Bachelor must have! Kill your TV!
April 16, 2017
I have fallen in love. This thing is the best! Wish the legs were a little longer. But I planned on putting it on a tv stand anyways.
Love it!
March 25, 2017
Really cool retro record player. I have many of my parents' albums from the fifties and sixties, so easy to play on this record player. Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, Vic Damone, etc... Pretty good sound from the built in speakers too. Use it every day!
Great sounding record player and very stylish
December 11, 2016
Great sounding record player and very stylish. If you're a fan of the 60s/70s space age / modern aesthetic and want a decent record player, I would recommend this. The record player is well built, durable, and has great sounding speakers with a quality needle (made by Audio Technica). I know Crosley has a reputation of being sub-par or economical record players, but this one is well worth it.
I can finally enjoy my vinyl collection!
August 11, 2016
Ok so I never write reviews, I just read them sometiems, but I just had to come back to write a review on this product. I am huge when it comes to music so I always need something that is going to be enjoyable to listen to. This exceeded apl my expectations of this product. It looks FANTASTIC, very vintage and retro, great look, it gets pretty loud and as a rocker is how I love my music, and the sound quality is rediculous! has very good bass end because if the size of the hollow body. I had previously owned the Crosley Briefcase turntable (my first turntable) and I was not always into the sound because it was all muffled treble and had no bass and didnt get loud at all, so I kind of started straying away from listening to vinyl but I kept collecting. Now? The sound quality and volume on this thing is so smooth and just fantastic. I'm getting a fresh look at my product, it just came in the mail and I just plugged it in and I was blown away by my test run. Now I get to listen to all my vinyl I've been collecting!
It plays a record well and looks good doing it
April 19, 2016
It plays a record well and looks good doing it. If you are someone who has to have the very best sound quality with all the latest tech then this is not for you. However it is perfect for playing records at a comfortable and enjoyable volume in your home, with a sound quality that I feel is quite impressive for the size and price.
Does its job and looks boss

So far it's doing its job and I got no complaints. It looks snazzy and it plays fine. What more do you want for a couple hundred bucks?

Rich sounds from old LPs
June 29, 2017
This was a gift to me from my family and I love it. They told me of all the research they did, to find the best turntable and I am thrilled with the results. I am no expert on tonal quality. If you want that kind of review, look elsewhere. If you are like me, a music lover who yearns for the old sound of vinyl, I think you'll be well-pleased with this choice. I am very pleased with the rich sounds from old LPs. I have to admit I haven't tried the cd player yet. The radio was tried briefly. It also sounded wonderful but I have not tested its range.
Good value
April 3, 2017
Was looking for a basic record player for my husband who has a small record collection. This one caught my eye because of the design. It has character and is reminiscent of something he may have grown up with. The sound quality is definitely sufficient for our purposes, and I like the other features the player has, although we haven't had the chance to really use them. All in all I think this was a good purchase on my part.
I've been pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase
February 16, 2016
I'm so excited about this I had to write a review. With all the mixed reviews I wasn't sure how I would feel about this record player. I've been pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase!
It looks great and it plays so much better than I imagined . I followed the instructions by taking off the stylus cover and made sure to screw down the transit screw and we were listing to records I haven't heard in so long.
I taught my seven year old son how to use it . I was happy to see there was a Cue lever. SO nice! My teenage son wanted to try the AUX cord which worked great also . The plug for the AUX is in the BACK of the device. Next to the on/off switch. The front is for headphones which also worked excellent even with my young sons off brand headphones. Cd player also, to my surprise, worked fantastic with an old CD I had laying around. The sound is decent . It doesn't have much base or sound like anything that were use to hearing today but it still is loud and sounds good. My real reason for purchasing this was for the record player alone and all the other stuff is a added bonus.
This is something my boys will remember for a long time!
Sound quality is good. Fairly easy to figure out how to work ...
October 16, 2015
The sound systems advantages:

Multi-faceted: Plays USB, vinyl, CD and radio.

Plugs into the wall out of the box (many USB players take batteries, or you have to get your own adapter plug).

Sound quality is good. Fairly easy to figure out how to work the radio, record player and CD player.
If you are wanting a unique "old school" look for a player as a display piece as well as entertainment; this is definitely it!

Disadvantages:
The record player speed selection is hard to read (small letters that are raised plastic that is black in color). (Can fix by painting the raised plastic with white paint to make them easier to see).

The USB is a bit tricky to figure out, but is easy to do once it is figured out.

The USB reading program is very primitive and if you have a lot of files (more than, say, 30), you will have a lot of searching to do (and the files are just labeled by a number as a "one line" output). The USB could be made easier to get files if the screen allowed for more than just numbers (or if more than "one line" were an option for the data, that would help a lot; being able to see the folders as on a computer screen would be a fantastic feature). Easy fix: put your music on several smaller USB drives so the searching isn't so cumbersome.

Overall a very nice system with a great look!
When converted to mp3, Amazing Sound.
December 4, 2014
I bought this to put some of my "no longer for sale" albums onto a USB so I could get them into itunes and listen to them on my iPod or my receiver speakers. The machine recorded one side of a whole album as one song. Apparently you can make it create a new mp3 when a new song starts but I haven't figured that out. The record didn't sound that great on this machine but I took my USB recording and played it through iTunes to my receiver speakers and the sound was amazing, wonderful, incredibly good. I could hardly believe that this machine had recorded the sound so well.

I'm so happy I bought this.

There were many things I really liked about the record player
February 24, 2017
There were many things I really liked about the record player. The style and the way it looked was exactly what I was looking for. My house is almost a 100 years old with designs that are very charming from the past. The record player looked beautiful in the corner living room right under the old outlet plug for the days when radios were plugged into homes. The only thing I wish is that the record player would be taller. I had to reposition my furniture so it would be seen. But other than that I love playing my old records on them and the sound is great!
It looks great and was easy to set up
January 7, 2017
My first record player. I honestly chose it for the design and my affinity for midcentury modern. It looks great and was easy to set up. It was also louder than expected. Very pleased with this purchase!
It sounds good and looks cute
November 30, 2016
This came hidden in a box within a box. It is very cute. I agree with some of the others for the price more care could be taken to the finish. The faux chrome on the front has some bubbles in it and the fabric on the lift top has some sloppy edges. It sounds good and looks cute. Overall I enjoy it. But I do feel perhaps I paid a little too much....

I love it. I was so happy with the purchase. It was easy to put together and easy to use. The only thing I didn't realize was how short it was. It still looks good in the house though, and the sound is amazing!

I just received my record player and am very pleased. The sound quality is impressive and you can definitely hear the intricacies and warmth that can only come from a record player. The vintage style certainly adds to this record player's appeal. I will say that it appears a bit larger in the picture. That said, I believe someone correctly listed the height of the player in the comments or question/answer section, so I knew when I purchased it exactly what size it would be. Luckily, it fit perfectly with the other furniture I have which are somewhat lower to the ground.
Great design and beautiful color
March 28, 2016
Great design and beautiful color. It's a novelty turntable so don't expect great things sonically. It does have a better stylus (Audio-Technica) than other Crosleys I've seen, but my most prized records don't go anywhere near this thing.

Waltzing with the record.
November 21, 2016
I bought this turntable for my mom's birthday gift. It arrived on time as expected. My mom and dad were thrilled to receive it. I helped them set it up. It was easy. As instructed, I had to lower the elevated screw all the way down to free up the turntable. i tested the turntable and the sound brought me back to my childhood days. It sounded like how turntables sounded in the 60s and 70s. While spinning the record it appeared wobbly. But then again I have seen older turntables doing the same thing with no effect on performance. It must be part of the design. I also tested the cd, radio and aux. all worked as expected.
My mom loved it. She loved that it looked like the turntables that she grew up with. She loves watching the records spin as according to her, the turntable waltzes with the record. This was the beauty of the electrohome turntable.
Bought it used
April 6, 2016
I bought a used one. Was shipped in perfect condition. I have found no scratches. I am only doing four stars at the moment because I have had it for only one day. The only thing I will suggest is that you get a short screw driver for the screw that holds the turn table down. I almost stripped mine with the angle I had to come at it cause the lid did not move back as far as I thought it would have. The sound is amazing so far. I was not expecting it to be so loud after I heard what people were saying, but I m very happy with the sound quality. I have only used it for records so far and I love that there is a slight crackle sound when it plays. I have always wanted that since listening to my friends wind up player. I would highly recomend this to others.
Awesome! Might buy for myself!
April 5, 2015
(Bad features at end) I bought this as a sweet 16 for my cousin and I wanted to test it since some of the reviews said theirs came in broken and because I wanted to play with it a little too. I love that it's real wood and it has so many features. The things that I don't like is the sound quality is just okay and that the record player part jiggles really hard and feels incredibly cheap. I also am not a fan of the aux cord being in the back instead of the front and there are stickers in it that left a lot of residue. All that aside I do absolutely move this and recommend if if you want a cheaper player
Shipping, Skipping, and Sound
March 18, 2015
I order this as a gift, but it did not make it in time because of "shipping back up on the coast" it came a week late. This alone would have made me rate it two stars because they did not tell me what was going on, I had to contact them, and plus the fact it makes me question where my product is from; however the customer service was outstanding, replied immediately and addressed my concerns. As for the product, it really is beautiful, sound was decent maybe even good, but like any electronic product the more you spend, the better the sound, so you get what you pay. Like other reviewers have said about it skipping on newer records, we did experience it once, it was not a problem it was at the beginning and we both thought it was the needle weighing it down and causing a delay. I'm okay with it because it wwas minor, but you may want to put it into consideration.

Overall it's really amazing to look at and watch, sounds good, radio works great, and it just an overall unique, decent priced product! I rated it short of five stars due to the questionable delivery and sound, even though it was as expected, it would be nice to have a little better sound quality. But after searching and reading all reviews I really do believe this is the best choice for this price range, and would recommend anyone buying it!
Very good, but not quite world-class
December 30, 2014
I bought this player for my girlfriend. It looks beautiful and plays well with good, loud sound. I have a couple of issues:

The turntable kind of just sits loose on the unit instead of actually being attached to the wood frame with screws or glue or something. I don't think this is an actual problem, but it just makes the whole thing feel a little bit cheaper.

The arm has no adjustable weight, making some records skip occasionally. This is nothing that can't be solved by the old quarter trick, however.

The radio dial seems to be slightly misaligned. I tuned in to a radio station I know, and the display said that it was a few channels lower than it actually was.

All in all however, everything works very well. I have had no major problems. This is a good product and I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a quality all-in-one record player.

I was disappointed when 2 of the four legs did not screw into the unit properly. I had to contact crosley for them to be replaced. it took too long for the replacements to arrive. I was thinking of buying another one once mine arrived. I thought my briother would like it since he is a retro kind of guy...not sure now. Otherwise it is what I expected---nothing more.

It Is What It Is...
March 23, 2016
...and the reason I say that to set the expectation level because I really wanted this to work. I have a turntable in my basement, but when my wife renovated our den, she suggested I look for a portable/all-in-one record player for that room. After doing some research, reading reviews and discussing at my local record store I decided to take a chance with this model (even though I should've used my better judgement because everything I came across was steering me away from any Crosley record player). Here are some things to note:In terms of aesthetics:- The record player itself has a cool mid-century modern look to it, but it's pretty large.- The legs are detachable, and screw into the bottom if you want. I did not intend to set it up on the legs, and it kind of felt like there was a microwave on our credenza.- The lid will stay in that upright position, as shown in the graphic (I had read where some others models did not).In regards to production/quality:- It's still comprised of cheap plastic, for the most part.- The platter wasn't quite 12" in diameter, but was large enough to support a 12" record so that it did not appear to wobble.- There is no counterweight to balance the tone arm. I probably would've cringed if I had given my copy of Abbey Road a spin.- The sound was OK. Again, I knew what I was getting myself into, so I wasn't expecting to be blown away. I will say that when I plugged some basic computer speakers into the headphone jack it sounded MUCH better. Conclusion:I returned it. One thing to note is that there was no free shipping on the return--even though I bought it via Amazon Prime--so I was out about $18 to send it back. If you're not too concerned with great sound or potential damage to your vinyl, and just want something that plays records and might make a cool accent piece in your room--this could be for you. I know Crosley is trying hard to change their reputation and make better products, but I don't think they're just quite there yet.
Great sound but cheap finish on the front corner piece.

Record player works great, however, not impressed at all with the cheap quality finish on the front.

Defective CD player out of the box.
July 10, 2017
CD player does not open. Never used it and on my first try after using the record player happily for months I discovered that the CD player is completely defective. I thought I would have to go through a lengthy process to return it via the warranty, but I was able to look on youtube how to manually open the thing and was able to stick a fingernail file under the tray and now it opens.
Wobbly record player
September 13, 2016
There's a wobble... But I'm not gunna return/exchange it because I'm too lazy. I think the only time that the wobble is really bad is when there's a warped record playing. But so far the wobbling doesn't seem to affect the sound. But the speakers aren't the best/clearest around. There really isn't much bass. But I didn't expect something super high quality. I'm only planning on playing my records on medium-low volume in my bedroom. But a lot of the plastic seems cheap. For some reason you are able to basically move around the area where the record sits too. I grew up with record players of all types minus a vintage style box like this, so I don't know if this is normal. But the photos show what I said I can move
Sound could be much better, CD player doesn't work well
May 28, 2016
I had the Philco vinyl player for many years and truly enjoyed it. After over 10 years, and having moved about 10 times, the belt failed and the CD player broke. I then found out that the company no longer makes these players, which was unfortunate because I really loved the sound of it. To me, vinyls always sound better than CDs or other digital music.
I shopped for a replacement on Amazon and I was really looking forward to enjoying the Electrohome. Unfortunately, it left more to to be desired. The speakers were weak so I bought some fairly good computer speakers which improved the power of the sound. However, the depth and detail to the sound were still missing. It sounded just like another CD player. When I used to play my vinyls on my Philco or other LP players, I could tell distinctively that I am playing a vinyl and not a CD.
And speaking of CDs, the CD player of this unit does not work well. There are several CDs that I tried on it that keep skipping and fail to play. These same CDs played ok on my cheap CD player and my car CD player. Some CDs play ok on the Electrohome. But it was disappointing that neither the vinyl or CD player of the Electrohome are up to standard. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 is because the price was a lot cheaper than the Philco that I used to own for many years. However, I would have been willing to pay more for a unit that works better than this one. All the units that I looked at on Amazon did not have the specs that I was looking for. That's why I decided to try my luck on the Electrohome. If I chose to return it, I realize that I would have to ship the unit back at my own expense. Plus it would be so much hassle to have to pack it etc. That's why I decided to just settle for it for now. To sum up, it's ok. I'm just a little disappointed at the quality.
Beautiful? Yes
April 23, 2016
Beautiful? Yes. Functional? Yes, it does have a lot of functions. But its really not the best quality. It was suppose to auto-return and it didn't, right out of the box. It doesn't play some of our albums without a penny taped to the arm (which is bad for the records). We chose this one to match our decor, but I wish I had gone for a better quality player instead. That being said, the speakers are Great. We hook it up to our TV because the speakers on the TV are pretty bad, and it does the trick.
Wished I had read some of the reviews before purchasing this as a gift for my wife.
January 7, 2016
Like the looks of the unit and the price is good. When I first lifted the hood I noticed the hinge on the back right side was not functioning properly. After further inspection I noticed that the six screws were not tightened properly. They were all inserted about half way into the top and the base unit. I was not really too thrilled about having to tighten these screws myself, but very carefully I completed the tightening without a problem and the top now opens and closes properly. I have played three 33 1/3 records that are in excellent condition and I am having a problem with the needle arm skipping on the records, especially the first couple of songs. I am going to get in touch with Electrohome and see if there is some type of adjustment or a major problem with the unit. I thought it might be a problem with the first record I played, but the 2nd and 3rd album did the same skipping. The units wood is a medium cherry finish. It would be nice if the dials had some type of lighting system. All in all the sound quality and the speakers are good, but it would be nice if the CD player would record directly from a the records.

Decent turntable, but a little disappointed with the sound quality. Other reviews indicated the sound quality was good. Only had it for a few days so far, but there's a good amount of static coming through he speakers.
I wish I had done more research before purchasing
March 7, 2016
This is the "training wheels" version of a record player. It's the starter kit that you quickly outgrow, and which makes you realize your naivety. After playing your first few records, you'll realize the lack of quality sound from the built-in speaker. This will lead you to doing further research regarding preamps/quality speakers, and will make you realize the limitations of this turntable. If you're just looking for a "hipster" chic record player, this is it, but if you care about quality, do more research - I wish I had.
Great aesthetic, poor sound and build quality
August 23, 2015
The "from-a-distance" aesthetic value of the belt-driven Crosley Dansette is amazing -- seriously, it looks awesome when you walk into a room and see it sitting there -- but the build quality and audio components are subpar considering the $200+ price tag. After approximately three weeks of use, I had to return mine due to an alternating whine/hum it had developed. Needless to say, I was disappointed and asked for a full refund rather than a replacement.
I love the look of this
May 12, 2015
I love the look of this. I wanted something that could stand on its own, could be closed when playing and had a speaker. This is everything I was looking for and was very excited and happy with the 10 records it played but then it just stopped working for no reason. I am waiting for approval to return this one now and I would like the try another one and hopefully it works this time.

Not for me
June 17, 2016
The seller was great! and did a return quick and no hassle!!!!!!!!!!

I returned this item. As when you first plugged it in it did a humming noise like the power supply/ and/or amp had an issue.

Even with that I attempted to play a few albums. It seems to skip on the albums they do not skip on other players. There is not a counter balance to help adjust this issue. You also get feed back from the record due to the build in speakers.
I suppose it's possible that I wasn't using it correctly or that the vinyl I tested it with was bad. However
June 7, 2016
Everything worked well except the record player - which for me was the main point of the whole device. Full disclosure I know very little about record players, but I was told that the turntable was cheap. The vinyl spun with a wobble and the result was very tinny sounding music. I suppose it's possible that I wasn't using it correctly or that the vinyl I tested it with was bad. However, I consulted with a seemingly knowledgeable employee at a record shop downtown and he said that in general these all-in-one devices are known for disappointing quality.

The speakers themselves sounded great with the aux hookup, and the interface was pretty satisfying. The knobs were tight and clicked solidly when you turned them, and the warm light from the dial gave it a nice glowing effect. It's an okay product and if you plan to use all the features equally it may be worth it. I did end up sending it back though out of disappointment from the record player.
CD player does not work
February 12, 2016
I bought this unit for my husband for Christmas. We haven't had a chance to set it up as we just had our first baby in early January. However we decided to open it up and put the player in our sons room so we can play music for him. The unit itself is very nice the record player and radio all work. Unfortunately the CD player does not work it sounds as though the laser reader is getting jammed and anytime I tried to put a CD in it says no disc. Which is unfortunate because I had bought my son a bunch of CDs to listen to. I waited too long to return the item as its past 30 days so unfortunately I'm with a unit that doesn't play the CDs that I had bought.
This product looks great. Unfortunately
March 4, 2015
This product looks great. Unfortunately, we had to send it back due to it spinning too fast and you couldn't make adjustments that actually slowed it down. Also, the turntable wobbled so much that it caused the records to skip. The company WON'T refund, therefore, it cost me 20$ to send it back only to find out that they tried to repair my current player instead of sending a brand new one. The second time my player arrived, it spun correctly but the turntable still wobbled and my records still skipped. They still wouldn't refund it. At least they are now paying for the shipping, but I do not have confidence in their product at this point. They have promised to exchange a new one this time. We will see if the new one works as expected.......

April 19, 2017
The sound isn't that great. It isn't that bad, either, but what's upsetting is the fact I had to change the needle after a month and they're crazy expensive. The small on-off button also broke after two months. I won't be buying another Crosley ever again. They have the cuteness down but they need to work on functionality.

33 or 45? Trick question!
August 24, 2016
I bought this a year ago as a gift for someone. Long story short it stayed in storage for a year and ended up in my home. The speed control is faulty. Set it to 33 and everything sounds like the Chipmunks. Set it to 45 and it sounds like Chipmunks still. Occasionally we get a 33 to play the way it should, but halfway through the track the player speeds up to higher RPMs without explanation. The sound quality of the speakers is rubbish. It's like listening to a tin can, but even that is more satisfying because you get to eat the contents first. 1 star, unless by some miracle the seller is able to provide a working product or refund.

Buyer beware!!
September 7, 2017
Buyer beware! Another customer review stated the CD player was dead on arrival, but I took a chance based on all the good reviews.
My unit arrived with a dead CD player, it doesn't even spin, it just displays "no" on the CD display.
I contacted customer service (only available from 9-5, and on chat) to troubleshoot the problem. Their solution was to unplug the unit for one hour and then try again. Anyone with any electrical knowledge knows that unplugging for an hour will do nothing more than a simple reset for a small period of time would do. I believe this is their tactic to push me off and hope I didn't contact them again during their skimpy customer service window. After that, I was only allowed to email with serial numbers and full printed pdf forms of receipts with all kinds of nonsense required for a unit I only had for 3 days.
I purchase many things online and have never had such a problem with a defective unit. I could understand if I had had the product for a year and was trying to use the warranty, but for something that came dead on arrival, I expect a fair exchange with a working unit. They want me to send it back for a repair. Ridiculous!!!

Also, this isn't really as nice of a product as they let on. They state in the description the acoustics are great with the lid open, but it doesn't sound any different one way or another. I'm going to return the item and use a different company. So disappointed.
Terrible.

Returned. The plastic turntable wobbled so bad to the point that the record was rubbing against the wood in the opening on the back. Sounds was tinny with no bass. And to add insult to injury, the metal "control panel" was screwed on crooked so that it was at a noticeable angle when sitting flat on the table. I received a full refund for the turntable from Amazon as soon as UPS scanned the return label. I'd also bought an extended warranty. The refund for that took about a week. But I got all my money back.
Wobbly Wellington
November 18, 2014
We are so disappointed that this did not work. From the 5 star rating, I thought I found the perfect record player for our son, with MP3 encoding. He was very excited about getting our record collection onto his MP3 player. We ended up donating our working 12- year old TEAC record player combo while waiting for this to arrive. I feel like an idiot for doing that.

The Electrohome Wellington record player looks amazing, real wood, metal front, so lovely. The sound, when it worked, was pretty good. It plays very old records just fine. But lo and behold, if we try to play a newer record, it wobbles real bad, sounds awful, and skips. I read comments on Amazon about workarounds, but we should not have to do that to a brand new record player. This should work out-of-the-box. I read a comment that the company is aware of the problem. Why continue to sell this if it has a defect? Then there are the comments regarding the 1-year warranty, having to pay shipping to have it repaired, that they do not repair this problem, and the slow turnaround. The literature that comes with it asks that we do not return it to Amazon and contact Electrohome. But I cannot afford losing the ability to return it to Amazon for a refund while hoping they fix it, and also pay for shipping something I just bought that should work.

What really upsets me, is there seems to be nothing dependable out there with decent ratings. So this is it? Electrohome came so close to making something really worthwhile. They should fix the problem they are obviously aware of. There is no excuse for this to not play records, old and new, without a wobble that ruins the sound and makes it skip. I had a 12-year old system that did so marvelously. Why can't we find companies that care about making a great product anymore? Seriously.

So, to sum up, the bad reviews here are legit regarding the turntable wobble. I am posting this review to let you know it is a gamble buying this record player. And if for some stupid reason your record player works out of the box, remember their wonderful 1-year warranty is useless.
Turntable not functional
May 20, 2014
The CD, radio and auxiliary systems works perfectly. The turntable was not functional - so currently waiting on replacement. So far the customer service has been fast and efficient. Stylistically the unit looks exactly like the photos and is a definitely worth the purchase.
Beautiful, but made with faulty parts on the inside :( I only got 5 plays before the motor stopped working.
December 14, 2013
I really wanted a good quality record player, that looked like the style of older record players. So after searching I found this one and thought it looked beautiful and it looked well crafted from the images, and it was very beautiful when it arrived. I carefully set it up, as per instructions, and everything seemed to be working just fine... The only problem is that after I played about 5 records on it, the motor that spins the turn table just stopped working. Do not be decieved by the beautiful exterior, because on the inside, it is made with cheap material. It broke my heart that I had to end up sending it back...
