I have purchased raw pumpkin seeds/pepitas many times, but this is the first from this company. They were a better price for a bigger bag and I use them all the time in salads and making granola. This is a nice large, full bag with the seeds being somewhat plump. I like to keep nuts in the freezer to stay fresh longer.

These are some of the best tasting pumpkin seeds I've had. Very fresh and delicious! They seem much better tasting than what I was buying in the bulk foods section of local natural foods store. And the price is better too! The bag they come in is good quality and the ziplock works well to keep them fresh. The bag has a flat bottom so it will stand upright without tipping over - that is handy, you can open the bag and scoop the contents out without worrying the bag will tip over.

I order nuts from this company whenever I can afford nuts. their macademias and cashews are superlative, and these pepitas were very good, as well. but pepitas start turning bitter after they're shelled, so I don't order them very often. I will most definitely be ordering from We Got Nuts again, but the next order will be for either macadamias or cashews. my weaknesses...

Yum, yum! These are awesome seeds! I got a 4 lb bag and was surprised that none were broken (maybe once I get to the bottom I'll f some...). Not only do they look good, but they taste amazing. I don't know if they're organic or not, but they're seeds inside a giant pumpkin, so they cannot get chemicals on them. My husband has a nut allergy and he eats them without a problem. I don't know if they're produced in a GMP facility, if you have a serious nut allergy, you may want to find out. Personally, I don't think it's necessary to pay double for organic pumkin seeds, but maybe worth it to pay more for non-irradiated, and nut free!

I needed raw pumpkin seeds to use in gluten-free cookies, but my kids have peanut/nut allergies so I had to find peanut/nut-free too. These worked great! I ground them in a coffee grinder to make flour and the cookies were fantastic. Will definitely be ordering from Gerb's again.

As a mom to a child with severe peanut and tree nut allergies, it was quite challenging to find raw pumpkin seeds that were free of allergen cross-contamination concerns (the same is true for raw sunflower seeds, something I also purchased from Gerbs). The pumpkin seeds worked wonderfully and tasted great in the recipes where I needed/wanted raw seeds -- our bag emptied too quickly! It's a relief to find another source for safe, allergy-friendly food for our family. Gerbs also is great to work with; one of our bags arrived to our home already opened, spilling most of the bag of seeds inside the packing box. Gerbs responded immediately to my e-mail by shipping a new bag via priority mail.

I'm a male in my 60's, and I recently developed prostate problems. Well, I researched the internet, and I found out that sunflower seeds are highly recommended to help alleviate this problem. So I purchased your product, and I'm happy to report that I'm doing much, much better. And on top of that I discovered that sunflower seeds are delicious! So I'll definitely be reordering more Food to Live Organic Raw Sunflower Seeds in the future.

I'm trying to improve my health by including raw foods. Seeds and nuts are the best source of protein as well as tryptophan (boosts serotonin which is produced in the gut). These taste fresh and can be used in myriad ways. I mix mine with coconut flakes, organic honey, raw pepitas, raw pecans, a dash of salt and organic coconut oil. Great for snacks!

Great gluten free snack for home or on the go. Helps get me between meals when I need a snack. A big plus is that the bag is resealable.I also like the benefits of eating raw nuts and seeds. I have heard that individuals who consume them on a regular basis enjoy a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes.

If you need milk for example protein drink, it is perfect run through blender and you get the nutrition without the sugar or cost of ready made. Many protein drinks are to low in fat for some people and this is an healthy way to get the fat you need.

EASILY roasted! Put them in a skillet over medium heat, and stir very frequently until lightly browned. NO SALT NECESSARY. i keep a supply of roasted sunflower kernels and eat them with figs, dates, cornbread, buttered kavli crisp bread, salad - you name it.

Bought these to make raw pate with, soaked them and they sprouted perfectly.

I gave 4 stars because they are great pumpkin seeds however the bag sent to me had no design like the one advertised. Not even the same bag. Just a clear stiff plastic bag with a label. Very misleading.

Wow, this is a big bag of pumpkin seeds! Fresh and tasty, excellent quality. Quick shipping. I like to sprinkle on salads and soups... include in homemade trail mix. You can also blend them and make dips and sauces out of them like pesto.

Grown in China so they may contain poisons. The best defense I've got is to wash them in hot water and let them dry on plates over a period of several days. They taste great, at any rate, and they're suppose to be very healthy. I can't say that my health has improved, but it hasn't suffered either.

Just got them and I have to put them away in a hurry. These are among the best raw pumpkin seeds I've ever had. Exceptionally fresh tasting! I would caution, however, that the seeds I received had a warning, "May contain Traces of Peanuts And/Or Tree Nuts." Since I have no nut allergies, not a problem for me.It is extremely hard to find pumpkin seeds at this price in any grocery store. They are so outrageously expensive around here, that this is a godsend for me. Now I just have to get control over myself with them..Second batch not as good, deducting a star based on it.

My daughter eats more of these than I do because my teeth don't chew very well, but I do know they are good for me and I often use my nut chopper on them so I can eat more. Flavor is good, and it's been awhile but as I remember the price was satisfactory. I most likely will order more at some later date. I keep most of them in the freezer to stay fresh. Reasonably fresh flavor, a little bitter. I like them mixed with edamame and other nuts and seeds as a snack.

Very wholesome and fresh product. Low cal and satisfying snack. Use it also in salads with or without nuts. Since nuts are increasingly expensive, these seeds are a nice substitute!

This probably was the easiest way to get sunflower seeds but what we didn't realize is that they don't have any flavor when they are raw.We sometimes like honey roasted peanuts, for instance. I don't think we'd purchase them raw again, but this was a great deal for how much we received.So We probably would buy another version or flavor if it came out.

I got these to grind and add to bread recipes. I'm really enjoying the results. Can't wait to try them in homemade breakfast bars.

3.5 Pretty good. Not as great as the fresh shelled tasting ones I can often get from my nearest whole foods. But probably as good as you'll get from about anywhere else. A LOT better than the rancid ones I got from my local grocer. Shudder. Anyway...I would order again. NOT RANCID.... that's a big deal. If I'd never had the great tasting ones, I would have given these a 4 or 4.5 for delivery to my door. MUST have my pumpkin seeds.

Definitely took away stars for different Nutrition Facts listed here than what's listed on my bag which is also pictured different here. Although the nuts are good, I expected them to taste fresher.😞😐

Decided that I really don't like the raw pumpkin seeds kernels, but roasted them a few at a time with (with no salt), and are now delicious. Will purchase them roasted next time.

I had got my bag of pumpkin seeds today they taste good,BUT One thing i read on the bag and my packing slip that they are chinese Pepitas,if i had known i would not have ordered this product.They say it is made in USA,,,,BEWARE,and there is no exp.date anywhere.

I wanted to try these to see if they actually do help bring down my pressure,as a snacking alternative. But i really can't tell because i still eat anything i want plus the sunflower seeds. They have no salt on them either.., So i'll just shut my mouth from here on in,because it's the salt on them that make these seeds delicious had they had any.

Taste seems a bit off, like there might be an additive somewhere in the production line. Also a bit greasy on the fingers.

I expected roasted and salted seeds, these are okay but i will not purchase this kind again,

Product likely 5 stars; however, the bag we received had a large slash (perhaps knife cutter) such that the product was open and spilling out. We ate it anyway, but didn't feel great about that. Thanks.

They say their products are organic, but I think I've spent close to 100 dollars on not certified organic products, and I don't know what the story behind the brand is.They are "organic" in so far as they are grown from the earth. God only know what kind of insecticide load and pesticide load these contain, and no information is given on why we should trust this brand and their products.Seems to me to be misleading labeling. By this company's definition, just about everything is "organic." Like "natural."I don't think anything this company sells is certified organic, it's merely labeled organic, with no certification. While I understand that the certification process is expensive, the company also gives no information as to WHY they are selling these as organic other than they are a grown food.(Eden Organics, for example, doesn't have certification, but they work directly with farmers and tell you that; at least they give you a reason.)Very conflicted about these products. I ordered 3 different brands of pumpkin seeds at the same time to test brands. out of the 3 these were the worst. small, different unappetizing dolors mixed in. brown, white, many completely flat.there is even a strange disclaimer on pkg - these are being allowed to be sold under the green bulk name. it doesnt say that now, but it did when I ordered it.even though there is a slightly bitter taste I am eating them, but now I know how big and beautiful they can be - vitamin store initials P's P.

These aren't like the last two bags I ordered. The previous two bags were fresh and tasty. These are dry and tasteless. Total different companies. Won't be buying again.

Chinese stuff has a fishy smell after few weeks, so please do not buy it. I made a mistake please do not repeat it.

I was told that these could be eaten raw, but I became very ill from eating them that way. This product is definitely not for me. It might just be a case of people's bodies being able to handle different things...I'm not sure because it's the first time I've ever eaten raw pumpkin seeds. They did have a slight musty scent to them. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be that way or not, but I won't be buying them again. I was just way too sick after eating them...didn't feel better until 5 days later.

bland strange taste . Have not had any more after first trying them. Will probably throw the rest out. Would not recommend this product!!!

The seeds in good shape, crunchy but taste old.

Have purchased these multiple times in smaller packages, and was always very happy with the product. After the price increased 15% I bought a larger size package for better pricing. Big mistake. These seeds were not even close to the quality I was used to getting. Extremely small seeds, many broken seeds, and shells! I had never seen shells in the bag before, as well as unshelled seeds. Not a good snacking experience. Disappointed with the brand for sure.

Tasted a bit stale to me.

A lot of foreign particles and bad seeds. Would be nice if I cd find consistent sproutable sunflower seeds.

It doesn't say anywhere that the product is from China. What it says is that it is manufacturated in USA. The package is different than the one shown in the pictured. It looks like a generic product.

I'm giving them 1 star because the pumpkin seeds that I received came in a clear plastic generic bag and says "Made in China". I've ordered from this company before and been always happy with their nuts. However, the bag always looks like the one in the picture and it says "Made in USA". So I was surprised when this odd one came yesterday. I've asked for a refund.

I absolutely love pumpkin seeds so I decided to try these out and I received them today, opened them up to give them a try and they were awful! I'm used to eating raw almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, etc but these just have an awful taste to them!

I was very excited to start shipping pumpkin seeds to my house as I eat them as a part of a naturopath's prescription daily. A plan to good to be true - I shouldn't have depended on a food through the mail. I ordered multiple items in one ship from Amazon, the others were fine but there were holes all in the bag of pumpkin seeds. Replacing the item isn't even an option on the returns list - I have to box it myself, go to a library to print my label since I don't have a printer, and then drive the UPS store to mail it. Should've just bought them from the store in the first place.

When I ordered these, it said they were Gerbs brand. Gerbs is known for their allergy friendly products. When it arrived, it came with a receipt from East Empire, and had no label on it. It looked like they substituted generic. We specifically wanted Gerbs due to a nut allergy in the family.FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NUT ALLERGIES, BEWARE, THESE MAY NOT REALLY BE GERBS BRAND, AS ADVERTISED, SO THEY MAY NOT BE NUT FREE!! It appears they are substituting for a generic product from East Empire. They also do not taste as good.It appears they might have changed the description to say they come from East Empire some of the time, but it is deceptive because it still says Gerbs (which it is not) and nut free (which it may not be - the seller had no idea when I called them). Also, it seems when I reload the page, sometimes it says it is fulfilled by Gerbs and sometimes it says East Empire, but it is East Empire.I'd give them zero stars if I could, as they not only did a bait and switch and sent a different product than I ordered, but also, then they made me pay to return it -- which cost as much as the product itself!! And it's dangerous to advertise as nut free when the product is not.

I received a 2lb bag of Pumpkin Seed Kernels very quickly, but the clear sealed bag had no UPC code, no name, no sticker to identify that it was a Gerbs product. Gerbs is known for their allergy friendly products, which is important to us with multiple food allergies in the family. When I contacted East Empire to inquire why Gerbs was not on the bag or on the receipt, they quickly responded to dispose of the Pumpkin Seeds, they will refund my money due to the fact that they just don't know where the Pumpkin Seeds came from. They had no idea if they were actually from Gerbs or some other company, when the Amazon web page clearly indicated, still does, that they were supposed to be a Gerbs prdoduct sold by East Empire. The service was prompt, but I feel tricked by the seller into buying what I thought to be a safe product, and receiving sometimg else instead. All I wanted was a safe product for my family as advertised. UPDATE: I've ordered pumpkin seeds couple more times since, but made sure the product AND the shipper are GERBS! Packages have been clearly marked and delicious.

kay I'm going to be honest.. I love sunflowers and I usually buy from local coop. I decided to buy some from you because it's cheaper...However. After two times eating it. I had exposure diahrea. I thought I was getting ill or something. Or was it food poisoning. I ate sunflowers again had diarrhea again... and it from that.. Unfortunately I can not give a positive feedback from this product at this time... I had to throw away before my kids could get into it I didn't want to get them sick will not buy again

Arrived with the bag split open - sunflower seeds all over the box. No protection at all inside the box. I don't think I want to eat something from a bag with a hole in it. I ordered these online to save time - not worth it to me to send it back.

Unfortunately I discovered these come from China. I have a hard time believing that these are genuinely organic. China is grossly polluted and I do not trust their products. I will not buy these again.

As other reviewers have mentioned, it was listed as being grown in China on the 50 lb bag (I got the 4 lb bag). Please be honest and add the country it's grown in to the label.

Might be a bad time of year because of long storage of the sunflower seeds by the distributor, but when I tasted them I found all seeds to be tasteless and very dry. They were so dry that when chewing they pierced the roof of my mouth. I snack on sunflower seeds DAILY, really, and never tried this company before so thought I'd order for convenience. Really disappointed, now have to go to our organic grocery store or try another brand on Amazon. Did get a credit okay. With all the positives written on this brand I'm sure I just got a 'older' batch. Wanted to love 'em, but...
