Yay, it's Glue...Stick Glue. You apply to on piece of paper and stick it to another piece of paper and let it dry. Now you have two pieces of paper stuck to each other for life.

Works fine. My kid likes this product. The color fades away and leaves behind no hint of it. Easy to see when you have apply the glue.

Great for sealing envelopes

Like these better than Elmers mainly because you can see how much is left in the glue stick as you use it (it has a clear inner body). That let's me know before the kids complain if I should be hunting a new one. Work great. Like the purple tint showing where the glue has been applied; dries clear.

An excellent add on buy for my kids teachers! I love the color that disappears as the glue dries, it is a great teaching tool for kids to know where the glue goes and to not have to use a ton of glue. I gave a box to each teacher and they were stoked. I will be buying these again for them when they run out, you should too!Avery is well known to the educators as making a good consistent product that kids age 5 and up can easily use. The cap is simple to take on and off and it is easy to dial up the tube for more of less as needed.

These are the best glue sticks I have ever used. I sell hundreds of items a month online and use these glue sticks to secure all of my shipping labels. The glue is super sticky and goes on purple so you know where you put it. In addition, it dries fast - like within 30 seconds fast. So make sure that you put it on quick and secure your items in place. Once it dries, this glue sticks. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs good glue. It is highly worth the extra money.

I mean....what can you say about glue? As long as it sticks and doesn't cost a lot you've got a great product!

Avery glue sticks work, AND you get a Box Top for Education on each package.The purple makes it easier to see where you have applied the glue, which is helpful particularly with our youngest "artist."Multi-stick package was a good value during Back-to-School sales.

It dies very quickly.

We have been working with my daughter on her letters and numbers and this glue stick has been great for making little test pages. We glued pictures to a piece of poster board and then she has to put the letter it starts with next to it. Works great.

I needed a stick glue when I was making holiday cards this year (heavy weight paper on heavy weight paper) without the glue showing through. This fit the bill awesomely. My only problem is I could not find this in stores (Jo-annes / Michaels) and there didn't seem to be a larger stick as I went through this one pretty quickly. As this was an add-on item at the time of purchase, I didn't have enough items later on to buy another stick. It also seemed to take more glue to stick than the Elmer's version (which was not as awesome). If you are looking for a good, and cheap, stick glue, this fits the bill perfectly. Just make sure to buy extra!

It's so much better to know where the glue is than not. Such a simple thing and so useful.

Works as intended, just deducted a star because it came with glue around the stick itself so it's almost impossible not to get it on your hands when you twist it to extend the glue out more.

Avery products are great, works well and good adhesion to paper

The glue in these sticks really sticks. I've used others that once they dried, things wouldn't stay glued on. So, far these have worked well. I also like the color of the glue so you can see the coverage.

The glue dries very quickly, sometimes before I can connect the two surfaces. But it holds well and is very easy to see on the paper. The summer heat seems to make the glue very soft, and it can clump on the paper, requiring smoothing out before adhering to the other surface, which gives it more time to dry prematurely.

Easy to use by adults, but kids seem to have difficulty adjusting to the mechanics of this glue stick and tend to waste a great deal amount of glue (glue being pushed through the tube, similar to the old form of glue that we squeeze the tube to push glue out, seem to be a foreign concept to the students because they probably were used to the newer model of glue sticks in which we twist the tube to raise the glue out of the stick).

Small little sticks but less to dry out when the cap goes MIA

I use these glue sticks for craft projects and find them to be almost as good quality as Elmer's for about one third the price. The Avery glue is a bit "gloppier" and less even as it goes on than the Elmer's is, but works just about as well.My biggest qualm about this product is the design of the glue stick container itself. The "cap" isn't just a twist off cap on the top of the glue stick. The cap is as long as the barrel of the tube itself, and it is cumbersome design that is a bit annoying to deal with if you have to remove and replace the cap often, as you do with many craft projects.All in all, despite the design of the tube, these are a great value and I would recommend them to others.

This glue wasn't very good. Quality of stickiness was lacking.

it doesn't work that well. this might be good for the kids but i bought it to repair my son's book sand elmers white glue, the messy stuff, just works better. this just didn't do the trick though it's easy to work with.

It's okay. It works as you'd expect a glue stick to work. I tested it out on various transparent materials to see if it does dry clear, but it definitely leaves a decent amount of visible residue.

I wish I could just say "Hey, it's a glue stick, what more could you want?"But it's just annoying that the first time I twist it up then back down to put away, the stick breaks halfway and gets stuck rendering the twisty thing useless. It's 2015, is there not a better method?

Nice little glue for a good price. Small size makes it very handy. But the glue stick became dry within a few months.

My fault for not reading the fine print. I expected the larger gluestick for this price.

The glue works. It turns paper yellow after a few days though.

Bought these for my children's classrooms. I didn't like that the glue had an expiration date. I have used Elmer's glue sticks in the past and never seen or had an issue with the glue drying out as long as the caps were tight.

its getting dry without any using after 6 month .... just i want to get rid of it .... not gonna buy this brand anymore....

I have my students glue papers into their journals pretty often. The glue is pretty soft, so many of my students in my classroom wasted a lot of it as chunks of it would stick to their papers when they twisted too much or pushed too hard. Otherwise, it's fine for those with less heavy hands.

I got through tons of glue sticks in my in-home daycare so when I saw this pack and for such a cheap price I was excited. The kids prefer the purple so they can see where they already put glue and I prefer the price. I bought a different brand purple kind in the past and it was a bit more expensive, but after using these I much prefer the other brand. The other brand has a short cap to open it while this one is a really long cap, taking most of the stick and glue gets all over the handle because of it...it's a terrible design and kids get glue all over themselves because of it. When these run out I'm going to have to review the math and compare the costs to see if these are worth it or not...I'm thinking not. Keep in mine, I have kids 5 years & younger dealing w/ these, I would think w/ this design it doesn't matter the age of the child it would still be messy but I could be wrong.

There are + and - with this product. What I like, it goes on purple so you and kids can see where they glued. What I don't like about this product there is not a lot of glue in the stick. It seems you use it about 2x and then it is done. Also, the glue breaks easy. I used it once and then it broke.

One stick lasted me about a day. If you are planning on using it a lot I would check out other brands. If you just need it for something quick it should be fine since it works out okay, you just need to use a lot.

These get used up QUICK! You need a giant pack because you have to go through so many to finish a project. Will be trying a different brand next time.

I don't know if it was just the batch I got, but these are a sticky mess. Not solid like a glue stick should be. It kind of defeats the purpose of a glue stick to have it so gooey that it gets on their hands and doesn't apply evenly.

Just received these glue sticks today (08/18/2016.) I bought them for my preschooler, since he is supposed to bring 10 glue sticks- per his school supply list. Every single glue stick has the stamp "11/16," which tells me they all expire 3 months from now. I understand you need to get rid of inventory that is expiring, but at least give me half of a pack that doesn't expire so soon.

My kids all complained that the glue was awful, very sticky and hard to apply. They all wanted me to buy new glue but I told them not until we finish this big box. Frowns and nags all around. Oh well.

The glue stick is very soft so when the kids press to hard with it the stock loses its shape. This makes it hard to twist back down. They get very messy.

They are so soft which causes them to squish. They also tend to break off from the screw part so you can't twist them back down. We all know that kids always twist them up too high. They hardly lasted a week. Ugh!

Cheap. It went to the trash.

Doesn't hold anything. It was $89 cents and people said it was good so though I'd try it since it was so cheap. But it's not even worth the $89 cents. This should be discontinued. Not permanent at all.

I purchased this glue stick because it is advertised as being permanent. It's not. After a couple of hours of gluing paper to paper with it I could easily peel it right off. I re-glued it making sure I covered the entire item to be glued on, but again most of it could be peeled off after drying. Not so great when gluing shipping labels onto packages!

These became moldy (black mold) after a few months. I had to throw away 3 of them that were unused.

The product was very sticky and came off in clumps. Not usable for the kids or even adults. Reminded me of fresh taffy. We have used this product before and not had issues like this.

These glue sticks do not push up. You actually have to put your hands on the glue.
