A very pleased customer 😊
January 12, 2017
I received my Yamaha electric keyboard stand on time and packaged well. The stand is great! Heavy duty and is great looking as well my son had no problem assembling it. I would recommend this item to a friend
Simply awesome for the price.
December 29, 2015
Very sturdy stand and no matter how wide your keyboard is, this stand can accommodate because the top arms are adjustable and slide out as much as needed. Also the top arms have small wings at the end to keep your keyboard in place and not worry about sliding back and forth. Adjusts easily.
Great keyboard stand! Highly recommended
January 26, 2015
This is an extremely sturdy stand that is one of the best keyboard stands I have ever used. It is a bit heavy, which is a great thing, because that means it won't wobble. Assembly was easy, and the adjustable clamps will be able to accommodate any size keyboard. Although I wish it were possible to actually close them more. It isn't a big deal because of the excellent durability this stand has which more than makes up for that.
X-Stand YKA7500
April 26, 2011
When I received the package, I was surprised that neither the box nor the stand has a YAMAHA label on it. So I have posted an image of the box for reference purposes. The X-Stand built quality is excellent. Very strong and sturdy. I felt it is worth the investment.Light assembly required, it's easy to assemble. In my case it was little tricky since my stand had the Yellow, Green & Purple stickers mixed up (that help to align the X with the bottom & top pieces). However it was no brainer to figure out the right way to assemble it.

Very sturdy. I thought it would be too tippy for my antsy 6 and 9 year old boys, but is quite sure footed and they have not had a problem.
Fantastic product - well worth the investment!

this thing is super sturdy. Adjustable to 3 heights as mentioned, it's very comfortable and I use it to sit on when playing guitar. It is rock solid, and comes assembled so nothing to worry about in that area. Fantastic product.
STURDY WITH FIRM SEAT
December 27, 2016
This stand is sturdy and firm. It feels as good or better than any full size wooden piano stool. It is easy to assemble and break down and very portable. This was included in a package deal with a Yamaha P45 piano keyboard.

Great for the price. I needed something slightly taller to sit on than a chair. Exactly what I needed.
Very good bench.
February 22, 2016
We bought a piano that came with this bench as part of a package deal. I figured we wouldn't get much in the way of a bench, but we wanted the piano, so held off on purchasing another bench. I am so glad we did. The seat is thick and comfortable. It's very adjustable. You do not have to put it together, it comes completely assembled. My 8 year old, who is not a tall 8, uses this seat and can reach his keyboard perfectly. We have to put something under his feet, but we were more concerned about height than feet. He is a squirmer, even when he's playing, and this doesn't topple over or become unsteady.
Sturdy and looks good
July 31, 2010
This is a good solid piano bench and is not cheap looking. It looks surprisingly good with my electric piano. It's sturdy enough for large adults. I studied most of the piano benches offered on Amazon and read most of the reviews before deciding on this one, and have not regretted choosing it. I just wish I could store some music inside of it.

Works Great with my Yamaha Reface
August 16, 2017
For what you pay, this is a great pedal. (Got a discount with Prime)
I was expecting to receive a dinky pedal about the size of my hand. This is a sturdy large pedal, even wider than my guitar wah pedal. I bought this for use with my Yamaha Reface. This is a great buy for amazon Primer's.
The Only Pedal You'll Need
March 4, 2017
I love these flat FC5 sustain pedals. They are much more durable the standard pedals. Although I still have an original Yamaha pedal that I purchased back in 2002 and it still works perfectly till this day, I'm a little more partial to this one now. I've been using this pedal for 2 years now and I haven't had ANY problems with it. I bought this one to keep in my laptop gig bag, in case of a faulty pedal when I do gigs out.
Cheap but sturdy...
August 21, 2016
Basic sustain pedal. If using it at home I'm sure it will hold up. As a gigging musician, I go through a couple of these per year, but for the price I see it as the cost of doing business. Sure there are fancier more expensive models out there, but they all eventually break, usually at the point where the cable enters the pedal. They are designed to fail, so why spend more when a supply of these cheapies does the trick? HINT: if you want a long lasting sustain pedal, or any kind of pedal, try to find one that uses a detachable cord.
Sustain your NOTES
December 8, 2015
High Quality, great performance. Mind you this is a on/off pedal so if you are looking for 1/2 sustain then you are better off buying FC3. I like FC5 swell but this one feels more like the conventional pedals that a Acoustic Piano has. The spring offers enough resistance to give close to real feel.
Durable and functional - especially for live use
July 2, 2014
These sustain pedals take some getting used to, but they are much better for live use than the sustain pedals that operate more like a traditional sustain pedal, in my opinion. Here's why:

1) They don't have reliability issues - All traditional sustain pedals I have used (e.g., Yamaha FC4) develop problems with the actual mechanism (this includes models from Yamaha, On Stage and M Audio). They typically go down right in the middle of a live show, and either don't sustain or leave the sustain on at all times. Not fun. These little pedals never fail. I have had one for over 20 years, and it always works. Sometimes you need to re-tighten the side screws after extended use -- but that's it.

2) They don't slide around as much as FC4 type sustain pedals -- much easier to keep reined in under your feet when performing - whether you stand or site when you play.

3) They work better with Ultimate Support APEX-type stands -- because you can fit the sustain pedal in front of the feet on those stands. FC4-type sustain pedals must be angled sideways to be usable with an APEX-type stand unless you want to stand at a strange angle while playing. Angling those pedals will work -- but it further shortens the time you have before that type of sustain pedal wears out. Also, when you stand and play, you don't need to raise your foot as high with these FC-5 type pedals -- much less fatigue.

4) They are easier to transport, because they are much smaller and lighter.

5) They cost less -- especially when you consider they don't need to be replaced nearly as often.

For me, it has been well worth the time to get used to how these pedals work to take advantage of improved reliability and stability. They also work really well as control footswitches (e.g., to trigger a Leslie fast/slow effect on a Nord or similar keyboard). Personally, I will not be buying any more FC4-type pedals. The ones I have that still work will be used at home.

Warning! The Minimum Width is 14 inches not 11 inches as described
December 5, 2015
Well made, if not a bit heavy. I am returning it because the width on the description says 11 inches but in reality the minimum width is like 14 inches. I have a narrow keyboard that measures 11 3/4 inches in width. This stand looked to be perfect after reading the product description. So unless I was shipped the wrong keyboard, the product description needs to be corrected.
... top doesn't adjust to the width of the keyboard like I expected it to
July 25, 2014
The top doesn't adjust to the width of the keyboard like I expected it to. Furthermore, the minimum height is still very tall---too tall for any of the chairs in my house. I sit on some pillows on my chair. I put the pedal on some books to raise it to where my foot comfortably can rest.As a result, this stand probably should be bought alongside an adjustable bench.
Very good stand!
April 28, 2014
I can see why the tag line is the tag line for this stand ... Built by musicians for musicians. When deciding on how many stars to give the stand I was torn between 3 or 4. I ended up going 4 because of the construction and solid feel to the stand. I am currently using it for a Yamaha MoXF 8 and it feels great on there.I have 2 complains about it. The instructions to assemble the stand were not concise. The best thing I can recommend is not to over think it and the color codings do help. The other complaint is that when you are sitting the stand is still just a tad high - about 3 or 4 inches above my belly button which will cause you to raise your hands while playing which can get a tad uncomfortable but after playing for 2 hours today it didn't bother me.All in all a great stand by Yamaha. I would not hesitate to recommend it. The stand also has great grips to keep your keyboard secure and has a quick raise/lower mechanism.
Great stand if you're standing
November 20, 2013
This is sturdy, built like a tank. But if you want to sit and play it is a tad too high[ about one 'notch' higher than the typical x style stand. I have a CP300 on it right now, which is a rather thick keyboard, that makes a difference. I still wish it was a tad lower. But it is a very nice, well engineered, strong stand. I love the clutch used to raise and lower it.
I like it, but...
May 17, 2010
Sturdy and solid as a rock, but I wish it could adjust to a lower height. At it's lowest setting it puts my keyboard almost 3 inches higher than my acoustic piano.

Not the best piano seat i ever sat on but will work
May 15, 2017
Not the best piano seat i ever sat on for sure but as a keyboard seat for less than an hour practise once in a while it does the job.It was easy to mount, just unfold and screw and it pretty light and portable. The comfort is not the best of all and to be honest more than an hour seating on this would seem challenging to me but as a simple solution it works.
It does the job and matches the stand and black keyboard.

It does the job and is comfortable. I prefer a good wooden piano bench that opens so I can store my piano books but this does the job and is light enough and comfortable

April 8, 2017
This bench is functional, but uncomfortable. I bought it because it was the cheapest one, and you get what you pay for. I use it exclusively in my home studio, so I don't spend too much time on it for long stretches, so it's a great fit for me. If you like a softer cushion, spend the extra money...

The bench works well, I am not used to sitting without a back but it is good. The cushion isn't the greatest but for a half hour or hour it works well, seems solid and I would recommend it to anyone, I think it would hold a large person, I am over 200 pounds and it doesn't seem to mind...
Very good quality. Comfy cushion
October 2, 2014
Very good quality.Comfy cushion, nice leather, stable and sturdy.I'm 250 lb and it stands like a rock under me.Two cons. Both minor, don't affect the quality of the chair when it's assembled.1. The height: I'd want to be able to put it a bit lower. Will have to drill another hole myself.2. The bolt. You have to unscrew the bolt completely and try not to loose the washers, and assembly it back. It could be done more simply.

Good product, for a good price
December 9, 2016
Very good product in terms of the price, make, material and usability. It has enough weight so that it stays in position and does not move around while you are pushing it during a performance. It is best if you can place it on a small rug. The cable is long enough so it can be placed adequately on the ground while the keyboard is placed on the highest possible elevation on a stand.
Great, takes some getting used to.
October 31, 2016
The Yamaha FC3A foot pedal works as advertised, as I use it for my Yamaha MOXF8 with sounds that's able to use half-pedaling (Pre1 Full Concert Grand). You have a bit of travel on the pedal before it actually registers (I have to go almost halfway down before I notice an effect), and the half-pedaling effect seems to go to a full pedal early (Don't hear much a difference between 3/4ths and fully depressed pedal). If there was a way to adjust the sensitivity on this pedal, I would definitely give it 5 stars. It's well worth having one of these, especially if you have another pedal plugged in alongside it, though I would want to test one against the original Yamaha FC3.
The directions on your piano may not tell you this!
May 13, 2015
Ok, I know you just bought this pedal and plugged it in with the power on your Yamaha Digital piano and it works backwards, right? It sustains with the pedal up, right? It has reversed polarity because you didn't unplug your adapter. Just to make sure unplug your pedal, unplug your piano adapter and plug in the pedal and plug in your adapter for the piano and turn on your piano and it should work correctly.
Works
January 18, 2015
I bought this to use with an old Yamaha SPX90. It works great. My only complaint is that it only has one function. It would have been better if there was a way to go forward AND back but that is more an issue with the SPX90 design than this pedal. The chord could also be longer.
The pedal works great for triggering drum machines
August 21, 2014
The pedal works great for triggering drum machines, punching in and out while recording, and for turning effects on and off. It's just a momentary switch, but functions well.

It works fine as a sustain switch for keyboards, but, if you are used to real piano pedals, you may be disappointed, as the throw is much shorter and the feel is much different. Of course, it's only thirteen bucks so, you probably shouldn't expect a perfect feel as a sustain pedal.

The rubber on both the top and bottom provides good grip. It doesn't move around much on my hardwood floor, and I like that the entire bottom surface is rubberized, instead of just having four rubber feet, like so many pedals have. I found that the top surface seems just a bit stickier than the bottom, so, if you have a really slick floor, you can just flip the footswitch over and use it like that.

The cable is just the right length, without too much extra length to get tangled up in, but long enough for flexibility in placing the switch. I could see where a 1/4" jack instead of a hard-wired cable would be nice to allow users to change the length, and also to prevent the cable from wearing out, but if you take decent care of your gear, this pedal should last a long time.

The housing is metal and seems sturdy, in case you are wondering.

It seems like a good value, works like it should, and should last. It would be five stars if it was labeled simply as a "momentary foot switch" instead of as a sustain pedal. (even though it works as one) I'd be disappointed if I were expecting the feel of a sustain pedal, but am very happy with it as a momentary switch.

Great deal!

It's sturdy enough, but the platform arms meant to hold the actual piano are too wide, rendering the adjustable clamps useless. This is ironic considering that this is a Yamaha product. It won't even fit their own pianos.

September 27, 2016
This was nearly impossible to put together. It did eventually happen, despite the laws of physics being defied and so far so good. It is sturdy enough to hold a full size keyboard and it lives in my daughter's room. Think about where you place this thing too.... maybe not somewhere that you find yourself walking in in the dark and maybe you wont stub your toe on it like me:)
Too High!
January 14, 2015
Really great, but the lowest height is very high -- much higher than other stands I've used. Too bad because everything else about this stand is excellent.
not is stable in a small keyboard

is secured with screws so it get to loose, only recomended for the heaviest keyboards because in a small one don get secure
Solid stand, but be aware that this is not a Yamaha product
January 25, 2012
Also requires wrenches, which it did not come with, and the instructions leave the part out where you have to unlock the cross-bracings to adjust the height (using aforementioned wrenches). But simple, solid stand otherwise. Does not seem very portable as you have to take it apart to put it into a folding configuration.
Stable, but a pain
December 10, 2009
The other reviews have it right when they say this stand is definitely stable and easy to adjust...from the top. Stupid locking wheel in the center is not so convenient, and you pretty much have to unscrew the base supports to collapse it down for storage or to make it shorter. Don't know that that inconvenience is really worth the cost on this one.

September 21, 2017
I got this for my 5 and 7 year old. It is adjustable but the drawback is at the highest setting this bench has the tendency to tip. My 5 year old fell off it and so did her friend. I didn't keep this in mind while shopping. I recommend that you look for a wider bench for small kids or if you need it for an adult that cannot balance well.
Good enough for the price, but a little misleading to the customer.
March 5, 2016
The Product is good enough, and I thought it was worth the price. However, other comments were correct and this is in no way an official Yamaha product which is false advertising. I don't know why their not just honest and say what it is, because for the price I think it's perfectly acceptable it's not from a big brand. I think that would be better than misleading customers and wouldn't lead to negative reviews.
I'm sure this is a nice bench for a smaller person
July 10, 2014
I bought this to use with my Yamaha DGX 650B. When it arrived, I was surprised at how small it is. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions rather than the pictures. One reviewer states it might hold 200 lb. That would be the upper limit by my guess. This bench is more suitable for a child or a small-built adult. I'm 6'4" and 300lb. I was afraid to sit on it and returned it. I'm sure this is a nice bench for a smaller person.
Reasonably well made, but may not be compatible with some keyboard stands
May 28, 2014
The bench seems sturdy and well-made. But be careful if you intend to use it with a keyboard on a keyboard stand like the one I purchased, the Yamaha PKBX2. At the stand's lowest setting, my Yamaha CP40 piano keyboard is 30 1/2 inches from the ground, not necessarily a big deal. The PKBB1 keyboard bench has a maximum height of 20 1/2 inches. For most people, this bench height is fine if your keyboard is 28 inches from the floor, but it's too low if, as in this case, the keyboard is 30 1/2 inches from the floor. I had to choose between returning the stand or returning the bench, so I'm returning the bench and getting a taller one. The PKBX2 keyboard stand should probably not be sold as a bundle with this bench.
Looks sturdy enough, but look carefully...
February 8, 2014
I purchased this item a few days ago and received it promptly. However, when I went to remove the plastics covering the leg braces, I discovered rusted screws. Needless to say, I am going to be returning this for a replacement. The bench does look and feel sturdy and the padding feels very adequate and comfortable for prolonged sitting. On this particular order, I can't trust the integrity of the bench when the screws holding everything together have rust all over them. For now, I'm giving 3 stars and will update if the replacement arrives in better condition.
Sturdy, comfortable, but not w/o problems
June 3, 2013
I purchased the Yamaha BB1 bench to use with my Yamaha DGX530 keyboard. While an OK value for a relatively low price, the Yamaha bench is solid but plain-looking. It has hollow metal legs, and thin padding with a soft vinyl covering that looks like it could tear or puncture easily, so maybe not a good choice if you have children that might climb on it. It came packaged in a plastic bag within a box, with no real protective padding of any kind, just a couple of pieces of foam to keep the legs from moving around and getting scratched. That didn't work! Before I opened the box I could hear the legs rattling around in there. When I opened it and looked it over I saw that the legs all had small scratches on them, and the vinyl top had a 1/2" cut in it. I find that baffling, because there was no damage at all to the box that I could see, and I did not use a blade to open it. Even if I had, the cut was off to the side and at an angle! Very strange! This would have had to be packaged this way, unless of course it was returned damaged and then resold. (I noticed another review where the reviewer found a tear also, but went ahead and taped it.)Bottom line, after using it for 2 days, I found it reasonably comfortable and sturdy, but a bit low for me. If you can get an undamaged one, it is a plain, sturdy bench for reasonable price and I think you will be happy with it.Rather than return it for a replacement, I decided to return it and try an adjustable bench.I purchased the Ebony Adjustable Artist Piano Bench through Amazon and CPS Imports. It was almost double the cost, but worth every penny and more. Read my review of that bench for more info.NOTE: I may have given the Yamaha bench 4 stars if I had not been able to compare it with the Ebony bench. I did not take the damage into consideration when deciding on the 3 star rating.

Half-Pedal functionality didn't work for me
January 16, 2017
This works ok for me, but I'm pretty disappointed since I bought it for the 'half pedal' functionality and I couldn't get it to work at all for me (and this product IS the one I have- the FC3A, not a different model).

For me, this straight up works as an on/off switch- that's it. Either the pedal is down and I get 100% sustain for as long as the note would normally allow, or it's off and the note stops abruptly. There's no in-between where I can control the length of the sustain by how far I hold my foot down, or if I let up slightly, etc. I might be totally mis-understanding what half-pedal does, but from what I read I as expecting to be able to control the dynamics of the sustain by altering how far I put my foot down, but I'm not able to get that at all. I tried using the internal voices in my NP-31 (which did say it suppors half-pedal functionality), as well as in my DAW when using it as a MIDI controller, and I saw no difference.

I do sometiems also get the reversed functionality issue where not holding the pedal produces sustain and pushing it down stops sustain. I usually just have to unplug for a few seconds and re-plug it in, or turn the keyboard on and off again and that fixes it. Similarly kind of annoying though.

December 13, 2016
I purchased this for my Hammond XK-1c for a volume pedal. It works, but it has a slow response. It also feels like there are only 4 settings... full volume, half, soft and off. It doesn't seem to have a smooth transition either.
Works as needed, but not with an Ableton Push
April 19, 2014
The polarity is reverse from what is used by Ableton Push. I'm currently running a Max for Live plugin to switch the signal in Live, but it would make more sense to buy a pedal with a polarity switch on it from the start. Otherwise, the construction and action are good. As others have said it is very light. Great for portability, but it'll move around on you as you use it.

No way to secure keyboard
April 15, 2017
Purchased this for my daughter's Yamaha keyboard. Very easy to assemble but there is no way to secure the keyboard to the stand. The keyboard slides back and forth and side to side. Keyboard could slide right off if you accidentally bump into it. Not much space for your legs if sitting on a stool.
Not good for narrow keyboards
January 6, 2017
This is very sturdy (and heavy). I bought the stand for my Yamaha P-115 keyboard because it is made by the same company. Unfortunately the keyboard is way too narrow for this stand to grip and there's some 4 inches of extra space behind the keyboard. Also when I play my right knee bumps up against the diagonal leg. This stand might be good for big keyboards, but if yours is on the smaller side do not get this.
Very sturdy though.
August 18, 2015
Too wide for my Yamaha keyboard. Very sturdy though.
Hard to assemble and use
December 30, 2014
I really see very little reason why this shouldn't come pre-assembled, at least to a greater extent than it is. We spent forever trying to figure out the useless instructions, including how to get the circle joist to release into the middle position so that the x legs actually fit into the legs. I just saw that someone answered this in the comments section (you pull on the little rubber level at the keyboard level). The stand seems fine, although less adjustable than I was hoping: it's much wider than my Yamaha P105B, and it's impossible to tighten the top any more than I already have so that it fits snugly around the piano. It's also quite a bit heavier than I thought it would be. I mean, it's more or less serving its purpose, but it's hard for me to understand why the reviews here are generally so positive. Maybe there aren't better alternatives.

Not level. Off by 1" or more. Wobbles. I returned it.
November 23, 2016
Completely off-level--by more than 1". Wobbles way too much to be of any use, even for a child. I returned it. Otherwise quality is fine--in fact this is indistinguishable from other such items, so much so that I expect we see many identical products under different brand names. So you might have better luck with yours.
Unbalanced and Wobbly. Not a Yamaha Product At All
June 23, 2016
• The bench is wobbly no matter what surface I put it on (it is not the floor)• Adjusting the height has no effect on the unbalanced design and the wobble• The product is NOT made by Yamaha.  It is not even made for Yamaha. It is "Distributed by Yamaha Corporation of America"• The product is imported by The Music People Inc of Berlin, CTPositives:• Easy to assembleYou learn to manage the wobble, and the bench does work. However, it is never as stable as you wish.As for the bait and switch......it is as if Rolex would distribute a cheap watch they don't make because they have a good distribution network, and the shops advertising the cheap watch online tell you it is a Rolex when it is not.
Not Recommended for Travel
May 15, 2016
Do not get this bench if you are planning to travel with it. To adjust the height will take a number of steps of unscrewing the lock from the cross (x). Also, to collapse this bench into flat position you have to screw/unscrew at a couple of places. Not that big a deal for some people, but I was expecting an easy 2 second process (similar to adjusting height on typical keyboard stands) which this bench does not have.If you plan to have it sitting in just one place then this should be ok. Also, the seat isn't that comfortable.
Incorrect Measurements
January 29, 2016
The stool is a good quality and looks nice. I'm thoroughly disappointed, however. I bought this because of the adjustable height. I need a 17 or 17 1/2 inch stool for my nine-year-old cello-playing daughter. At the lowest setting, it measures 19 inches from the seat to the floor. It's not worth sending it back, but now I'm stuck with a stool that's worthless to me.
Shennanigans! NOT a Yamaha product!
November 28, 2015
Shenannigans!! This is NOT a Yamaha product as the listing would lead you to believe. It's a generic off-brand bench. Buyer beware. It's relatively cheap and I need it right away, so I'm not going to bother to return it. But the listing needs to be amended to reflect the truth. If you are buying this expecting traditional Yamaha professional quality, look elsewhere.

Nicely made pedal but it is not compatible with our Casio digital keyboard. Works backwards. (Sustains when just plugged in and stops when you press the pedal). Should say what brands this works with as it implies it works with all.

Well built. Be warned: there is a compatibility issue that prevents this expression pedal from working properly with M-Audio, Roland, and earlier Nord Electro keyboards. You will have to either resolder the wiring yourself (thus voiding any warranty) or purchase an adapter for about 20 bucks. Ridiculous that this is not mentioned in the product description.
Too Noisy
March 1, 2016
The pedal itself works fine, but the actual mechanics of pressing and releasing the pedal make a lot of noise. It might be ok for performances with an amp and an audience, but for classical piano in my living room it was excessive and distracting. After using this pedal for a bit I ended up purchasing Yamaha LP7A Keyboard Foot Pedal Unit. I've found it to be nearly silent so I'm much happier with that.

This is an original Yamaha product. However the rubber protector from the upper part does not fit into the lower part causing a split off of the upper rubber. Only in “seat position” it works well, but not so in the “stand position”. This gave me a disenchantment, because the rest is a solid and firm construction.
Didn't work for my application.
July 10, 2014
It may only work with a Yamaha keyboard. Most foot switches have a "normally open" set of contact. That is to say; when you step on the switch the contacts close. This foot switch is the opposite. On my Casio keyboard this results in getting a sustained note continuously, unless you step on the pedal. This would mean having to continuously depress the pedal while playing unless you wanted a sustained note(s) or other foot operated functions. I returned it.

Do Not Buy
March 28, 2017
Do not buy.For the following reasons I will tell everyone I know not to buy this item:1. Assembly should have been easy; I have put together dozens of these stands, however, the colored stickers on this particular stand, per instructions, did not line up. Unacceptable.2. Tried to force the colored piece ends together and bent all the pieces and cut my hand. Unacceptable.I am returning this item. Do not buy.

Awful bench - returned
September 29, 2017
I used this bench for a few days, shipped it back and ordered the one linked below. The bench was overall just too small and not firm enough which made my back and shoulders ache after sitting there for any length of time. Really love the new one. Yes, it's more expensive but totally worth paying extra. I sat and played for over 2 hours one night this week with no problems at all.On Stage KT7800 Plus Padded Keyboard Bench
Not well made.

The legs didn't fit into the grooves under the seat. I would have returned it but my son jerry-rigged it.
Dangerously-poor construction
December 19, 2016
Poorly engineered; loose fittings and moorings for legs-to-bench attachments. Constantly had to tighten bolts and screws for legs which ultimately tore away from wood bench in less than a month. Dangerous seating for player.
This is not a Yamaha bench

This is not a Yamaha bench. It's imported by a company in CT from China, and the distributed by Yamaha. Yamaha does not produce this bench.
Like L. Jarlot
September 24, 2015
Like L. Jarlot, I recieved a generic brand bench. I also ordered the Yamaha PKBS1 Single Braced Adjustable X-Style Keyboard Stand, and it was a generic brand as well. There are many other brands out there that cost the same, or LESS than the "YAMAHA" brand, but I spent the extra money because I wanted and trust the YAMAHA brand name. I am not going to return the products because they are not bad quality. I am just dissapointed that they are being advertised as "YAMAHA" products
Yamaha sells generic

The bench is advertised as a Yamaha bench, but delivered a china made and distributed by Yamaha. This is a thick advertise. In my understand is a cheating.

Doesn't work. By the time we were able to test it we're no longer able to return it.

It is extremely difficult to set the volume level, seems to be a small distance on the pedal from loud to very soft. The old Yamaha volume pedal which I stupidly included when I sold a previous Yamaha keyboard worked much better. I've just set it aside, worthless

November 8, 2016
Be advised: This sustain pedal does not have a polarity switch. This means that its polarity will be reversed for some keyboards (like mine... a Casio electric piano, as well as my Alesis VI61 MIDI controller). Basically, when you don't have the pedal pressed, it will sustain your notes... and when you press it, your notes will be unsustained (cut short). So the reverse of the sustain may happen, depending on your keyboard.

Yes, I tried several online remedies, however, to now avail.
Stopped working after one gig.
November 9, 2014
I'd give zero stars if it were possible.

Unfortunately for me I didn't work this into my rig until a month or two after I bought it; I did test it out to make sure it worked with my keyboards (a Kurzweil pc3 and Roland vr-700). I used it at one gig, worked fine. I bought it to toggle the leslie speed on the Roland primarily, and the next gig it simply didn't work. I tried it with the pc3 as well to make sure it wasn't a problem with the Roland, but no dice there either. So I paid quite a bit for a leslie toggle switch for one gig, and my mistake for not gigging this dud right away (as then it would have been close enough to the date of purchase to return).

I'm very careful with my gear, there was nothing traumatic that happened to this pedal. It simply stopped working.
Triggers on release, not on press
May 27, 2014
I planned to use this as a Kick & Bass drum trigger for my Alesis PerformancePro Pad. The sounds didn't trigger until the press was released. So you'd have to press, then release to get your sound. Definitely not good for that usage.
