I've been using this for over 2 years now and I wouldn't use anything else. I hardly ever get any razor bumps anymore. It works great for not just your face, but for all the other parts of your body that you like nicely shaven ;)

I purchased travel size Jack Black products for my husband as a stocking stuffer. He fell in love with this product so much that he bought this big container with a pump. He says he1. Loves how little he has to use2. Loves the smell3. Says it's the closest shave he has ever gotten4. It's not so slippery that he gets knicks5. No rashesHe made an excellent point after doing the math that for as long as this lasts him and as little as he has to use compared to other products, he is actually saving money over all the products you can purchase in the drug store! Pretty fantastic pricing for a far superior product.He uses it to shave his whole head and face.

I have been using the jack black beard lube with my safety razor for the last year and I can say that it has been the best thing I have found for my face. My process is something like this... I rub some into my whiskers before I take a shower then I stand in the shower with the hottest water I can handle for about two minutes right on my face. When is soon as I get out of the shower I do not dry my face off and I stepped over to the sink and apply more Jack black beard lube and massage it into my whiskers making sure that my face is still wet. Then I use my safety razor and the hairs just fall off. I have a very Fred Flintstone like beard and this has been the best and the least irritating shaving cream or gel I've ever used. The price may seem a little high but it's worth it.

Jack Black Beard Lube is more than a wonderful luxury -- which it is -- but also now a necessity. The smell is fantastic ...clean and masculine. The feel is silky, and the shave is far (FAR) closer than with any other product I have used in the past for shaving, in volving less effort, less pressure, and fewer strokes across the face with the razor. One push of the convenient pump dispenses the perfect amount for a shave, and at the (extremely slow, nearly invisible) rate my bottle is emptying, I am certain it will prove more cost-effective than the shaving gels and creams found in in the drug stores and grocery stores. I recommend this product enthusiastically, and imagine those who trust my recommendation and give it a try will be surprised -- as I was -- by how much they love it!

beard lube.sounds weird. lube. beard lube.im a shaving cream shaver. or at least i was. i got a sample pack type grooming kit for xmas last year. used the cologne and the lotion in it and it was good stuff. didnt use the 'beard lube' though. thought it was silly or something. just used my plain old shaving cream.little more info on me: my neck is f'ed up as far as how the hair grows. some grows up, some grows down...sideways..its all over the place. i get ingrown hairs and red bumps on my neck after shaving quite often because of this. it sucks.so one day i unfortunately ran out of my beloved shaving cream. faced with not shaving, shaving with some hand soap or using the 'lube' i went with the lube. i went with the lube. figured i had nothing to lose..the beard lube makes a difference. its different to shave with. its not thick like a shaving cream. its almost like theirs nothing there. it doesnt take much either. and its clear. so when your shaving, its almost like theres nothing there.anyway, i used it that day and afterwards my neck wasnt red. none of the usual bumps. hmmmm....i tried it again the next time i shaved. same results. soon after the sample bottle ran out. oh well..back to the standard shaving cream.and the return of the red bumps and all that.a quick trip to amazon and im ordering up more beard lube. couple days later its here and my shavings changed forever. does it cost more than regular shaving cream? yes. can i pick it up at the local grocery store? no. is it worth it? yes. when this bottle runs out, ill buy another. possibly 2 so i wont have to order again so soon.bottom line is, it makes a difference. if you have sensitive skin and problems like i described above, then this might be worth trying. even if you dont, you should try it. its good stuff..shave on brothers....shave on.....

I should get my husband to write this review. He's been using Jack Black shaving lube for the majority of the time of our seven going on eight years together. His skin has been troubled by eczema and some roscea and he's got a demanding beard....plus like a lot of men born during the late 1950s, he is not one to want to fuss over his skin or do anything that lands him in metrosexual land.This Jack Black Beard lube completely changed his skin care attitude, completely changed his shaving routine/ritual with nary a groan or complaint, and his skin troubles are gone. Gone. (full disclosure: he uses a prescription eczema cream and will continue to do so on an as-need basis) His skin looks cared-for and healthy, he is not getting the weather-beaten lines that many men start to get at this time in life (he's 51 this year) and he's not nicking himself - even with what I privately call these dime-store throwaway shavers. In contrast, despite the use of the prescription skin creme for eczema, traditional shaving creams plus a nicer/more expensive shaver with throwaway blades, his face just looked tortured.Until he started using Jack Black Beard lube.The Beard Lube is a silicone-based clear lotion - and only a little bit is needed at any time. Something about its other ingredients keeps skin looking good - noticeably so.I say bite the bullet and try just one bottle or tube. I bet you'll be really pleased. If you are a guy, your woman will swoon over your skin, will enjoy nuzzling your face and purring, and you will NOT feel like you are selling out to the male skin care crowd. You are going to wonder what took you so long to find out about Jack Black Beard Lube and why you aren't stopping reading this now and getting on with ordering some is ---- well, get busy!(p.s. This does exactly what it is supposed to do - the liquid evaporates quickly and a wax layer is left.Unfortunately the nozzle on the bottle let's a lot of liquid flow out, it's impossible to just put a drop on something - like a pocketknife or a door hinge

This is a must for anyone putting serious miles on a bike.Using lubrication on your gears makes such a huge difference. This makes pedalling easier and shifting so smooth. I liberally apply after cleaning my chain. Do not ride without it!

Good product, goes on easy and stays on. Clean the chain with simple green, dry with towel or blower and apply lubricant to chain as you move the chain through all the gears. Wipe off excess lubricant and enjoy the ride.

Pretty much my favorite all around chain lube. Pedros Ice Wax is nice but tends to get gummy. This is light for everyday road rides up to about 100 miles. Does not seem to pick up dirt as bad as some others.

I have used most lubricants available today. Generally speaking, you can't go wrong with Finish Line products. I use the wet and the dry lube. The dry lube leaves a good coating of Teflon and does very well at repelling road grit Be sure to shake it well before using. The 3 pack is a better price-if your usage is greater than the average bear.

the item pictured actually shows the 2 oz bottle, which i have purchased from bike shops in the past, so i was pleasantly surprised when a larger 4 oz bottle arrived with my order. the price for the 4oz on Amazon is actually cheaper than what i paid for the 2 oz bottle at a bike shop, so i got double the amount for less. as far as quality goes, i'll probably never use anything other than dry teflon lube on my bike ever again. i've tried the cheaper 'white lightning' brand chain lubes, but this one clearly stands above them. you'll notice the difference within seconds of riding after doing routine chain maintenance (clean then lube). the pedals rotate with more ease, the churning of the chain sounds like a brand-new bike and i can feel both of my legs achieving a more symmetrical form (no more lazy rotations or wasted energy). probably the best chain lube out there that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

This stuff is slipper than anything I ever used. It works very well andI get an excellent close shave. The slipperiness has one slight drawback, you need a washcloth to get it off after shaving and if you get it on your razor handle, it becomes to slick to control.

This was one of those products I didn't like at first, but then it grew on me. I think I just wasn't using enough. The moisturizer and lubrication are very effective. Only complaint is that this is the first Jack Black product I've received where I really just didn't like the fragrance.

One of the better creams I've used... not too thick that it clogs your razor, and leaves skin feeling fresh without having to use any after shave.

4 stars is because it dries out before I am done shaving. If it would lather a bit where I don't have to add a second coat, I would have given 5 stars.

Beard lube makes a perfect gift for Father's Day, birthdays, Christmas, or even as a stocking stuffer... I buy it for my husband, my dad, and my brother. They all absolutely love this product!!!!! All three have sensitive skin, with coarse thick hair. When they use this product they have clean & smooth shaves. A little goes a very long way, and this sized bottle is a great value. Again, this review should be 5 stars, but while one bottle was wrapped very nicely and did not leak the other wasn't and leaked out into the box. Thankfully not a lot leaked out, but it is still frustrating with such a great product.

I bought this product because it claimed to be a pre-shave lotion and a shaving cream all in one. When applied it warms up the face and leaves a fresh, peppermint-esque smell that isn't over powering and wears off by the time you finish your shave. So far I haven't gotten a great shave when using just this product alone, I feel that a shaving cream is still necessary in addition to this product. I have noticed that after using this product (in combination with the Jack Black post shave cooling gel) that my face is very smooth after a shave, which I like very much.Overall I would recommend this product if you want to take your grooming to the next level.

Product works nice, however after use and before next use you will need to remove the spray nozzle and take a tooth pick and pick out the solidified grease that forms and clogs the spray head after spray is sprayed. I am sure this same grease forms within chain roller components which makes it an excellent lubricating product.

Great stuff. Comes out fast tho. Easy to over lube...but that is better than under I guess.

It works. Used to lube all my locks. Had a Kryptonite mini U lock seize up on me. The internets recommended using this product to prevent it from happening in the future. Now all my motorcycle locks turn smoothly. Also used on some squeaky door hinges and they turn smoothly, now.Will not ship product to Hawaii. Had to ship to a family member's house on the mainland (then they mailed it to me in Hawaii). lame.

I have tried 4 different lubes on my road bike chain.I ride in mostly dry conditions.I have tried Maxima Spray Chain Wax... didn't work for me.I have also tried Rock & Roll Gold, Finish Line Dry Lube, and ProGold ProLink.These 3 products are all okay for lubing the chain.Rock & Roll Gold wants you to use a lot of their product to saturate the chain & flush out the dirt & grime.Rock & Roll Gold is messy, and you have to use a lot of it.Finish Line Dry Lube seems to leave clumps of white material, I think it is PTFE, especially as the bottle gets nearer to empty.It seems to me that it lubricates fine, but seems to attract a lot of road grime to the chain.ProGold ProLink seems to me to leave the chain the cleanest over time. You only apply 1 tiny drop per link, so it is less messythan the other two.In spite of their claims of being dry lubes, they all seem to attract a fair amount of road grime, so you have to reapply moreoften than one would like. ProGold ProLink seems a little bit better to me at not attracting as much road grime.Kim

I used this on pocket knives to ease opening. It helps without attracting dirt and dust into the joint like oil does, though it is not a miracle lubricant. I have not tried it on bicycles yet.

As someone who bikes to and from school every day, it's important that my bike, well, works. That said I know very little about bikes but when my chain started getting noisy I suspected it needed an oil change. I admit that I did not go through a through process, using a paper towel and some love to clean the chain before applying this oil. I was careful to get every joint of the chair and after a few rotations of the pedal to get full coverage (and a few drops on the gear for good measure) my chain was whisper quiet again. I would have maybe liked a cleaner + lube combo but didn't think to buy that. My bike got a little wet from sudden rain and the chain has since started to make a little noise again, but not as much as before, and this is a few months of about 5 miles biking every week day, never being kept inside (though under a tarp if weather is poor) so that may just be my lack of care.Long story short, easy to use little bottle. Gets the job done without much mess.

I gave this a try to see if it would help with my skin irritation from shaving. I really didn't see any benefits from it at all. I guess it's better than nothing, but not really what I was hoping for. It's just okay. I won't purchase again.

There are so many good shaving products out now and Jack Black is usually good. I think they're average on this one. The pump is a great feature but the lube is just "ok".

Though it's likely I've run the entire course of shaving preparations, gizmos, and gadgets, I'm always up for a better shave.So I bought this stuff. It works well enough, though I do notice, when I use it, the presence of some nasties, those unpronounceable words in the ingredient list, as well as some booze (alcohol), to all of which I am rather sensitive.So, without further ado, let me to those of greater sensitivity recommend "Shave Deluxe", a simple shave solution of natural oils packaged in a most unpretentious little plastic bottle. You use 5 drops mixed with the water in the palm of your hand. You can buy it online at their website, and I've seen it at Whole Foods. It's very nice to use, leaves the skin feeling well-protected, soft, and well cared for after shaving, and seems to have none of the nasties.Sensitivities vary, and for a lot of men, Jack Black will work just fine--it's better than most of the familiar stuff. But it's not Shave Deluxe.

For what ever reason the can lost its pressure or, the valve is defective. Now i have to figure out a way to get the lubricant out every time i need it. Finish Line is a great brand. My can is defective.

penetrates well and probably lubricates well, but the applicator wastes far too much of the product. Tipping the bottle up to dispense the lubricant results in a stream, not drops, and that gets to be expensive.

Wanted to try this to see if it worked well. Seemed ok, but after cleaning the chain it took a lot of product to coat it, and doesn't appear to have near the longevity of a wet lube.

Lube worked great so far, but the bottle cap broke when removing it the first time. Seems to be very cheaply made, so I can't use the rest of it, had to throw it out.

I guess it gets the job done, but only 3 stars from me.Before this I've been using the wet version from Finish Line and the liquid is a bit on the thick side.This one is pretty light and makes it a little more difficult to apply it on the chain.Also, if you start pedaling right after applying, the chain makes a squeaky noise. It goes away eventually, I presume after the oil has the change to solidify.All in all, gets the job done.

I have no problem with Jack Black Beard Lube - it is my favorite. The product I received was old and expired. I didn't realize this until it was too late to return. Thankfully, the manufacturer – Jack Black, sent me a replacement. In the future, I will order products with limited shelf life from a retail store.

Great product, but good luck getting out of the bottle.... the pump dispenser leaves much too much behind in the bottle, the last 2-3 ounces won't pump out. My next bottle had a pump that did not work at all!

Does not look like the real thing

This was in my second order of this product. The first one I received with no problem. This one for some reason they shipped with other products, some pretty large (AB Carver). Because of this I received a plastic wrap filled with shaving cream, $33 worth of shaving cream in a plastic wrap. Not happy one bit. I don't know if I should be angry with Amazon or the manufacture. I guess it doesn't matter since they have my money. I am going to assume this is on Amazon since the products in the box were from different companies. I have been shopping at Amazon for years, but maybe it is time for a change...

This stuff not to mention being ridiculously over priced but doesn't really work all that well. For me anyway the menthol and peppermint dried out my skin making shaving that much more difficult. Try dr.bronners in the baby or lavender if you're sensitive to these ingredients. Better value more organic and cheaper.

I use the product for cleaning and lubing my chain. I understand that its principle ingredient is heptane,plus the substance known as Teflon, in powder form. I suspect that any other brand with similar ingredients would act the same way. the main reason I use Finish Line is that its product is available in quart and gallon containers at a fraction of the price of the tiny bottles sold in bike shops. It also doesn't hurt that it is manufactured, according to my internet information sources, in Long Island NY so I have the satisfaction of supporting a local company.

I applied this to a new freshly cleaned chain a few days ago. It ran fine and was nice and clean after 10 miles riding on a dirt trail. Last night it rained and as you can see there's an insane amount of rust on my new chain! Not recommended unless you never find yourself biking around water.

The lube is great but the aerosol nozzle broke or became worn so that after a couple uses I can't get it to spray. The bottom of the nozzle hits the can before it pushes the hollow pin far enough in to get flow. Had to cannibalize a nozzle off another aerosol can but the straw won't fit so lube sprays all over.

formula is good but bottle is defective...worked great for two uses then stopped squirting with the bottle over half full ... spray mechanism should not break like it did with regular/light use ... maybe i just got a dud

Didn't work for me. Left chain gunky and attracted black grime. Was worse than when I had no lube on it. Very disappointed.

Its ok but still collects a lot of dirt. I don't think I will buy it again. I mixed it with some rocknroll gold because I was getting noise from my drivetrain and that made it quieter.

this is a confusing product. It does work on the face, helps the beard, but it is the worst product I've ever used as far as clogging the razor. It's horrible. regular soap works better. Overall, I hate it.

I received this today without the top. Not in the box at all. Whoever put this in the box at the warehouse must have seen their was no top, very obvious, it is white because the top isn't there. Also no packing slip. At Christmas time this isn't good.

Wasn't what I expected. After use not very thrilled. Would not purchase again for my personal use, just don't feel it does anything to enhance shaving. quality, in fact it less satisfying then the gel foam I normally use.

This product advertises itself to be three things and does each not very well. If you want a great shaving cream, get Jack Black's shaving cream in the jar. It's expensive, ​but it's the best shaving cream I have ever used in over 60 years of shaving.

The lid wasn't screwed on tight, and most of the liquid had already leaked out when the package arrived...

Cap gets clogged during every use or after every use. This dry lube is great when it is in the dropper bottle, however it is useless in this spray bottle. I would not recommend this product at all.

not the same quality as the same product I buy in the local bike store. seems to be more watered down and not the lubricant I was expecting for the bike chain. Shaking up the bottle for possible settling didn't change the result.

Used once,on second use can would not spray out had to throw it away very expensive one time use. Not very happy, future purchasers take notice.

STAY AWAY. bought two cans. Both cans lost the ability to spray within 3 uses. Leaving 80% of the lube in the can un-usable. I love finish line product, the spray is useless.

I bought this in January and used it about 4 or 5 times, so it is still 3/4 full. Well, it no longer sprays.. seems as the propellent is gone. I emailed the manufacturer about a week ago and not a single response. Time to find another manufacturer for the these type of products I use. Will not buy again.
