I LOVE These Shoe Bags - 3rd Time to Buy Them
June 22, 2017
I just love these shoe bags. This is my third time to buy them. I use them for my shower shoes/flip flops at the gym, tennis shoes that I keep in my backpack, work shoes in my gym bag, and I keep a couple in my suitcase for traveling. I'm buying another set now to keep in my camping gear for my spare shoes or it stuff gets wet/muddy, it won't mess up the rest of the stuff in my pack. And my shoe pairs fit perfectly in them (women's size 8). I LOVE these things!
Good deal, very durable
February 28, 2017
Good deal, very durable, took a while to get shipped but It's totally worth it. These bags may also have other uses because they are very resistant.
I really love these!
May 31, 2016
I really love these!! I use them every time I travel. I will say they are quite small, especially for my women's size 6 (men's size 3) feet. It is hard to get 2 running shoes in at the same time. I got 3 in a pack for the same price as the 5 pack now. If worse comes to worse you can always use 1 bag for each shoe. They also work well for carrying other things - like dirty clothes after the weekend, small trinkets for vacation that might get lost otherwise,
great for OCDs!
June 15, 2012
I don't know why I didn't think of this before. I use this not only when I'm travelling, but also when camping. (I guess I'm travelling then too, huh?, never mind then.) Great for Portland, Oregon's rainy weather. Just bring extra pair of shoes to wear and put your muddy shoes in these bags so the rest of your clothes won't get muddy as well. The nylon fabric is a must because that is what makes it waterproof. Also, you can set up a whole outfit on a hanger, then put the shoes you want to wear with that particular outfit, then hang this as well on the hanger, and voila! you're set for tomorrow! I'm telling you, great for OCDs like me!
Perfect !!!! works like a charm
September 24, 2011
These shoe bags are perfect. $6-7 for a set of THREE, you can't beat it - Amazon Prime. They fit a mens size 12 shoe just perfectly... anything larger i'm not sure of...Simple draw string - they could add one of those plastic draw string spring clamps, but then again they work perfectly just the way they are.for the money and amazon prime free shipping - there's nothing that will come close !!!!
Works with dress shoes and athletic shoes
September 6, 2009
Each bag is fine for holding two dress or athletic shoes. One thing to mention is the bags aren't cloth. They are more like umbrella or vinyl raincoat material. Pretty thin but that's all you need for the suitcase.

Awesome product!
July 24, 2017
I used these while traveling to Thailand! These are great to keep your shoes clean and protect your clothes in the suitcase from dirty shoes!
These are an improved fabric, and great for ladies shoes to minimize scratches.
June 23, 2016
I purchased this set as well as the other Lewis N. Clark black/purple shoe covers. Both are good. I like the purple color in the other box; however, the fabric this pair is made of is a much better quality that the other pair of shoe covers in the other box. Each box of 2 pair had the same price. Both packages had the same product number, and it appears it is just a different year of manufacture. Since I already had the other, I can only assume this is the newer, improved version. I highly recommend these for ladies dress shoes to prevent scratches.
Smooth Fabric, Not Ridged. Purple color is nearly Black
April 21, 2016
These work great and are plenty long for those with large feet. My only issue is twofold. First, the fabric is smooth not ridged as in the photo, second, the purple is not the purple that is pictured. It is a much darker almost black purple. I was hoping to be able to tell them apart more easily. I object to not having the correct visuals because I get my expectations set accordingly. I already have one set from " forever ago" that match the posted photo. I was expecting these to match.

As a side note, I had purchased a fancy shoe holder for twice the price and practically speaking, I don't see the point. If I could receive as many as I wanted of either kind, I would pick these Lewis and Clark ones. The simplicity and lack of bulk are far more important to me than having fancy shoe covers. Unless you need waterproof shoe holders, these work great!
Many more uses than just for shoes
February 21, 2015
These travel shoes covers are fantastic! They fit even my steel toed shoes that I need to take with me on business travel. You can stretch their use by doubling up on thin shoes. They take up no more room than the size of the shoe and can also double to clean your shoes if needed. I also like that I can separate the shoes while packing with this item.

But, I use these for more than just shoes. Watches and other delicate items can also be protected with them. You simply canot go wrong with these
Great, better than plastic bags
October 12, 2012
made easier to pack better than plastic bags no sweating, like colors you know which pair you are pulling out, just used them on 10 day busy tour, saved so much time, could change shoes to let them dry and rest, the shoe covers breed thus allowing shoes to dry/air out, used plastic bags for 8 years these cover are not the same & well worth the money

September 17, 2015
good product. just note you have to tie the string to keep it closes. Some drawstring bags tighten and stay tight but this one does not.
Cheap But Useful...
July 7, 2015
I needed these for when I travel to help keep them contained without using the original boxes, which can take up a lot of room. Because I am a shoe fanatic, I can't bring myself to put them in grocery bags. As soon as I got them I was able to put my size 11.5 high tops I happened to be wearing in them but it was a tight fit (as you can see in the pictures). The drawstrings seem pretty flimsy, but all in all they should be okay.
they're more like a lightweight polypropylene (yes
June 7, 2015
For some reason I thought the material of these bags would have been a waterproof nylon-like material (a more slippery/shiny fabric if that makes sense). However, they're more like a lightweight polypropylene (yes, I googled that word haha)...the same fabric that a lot of reusable grocery bags are made of. These bags do the job though. I wear a size 7-7.5 in women's shoes and these bags fit my shoes with room to spare. I've already used them on my mini vacays and they definitely help me stay organized and keep my shoes separate from my other belongings. Hope this review is helpful!
Good value for money
June 18, 2013
I use these nylon bags to carry my shoes (size 11) and they fit perfectly. However, the bag is not big enough for carrying boots or chukka boots. Material is water-resistant and has drawstring at top. I am a road warrior and travel for work so these bags have seen heavy use over past year. For less than $2/bag, it looks way classier than cheap grocery bags. However, taking away a star due to somewhat flimsy stitching. I use cedar shoe trees in my shoes when traveling and the added weight of shoe+shoetree finally ripped a few stitches in one of the bags. Though the fabric was easily re-stitchable.
Awesome shoe bag for travel
December 17, 2012
I travel a ton and always bring heels and stack them in my suitcase. This was a perfect addition to my travel needs. I wear size 5.5 and managed to fit 2 pairs of platform heels in each bag, the only thing that would make this better is if it was transparent (asking a bit much I know) or if there was a clasp of some sort to close the bag, but since I squeezed 2 pairs of shoes that might have been part of the problem. You can still scrunch it down though and it will close pretty well. Def helps me stay organized better!
Very reasonably priced option
May 7, 2012
I think these bags will work for me. I just wish they were clear instead of brown to make them more security friendly. I don't think the product really needs a toggle because you can always knot the string, I guess that option is also less security friendly, but better than the shoes falling out. I can't really comment regarding size because I wear a size 6 and don't travel with really high heels, over 2-3". I am happy with this purchase overall.

Light, washable bags are great, they just need a cinch closure on the drawstring
December 2, 2015
I love these shoe bags because each bag is very light and accommodates one shoe. This is a benefit to people that have small carryon baggage and need to squeeze items into tight spaces. Packing 2 shoes together takes up a huge amount of space but one shoe per bag allows more options for packing.

I wish the drawstring closure had a plastic cinch to keep the drawstring closed. Without any cinch, the bags open up easily. I bought a small pack of cinches from Amazon and will be attaching them to the drawstrings. All in all a good bag.
Perfect for Travel
January 25, 2015
Some reviewers have criticized this product for its thin, "flimsy" fabric. Yes, the fabric is thin, but it's also light-weight and -- while I don't know about you -- I don't want to pay an overweight baggage fee (that's $100 on Delta!) because of heavy shoe covers. The workmanship is not the best, but for the price and for the purpose, they're fine. You use shoe covers when traveling keep dirt from your shoes off of your cloths and to keep other items in your suitcase from scratching your shoes. These covers are perfectly adequate to do that.

I wear American Men's size 12. These covers are just big enough for my shoes. If you have bigger feet than mine, then you will need to find bigger covers than these.
Works, fits real shoes.
October 11, 2014
Simple, effective, and not expensive.
I like that these are single-shoe bags instead of 2-up bags, as it allows more flexible packing options.
Dress shoes fit just fine.

The only thing they might add is some kind of drawstring lock or button. You just have to tie a knot.
The material is very thin. If the shoes are actually dirty or wet, it won't contain the mess, which would go through the mesh-like material. It's mostly to keep your shiny loafers from getting scratched up, I guess.

With one order, you get four bags in all, two of each color. The listing is a bit confusing that way.
Very Useful
December 28, 2013
I travel a lot and after having my clothes get dirty from the bottom of my shoes a couple times I started putting them in a bag when I packed. Having the individual pouches though makes much better use of the space and keeps my clothes clean. I always said I was just going to make my own, but I never did and when I saw these at a good price I just purchased them. They are great. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they force you to buy two pairs of them, which I didn't need two, and because the material is a little thin but I have been using them for almost a year and they have held up just fine. One note, I am a guy and they work fine for my athletic and dress shoes but I don't know that they would fit some of the larger, odd shaped, women's shoes that I see my friends wear.
Fits my husband's size 13 shoes
November 30, 2012
My husband can fit one of his size 13 shoes in each of these. Boots would not fit. One suggestion would be to add a toggle to each one to keep it cinched closed. I had some extra ones lying around so we added those and they work great. Keeps his shoes from getting everything else in his carry on bag dirty.

Needs to be bigger and needs to be able to tie the bag.
Low quality item
September 24, 2015
This is a very cheaply made product. The seam stitches are large and the edges are starting to unravel because there was no protective stitching on the edges to contain the raveling fabric. The bags are starting to get holes as a result and the strings from the unraveling are annoying. Would not buy this product again.
A bit small..
July 25, 2015
These would have been awesome 100 years ago when foot binding was still legal, but in the 21st century they could surely find a few extra centimeters to makes the product more relevant. If you have a small foot - its a great product to have and travel with, if you have a size 10 like me its still good but just annoying as its a tight fit that makes it much more time consuming that it needs to be and is such an easy issue to address..
Fast shipping, bag is a little small.
July 6, 2015
This size of the bag could be a little larger. Purchased this as a add-on sale. Didn't think about shoe size and bag size. Size 12 business dress shoes don't fit all the way. The bag could have been just a little bigger!
There are better alternatives
October 9, 2013
I went on a travel organization binge and bought these, the Ebags brand packing cubes, and the Eagle Creek pac-it-sacs. I was not impressed with these shoe bags. The quality is fine, for a mini drawstring bag, but it does previous little to help with packing, or to keep the shoes from scuffing one another (since you just throw the pair in the bag) and it's frustrating that you have to open the bag to see what shoes are contained within the bag. My previous method of reusing plastic grocery bags worked just as well, if not better, than this system.
Not bad, but...
April 28, 2010
This shoe bag would be good for shoes smaller than size 10 mens I think. I wear size 10.5 or 11 and I can't close the opening. The length measures more like 14.5 inches, but I think I would need about 17 inch length to close it well. The width is a bit of a squeeze for my shoes and requires extra work w/ both hands to get them in. I think this is best for ladies shoes and smaller mens shoes. To be fair, I've looked around and most shoe bags are about this big, and some even run smaller. I think price-wise it is not bad and it can be used to store other goods too. I'm using a carry sack (about $5.50 from local dept. store) for my golf shoes now, which is so much easier to put it in and take it out of. On Amazon, carry sacks costs a fair bit more.

October 15, 2016
The product is ok overall, the material that it is made of is very smooth to the touch. The elastic band however is unable to remain closed on its own unless the string is tied which I don't really want to do.
Touch small, needs a drawcord stopper.
May 23, 2016
Drawstring design isn't great, sizing is *just* a touch small (mens size 12).

If it were ~10% larger and featured a stopper on the drawcord - we'd be in business.
pretty good
March 10, 2015
works well, a little tight fit foe some of my shoes (im size 12), but i can still fit any shoe in there because the fabric is a bit stretchy. its hard to tell if they are inside out as it kinda always looks inside out (but that isnt really an issue)
Good and cheap
December 29, 2014
Very thing fabric. Does the trick of not letting shoes rub against each other, but the do fall off during flight. Would be nicer if the closure system had better string.
Thinner than hoped for
February 15, 2013
These were made of a much thinner fabric than others i have. I was disappointed, as they were to be a gift and had a flimsy feel and appearance. That said, they will do the job of protecting clothing in a suitcase and keeping the shoe clean and dust free when stored.

Product quality has changed
June 6, 2016
Bought two sets of these over a year and a half ago, kept one and gave one as a gift. Needed more so order another set, which took over a month to arrive from China. Bag material and string closure are not the same quality as the original sets I bought nor do they look like the photo and description of product. Not even sure if these will hold up after first use. Very disappointed I bought these!

Travel Shoe Bag Review
February 21, 2016
This is a review of the Travel Shoe Bag. Sadly, one of these has already broken on the drawstring lock, which appeared to be made of cheaper plastic. Thus, I am no longer able to secure the draw string closed, which allows the shoes to fall out of the bag. The bag material appears to be made well enough. It does not cost that much, yet still disappointed that it no longer stays closed. A 2.4 out of 5.0 stars.
Cheap material rips easily.
July 11, 2015
Will do the job but made of extremely cheap paper-like material that will rip in a heartbeat. I ripped mine already. Don't expect a lot of use out of these. You get what you pay for I guess. It does the job of protecting my clothes in my suitcase from my shoes, but I don't expect to get more than one or two uses out of them.

December 14, 2016
The bag itself it fine, it's just you can't close the top of the bag. There is no clip or way to close the bag. I found that the shoe ends up wiggling it's way out of the bag during travel. I don't want to tie a knot in the string for fear I wouldn't be able to get it open. I recommend finding a product similar, but with some sort of closure to keep the shoe in the bag.
Very thin and slippery
December 5, 2016
These covers are very thin and slippery, and the drawstring does not stay closed unless you tie it manually. So you have to tie your shoes into the bag or the bag slips right off. Functional, but really more annoying than useful.
Two Stars
November 14, 2016
Needs to be longer to accommodate my size 11.5 shoes.
Cheap and smelly
September 23, 2015
These shoe pouches are cheap, thin and reek of chemicals. Seriously. I took them out of the box and there was this strong odor that was like a mix between chemicals and body odor. I bought a pair of higher end Johnston & Murphy shoes a few years ago and they came with a very nice cotton/fleece type bags for the shoes.

This time when I bought a cheaper shoe I didn't get a bag so I thought these would be a good replacement.

I'll still probably try these after I spray them with Febreeze, but I can't imagine they will hold up long.
Disappointing
November 7, 2014
These feel flimsy and look inside-out no matter which way you turn them. Also, two ladies' shoes may not fit in one bag as advertised--only light sandals or dress shoes.

Flimsy and small!
June 7, 2015
Bag was flimsy and wasn't big enough to hold my size 11.5 wide (USA) dress shoes. When I tried to close the bag, it ripped easily when the mouth closed around the heels of my shoes. Good thing I only spent $1 on this bag!
Do not buy- Flimsy construction

February 4, 2015
These are cheaply and poorly made. The older nylon bags were excellent and lasted a long time. These feel slightly better than paper. After very little use, they're all falling apart.Like I said: paper.
will not buy again
November 14, 2014
OK, I get it, these are not a lot of money, but they came directly from China...OK...and one of them tore immediately when I took them out of the bag. I don't even know if I got what I paid for here...which wasn't much. Will not buy again.
Too small.
October 25, 2013
I wear size 12 shoes. I can't even put them in this bag. I can barely get it to cinch up around 1 shoe, because it's not long enough. It's too narrow to even get two shows in. If your shoes are smaller, the bag itself seems worth the money. But if your shoes are mens size 10 or bigger, don't bother with these.

The shoes fall out of these bags. The fabric is very slippery and the strings do not keep the bags closed. I should have returned the bags, but I gave them to Goodwill instead.
Too thin for me
August 4, 2013
Years ago, I bought some of these from Samsonite...same shape and colors as this, but a heavier weave. They felt like they protected the rest of your suitcase from the shoe. I can actually put hiking boots in the old ones. They obviously aren't cut for use on boots, but the old ones could stretch to cover the boots, and these new ones don't. The weave is so thin that there isn't enough stretch for a boot when I want to use them for that. In fact, these are so thin that they just feel like they're a waste of time putting them on and off a shoe. You can see through them to the shoe. I don't use them, and sorry I bought two pairs.
