car seat eh
October 16, 2016
1/3 the price of other car seats i have seen, kids loving the mini mouse theme, 3 car anchor straps plus room for seat belt for security, and all straps are easily adjustable
simply adorable and perfect for my 1 year old granddaughter
April 12, 2016
simply adorable and perfect for my 1 year old granddaughter. It was pretty easy to assemble and install thanks to the directions. I love the cup holders for her sippy cup! It has several adjustments for the seatbelt as the baby grows. It's good for up to 40 lbs. Right now, little Avery is a solid 20 lbs. so I imagine I can get another 2 years or so out of it before we have to go to a bigger seat. It doesn't lean back as much as the beginner carseats, it props them up a little so Avery is happy about that. She likes to look out the window and doesn't want to miss anything. It's also comfortable enough for her to snooze in :)
Great for 2 door cars/small back seats/bucket seats
April 6, 2016
I bought this seat largely due to the good reviews. I'm really glad I did. This seat was a breeze to install and is lightweight. My son is 14 months old and 26 lbs, we still rear face. I installed this seat in my husbands car which is a 2 door Camaro and it installed correctly without needing to use a rolled up towel. I really wanted a smaller seat because the other seat we have caused his passenger seat to be pushed all the way forward and it wouldn't lock into place. With this car seat we didn't have that problem. I plan on using it after he's 2 and we turn him around to forward facing. LOVE that it's Mickey Mouse and the price is also affordable.
... I saw it on sale and I couldn't be happier with it
January 25, 2016
I bought this seat when I saw it on sale and I couldn't be happier with it. The seat is well cushioned and material is easy to clean. It also doesn't take up as much space as the previous rear facing seat that we used. The only thing I could mark down for is that it is a tiny bit wider than I was expecting but I didn't feel like it was that big of an issue as it is no wider than any other car seat we have used. The straps are easy to adjust, it is cute and sleek, and it is very easy to get my son in and out which was a struggle with our previous seat. All around very nice product.
bought this for my daughter and she loves it!
January 9, 2016
I just bought this for my daughter and she loves it! Installing is easy, the Instructions in the booklet were very easy to follow and very helpful. I get so nervous when installing a car seat because even the smallest mistake can be life threatening in an accident. This actually is a much Hotter pink in person and I was so excited! Kind of wish the ear/bow pillow went up a little higher because my daughter is a little tall for it even on the highest inserts but thats not what really matters.Great Car seat and all my friends are Jealous especially my niece :) would recommend to anyone with a child that love Minnie!

great overall design and easy to switch between vehicles
August 9, 2017
This is a huge improvement over our previous car seats. Lots of incremental changes that add up to a nice product at a reasonable price point.
Pros:
-shoulder straps automatically adjust as height is adjusted on the head area
-kids love the storage area below the armrests (perfect for small toys)
-quick and easy to take off cover for cleaning. tip: helps if same person takes off covers as puts back on
-straps that tie seat to car are nice and long, makes moving between cars super easy and quick
-for those using a vehicle seatbelt, you run the belt in a nice gap behind the back area. It is extremely easy and a vast improvement from other models.

Cons:
-the only thing that I struggled with was adjusting the crotch buckle. This was an extremely difficult task on both seats (I bought 2), and one that's usually easy on other car seats we've had. The buckle had excess fabric on the strap which made moving the buckle position tough. It required using a small flathead screwdriver to apply downward pressure. You only have to move the buckle position once in a while, which I'm glad!
Excellent sturdy car seat with cup holder and two little ...
July 14, 2017
Excellent sturdy car seat with cup holder and two little storage cubbies on the side. We have 2 of them and both have held up very well. My 6 year old weighs 40 pounds and is 42 inches tall. He still uses the seat harness which he can open and close himself. I tried out a cheaper evenflo seat which wasn't nearly as sturdy, gets dirty easily, and had only a lap belt. The lap belt did not keep a 40lb kid secure and he couldn't reach it himself like the harness.

I highly re command this booster. I purchased this one open box and it came in better condition than the non open box from Wal-Mart.
Oh my gawd, Becky, look at that cup holder!
July 6, 2017
We have 2 of these (one each for a 4 year old and 3 year old), and they both love them. They are comfortable for the kids, I feel that they are safe riding in them, and the kids absolutely love the cup holder (and I love that it's built in and doesn't fall off like other seats we've had).

The versatility is great, I feel comfortable leaving my kids in the 5 point harness until they're big and tall enough to make the easy switch to the high back booster function!
Great Seat. Great Price.
March 14, 2017
My Daughter loved it so much we got another. Adjusting/moving the crotch strap can be maddening until you realize that you have to pull pressure from the top side and just start one end from underneath (into the slot) otherwise it bunches up and seems impossible. Lol I was ready to start slinging things then watched a YouTube video, then it was so easy it was embarrassing.
Awesome & COMFY seat with a great buckle!
April 7, 2016
We did a LOT of research for our son's seat. On paper many seats look great, but after feeling them in person we were able to narrow it down quickly. For me, it's all about safety (obviously) but also comfort. My little guy hates the car already so an uncomfortable seat is out of the question. This seat has the BEST padding. Many other car seats have a great insert but the padding on the actual seat is very disappointing. This seat is soft (almost like memory foam) on the actual seat and back. The insert is just bonus on top of that. Not to mention the fabric parts are easy to remove and machine washable.

Also, many other seats have a "mushy" clip, like it just kind of slides in and out and you really have to push the button down hard while sliding it with your thumb. This harness audibly clicks open and closed, very satisfying and easy to open with one hand.

A few reasons we went for the LX vs just the basic Nautilus 65: even better seat padding and the little pockets that hold your seat belts to either side so you can load baby without having to dig the seat belts out from under him, as well as the no-fuss height adjustment. Also, by purchasing an open-box model (which was completely new and perfect in all the packaging) we were able to get the LX for LESS than the basic 65.

Lastly, the recline is fantastic. It's not dramatic but it tips the seat back enough so my son is leaning back and his head can rest against the head supports, not fall forward. The seat itself fits great in the middle row of our minivan on one of the captain's seats. It doesn't block the "aisle" or stick out past the seat on any side.

We might remove the shoulder strap pads because they are a little cumbersome and make it a little hard to tighten the belt but they just Velcro right off. All materials and details are high quality and well-designed. This seat is perfect for us!

Awesome car seat
March 31, 2017
Awesome car seat. I bought it for traveling (lightweight) and as a back up. My only negatives would be 1. I don't think it really goes up to 40" height. My daughter is 36" and the straps are already at her shoulders. Since she faces forward, this seat will not last much longer for us :( 2. The straps do not glide well and they are definitely not long enough - it's really a tight squeeze everytime she gets in/out of the seat. Other than that though I love it. Great price. Easy to install. My daughter loves it too.
Great value
March 29, 2017
We bought this for my mom's car for when she watched our daughter. It's cute and lightweight, and easy to get her in and out. Installing the seat took more time and effort than installing our Britax, but at a fraction of the cost it is easy to overlook that.I wouldn't recommend this for people though who plan to take the seat in and out of their car often.
Great price, just what we need for a 2nd car
April 28, 2016
It is safe, it's just not as strong and heavy as the big luxury car-seats that are simply a luxury. Listen folks, if you think you have to buy a high end car-seat and that is the only thing that will keep your child safe, well then you are letting Big Baby Business take advantage of you. You can buy this cheap sucker that will do it's job, or you can buy a big, fat, heavy, overpriced car seat with padding and luxury meant for the Queen of England. Your choice. :)
Very nice and comfortable seat...don't forget the seat belt softeners
April 14, 2016
The seat is really nice and while some people complain that the ears don't stay put it's because they don't run the tabs to the back of the seat. My only complaint is that shortly after using the seat my daughter started developing a rash on the side of her neck which initially we thought it was due to milk drying there causing the rash. Even making sure that we cleaned her neck after every feeding the rash continued. It was not until we received the seat belt softeners that the rash went away. Wish the seat had come with softeners instead of pawning this issue on the consumer.
Overall - Nice carseat.
January 19, 2016
The seat is great. My 22 month old loves it. One thing to note, if you have the straps in the highest position, you cannot attach the Mickey shaped pillow. They would both be using the same openings and the pillow would impede the straps. I plan to attach it with Velcro or something similar. I wasn't thrilled with the packaging it arrived in. It was in the box you would get if you purchased in a store, which has pictures and description all the way around the box. It was delivered to my home and left on the front porch in the middle of the day like this. I would have preferred a plain box.
For the price this is a nice car seat
January 4, 2015
For the price this is a nice car seat. This was purchased for the grandparents vehicle out of town, so it will not be used regularly. I would not purchase this car seat for everyday use. It does not have a recline adjustment for forward facing or rear facing. Basically the base has two different sitting positions, one for forward facing and one for rear facing. The forward facing position sits in an upright position and the rear facing tilted back which is normally ideal though the degree which it is tilted is more for an infant than our 2 year old. With that being said, she did seem to be comfortable in the car seat, especially when sleeping. It does require a lot of backseat room when in the rear position. I cannot speak for the safety if involved in a crash for this car seat though it seems to be very similar in terms of restraint as other like car seats.

Love graco seats
April 15, 2017
Love graco seats. Upgraded my 2.5 year old to this from her convertible graco seat so our 8 month old could be moved from his baby carrier to the convertible seat. Our daughter loves her new seat and immediately started putting things in the cubby holes. Pattern is attractive and gender neutral. I only wish it wasn't as hard to tighten the harness strap, but I can live with it because I like the seat that much.
Great so far, will try to update once we transition to a booster
April 10, 2017
So far it's been pretty great. Set up/installation was relatively straightforward.

Pros:
3-in-1
Good sturdy design
Good cushioning

Cons:
Tightening the straps once the child is strapped in is surprisingly difficult. I can get over this by reaching behind and making sure everything pulls smoothly. This is the reason it's not 5 stars.
Good seat, easy install
December 28, 2016
This is a great seat for the price! Super easy to install, sturdy cup holder, storage compartments, and 100% washable fabric. I installed this seat in my '16 Mitsubishi Lancer, and it's a perfect fit. Our previous car seat was a Recaro Performance Ride (which we loved) but is an enormous seat and we reached the point where I could no longer get our daughter in the seat without hitting her head on the roof/door opening because that car seat is super tall! (Common complaint with that seat!) Anyway, other reviewers have dinged this seat stating they cannot get it secured in their vehicle, but it was a cinch in my car. I wonder if the other reviewers didn't know to switch the vehicle seat belt to the automatic rectractor function in order to keep the car seat tight?? In my car, it has the seat belts that can be switched over to automatic retracting instead of emergency retracting. This is imperative to installing a car seat using the seatbelt instead of latch! See your vehicles owner manual to see how to switch your seatbelt to the automatic function!!!
So here's my review on this car seat after having it for two weeks now... It's a great seat for the money! I got this seat during a lightening deal for $89. A steal if you ask me.
Pros:
Easy to install (if you know what and how to properly do it)
Nice, sturdy cup holder with storage compartment on each side for snacks
Fully removable fabric, machine washable, nice color combo (black/patterned)
Recline function
No thread harness
Pretty good padding
Doesn't take up too much space on vehicle seat, able to have other passengers
Low seat position, closer to seat and makes putting child into seat much easier! No more hitting her head on the roof *sorry kiddo*

Cons:
Harness belts twist easily
Harness belt pads twist too
Seat bottom additional pad insert isn't stitched on and can bunch up.

All in all, this is a very user friendly seat for me and our 2.5 year old. Definitely worth the $90! (I gave it 4 stars because of the harness belts twisting so much while trying to get her harnessed in. Also, there isn't much recline to this seat and sometimes her head will tilt forward while sleeping, but usually she leans back.)
Great seat, could recline a bit more
June 9, 2016
It is a great seat, very sturdy and well done, and my son seems to be confortable there. He promptly learned to use the cup holder (he's only 1y4m) and likes to throw his pacifier there.
Some cons: since my car does not have isofix, the seat is held in place only by the car's seatbelt, and if you shake it there is some lateral movement. Also, it does not recline (in theory it does but to a minimun extent) so if my son falls asleep, his head tilts to the front and wakes him if I hit the breaks just a bit more suddenly. This has not prevented him from taking long naps there, over one hour. Overall, I am very satisfied with the seat.
Like the carseat
February 25, 2016
Like the carseat, except for the recline option. We bought this specifically for the recline. With all 3 positions combined it goes back maybe 1/2", not even worth having the recline option.

Decent
August 16, 2017
Lightweight but bulky. Crotch buckle isn't easy to open. Head rest is low and uncomfortable for taller kids. Has a strong recline in FF mode. Worth it for the money but not the best car seat on the market.
The only great thing was the cupholders and its lightweight
April 23, 2017
Used this carseat for more than a year. The only great thing was the cupholders and its lightweight. There was barely any padding so I feel like it was uncomfortable for my toddler.

July 29, 2016
It's adorable, but there are a few things about it that I don't like. My daughter is 18 months and the minnie head pillow goes over the straps. When I buckle her in I have to push the bottom of the pillow up and try to keep it behind her head. I may try to just saftey pin it up higher and out of the way, but it's not idea. It's difficult to get my daughter in over the high sides. The straps are easy to loosen and tighten. It's not the most padded car seat, so it's probably not incredibly comfortable, but it gets the job done.
Good price, but hard to install and takes up a lot of space.
July 7, 2016
This seat is good for the price, and my daughter is in love with the Minnie Mouse design. It's kind of hard to install though, and does take up a good amount of space. I have mine on the passenger side backseat, and anyone sitting shotgun in my Toyota Matrix hatchback won't get too much leg room. It took me a lot to get it in the car to where I felt comfortable about it not sliding all over the place. And the installation instructions are pretty confusing. Also, the Minnie ears don't attach if your child needs the straps on the last two notches. I just safety pinned them on though, and that seemed to work. Lots of room to sit in it though, my daughter seems comfy in it. I do dread having to take it out at some point to install in another car...

December 30, 2015
I returned the item because I felt like a bad parent as the padding is extremely thing and the chest buckle is very cheap. It's so darn adorable, but if your child needs the harness at the highest length, then you can't use the Minnie Mouse pillow, which is pretty lame. This chair gets very good reviews, but I decided to return it (before even using it) and went with a Britax Click-Tight model.
Good back up
October 20, 2015
I was skeptical about ordering a car seat online not having seen it in person before and for good reason. I don't think this car seat offers much comfort for the baby since the padding is very minimal. It feels kind of cheesy but for us it's just our back up car seat. We have an Evenflo Platinum series so naturally you can't really compare the two, but it serves it's purpose for us and the little Mickey ears are a cute feature

Very comfortable, will have a long life, but difficult to adjust the bottom strap
June 2, 2017
The strap buckle that comes up from the seat bottom and connects to the side harness straps is very hard to adjust. There is considerable comment online about the difficulty; we found two YouTube videos that showed us how to adjust this strap. We watched them and then adjusted the strap without too much difficulty -- but only after many minutes, many trials and having given up on it.
Harness straps difficult to tighten.
May 23, 2017
I like so many things about this car seat. I love that it's a 3 in 1. It is the last car seat I will have to buy for my toddler. It's soft, sturdy, has the side compartments for my son's toys, and the cup holder is nice. I don't like that it is difficult to pull the bottom strap to tighten the harness straps. I usually end up having to put my hand behind the car seat to manually pull that strap that tightens the harness straps.

April 10, 2017
I READ SEVERAL REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING, ONE LENGTHY REVIEW STATED SHE OWNED A HONDA PILOT AND PUT 3 OF THESE ACROSS THE BACK SEAT, WELL IN HAVE A FORD EXPEDITION AND I CAN GET ONLY TWO WITH NO ROOM FOR EVEN A STANDARD BOOSTER BETWEEN THEM. MAYBE HE/SHE WAS USING THE SECOND ROW AND I'M WORDING ON THE 3RD ROW, SO BEWARE IF YOUR THINKING 3 ACROSS.
Could be better for the price point
August 4, 2016
It is okay, not made out of the best materials and no extra padding or cushion. Since the backrest has no significant slant, the toddler's head will bob when sleeping, and it could get pretty uncomfortable during long trips. The pockets for the metal ends are not easily accessible. I am returning mine because I did expect more value at this price point. Will be opting for something more expensive with extra padding and practical design.
Product Not as Described by Amazon; Harness Straps Require Rethreading
January 10, 2016
I ordered two of these seats (in the Jetson color) primarily because I liked the idea of the "Simply Safe Adjust harness system, to adjust the height of your harness and headrest in one motion." I deeply dislike having to rethread those pesky straps, so this feature sounded like a dream.

However, as you'll see from these photos, the seats I received do not feature the "Simply Safe Adjust system." I've attached photos that clearly show slots for rethreading. Additionally, Amazon's product description touts "fuss free harness storage" -- little pockets for storing the harness buckles. My seats lack this feature as well.

I'm puzzled. The boxes I received are printed with "Nautilus LX." The owners manuals are printed with only "Nautilus" and include instructions for rethreading the straps (grrr). I guess I'll call Graco to ask what's going on.

In the meantime, be aware that if you order the Jetson color, you might not get the product as described.

Does not fit child up to 43", no seat latch/strap included
September 19, 2017
This seat is intended for babies and small small small toddlers. My daughter is just over two years old, about 36" tall and she does not fit safely in this seat. The chest straps should come out of the seat back above the shoulders, but at the highest level, they are 2" below her shoulders. Additionally, the carseat did not come with a fastening strap to latch onto the metal clips in my rear seats (you have to loop your car seatbelt through the carseat) which is a less secure method of installation.
You pay for what you get :/
March 11, 2017
My first impression of this seat was good. It looked adorable and my 12 month old seemed comfortable. Now that I've used this for 3 months my opinion of the seat has changed. The seat is somewhat flimsy. I don't know how comfortable the seat will be for her as she grows since the straps are close to the biggest setting. (She's 19lbs rear facing). Lastly I noticed the stitching is coming out on the seat. I wish I spent more money and bought a nicer seat.
All CUTE-NESS aside...
March 16, 2016
Out of the box this cute carseat is ready to go...however, BEWARE that once your child is about a year old the Minnie ears are stuck behind their head/neck rather than above. The picture is misleading bc the ear pillow only goes as high as the top shoulder harness slat and not all the way up as shown. It then needs to be removed all together so only cute for maybe up to first year. We are returning this seat because (1) the chest clip is very hard to operate...click open/closed and is very wide and thin. It also doesn't sit comfortably against my 16mo's chest. (2) There is no added side-impact foam around the top-sides of the seat. The sides of the seat are mearly constructed of thin moveable plastic with the seat-cover over them. We want the peace of mind of a seat that feels a bit more safe for our little one to ride in and grow with.I'm sure this meets all required safety guidelines to be sold in US but we've owned many carseats (as this is baby number 3) and this was the poorest-made seat we've ever purchased. It is going back and we'll pay a little more for a higher quality carseat.
Not happy
March 1, 2016
I had this for a few months. Felt too light and flimsy to be safe. Very uncomfortable- no padding at all. Got rid of it and bought another brand. Also, the reason I got it was for the Minnie decal. But the "pillow" doesn't stay up in that position. It falls to the bottom of the chair constantly.

February 22, 2016
PROS:CuteLightweightLasts a long timeCONS:Hard to install, tightening the harness that hooks it to the car seat is insanely difficult, I don't know if it's my car or the strap just being cheap material. But I noticed the buckle straps for baby are also difficult to tighten evenlyMini pillow doesn't stay onNot much paddingSmaller babies will need a neck support for sleeping on longer trips.I bought this because it was cute and affordable but I'm not impressed. It's hard to install and I don't know if I feel like its the safest car seat out there. I should have returned it, but it will do until I can get a better one. Cheap price = cheap product in this case.
Just not for us!
November 1, 2015
Not pleased with this car seat! It's very hard and won't last as long as they advertise. My 20 month old who is short and only 22lbs was on the highest notch and only had a little more loosening to go before she would outgrow the harness part. The Minnie headrest got in the way of the straps if it was secured through the strap slits. I'm returning this car seat and getting another one of better quality. I was excited about the Minnie design and that was the only thing about this car seat I liked. Just not for us but when reading the reviews before buying this car seat lots of people were pleased with it so maybe it was just me. I prefer more comfort and longer lasting especially since my daughter hates riding in the car. That's why I wanted the Minnie design because she loves Minnie! Amazon was great about the return though!

September 12, 2017
I returned it in place of the Diono R100. This just seemed needlessly bulky and uncomfortable. I didn't like the setup when I pulled it out of the box. Also not sure why those strap rings are right there (big red things at shoulder height). His shoulder were knocking on these (4yo).

May 24, 2017
Really dislike this car seat. I have always purchased Britax car seats but decided to save a little money and go with this one since it had good reviews. It is uncomfortable for my son. The fabric is cheapy, the whole car seat seems cheaply made.

March 7, 2017
Our daughter is 33 inches tall but the shoulders straps thread into the carseat inches above her shoulders making the straps insecure. I tighten these almost every time I put her in because they seem to loosen on their own. :( Not safe at all. We are most likely returning it. We've examined the straps and they are as low as they possibly go.
not impressed
October 22, 2016
Not as happy as I thought I would be with this seat. I've heard nothing but good things but I'm just not a fan. Its hard to tighten the straps when my daughter is in the seat, you need to pull very hard. I have to have my husband loosen the latch system as I can't do it, it's too hard. I tried for over a hour one day. Not a fan of the hooks on the latch system. I like the way our other bravo seat it. I bought to have in our truck but need it leave in my car as it can't be taken out as easily as the other. The one thing I do like is that it's smaller but I don't like that there is not enough side support as our other graco. I wouldn't buy the seat again or recommend it to anyone.

Found a break in this car seat, and it's never been in a wreck or anything, makes me wonder is it even safe for my granddaughter, very displeased
Does not fit child as described.
July 22, 2017
It's a cute car seat, but it definitely doesn't fit a child as described. The item description states that a forward facing child can fit up to 40 lbs and 43 inches. We could not even buckle this on my 32 lbs, 40 inch tall daughter and the straps were well below her shoulders. After I received it I checked out some of the negative comments and this seems to be a common theme. This is frustrating as now we have to return the package and my daughter is so upset because she thought she was getting a Minnie Mouse seat; not to mention totally unsafe.
Seat angle to sharp for rear facing
March 22, 2017
This carseat is horrible. If you bought it for a front facing seat, it might still work for you. However if you want it for a rear facing for your child to grow with DO NOT GET THIS ONE. I didn't even attempt to install it. The angle it sits your child in is a VERY deep V and positioned my daughters legs level with her head.
too small for 32 lb 40 inch
December 18, 2016
I have the same issue as most of others here. My girl 40 inch and 32 lb has difficulties to fit into this car seat. Now, we are stuck on whether to jump to booster seat early or to buy another one. I wish I had listened the critical reviews here.
Was really hoping to like this seat
November 18, 2016
Was really hoping to like this seat. Its so cute! A few things that were deal killers for me and made me send it back. 1. The ears when secured properly would push down in the shoulder straps. Not only was that uncomfortable for my babe but could not have been safe. 2. The angle of this seat when installed forward facing is weird. It doesn't fit right in the angle of the seat and makes it lean back way to far. 3. The buckle between the legs is too short and makes it hard to click in. I pinched my babes legs a couple of times trying to get it secure. Unless she was wearing thin leggings it was way too hard to get her buckled in. 4. The sides of the seat were way too high so when lifting my babe into the seat I would have to lift her so high that she bonk her head on the door frame. She would practically have to lie down flat so I could lift her over the sides of the seat to get her in without bumping.I really wanted to like this seat. Super cute and my daughter loved it but way too many cons to keep
Plastic piece that top strap hooks up to keeps breaking
April 5, 2016
I love the design. The problem is I am on my second one of these because a piece on the back that the top strap hooks up to broke twice. At this point it's not even worth it to return again. If I were to get in a accident it would fly forward because it's not hooked up, the plastic is poorly made!!

This is my first ever online review. I hate this seat so much I don't want anybody else to buy it. The straps are impossible to tighten. Even my 6'2", strong, husband says, "yes, the straps require some real elbow grease to tighten." He has to really yank hard to get our son in. And Th
The problem is they are so hard to tighten that I cannot get my child safely fastened in this seat. So I cannot use this seat without my husband present. You have to pull so hard, and as we have a sedan, I'm standing to the side so I can't get a good angle. Perhaps in a car where you can stand directly in front of the seat and pull with all your might, you could get your child fastened securely. This was such a waste a money and we have to replace it. DO NOT BUY.

The strap was very hard to pull to tighten the harness to his chest. My husband even said that it was difficult to tighten. I wanted to love this carseat because of the price and the side protection around his head but it was also too upright and my soon to be 3 year old could not get comfortable when he got sleepy.

I bought this car seat based on high reviews and positive recommendation from CS but my experience is totally negative. It's almost impossible to adjust crotch buckle strap. After fiddling it for almost an hour i managed to move the crotch strap in middle position, and thought no big deal as we don't have to adjust the crotch strap regularly, but when i tried to install it in car using lower latches, i couldn't get it to tighten it securely. I have a Britax seat in my wife's car and car seats secures so tightly that it won't move even half an inch. On the other hand this Graco Nautilus never get straped tight enough in my car. I will be returning it and possibly fork extra money to get Britax and not deal with again
DO NOT BUY! FAR FROM SAFE!

As a mother of 2, ages 8 and 3, there is a definite difference in quality and security in two of these models. I have an Nautilus 65 LX from 5 years ago and never had any issues with the product. The straps were fully adjustable and could be tightened easily without any effort. After purhcasing the newest version of this model, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. The installation of this was horrible and does not tighten for that snug fit that I am used to where it doesn't even wiggle. I installed it into a 2016 Mazda CX-5, and it took 2 people to do it! Ugh. As if that was bad enough, the worst was realizing that it was not safe in the slightest. The straps DO NOT TIGHTEN properly with these auto-adjustble straps. My mother-in-law and I even took the car seat out of the car, checked the base, checked the straps threading, checked the tightening mechanisms, etc, and NOTHING is snagged/blocking it from feeding properly when you pull on the tightening strap. It leaves more than 5 cm of loose room for a child to wiggle with. God forbid there was an accident, it is enough to have a kid be ejected. This is such an unacceptable product. Maybe it's a defect, but either way, I'm done with this brand until they can ensure each seat comes off the manufacturing line in a working and safe condition
