I started searching for a great probiotic after years of discomfort and research showed that many people have great improvement from abdominal discomfort after finding the right probiotic. The Ultra 30 was appealing because of the 30 Billion CFU and 18 different strains of bacteria, that is awesome. To get a stronger probiotic you may have to get a prescription from what I've read. After taking it for a month I was hooked. I felt great improvement in my gut and wasn't getting sick when everyone around me was ill.

I was about 6 weeks away from my Caribbean vacation, and I couldn't eat without horrible pain. I was bloated every day with no relief, gassy, irritable, with horrible acne, and just plain miserable. I felt so hopeless! After doing very extensive research on candida and probiotics, I landed on Ultra-30 as my choice of probiotic, and it has helped TREMENDOUSLY. After half a bottle, I felt 75% better than I had been. I ordered another bottle, and will continue to take daily, I truly believe this helped to heal my system. I also tried to cut back as much as possible on refined sugars and refined flours/carbs. I've slowly incorporated those things back into my diet with no issues! This has given me my life back - we leave next week with our vacation, and I am so thankful that I don't have to worry about my issues!

I have taken probiotics off and on for years. I worked and managed a health food store several years ago so I know about probiotics and I know that it is real hard to find a product that has all the good bacteria in it that it claims to . Light and heat and time kill the bacteria that is supposed to be in a supplement. So I was very interested to try this product. I have been having a lot of trouble with bloating and gas and I know my intestinal bacteria is out of whack. Also I have learned that when you begin to take probiotics regularly that it is easier on you if you start out with a low dosage and work up to a maintenance higher dosage. So I began using another product which is a lower dosage and then I tried this probiotic and I am only taking 1 capsule although it recommends 2. I have to say that after taking 1 capsule for six weeks I have noticed great Improvement with my bloating and gas problem. I will soon start taking two a day and we will see how I do with that. I feel like this is a good product and believe it must contain a good amount of the bacteria that it claims to because I have gotten quicker and better results taking the Ultra 30 than I have from any other probiotic I have taken in the past.

This probiotic is amazing. My husband and I have tried a few others and this one by far outperforms everything we've tried. Although my husband had no problems whatsoever when starting this probiotic, I did have stomach upset and bloating. I stopped taking it for two days and then started again, with no side affects. I've had chronic digestion and colon issues and this product has brought my system back into balance. I will definitely order this product again and recommend it to friends and family.

This is one of the two probiotics I am currently using to cover all the strains I wanted for my son and myself. I've been looking into probiotics for months and after countless hours I was able to narrow down what we personally were looking for and Ultra-30 Probiotics are half of the equation. Most of the probiotics I've tried have been around the same size and while I definitely prefer the capsules over tablets just for ease of swallowing, I can deal with either. These happen to be delayed release tablets which oddly enough my son prefers because he likes the taste.

I did do the totally not super scientific milk test with a number of probiotics to get the boys interested in what they do and you can see in the pictures the Ultra-30 solidified the milk it was crushed and mixed into. The green bowl is the control milk bowl.

These are the reasons I have chosen the two probiotics I've chosen for now. Children don't always have the same reactions from probiotics as adults do and there are less studies on children so it took a lot of time to make and break down this list. Unfortunately many of the studies followed specific strains and many companies selling probiotics don't tell us the specific strain they are using so even with this list I know I'm still shooting in the dark. However, since we've started these and made the other changes we've made, my son no longer lives in daily extreme pain, the migraines that showed up out of nowhere have disappeared again and he is better able to control his anxiety.

L. rhamnosus, L. casei, L. reuteri, B. coagulans, B. lactis, Streptococcus thermophilus, B. longum, B. breve, B. bifidum, L. plantarum - have all been shown to improve functional constipation, IBS symptoms, milk allergies, pain, immune function or migraines in children. Some are thought to decrease gut permeability. Ultra 30 has all of those along with a few extra beneficial strains.

First, let me say that I have no outside incentive to write this. Nobody has contacted me and I didn't receive a free bottle or anything like that.

I've struggled with digestive problems my whole life. At different times I've tried no less than 6 probiotic products not counting various yogurts. This last round of really bad constipation I went online to amazon and looked at all the products. There are so many - who can believe any of it. So, I tried 2 of them - two of the better looking ones more or less randomly. I consider it very fortunate that this just happened to be one of the 2. within a week I was doing much better and losing weight. After a few weeks I stopped with this one to try the other one. Not good - I quickly returned to this one and again felt better after a couple of days. I've been on this for about 6 weeks now and it has literally changed my life. I take 3 a day on a totally empty stomach.

Now, let me add this: My elderly mother who has also suffered from chronic digestive problems her whole life is now taking this stuff with very very good results. This really adds to my being convinced about this stuff.

I've now also tried several other products just to test them. This is the one, although I would like to use another product to add more strains of the little critters.

I should note that I strongly suspect that for me anyway, the number of strains is a critically important issue. This is a good one in that regard.

I am also concerned about how this product holds up. Is there degradation over time. How will it do when shipped in the heat of summer. I refrigerate it even though it says you don't have to do that. So, we'll see about all of that.

I'm not saying that it necessarily will work for everyone - maybe it just matches up with my conditions. But if I could give 6 stars, I would.

I like the size and how many active cultures are in each tablet. I haven't noticed a huge change in my stomach health, but maybe over time I will.

Product works but having to take 2 a day and keep refrigerated is a bit of a bother, but best part is it works.

Seems to work well -- hard to tell with supplements as there's no way to measure except general well being. I bought Nature's Bounty because it's a brand I recognize.

No difference from the brand I have been ordering for months! I am a believer in probiotics and this seems to be as effective as the much more expensive ones I have been using.

Definitely noticed an improvement after taking these probiotics. Most notably, it has improved acidity and reflux issues that I was having. Prior to taking the probiotics I found myself eating a lot of tums - this has markedly improved this condition. I wish the price point were a little lower and it seems a little high compared to other formulations I've seen at whole foods, etc. (which is why this isn't a perfect 5) however, but it clearly appears to be working well and for that I am thankful.

Cory B: I just started using this product last month. I read a lot of research about the effects probiotics can have on getting your stomach in order. ( some research shows it can help reduce acid reflux and help some people lose weight). My plan is to use this product for the next 6 months to see how it works for me. As of the first month I have felt better with my acid reflux. As far as weight, it will be hard to judge as I am a regular at the gym before taking this. I still have about 20 lbs I want to lose so I will update this over the next few months. I give this 4 now stars and will raise or lower this based on how my results are. One thing I can say I like is that the company seems to really care about its service and product.

I've been taking this probiotic consistently for a month. It helps to keep things "moving along." You have to drink a good amount of water if you're taking this on a regular basis. I take these in the morning before breakfast with a bottle of water. They have reduced the length and severity of my colds. (I get them normally as I have two younger kids.) Pretty happy with it. There has been no observed weightloss changes while taking this product.

This has a great mix of probiotics species. I'm already in good health and am just taking this preventively. I'd give it 5 stars if it *didn't* contain lactobacillus acidophilus. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the number of strains and CFUs.

As a physician concerned with nutrition I thought I'd supplement the yogurt I eat with this product after researching different brands. I'm not dispensing medical advice here, just my research--and only have one caveat: WHY take this EVERY DAY? Once the good guys are established in your colon--you do not need to take zillions of the little buggahs EVERY DAY. How about 1/week? Unless you are on antibiotics (take them at different times) or drink to excess, eat a lot of splenda-sucralose (sucralose is hidden in many things and is artificial sweetner shown to kill intestinal flora)--the colony should be just fine w/o adding more every day--BUT it does make the COMPANY money since you dish out EVERY MONTH for a new bottle.They say (the company by email)they are in a state of 'hibernation' that upon opening, must be refrigerated. Still researching this part...hmmm. So far I find it is dried and transported into the large intestine where it 'wakes up' to an active state? Hmm..Various sources say it takes ? doses to restore (they all conflict). Too much fiber can harm too, interfere with digestion etc. (Dannon Activia yogurt has no live flora but inulin--which causes bowel movements! so that's how it works...)****The best advice is to look at how your bowels work--if they work fine, you are OK.****If not, probiotics, fermented foods, good yogurt etc are all ways to help.Here's the healthy bacteria:L. acidophilus—This is the most important strain of the Lactobacillus species and, it readily colonizes on the walls of the small intestine. Didn't notice any difference, took them for a month as directed.

This may be a great product but I purchased it to help my IBS-D and was no help. But nothing else has helped either.

Wife ordered this - she had some of the symptoms it's supposed to clear up. She had a lot of intestinal cramping the first 3 days along with a lot of gas and loose stool. Helped curb her appetite, but didn't do much else.

It is hard to give a fair review of this product, because I broke out in hives 4 days after starting the product. I am waiting a month to try again. If the hives return, then I will know I am allergic to an ingredient in the product.
The only observation I had was that my bloating got worse in those 4 days, due to constipation. When I stopped using the product, the constipation went away within 48 hours.

Not seeing or feeling the advertised effects. Finished the bottle and will not reorder.

This particular probiotic didn't have any appreciative effect on my diarrhea problem but different products evidently have different effects for different people.

I have moved to different brand since this one doesn't seem effective. I really wouldn't suggest anyone this.

This caused some stomach distress for me. Without going into too much detail, I'll just say that my trips to the bathroom were...frequent and uncomfortable. I also didn't like having to keep them in the refrigerator. I've switched to Nutrition Essentials Probiotic, which is a true 60-count, 60-day supply. So far so good!

My doctor recommended this to help with my IBS. I am sensitive to some probiotics and these made me sick within an hour of taking it each time. I gave it a week of taking it daily to see if I got used to it, but the bloating pains were so bad, my doc took me off of it.

I have been using this product for months with good results and have had a subscription to it. This month with no notification, the product went from caplet form to capsule form which I absolutely hate. I am stuck with this bottle but have canceled my subscription.

Recently had antibiotics twice within four months and suffering with digestive issues. Doctor suggested probiotics supplement. After using Ultra-30 product for two days, i started feeling throat burning with low stomach acid. I bought it with high hopes and it made worse for me!!

I purchased this product on the recommendation of my girlfriend and decided to give it a try. It might work well for others but did not perform as I expected, since it made me gassy. I was looking for something that would provide a better bowel movement and I really did not notice that it made any difference in that area. It might work well for others but was not as affective as I had anticipated.

I tried this several times over past few months and each times I would start taking it it would make me bloated, gassy and sometimes would even cause diarrhea. This appears to be the experience of some other reviewers as well.I don't know if it is a bad batch or individual intolerance, but I had to throw this product away.

I really hoped this would actually infuse probiotics into my intestines. You would think something sold at Costco and Amazon would actually be a product you could trust to do its job. But being the skeptic I am, and reasoning through how probiotics work, I decided to do the milk test. If you put a few of these into milk, and wait some 48 hours, the milk should take on a yogurt texture. The only thing that happened to the milk is that it got sour. So Nature's Bounty Ultra Probiotic 10 failed the milk test, indicating the probiotic in the capsules (if such exist) are dead, and no longer effective. If you are looking for a probiotic that actually works, try the dairy section of your favorite grocer and purchase yogurt, or milk that has lactobacillus in it.

This product caused bloating and weight gain.

I can only speak as a fructmal sufferer. If you suffer from fructmal, do not purchase this product if FOS's bother you. This product contains inulin, an ingredient that fructmal sufferers that FOS's bother. If you are bothered by things like onions and garlic, inulin is not good for you. You will pay the price.

Contains Lactose. Up to 30% of people with IBS have some level of lactose intolerance. Therefore anyone with IBS, or unknown digestion issues, should ABSOLUTELY AVOID this product.

Not worth the money. After two bottles to combat the effects of antibiotics. No change. One bottle of kefir fixed me right up. Will not purchase again.

No glass jar and tablets which defeats the purpose of live culture of bacteria. Useless from the very start.

I am overall very disappointed with this product. I have been using it for months now. I see no results at all. No relief for upset stomach problems, no weight change, no hunger reduction. None of the great things it is touted to do for you!!! NONE!!

Three drops of pure peppermint oil in a glass of water does much to smooth my stomach!!! Much cheaper!!
