Nothing fancy but gets the job done.
September 18, 2017
It's still holding up after nearly 3 years! None of the letters have faded and I have extremely oily skin from all the moisturizing and face touching (bad habit, I know). It does have the clickity clackity typing sound but I've never minded it. Good for typing the occasional internet item review and casual gaming. But I imagined you would probably want something higher quality and more responsive to your touch if you have a job that requires extensive use of keyboard. Also, if you're a fast typer it will take you some time to adapt to the slight delay in response time v finger speed because you gotta make sure you press down all the way before moving onto the next character.Keyboard is slightly raised, perhaps by a 1/4 inch, pretty insignificant so it pretty much feels like it's laying flat. This height is not adjustable.
Great, simple keyboard and mouse. Just works.
August 25, 2017
Basic, simple, clean, great product. I didn't need anything fancy, I just needed something that works. This works. The keys are a LITTLE loud compared to the usual "soft touch" keys expected on most low-profile keyboards these days, but personally I like the sounds. I also am a huge fan of the dedicated volume buttons on the top of the keyboard (though I do wish they were on the bottom to be more easily reached).
... keyboard and mouse and out of the box the stupid thing didnt work because of a hardware problem
July 3, 2017
I purchased a brand new asus all in one conputer with wireless keyboard and mouse and out of the box the stupid thing didnt work because of a hardware problem. I moved to a small town and it was such a hassle to return the whole computer for the keyboard and mouse so i found the cheapest one on amazon to test on my computer to narrow down the problem.well, i kept my computer, threw the wireless crap away and kept this awesome $12 wired mouse and keyboard conbo. Works great!
Reasonable cheap keyboard. Good mouse.
April 29, 2016
These combos are about the cheapest way to get a keyboard and mouse and they are reasonably good quality. The mouse has a nice rubberized finish and is precise. Good mouse. The keyboard is one of the "chiclet" kind that are so in vogue that have a flat surface and little keys poking up out of it (rather than the type that has keys that cover the whole space and touch each other). I blame Apple for this design becoming so common. I preferred the old kind, but they both work. I buy this keyboard for my kids. When I buy a keyboard for myself I get much higher-end stuff. To get a similar package a normal keyboard instead of chiclet, get the Logitech MK120 for $2 more.
Great standard reliable wired keyboard and mouse.
March 11, 2016
Our (much more expensive) wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse with ergonomic keys, etc, just died. Man, you cannot really use a computer without a functioning keyboard and mouse!! I just replaced them with these wired versions and am very happy. They arrived well packaged, and plugged in and worked right away. The mouse is very reliable. My son says "You should buy this product if you are looking for a standard keyboard and mouse." (His sister's keyboard has some lit keys and is apparently "not standard.")
Standard hardware built to last, but remember to clean them often!
December 26, 2015
It's been two years since I bought this bundle. Surprisingly they've both lasted and I have never once had any sort of problem with them.As you'd expect from the AmazonBasics line they're pretty standard in appearance and functionality. If all you need is something cheap that'll last then this is for you.The mouse offers a no frills experience with just the left and right buttons and scroll wheel with middle click. The coating on the mouse is smooth and enjoyable to touch but will get dirty over time, so make sure to clean it often. The keyboard is like the mouse, pretty standard. It is a flat style with short keys, glossy plastic, and 1 and a half feet wide. It offers some small extra functions that I've enjoyed, too. At the top right of the keyboard are four small keys I've used constantly, almost everyday. A mute button, vol. down, vol. up, and a calculator button. Those volume buttons change the in system volume and have saved me from some embarrassing moments. The calculator button is something that I never thought I'd be using as much as I actually do. It's just a simple shortcut that opens the calculator program found in many operating systems but it's been really useful. There are other media keys but I've rarely made use of them. Also, like the mouse you'll want to clean this keyboard often as it attracts a lot of dust and dirt with it's glossy plastic body. Both devices use a standard wired USB to connect and have never failed to connect. While I may no longer be personally using the mouse at this point, my little brother uses it now, I'm still rocking the keyboard and am very happy with this purchase.

I like to monitor, but only one output port
August 5, 2017
I like to monitor, but the power supply is not functioning. I am using a substitute. I don't want to ding it just for minor thing.I am trying to reach supplier to just send me the power supply, I hope they don't ask me to return the whole thing, it will affect my work. One problem is that it has only 15-pin port. It is uncomfortable, when you want to connect to another machine you need an adopter.I wish I could return it back.
Recommend it.
March 8, 2017
The best and cheaper monitor you can ever get and worth the money. Never regret getting this product because it is very durable and convenient. When I put it on my desk, it was the perfect size and I love it so much. So far, I don't have any problems. The assembly was super fast and easy also the shipping too. It arrived in two days.
Excellent HP 21.5" LED HDMI VGA monitor.
September 19, 2016
We bought this second monitor for our use with the Surface Pro 4. So far it has been working flawlessly. The picture quality, color richness, and ease of use are great. We recommend it strongly.
Definitely one of the best
February 17, 2016
One thing I have to point out, if the monitor comes broken it has nothing to do with the company. Some reviewers gave it 1-3 stars because they received it broken. Dont be fooled because that doesn't happen very often and can be shipped back for free if it does. The Monitor itself is really great. One of the pictures were very misleading because it looks like the monitor is tilted up a little, but its not so no worries. No problems at all, very good quality, and no shipping damage. Looks really great for a monitor too so if your looking for a cheap good quality and good looking monitor, you've found what your looking for.
Stunning Display Not To Be A 4K

So far I love it. Screen is just right for my limited space. A 1080p monitor with hdmi and IPS is a steal at $100, its that simple people. See my pics.
Amazing Product For Your Wallet

Wow! This product is amazing it makes my ACER monitor look like crap. The color on the you tube video played on both monitors (left) ACER (right) HP. It is another great product made by HP. Will buy again.

Simple and works fine.
June 16, 2017
Simple and works fine. This USB 3.0 hub comes with an external power supply, so it will power devices that might otherwise steal too much power from your computer's USB port. (The complication is that, if you use it in conjunction with external hard drives, the external power will keep them turned on all the time, even when the computer is turned off. I found that it works fine without the external power, at least for my purposes, so I disconnected the power supply.) USB 3.0 can generate high frequency interference that can do funny things to USB 2.0 devices, so if, for example, your wireless mouse starts acting funny, try moving the receiver to a different USB port.
Works, but not in a 2017 Honda Civic
December 23, 2016
This works as designed, however it does not do what I wanted it to do, so I had to return it. We just bought a 2017 Honda Civic with one USB port and a smartphone interface. I have an Android phone and my wife has an iPhone. Now you see the problem - ONE USB port and TWO different connectors required. Since my wife and I both drive this car, I didn't like the idea of having to switch out cables every time I drove especially because the car's USB port is difficult to access. I thought that this hub would solve the problem - just plug the hub into the car's port and connect a micro-USB cable to the hub and a lightning USB cable to the hub simultaneously. Turns out that putting a hub between the phone and the car disables the link between the phone and the car. I suppose if you think about it, this might make sense. In theory, my configuration would allow two phones to interface with the car simultaneously, which the car can't handle, so it won't permit communication through a hub. I'll have to use a splitter or work with something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CVIZMLU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1When I went to return this item, Amazon refunded my money and told me not to bother to return it. I'm good with that.

September 21, 2016
A surprisingly nice little powered USB Hub which has served me well over the past year in powering all my flight simulator and racing simulator peripherals. As I'm trying to move away from hubs and get everything back on my actual PC USB ports, this little guy is going to continue to serve as my extension for my cell phone charger and controller chargers.I would encourage everyone to take a good hard look at Amazon branded items before they purchase a brand name.
great for rasberry pi
May 31, 2016
Nice product, it comes with 2 cables, it can be connected to a PC for power, but comes with it's own power supply as well. it's very nice because it has 6 regular rectangular usb ports in the front, and the big square usb port that the cable provided to hook into your pc i guess in the front bottom. And the power cable plugs into the back part, as well as 2 more normal rectangular usb ports. But anyways, i got this for projects with my Rasberry Pi 3B+ as others stated it works and it does great. When it's on a little red light comes on inside near the top. For the price, it's a very nice power supply for not just the Pi but anything usb 2.0 compliant. So those looking for speed, this isn't a 3.0 hub.
It gets five because it works
October 6, 2015
Its getting five stars because it works well.However.... I did cannibalize it, for the addition of an alternate input power source (a USB charger battery pack).Once inside... yikes! The board had monumental rework done to it! Writing and rework stickers all over it. Maybe call it quality control, but I was amazed at the amount of rework spots...which totaled twenty one places (by the sticker count).Sturdy construction otherwise. Was simple to hot-wire the charger plug to allow me to plug it into a USB Lithium Ion battery.
Works great, no issues
February 24, 2015
Works great, no issues! As others have mentioned, the AC power plug is pretty big (a little bigger than a matchbox car, plus the cord). Since I use this hub primarily for travel, I purchased a USB to "barrel" power plug cord. This allows me to use a USB wall charger (like the one that comes with a cell phone) that I already have with me to power this USB hub. For those who are interested, the "barrel" of the plug (the end that is inserted into the side of this USB hub) has an outer diameter of 4.75mm and an inner diameter of 1.7mm - with the center being positive.

Good wired combo.
September 16, 2017
The Keyboard and mouse combo work well. If you do not have problems with wires and have the USB ports available they save you on batteries. The keyboard especially is good for gnoshers, who have crumbly snacks while surfing. The spacing around the keys and the base is not very large so large crumbs will not sink below eye level and can easily be shaken off or blown off with canned air or a Swiffer.
Decent Keyboard and Mouse, Correct at Price Point
July 20, 2017
This keyboard and mouse combo is essentially exactly what I expected at the price point. It's not the best keyboard ever made, but it wasn't purchased due to the quality of construction. This is a great keyboard for someone looking for something cheap. The layout is pretty solid for someone that touch types and overall it isn't bad. The mouse is a bit uncomfortable, but I have used a lot worse at the same or even higher price points.Overall, if you're looking for something long term this is most likely not the product for you. If you're looking for something temporary or for a backup, this works just fine.
Good Value Keyboard and Mouse
June 13, 2017
The quality of construction is appropriate to the price. I'm not a huge fan of the chiclet style keys, but they are comfortable and I never mistype. The mouse is very light and takes a little getting used to. Otherwise, the mouse is grippy and accurate. It shipped with the barest shipping materials. I'm glad there was a plastic bag around everything because the thin cardboard was coming apart.
Great Keyboard and Mouse by AmazonBasics
April 24, 2017
Great keyboard and mouse combination for a pretty great price, and my first exposure to AmazonBasics products. They both function as you would expect, there was no delay in device installation on my Dell tablet docking station at work. The only complaint I have, and is completely a personal preference (it does not affect the quality of the keyboard or mouse), is that there are no adjusting legs to elevate the keyboard for a more ergonomic feel. This is a great keyboard and mouse combination!
Almost Perfect
April 12, 2017
This bundle represents a genuinely exceptional value. You could pay a lot more money for a keyboard and mouse that are no better than this one. So, why did I rate is just four stars instead of five? Because one small tweak would have made it perfect: Amazon needs to put a USB port on the keyboard for the mouse. As it is, you'll need to use two USB ports on your computer to get these both hooked up. If that's a problem for you, be forewarned. If it's not, though, don't hesitate to take advantage of this insanely priced combo.
Great for the Price
February 7, 2017
I purchased this set because it was cheap and I needed a keyboard and mouse for my Raspberry Pi workbench. I've only had them a few days but they work flawlessly. They're cheap and affordable. I may end up purchasing a couple more sets just to keep as spares or have for when I work on systems for others. The mouse is responsive even without a mouse pad. I have it on a wood desk that I built from scratch. I don't have any issues with my cursor jumping around. The keyboard is great! Very responsive, feels good to type on, and will work perfect for coding my Raspberry Pi projects.

HP Pavilion 22cwa 21.5 inch monitor
September 11, 2017
My older HP SlimLine desktop has just the VGA output, and I neglected to get the VGA to HDMI adapter. I should receive the VGA to HDMI adapter in a couple days, and I will then give an updated review once I have the adapter installed. Otherwise, viewing the VGA output is not bad if all you have is VGA capability. I also recommend to lower the blue light display to save your eye strain....Update: received the VGA to HDMI adapter and installed. Very easy BTW, and the display is why I upgraded to HD instead of the ol' VGA. Very nice monitor for the price....
Good buy
July 6, 2017
It's holding up well, but goes to sleep too quickly, and is slow to wake up. I don't know if there's a setting somewhere I can change that, but it can be a bit annoying. Otherwise, I loved the price and it's doing it's job. That's all I can ask.
Looks good, works well...
January 26, 2017
So, it hooks up fine and looks good... resolution is very good for my needs (back up graphics computer)... with only a couple reservations (with the price consideration intact). The VGA hookup is antiquated in my opinion... my video card doesn't even have a VGA output, but fortunately I had an adapter in my 'old' computer apparatus box. It worked. Monitor seems to be clean, bright and worth the low price. BTW... I had mistakenly put the stand base wrong side up - as it seemed several other reviewers might have also... snap button goes on the bottom side... at first it would not snap together securely. Upon closer inspection, I noticed my error and it now works correctly.
perfect display? No
December 1, 2016
Is this a stunning, perfect display? No, not really. But it is perfect as a low-cost secondary display for a laptop. I work from home frequently, and my little laptop screen wasn't cutting it to connect to the bigger dual-monitor display setup I have on my desk at work. I needed something that was fairly inexpensive, but would be easy on the eyes when I'm coding for work. I bought it along with a VESA adapter and a mounting arm, because I like to put my secondary displays in portrait mode, and the stand it comes with doesn't do that. Color and resolution seem pretty good. The back light is nice. There's a tiny bit of light bleed around the edge of mine, but I use it in a fully lit room during daytime hours, so it's not bothersome. I do wish that the place you put the VESA adapter or stand was more centered, because the monitor is a little wobbly, even on the arm I have it mounted on. Otherwise, it's a solid monitor considering I only paid $100 for it. If you're looking for some fancy display for watching high definition movies and playing games, maybe this isn't it. But if you need a second or third monitor for internet browsing / writing code / basic stuff, this is a good choice.
but it works fine now and is a clear presentation
April 3, 2016
When I first set-up the monitor, the HDMI would not work nor be recognized by the monitor as an actual signaled input. I tried everything, so I called HP and had a long discussion with the tech, tried changing out HDMI cables (none came with the monitor, by the way). I reached a point where I decided the problem was with my 4 year old Gateway and had decided I would have to use the VGA for this monitor and just live with it.About 3 hours later after taking off the HDMI connection, I tried to try again for the hell of it. I hooked up the HDMI and guess what? It worked! Don't ask why it worked and don't ask an HDMI cable did not come with the monitor (only VGA), but it works fine now and is a clear presentation. Unreal - Ihave never seen a delayed reaction for an electronic device like this.
Excellent monitor
December 30, 2015
Quite pleased with this monitor. It arrived quickly and was quite easy to set up and get started with. Brilliant and bright screen and gives plenty of space to spread out with a number of open windows. The only criticism I'd make is that it doesn't permit enough tilt to the front. With only a 2% option I found it still hard to enjoy the looks. I added about a quarter inch "buffer" under the back of the stand and that made it exactly right. Just think it would be better if HP had allowed more front tilt.

This unit was a little lighter than I expected. ...
October 9, 2017
This unit was a little lighter than I expected. When assembled as a horizontal unit, the weight of the power cord will move the unit around. The high speed USB ports are very helpful. I have a printer plugged into one of these and other smaller USB devices plugged into the other ports. That frees up all the ports on my laptop for other occasional use.The Hub to PC cord could have been longer to allow placing the item behind a monitor or on another surface. But it is workable if you store on top of a desktop.
Overall Decent Product. Fair price, grounded charger, small size.
July 16, 2017
- Current Thoughts -- Seems decent so far. I've had it for about two weeks now, no real issues. Pretty happy with the price given that it has 7 USB 3.0 ports.- General Opinion -- As far as the product itself, it's lightweight, pretty small, and the cables aren't too flimsy. I like that the charging block (for use when not plugged into computer) has three prongs instead of two; it's a big reason why I bought it.- Design Notes -- I wish the Fast Charging ports and the Power Inputs were swapped (currently Power is on L side if you're looking from the front, R if you're looking from the side with all of the normal USB ports; Fast Charging ports are R from front, L from ports-side). The current set up forces me to either flip the device over so that the ports face away from my computer (which means I don't have grips making it stay in place) or have it perpendicular to my laptop (which means I need more space for my set-up).- Usage -- I use it for my keyboard, my mouse, my Softphone headset, and charging (Bose Soundsport, iPhone, iPad, PS4 controller).- Usage Issues -- The only issue I've encountered is that it won't charge my iPad when plugged into the computer, which I find weird.
Good, but...
July 2, 2017
Works well; however is a bit light weight and tips over easily. No matter, it d o Espinoza the job I wanted. One note, it states the two front ports are supposed to be for high speed charging; but, ever time I plug in my Alcatel Windows 10 phone or either of my Fire HD tablets, I'm given an on screen message that my product will charge at a slower speed and advises I use another port with proper specs.
Works great but the design leaves a bit to be desired.
March 29, 2017
Works like a charm. Deducted one star because of the design. Specifically, the power USB cable, which is quite hefty, and the power adapter port are located on the left side. The relatively clean design is disrupted by these large cables extending off to the side, which requires an additional 3 inches or so of space required for the hub on the desk. Certainly doesn't affect functionality, but had these been put on the back and two USB ports put on the side, the whole thing would be more streamlined.
Works Well
September 27, 2016
Great throughput, no compatibility issues or malfunctions to be reported. Physical design is attractive and pretty functional. Space between ports is sufficient to accommodate wider USB plugs. Plenty of current for power thirsty peripherals which is a big plus.I do find the connection to the power supply to be pretty lame as the connector doesn't plug in completely so it sticks out. I guess either the plug is too long, or the inside of the jack is too short. Either way it works but gives the impression that form was given priority over function.Detachable stand is nice to allow for a variety of configurations. I find that I prefer it off, as it can sit or stand, and is more portable without it.There are surprisingly few USB hubs I've found that I'm happy with. These, and the D-Link models which generally cost more. There's a lot of junk hubs available these days, and overall I'm glad I gave this one a try.
Great hub and tons of ports but layout needs a little work
August 20, 2016
I've had this for a couple months and so far it seems to be very reliable and solidly built. I did end up buying an a new USB 3.0 cable to uplink it to my computer simply because the one it came with was not long enough for my application. My only criticism (the reason I couldn't quite go 5 stars) is the layout. First is that I would have preferred a device with a couple ports on top for easy plugging and unplugging of USB flash drives. I bought this to replace a Monoprice USB hub what had two ports on top and I really miss it. Don't get me wrong, the Monoprice hub was a piece of junk but that was it's one redeeming quality. This Amazon hub has ports on the front I presume for easy plugging of flash media and cell phone charging, but the top ports are just easier for something that gets plugged and unplugged constantly like flash drives. The other thing I would change about the layout is the arrangement of ports along the back and sides. I know that the designer was trying to optimize space usage around all sides of the device, but I'm really not a fan of cables running in all directions, back, front and both sides. It makes placement on the desk difficult if you intend to use the majority of the ports. I would have preferred something longer with more ports on the back. In fact, I would have preferred all ports, including power and PC uplink on the back except for the aforementioned ports on top for flash drives.Looking at the way USB ports are double stacked on the back IO plate of most computers, it would have been fairly trivial to put double stacked ports on the back of this hub with little or no change to the dimensions. This would have given room on the back for 8 ports, power and uplink. Two more ports on top for flash media and you would have your 10 ports and this would be a nearly perfect device.

Meh.
July 25, 2017
It does its job, but I don't think I would purchase this again. I wasn't expecting a premium keyboard from the start, but here's some problems I had with it. The typing on the keys is pretty loud, the build quality itself is to be expected (when it's around $15), and the cord is short. I don't know if it was worth skimping out the extra five or so dollars just to get the bundle over buying a ten dollar keyboard / mouse separately, but it's easily a decent replacement or temporary keyboard if you're planning on buying a better keyboard.
I'd give it 3.5 stars but no 1/2 star option.
July 6, 2017
Just got the keyboardI like the individual letter buttons, but there are some drawbacks.Chord is shorter by a foot than other keyboards. If you like they keyboard raised, you need to add something underneath as the built in raise is barely noticeable. The 4 media keys (back-stop-pause/play-forward) share keys with F9-12 & you need to hit Fn at same time (which is annoying)The other volume media keys are fine & above number area.Length & width are great & it works fine, but keys are a bit noisy (if that matters)I'd give it 3.5 stars but no 1/2 star option.I cannot comment on mouse since it was not in box when delivered.
It's a nice BASIC combo but CORDS too short!!!!
July 5, 2017
Wish I have read about the short mouse cord before purchasing. The bundle is a good value for its quality assuming you can use both corded mouse and keyboard. If you have too switch to another mouse (wireless or not) because of the short length or adding a USB extension cord, the additional cost would negate the value of this combo. In my case I was fortunate to rearrange slightly and make the short mouse cord work, but barely and I prefer to have more slack on the cord. The keyboard has nice feel and the cord again could be longer too.
Functional at a low cost
January 19, 2016
Very basic construction. The top of the keyboard is molded into a lip at the back that acts as a stand, so there is no way to lay it flat if that's what you like for use or storage. It's not quite as high as using the little legs on other keyboards wither. I prefer a propped up keyboard, so it's not quite right for me. The key action is a bit softer than I like, with a touch a bit softer than the standard Dell or Logitech keyboards have. Overall it's cheap but functional. The mouse is a little smaller than you may be used to but feels and works fine. It has a flat finish. The red LED that is part of the optical sensor is very bright. The two are OK for the price.
Decent product for the price. Not very ergonomic. Can improve.
November 14, 2015
Summary: Good product for the price, mine stopped working appropriately within warranty period and got replaced. Buy if you are looking for a decent keyboard at a good price (and if ergonomy isn't a big issue for you).Description: this is a good investment, especially if you are looking for something cheap but with a decent quality.Mouse: it is a conventional laser mause. Works quite well. The cable connects to the USB port. So far I have no complains at all with it.Keyboard: feels good, it feels like typing in a laptop keyboard. It is very compact but for me at least that is not an issue. In terms of ergonomy it can improve. First the keyboard has a specific height. Unlike must other keyboards out there it doesn't have a feature to lift itself up and adjust a little bit to make you comfortable. Also it would be useful if it offered some kind of support for the hand as we type ( not an issue if you type for a little time, but if you type a lot, a support will be of great use).Experience: worked well for the first months, but the volume key got stuck and it caused a massive pain. Fortunately, this happened during warranty period and Amazon sent me a new one right away.Warranty: being an amazon product, handling my issues with the missworking keyboard was easy. A five minutes chat solved my issues and azon sent me a new keyboard at no cost. Warranty is a 10/10
Basic input devices is basic

The keyboard works as, well, a keyboard and cant beat the price. The cord length is perfect for a laptop or desktop on top of your desk. However it is too short for one under the desk, 4'5" (1.3462 m). I have a full size tower and this keyboard doesn't reach the end of a standard desk. For reference, my previous HP Keyboard/mouse had a cable lengths of 6'7" (2.0066 m). same goes for the mouse. the only exception beyond the aforementioned is that every now and then it doesn't register clicks the first time.1 more thing that may not affect most of you is that on older motherboards the keyboard doesn't register in BIOS unless you are out of legacy usb (or is already legacy) config which makes things difficult when trying to change boot order or even get into BIOS. I've gathered a few older machines when upgrading some friends to modern OSs and several Linux variants (only tried Centos, Ubuntu, and Debian so far) recognize them during install and operation. To be fair in the product info it does not state "plug and play" but all keyboards should have basic functionality. Or maybe I'm a hardware snob :)

The graphics requirements for the KANO is pretty basic, so it works for that
September 27, 2017
I got this to use it with my son's KANO Kit. The graphics requirements for the KANO is pretty basic, so it works for that, but anything more would be pushing it. This is not for use for games, or watching TV or anything like that
Scratches Easily, but Easy Set Up, Good Image Quality
May 16, 2017
Scratches very easily :( Was wiping it with a soft and appropriate cloth brand new out of the package and it somehow got scratched already. Good borderless view, very clear pixels, easy set up.
Nice Monitor with a little light bleed
March 8, 2017
Received yesterday and installed. Looks great from the beginning but then played a video and the bottom left side at the very lip of the edge of the monitor appears to have a light bleed. Good news is it is not necessarily in my field of vision and you don't notice it when doing normal internet stuff. Just when watching something that is darker. I will have to use it for a few days before I can decide whether it will be super annoying or not. I may eventually get used to it and not even notice. Other than this though the monitor itself is very nice and provides a very good picture.
Nice monitor, but got a stuck pixel in less than a month.
January 19, 2017
The screen has worked great so far! However I've had it less than a month now, and already have what appears to be a stuck pixel. I have one solid Red pixel on the lower left corner of my screen. It hasn't been hit or bumped at all. It has just been on my desk. Guess I'll see if amazon or HP will let me return it for a replacement.
OK for the price but suffers on backlighting in bright conditions
January 14, 2017
The resolution on this monitor is pretty good for the price and it has lots of adjustment options. Color is also good but nothing to get excited about. Unfortunately, I think it a little dim and wish it had more back lighting. I have a large window next to my computer in my office and I don't have much control on the light coming through it. When the sun is bright, I have a hard time reading with this monitor. It easily catches glare from other light sources and bright fluorescent lighting. The price was very good but doesn't outweigh the back lighting issue. I'm tempted to replace it after a month.
The cosmetics are excellent. A great look for the price
August 3, 2016
The cosmetics are excellent. A great look for the price. However the colors seem washed out. On this monitor 'pure black' (0, 0, 0) is illuminated far too much compared to your average monitor. This illumination gives it a borderline grey-like appearance. Spent a couple hours fiddling with all possible color settings, contrast, brightness, Technicolor (HP), disabling "black-stretch", etc. to no avail.Acceptable but not recommended.

Fine as a USB 3 hub, not useful as a charger.
September 11, 2017
If you want a 7 port powered USB hub, this will do you. If you want to charge devices, I haven't found ANYTHING that the two "fast charge" ports can do anything beyond a "slow charge" (standard 500mA charge rate). I've tried both Apple and Android products, no luck. Also, having the USB B (upstream) and power on the SIDE, and 5 of the 7 USB A (downstream) on the BACK, and the other 2 on the other side makes a very bulky footprint with cables coming out of everywhere.
Except for one bad port, almost great.
February 24, 2017
Good news;. This was my first 3.0 hub and comparied woith the older ones I had it is blaziongly fast.Soon after I purchased this I started having trouble with a disk drive -- which kept sending messages that it had autonomously dismounted itself. This happened almost once per day. It always remounted, but I contacted the manufavcturer. They had me send it in, said id had a problem, and sent me a new one. The new one had the same issue, and the manufacturer had me send that one in and said it had been repaired. The problem continued. Then I got the same message from a second drive (same manufacturer). Before yelling and screaming at the manufacturer it occurred to me to move the first drive to a different port on this hub. The problem has not reappeared. I assume therefore that the port was bad. I didn't figure this out until many months after the purchase, so I didn't feel right about trying to return it, and I'm still using the other ports, but I think I'd probably not buy another.
Great price, short on performance
December 16, 2014
This is a delightful addition to my late 2013 iMac that came with 3 USB 3.0 ports. It is an attractive device and is easy to set-up and use. Even though it is a powered device, it did fall short of my expectations because I missed the Amazon disclaimer that it will not charge my iPad tablet. One reviewer here said it will work the same as the port on the computer - it does not. Furthermore, it will not work with my Apple external CD/DVD drive. So, with three ports on my computer, one is used for this device, another for my iPad and the third for my CD/DVD drive. Thank goodness for Wi-Fi for my mobile devices and their external powering capabilities.
Good Hub and a Great Price
September 28, 2014
Amazon has a winner with this one. USB 3.0 hub at a much lower cost than the closest competitor. Unobtrusive size, and it works. I don't have a way of testing transfer rates, but I performed a comparison test between this one and a USB 2.0 hub. I noticed that a 10 GB file took longer to transfer than the USB 3.0 hub.Edit 9/29/14 - Knocked the rating down to 3 starts because the 9 inch USB cable is great for use with a laptop because the hub sits on the desk or table, but is next to useless with a tower because most USB ports are positioned more than nine inches from a surface on which the hub can sit. It needs at least a 24 inch cable.
[UPDATED 10-16-2015] Great 10 Port USB3 Hub
September 19, 2014
I purchased the 10 Port USB 3 hub. I'm very happy with it. Since it's powered I have no issues connecting my bus powered drives like I did with another 4 port non-powered hub. The only issue I see is the placement of the USB B connection. It is located on the left side of the hub. The provided cable is stiff and sticks out pretty far. I'd suggest the OEM put the B connector on the back for a cleaner installation or maybe provide a cable with a 90 degree B connector.I recommend this hub to anyone needing to connect multiple USB devices to their computer.UPDATE:After 14 months of use, ports have started to die. For the price, I'm a little disappointed and will be changing from 4 stars to 3.
Updated review - not so good.
July 9, 2014
UPDATE - 4/10/15 - Two of the ports on the hub stopped working. I'm downgrading to 3 stars because of this.I am using the 4 port USB 3.0 powered hub as a kind of docking station for my Macbook Pro. Even though I have an older USB 2.0 machine, the hub works great.I am using it for a Logitech USB headset; a Logitech wireless mouse dongle, a Seagate external USB 3.0 hard drive, and a flash drive.Everything works great, and Time Machine on the Mac is able to back up to the external hard drive without any problems.UPDATE - 4/10/15 - Two of the ports on the hub stopped working. I'm downgrading to 3 stars because of this.

not for me
May 2, 2017
The keyboard, while a full size keyboard, has an awkward arrangement. It is similar to a laptop keyboard in its compact layout. I have a hard time typing on this keyboard after using a standard one. It is functional, and i have had no issues, but i cant get over the layout.
Bleh.
April 7, 2017
Not really good for people learning to type; they keys aren't like a 'normal' keyboard.Very lightweight, almost flimsy. Not adjustable as far as angle. The mouse is fine.
A good product, only if you rate it with price considered.
August 13, 2016
I type a lot at work; bought this in the hopes of improving typing experience, but in the end it simply doesn't cut it.Key stroke and feed back is decent for a membrane keyboard; this is definitely an upgrade from the cheapo Logitech $20 dollar keyboard despite costing less. Typical of Amazon Basic products, it's good quality for very cheap prices.Unfortunately, that's the end of the good things I can say about it. After all it is a membrane keyboard, so keystroke feels mushy and vague; the best way I can describe it is that it feels like you are typing on rotten fruit. The keyboard itself is rather flimsy with lots of flex, so it doesn't provide a solid feel at the end of your finger tips. But everything above pales in comparison to the largest fault of this product, that is the small key caps.As you can see in the picture, there is a lot of gap in between keys, which means the key caps are much smaller than usual; and that means when you speed up the typing, letters that normally would register is now a miss or typo due to the smaller real estate you are usually used to.At the end of the day, I cannot think of an application for this keyboard. I'll probably end up having to bring a mechanical keyboard to work from home.
Okay keyboard, but the mouse is either a bad design or I got a dud
March 15, 2015
I was looking for a keyboard and mouse to use with my work laptop when I bring it home. For IT security reasons, I could not use wireless peripherals with the machine; instead, I had to purchase a wired keyboard and mouse. I am sad to say that I was disappointed with the end result, though it's quite possible that I just had bad luck, considering that most of the reviews here are so positive.I will start with the keyboard. I came into this purchase knowing that I don't particularly care for chiclet-style keyboards, but the price, and the fact that I got a mouse almost for free, persuaded me to buy this package. If you don't like chiclet keyboards, this keyboard will likely not change your mind about them; however, it is usable, and does not feel overly cheap. If you typically like chiclet keyboards, you will probably be very happy with that aspect of the package. That brings me to the mouse . . . unfortunately, I have not been happy with the mouse. The finish on the mouse was surprisingly nice, so my initial impression was quite favorable. It felt soft, with a kind of satin finish. The tracking was also good, and I was impressed that a mouse at this price would track so well and so smoothly. I was also happy with the scroll wheel. Unfortunately, the mouse failed to meet my expectations in one important regard: the right mouse button sticks. I right click on a link so that I can open it in a new window and invariably the button sticks, meaning I have to pick it up and literally pry the button back up to a neutral position. This flaw makes the mouse unusable, at least for me, and I will probably end up throwing it out and picking up another at a local brick and mortar.
Thin and Insubstantial
March 5, 2015
Thin and Insubstantial default angle less than usual, and not adjustable (used to flip-uip feet, I guess) but so thin-- keys rise maybe 1/8" above keyboard deck and I', used to 3/8 for good tactile feedback and easy of finding them without looking. Function keys are all in a line and I prefer them grouped with space between F1-4, 5-8, and 9-12. The windows keys work well, though-- calculator, media player, etc. Tiny LEDs in the keycaps for caps lock, num lock scroll lock would take some getting used to. I sent this one back because it was actually warped a bit and wanted to rock on the desk surface. Don't want it for a spare, hope to find something better.

BEWARE
March 10, 2017
OSD Lockout issue which doesn't allow you to control buttons on bottom of the monitor and HP does not help what so ever! My advice is to not use your hard earned money to invest into HP as a company! Their customer service is crappy and I so wish I was warned before I purchased this product. This is my first HP purchase as I have dell. Product also has a warning label stating "WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer." Why would a monitor contain chemicals that cause cancer??? Agents do not seem to be located in the US either and have no knowledge what so ever on this product but the fact that its HP LOL like seriously. HP is a joke :(
Noticeable horizontal flickers for white
March 3, 2017
When displaying white, there are noticeable horizontal flickers moving slowly from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. I do find the flicker distracting and annoying. I can barely live with it. Have not been annoyed enough or have enough time to try to exchange for another monitor. Not sure if this is a rare defect or a common occurrence. Other than that, the display operates as intended.
Wanted to love it, can't.
February 28, 2017
I wanted to like it. I really did. The screen is great with no glare, black blacks, solid colours and a snappy reaction time.Setup is a breeze as well, you just snap in the stand to the base and the monitor to the stand. Quite sturdy compared to some others since it's inlaid with metal. The only issue I have, is that like another reviewer here, I have an issue with it randomly deciding to turn off the screen for a few seconds (flickering) and then come back on. It's disturbing when I'm watching a video or gaming on it because I can't do anything during that time.Reached out to HP, they sent another one (had to pay shipping since I'm not in the US), and they want the old one back. Here's the kicker, the new one has the same issue too now. No other monitor or TV I've tried has had this issue with my laptop. End all, I'm paying more to get the replacement that doesn't work and ship back the old one that doesn't work than I originally paid for the dang thing.Summary: Get another monitor, maybe something from Acer or ASUS or Samsung or LG....

January 17, 2017
I will echo what some have said here already. This is by no means a crisp monitor. The letters have shadowing. I purchased for my office as a second screen with my Varidesk and my laptop looks better, even though the screen resolution is lower. I have to decide now whether I want to send it back. Disappointing to say the least, but you also get what you pay for.

iMac users beware
June 4, 2017
We had issues with our 2013 iMac. A week or so after hooking it up the iMac began to shut itself off. The iMac on/off button wouldn't turn it back on. We'd have to unplug/plug the iMac to be able to turn it back on. I read online that some folks had this problem with USB hubs. I removed the hub and haven't had a problem since (about three weeks now). I moved it to my Windows Dell PC and so far it seems to be working (about a week).
Don't recommend this unit.
April 13, 2017
First one I had lasted 2 years. Began having connectivity issues. Some ports lost power, others would not show the device. Because I had reasonable good service from the first unit, I purchased a second one as the replacement. That was a mistake. The second one developed the exact same issues only after 3 months of operation. Finally went with a different manufacture at the same price point BTW. Didn't bother to reach out to Amazon on dissatisfaction. Probably would not have been worth the effort at this price point. Chalked up to one bad experience with what has been good results with Amazon on many purchases..
Did not work for me, loose connection ports and device disconnection problems
February 16, 2017
I'm not sure whether I received a defective unit or the product design is poor. I had trouble plugging devices into the hub and getting them to work reliably. I had to wiggle one of my USB drives around just to get a good connection in the hub, and the connections felt loose. Even with the power supply plugged in, I still had issues with devices dropping offline and I lost the signal to my wireless Logitech keyboard adapter constantly. I returned this unit and purchased an Anker hub that works wonderfully with none of the above problems (on the same computer USB 3.0 connection). I can't recommend this product, but as always Amazon came through with an immediate refund.
Not suitable for Large Hard Drives.
March 4, 2016
Any Hard Drive I connect to this hub makes a Clicking noise. The same hard drives, when put in an external docking station is quiet and solid. The size hard drives used ranged from 2T to 4T. Also, the File Transfer rate through the Amazon Hub is about a fourth of transfer speed through the docking station. On the plus side, the various sizes of Flash drives that I plugged into it worked just fine and the xfer was much higher than what the Hard Drive achieved (still not quite 3.0 speed but at least it was respectable). And yes, the hard drive had more than enough power (3.0A) from and used two different kinds of Sata to USB 3.0 adapters. Did the same clicking on both.. Swapped out to a different Hub and the drive did not click. This was suppose to replace that hub as it is old and now had developed a habit of dropping connection to the computer. SOOOO, looks like I still need a replacement for the one that is dropping connections.I will probably keep it for a backup in my laptop carrying case to ready flash drives but for HD usage, it's a bust.
Does it work, yes. Is it cheap junk, yes.
September 28, 2015
Why, oh why, does this get so many great reviews. I give it 2 stars, because it does work, but its design is just terrible. It is only 2.5 x 3.25 inches and is utterly unstable. If you actually plug more than one or two USB cables into it, it will likely tip over if any cables are moved in the slightest bit.Two of the ports are in the front for some odd reason as well, making a mess of cables in all directions which removes any ideas of improving cable management on your desk by using the hub.But those are not the worst design flaws. The worst part is that neither the USB cables or the Power cable plug into the device more than half way. When you plug in the power cable it only goes in half way leaving it totally unsecured to the device and wiggles freely in all directions with the slightest touch and even sags under its own weight, oh and it may pop out at any moment. Not to mention that half of the metal shaft of the power and usb plugs are completely unprotected.Yes, it does work. But man, it is the cheapest piece of junk I've ever seen.
I Don't Really Recommend
September 5, 2015
It will do...for now! I use it for my laptop, to hook up other external hard drives to my pc. It has a little lag, I am heavy into music and when I'm listening to music...It always pauses for about 2-3 seconds and then resumes. It's annoying!!! I read some other reviews on this and I ignored it...lol! they were right :)I'm not returning because it's just a temporary fix until I get my new desktop PC. Then, it's just going into the trash. I don't recommend!!!Pros: It works in allowing me to access my external hard drives and hook up a printer.Cons: lags in pauses/skips my music. I have to unplug every single night because it keeps my hard drives on permanently (no way to shut off unless unplug) It doesn't shut off when PC shuts down.

Great Mouse, Worst Keyboard Ever
April 14, 2016
Excellent mouse (I ended up buying the mouse on its own) and a HORRIBLE keyboard. The keys have a very bad feel to them, they are too small, the travel is too long, and the keyboard plastic frame is so weak that it sat unevenly on my desk until I twisted it strait (you can just sort of torque it back and forth and it stays in the shape you twist it). I love Amazon Basics products in general but this was a big miss. Even if you almost never use the keyboard, you can get better cheap keyboards form other manufacturers.

August 29, 2017
I ordered this in March of last year, I did not use it much until a few months ago. In fact, it was in a drawer for almost an entire year. A few weeks ago I started having random devices shut off on my USB that we're not even connected to the hub. I would move the hub to a new port for a few days and all will be fine until today when everything that was connected to the hub would not work. without connecting the AC adapter, the hub would recognize on the front ports on my computer, as soon as you connect AC power to it, it would shut the port down on the computer. I assumed it was a loose connection, but after fiddling with it for a few minutes it began to smell like burning plastic. So now it is in the trash.
Hub disconnects external drives when computer goes to sleep.
September 8, 2016
Purchased this product on August 4, 2016. The hub is used to connect 5 external drives to my iMac 27'. I bought this hub to replace a 3 port 2.0 powered hub. Since adding this hub I'm finding that my externals are being ejected improperly when the computer goes to sleep. What's more frustrating is that they don't mount when the computer is turned back on. This is making me nervous since improperly unplugging external drives may cause a loss of data from the drive. To get the drives to remount, I have to unplug the usb from the computer and the power plug to the hub. This is the only way I've found to remount the drives. This happens every morning! I'm a huge fan of Amazon but this product is terrible.
Useful only for connecting Printer or 'Pendrives'
November 12, 2015
Started to fail after four months: spotty connectivity to a Windows 7Home Enhanced computer. At the end, today, it took over an hour to get the computer to recognize an external HD plugged into this "hub". Tried it under Linux Mint 17.1; same problems. BTW, connecting the drives directly to the computer, no problem.Problem with my computer? NO, as other hubs that I own connected the external HDs to the computer—and showed up under Windows—fine. But this hub has great connectivity for USB 'pen' drives and a USB ported printer. So just a waste of money if one wants to connect external HDs.More Chinese 'engineering'. Wasted time and money.

October 11, 2015
This has been one of the least reliable pieces of tech I've used. Within days of starting to use it several strange inconsistencies began to occur with it, mostly that devices plugged into it would only sporadically be recognizable by my PC. More often than not this would fail, with no obvious pattern to the issues. But it wasn't just the data connectivity: items would simply not charge, as well, although the two power points on the end did consistently work.Worse, I've come to suspect that it was some sort of power issue with this device that blew out a USB microphone I'd otherwise used without problems, though I don't have anything conclusive to show that.Strongly recommend avoiding this.

July 24, 2015
DO NOT BUY THIS FOR ANY AUDIO APPLICATION.After testing in two different countries (USA and Brazil) in 5 different systems, it always caused interference noise on every speaker. If you plug a hard drive or a flash drive, you will hear beeps and crackles every time they loads, if you plug controllers, the noise will happen, every time there is an LED in action. This product is absolutely useless for any audio related (that is recording or playing live) application. I cannot even use it for hard drives because it introduces noise everywhere on my audio chain no matter what.Basically it will become a phone charger station so it does not go to the trash bin straight.

July 21, 2015
NOOOOOOPE.So, let me break this down for you:1. Getting this thing to allow both USB 2.0 devices and USB 3.0 devices at the same time was a nightmare, over an hour of troubleshooting.2. The drivers that Windows installs automatically are outdated. To get both 2.0 and 3.0 to work, I had to download drivers them from the site of the component manufacturer that hosts the updated ones on Dropbox. No. really.3. The power brick for this thing is insane. Not a regular AC adapter, a power brick.4. Even hooked up to the wall and USB 3.0, input devices on this thing dropped input. Even when nothing else was connected to it, I couldn't get my mouse to work reliably. The thing is cheap for a reason.
