Five Star Reviews: | 58% Literally one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've even bought another 2 for my family members. August 27, 2017 I can't count how many times this thing has saved mine and several other peoples butt's. When my car battery went bad and I had to wait a few days for a new one to arrive I used this at least 10-15 times to start my car and the power level didn't go below 90%. The amount of features this thing has is insane. I've used the air compressor for tires, air mattresses, and inflatable toys. Charged my laptops, phones, and tablets with no issues. I've even bought another 2 for my family members who absolutely love them. I can't recommend this product enough, HAVE AN OLDER VERSION OF THIS MODEL AND COMPLETELY ASSURED ... I've also saved a few friends with the jumper. This power pack is very straight to the point. It can power some small appliances and also a USB device! I haven't had a chance to use the compressed air pump, but I'm sure it can pump a bike tire or ball at the least! =] A travel by car nessecity April 23, 2016 A necessity for those who travel by car. Especially for anyone driving in cold weather. Dead batteries and flat tires can and do happen. But having the ability to get on your way faster by having this in your car or truck. A real lifesaver in cold weather this tool is a must. Has already come in handy and have only owned it for a month. When someone asks for a jump it's a safer way to help than hooking up your car with jumper cables and better for your vehicle. All I can say is that it is a nessecity not just a convenience. I'll use this every time I go camping!! October 19, 2015 I used this for a camping 4 nights. Kept quite a few phones charged up as well as other portable chargers and speakers. Died on the 3rd day. It did its job and more so I couldn't complain. Got home and charged it up, took about 20 hours. Saved me on the FIRST day! How did I live without this? September 22, 2015 I have so much to say about this portable battery! This product has literally saved me in so many bad situations. Literally the day that it was delivered to my house I put it into my car and took a road trip to a location over 300 miles away. After parking at a convenience store to fill up with gas, something had happened to my car and my battery died. Luckily for me I had this amazing battery jumper with me and it saves the day, allowing me to get to the location that I needed to get to.Not only that, my friend had his tire go low on him and he lives in a villa and doesn't have a personal garage to work out of. I was able to fill up his tire using this product! Four Star Reviews: | 14% I have used this item for 3 years. Primarily ... July 18, 2017 I have used this item for 3 years. Primarily used it as a camping power box. I powered portable water pumps and macerator pumps, 12 volt TV DVD players, countless hours of sirius radio, inflated kids toys/balls, and jumped many cars, tractors, and winches. Jumper cables are now melted and will be replaced. 12vt accessory plugs no longer work and need to be removed/replaced. I have not tried to crack it open and get to those 12 volt plugs. No fuses or resets are on the outside of the container. I have been looking at alternative power boxes and can not find any similar product that lasted so long and powered so many "camping" related functions. The air pump is a joke. I use the 12 volt plugs to power 12 volt air pumps. Those air pumps are for boating rafts and floats as well as air mattress filling. If I could I'd rip the air pump feature out of the box permanently. It's come in handy since my snowblower's battery took a crap on me this season December 21, 2016 I bought this for occasional tent camping and to use as a jump starter. Although I haven't used it for the air ... January 6, 2016 This thing is great. Although I haven't used it for the air compressor yet, it has held up well. We bought it for a road trip and before we left my relatives house in Oregon we had the opportunity to test it out during a massive snow storm. It jumped a car and charged multiple people's phones for about 6 hours and then showed that it still had 82% left.My only disappointment with this was that it was unable to lower my electric kettle. I was really wanting some oatmeal on the drive and it just wasn't powerful enough to get it to boil. Great product, nice to have in a pinch! October 12, 2015 We bought this portable power source after having several positive experiences with my brother-in-law's machine. Most recently, on a camping trip, we were sold on this product as we saw it used for several very useful purposes. We used it to inflate our air mattresses, inside our tent, which was very convenient. We used it to charge our phones. We even used it to inflate a spare tire for the camping trailer whenw e got a flat. My husband insisted that we purchase one for ourselves since it was only $100. So we did, and we love it! My only complaint, and the reason I only gave it 4 stars, is that it does not come with a charging cord. You have to have/purchase an extension cord of your own in order to charge it, and considering you are supposed to charge it within 36 hours of receipt, that was kind of frustrating. But as far as the functionality and features go, I'd highly recommend you buy one for emergency preparedness, or everyday use! Jumped my garage queen with Zero issues. June 15, 2015 Solid piece of equipment. Amazon's price matched the local big box retailer, and it was a no brainer to order online. Particularly after 2 of the chain's local stores showed stock on their corpo site, but the employees were brain dead and/or the only one of this SKU around was a floor model that looked like it had been thru a tractor pool event at the county fair. Bought to have on hand for future situations, such as my garaged car with dead battery. Started the vehicle immediately, with 12.9 showing on the voltage readout. Excellent start to long-term ownership, no pun intended. Great value February 26, 2013 It has a nice capacity, the inverter is 200W, it has a compressor (of course like all small compressors you can't run them for more than about 10 minutes without resting them). Comes with a lot of a nice assortment of accessories. Whats missing is the car charging cable. Even if you have/make one, using it bypasses the charging circuitry, so you can't have it hooked up that way for more than an hour assuming it's dead. Also, I'm not sure why design wise you have to turn on the JUMP switch to make the USB charging port work, thats just strange! It's fairly well made, but the only thing is that the rubber outlet covers don't reliably stay on. They would be better off using spring loaded snap covers. All in all, probably the best value for versatility (since it just doesn't jump; fills tires and air mattresses, charges your laptop, etc...comes in handy when you house loses power) and capacity. Three Star Reviews: | 6% Not the best for CPAP machine (at least in my case). August 24, 2017 Not impressive but works. Wish it came with a cord to plug. Takes a LONG time to charge. Gets me about 6 hours to run my CPAP machine when camping. I use the Airsense 10 CPAP. ... AC fans I have used in the past to cool my dogs in the car July 17, 2016 Bought this hoping it would run two small AC fans I have used in the past to cool my dogs in the car. For years I used a Xantrex power station that was wheeled and ran off a golf cart battery; it would run both fans for 6-8 hours or so, then I piggybacked a marine battery on top and it would run them through an entire dog show weekend. It finally died, and I no longer trial outside much so just needed something that would run the fans for 1-2 hours max when crating out of the car at class or running short errands. This one will run one of the fans for 1-2 hours, but it can't run both of them at all. So probably will use it with a couple of smaller 12 volt fans I have as a backup to my Ryobis, not what I was hoping for for the money. I did buy a solar charger to keep it charged which I haven't had a chance to use yet. Works great for a short period of time April 19, 2016 Works great for a short period of time, then battery start dying so fast and needs to be recharged very often. No reliable product, even so I have bought several units during the last couple of years just because the price! Is Ok but would not run my 120 watt laptop power supply April 13, 2016 For the price it is fine and will jump start a car and the light might come in handy the USB ports are handy the DC ports work fine and the air compressor works is not loud but is slow. The 120V outlets might work for non sensitive things but it did not work on my laptop...which has a 120 watt power supply and within the 200 watts this outputs. Seems after I read the instruction more carefully this does not output a pure sine wave for the 120V AC outlets and I imagine my laptop did not like that. I wound up having to buy a separate DC to AC converter for $26 to use with this in the DC port. I got the Bestek 300 Watt Power Inverter plugged it in to the DC power port then plugged my laptop in to the Bestek and it now powers my laptop as well as charging it at a fast rate. I used velcro to attach the Bestek to the left side of this product.Why Shcumacher couldn't have used better components for their power supply I don't know. Bestek did it complete for only $26.I tested it thoroughly today and it charged two completely drained 6 cell batteries using the Bestek and still had 50% battery left K" firstly the "Jump" part of the pack is useless!! the crank amps suck March 13, 2016 this power pack is just "O.K" firstly the "Jump" part of the pack is useless!! the crank amps suck!!! and are marked underneath the unit in black making it virtually impossible to read!! I think its about 400 crank amps! I'm not even going to be precise because basically its so low that it will only help crank your engine if your battery is ONLY dim/low. it will NOT jump it off if your battery is dead!! unless you have about 5 hours spare to leave the jump box clipped to the battery and it might just charge your battery enough to crank up itself!! Secondly the air hose for the compressor is crap!! sure its woven in some nice protective material but when you're losing air power and wonder why you start to cut away at all that material to find a very fragile crumbled crap weathered rubber hose with cracks all over it!! I guess from every time you have to get it in that very small compartment! what ever!! if I paid $60 for this thing then this review would not even exist and my face would be saw from me just punching myself for not spending more!! jump start let me down February 25, 2015 I’ve tried to jump start two different vehicles and it didn’t work either time. It showed 100% charged and I put it in “jump start position.” I used it a couple times to power my mp3 player when I didn’t have another power source and that was nice. It looks cool, but I’m not happy about the jump not working. I bought it for the jump. The clamp cables are VERY short and need to be a little longer. Two Star Reviews: | 7% Don't buy it for the air compressor. June 2, 2017 I bought this jumper pack to replace my Costco model from many years ago. Compared to that, this model is passable from a power standpoint. The built in inverter does its job. The air compressor is a total afterthought though. Awkwardly arranged on the back of the unit, it fills very slowly and shuts down after a few minutes and then you need to let it cool for about 10 more. It makes filling low tires a very frustrating experience. It's okay for topping up a few PSI though. Research closely and know your needs!!! October 2, 2016 Description does not list "watts", Schumacher site says "peak of 400 but 200 continuous", a small crock pot takes 275 and will not run on this. Additionally, the compressor must be very small as it overheats and shuts down after a few minutes of running. May be a great jump starter but these other features are what I was needing.Luckily, I bought this from Amazon and they refunded my purchase price! Thanks Amazon! Low Cranking Power September 20, 2016 Starting current seems low for jump starts. I have jumped a V-6 minivan, V-10 Ram, and riding mower. Each was equally labored when starting, even with a full charge, but did start. Very slow compressor. Price point ($98) too high for performance. I would not purchase again for more than $45. Poor customer service August 13, 2016 One mistake on the inverter and it's shot. Tried three times to contact Schumacher. Poor customer service. Amazon replaced I, twice. Great customer service, Amazon! Same thing happened. If you plan on using the inverter, you will be disappointed. Everything else works as advertised. Short working life November 28, 2015 Product worked well for the first 6 months or so. Since that point, the battery kept taking in a little less charge every time, but it stayed above 90. I am at 9 months now, and it suddenly dropped off a cliff to 4% max power holding. Regardless of how long I charge it, it never exceeds 4% charged capacity. I will update this review with the results of my call to the warranty folks. I liked that this could be used to charge my phone ... January 12, 2015 Stopped working after a couple years of light use. If you have a truck look to something stronger - couldn't jump my F150 truck.I liked that this could be used to charge my phone during power outages. One Star Reviews: | 15% Didn't jump my boat battery, let me down! October 25, 2017 had it for a year, used it a few times and now the cigarette lighter power supplies don't work and it will not jump start anything. USB works and 12v works as well as everything else. Boat battery died on the lake, tried to jump it with the box and no luck, Thank god an old couple in a fishing boat towed my 24fter to the docks as it was getting dark and a storm was coming in. What a big let down. and only 1 yr warranty for this $120 dollar (now inverter only) power box. Maybe fixable? Very Disappointed! October 12, 2017 Not happy with this at all! wish i could return it. I bought this a couple of months ago, charge it as per instructions, the meter said it was at 100% charged... The very first time i took it out it failed! I used it on a small 110v inverter (with no load) the Battery dead in short time and would not charge back up! looks like i am going to be stuck with this "good for nothing" paper weight.... not completely functional unit; not happy... September 30, 2017 the AC outlets on my jump starter booster pack don't work at all, come to find out. i would greatly like to send it back for one that is fully-functional as the power is an essential function for my work-related camping and vending events.
