Side by Side Comparison of: Panacea

Very happy with my new fireplace tools. The color is a little lighter than I though, but still coordinates well enough with my black fireplace screen. Being summer, no fires so we haven't used anything yet. The bristles on the brush are best to one side, but I imagine they will straighten out over time. I am very impressed with the quality, and since each tool is one solid piece, I expect them to last a long time. I think these were a great value for the price, especially compared to others I saw while shopping around.

Exactly what I needed. Great color and the slim profile doesn't destract from the fireplace/mantle. Matches the "Pleasant Hearth ED-5411 Edinburg Glass Firescreen, Gunmetal, Medium" perfectly!!! If you purchase that fireplace you need these matching tools. The base is slightly flimsy, but irrelevant once put together.

Great set for a great price! Although, I was expecting the color to be more silver, it turned out to be closer to slate gray, which is actually better looking than I expected. Love it!

For the price you can't beat this. Very rustic and small enough to fit into tight places. We have a wood stove that we use to heat our home in the coldest part of the season only using our natural gas heater as a supplement so we use the stove quite a bit. This was great because it fit well into the space we had around the stove and the parts are all very functional.

Really nice product. Good quality, nice color, and sturdy. Of all that I looked at I made my decision based on price and reviews and I don't think there is one out there that is this nice at anywhere near this price. I highly recommend it. Hubby was very happy to get this for Father's day. Small issue in that the hardware wasn't in it but when I contacted the company they replied very quickly and got what I needed in 4 days. So, great quality product and great customer service.

I moved to Colorado during the winter and have an amazing fireplace with wood waiting to be used but no tools to properly make & keep a fire. The movers had put piles of boxes in & around the fireplace so I thought by the time I finished unpacking, fireplace weather would be over. I realized soon enough I better order some tools. These arrived really quick & were relatively easy to put together. One of screws on the base was bent making it impossible to attach them until I took a pair of pliers to get it straight... No hubby needed. He was pleasantly surprised by how nice they look as well.

Great quality set with everything you need, would recommend so far.

great set in terms of saving space and the tools look good and appear durable. the lack of 5th star is for the broom as it is very small. it's OK but it isn't "the best" in regards to that one piece

Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I chose then because I wanted something other than the traditional shiny brass sets you see in most homes. The color is an accent to the silver tacks in our couch and a contrast to the beige and creams of our walls and ceilings. They seem to be well made per my husband. I will say upon arrival the stand was slightly bent and required my husband straightening it out before he could put the screw in the bottom. Thus the 4 stars. Would I recommend it? Sure. If you are looking for something different and functional then I would get this set.

Assembled quickly with just 2 nuts. The tools have a nice heft to them and are good looking and function well.

The set has a nice finish that does look reminiscent of raw iron. The items are substantial and the log tongs are more functional because of the two prongs opposing a single one. The only item I wished was different was the base, it is a stamped steel rectangle that has little inherent weight. As the tools are pretty substantial in heft, the tool set is a bit prone to teetering. Other than that, my first impressions on function and style are positive.

So pretty and functional. The tag clearly states the coating on the product can cause cancer (from a California study). Weird but we just make sure we wash our hands after using.

Nice and cheap. Log grabbing tool however falls open when resting on hook. Not bad, just a little annoying.

The bristles on the broom tend to come out. The rest of the pieces worked fine.

Returned as after a few weeks on of them broke!

Pure garbage.

They advertised this as a sturdy tool set. I only lightly used the shovel a few times and it broke where it is welded to the handle. Now I am stuck with a fireplace shovel that is not useable.
