This is a good adhesive for my daughter's homeschool and craft projects, which are mostly paper. When used carefully, there's minimal mess and a strong bond. The disappearing purple color lets my daughter see how much she is using and where she is applying it, which is useful for a child who is still learning how to use glue correctly. Sometimes the purple disappears a little TOO quickly, mainly on large projects, so she can't tell whether or not she has covered the piece fully. This is a fairly minor issue, though, as I'm there to help her. I think we have enough glue to last the whole school year.

I ordered these glue sticks for back to school because they were on sale for $1 for 6 glue sticks. My kids are starting middle school and high school this year so thank goodness they don't need the mile long list of classroom supplies anymore but glue sticks always come in handy sop this way I have a nice little stash for those last minute projects. These are the kind that start purple and dry clear so you can better see how much glue you are putting where which is a feature I think is so smart. It really helps to limit the clumping and bubbling that happens when you get too much glue in one spot. There is not too much more I can say about glue sticks but I wanted to take a moment to write this review because I ordered a few other sweet deals on school supplies that were supposedly shipping from China or somewhere so the delivery was like a month and after waiting all that time they never arrived. But these actually got here. Yay! Pleasant surprise! So I wanted to say thanks! This was a good deal!

Elmers is my go to glue for my children. I have been purchasing Elmers glue for the past twenty years for all three of my children ages 24, 21, and my six year old whom I buy for now. The formula has changed a bit over the years but still my trusted brand because it's non toxic. The purple glue sticks are ingenious for children when they put the glue on their project its purple so they can see where it is and where its needed. When it dries it is completely clear and holds strong. I purchased the six pack of purple glue sticks for my six year old for home and school. You can not go wrong with Elmers glue, it's non toxic, washable, and affordable.

I’m not going to talk about the obvious with these Elmer’s All Purpose School Glue Sticks. Do they stick? Yes. Are they easy to wash off hands and clothes? Hands down. Non-toxic and acid-free? Of course. No, what truly sets these glue tubes above the rest in my humble opinion is that cute bull cartoon proudly displayed above such a respected name in the adhesive’s industry. I can’t get enough of Elmer the Bull. I’m not saying I’d want him as a pet, but if I did, Kansas City would be the place to keep him. Why? Because KC has the world’s largest concentration of animal health industry assets in segments spanning food safety, pet care, and animal science. I love Kansas City for that reason among many, and I know Elmer would too.

This "bulk" quantity is perfect for someone like me who does a lot of shipping. I can print my labels on plain paper and use this adhesive to affix them to the respective packages. The purple color is quite useful to tell where the adhesive has and has not been applied. The price, I felt, was fair since I live in a rural area and trips to the store are inconvenient at best.

We have a brand new kindergartener! So that means mountains of glue sticks will be sacrificed this year. This is the best deal I've found. I've bought 2 boxes so far and plan on more. I want to give them out instead of candy for class parties.Kindergarten never has enough so make a teacher happy and pick some up to donate. They shouldn't have to spend their own money and school funding probably isn't getting better any time soon.

Saw these on sale and it was a great deal!!! Gave them to my kids teachers- off brand glue sticks don't always work well but these are great!!! My order came promptly in 2 days and I would definitely reccomend these over any other brand of glue stick- they work very well!!

This is a great deal on Elmer's glue and was a nice surprise for my grandson's teacher. I asked his teacher what something was that she could use for the classroom as an extra item to make things easier for her and better for the kiddos and her response was that they could always use glue sticks.There are 15 kids in his classroom so I figured this would last them for most of the school year and at that price you can't beat it. Way cheaper than purchasing in the stores in smaller packs.They are still in brand new condition and glide across the paper so they are not dried out at all. I am super happy about these and will be purchasing more as the teacher runs out. Easy way to give back to the classroom and make things better for the teacher and the students.

Can one ever have too many glue stick? When you have 3 children with 2 of them in grade school and 1 of them wanting to glue something on everything every day then the answer is NO. I bought this Box of glue stick right before school let out to glue things to my daughter's student council posters. Since she was running for student council vice president she had to make some posters, some of the letters we had bought her had glue on them, but it was only at the top, like how sticky notes are, with the glue sticks we were able to glue the letters down completely. I love the glue sticks because they are less messy, my wish is that they made these in a narrow tip so you can write with them and put glitter on it.

the grandkids love these purple glue sticks. the glue sticks came just in time for school beginning. they like seeing it go on purple. we did a project and the Elmer's glue worked like it was suppose to for us and our project. we would order again.

Nice big pack of good glue sticks...my 4 year old is going through an arts and crafts phase and I needed glue sticks in bulk! This fits the bill and keeps him happy for a few weeks! Certainly works well for papers. Haven't used it on much else.

Purchased this for my son’s fiancée’s second youngest daughter. When she’ enrolled in school here (she started the school year in another state . She was very pleased with the school supplies I got from Amazon – and so was I -quality products at a reasonable price!

This is today's gold standard for grade-school adhesion. True, it is not terribly adhesive, but when you're dealing with Pre-K, K and 1st graders that's not a bad thing. The nouns stick in the noun column and the verbs stick in the verb column long enough to get the worksheet checked off. It is certainly "disappearing"-- I cannot even count how many times I've asked "where is your glue stick?"-- so buying this six-pack helps. Some families discover that this glue stick both Tastes Great AND is Less Filling, so thankfully it (unlike Miller Lite) is non-toxic. .

I have a love-hate relationship with glue sticks. They never hold quite as much as I'd like and it can be tough to get the glue where you want it; despite the stick, the glue tends to ball up here and there and not cooperate.That being said, as far as glue sticks go, these are pretty good. I like that they rub off purple so you can see where you have and have not glued. It helps to be a bit more thorough.

This product is available at my local supermarket for about 50 cents less, but that is not a big deal.The glue stick is perfect for kids' projects and the purple color turning clear is really neat. It's great that many come to a pack as kids will lose these all over the place.You can't go wrong with Elmer's anything and the price is fair enough for these to warrant getting them here on amazon!

These are good for kids. My sons use them to glue all their activities. These are the only brand I will buy. These sticks are small, but they are at great deal when I bought them.

Purple glue, don't know how I was able to survive my childhood crafts without this! We use this at work to seal envelopes. ( you should not use saliva) It helps to know where the glue is, working with it can be messy!

They are clear & not the purple that turns clear, which is what I was expecting. However they are working as intended for English paper piecing. I tried the more expensive refills for the glue pens (Fons & Porter) & found these to be no different & much less expensive.

I always buy these for my son's school donation. I'm not sure about the quality of the glue sticks because I don't get to actually use them, but my son's teacher seems to like them. I did open one cap to see if the glue is dry, and it wasn't.

I got these to donate to my child's teachers. These are just a 30 pack of elmers stick glue. I had no issues with them at all. I checked them all out. Nothing strange or abnormal. It is elmers glue so not much I can say about it. It was a good price for a 30 pack. I paid full price for this product and this is my honest and unbiased review.

They are glue. They make stuff stick. Work great for gluing things into sixth grade interactive science notebooks. I do wish the formula was slightly firmer to promote conservation. Thirty sticks allow for approximately fifteen sixth grader applications. Last way longer if you closely monitor usage and give a mini lesson on the light-swipe-outline method.

I use glue sticks for my 3d printing and these are ill-suited. They are the tiny ones, so I ran through most of them very quickly.

dries up fast when you are working with it. It makes working with a toddler a bit difficult because by the time we applied the glue to the bottom of the page, the glue on top was already dry.

Not as sticky as I thought it would be. I was making cash envelopes but had to use tape this the stock paper I used was not holding down. Maybe thin white paper is what it will workon?

It leaves globs, doesn't spread smoothly. Sticks ok tho.

Box only came with 58 glue sticks, box was open and glue sticks were rolling around in a huge shipping box.The glue is great, shipping was bad.

The glue didn't hold and most glue sticks had a limited amount of glue. I teach kindergarten and first graders so glue sticks that meet there standards are important.

I use interactive notebooks in my classroom. We go through a lot of glue sticks. I bought this just before Christmas 2016. In a notebook check a week later, students papers were not sticking to the pages at all. I am saddened and wasted money on this! Believe me, the students used plenty of glue, but it just did not stick in the long term. Going to try the non-disappearing and see if that works better. Stay tuned!

These gluesticks are good for the money, I guess, but the glue doesn't hold well. It's not sticky going on, and it dries out without sticking things together

Just ok. Dries so fast, the kids can barely get their papers together fast enough. Then, once they are together, papers pop off & won't stay stuck together. Takes A LOT of glue to get things glued properly. I have since purchased Elmer's Extra Strength glue sticks, which are much better.

Price was fine and we needed MANY glue sticks for 1st grade. Well, the box arrived and this Elmer's glue stick box was not taped shut or anything. Sure enough when I opened the box, it looked like glue sticks were missing. Sure enough, 4 of them were.But I guess opportunity makes for thieves, and since the box was not taped shut, it is quite easy for some sticks to go missing somewhere between production and shipping...

The purple marks take to long to dissapear if ever. I wish I could return this item. Pretty sure a bought it months ago. Love Elmers products, maybe mine had I small problem with product. But would hope to use elmets glue and give reviews on new products. My orginsl review, I had not tested product yet. Just assumed Elmer products eye great ad never experienced and issue with products I use for OT session with 3-5?years old.

Is it me, or does the purple stick glue not as effective as the regular stick glue. I bought these school supplies and saved a couple for myself and I don't really care for the purple disappearing stuff...like it disappears and doesn't stick. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of glue? I'll stick with Elmer's original glue sticks over these ones.

Days to fast

These are just not all that sticky. They dry too fast and are frustrating to use. After drying quickly the glue just doesn't hold.

We used it for our art projects on construction paper and it doesn't even stick. Disappointed in the quality. Definitely has changed since I was younger.

They don't stick well unless you use a lot and they tend to leave globs of glue on the paper. It does dry clear through. There are better out there. Will not buy again.

It was fantastic to get so many glue sticks for such a great price the only problem was the glue does not actually stick very well and I found myself run the glue stick over things so many times I just decided to use tape.

For the 30 glue sticks I only received 27. The 27th stick did not have a top and was completely dried out. Very disappointed. Very hard to open the packageging because all the sticks were swirling around in the plastic.The crayons were loose in the box and several tips were broken. The bottom of the box has been "colored" from sliding around in shipping.

I use glue sticks to adhere my homemade pop up books and cards. This one doesn't adhere nearly as well as some others!? Frustrating!

The glue doesn't work very well. I teach preschool and the children are often frustrated using these. I will go back to the Scotch brand next time.

Very small and the glue does not work well at all. We have to put a lot of glue and it still doesn't always hold well - and this is on paper.

Glue didn't stick at all. See it but the sticking part disappeared all together. Disappointing. Had to spent additional money buying the regular Elmer glue stick which worked.

I'm not sure if I got a defective batch, or if this stuff just does not work. Both my son and I have used this on several projects, and it doesn't stick!While it is nice that the glue goes on with a purple tint to allow you to see it, it's useless since nothing sticks to it.I expect better from Elmers.

These were the worst glue sticks I have ever purchased. Nearly every one broke and was unusable.

The package came with ten glue sticks missing. So I only got 20 instead of the 30.

I was really disappointed. These are the small narrow glue sticks. I need bigger glue sticks for my second grader. Very disappointed indeed that I had to purchase additional glue sticks for this school year.

What happened to Elmers glue sticks? They run out so quickly. Chunks of glue come off when you use them. My students only get one or two uses out of them. Not the quality I grew up with.

I bought this to use in my classroom. All my students have an interactive notebook, which requires a lot of cutting and gluing worksheets and foldables. I am not sure if i just so happened to receive a defective box, but the glue does not keep my students worksheets or foldables on the page. Students are always having to apply more glue to previously glued entries. Very disappointed.

Disappointed - product arrived with not all of the "60" glue sticks included. I actually counted because part of the box looked empty. I ordered 2 boxes of these glue sticks and each box was short.
