I enjoy using these and they hold up with proper treatment
September 6, 2017
Other than some of them containers being a lot smaller than I was expecting, these containers are great for leftovers.I have noticed that as with any plastic container, if you have an acid based product (like speg sauce) in them, they do stain. Not a deal breaker - if that is a problem, don't use plastic containers. The lids hold up in the dishwasher on the top rack without warping. They will warp if snapped on top of the container in the microwave. I haven't had a problem with the lids if it is placed at an angle on the container when heating which allows for venting.I like the snap together lids and that the lid will also snap on the bottom of the container when using for serving. It helps to keep your items together when at a picnic or party. The base line price point is okay but it is a super deal when they are on sale.
LOVE Rubbermaid Easy Finds Lids Food Storage system...highly recommend!

Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids Food Storage is awesome! They go in the fridge, microwave, freezer, dishwasher, lunch boxes....they never stain, never melt, never leak, seal air tight, can see what's in them, lids always fit...the stacking system for both lids and bowls is just wonderful. This Rubbermaid is the ONLY food storage I will use. I have about 200 pieces of this Rubbermaid from tiny to extra large, the extra large are great for when cooking family sized batches of food, taking to a cookout or something of that type; the small ones are great for lunches...they hold sandwiches, fruits, cheeses, soups, anything you need to store or to travel or put in a lunch. There is not a size or shape that you can't add to your Rubbermaid storage collection, and the ease of storing them in your cabinets is truly awesome. Very organized! I will never use any food storage that is not part of the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids storage system.
Love them

I love these containers and the 42 piece set was a great way to start. They nest well together and the bottoms snap onto the lids for easy storage. They really save space in the drawer compared to the miscellaneous containers we had before. Multiple size containers share the same size lid size, so if you lose a lid you can probably still use another lid from the set. The 1.25 cup size is perfect for snacks in school lunches... I already ordered another 8 pack of this size. The smallest is good for things like hummus. They seem to seal well, so I don't expect any leaking. We put some juicy watermelon in them this week in lunches and no leak problems. They seem very durable and fit so much better in my dishwasher than an older set of round snack containers. I'm delighted with this purchase.PS Please don't microwave these or anything plastic. It releases chemicals from the plastic and goes into the food and air. Really not good for you. Use a glass or ceramic bowl with a plate over it if you need to steam something or prevent splatters during reheating.
Lids stay securely closed, easy to wash, and come in a variety of sizes.

I own a set of these Rubbermaid containers and just purchased another set for my mother. In the amount of time that I have had these, they have performed flawlessly. There have been no issues with leaking and they are very easy to wash. I must point out that I do wash my containers by hand and the few times that I have put them in the microwave on 80% power, there have been no issues. One of the main reasons I purchased these is because my previous Lock and Lock containers were growing mold under the elastic in the lid. This was a pain as I would have to dig this out with a knife every time I needed to wash the container. With the Rubbermaid lid, there is nothing extra in the lid so washing is easy and there is no chance for mold to grow.I am very pleased with the performance of these containers and I have also purchased the larger sizes on their own. I would highly recommend them.
Great stacking tupperware in a variety of sizes.
June 19, 2016
I love this set of tupperware! I was gifted a set for Christmas and loved how all the lids stacked and connected to each other or connected to the bottom of the containers. The lids are easy to get on and off but sturdy enough to keep liquid in. They saved so much room inside my cabinet that I decided to toss all my other tupperware and purchase another set. I ordered the 42 piece set and this particular set comes with a lot of small sized containers which I think are great for salads, soups, or small lunches to take to work, and the itty bitty ones are great for dressings, or almonds for a snack. If you're looking for large storage containers for large meals, you'll only get a few in this set so you might want to order a different set that has the larger versions. I myself use these in place of ziplock bags as well and they work perfectly for everything I need.I would recommend NOT microwaving this set because they tend to change colors or absorb the liquid inside and can sometimes warp if microwaved too long, but I would recommend everyone not microwave any kind of plastics because it is just bad for your health in general. They do hold up well inside a standard temp dishwasher on the top rack, and I've never had any warp or melt on me.Highly recommended!
Perfect for everything you need contained!
January 8, 2016
We, like many other households, suffered from a huge massive pile of random containers (old tupperware, containers from friends bringing stuff for potlucks that we kept and never returned like horrible people, and lots of "we'll totally re-use this pho soup container again and save the world!"). Most had long ago lost lids, some were melted and warped from trial and error in the microwave, and many had a strange film on them that would never be scrubbed off.Basically, we were animals and only had two containers with lids in regular leftover rotation. The leftovers struggle was real as we had to sacrifice many meals due to improper storage. Also, we are grown adults and needed to get our kitchen in order after being totally upstaged at every houseparty we went to, bearing our potluck offerings in a mish mosh of takeaway boxes and warped plastic covered in foil. We are in our 30's for chrissakes. This set came up on sale on Amazon and I got it! It's been a few months now, and we've diligently kept track of each and every piece and it's lid. The lids really do snap together and make it easy to find the right size and store them in a non-obnoxious way. The sizes in this set are awesome and offer a lot of options for small bits (like hummus, nuts or salad dressing on the go) to large enough for leftovers for two meals. Perfect to throw in a lunch bag, too! It's still plastic... but hasn't gotten any staining on it from heavy use. Seems to microwave just fine. Next time we'll probably upgrade to pyrex to be really fancy, but these containers are a really good bargain!

These are amazing. I bought them honesty just because the price
August 20, 2016
These are amazing. I bought them honesty just because the price. But they have held up to microwaving and dishwashing and I'm in awe. My husband ruins Tupperware. It doesn't matter the brand or price he always ruins them. We just end up throwing them away after two uses so I expected these to be the same. NOPE. We are going strong after about 5 dishwashers and multiple microwaves. I thought the smaller ones would be useless but they are the perfect size for toddler meals or taking dip or hummus on the go. I'm so glad I got these on a whim.

June 30, 2016
As a kid I was brought up on yogurt containers, butter tubs, cottage cheese containers and anything else as food containers for leftovers. The problem with that was that you never knew what was going to be in those containers when you opened them. That butter container might have butter, or it might have 3 month old spaghetti turned science experiment. Then there was the problem with the lids. Oh my the lids everywhere. The price of all those "free" food storage containers turned out to be a lot of time hassle and cabinet space. I finally made myself ditch the habit of saving every piece of plastic ware that came my way and got these instead. The price was right and they all nest together quite nicely. The different sizes mean that you don't have a ton of wasted space in your fridge taken up by air and you can see through them enough to tell which container has gravy and which has last night's spaghetti in it. After these ones wear out or get too stained from food or what have you, I will definitely be buying them again and again. I would definitely recommend them to anyone especially if you are still trying to figure out if you dare to open that bulging container of yogurt??
these are fun
May 8, 2015
our seller was lehigh outdoor and shipping was very fast. anyway... these come nested, almost like russian nesting dolls, and i'm sure they will never quite go back together in exactly the same formation unless you take notes or a picture of it first. i didn't. i had fun. besides being for food this would be a great cheap toy for a toddler to learn shapes and sizes, like those old toys they had decades ago for babies to learn how to put different things together. some of the teeny containers fit into slightly larger ones and i was able to get all of them nested into the two largest so they don't take up much shelf space.

these are thin. i know it says you can put them in the microwave but i wouldn't risk it. melted plastic is deadly to a microwave. the lids snap on and off nicely. i'm not very strong and i had no problem with opening nor closing them.

someone said they had a problem with using them in the freezer, that they cracked. i'm guessing it was because they were filled a little too close to the top or the food was too hot and it expanded. never overfill anything that you are going to freeze in a freezer bag, jar, bottle, or plastic container, if it has any liquid content, or it can burst.

pros

they are very cute, like miniature tuppers.
the green lids are pretty.
you can learn the word for microwave in 26 languages from the instructions.
you can have fun playing with them and seeing how many different ways they can nest to take up the least amount of space on a shelf.
the set would make a nice toddler learning toy to teach babies how shapes and sizes work.
you can store things other than food in them to keep them clean and dry.
there are lots of sizes to pick from depending on however much food or other things you want to store in them.
lightweight.
they have easy to open and close lids.

cons

i can't think of any. :) 10 stars
Love these containers.
January 4, 2014
I love these containers!

+You get a variety of sizes. Some other complained about some being too small, but I've found uses for all of them. Myself, my fiancé and our 6 year old all pack our lunches, the small containers could be used for peanut butter, goldfish crackers, or maybe fruit. The larger ones are rather large in my opinion, I usually make preface dinners like Beef and Noodles and Chicken Dumpling, and it usually takes both tall containers to hold a full pot of either of those. Personally I love all the sizes.

+Dishwasher Safe, Microwave Safe, I have also frozen these with no issues.

+BPA free. This was the main selling point for me,

-/+Lids need to be snapped on, all the way around. I pop the lid on and run my fingers all around the top and push. The lid should click a couple times. After you feel them snap into a place a few times you will get used to being sure the lids are on. Lids do have a nice little area to allow you to place a finger when you're opening them. I have long nails and I like not having to worry about them when prying open these containers.

-Price. I have no local IKEA, but I've heard these are just a couple bucks there. This is almost triple that price, so that's a little annoying.

The only negative things I've experienced I mentioned above. And it's not enough for me to remove a star. The lids are a negative point but honestly, when I hear them snap into place it lets me know they are on to stay.

Hope this helps. I will also include a customer image.
Nice variety set.
March 11, 2013
I don't have an Ikea store in my area so ya, would be nice to pay less for these. But this review is for the product itself, and considering what you get for the price vs other sets, this ain't such a bad deal. No tax, shipping - or driving either for that matter!

I've had this set since Sept. 2012 and the quality is nicer than expected. Dishwasher safe, still clean and clear, not stained or "scarred". I haven't used many of the smaller sizes but the larger sizes are ample enough for our use. We are a family of four and have plenty of leftovers. Also perfect for storing, stacking, etc. If you only need huge, like 36+ oz containers then maybe these wouldn't be best. But for the variety and quantity, they're great!

Decent Tupperware
May 25, 2017
If you need a set of basic Tupperware containers, these do the job. The main attraction of this product to me was the fact that there are limited lid sizes, so I'm not constantly digging through a pile of lids to find the slightly smaller/larger version for a specific container. It makes storage and use relatively easy. They are also stackable which is nice and saves space in my fridge when I have a lot of leftovers.I am giving them four stars however because I'm not sure if it's just me or my dishwasher, but despite being dishwasher safe, I have noticed they have clouded after dishwasher use. I'm not quite sure why, but it does concern me slightly. Also it is important to note that I have not tried these in the microwave, as other reviewers have. I don't like the idea of any plastic going in the microwave, especially if it involves food, so I have not tried it and probably won't. So if you're like me and don't plan on using these in the microwave, they will work fine for your kitchen.
Excellent basic storage containers
October 31, 2016
Excellent basic storage selection. I did have to return and get the kit replaced as there were 4 pieces missing in the initial delivery I received. But as always returning and replacing with Amazon is a hassle free project. Cannot beat the price as a Prime deal either. These are basic storage containers and I would not recommend using any plastic container in the microwave. When it comes to microwaving food, I always use glass containers, regardless of whether the containers say microwave safe or not. There are countless articles that explain why food should not be reheated in plastic containers regardless of whether they are BPA free or not. Acidic foods such as tomato soup will stain and ruin these as well as other plastic containers. Heating and cooling will break down the plastic and chemicals in the plastic. BPA is not the only chemical used in plastic. Acidic foods will exacerbate this by "eating" into the plastic which is why if you've ever heated up tomato soup in a plastic container, you're left with red stains you can't seem to wash off. But for normal storage use you can't beat this deal for the amount of containers you get. The lids seal tight and the various sizes accommodate my lunch box requirements!Sizes (42 Piece):5 - 4oz5 - 1.25 cups5 - 2 cups2 - 3 cups2 - 5 cups2 - 7 cupsAnd lids for all corresponding sizes.
Every year I have to buy a new set or two but they work pretty well. If you're debating whether to get this ...
November 17, 2015
I've been using this type and brand of containers for over 15 years. Every year I have to buy a new set or two but they work pretty well. If you're debating whether to get this or a glass set, this is a better choice based on my experiences. The plastic set is better for people bringing food to work or school.Pros:1) SafetyIt's safer to carry around plastic than glassware. These won't break if you accidentally drop them at room temperature. However, if the containers are frozen, use caution to not drop them because the edges will shatter and break off. Several of my frozen containers fell while I was putting them back into the freezer and broke off. I was thankful I was wearing shoes or I would've cut my feet when the containers bounced.2) Variety & StackingI got the 42 pc and 50 pc sets and they come with multiple sizes. I don't use all of the containers often but it's nice to have a variety. I do wish there were more 3 cup sizes. The 42 pc set seemed to have the best/highest 3 cup containers. These cups nest and stack nicely. It helps save space, especially in small kitchens like mine.3) PriceI got the 42 pc set for $14,99 through Amazon as part of their Black Friday deal so it was very affordable. I got 2 sets.Cons:1) Stains, bubbles, and warpThese stain fairly easily (tomato sauce, curry, and other colorful stuff). They also warp easily depending on the microwave and how you heat them up. If you're using the lid to cover while heating up, make sure to always vent the container. As far as chemical seepage from plastics go, don't microwave on high for long periods without stirring. As other reviewers have said, microwaves have hot spots and that's how you end up with burned/bubbled and warped plastics.2) LeaksThe lids are great for dryer foods. The lids stay on securely. Foods that are more liquid, like soups will leak. The more liquid they are, the more likely they will leak. My solution is to freeze liquid food so you won't have a problem during transport. It helps tremendously if you're a student carrying lunch around. Also put containers inside a plastic bag to contain possible leaks.3) CleaningThe containers are really hard to clean when there's high grease food involved. The lids themselves are REALLY hard to clean because they have grooves that keep them securely in place. If washing lids by hand, you will have to use a paper towel or napkin along with a spoon, fork, toothpick, etc. to get into the greasy crevices before you can wash with soap. You also have to wipe the container with a paper towel or napkin to remove the high grease before washing . Otherwise you can spend a lot of time going over and over with the sponge & a lot of soap and it'll still be dirty (you can feel and see the grime with a swipe of a finger). A dish washing brush also works but not as effectively and takes longer. Using a dishwasher tends to clean the lids better because of the high temperature.4) Sizes of containersThese sets include too many containers that aren't very useful, like the really small or very large ones (0.5 cup, 1.25 cup, 9 cup, and 14 cup). I feel like they're just fillers to bump up the number of items included in the set.If you use the 0.5 cup as spice or condiment containers, you'll accumulate a ton of these over the years since they last forever when you don't heat them up. I'd rather have more of the 2 cups and 3 cups containers. I make a lot of food and freeze them for the week because of my schedule. The 2 cup is good for soups (thawed) and 3 cup is good for storing everything including soups. If there was a set of just the 2 cups and/or 3 cup containers, I'd buy them but sadly they don't make them. I'm stuck with a bunch of containers that I don't use and takes up a lot of space.Experiences with glass sets:I got tired of having to replace this plastic set every year due to color stains, smells, and warp so I bought the Rubbermaid glass containers as a replacement. The glass version was of low quality. The actual glass looked sturdy enough but the several of the lids (5 out of 20) were warped upon arrival. The lids that did not warp some did not fit on the glass at all (can't close 1 corner no matter how you rotate) and the ones that did fit on the glass leaked. Also, the lids that do fit are hard to remove which makes it very easy to drop and break the glass containers. The Pyrex glassware set has different lids that are easier to open but they are not leak proof. The Anchor brand has even cheaper glass and plastic so I didn't even get those. Glass sets are good to use at home only since the lids leak a lot. You'd just use them as storage sets not as portable sets.Overall:The Rubbermaid plastic container set is good for travel use. For the price of current sales, they are great deals to get. They are moderately leak proof and nest nicely with each other, helping to save space.
... year ago and have just purchased another set (i love when they have them on sale)
November 2, 2015
I purchased my first set of these almost exactly a year ago and have just purchased another set (i love when they have them on sale). There weren't as many reviews on them the first time I purchased them but after a year of use I feel like I should leave a review as well.Overall I give them four out of five stars for the following:Pros- Price- the lids snap together- no leaks- you can freeze, microwave, and wash them in the dishwasher- made in the usaCons- you can't microwave the lid without it warping somewhat- when dropped I have had edges break off- they stain rather easily and I have had some of the actual containers melt/plastic bubbleThey store food relatively well and despite a few flaws (that you'd expect with any set of plastic storage- if you don't want staining/occasional melting problems I would suggest paying the 3x more for a glass set) I've only had to throw out maybe three of them. Ultimately for the price I think they are a pretty decent plastic storage set, which is why I've ordered a second set while on sale. I can't imagine you'd expect these to be super fantastic end-all be-all storage containers (especially for the reasonable price) but I do think they work well for my family and make it super easy to freeze lunches for my husband or store leftovers.
Great, simple storage for the budget minded
September 24, 2015
We were concerned about using so many plastic bags, for environmental and economical, reasons so the wife and I decided to purchase a lot of these. They're great! While we still keep plastic bags for items that don't fit and things we want to send away with guests, we hardly use the plastic any more.Pros:-Price-Interlocking lids and stackability makes them super convenient to store and keep track of-Lightweight-Lids lock tightCons:-Plastic can become corroded and/or stained by acidic foods, not to mention it doesn't withstand cutting-Color of the lids can fade-Like most plastic, it doesn't weather well in the microwaveSo long as you're sure to rinse these out after use, don't let items dry, and don't microwave or dishwash them, they last a really long time. My first set I bought 4 years ago and they look almost as good as new -- the major difference is the color of the lids does fade.-Kind of flimsy for freezer storage -- I wouldn't recommend keeping things the freezer in these for very long
Great little Tupperware set.
April 4, 2015
Only thing that could make this better is if it came with 2 more of the larger containers and two more of the meal-sized ones, so that I could pack 4 meals and not need to mix-match with my other containers. Other than that, they are very convenient, I like that it even comes with really small ones for if you want to bring along a sauce or maybe your favorite dressing. It's awesome. The lids are very secure, I have gone on long bike rides with these packed in my bag and have not experienced a single leak or had to worry about the containers coming open. I also like that you can stack them, makes it easy to store them in my bag as well as in the fridge.Unlike some of the other reviewers, I have not experienced staining in mine when warming things up. Maybe it's the heat settings on your particular microwave or something? I dunno. I've even warmed it with red things and red sauces in them and had no issue getting them clean and clear again. But that could also be because I clean them immediately after I use them rather than letting them set in the sink for a while. None of the Rubbermaid items I've owned thus far have had this problem (I have some of their other stuff too), not even their much cheaper items.

Well Worth The Price
March 2, 2017
I have ordered several sets of these. They are nice to have when you want to send food home with someone and not worry about getting your expensive storage containers back. They are also good when something goes horribly bad and you can just chuck the container out without caring too much about the cost you're losing. They hold up well in the freezer as well as the microwave. Yes you can buy them for $5 from the IKEA site but their shipping is so outrageous they end up being $15 for a single set. Their basic shipping starts at $10 and when these drop in price to $10 here occasionally it's still cheaper to buy them here, especially with PRIME. All in all these are good little containers that can handle all the usual wear and tear that comes with being a container. But, don't expect Tupperware.
and skip buying my regular Glad disposables. I am glad I tried these
April 4, 2016
I decided to give these storage containers a go, and skip buying my regular Glad disposables. I am glad I tried these, they are very nice. However, the lids do not seal air tight. & that fact is disappointing. Also, I would hesitate to place them on the bottom rack in my dishwasher again, as the heat will white mark them. The set is nicely rounded with many small containers for those small leftovers that seem to find their way into the fridge when no one wants to toss a nice last morsel out and looks forward to it for a later midnight snack. I'm glad I purchased them, but asking that a container to be airtight is not to much to expect. Please make these better --- they are, afterall, an Ikea product!
Not good for fridge Tetris...
March 19, 2016
So far these seem to be hook song up ok. They go through the dishwasher just fine. They haven't stained at all despite holding some of the most dreaded leftovers a container could come into contact with: the unrelenting tomato sauce. We don't often microwave in them but they have survived the microwave a few times with no issue. My only complaint with these is that the smallest containers are so small they are pretty useless unless you are putting about a 1/4 cup of seeds or something else super tiny. Maybe baby food or salad dressing? And the biggest tall containers are a bit too tall To fit on most of the shelves in my fridge. I wind up reserving spots in the design just for this containers other wise we have to play the constant shuffle and juggle to fit them. And we all know much much fun it is the play fridge container Tetris and hope nothing liquid hits the floor at the perfect angle to pop open and feed the dog a special treat.
Some awkward sizes, but overall good containers
November 27, 2015
Pretty good set. I liked that there were many pieces and they seem pretty durable so far. There is definitely some awkward sizing - an abundance of tiny containers and several really big ones, but not many good in-betweens. That said, I do use the extreme sized containers. The lids are really good also. Overall I definitely like product, but I would appreciate more medium-sized containers. It's worth noting that they are much more expensive online... That said, the nearest ikea to me is about two hours away and I don't think $8-12 (the range I've seen on amazon) is an unreasonable price.
Great- But Don't Pack 'Em
November 6, 2014
I bought these to send in my kids' lunchboxes for school. Well, I am not able to do that. In fact, if you're going to put these in a bag or lunchbox, I would not bother with them. The size is GREAT- exactly what I wanted. The lids do not stay on. I thought I could use them for applesauce- nope! I wouldn't even put crackers in them. If you're going to stack them in a cupboard or refrigerator to store things to use at home, then they'd be great.

What I'm using them for is non-food storage. I actually have them on my sewing table with all my supplies in them. They're excellent for this. I'm just not giving them five stars, since I BOUGHT them to use for food.

Well Made. Needs a Better Medium Size
March 24, 2016
These were on sale and I was really excited to get so many at such a great price. They're made well and the lids fit perfectly on the container. Stacking them with the lids on the bottom works pretty well, but sometimes it's hard to pull just one lid off the bottom. My main complaint is with the sizes included. There doesn't really seem to be a good size for a sandwich or a salad. The jump from mid-sized ones to really large ones is very big, so I end up squishing things into the medium size. I could put them in the larger size, but then it's kind of bulky and the food sloshes around inside. The tiny ones don't come in handy very often, either.
Way too many tiny containers, but still good for the price.
December 19, 2015
I bought these for taking my lunch to work. The sizes you get in this set are kind of odd. You get over half of them really condiment holding sized, and only a few larger pieces for meals or packing lunches. A couple will fit a sandwich and the other larger ones are good for leftovers. It feels sizing was done this way to up the selling point for quantity, but even so, the usable sizes you do get are plentiful for the price point, which is why I got them. But still, not sure what to do with 10 condiment sized containers….
Nice product, but.......
November 3, 2015
This is a nice set, and having the covers snap to the containers is a great idea. There are just a couple of things I would like to point out. The 1st one is pretty obvious; this is a 42 piece set, but keep in mind that 21 of those pieces are covers so you are only getting 21 containers. The 2nd one is that 5 of the 21 containers are half cup (4 ounce) capacity and are TINY (IMHO). These 5 containers might be great if you want to take salad dressing to work with you, but there aren't a lot of leftovers that only consist of 4 ounces. Other than my disappointment with the 5 tiny containers, I'm hoping this will be a good purchase and enable us to get rid of the pile of miss fitting containers we now have.
Quality Set, Nice Seal...with Caveats...
July 22, 2015
PROs: Quality plastic and rubber lids. Leaves no stains due to certain foods (tomato sauce, etc.). Lids seal extra tight, so difficult for leaks. Plastic containers are not clear, but this is a positive, because those clear plastic ones always end up with cracks and chips; these are more malleable and definitely more durable. The tops of the lids snap nicely to the bottom of the same size containers, so this is a nice space-saving feature for storage in your cabinets or wherever.CONs: Too many little containers versus the larger ones that people actually use more. For example, for leftovers to bring to lunch to work the next day or elsewhere, who is truly going to get their hunger satisfied by eating the minute amount of food that barely fits into a yogurt cup-sized container? No thanks, but I do not want to lug around 5 or 6 of these small containers to eat a simple meal. Additionally, as stated previously, these lids seal very tightly, so for some people with less hand-strength and dexterity (i.e., the elderly, kids, and certain women), snapping on these lids completely and/or prying them open to get to your goodies may require some extra effort or help.Overall, a nice set for the price (less than an Andrew Jackson note). Just wish they would provide more ample-sized containers in lieu of all those many, tiny little ones that most of us hardly ever use and are left collecting dust in our cupboards.
They're alright but get damaged easily for some reason in the microwave

They're pretty good, and I would have given them four stars, but what I don't like about them is that when you microwave tomato sauce or ramen noodle soup or anything like that in these containers, they seem to become damaged. They get this white film on them in the inside, and its almost like they burn a little bit or something like that and become permanently damaged. Its a little hard to describe, so I included a picture. I haven't abused these things in any way. A few minutes in the microwave shouldnt be too much punishment for these things to bear, I wouldnt think (it looks dirty in the picture but its not and i've scraped at them so its obvious that its like, melted, into the plastic or something) Other than that, they're pretty good. You just sorta have to watch what you microwave in these things, which defeats the purpose somewhat right? I mean, if you're putting leftovers in here, or taking them to work, you're more than likely going to want to pull the lid off and stick it in the microwave right? Anyway, they're alright otherwise.

June 24, 2017
The larger looking containers are much smaller than they appear. Most of the other containers are extremely tiny Soap Bar dish size to Soy sauce Sushi dip size... really too small for any practical purposes. only the 6 larger containers are somewhat usable but are vastly smaller than they look. Quality seems OK.. a bit higher than supermarket disposable containers.
A lot of containers for the price, but be prepared for a little bit lesser quality.
September 23, 2016
Just received these a few nights ago and ran them through the dishwasher to clean before using. I noticed upon opening the package that some of the lids indeed do not fit on the container properly. But, it seems that if you try that lid with another container of the same size you'll get a match. This might be frustrating if I'm rushing through the morning lunchtime packing and scrambling to find a container+lid combo that work ok, so for the most part, it's something I'm willing to ignore. Between the low price and quantity of these food containers, I'm willing to roll the dice. The reason I'm even purchasing more food containers is because the ones I have seem to keep growing legs and walking away...nothing more frustrating when you want to package up leftovers nicely and into decent portion sizes for both you and the hubby to take for lunch, and you have no clean containers left. I figure if some of these ones grow legs and walk away...at least they were cheap.

One thing I noticed right off the bat is that the plastic that these containers is made of is quite a bit thinner than other (Rubbermaid, Snapware) containers I've used. Again, I'm getting a lot of containers for a really low price, so if some of them crack, melt, or otherwise become defective and I must discard it, this will not be the end of the world. I'm just explaining the differences so that you're aware when you purchase them, that the quality of these won't be the same as something like Snapware.
Good sizes, but not long lasting.
April 12, 2016
These containers offer good sizes for various things. Typically I always feel that container sets include at least a few useless sizes, but all the sizes included in this set are perfect for countless things. They are sort of cheap, where after a little while of use they will start to have marks inside them, especially after using them in the microwave. Also, overtime some of the lids don't snap on nice. You have to double check to make sure they are completely sealed. It's not a bad set for the money, but I don't think that they are great for everyday use. I think they would be great for maybe a cabin, vacation home, or college dorm.Ikea Food Container 601.496.73, Set of 17, Green
Definitely Not High Quality
March 2, 2015
I think you need to just have the right mindset when you purchase these containers. They are great for toting food for lunches. They are easy enough to clean out as there aren't any weird, hard to reach spots on the containers. You get a ton of containers for the price which for my wife and I was great since we had few containers and we pack lunches for hikes and trips to the beach every weekend. We simply needed a ton of containers and didn't want to spend $40 for the privilege of storing our own food.

I just overestimated the Ikea brand here. The lids warp from the heat from on the top shelf of the dishwasher so now I need to wash all the lids by hand. But since I'm already washing the tops, I've just decided to wash the rest of it too, which really eats into the efficiency of having reusable lunch containers.

Additionally, you can't put the lids through the microwave or else that will ruin them too.

One final note though is that these containers won't crack if dropped like some rubbermaid products. As noted above, there are several other pitfalls for these containers but it does have that advantage.
The tallest container is only about 6.5 inches tall
March 22, 2014
Had I paid greater attention to the measurements given in the description, I wouldn't have ordered this set. Maybe I was blinded by the pretty green tops. All I know is that while I will certainly get my moneys worth from them - the price was excellent - there are too many small containers for which I have no immediate use, and too few containers that are tall enough to meet my needs. The two tallest containers are only about 6.5 inches tall. Two containers measure approx 9x6x3 (LxWxH) - I expect to get quite a bit of good use out of them. Two containers measure approx 4.5x4.5x5.5 inches. Two containers measure about 5x5x2 inches. All of the other containers are smaller than the last two noted. I'll find uses for the small containers; however, I'd have been better off with a set that had taller containers, even if there were fewer of them. On the plus side, the lids are a lovely spring green color and they fit securely onto the containers. As mentioned before, the price is excellent. All in all, not a bad set - just not exactly what I needed.

Loved the set becasue of all the features of it being a very uniform set with lids that snap together to make it easy to store away in what could be a messy drawer. Perfect for meal planning and snack for the little ones. Until recently, one of the big containers melted in the microwave. And then hardened into some weird un-usable shape; container and lid. I thought these were microwaveable, now I haven't microwaved one since and I'm down one container. Not sure if the heat could contaminate the food. Bit bummed out since it was a size I use very often.Overall these the Rubbermaid containers are great for organized neat freaks like me but just don't microwave it.
Not quite as good as expected
April 23, 2017
I've owners these for a few months, and I can't say that I agree with the 5 star reviews. I'm clearly an outlier, but I find this set very disappointing. The good - They are very inexpensive. They are thick, heavy, and sturdy plastic. They do nest well. So far, there have been no problems with stains. The not so good - I find the seal to be relatively poor. They are bulky (in my opinion). The rounded shape and super smooth surface make them difficult to easily grab out of the fridge or cabinet (maybe this just me). The lids don't reliably snap together, which is advertised as a feature.Overall, I liked the inexpensive set of 'use and dispose' storage containers that these replaced quite a bit better. I'll be going back to those, or finding a different replacement set.
Second Tier Rubbermaid Set (Product number 1880801)
November 20, 2016
This is a second tier Rubbermaid set. And not the ones you get at Costco, etc. Very similar to cheap "As Seen on TV" products that have poorer seal tops that are a harder plastic. The container is a soft plastic. Works but is not the higher quality Rubbermaid product.Suggest you comparison shop at Costco, Target and Walmart in order to get the Item Number of the container you like. This review is for 1880801. Make sure the good/favorable product reviews are on this product number. They look the same as the better one.
Look twice before you buy these ...
June 16, 2016
These are not the Premier quality that you buy at Costco for $25. These are a much lesser quality. I would have returned them, but since the cost to return was half the cost of the product, I will donate these to a school. These lids do not attach to the Premier lids, the containers are slightly different.

May 17, 2016
I would have given this item 5 stars had it arrived with ALL the components. This particular order was missing the 5 .5 containers. We had the lids but no containers. I found it actually pretty funny. We dont see much of a need for the .5 containers seeing as they are Extremely small for us but nonetheless we paid for them and didnt receive them. We dont want to go through the hassle of returning and getting them replaced so we just left it as is. You should double check the items when they arrive.
Microwave and Dishwasher Safe - Really ?
December 7, 2015
these are supposed to be both Microwave and Dishwasher Safe - I used for folding Thanksgiving left overs. I put them in the microwave to heat the leftovers up and then in the dishwasher to wash. Several of them now have that white bubbling damage to their internal surfaces, I didn't overly heat in the microwave and the dishwasher was on a normal setting ... rather disappointed !!

These are much smaller than I expected. I should have read the small print, the picture makes them look bigger than they actually are. Also, the lids don't lock tight. I use them for storing non food items.
Buy Cheap Get Cheap
March 17, 2016
In my personal opinion the containers are not good quality, too stiff and not flexible and too small. I received my order and the largest container was broken on the bottom, and one of the smaller lids was broken too and cannot be used for food. They were packed good by Amazon but it looks like the person that grouped the bunch of containers together and wrapped them in plastic had a large lid on top of the bunch and it hid the breaks or the large lid would have been broken too. The containers do not stack well together as stated. Maybe if you keep them all separate like the photo shows but if you try to stack them together with like kinds together and lids separate, they do not stand straight because of the rounded bottoms and depressed corners. I am not returning due to it being too much trouble and that they were cheap. I will use them for other things but not food.
The lids don't snap on tightly.
January 16, 2016
Very pretty green, but the lids don't snap on securely. They easily pop open. Very disappointing quality. There is no airtight seal. The lids seem too big. I have had two other Ikea sets of plastic containers I bought at their store over the years and those were fantastic. These suck. I have to put my sandwich in the container and then put that in a plastic bag so the sandwich doesn't empty out into my lunchbag when I toss it onto the front seat of my car. No point in using except that it protects my sandwich from being squooshed. I recommend going to the Ikea store to get better ones, then try them before you drive away, so you can return them.

I was so excited about receiving this set of prep bowls I could hardly wait. But then on arrival after opening an unpackaging it I became excited to sad these bowls are nothing as pictured on other reviewers they are way way more smaller. An it says there microwaveable but when I microwaved mine the plastic around the middle half started to mess up. I would advise you to purchase a different set other than these. All though the lids do fit good on them an they don't leak. There just very small an them not being microwave safe is the down side.

I was seriously disappointed that i could not tell until i got the product, that it was made in China! I do not trust the integrity of China, with all the exposure of their products being produced with toxic ingredients. I had felt safe with Ikea, but it says "made in China" when it arrived. I feel deceived.

When a third of this set can't fit a single egg in it ..... it's not practical.
Poor product
September 9, 2016
The containers easily stain, when storing tomato based products. After a wash in the dishwasher the containers appear to have been etched, like someone has put acid on them. Very disappointed with Rubbermaid. Ended up tossing them in the trash
Incomplete Tupperware set

Product looks great except it didn't include the smallest containers, only the lids for it. I look forward to someone responding to me so I may receive them in a separate package.
Lids won't stay on containers
June 13, 2016
I was disappointed with this set. I thought for sure Rubbermaid would be a good and well known brand to go with for new containers. I don't know if I got a defective set, but the lids won't stay on the containers. I have had multiple times where my food is spilled in my lunch because the lids don't stay on and went to grab containers out of the fridge and the lid won't be on it securely anymore. Really disappointed in this product. :(

We were very exited to recieve this, (I know food storage, but still, stackable and a great price.) but after less than a month and 1 use,, the large one has already developed a crack in the bottom rendering it useless (it has not ben dropped and it was washed per instructions). If that is the level of quality for this product, then it is not worth any price paid for it, save your money.

Cover's don't stay on well
July 31, 2016
1 star review is harsh for the cover not staying maybe? But then again having a cover stay on is the primary purpose of tupperware, to keep things safe and sealed for transport even. There is no way this cover will stay on when transporting in a bag or something.
Another wasted $11. Not all my bad
October 29, 2015
I could not have been more dissappointed. I expected higher quality from Ikea. 9 of the containers are so small & shallow that they can only be used as children's toys. The plastic is so thin & ridged, that I do not expect them to last long. The lids are ridged too & I expect them to crack quickly. As they say "you get what you pay for" or even less in this case. I can't even return them because it would cost almost as much as the product. Another wasted $11. Not all my bad. P.S. Sick of green too.
Cheap plastic and not worth the money
September 18, 2015
I was expecting better quality from Ikea. I wanted to organize my pantry and wanted something more sturdy, like Tupperware or Rubbermaid. These are cheap and do not seem as sturdy as even some of the disposable containers. I would be better off with Ziploc disposable containers, or reusing butter or soup containers, as they are surdier. They are also very small and would hold very little, maybe 1/4 cup. Not even worth the price. They do seem like they would seal tight, but again the plastic is so flimsy that they would probably dent or crack if anything was placed on top of them. I almost never send anything back, but these are going back.
Don't Waste Your Time Or Money
July 31, 2015
Half of the containers that were mailed to me were chipped and/or broken with JAGGED ends sticking out. I can't believe this is how they came to me. I had to throw out 4 of them within the first week of purchasing them on top of the few that I threw out immediately because they cut my finger. Don't waste your time on this product. The containers are flimsy and leak. Look elsewhere! Not worth the money or safety of your fingers!
Descriptions said freezer safe--NOT!
November 13, 2013
I loved the sizes of this set, it was exactly what I was looking for! However, within weeks I've already lost TWO of the set to breakage from putting them in the freezer. (needless to say I won't lose anymore that weay)

The description clearly states they are freezer safe. CLEARLY, as TWO have CRACKED and fell apart, the description is sorely mistaken!

DO NOT PUT IN THE FREEZER!
