 very difficult to review this, i have used it a few times and it is good at scraping out my lodge cast iron griddle/range grill, but it doesn't really clean anything. it can get bulk out if there is bulk, which there rarely is, but to scrub out between the "grill" you gotta use good old fashioned elbow grease and likely a butter knife or something wrapped in a cloth, my fingers sure aren't getting in there, and i am not leaving anything there to sour. it ALMOST does what you want it to do. Just Okay June 14, 2017 The little nibs do not reach the bottom of the grill pan - they are helpful to get the sides of the ridges, but I still have to scrub with a brush to get the bottom. I do like using the rounded side for my normal cast iron pans.-----[...]! :) Hard Plastic March 4, 2017 I thought these would be flexible, but they're not. Just hard plastic squares. They do what they're meant to do, but I can't say I would buy these again. I can find about anything I already own to do the same job as these. I thought they were "special" scrapers, but they're just chunks of plastic. Good concept, poor execution. August 21, 2016 This scraper is the "crucial" companion to your cast iron cookware as they'd like you to believe. It does what they say it does, for the most part. The reason I purchased this in particular was to scrape out gunk from between the raised parts of my two grill pans. Unfortunately the tines that are designed specifically for this purpose are not long enough to effectively remove gunk from inside the pan. The only way for it to reach the bottom of the pan is to hold the scraper perpendicular to the pan, which is an incredibly awkward angle to try and scrape. This is a decent product, but I feel there are better alternatives on the market. Definitely recommend for home use February 8, 2016 This is the only style of these I've ever purchased. I am interested in seeing if there are others out there that can help break off the stock on charred project left on my grill. But as a home user style. This would be quite sufficient | 4% A little bit smaller than I was expecting but not ... June 9, 2017 A little bit smaller than I was expecting but not their fault. Just don't know what I would use it under to collect juices in my smoker as it is smaller than most chickens. prepare for imperfections September 24, 2016 packaged with a 20# bag of dog food, seriously, all trays were dented on the side, granted this is cosmetic, however, better packaging decision might be needed. they work fine, they do the job June 23, 2015 Why Weber had to pick a non-standard size is beyond me. every grocery store stocks cheap aluminum pans, but not THIS size. I guess I'm frustrated with Weber and not the pans themselves. As for the pans, they work fine, they do the job, they are reasonably inexpensive. They work July 14, 2013 Of course they work, all they do is catch grease. They're expensive for what they are, but well made. The main reason they got 3 stars is they have blown out of the holder on the grill twice, dumping grease all over the drive. You would think that for the money they would fit well enough not to be easily blown out of the holder. |
Two Star Reviews: | 6% I am not impressed with this item. June 16, 2017 I am not impressed with this item. Although this is a sturdy product, I am not happy with the way it scrapes and I feel it very much needs improvement. I have another brand (of flat type pot scrapers) that works much better, even for grills. I would not buy this item again and I would not recommend it. Get the brush from OXO May 3, 2017 These don't work. The grooves don't even fit the grooves on the electric grill. Flimsy! Hard to hold and use. a $.99 steel wool scrubber does a better job December 13, 2016 With all the good reviews, it should be very good.As a test, fry a steak in a lodge cast iron pan, then try to scrape off the residue with the Lodge scrapper. It did not clean good. After multiple running in warm water, heating up the pan again, etc. The scrapper still did not do a good job. Got mad and just use a steel wool scrubber, which did the job. They aren't sturdy enough to get the really tough stuff off July 30, 2016 These don't seem to do the trick. They aren't sturdy enough to get the really tough stuff off, and when I heated the pan a bit to loosed the stuck-on bits, the ends of the scraper melted. Please make these at least as heat-resistant as a normal spatula. Not so great July 5, 2016 Didn't find these to be that helpful. They didn't seem to fit exactly between the grill sections, and you're supposed to use them when the grill is still slightly warm,so they partially melted. I'll just scrape the grill down with a metal spatula like I have before. ( Grill brushes scare me, especially after seeing a news clip on how tiny metal particles can come off of them and can be swallowed by people who then have gotten serious internal injuries.) | 1% Two Stars February 28, 2017 No place to store so many - would rather have bought a different item. One that could be washed. slightly too small November 13, 2016 Doesn't fit exactly...little too small so falls through . I kept them and bent out the edge if the aluminum to make them fit Love the grill ,but foil does the trick just fine! July 6, 2016 They work fine but a piece of foil works just as well!!!!!! Love my weber grill. Nope they look like something my little granddaughter would use to play in ... April 27, 2015 Oh my, these were so tiny, I sent them right back. I somehow when I see size on some items I don't really visualize. I just figured it's the regular size pans.... Hahaha... Nope they look like something my little granddaughter would use to play in her play kitchen. Not for any summit grill November 7, 2014 I should have measured before buying, but I trusted the description. These do not fit in a 4 burner summit grill. |
One Star Reviews: | 7% Unnecessary junk. Period. September 25, 2017 Unnecessary junk. Period. I'm new to cast iron and thought I needed these and one of those chainmail scrubber things to deal with the painful downside of cast iron - cleaning it after use, WRONG. The ABSOLUTE BEST way to clean any cast iron pan is a cheap box of salt, some warm water, and a rag or a couple paper towels, oh, and time and elbow grease and a growing appreciation for the classic functionality and cooking forgiveness of cast iron. Pour in a small pile of salt, a splash or water to keep it together and in the pan, and start rubbing away the crud like magic, then rinse it out, maybe repeat if needed, heat it on the oven for a couple minutes to dry, wipe on some olive oil, and done. These things? Completely unnecessary and useless compared to the salt scrub method. No they don't fit the grill pan grates, they don't remove stuck on crud without sending it flying across the kitchen and landing who knows where, and they are less than worthless after using the salt scrub method with ease. Not compatible with Vremi skillet is was grouped with as "frequently bought together". Plus measurements given do not match prod September 2, 2017 These are shown together with a Vremi cast iron grill skillet, yet the spacing of the teeth on either edge of this product do not align with the grill grooves of the skillet, are are therefore a useless waste of money for me. Can Not Recommend . May 31, 2017 Don't buy !! absolute waste of money , they are soft plastic , they melt if the pan is hot , they wear down Very Fast . Groove did not fit my pan May 12, 2015 I have a lodge pan so I thought these grooves would fit. Unfortunately they do not and i end up having to use the edge to clean one groove at a time. | 1% "Not to be used for salty or acidic foods. ... September 30, 2017 "Not to be used for salty or acidic foods." What else would you barbecue? Hole came in bottom and grease went into catch pan. Liner served no purpose. Broke within 5 months! December 21, 2016 Purchased in August this year and broke in December! If this is representative of the product, it sucks! If it's a defective product, it needs to be replaced. Worked well when it was working! But good quality May 16, 2016 Well my fault for not reading the size... But didn't even know they make them this small. But good quality One Star September 22, 2015 Much smaller than I thought - I should have read the description more carefully. |
