After a VERY easy set up
February 17, 2016
I ordered this computer from amazon and it was marked as 'used, damage to packaging'. I ordered it on a Saturday morning and it arrived on Monday. After a VERY easy set up, I plugged in the included mouse and key bored and started surfing the web. Although I am very very happy with the computer I am not happy with the included windows 8.1 or the upgrade to 10.
Dell Inspiron Desktop Computer

My third Dell. This one came with Windows 8.1 with a free upgrade to Windows 10 which a good friend did for me. GREAT RESULT compared to my 2000XP Operating System. What can I do with 600 G BITS OF MEMORY ??? Arrived in PERFECT shape from Amazon. More than I need, but I'm glad that I have it. Just happen to be USING it right now.
amazon demanded the right stuff and right price for this machine...no brainer...
October 31, 2015
windows 10, all the current ports, good motherboard and processor, high quality standard machine for any regular home user for browsing, MS office, movies etc. gaming would definately tax this machine, it is not made for that. i am considering buy 4 more gb of memory... not necessary tho. best machine for this price...luv how amazon coordinates the manufacturers for us to put out an amazon quality product... super. just buy it if yours is 5 or more years old...wireless, bluetooth, usb3 port, windows 10...just do it.
So far, so good
August 15, 2015
My last computer was a Gateway with Vista on it, so naturally this is a vast improvement. Unlike my old Gateway, I like the keyboard and mouse that came with the Dell, and the sleek design of the box. It's smaller too and lightweight. No major problems so far. A couple of minor complaints -- I don't like the white power button light. I prefer blue because it's less distracting. I know that's very trivial, but I don't see why they went to white. Less trivial is the problem of Windows 10 freezing during restarts (not sure if 8.1 had that problem too, or not), so when I have to restart, like after upgrading software, I shut down instead and then start it up again. Also, some advice: if your PC comes with windows 8.1, upgrade your Dell Backup & Recovery BEFORE upgrading to Windows 10 or it messes things up. One other observation, but this is a Windows thing, not a Dell thing -- the Windows Calendar is worthless because it only works online, so I had to install Rainlendar. Vista had a better calendar. Bottom line: I haven't had the computer very long. It might crash and burn at any moment. But so far, so good.

To begin with it is wonderfully lightweight. It comes with a keyboard. Has 5 ports. Easy to set up. Best of all it works! So I'm very pleased with my purchase so far. Think that the price was right.

Great price for a great product
June 19, 2016
Excellent Monitor especially for the price! I have had no problem with this monitor in fact I'm planning on ordering a second one. I have it sitting next to an older monitor and it makes my old one unusable. The same with my laptop. I have no complaints it a fantastic deal on a great product.Decided to purchase a gaming monitor since i built a gaming PC. I went with the 144hz since it was recommended even though its pricier. Best decision i ever made. I played on my friends 60hz and it was horrible. If you're going to get one and you're worried about the price definitely get this one other companies charge for their name like benq. Great quality and best price for 144hz would strongly recommend!
Exactly what I needed
April 7, 2016
Exactly what I needed.I bought this to go with a new desktop computer. It's the first monitor I've purchased.Pros:-Gets going really fast. Super easy to plug in and go.-Nice, comfortable size. Nice improvement from the 17 inch laptop screen I'm used to.-Doesn't hurt my eyes-Games look pretty damn good with a nice graphics cardCons:-I had to do a bit of brightness/contrast/gamma correction so that the colors looked good. Windows has a built in program that helps with that though. I imagine this is something you should do for every new monitor, so it's not a big deal at all.- Colors change with tilt. Honestly though, it's not as bad as some people are describing in their reviews. The monitor will tilt, so it's easy to adjust. As long as you can find a comfortable watching angle (which could be achieved with any desk/table + chair), it's perfectly fine.Need a budget monitor that will work and look nice? Get it!
Great monitor!
March 15, 2016
I needed an additional monitor for work so I spend some time comparing a number of different monitors. After many hours of comparisons I decided to purchase this acer monitor. It was the right price, the right size and had all of the features that I was looking for.The monitor came packaged nicely in a typical box that a monitor would come in. It had plenty of support so that it didn't break during shipping. It was very very easy to setup and only took a couple of minutes to get it up and running. It has a number of different adjustment features so that you can adjust the screen to your liking. The picture quality is great, nice and clear and easy to read. I am considering purchasing an additional monitor for work use as well and looking at buying this same monitor because it has worked so amazing for me. I would highly suggest this monitor for anyone in the market!!
An Awesome Product!
January 26, 2016
I was really really happy with this monitor. It comes with EVERYTHING you need, including cables. The best part about it, besides its great resolution is the buttons used to configure the contrast, brightness, etc. are all labeled on the screen once you activate them. So there's no frustration about figuring out the right button to press. Its factory settings are a little bright, but, with the help of your computer, you can adjust it. This is a great buy, I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone!
Great!
December 14, 2015
My first impressions of this monitor were that it is *very* thin...like pretty damn thin. Which is why you actually have to use a DC power adapter to plug the monitor *in*. AND be warned, plugging the DVI input in feels really dangerous because of how thin the screen is and the fact that it's directly on the back of the screen, not oriented on the bottom of the screen. So screwing in the pins of a DVI cable feels like you might snap the screen or damage the internals, but, you should be fine.Overall a great monitor for the price. I'm using it as a third display for menial tasks and side projects to multi-task on, i have a main monitor for gaming and i wouldn't really recommend this monitor for gaming as it doesn't do too well with colors.Definitely a great buy. Would buy again.:)

This is a wonderful screen. The color and resolution is great on here, and it provides a wonderful picture. I have used it for my computer to hook it and have a larger screen to use while I do either projects with my cricut tools or reading homework etc. I did have to buy a cord that hooks into the VGA port and converts to the HDMI port in order to have an HDMI port so that I could hook up my Roku box to the screen and watch movies off of that computer screen. For the price, this is a great investment and addition to your computer and to use for a "TV screen" when utilizing some type of streaming device to watching tv/movies. I highly recommend this product to others looking into purchasing a monitor!!

1440p is the ONLY way to go
December 28, 2016
This monitor still has me smiling over a week later. I keep on playing Battlefield 1 and literally saying outloud "Holy cow this is amazing". 1440p just looks SOOOO good. I bought a Nvidia 1070 along with this and I wish I bought it sooner. I ONLY use my computer at home for playing video games such as Battlefield 1, heroes of the storm, rocket league, WoW, skyrim, etc. This monitor is honestly beautiful. The stand is pretty cheap and the monitor slightly wobbles if I'm mashing my keyboard, but its not bad enough to take away a star. This monitor is just great.Edit: Fixed a typo.

Wow. OK, I only got this 20 minutes ago but.....I think I am in love. I am using an i5 4200U laptop (Lenovo) with Intel HD 4600 graphics and this was plug-and-play via HDMI at 2560x1440 at 59 or 60 hertz (not sure why the default was 59 but 60 was the other option (I didn't mess with it)). It is a VERY noticeable change from my 1080p 23" screen. I had a great little tablet that was 2560x1440 on a 10" screen and I always hated how things looked so nice there but so blah on my main computer screen. Well....no more! In Lightroom (I'm a photographer), the picture in the main view is HUGE now with all the extra screen real estate (both from the 25" versus 23" screen but also because the increased resolution allows for smaller side bars). HUGE and SHARP.The speakers are a bit tinny and I will keep using my external speakers but.....for $259 this this is AMAZING and a STEAL! Don't be fooled by the low price, this thing is fantastic.
The most beautiful monitor for the price
July 26, 2016
This monitor is amazing, especially for the price. It looks absolutely beautiful and bezel free design is very sleek looking. I use it on the full 2560x1440 resolution all the time and it's a joy to look at.Games look really amazing at full WQHD on this and I was able to drop the AA down to only 4x and it looked just as good as 1020p on 16x.The monitor stand seemed wobbly at first, but then I realized you need to actually flip it over, remove the screw, THEN put the monitor attachment into the stand. Finally, you put the screw back in and crank it down, very very steady now. Also, this monitor DOES tilt between -5 and +15 degrees. It was a little disconcerting at first because I could see the bezel bend. If you place your hand on the base and give the top a firm but slow shove it will start to tilt. It becomes easier to tilt it after this initial "breaking free" of the pivot.
Fantastic menu system and controls. Far easier to use than even the expensive monitors.
December 12, 2015
27 inches of screen space!I initially bought this screen to act as a TV monitor in my exercise room. Well, when it came there wasn't an HDMI port. That information was kind of hidden by Amazon. They had collapsed the 5 bullet points under the picture and it was the last bullet point. So I took one of my ViewSonic monitors that had HDMI and swapped it.I'm surprised, but this monitor does just as well as the ViewSonic. In fact, I like it better. They are both 27", but the stand is shorter on the Acer compared to the ViewSonic. The brightness is good, the contrast is good, and everything else seemed similar except for the controls.CONTROLSI love the controls on the Acer. They are well placed, easy to see, and super easy to use. The power button is longer than the others which sit flush. Because of this, it is easy to see and they shine some light on it so that you can find it easily. You can just bump your finger under it and push up and the monitor turns on and off. Far easier than the ViewSonic monitor which I have to fight with because of its touch sensitive button. When you hit one of the buttons an on screen menu appears. The great thing about this is each option is displayed right above the location of the button on the underside of the screen. You don't need pictures or icons to let you know which one to hit for an option. Instead, just push the button for the option you see on the screen. This made navigating the menu system incredibly easy. I was able to adjust any setting I wanted to without hitting a lot of wrong keys. The cost of the monitor was over $100 less than the ViewSonic. And I feel the quality is the same and with the menus the way they are, it is my favorite. I'll be getting more of these because my work needs to replace some older and smaller monitors. These are so big and at $170, it is quite the deal.

These monitors side by side look great and perform great as well! I am hoping to get a Mount for my desk when i am able to and these will be able to mount because they have the VESA mounting spots on the back of the Monitor!

Tonka Tested....Daddy approved!!
September 22, 2017
I have kids that dont like to keep thier hands off of things that are not meant for them to play with. (I.E. dads wireless keyboard) I went with a cheaper model so when they inevitably stomp on it, drop it, or spill something on it I wont be too heartbroken. Setup was easy... Plug in the usb dongle, remove the little tags from the surprise included batteries, turn them on and your set!! (On windows 10 at least). Very next day your son deciceds to drive his 1970s model Tonka dumptruck over the keyboard a few times, THEN proceeds to DROP said Tonka on top when he realizes hes been caught. Bet your envisioning keys everywhere, cracked plastic and death to my fancy new wireless keyboard huh? Nope!! 1 little scratch of the paint on the Win key! Not a stuck or broken key everything works flawlessly. Now dont go buying this thinking its indestructable, Can pretty much assure you it has a weakness, they all do, my kids just havent found it yet! Surprising little tidbit I read on the box and not in the description; the keyboard batteries last up to 36 months and the mouse goes for 18. If I get 6 months outta the (not advertised) included batteries Ill be a happy camper. My old set was lucky to get a month!! Anyhow everything with this set has surpassed my expectations by leaps and bounds. Its light, comfortable, and works fantastically from my couch (12 or so feet from the pc). Im not a power user or super gamer so did not need all the programable buttons and whatnot some of the more costly models include. But I am a cordcutter and my PC is mostly used for tv and movies. The volume keys are awesome for that. And i do like the other function keys. So for the price and features this is a deal and a half to me. Should this one get destroyed by my children I will definately reorder the same.
Great Device Combination, Cheap Price.
August 23, 2017
Great device combination, cheap price. I bought this pair because the keyboard in my laptop didn't operate reliably, and I needed that function to work for me without problems. This pair appealed to me for two reasons: first, it was wireless, so as long as I had a spare USB port for its dongle, which I did, I was in business. Second, it was so inexpensive that I assessed that I could buy it on speculation, and not feel badly about tossing it if it didn't do the job for me. As it happened, it has worked so well that I purchased another set, so that I could leave one at home and one on my campus, and avoid packing it when I went from home to campus. Oh, and, the feel of the keys is quite satisfying, in contrast to the laptop's own, and the mouse beats its touchpad utterly. What's not to like?
Amazing for the price
June 19, 2017
For the price, this is an amazing deal. I am by no means a keyboard fanatic, I do not care about the sound or feedback, but as far as I can tell this is a very solid keyboard and mouse. It's not very nice, it being entirely made out of plastic, but what can you expect from a $20 Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard? The set up process was amazing, I put in the bluetooth dongle, flipped a switch on the mouse and keyboard and I instantly started using it, no set up required. At worst, the keyboard has hanged every now and then. Nothing appears on screen and then woosh, all of my sentances instantly type themselves out. That's only happened a few times out of the many hours I've used the set. Also, you won't have to change the batteries for a whole year pretty much, which is a relief.
while it is nice not having the red light underneath at least when ...
July 1, 2016
while its not the loudest keyboard i have ever had it you can hear when the keys fly back to the ready position. The wireless function i was able to get to work to about 35 feet away in a conference room with out a problem. for the price point I don't think this combo can be beet. I do wish there were a way to tell the mouse is on besides moving it around with the computer on. while it is nice not having the red light underneath at least when it was visible light you knew your mouse was working and on:) I will try to respond back when the battery dies in the mouse and keyboard respectively to give a good understanding of product life. This review was typed out on the keyboard!
Worked Perfectly and Wireless!
March 16, 2016
It seems as though once one person gets a wireless keyboard and mouse then everyone wants one! I have even had people steal each others at work so I went ahead and purchased a bunch knowing they go quickly. This is a basic wireless combo with a keyboard and mouse. It's not the fancy version but gets the job done. You basically take the usb piece and plug it into your computer and BAM!! it works with no wires. In my experience Logitech has been a good brand for these types of items. I haven't had many issues with them overall. Sometimes you will get it where it loses connection or someone else picks up your wireless and you'll see a phantom pointer moving on your screen. I haven't had these issues with these new logitech mouse and keyboard. I am very satisfied and so are my coworkers who use them! I have also purchased the upgraded version and it works well too! I would definitely recommend this product and brand.
Plug in the USB gizmo and pull the tab on the batteries in the mouse and keyboard to get power, and Shazam! It works.
August 1, 2015
I got this great package yesterday, and it replaced my old wired keyboard and mouse on my old HP computer. It works great. I had problems with the built in mouse pad on the Chromebook 15, and my RN wife was afraid that I might end up with carpal tunnel syndrome and to suggested I try this cordless set with my Acer Chromebook. So, I tried it on my new Acer Chromebook 15, and it worked very well.It works great, and may be faster with the mouse on the Chrome book versus the HP.I had been considering buying the Acer Chrome Desk Top. If I can use a system to transfer the Image to my HP VGA 22 monitor, I will use my Chromebook 15 for what I now use my HP for on my office desk. The only mild complaint, is I can't find a sleep key for my HP monitor. So, I just push the off button.

So far, so good
July 5, 2017
This does just what I needed - using it as a second screen for both my work (PC) laptop and personal (Mac) laptop. - I can alternate between computers using an input selection button on the monitor, and if one computer is not running, the monitor will auto select over to the running machine. The picture is clear and colorful, and it's a good size for both writing documents and doing Photoshop work. The only negatives I can think of would be the lack of HDMI connection and the inability to adjust the height. It is possible to tilt the monitor, though, which is helpful. All in all, for the price, this works great for me.
Great 1440p Monitor
January 25, 2016
Really great monitor. I've been using it for a month, and I have not noticed any dead pixels so far. 1440p looks great at this size, and I don't feel any scaling is necessary at 25 inches (some will say 27 inches is ideal for 1440p, but I rather like the pixel density I'm getting with this). The monitor is easily view-able from any angle, and I haven't needed to touch the color controls as it's IPS display is gorgeous as is. I've had no light bleeding through, either.I use this to play games, and I will also note I've had no problems with ghosting or response times. I've even managed to crank up the monitor to a stable 81 Hz refresh rate, so that was a great bonus. I had no problems connecting it to a current generation video card (R9 390). Some have complained about the speakers it comes with. Frankly, it sounds the same as the speakers that come with any TV or monitor. That is to say, mediocre, but perfectly acceptable to watch Netflix with. I think most people buy their own speakers or a nice pair of headphones for their monitors anyway. The one complaint other users have had that I will validate is the stand. It's rather flimsy feeling. Every time I go to turn the monitor on, there is a button on the bottom of the screen you need to press. If I don't also put a finger on the top of the screen to stabilize it, it will wobble a bit when I press any of the buttons on the bottom. I'm a bit concerned the monitor will outlive the stand (partially because it seems like such a great monitor that I see no need to replace it in the next 5 or more years), and I'm not quite sure what to do about that.Overall, I think this is the best buy-in value you can make for a 1440p monitor. The only things I would change is giving it a different stand and maybe free-sync.
Acer Monitor
January 21, 2016
This monitor did quite well for the reason I bought it - easier to read sharper text for my old tired eyes. My previous one was a flat screen analogue (not wide screen). The wide screen here makes quite a difference. I'm disappointed that I have to look at it square on to avoid a faded out look. I do find the simple up and down tilt quite adequate though. As others had said, it comes with full brightness. Turning it down turned out to be a problem, as all those little buttons underneath had me quite conflugerated. Tried to follow the instructions but finally got the brightness down to a reasonable level by hit and miss. That tiny instruction book is a joke - again for my eyes. But all in all I'm pretty happy with the monitor. (Durn it - where did that cursor go again?)
Overall good monitor for $89. If you are at all into photography, etc then consider upgrading to an Acer with better specs.
January 19, 2016
Lets face it. I paid $89 for this monitor so I could impress the ladies. And by ladies I mean my wife. And she's not impressed. But she is happy so I've got that going for me. That said....the negatives are the colors aren't very vibrant and it doesn't have an HDMI input. I didn't notice that last part before buying it. I ended up having to buy a DVI-D to mini display cable. Keep in mind it has two inputs (DVI-D & VGA).Overall good monitor for $89. If you are at all into photography, etc then consider upgrading to an Acer with better specs.
Good monitor but no holes for VESA mounts and no HDMI
December 10, 2015
Is a pretty good monitor. Biggest drawback is does not have holes for VESA mounts. Also the bracket with holes is about $32, meaning you can buy a better monitor with holes... for the same price or cheaper.Of course I just had the bracket made as I bought 10 of them for a CCTV security monitor display, but STILL.No HDMI means another $5 for HDMI to DVI connector. Again the monitor is fine but the ups and extras add to a better monitor for the same approx price. Also NO SPEAKER if you're considering using it for a cable tv/satellite display.
Great deal, HD display, colors brighter, but has little washout issue.
December 1, 2015
I bought this during black Friday, so I'm extremely pleased with the price. Regarding the product itself, it's Full HD, so the experience of showing two windows(left-right) concurrently and watching movies is very good. It's easy to set up, with only three parts. There's no need for additional tools to set it up. If you are connecting your laptop to this monitor, as I am doing, then you might want buy the HDMI-DVI adapter cable as well. The adapter cable is around $6, and Amazon has its own product for it, which works well from my experience. Yes, there is the washout problem as mentioned in other reviews. However, on the other hand, you get brighter colors when watching movies or viewing pictures. I tested the screen color display, and it's distinguishable even at 1% level (good monitor requires <=2%). So despite the washout issue, with the black friday promotion and the great price, I think the product is satisfying. I'm not an expert on this, and I don't use the monitor to do fancy stuff. So for me, the product is at least 4 stars.

If you have a bad sense of touch
July 24, 2017
Acer G277HL Abid 27-Inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) Widescreen DisplayNo complaints. When researching, I saw some people complained about the control buttons on the front-right bottom of the monitor. There are no pictures indicating where the buttons are and they are very small. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and still have to feel around for the tiny buttons. I have to put my finger to the far right and drag it along so I hit the first (power) button. I left some of the plastic shipping protection on the monitor and sometimes I confuse that for the button, that's how small they are. I still frequently hit the second button from the right. If you have a bad sense of touch, big fingers or are clumsy, you might find it difficult to find the right button. I don't think it's an issue for most people, I don't take any stars off because of it.I bought this for $139.99. At full price, I think this is only 4-stars because there are other similarly priced 27" monitors. If you can get this on sale, it's worth it. Most other monitors with similar prices to what I paid were 23". I went big and don't regret it.
Great, but not quite miraculous
April 18, 2016
So mine arrived with a bright spot on the monitor. It's this little spot that is slightly brighter than the rest of the screen. The pixels aren't dead, they're just brighter. It only shows up against a white background. It hasn't proven to be a dealbreaker for me, considering I've heard that there are so many things that could go wrong with this monitor that are much worse.I will say that I bought this to pair with a gaming desktop, and it does not disappoint. I'm no expert when it comes to the finer points of refresh rates and ghosting, but I can say that after testing every game in my Steam library (around 100), 1440p does not disappoint. Games are crisp and clear and the color is beautiful right out of the box. I have it sitting on a small desk where I am sitting relatively close to the screen, and its immersive to say the least.Bear in mind that you need a powerful graphics card to drive games at 1440p with decent settings. My desktop is equipped with a GTX 970 and it can handle most things, but you do find that maxing out newer games at 1440p can cause a certain degree of stuttering in the framerate (most notably The Witcher 3, but I stabilized it by turning off Hairworks...because it's Hairworks).I'm writing this review just to make it clear that this stand is flimsy. It rocks slightly when typing heavily to the point where it is simply annoying. I intend to buy adhesive strips to secure it to the desk, but that's not the most elegant of solutions. In short, you're getting the tech without the frills. Understand that those frills can make a big difference, and plan accordingly.

If you're on a budget and want 1440p, this is the monitor for you.

Purchased this review looking to venture into 1440p under $300. Currently using this monitor on Mac OS X 10.11.2 and it is working natively without hassle. Fantastic picture, and the monitor is bright enough to read the smaller text (in comparison to 1080p) without strain Pros and cons are as follows.Pros:-bright display-no dead pixels-plenty of added workspace in comparison to 1080p (can fit four 720p windows on the same display)-works straight out of the box at native resolution in OS X (haven't used this monitor with Windows yet, will report back)Cons:-no VESA mount ability (not really important, but some may consider this a con)-stand is a bit wobbly-my particular unit has a two or three millimeter gap between the display and the casing on the left side, which lets off a little bit of light bleed on the bottom left corner of the display. No big deal if you're sitting centered in front of the monitor (as you can't see it in this position), but it should nonetheless be mentioned.
Not bad... Good price.
July 30, 2015
Decent monitor. You do get what you pay for with the price. I use AutoCad as a draftsman and this monitor is adequate for that however someone doing serious graphics may want to look elsewhere. Text is a little fuzzy and the color distorts at the slightest shift of viewing angle. The overall image appears to be slightly pixelated. The stand is a bit rickety also. The display is pretty shaky on the stand that it comes with. Any slight movement or even someone walking by my desk causes the monitor to shake. I would suggest purchasing wall or desk mount to add stability. No HDMI but that is not a big deal to me. You have to realize when you buy this that it is not a high end monitor. I works well for gaming and movies (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) look pretty good. Overall a decent budget friendly monitor.
Way better than a standard HD display - a bargain
April 8, 2015
I bought the Acer WQHD monitor for my new Macbook Pro and was looking for a reasonably priced 2560X1440 display. If you've shopped around, you'll know that it's hard to beat the price on this monitor. If you're looking for a low-cost, IPS WQHD display that can run at 60Hz, then soon enough you'll land here.Pros:- Excellent price and feature set- Very bright, rich display- Clean design- All the necessary connectionsCons:- Display feels a little washed out- Hardly any adjustments on the stand (not an issue for me, but could be a problem for others)- Claims to come with a DPS connector, but none in my packageOverall it's very hard to beat the value. Way better than a standard HD display.

I like almost everything
October 8, 2017
I like almost everything. It worked right out of the box. Wonderful! Its shortcomings are, the # sign is NOT the "upper case" 3. What is typed is the English currency pound sign. Was this keyboard made for England??? Another caveat is the @ sign. The @ sign is NOT the "upper case" 2. And, then it stands to reason, " (quote) is not on the keyboard next to the ENTER key.1. I figured out the @ and " were interchangeable. So when I am typing an e-mail address I use the " key, and when using quotes, I use the upper case 2.2. The # sign was ALL TOGETHER different. I was going to return the keyboard because I use lots and lots of # signs. I ACCIDENTLlY came accross the #. It was the back slash!!!!3. So where is the back slash???? Can someone help?? I don't want to return because I know this "happened" on three of these brand new boards. So it definitely is the board. Is there a way to change, is there a way to program and F key for the back slash (if I can find out where it is...)4. I will be calling the company tomorrow, wish me luck.
Works with Ubuntu 17.04 Linux, good value for the $
September 23, 2017
Works well with Ubuntu 17.04 once I installed the Solaar package. Otherwise only the mouse was paired with the unifying receiver. Solarr lets you pair multiple devices. It's available on github (posting a link here is not allowed). Keys are OK for an inexpensive non-mechanical keyboard. I would not do a lot of writing or programming but for casual use it is OK. Mouse is actually pretty good;: it even mostly works on glass (1/4", bottom surface frosted) but works better on paper or fabric. For the price, it's hard to beat.
Good K&M combo for the average user in the average home
June 19, 2017
I used to have a huge wireless keyboard and mouse (also by logitech). Had it for a few years, but it started to get crudded up. I tried to clean it myself, but then saw that this was available for cheap so I decided to get it. I like that it's light and fairly quiet. Seems pretty resistant to dust and dirt and crumbs so far. Not crazy about the small size of the mouse, though. This is like a kid's mouse. I need something that fits an adult hand (and I dont even have that big of a hand!).Not the greatest K&M combo in the world, but good for home use and the price is right.
Good, but...
April 20, 2017
This mouse uses a 2.4ghz signal. The same as a home wifi network. In our apartment building, there are a lot of competing signals and the mouse keeps being cut off. We have it hooked to my dad's Chromebox that he has hooked to the tv and uses from across the living room, so it's 10-15 feet away. It may work better if we'd use it for a computer right on the desk. The keyboard works wonderfully, though. I just bought a bluetooth mouse to replace this one and we aren't having any problems. I don't think there is anything wrong with the mouse, other than that it has the weakest signal.
Best keyboard for the price.
June 24, 2016
This is the best keyboard ever since it is so simple and cheap. Don't care for the mouse. I like my Logitech MX Master. The Logitech MX Master can work on either Bluetooth or a Logitech Unifying receiver. The downside with this keyboard is that it has a proprietary USB dongle that only works with this keyboard. It seems like with the Bluetooth technology we have today that my MacBook Pro's Bluetooth antenna should be able to handle a simple keyboard. I like bluetooth only devices because my laptop only has 2 USB ports and when I bring it to work I don't want to have to plug a million things into it. I have my external monitor and my USB dongle for this keyboard. The bluetooth only keyboards that I have seen available are more designed for travel use and have weird layouts of the keys. The layout on this keyboard is perfect for my needs and is easy to type on, so I can't move on to anything else yet.
Great value for OK equipment
January 4, 2016
At $19 with batteries included this is a great value. The keyboard feels OK. It has an ON/OFF switch, but does not have an indicator light to show that it is ON. A light might help me remember to turn it off to save battery. It worked reliably from 30 feet away. The M185 mouse is OK. It's significantly lighter than my old Logitech M305 mouse, and has smooth plastic sides where the M305 has nice grippy sides. This M185 mouse has an On/Off switch, but has no indicator light on top, and the motion tracker on the bottom seems to use light outside my range of vision. It hasn't been an issue for me, but it seems like it might have been nicer if the keyboard and the mouse used the same size batteries. The Keyboard uses two AAA, the mouse uses one AA battery.

Runs slow right out of the box. But serves its purpose for the price. I primarily use it for Microsoft Office suite programs, video streaming, and internet. Processes are slow but do-able. I'm a graduate student and needed a budget savvy desktop, just wish it had RAM expansion availability.

Small system, better with Windows 10.
October 15, 2015
Nice compact size but even after removing the bloatware the system was still too slow as far as I am concerned. Has been installed for over a month now and no issues at all though from the user. Upgraded it to Windows 10 and the speed was better.

This screen is NOT made to be mounted :(
October 10, 2017
The screens are okay. I was trying to hook up my co-worker with a dual monitor set-up, so I ordered two of these Acer 21.5" screens. We got them in and set them up. I ordered a dual monitor stand separately so I could mount the 2 screens on a stand. ANYWAY, got the screens out of the box and set them up to stand alone, since we were waiting another day on the Monitor mounting stand................. THESE SCREENS ARE NOT MADE TO BE MOUNTED -- BUYER BEWARE. It doesn't really tell you that in the product description. I tried to save $20 by finding these online myself... and it cost me $200 because they are capable of being mounted. Boxes were thrown away that night by office cleaners, so I cannot return. Just beware.............
Monitor ok, but company's lack of good instructions rather poor!
September 2, 2017
I would say that the lack of instruction for assembling this screen base was disconcerting. The parts were shown but not how they were to be assembled...no pictures of how they went together. Of course I did get the base put together anyway. I am also not happy with the buttons for adjusting the screen to how you like it. No instruction for that either and after pushing all the three buttons, one at a time, I did get the window open, but it was confusing and did not seem to do much! I'm say that LACK of operational instruction is the worst thing about this product.
Great beginner 1440p with overclocking refresh rate but glare that can be annoying.
April 1, 2017
If you are looking for a cheap 1440p monitor that you can overclock the refresh rate then this is a great monitor. I manage to get mine to sit at 80hz no problem. There are a few issues though. If they weren't visual then I wouldn't dock too much from it but they are. I knew IPS monitors glare easily but I always assumed that the glare would come from something else. The glare on my monitor comes from the monitor. The position I sit causes the glare to show up near the bottom and a little on the top. The glare moves around as I move around. The fortunate part is this is only obvious when the background is dark and my brain eventually ignores it if I'm not paying too much attention to it.Second issue I have is depending on the window I can see the pixels when windows are moved. I tried switching ports, updating drivers, and etc.Thankfully this is only obvious with certain windows. The color of the window for Discord is perfect and when I move it around it's very obvious, but others it's very faint or I don't see it at all. If this changes in the future I will update my review.Do I recommend this? Yes. If you really want a 1440p monitor but don't want to shell out 500+ then this is perfect. Just don't expect the monitor to be perfect.
No VESA holes and poor viewing angles
February 24, 2016
No VESA mounting holes? Seriously? Yes, I know it's stated in the specs, but every other monitor ever made has these mounting holes. And this wasn't an issue until the person I got them for, decided later that they wanted them raised on a monitor arm. I had to spent another $60 for adapters, and the whole thing looks like a complete kludge. (Check out Gladiator Joe for adapters.) This monitor also has a horribly narrow viewing angle. If you're not dead-on eye level with it, it gets all washed out, or dark, depending on the viewing height. Contrast in a well lit room is also poor. It's definitely a $99 monitor.
Good for its price.
December 27, 2015
Very affordable monitor that looks pretty good overall. But the low price comes with some baggage. The screen is washed out at any viewing angle that is just a few degrees out of ideal dead-on. I had to set the monitor up higher than I had intended to because I couldn't always make out things like dialogue boxes on websites. Plus, my computer puts out the same resolution as this monitor displays native, and yet some text takes on a slightly blocky texture that normally only happens when you haven't matched output to native resolution. It is minor but it you are a perfectionist than you have no business looking at this monitor.
Bad viewing angles, but it works
December 17, 2015
I bought this for $69.99 over Black Friday weekend as a second monitor. For the price I got it for, I guess I don't mind how shitty the monitor is. The screen has really really bad viewing angles. Moving my head half an inch in any irection changes how washed out the screen looks. I may also have gotten some light bleed on the bottom side of the screen. Currently it's selling for $89.99, definitely don't think it's worth that.My main monitor is an Acer H226HQL bid, and the side-by-side comparison really makes this monitor look bad. Colors look washed out, I tried playing with color calibration and brightness/contrast, doesn't really help. Only time this monitor looks similar to the main monitor is when my eye level is near my table, so maybe I just gotta tilt it upwards.Ugh. I think I might try to sell this on craigslist or something.p.s. will try to remember to upload photos

Passable as a cheap CHEAP secondary budget monitor
August 11, 2017
MODELS VARY - ** THIS REVIEW ** is of the bottom of the line 19.5" 1600 X 900 dpi G206HQL. I bought the bottom of this series on a whim as a backup monitor. One should always have a backup monitor eh? It was only $79.99. I had one of my security monitors die today, I finally unboxed the ACER G206HQLTHE GOOD: It comes with both VGA and DVI-D cables (aside from power supply and stand). It will tilt forward or backwards about (I'm guessing) 15 - 20 degrees.THE BAD: It's a cheap, lackluster display output. MAYBE it would look better of my video card on that system had DVI output. I find going from VGA to DVI gains about 10% of "snap" or better picture quality. This will be "something" for now, but even for my security camera output which is 3Megapixel, this is not true HD.Moral: You get what you pay for. There is no way this would work as a main , production monitor for business use (text legibility). Even casual surfing would be a bit tedious on this. Only buy this if you really don't care or are on a budget. Who knows maybe the ones up the ladder in this model series are a bit better? I can't speak to that.
It didn't feel like it was going to break
June 11, 2017
It worked. The stand, as everyone has said, was flimsy plastic, but not as flimsy as I expected. It didn't feel like it was going to break. No dead pixels or anything, aesthetically pleasing design. The issue is the color quality. The colors are perpetually washed compared to other, even cheaper ips panels I've used. Investigating reveals the panel is a wide viewing angle equivalent of IPS, not real IPS.It's easily the cheapest 1440p monitor of its size, and it works. Those are the good points. Bad is the color. I sold it and bought a different monitor in the end.

The reason I didn't give this less stars is because the screen is beautiful. Amazing colors
October 14, 2016
PRODUCT ARRIVED DAMAGED. BEZEL DETACHED FROM SCREEN, AND LIGHT SHINES THROUGH. WTF.The reason I didn't give this less stars is because the screen is beautiful. Amazing colors, everything else is absolutely perfect.. BUT it came broken... I'm not sure if I will ask for a replacement or some money back.. I'm worried about asking for a replacement and receiving one in even worse condition than this one. I've read other reviews and heard terrible stories. So.. I'm not sure if sending this back, just to get another one that's even more broken (in a week or so from now) is worth it... I'll take pictures and attach it to this review tomorrow. Happy with everything aside from that.. So.. If you get a good one..Awesome. If not.. Well.. then it sucks.
Good for the price, but has room for improvement (the stand is a PITA)
November 20, 2015
This ACER monitor gets the job done at 2560x1440, though it does have some issues. A breakdown of my experience (I've been using it for two months as my primary monitor):Pros:-1440 resolution at an affordable price.-Good color reproduction.Cons:-The stand is terrible! If (as I do) you multipurpose your computer and do close up tasks (gaming, productivity) and far away tasks (movies) the ability to adjust the monitor angle is critical. On this monitor, you must grab the top of the monitor (HARD) and the base, and really work at making it move. Non-vesa, not easily adjustable.-Buttons are cheap and hard to actuate--including the power button.-The big silver bezel is...shall we say unattractive? I've had the monitor for a while and I still find it distracting.-Screen brightness is a little non-uniform. Not enough to really bother me, but it's definitely darker at the edges. Not really a con, but just FYI--this monitor does not overclock well.Would I buy it again? Honestly, the stand issue bothers me more than it probably should (probably because I have to adjust it so often). If you're a set it and forget it kind of user, this is a pretty good monitor for the price.
You get what you pay for
March 29, 2015
I ordered two of these monitors for a dual-screen work environment. They were only OK, not great. The two monitors had very different white balance, even for the same factory default settings. I tried to make them match, but couldn't quite get them looking the same. Also, both monitors had a very faint spot, in the exact same place, where the picture was a little brighter than the rest of the monitor. I ended up returning these monitors and spending a little extra for a better monitor. I am going to be staring at these things 40 hours a week, after all.

Good Keyboard - Lousy Mouse
October 6, 2017
As expected, based on the price, the keyboard and mouse are both lightweight and cheap. However, I like the feel of the keyboard. It's keys are more "old school", which I definitely prefer over the lower profile types. The mouse is pretty poor, though. The plastic edges of the lighter color band wrapping around the top of the mouse can be felt, so it doesn't feel smooth in the hand and will certainly pick up hand grime. The roller indents are not quite solid enough. The sensor is too sensitive, so that when I pick the mouse up to reposition it the screen pointer moves more than my old Logitech mouse so I have to pick it up higher before putting it back down. Worse, the sensor seems to be slightly misaligned compared to other Logitech mouses I've owned, so that it wants to move at a slight angle when I move it straight up. Again, I've had several other Logitech mouses and never had a problem. I purchased two of these MK270 units and the problems are the same on both. Lastly, the two that I received did NOT come with the unifying receiver. I've decided not to send both back because of this (although I AM sending one back because the keyboard itself was defective). Because I like the keyboard so much, I'm going to keep it and use it alongside an old Logitech mouse and deal with two dongles.
this is an excellent buy for notebook users who have to work long ...
August 8, 2017
Reliable and well shaped. Would have graded it higher, but the keys are somewhat stiff with too high a travel--typing is work, compared to the Microsoft keyboard, for example. But the price is right, and having the separate input devices increased the useability of my notebook over a full workday enormously from an ergonomic viewpoint, especially in tandem with a standing desk. If you can live with the harder keys. this is an excellent buy for notebook users who have to work long hours, and a much cheaper alternative to a separate monitor--just elevate the computer to ideal eye height, and leave the keyboard and mouse on the desk.
Excellent keyboard; terrible mouse.
July 28, 2017
While the combined keyboard and mouse offered here at Amazon is a great deal (especially when I picked it up as a part of a PrimeDay Special), the keyboard itself is excellent while the mouse is a disappointment. The keyboard has a large, spacious layout with slightly textured keys. I absolutely love it. The feedback is perfect too. While I don't use the additional "shortcut" buttons on the very top of the keyboard, the on/off switch above the number pad is convenient and saves battery life. Other keyboards I've used in the past included a switch on the bottom, if at all.Again, the mouse is a disappointment however. It is both too small and ergonomically awkward to use for my slightly large, male hands. Scrolling with the center wheel stutters up and down documents and pages when browsing online instead of the smooth, natural scrolling of my former mouse. In all, it works to point-and-click around a screen but is more annoying than its worth. If your hands are tiny, this may work for you. Otherwise, purchase the keyboard separately and look elsewhere for a mouse.
Received non-Unifying version; interference(?) issues made it unusable
April 15, 2017
I was satisfied with the build quality of both pieces of this set (as expected given experience using Logitech products over the years); I received the non-Unifying-receiver version and experienced what seemed to be interference (I work in an office with numerous wireless devices operating on various frequencies). Could potentially also have been a power issue as it sometimes seemed one or both units would power down or enter a sleep mode; fresh batteries did not change this nor could I discover any setting that would affect it. I reluctantly returned this. I suspect the Unifying version would work for me as I subsequently began using a Logitech mouse with Unifying receiver and have experienced no issues.
mouse great, keyboard great when it works, irritating when it doesn't
August 25, 2016
I really wanted to like this, but I frequently have the same problems some others have reported with this keyboard. It really lags sometimes. In other words, I type in a few characters (doesn't matter which application, same behavior in Word, Firefox, Notepad, etc) and then wait several seconds for the letters to show up on the screen. The mouse works great, even when the keyboard isn't doing so well. The fact that the mouse keeps working while the keyboard lags, combined with the observation that the keyboard sometimes gets a lot better after I turn it off/on, leads me to believe that this is most likely not a wireless conflict with my 2.4 Ghz wireless USB interface. I think it's just a problem keyboard.Update: I used a USB extension to put the USB connector closer to the keyboard and have had no problems since. Updating to 3 stars.
Great keyboard, mouse failed at 8 months
January 25, 2015
I love this mouse and keyboard combo. The keys are soft-touch and low-profile, so my wrists don't hurt after hours of use. My only complaint is that sometimes the mouse's scroll-wheel just.. doesn't work. It rolls, but the computer doesn't think it's doing anything. This has happened while browsing the web, in Office applications, and most notably in video games. Sometimes it starts working again on its own, and sometimes I have to restart the software or reboot the computer. Very intermittent but weird. I've never had this issue with Logitech wireless mice, so not sure if mine is just a dud. I still love this combo though, the issue isn't serious enough to warrant a return.Update at 8 months: The mouse's scroll-wheel continued to randomly stop working, and then the mouse started failing entirely. I replaced the batteries so that's not the issue.. it just stopped working. Turning it off and on again fixed the issue a couple of times, but now it doesn't work at all. I have another logitech wireless mouse (stand alone) that has been working for far longer, so I don't know if this is just an issue with the combo mouse or if I just got a dud.

No VESA Holes Ugh.
May 10, 2017
Was really disappointed that this monitor didn't have VESA holes. While the description did say VESA mount sold separately, I didn't realize that it didn't have any VESA holes to attach the mount to. So I bought this monitor and a VESA mount only to realize that I needed a special VESA adapter for this monitor to mount it to a VESA Compatible mount ( The VESA Adapter is ugly). For those only interested in the monitor, the screen itself is great and I don't have any problems with it and would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. I would recommend a bigger monitor for those that can get one, but for the size and price of this monitor it is really good. Home owners should find this monitor great. Business users, I would recommend buying one with VESA holes so you have the option of mounting it properly.
The Low End
April 18, 2017
These monitors are pretty low quality (washed out blacks and blown out whites), so there's really no way to recover the color saturation quality due to how cheapy they are.Tasks this monitor is good for:Browsing the webTasks this monitor is not good for:Watching moviesGraphic designWeb developmentAnything that requires color accuracyI looked for help online that would tell me how to correct the color, but I couldn't find anything. If you're just wanting a monitor for the sake of having a monitor, this definitely works. However, if you do any sort of design, development, graphic design or any other task that needs color quality, I wouldn't recommend this monitor.I gave it 2 stars, because I don't think this monitor is meant to be great, but it's definitely priced out of its category. I'd recommend a $99.00 price tag for a monitor like this.
Got the job done for a few months.
May 30, 2016
Viewing angles are terrible, and color reproduction is mediocre at best. I wanted to love this monitor, but I've just had to sell it to upgrade to the HP Pavilion 25xw, and couldn't be happier with the decision. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on something better. If you don't know about IPS (like I didn't), do yourself a favor and read about it BEFORE assuming you're getting an awesome deal. You'll be disappointed if you try to look at this monitor at any angle other than a dead-on shot (or close to it).
Uneven brightness & contrast from top to bottom
May 15, 2016
Uneven brightness & contrast from top to bottom. Got it today and tinkered with adjustments, I'm very familiar with monitors and I have an Acer I like, but THIS one's going back on day 1. The top third of the monitor is great. It has the right amount of contrast and rich colors. The middle is a little flat and the bottom third of the monitor is unacceptably flat and "blown out" bright. This has nothing to do with viewing angle or monitor adjustments. This monitor is simply uneven in brightness and contrast from top to bottom.
There are better options for just a bit more
March 4, 2016
Bought the 21.5-inch model (G226HQL) to add a display to my early 2008 iMac. Works with the mini-DVI to DVI adapter. Unfortunately, the backlight bleed is just terrible. Viewing angle is such that if you aren't perfectly in the sweet spot, blacks will quickly turn to gray. It's so bad I'm wondering if this is a defective monitor.Either way, it is being returned in favor of Acer's H226HQL. What a difference. Nice, inky blacks and crystal clear text. Viewing angle is fantastic. In fact, it is a significant improvement over the iMac's screen (which has aged well). If you can spare a bit extra, I very much recommend getting the H226HQL over the G226HQL. The only potential drawback is the H226HQL has a glossy screen. I'm used to it (iMac is the same), but for those operating in bright spaces and viewing dark material, consider something else (though not the H226HQL...it's bad).
Looks good only at certain angles. And that's annoying.
January 19, 2016
The polarization on the screen is just terrible. I always have to sit at a specific angle in order to see true colors - but also with that in mind, because it's a large screen, some areas will be true-colored, and the other side will still look polarized. This is an awful detriment to someone either working with design (like myself), or even as simple as wanting to sit back and watch a movie (I sit in one position, it's fine.. turn to my other side, the coloring is absolutely off). Also, I know the description said it had no HDMI ports, so I went into it fully aware - but the input options are still very lacking. Everyone else is commenting on the tilt, and I have to say- it is a problem for me as well. Even though it is doable, it isn't convenient, and having to constantly adjust because of the polarization makes this monitor too much work for its worth. Two stars because of the price, and because it actually works. But I'm probably going to sell this soon.

Great display, poor quality everything else.
July 11, 2017
I purchased a pair of these monitors as a cheaper alternative to the Dell 25" monitors I have at work. As far as I can tell these use the same panel as the Dell 25" 2560x1440p Ultrasharps and they were around $80-$100 cheaper. The display and color reproduction is AMAZING. I do a ton of development and moving from a TN panel to an IPS panel made a world of difference and the higher resolution means more code on screen. The display also had NO stuck pixels at all.So why does it get 2 stars? Well, the devil is in the details. Whoever made the panel (I didn't look it up, is it samsung? Someone else?) gets 5 stars, but Acer's implementation of it gets 1 star. The bezels are popping off the sides, causing light to bleed through outside the panel (I noticed this after the return period, otherwise I would have returned them...also the issue is NOT caused by the VESA adapters/mount that I mention below, it happened ). I dare not attempt to RMA these monitors. Back when I first purchased them I couldn't even find a page for this model on Acer's site. I've also heard horror stories (after purchasing, of course) of users receiving DOA units as replacements from Acer when RMAing various products. Also, the monitors are not VESA compatible. Recently I found out how important this is when I decided I wanted a monitor mount in order to make more room on my desk. The only way I could find to make these things work with the mount was to buy a 3rd party adapter (which has it's own flaws) for each of the monitors...2 of these totaled $83 which put the price quite a bit closer to the dell monitors I mentioned earlier.I'm still begrudgingly using these monitors, but I do not recommend them and I've decided, after 2 generations of monitors, I will never buy anything ACER branded again.
Shady Practices on Repair Policies
March 30, 2017
Honestly would never buy Acer again. Very shady business practices.I had this monitor for 32 days before it decided to not turn on at all. The AC unit worked fine, all outlets worked fine. I called Acer for support, and it was determined that it had to be sent in for repairs. This wouldn't be the worst thing except for the fact that shipping to Acer is not covered under warranty. So what did this mean? I had to pay an $84 shipping charge for my 32 day old, $180 product because it was faulty. The ONLY reason I am going to give this one star is because the product itself was nice for the 30 days of actual use. Otherwise, buy another brand.UPDATE: After nearly 2 weeks from shipping to return, I finally got my monitor back. It was deemed that the monitor was fully functional after testing for 24 hours and they were unable to replicate the issue. I plugged it back in and same issue, it would not turn on. This leads me to believe that it is the A/C Power Adapter included with the monitor that is the issue. Upon further investigation into reviews from Newegg and other sites, Acer is widely known to not QC their included parts correctly, and this is a fairly common issue for the AC adapter to cease working after a short amount of time (typically 1 month). For those also having this issue, the adapter appears to be working still as the light is on, but it may be some connection passed the middle point. In conclusion, I basically just spent $84 on a $200 monitor for repairs that weren't needed and now end up having to spend an additional $15 out of pocket to get a new power adapter because Acer makes shoddy accessory pieces. I will never buy a thing from this company again.
Dead in 1+ year.
December 15, 2016
Died in just over 1 year. Further, I had problems with stability and being able to work over a remote login from the beginning. The screen would flicker, and it seemed that the computer nor the monitor could sync up. Working on it just to read emails probably not worth the price, nor do you get much benefit form the high resolution (my computer could handle the resolution, but my eyes could not tell the difference).
Not recommended for graphics/video editing...not best quality
August 13, 2016
Bought this monitor on Amazon the end of May, so I have had this monitor a bit over two months. Colors are fair, and the controls are somewhat easy to work with but are hidden underneath right area. I do not recommend this monitor if you are using it for graphics (PSD, Illustrator, etc.), video editing, etc. I have already developed a cluster of dead pixels in the top right area of the monitor, which makes using Photoshop frustrating because of the black dots (dead pixels) showing up on photos.Construction of this monitor is mediocre, too. Save your money towards a better, higher-quality monitor.
Washed Out Colors? Black Colors Look Grey?
April 6, 2016
I ordered this monitor because I bought a monitor from Acer before and was very pleased with it. It was part of their H6 series. So naturally I thought Acer wouldn't let me down with this monitor. That was a big mistake.I received the monitor, set it up, plugged it in, and turned it on. I was immediately met with disappointment. The colors looked washed out! The blacks looked grey! The resolution did look fine though. That is the only reason it gets 2 stars.I was confussed. When I plugged in my previous monitor that I purchased from them it was perfect and needed no adjustments to look good. I second guessed myself. I thought, "Ok well sure when I adjust the settings it will look fine." I adjusted the contrast and brightness and literally noticed barely any difference between 0 and 100.There is really nothing else to say. I am not going to pay this much for a monitor that promises quality that I didn't receive. Needless to say, I sent it back for a refund.

MK 270 -- not unifying receiver
August 22, 2017
As a previous reviewer noted, there are two versions of the mk 270. This was listed as being a unifying receiever model, but I received a nano receiver that is not a unifying receiver. Since I don't have other logitech products I'm trying to sync, I don't care too much, but this is not how the listing advertising this product. That being said, the product seems to work pretty well -- the keyboard is decent for a $20 keyboard, the mouse is a little small but works, set up was painless, etc. Worked well with my cranky old desktop upgraded to W10 last year.
Bah, humbug.
August 22, 2017
The mouse works fine, the keyboard is iffy. Some keys seem to work all the time, others are pretty spotty, and the direction arrow keys simply quit for no apparent reason whatsoever. Until they come back on for no apparent reason whatsoever. I've used Logitech for ...it seems like decades... and have never had a problem until now. (So of course I threw away the box... because I'm a dork.) So ... it's mine now until I buy another... soon...and then it's off to my growing pile of electronic recycling. Bah, humbug.
I will say that the mouse and keyboard work well and feel sturdy enough, especially for the price
April 25, 2017
It was hard to finalize a rating for this product for a number of reasons, because for some people it might be worth 5 stars, but I'll briefly explain why it's only worth 2 to me.First, I will say that the mouse and keyboard work well and feel sturdy enough, especially for the price. My main two issues though can be summed up by the fact that the product listing is misleading and in fact incorrect.Issue 1 - The mouse is better suited for travel and is definitely not full size. This was never mentioned in the listing and might steer people elsewhere for this type of purchase, especially when buyers are specifically looking for full sized 9 key keyboards as a pairing.Issue 2 - The main reason I settled on this combo unit is because it was represented as containing a Logitech Unifying Receiver, which it clearly does not. This is a deal breaker for me and will cause me to return this product.
Poor connection, keyboard freezes and keys stop working.
February 3, 2015
My wife purchased the Logitech Wireless Combo Mk520 With Keyboard and Mouse for her home office, and loves it. I needed a keyboard/mouse combo for work, so I purchased the MK270, a cheaper version. Well, it is definitely cheap. The keyboard has frozen mid-typing, the backspace, delete, and arrow keys have a tendency to stop working as well. I changed the batteries and even relocated the PC tower so that the USB transmitter is in line-of-sight with the keyboard - still having issues. It's cheap, only $20, but I am considering returning it.
Keyboard to Computer Delay
August 4, 2014
Updated Review (8/18/2014) - I cannot stand the delay from the keyboard to computer. I have officially snapped and will not be using or recommending this product due to the delay. I keep my keyboard off when I'm not using it (when the computer is off and I'm not at my desk) but when I don't type on it for a minute and go to type, I expect it to type, not delay 20 seconds and still not use all the letters I typed in. It might start working after 45 seconds of frustration and wearing patience.Original Post (8/4/2014) - 3 Stars: I absolutely hate the delay from the keyboard to the computer. Sometimes it's sporadic but can take up to 20 seconds before it catches up. I am considering going to a wired keyboard or trying a different one because of how frustrating this is. I've only been using the keyboard for about a week and a half.
Be aware - two different versions out there
March 28, 2014
I ordered it on 3/23 from Amazon and received a couple of days later. To my surprise, the box doesn't say "unifying receiver". Took the keyboard/mouse out - yes indeed the receiver only says "Nano Receiver", and it doesn't have the orange star unifying logo. I also installed Logitech Unifying software but this receiver is not recognized.UPC/Product ID all match. Appears Logitech changed the product. Amazon needs to change the product description. If you are looking for a unifying receiver to work with other logitech products, don't buy this.Update - Amazon sent me a replacement, and this time it comes with Unifying receiver. UPC and product ID printed on the boxes are identical, packagings are slightly different. One has "Unifying receiver" clearly printed on the box and feature list and the other one doesn't.http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B00BP5KOPA/ref=cm_cr_dp_cust_img_see_all_img0Keyboards and mice are also different. One set both have orange star unifying on the label and the other set don't. Product IDs are different too.

Crap computer never has worked right
February 15, 2017
The cd/dvd door fell off in unpacking should have sent back then but decided not to sweat the small stuff. Crap computer never has worked right. had to pull out the one Gateway it replaced and it's still working. Won't ever buy refurbished again and won't ever by Dell anything either. Waste of money and stole a lot of my time.
meh. Garbage.
June 3, 2016
This is older lap top arcitecture in a small footprint desktop case. The only expandability is to double the 4GB memory to 8GB (which I did) and it's still a pile of slowly decaying garbage. It is slow during regular use and if you have more than one window open, you will be reminded of the old x86 days when you could actually crash a system by trying to do two or three things at the same time. I hate it and am hoping to dump it off on some other uninformed fool. Replaced with an actual desktop computer within one year.1 star as a computer5 stars as a reminder of the bad old days.Meh.

November 12, 2015
I thought that this computer would be faster for everyday use. It drags and I've turned off everything that I can think of to improve its speed. It takes to long uploading in the morning when its first turned on. I had an old Vista system that was faster.
Waste of Money
October 31, 2015
Don't buy this computer. I feel like I am back in 1999. It is painfully slow. I even upgraded it to 8GB of RAM and I can hardly tell the difference. Uggghh can't even return it. No clue how this thing gets high ratings on Amazon. Save your money and spend $100 more for something better.
No Stars, really.
October 29, 2015
This computer didn't work right from the start. Start menu wouldn't load (critical error message several times), which meant accessing any programs was impossible until I created shortcuts on the desktop in desperation. Consistently froze on Restart. Contacted Dell support several times but they could not fix. Finally decided to return.

Severe Brightness/Gamma Problems
June 16, 2016
I'm not a content creator, photo/video editor, or other enthusiast. With that in mind, this monitor is totally unacceptable to me. It has so many good reviews that I though it was a slam dunk. After playing with color calibration for the last couple hours, however, I have decided to return it. There is no possible way to calibrate or adjust this monitor to make up for the fact that the Gamma is horribly horribly out of whack.I searched the reviews for this monitor and, lo and behold, I am not the first person to notice this problem. If you use the Windows color calibration utility, turning the Gamma slider completely down is NOT enough. Did a bit of digging and found a response on here from Acer, stating that the Gamma can only be adjusted on the monitor itself it is plugged in via VGA... Seriously? The picture is ludicrously bright and washed out. I'm not sure how advanced a user you need to be for this to drive you crazy, obviously many people have no problem with the blinding default brightness. In my estimation, if you've ever run the windows color calibration program, you are too advanced a user for this monitor and you WILL notice.Wish I would've read a critical review before I wasted my time, but I probably wouldn't have taken it seriously in the face of all the 5 star reviews. Well, add my voice to those who are severely disappointed.
DOA, Very Poorly Designed
February 10, 2016
Arrived only partially functional. It would show the "Energy Star" logo when powered on, and then nothing. No display, nothing when you hit the function buttons on the bottom, nothing when you input a signal from a monitor to the DVI port. What really convinced me that this is a poorly made the monitor is that the function buttons are located on the bottom and are not labelled at all. They are just little black buttons with nothing on them. They are not described in the manual. Don't even know which button worked for what, and they did nothing when I pushed on them.Acer - why would you add a bunch of unlabelled black function buttons that aren't even described in the manuals? Why would you even ship a product that shows a complete lack of engineering oversight?
Inconsistent color top to bottom, lack of color consistency, and washed out colors.
December 20, 2015
Viewing angle and where eyes are relative to the monitor makes a big difference with contrast. The lower you view the monitor (straight on view, so raise or lower your chair/monitor) the more clarity and contrast. Normal view angle like my other Dell monitor is set up (center of monitor) results in almost washed out colors with the Acer monitor (black is more grayish). If straight on view puts your eyes in the bottom 1/3 of the Acer screen, it seems to be OK. Mine is currently on top of a 1-inch block to get the optimal viewing angle, and it is almost acceptable. Does not compare with higher end/more expensive makers and/or models, but I guess you get what you pay for. Not sure if I'll be returning or not yet.Update: In the end, could not handle the inconsistency from top to bottom, lack of crispness, and washed out colors. My eyes actually hurt after trying to use last night. Returned unit today (UPS just picked up).
Cheap... In a very bad way.
November 21, 2015
This is an extremely cheap monitor, and you get what you pay for. The screen colors are very washed out, but most disturbing is the periodic flickering that the screen does every few minutes. This monitor was definitely not made to last, and I would never recommend buying this. Amazon should pay me for the inconvenience of having to return this piece of garbage.
Bad Viewing Angle
May 12, 2015
A bad viewing angle combined with a short stand makes it not possible to get the full benefit of a color display. Everything looks faded. Compared to the display of my laptop with a screen half the size there is really little benefit to the larger screen since the resolution is the same. It just looks faded on the Acer display. The good features is lightweight and slim, which is nice since I travel with it. But, with the poor viewing angle it is not use-able. Improve the viewing angle!!! The stand is short and it does not tilt sufficiently so that you can see the display straight-on so it looks faded. So, in brief, it is not possible to get the full rich color that the display has to offer.
Buyer Beware: Viewing Angles
March 17, 2015
I had ordered the Acer G226HQL Bbd 21.5" model. Something you should be aware of, which isn't mentioned in the description, are the horrible viewing angles. I don't know if it's different for the other sized models (and unfortunately Amazon lumps all the reviews together), but the viewing angles for this model are a pitiful and substandard 90° H x 50° V. I've never seen viewing angles that low. The bottom half of the screen was completely washed out. The only way to possibly make it usable would be to place it on top of a shoebox to make it eye level since it sits so low (there's no height adjustment) and you can't mount it (no VESA mounts).Save your money and find a different monitor with better viewing angles. There are better options out there for the same price that will have a more common 170/160 viewing angle. For $20 more than what is currently being charged for it (glad I didn't pay that much), I instead opted for the IPS panel Dell P2014H that has far more features (height adjust, rotation, VESA mounts, USB ports). You get what you pay for. Sorry Acer.

I hate this monitor
March 16, 2017
I hate this monitor, honestly inaccurate colors, and a pain in the ass, I had to replace the power cord to a stronger one, because of power draw flickering problems. Will never buy an acer again. I have had a huge range of problems
Don't buy... Poor reliability, customer service.
October 29, 2016
Poor quality... I have had issues with Acer products in the past. While Acer offers to take care of the product service, they expect you to pay the return shipping which on a 24-inch monitor is around $30. When a new monitor only costs $100 it is more worth my time to just spend the money for a reliable brand. This monitor fails to turn on after 1 year of light use. I will never buy another Acer branded product again and encourage anyone to take their business elsewhere.
The worst back-light bleeding I have ever seen on a monitor, the same goes for the replacement.
March 1, 2016
Update 3/5/2016: I returned both Acers and instead purcahsed the ASUS VS239H-P 23" Full HD 1920x1080 IPS HDMI DVI-D VGA Back-lit LED Monitor instead, best purchasing decision I have ever made.Original Post: I purchased this monitor as a replacement for my old Acer G235H due to a small line of dead pixels appearing after happily using the monitor for 6 years. That model was no longer available but the G236HL came up as a successor in my search. I decided to purchase this monitor due to the high ratings, many from PC gamers as well. When I received my first unit I was sad to see the enormous amount of back light bleeding, everything was washed out, not just the edges but the 100% of the screen. The pics attached show the new unit on the right and my old unit on the left. I tried everything from adjusting the brightness, contrast and applying every auto setting by Acer, nothing fixed it. I figured this is a single incident as it is not unusual for LCD monitors to have some back-light bleeding. I requested a replacement and just opened the 2nd unit...SAME ISSUE! Returning both and looking for a monitor that offers true, or close to true, blacks.

Don't buy this without trying it out in a store first, after which you won't buy it, anyway.
October 16, 2015
I had had good experiences with Acer products before this. In fact, this monitor was bought to replace another Acer monitor that worked very well and lasted for over 12 years. Not the case here. Before buying this monitor, LISTEN TO THE OTHER 1-STAR REVIEWS! The viewing angles on this monitor are TERRIBLE. You have to hold your head in one position without moving it either two inches up or down to make the screen look normal. Otherwise, half of the screen is darker than the other half of the screen and text and colors are washed out. Changing settings or trying to download drivers and nonexistent "ICC Profiles" from the Acer website does not help. No matter how I tweaked it, text and graphics did not look natural or good. As soon as I could, I returned it for a refund to Amazon (thank you, Amazon), but with shipping I lost around $30 on the purchase. I will probably buy Acer products again but never without a chance to personally try them out first.
Not Worth It
July 24, 2015
I normally try to stay positive when it comes to reviewing but after purchasing this monitor I felt the need to write a somewhat harsh review describing how much I dislike it, and the issues I had with it. When I got this monitor I was very excited to replace my aging Dell 2007wfp that was almost 10 years old, however from the moment I turned on my Acer G236HL, my opinion of it never wavered from one of disappointment. The monitor was incredibly bright and the colors were very washed out. In my attempt to reduce the brightness and adjust the saturation in order to reduce the washed out colors I learned 3 very important things: First, was that even at 0 brightness this monitor feels way too bright, I thought it was a joke at first but even at 0 its just too bright for me; Second, that the OSD (on screen display) for changing color settings is horrible and confusing to navigate; And Third, that there is no adjustment for saturation or really many manual adjustments at all, there are a few presets to choose from that make the picture a slightly different shade of washed out, and that's about it. I made a really concerted effort to try and fix this monitor and make it look good, i looked up ICC profiles (virtually nonexistent for this monitor which i think would be a huge negative point for those who need color accuracy) I checked the included install disk for any drivers and discovered that the disk is just a digital copy of the manuals that already come with the monitor. I looked up other peoples settings, calibrated my display in windows several times, and while all these things slightly improved the picture the colors still were still significantly worse than my old Dell monitor. In the end I discovered that the main issue is that the viewing angles are so bad on this monitor that viewing it from even a slightly unsatisfactory angle in anything less than perfect lighting would make it look this way. I tried stacking the monitor on top of some books which actually improved the situation but did not fix it, and even when I was able to look at the monitor from the very narrow optimum viewing angle I don't think this panel is even capable of rendering anything that could be described as black, black just becomes gray with this monitor. All of this was made moot however because anytime I shifted in my desk chair, I was no longer within the acceptable viewing range of this screen and thus was back to square one.In the end, I could not live with this and returned this monitor. I felt like a failure, I take great pride in fixing my problems and felt as though it was my fault that I simply was not technical enough to remedy the issues I had with this monitor which had excellent reviews on Amazon. However should you shop around a bit you will find that this panel has much lower review scores on other sites such as Newegg, many of them describing problems that mirror my own. Therefore with this information and experience in hand I must come conclude that this is simply an unsatisfactory product. Before I purchased this monitor I was of the opinion that a computer monitor was a computer monitor, and that if it was the resolution I wanted and had good reviews then there were simply no other factors to worry about. This of course is simply not true, and If you are still considering purchasing this monitor after reading my review then I would simply ask that you make an informed decision and do some homework on different styles of LCD monitors; namely TN (twisted nematic which is the technology this Acer monitor uses) and IPS (interplane-switching) as well as things such as color accuracy, contrast ratios, and black levels. there are several websites you can use to help you make these informed decisions prad.de, digitaltrends, and TFT Central. These are just a few sites that do exhaustive testing of many different monitors and often provide optimal settings as well as test the truthfulness of the manufacturers claims. The Epilogue to my story is that I ended up purchasing an Asus VS239H-P to replace this one. While the Asus is about 25$ more than this Acer model, the value of the features and quality you get with the Asus model far outweigh the cost disparity.

Cheap piece of junk, mouse didn't work at setup, right-click doesn't work to copy and paste
June 12, 2017
This is a cheap piece of junk. The keyboard feels cheap, but that was not the issue. At installation, the mouse didn't work. After installing new batteries and other troubleshooting, I tried a different USB port and it finally connected. Should have worked in any of the ports. Biggest issue for me is the right click to copy and paste doesn't work MOST of the time - very frustrating. Mouse feels cheap too. Logged in to Amazon to return and see that I missed the return window by a few days. After reading reviews today, I see that there a lot of complaints that are very recent, like mine. Makes me think we all got counterfeit products. Irritated that I cannot return and get my money back.
11 months and 18 days of use and it stopped working
June 2, 2017
Simply disappointing: 11 months and 18 days of use and it simply stopped working. From good to dead and no; it is not the batteries.
Only worked for a few months
April 30, 2017
Oh the irony... here I am, trying to write this review of this product, while using this product and the keyboard stalls (as usual) and my words come out as a jumbled mess. I really wanted to like this keyboard/mouse combo, given the glowing reviews left by other customers. I bought it and it worked well for about three months, and then totally stopped working. OK, so maybe I got a lemon. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one, no problem. Well, it's been one month and the new one is only working intermittently. Bummer. The words I type in don't appear for 10 seconds sometimes. When I move the mouse, it jumps and jerks around the screen, and it's hard to select what I want to click on. So while the keyboard and mouse both look and feel nice, they really don't work very well. You know what they say -- you get what you pay for! Wish I had spent my money on something more reliable/higher quality.
Keyboard cuts out- Poor Quality
April 11, 2017
Terrible. The mouse works fine, but the keyboard cuts out often. I'll be typing and suddenly, nothing's happening. Its not the computer as the mouse and applications continue to work. I use it daily and without fail, it stops working multiple times each day, sometimes for a few minutes at a time. It is incredibly frustrating, so much so that I dug my old wired keyboard out of the donate pile and am using that instead. Does not work consistently.
Don't buy.
March 15, 2017
The mouse has NEVER worked. I have contacted them numerous times, they give pages of instructions as if I have not already unplug, tried in new USBs, changed to new batteries, worked a couple days to get the keyboard before getting it to work. Weeks later and they still won't ship me a new one. I've worked with computer since 1976 probably longer than they have been alive. SAVE YOUR MONEY!, DON'T BUY
Mouse turns off at random
November 8, 2016
I am extremely disappointed. This is the first Logitech product I've used that I have not been satisfied with. I own a Logitech webcam, wireless keyboard/trackpad, speakers, and prior to purchasing this set, I had a wired Logitech keyboard and another wireless Logitech mouse. I purchased this set as a Gold Box deal to replace those (the tabs on the wired keyboard had broken off over the years, and the wireless mouse's dongle no longer worked).Initially, this set worked great. However, about a month ago, the following occurred:The mouse, even with a brand new Duracell Quantum battery in it (chosen as the Sweethome's #1 disposable battery) will occasionally turn off. The only way to make it function again is either A. take the battery out of of, put it back in; B. turn the mouse off and on again; or C, unplug the dongle and plug it back it. This is very frustrating, as this can happen several times across the span of a few minutes. It is too late to try to return this product, but I'm going to look into a refund and purchase a different Logitech keyboard/mouse combo. To reiterate, Logitech makes wonderful, high quality products. I believe I either got a defect, or this product altogether is not up to par.
