 I have searched for a quality turntable that comes in a retro case everywhere and wished that there was an audio review for it. I really wanted to hear how it sounded. I have meticulously researched 10 different brands currently being sold and discounted many. I decided to buy one, but after purchasing Crosley CR704C-PA Musician and testing it out, I was highly disappointed and send it back. I decided to purchase this one and found that it is the best on the market in it's price range. The problem with all of them is they have week amplifiers. Crossley sounded alright when I played radio or aux, but sounded pathetic when I played records. Now, I know what a genuine turntable record should sound like. I listen to mine on a Technics 1210 MK5 through powered Yamaha speakers and I did not expect that quality, but what I heard through Crosley sounded as if you're playing records through a "no brand" headphones from back in a day.This player works really well. Cassette and auxiliary work without issues. The sound is much, much better than all the other brands I've listened to (see video). Gets plenty loud enough to listen in other rooms. Now, this one is not without faults. The turntable mechanism is still of Chinese manufacturing and is rather flimsy, but just as flimsy as the rest of them. I had to glue mine to the wood frame it sits in, as it was loose. The needle headshell has a short handle that makes it inconvenient to lift and presents a risk of scratching a record, so I glued a longer one to it. Finally, the needle tends to skip a bit, so I plan to buy a headshell weight and add the weight on top.Currently, it's been in use for about 4 hours over past couple of weeks and has performed up to par.

What a lovely gift for my husband. The wood is beautiful, the radio sounds great--we just opened it last night so I don't know how everything else sounds. The Seller delivered it quickly and so far we are delighted with our purchase.

The package arrived early, which made it great for me. I am impressed with the sound quality. I have a lot of vinyl I inherited from my grandmother and great grandmother. We have been enjoying listening to many of them. So far I have only recorded once and it works great.

For me , this product has been perfectly fantastic - it came packed in an almost bullet - proof carton, open it up - plug it in and you're in business. No BS with the set-up, its one complete package - be sure to read the instructions for recording - other than that I couldn't be happier. This item is perfect for those who don't need a high tech stereo system - just want to flip the On switch and go - the sound is good to me, but who knows I may be Low tech - it looks good & sounds good.

My family got me this unit (they bought it at Bed, Bath & Beyond) for Christmas 2012. I absolutely LOVE IT. We have only used the cd burner once - recorded several records onto discs. I found it easy to do and understand and the CD we burned worked fine in other players including in a vehicle. (that seems to have been an issue for other reviewers) I think the sound is great, although I read a lot of complaints in other reviews. It is beautiful to behold, very sturdy and I personally love the am/fm dial radio option. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing records and have also dug up some old cassettes, which was fun!When you press the buttons to change the source, it takes a couple of seconds to engage - no big deal to me. True that there is not a sound equalizer option, but that doesn't bother me at all - it sounds wonderful.A couple of months ago I decided to get one for my dad for his 77th birthday. I consulted the many reviews of the many different choices and could see that getting a "dud" looked possible. It seems that the quality of these machines is great when you get a good one, but can be a nightmare if you get a faulty one. I was fairly nervous about that after all the review reading - but decided to get him the same one I have, since I have had no problems at all and the buttons are nice and large and light up, making it easier to see and operate. I also liked the single cd simplicity. I had it sent all the way to Alaska (another cause for worry, that's a long trekk!). It arrived shortly after I ordered it and so far everything seems to be in great working order and my mom and dad both love it! He is listening to records he has had for decades and hearing songs he literally hasn't heard for 30 - 40 years! Very cool.I am 100% pleased with this item. I thought the price was great for all the options you get and the sturdy, pretty wood build.

I ordered and returned 3 other turntables from Amazon in this price range because they were so cheaply made, but this player FINALLY fit the bill! It is a great value for the price. Honestly, for a little extra than those made by certain manufacturers that rhyme with Bosley, this is much better quality. It has a very authentic vintage look - no CD player or led screen, etc. The wood is a nice color and not fake looking, and the brassy metal also does not look plastic-y which I found to be a problem with every other record player I bought. And it has bluetooth! It's nice to play through a few records during a party or during dinner, then just pop it over to Spotify from my phone when it gets tedious to change over to a new side/record. The speakers are small but they definitely get pretty loud - if I have it on the highest volume during a dinner party we can't hear each other speak. It's not going to blow out your windows, but if you are looking for a mind-blowing sound experience, then just buy a sound system... I'm new to playing vinyl, but I think part of the charm is being able to hear the background crackles, which this player does well. The low profile of this player also allows it to sit nicely even when open on a bookshelf, which didn't work so well with the taller vintage looking players. Highly recommended!!!

How I regretted giving away my turntable years ago when I foolishly thought I'd never need it again! I found myself with a vinyl album that I wanted to play and also convert into a digital version somehow. While I haven't tested out the conversion component yet, the actual playback of the record was awesome. It also connects to your external Bluetooth speaker which expands its output quality. Love this!

It sounds great when hooked up to my receiver. The speakers, on the record player itself, are not that great.Bluetooth paired with my Samsung tablet (but not my Windows phone (not many things do.)) the exterior looks really nice with a wooden cabinet and antiqued brass looking accessories.The form and function are great.

I've was looking for a record player as a gift for my fiance. I purchased this one and we just love it. Very stylish, looks great in our living room. We do have it hooked up to our sound bar for a better sound quality. The bluetooth function was a must and it is easy to use. We even use the radio tuner.

Beautiful turntable! It has the vintage look that I was looking for and sounds great! The bluetooth feature, turntable and radio all work great. So far I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I base a lot of my amazon purchases on reviews and took a chance on this one since it didn't have very many reviews.. I'm so glad I went with my gut and bought this!Update: One year later and still 100% happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this beautiful turntable!

Love it. Looks great. Speakers better than I expected. I did, however, hook up external speakers as personal preference but they have to be powered speakers for anyone who's curious. All in all, perfect for the casual listener with nostalgic taste.

well put together unit - we are enjoying oursone suggestion would be the addition of a record spindle that would allow holding several stacked records to automatically drop after the first one plays

I give it a 4 & 1/2 . There was a minor problem with the record arm , aut a local eletronics store was able to fix , and now everything works like it should .

my dad loves it, the only thing he wishes was that instead of the knob for the stations, it could of been in digital... had to remind him that this is what it looked like when he was younger, lol but very awesome

Very nice turntable. The bluetooth works very good as well, the only thing I would like is for it to have more volume. And I couldn't use other speakers with it because it doesn't have a connection for that. Too bad because the sound is good but soft. Well made, beautiful look of wood, I am pleased with the purchase!

I personally liked it into works as expected it was easy to use and set up everything worked and it arrived in great condition. I bought it as a wedding gift but I end up liking it so much I just ended up buying one for my self lolOnly issue was that the volume was subpar. But that's fine. Would still recommend this.

Plays my old albums. Only thing I wish it would do is when the record finishes it would play the album again.

It's a nice looking piece, but, it's a little hard to use. The buttons are stiff and the turntable 'release leaver' was also. The sound button doesn't turn down soft enough for my ears.

It is real sensitive when it plays albums. A lot skip and there are no visible scratches on the albums. It records good though.

Sound is a little week and no adjustment for treble or base.

The product works great....the only problem I have is that on the lid there is an indention as if the music center had been damaged when something else banged up against it before it was packaged...I checked the box it came in and there were no damages to the outside of the box...I must assume this was done at the factory

I do like this stereo. I like the look and I love being able to play vinyl again. However, the sound is awful. I ordered some external speakers to help with this, but I was really looking forward to hearing good music on vinyl again. You won't get that crisp, clear sound from this that you remember. Rather is sounds more like a transistor radio with zero bass.

Lousy speakers mar this otherwise decent product, though the knobs feel cheap and I question the build quality. The audio out works well, fortunately, and hooked to an amplifier it's a good way to stream bluetooth or listen to records.

Had to return it due to the turntable being warped. I re-ordered and hopefully this one will be fine.

We haven't tried it yet as it's a Xmas gift and that it's the nature of my complaint. Theres a picture of it on the side of the box!! So that surprise was totally ruined. I hope it works...

this thing sounds like an old portable am radio the buttons to select operation dont work and if you return you are stuck with $70 shipping so overall my experience is STAY AWAY

The most disappointing feature was the turntable. No problems with the first LP I played. The second LP skipped several times on the last track. Third LP started skipping immediately and was unlistenable. The most recently-released LP played the worst; the oldest one (by the Mills Brothers, probably released in the late '50s or early '60s) was fine. Don't know if there is a technical explanation for my findings. [Are grooves farther apart on older LPs?] No problems with the cassette player, CD player, or AM/FM radio. Sound quality was mediocre, which I attribute to the presumably inexpensive speakers. The day after I received this unit I returned it and did NOT order a replacement.

There is no auto return as someone had posted. The tone arm just stays at the end of the record while it spins and then stops and then starts spinning again.But I am returning this unit because the remote does NOT have an a button to turn the unit off and on. Never heard of a remote that did not have that feature to turn the device on and off...until now. Disappointing.

I am not satisfied with my purchase - it will not play records - I am returning it for a new one and if that one does not work, I plan on getting my money back.. I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great idea and I truly hope they get it prefected. This machine has many flaws and is difficult to operate, for me at least. The concept is grand and I would reorder one in a flash if I knew they have prefected it.

I thought after research this would be great for our dining room and it was for 6 months until a speaker went out. Now we have to utilize warranty which is a hassle. Hoping to receive a new one and that this issue does not occur again.

The sound on this item went bad after less than 6 months of use. It was just past the return date. It's so bad we can't even use it for background music. Very disappointing.

It's a nice looking unit. The sound is really crappy out of the built in speakers. My phone has better sound than those. Even the audio out didn't seem to work right and had low volume. Just really disappointing. The knobs were also plastic rather than metal making it feel a bit cheap.

This is a novelty item being sold at the price point of an actual AV item. The bluetooth does work and outputs to a stereo system through the RCA outputs decently. The output sound when playing a record, on the other hand, is beyond bad. Advertising this as something that anyone would integrate into their stereo system is misleading. This is really just a toy.

I am really upset because this turn table would've been perfect for me. Perfect look, perfect features, however there is on little mistake: the turn table is wobbly! I have read other reviews that mentioned this as well and people provided advice and have said to try different records however I want to play the records that I want to and that I've purchased and not be limited to certain records just so that the turn table won't be wobbly! I'm so disappointed and very sad to be returning this item. If you want to play 33 1/3 records do not purchase this turn table!

Bought so that the record player would be able to connect to my bluetooth speakers but it cannot. You can connect other devices to the record player via bluetooth but sound quality of the tiny speakers is so poor you wouldn't want to.

This is the second one of these I have purchased. The first one, the record player quit. The second one, the tape player never worked. Past the Amazon return date, so I'm stuck with it. Will not buy again.

Would give this 0 stars if we could. We tried so hard to keep this Victrola music system -- Even ordered a 2nd one in the hope the 1st one we received was just a defective lemon but both were frustratingly aggravating and had to be returned! At 1st look out of the box these appear to be even nicer than anticipated with a very nice solid wood cabinet and glossy finish. Set it up in 5 minutes and tried the FM radio and the reception was very clear even without unrolling the wire antenna. AM also clear. Cassette player worked great as did the record player. And the sound coming out of the speakers was surprisingly rich and very clear. But this great 1st impression turned sour when we realized we must've received one of the units other reviewers mentioned had buggy volume controls because at the lowest volume level of "1" it was so loud we had difficulty hearing a normal conversation in the same room. Forget listening quietly while you read or work on something and NO we are not geriatric oldsters who just hate loud music! We love loud music when we want it loud, but the volume level "1" on this unit is the same sound level as 5 to 7 on our other audio equipment. Not exaggerating. But we liked the looks of the unit and the sound was actually pretty nice although way too loud. So we tried another unit thinking it must be better and guess what it was worse and even louder! Same problem with the volume at lower levels plus now a new problem with very unresponsive function buttons. Sometime they worked, sometime they didn't. You know with any electronic device this is a very bad sign because it rarely gets better. So unit 2 was returned also. As always Amazon was terrific with the returns. What a shame. It could've been great except for a manufacturer using the cheapest quality parts possible just to save a few pennies but wastes a very nice wood cabinet. Believe the reviewers who say these are just junk inside a pretty cabinet and do not buy them. Odds are even if they do work correctly it sadly won't be for long.

Cassette buttons didn't work so I returned it.

This item never worked properly. Sound was never audible when the turntable was used. I sent this back for replacement and the replacement Victoria did not work either.

Purchased this for my wife for her birthday 25Nov. So I had it staying in the box during that time. Bring it out for her to play her records on her birthday and it does not spin records at all. Product had never been opened prior, but as return date had passed stuck with the product. Unfortunate as beautiful design and set up.

Record player Wouldn't work at all

Skipped constantly on new vinyl. Sound was very lacking unless chipmunks in stereo was the makers goal.

The turntable didn't work when he opened it Christmas morning. What a bummer. So I ordered a replacement. The replacement was used/refurbished and the turntable didn't work on it either. Double bummer. Returning it for a refund. I'll find one that works somewhere else.

There were dents and damage on outside edges of the record player upon arrival, even though the box was in good shape. Cheap plastic face and knobs. The first record I tried playing was a thick vintage 12" record. It did not fit, the edge of the LP scraped on the front panel.You are better off buying a used record player.

Returned. The turntable was wobbly and made a loud clicking noise when playing. Seems more like a toy than a piece of legitimate audio equipment. For the price I will buy a nicer used piece next time.

I received this as a Christmas gift and the turntable spun unevenly. When I contacted the manufacturer, they wanted me to pay to ship it to them and include $30 to ship it back! I was not about to spend ~$60 to have a product that was defective when I received it repaired. Fortunately, Amazon helped me out and I was able to return it and order a replacement. However, the replacement came today and had the same problem. The wobble isn't quite as severe on this one and it works fine with 7"s but 12"s skip like crazy. I will be returning this one and purchasing another brand.
