I don't like crystalized manuka
January 11, 2017
I don't know about it's healing properties ,but this taste so yummy I have a hard time not slathering everything with it. Silky smooth spread .I don't like crystalized manuka ,or honey for that matter this one doesn't have the UMF ,not really quite sure what the studies are with that ,on the safe side I did purchase another with the UMF ,but this one is so yummy I have to keep it .

I used a high powered lotion for a skin infection; no luck. Manuka honey has almost entirely cleared it up. It works!

A Natural Health Boost
February 25, 2016
Great product for anyone seeking a natural boost to their health care regimen. It's thicker than traditional honey but that's due to the pollen content. It tastes great and personally, I like it much better than traditional honey. Traditional honey leaves a sugary residue on my teeth. This item doesn't do that.
WOW!
August 6, 2013
My husband was recently diagnosed with MRSA, which appeared as a blister/boil on his forearm. Doctors lanced it, drained it, and put him on the proper antibiotic, but it left a deep, open wound on his arm. I mean deep, like it seemed large enough to stick your thumb in! I didn't really know much about MRSA before all this, but I've read everything I could since then. I kept seeing Manuka honey praised for it's healing properties, as well as the fact that it seemed to kill MRSA. Those that had used it, swore by it. Well, now I do too!!! We started applying the honey in my husbands wound on a Friday afternoon. I did this in addition to using Hibiclens. I gloved, cleaned the wound, re-applied the honey, changed the bandages each day. By Monday (3 DAYS!), the wound was almost closed - no kidding! I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. This is one product that I will keep on hand from now on! As an aside - The sad part for me is that the doctors didn't seem overly concerned - kept telling us "MRSA is everywhere now, you can catch it anywhere" .When we would ask about chance of recurrence, or spreading it it others in our household, they basically said, yes, it might happen, might not. They were not being aggressive enough in my opinion in helping us prevent this. No one ever told us about de-colonizing ourselves. In my reading, I saw that the people with the most success in beating this back for good used a combination of Hibiclens wash to shower in for 10 days, disinfecting all towels, bedding, surfaces in home, and of course, the Manuka honey for wound treatment. There is also research that shows the MRSA like to colonize in the nose, so during this same time, you should also apply Bactroban in the nasal cavities each day for up to a month. This is also something that the doctors didn't tell us, or offer. When I asked about getting a prescription, he actually said, "Yes, we could do that to de-colonize the nases"! I mean, if they KNOW this will help prevent the spread and possible re-occurrence, why should I have had to ask about it at all? I swear, I am not a "conspiracy" type person, but it almost made me wonder if they are not all being so lax about this epidemic because of the incomes generated? I am sure, once all is said and done, my husband's insurance will have paid about $3000 for his treatment and follow up visits, as well as the $90 in co-pays we have paid already. What's their motive for trying to prevent this from happening again or from giving it to someone else? Take control of your own treatment plans, be aggressive in treating, and learn all you can about what you're facing. You are your family's best advocate. Good luck!

If you want to treat acne and want clear skin try this stuff out.
December 15, 2016
I use this honey to heal blemishes on my face rather than consuming it, however it does taste very good. After using over the counter creams, gels and pastes to clear my skin I didn't have any luck. I then did some research and found that raw organic honey was excellent to treat acne, blemishes, acne scars, etc. My skin has never been horrible but I just couldn't go more than two days without either breaking out, or having a few pimples form. I first stopped applying the harmful chemicals on my face which helped the over drying and consecutive breakouts. Then I started using the honey as a facial scrub in the shower, and spot applied it before bed. I couldn't believe how much better my skin looked after only a couple weeks of this process. After doing this for 2 months, my skin healed completely and now I only get a pimple every now and again. I highly recommend giving this product a try if you want some damn good honey or are like me and want to treat the problem so many other people face.
Healthy for the body, moisturizing for the skin, and rich in flavor
September 20, 2016
I personally use manuka honey for DIY face masks, but I also love to put it in my tea and smoothies to intensify the flavor. The consistency of this honey is thick and luxurious, and it moisturizes and calms down my irritated skin. Because the consistency is so thick, it is ideal for using as a face mask because it does not drip all over (although it tastes great if you lick it from your chin, haha). I usually mix it with matcha green tea powder or jasmine green tea to give the face mask an extra antioxidant boost. I am happy that the honey is stored in a dark container in order to preserve it and keep it from the sun; although I would prefer it to be in a dark glass jar instead of a dark plastic jar. Despite that, manuka honey is definitely worth the extra money for its wonderful body and skin benefits.
Good for Skin cleansing
September 19, 2016
Read on a website after following up on a You Tube Video, that you can use Honey to cleanse your face. After reading several articles, I found out that this brand was the best. So far so good. No complaints. You only need little bit as it is very thick. This container should last me 2 months.I cleanse morning and night. My face seems clearer and smoother. Never dry or dull. My skin was in good condition anyway, but I can see that my face looks refreshed. When I wear makeup, I cleanse with my other cleanser, to remove everything. As, the honey isn't good for removing make up. It also seems to help with the dark circles that are under my eyes. I don't look as tired. The results will be different for everyone. I also use it as a mask, once a week. I leave it on for about 10 minutes. I've only had it for about 2 weeks. I was on vacation for 8 days in the Pacific Northwest and it worked fine. I follow up with SPF moisturize, if I'm going to be out in the sun. Otherwise, I use Aragon oil as a moisturize or I use a small amount of olive oil and coconut oil to moisturize my face.I would purchase it again.
It worked great!

After spine surgery, I had a wound that was not healing. I was put on several antibiotics to no avail. My surgeon told me that if there was no appreciable healing by my next visit, they would have to remove all the hardware, use IV antibiotics, etc. I came home and did an internet search for anything that would help heal my wound. I came across this honey, and it is remarkable. When I went back in five days later, my wound had decreased from about the width of a quarter and around 3/8 inch deep to about the size of a dime, and just past skin deep. My surgeon was very impressed, and asked me what I had done. I wish I had a picture of his face when I told him about Manuka honey! I now keep two jars at all times - One for using in cooking, and the other instead of antibiotic ointment. My son wrecked his motorcycle and had a pretty bad road burn. After about a week it was looking pretty bad, so I finally convinced him to try it - He came over the next day and said he hated to tell me I was right, but the honey had already made a big difference in his leg. It also comes in small individual-size packets, which I take with me now whenever I travel.
Many benefits to Manuka Honey!
October 6, 2015
I want to tell every one about this honey, my friend is a R.N. and she is up on the latest findings. We were talking about a child that has eczema with MRSA and she said there is only one thing to do for that and it is rubbing Manuka Honey on that eczema. Now I am not involved in anything medical so I cannot say anymore but I know regular honey kills bacteria and can be used internally and externally for many conditions because I use it. If this info can help even one person then it was worth sharing.
Using it for Anti-aging Skincare Routine
February 1, 2015
I am a big fan of Manuka Honey for my anti-aging skincare routine. Though I've heard about its benefits for almost a decade, I finally purchased it for the first time after reading the Primal Skincare Guide by Liz Wolfe. She convinced me that I should just shell out the cash and get some.Pros: I've used it to treat blemishes (white heads) and as a twice weekly face mask. My skin feels more vibrant and glow-y after using it.Cons: I wouldn't eat it if you're using it for skincare, unless you separate it into two bottles. It doesn't taste very good. It's honey--so be careful to use a headband to keep your hair from getting stuck in it when doing a facial. If you have the money to splurge on yourself, get some Manuka Honey to replace your designer brand facials. You'll do your body a lot more good with this stuff!

Will Continue Buying
January 23, 2015
It tastes a bit different from the non Manuka honey I have tried before, it has a bitter after taste, but I am not sure if it is do to the fact that it is Manuka. This is why I give it 4 stars. I will have to try another Manuka brand to be able to compare the taste. I will continue buying Manuka honey do to its benefits but the taste is not half as good as the regular honey. I have used it internally and also have made goat milk, oats and honey facial mask using this. I loved the results. I purchased 2 and gave the other to my mom who was resently treated for H.pylori. A friend told me that after a year of antibiotic to treat his H.pylori the only thing that got rid of it was the Manuka and black seed oil. He refused the last course of antibiotic and tried this along with black seed oil. He said when he went back tested negative for H.pylori.
Use this as a nose rinse for sinus infections
December 29, 2014
I was very skeptical about using this honey, but after doing hours of research, I finally decided to purchase this.I use this honey as part of a saline nose rinse for my sinus infections. I use about 1 teaspoon honey, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 cup water. I use a nose plunger and rinse my nose one time per day for a week and it helps SOOOO much! I love that I'm not having to use antibiotics to get rid of my sinus infections anymore. It really helps. Thank you so much!

i've tried several different type of Manuka honey and this is the best so far. I cut myself on some barb wire hunting one weekend and had two identical cuts both were nasty red after the weekend so i tested one with a regular antibac bandage and a bandage with the honey. Drastically dif in just two days the honey one had no redness and the other was still pretty pink.

Great product but at this price this should be in glass. Demand it folks, or you will not get it. The price has gone way up on this too. Raw honey has a lot of the same properties, remember that. Wild honey is very good as well.

February 29, 2016
I bought to help with my acne, as I had read a lot online on how much this had helped many girls that were breaking out. Definitely if you are going to try this buy from amazon and not from whole foods as there is a really big price difference. You can definitely tell that is honey is different then regular honey. It is messy to get used to putting on your face, because it is sticky and you need to make sure you whip the lid and edges otherwise it will get gross after a few uses. I honestly did not stick to the regiment long enough to see, as I started to break out more in areas that I hadn't before, this could of been a purging stage but I wasn't patient enough. I might purchase again and just try on my areas that are scars now with a bit of lemon juice, to see if it will help the collagen and pigmentation.I would try it out if you are a acne suffer as their are many great reviews I read claiming it helped, its all trial error and patience!!
"Simply & incredibly delicious"
February 4, 2016
Best described as- "Simply & incredibly delicious".I have been taking it for 1 1/2 weeks now 2X a day. I'm not quite sure as of yet if it's helping my esophagus issues as my brother has claimed; and have read from reviewers here. If nothing else I find it to be of the tastiest and expensive honeys around. Enjoy...''
Good stuff, just not quite good enough for what I needed.
May 10, 2015
decent stuff; smells great. I just didn't get the astonishing wound-healing results that some people did. I freely admit the wound I have is bad, and so it's quite a challenge to help it heal up. I'll just keep looking though.I will keep it for smaller wounds. If I try it on one of those I'll update my review.
Love it!!!
January 3, 2014
I was a bit skeptical about this. First off, in the winter time my skin develops folliculitis from the heaters. To top it off, the folliculitis makes my acne flare. So, I bought this Manuka honey in hopes of alleviating the symptoms. It has helped tremendously. My folliculitis has dried up and is almost completely gone AND my acne has been tamed. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it does take a while for it to work. However, I'm sure my symptoms would persist for much longer if it wasn't for this honey. I'm always skeptical of using antibiotics and other harsh medicine just because my body never reacts well to them. I think buying this honey is worth the try. It's a natural and you have nothing to lose except a couple of $$.

Medicinal in Flavor
April 23, 2015
I bought this honey for the medicinal qualities. It does not taste like regular honey. In fact, I think it has a rather medicinal taste with a little sweetness added. Could just be my tastebuds, my mom liked it. I'm not sure if it is working yet, but I am feeling nauseous off and on. I hope that this is due to the killing of the bad bacteria in my intestinal track. If it works then it is worth the high price. Otherwise, too expensive to buy just for sweeting tea.

Disappointed
August 24, 2014
I tried it for health reasons and have to say that as a honey, I've never had worst tasting honey. And for health reasons, I tried it for two months and noticed no improvement in any area, if anything my allergies were somewhat worse. Possibly because I was substituting this for local raw honey comb.Seriously over priced for the non-benefit I saw, but perhaps it helps others.

January 10, 2014
I have a lot of health issues and I was hoping that adding to my extensive alternative care regimen would help support a higher quality of life. I added one spoon a day to my morning ooling tea, sometimes in the evening as well in a herbal tea until the full jar was gone with little to no noticeable results. The taste was good, I at least enjoyed it, less sweet than normal honey, switching back was slightly noticeable, but I will just stick to raw organic local honey.

Not UMF certified so who knows exactly where this honey is coming from. Either way can't claim to be Manuka Honey +16 without being verified and certified by the New Zealand board. If you are getting this for skin or medical reasons you just have to go ahead and pay the extra $15 or so to know for a fact that you are getting what you are paying for. It's still good tasting honey so I'm going to use in my smoothies instead. Hope this helps.

In a quest to find relief from cystic acne, I have left no stone unturned! Everything from sulfur to zinc, antibiotics to creams, I've used them all. Manuka honey, harvested from the hard working bees of far far away New Middle Zealearth, the magical nectar of the Manuka plant practically oozes from this honey.Does it work?Kinda. I mean, for skin conditions, it seemed to reduce some redness and swelling, but it's thick and sticky and can cause your skin to sweat under the suffocating glaze of honey. If mixed with other lotions or used sparingly, it appears to have some effect on my cystic acne and unexplained red patches, but for day to day acne it appeared to do NOTHING. All in all, I can't say it's much more than a placebo effect for my skin.Sometimes all you want is a placebo effect.

I had a root infection in my tooth that was giving me a lot of pain. I had seen this product on the Dr. Oz Show, so I thought I would try it. I did visit a dentist web site that claimed Manuka honey worked for root infections if you buy the 15+ rated type. This product is 20+ rated, so I thought it would be fine. I took one teaspoon of the honey three times a day until the jar was empty. Nothing happened. There was no decrease in pain and no cure. I ended up going to my dentist, who prescribed an antibiotic (which I was trying to avoid by taking something natural), and my root infection is now cured. I gave this product two stars because it does taste good.

I think this seller (SportingDoc) sold me a fake product. I bought one bottle of 400+ in December 2015, it tastes good, so I placed another order for 10 bottles of the same product (fedex# 9611019383239501363318) as a gift to my friends in my country. It turns out a complete difference in quality: the color of the condense liquid is lighter, taste like manuka 30+, and I have no idea how all 10 bottles could have the same barcode and serial number. It's not funny at all, giving fake products to my friends in the national holidays.I can't believe such thing could happen on Amazon !!! I'll never buy this again, and will be more cautious buying stuff on amazon.

Personal opinion: don't think it is worth the price we paid for the amount you get.And if you study on the internet how many pounds of manuka honey are harvested - and then study how many pounds they sell = they numbers don't match. You know a lot of it is "fake" or watered down. My mom bought 2 bottles for diverticulitus and it did not help her. Didn't keep her out of the hospital - as she ended up back in the hospital a second time and only IV antibotics helped her. Now she is using lots of fiber not to have a flare/infection again.

February 1, 2017
My mistake...I really like Wedderspoon Manuka honey and use it regularly. I always buy the 17.6 oz size from Wedderspoon and pay around $34 for it. Recently, I mistakenly ordered the 8.8 oz size from another vendor. Big mistake! Thought I was getting the larger amount for around $31. Well, I'll be more careful in the future. I've just paid almost the full price for over 17 oz and got only 8.8. Thought Amazon pricing and vendors were more reliable and honest with their pricing. Be careful, Manuka honey fans! You can easily pay way too much!

... product with the intentions that it would be a great mask/great product to moisturize and potentially help my eczema
April 29, 2015
I purchased this product with the intentions that it would be a great mask/great product to moisturize and potentially help my eczema. I have done much research and could hardly find any negative reviews or bad reactions. I went ahead and mixed the manuka honey with oatmeal and yogurt. After removing, my skin felt soft but overnight, I broke out immensely with several dots on both sides of my cheeks. At first, I thought they were just a typical break out but it didn't feel like acne, just dots. I waited a day or so before trying again because I wasn't sure if it was the yogurt (I have tried an oatmeal, egg white, and normal honey mask before and it never did this). Last night, I used the manuka honey on my face for about 10 minutes (by itself) to test. My face started itching and I rinsed my face. My entire chin had raised rashes on it, so with conclusion, I believe I am allergic to something in this particular honey. I don't want to prevent people from thinking it's a bad product but warn to test a small spot on their arm or side of face first. I am a little disappointed due to the price of the honey (however, it's not bad compared to other versions).
