Five Star Reviews: | 76% Awesome to Get Organized April 27, 2017 I really love this machine. It punches five papers at a time, but I love making my ProClick books. I'm making my own planners and organizational tools. GREAT Tool to Have! July 23, 2016 Using the ProClick system to create materials for my classroom and union work - love it! I much prefer spiral notebooks to binders for papers I am working with constantly, and having the binding machine and spines makes it so I can create my own notebooks whenever I want (and not have to do it at a copy shop). ProClick spines can be opened to add/subtract pages, which is fantastic! Changed my life! :) February 21, 2016 This is amazing! I'm binding literally EVERYTHING for my classroom now, and its super easy. You just have to make sure you push the papers all the way in, or you'll end up with misaligned holes and have to reprint everything! The binding also helped my Teaching Portfolio look awesome when I was job searching. Great little tool! Great machine February 17, 2016 Great machine easy to use. Put the papers in (about 5 or so) swipe the handle across the top and the holes are made. They are ready for the proclick binders. I like that you can add or subtract things as needed. Excellent, well made product February 27, 2015 Excellent product. I would state that it is fantastic for home use where one is not trying to bind hundreds of copies of something at one time. Several of the reviews I read before I purchased this product mentioned the complicated workings and the poor instructions. I have no idea where these come from since the instructions are simple and the operation is very straight forward. I had no trouble at all having a good looking project the first time I used this product. Excellent product, well made, and does what it is supposed to do superbly. | 83% Comb binding spine worked great August 8, 2017 These worked great- made our booklets very professional on a low budget! good value and quality July 2, 2017 Work as well as the Big name spines, good value and quality. A hundred + used already! |
Four Star Reviews: | 13% nice GBC ProClick P50 Desktop hole puncher March 10, 2017 The desktop proclick hole puncher has allowed me to create several notebooks. Like the idea of creating your own notebooks and pages could be taken out or added to the notebooks. Does a nice job, but being restricted to 6 or so ... November 16, 2016 Does a nice job, but being restricted to 6 or so pages at a time is a pain in the rear. I haven't used it much and so I cannot comment on it's longevity, but so far, so good. This can be more useful than the manufacturer says. June 20, 2015 This machine is fairly sturdy, except for the plastic access panel on the bottom. It came in the box loose, and it will not stay on becauuse of a design flaw. I needed to use the product quickly, otherwise I might have returned it. It is not a big deal, since the panel stays on with a small piece of tape. The manufacturer says there are two ways to align paper in the feed slot on the bottom. One track is for a normal 11-inch sheet, and the wider track is for oversized covers. What if you want to go smaller? To do any other size of paper, you can use the "oversized" track and just roll the punch mechanism about halfway across the sheet. Then you flip the sheet over, line it up in the same track and you get a professuional looking edge (no partially punched holes at the top and/or bottom of the page. This ONLY WORKS if your pages are exactly 10, 9, 8... etc. inches long. Fractional sizes will not come out well. Theis will only punch six pages at a time if they typical printer paper. I use card stock and three pages are the max. I used this type machine twelve years ago. They hold up well, but you think there'd be some innovations. low-cost, low-profile, and satisfactory October 13, 2012 GOOD *ultra low-cost *very light *has a solid catch for the punched bits *very low-profile; I imagine it's just about as small as you could get a full-length punch BAD *seems a bit flimsy though I have yet to break it with semi-moderate use *I wouldn't trust it for high-volume applications *can only handle a few pages at a time *no simple mechanisms for setting page sizes or making sure the pages are in properly On my half sheets it punches half a hole on the end which looks crappy. I solved it by stuffing cardboard in the slide up to the point I wanted it to stop. I had to be fairly precise but now it's working as I need it, though with a piece of cardboard sticking out of it. I didn't really see anything else I would rather have but it could certainly improve with a few features. It works fine for punching a few sheets a day. | 12% Does the job May 23, 2017 Worked with these before. Perfect for small binding jobs. I managed 14 pages but wouldn't try anything larger without a larger comb. Flimsy but works March 27, 2017 Works as intended, but a bit flimsy and thin plastic. Easy to use with my Fellowes Star+ binder! ... these for my Real Estate business and they work great. May 25, 2016 I use these for my Real Estate business and they work great. |
Three Star Reviews: | 2% After using this for about a year, it doesn't ... June 29, 2017 After using this for about a year, it doesn't alway punch the holes correctly. It will ruin an entire set of copies of not punched correctly. Nice Results, But Process Can Be Problematic January 3, 2009 I like the look of the ProClick spines, but this machine does have some drawbacks. First, if you don't have strong hands and you're working with index paper which has been laminated (about all I work with), it's really very hard to pull the half-wheel along for cutting even a single page. And if you're working with undersized paper (which is all I work with), it takes a lot of testing time to find the exact spot to place the paper so you don't wind up with half-a-hole at one end. Finally, the cutters aren't accessible, and since I'm working with sticky laminates, I'm guessing I may eventually have a problem with not being able to clean away the stickiness. But if you're working with plain letter size paper, this is a good product. | 4% Ok, for a very few pages. February 12, 2017 I seldom use these because they are so small even with the number of sheets they claim will they will hold. I would start with the 1/2" ones. Wish they came in colors! June 13, 2014 The product meets expectations, but I wish they came in colors. Basic black or white don't always look good with colorful covers. These are really, really small December 31, 2013 I was pretty sure that I wanted these small combs to bind books at school with students, because the only ones we had were really big. We only needed about 20 pages bound per book, but we couldn't even make it work for 10 pages. I would say to get the next size up! Doesn't work on Fellowes Star machine March 12, 2011 We couldn't get the comb to work on the Fellowes Star binding machine because this size is too small. Basically had to bind the book manually. Fortunately, it was only 7 pages so it wasn't hard to do. We'll be going with one size up to bind even small books. |
Two Star Reviews: | 4% No longer giving enough margin on the left--open holes are impossible to bind August 11, 2016 This product worked great--for a while. Now, after punching many pages, it cannot punch more than two sheets of regular paper and still leave enough paper on the edge for the holes to remain closed. I push the sheets all the way in, hold them there, and still the holes are open on the margin because the paper seems to not be going in enough (I can't put them in any further). I am so disappointed that my 1 year warranty expired before this started happening, as this machine is expensive. disappointing March 4, 2011 Okay, making bound documents for the kid's school projects at home is good and so this thing is good for home use but it is NOT good for any sort of commercial use.I bought it to use in my classroom and it is essentially useless. If you punch more than two sheets of paper at a time, it breaks. In fact, the first time I used it the stupid thing broke and I had to return it for a new one. As a system, it works but just barely. There have got to be better quality systems out there...this one is cheap, plastic junk. Don't buy it. Nice-looking binding, but....... November 21, 2009 I was going to buy one of these machines, but fortunately it wasn't in stock at the time. I really like the way it looks---better than comb binding. So, I bought one of their kits. You can manually make two documents with 50 prepunched pages, covers & spines . I played with the plastic spines and found that they pop open easily, and they can also break if you bend them while manually placing the paper on the rings.I'm not really happy with the way the comb binding looks, but it's a tried & true system, with lots of supplies available, including the capability of printing the title on the comb. Guess I'll comb bind my book or have it printed & bound somewhere. | 1% Not a secure bind June 7, 2016 These columns do not stay closed well, I have to bend/crimp them in order for pages not to fall out. |
One Star Reviews: | 5% Not suitable March 8, 2017 Was not suitable for metric sized paper here in Australia...paper didn't fit into the unit....that information needs to be stated in the description.... I had seen it used on some reviews and thought it would be great. But sadly it arrived October 14, 2016 I was excited to receive the ProClick P50 Binding Machine, I had seen it used on some reviews and thought it would be great. But sadly it arrived, the box was damaged and the product did not work. I have to return it now. One star from me sadly. Device broke after about 300 pages :( August 19, 2008 This device worked wonderfully (I was able to create books out of pdf ebooks I own), but then around the 300th page the slider broke off from the internal metal hole punchers. I'm going to go into my garage and get a screwdriver and see if I can fix this. But this is a very flimsy, shoddily-made product. I had a strict rule of never punching more than 5 pages at a time, so I certainly wasn't abusing the product. | 0% There are no reviews yet |
