Five Star Reviews: | 59% Great for the price and practicing. February 13, 2017 This is what I was looking for. It simulates a vintage tube overdrive pretty well. For any better than that I would spend way more money for an Ibanez Tube Screamer, but that's at least 4x more expensive starting with the mini version.I play at home, mostly, so the plastic is great enough for my needs without feeling it might break. Even in gigs, it seems it won't break unless you really don't care.The main switch could have some better click feedback, but that's a ok if you use your feet - not your hands. The price is still good advantage to avoid this losing a star. This is another awesome sonic value from Behringer..... for only $20? wow! May 28, 2016 This is another awesome sonic value from Behringer..... for only $20? ... wow, this really is a steal. The tube overdrive factor on this puppy is very believable and useful although it may not sound quite as creamy rich as the old Ibanez TO800, it sure does save you some serious cash since the T0800 will cost you an arm and a leg too. This deal for only $20 is like a top secret kinda piece of gear. just don't tell anyone what it cost, and you will get a lot of compliments on this pedal. Its amazing that they can pump out replica quality like this for so little money. not sure how they can do this. Its simply amazing and pure pleasure to use this crazy pedal and it does simulate a nice sounding tube overdrive, just like it says it will. For the price, I see nothing wrong with this pedal. It is legimately CLOSE to a Tube Screamer. April 1, 2016 These are currently $19 shipped with Amazon Prime! Wow. With that said, if you're looking to try your first overdrive or get a taste of the real Tube Screamer -- do NOT be scared of the price. A side by side comparision of this pedal versuses the real Tube Screamer is legimately close. My Behringer has more highs, and the Tube Screamer is a little less noisy/more bassy. Other than that, they nearly sound and function exactly the same. For the difference in price, how could you not opt for this? If you really enjoy what this does, drop the extra dough on the real deal.. But remember, not a HUGE different between the two. A little EQ/light noise gate would bring this right up with the Tube Screamer.The biggest complaints on these seem to be the plastic enclosures. Before getting my first Behringer for free, I honestly had written these pedals off for that reason alone. After using it for awhile (first using my hand to switch on and off) I began to stomp on it normally, and have come to the conclusion -- unless you're being destructive, these will PROBABLY hold up. If not, you can still buy another without coming close to the price of a real Tube Screamer. The battery comparent is a little tricky, but if you've ever owned a Digitech or any effects pedal, really, I'm sure one could figure this out relatively easily.Can be used to make a clean tone more "tubey" or overdrive an already dirty channel to boost mids, add more sustain and really bring fourth harmonics. I usually only use it for the second purpose, but for a clean tone, it does really well, too. Surprised in the best way January 15, 2016 I ordered this and a few other Behringer pedals with a fair amount of trepidation. I had read how "cheap" these are, and people were skewering it, I think, based on the cost factor alone. It's housed in a dense plastic, and it's very strong. That being said, I have fashioned a waist high platform to put pedals on as I have lower back issues. Bending down to adjust pedals can be a major problem. I don't use my feet to activate pedals, so I'm not worried about how strong the housing is.Now, for the tone. It's great. It does what a tubescreamer is supposed to do. I love tubesreamers as much as the next guy, but I've always felt they tend to be a bit on the dark side. This pedal's tone knob, in my opinion, does a much better job of brightening the tone than a much more expensive tubescreamer. The overdrive is much smoother than an OD pedal that's twice, nay, three times as expensive. It also can serve as an outstanding clean boost. Some people have said it's only good for people just getting into effects, but I call shenanigans. It's great for any level. Great Pedal for Small budgets! December 28, 2015 I needed a overdrive pedal, and I didn't want to spend a lot in an overdrive pedal that usually use maybe 1 or twice a month. So, I've decided for this one because I have other Behringer pedals, and even a Mixer.It's very simple to use, it has three knobs and after tweaking a little bit with them I found a great sound with my Telecaster, it can be really mellow or really kind of crunch.It's made of plastic, not like the Boss that are metal, but even though it's very hard, I mean you would have to really throw it over or crash it to break it.I use it with my One Spot snake where I have another pedals connected (Boss distortion, Zoom Looper, Behringer Fx) and there is no white noise, well I also use a Noise Reducer also by Behringer, and they all work really well together.So with people with small budget or just don't want to spend much in a Boss pedal, this is a very nice option! Satisfaction! July 20, 2015 Arrived very quickly in good packaging.I compared it side-by-side with my friend's Tube Screamer. The sound was virtually identical. I have found Behringer's plastic housings to be plenty durable as well. You have to use a screwdriver to put in the battery but I use A/C power supplies. Very pleased with the purchase. Get one. | 49% Great Compressor! September 9, 2017 I used this on a country gig last night for the first time! I set the all knobs to 1 O'clock lol and hoped for the best. It sounded great! I just put it in front of a light overdrive and they worked well together. Gives smooth sustain for faking the pedal steel guitar lines. Strong plastic housing too! So, remember kids, please do not literally stomp on your stomp boxes lol...that will wear the switch out, even on a boutique pedal. Highly recommended!!!! It is not a "coloring" compressor like a dynacomp April 20, 2017 It's a $25 compressor from a company with a not-so-great reputation for quality. I have to say, it does what it is supposed to do so I give it five stars. It is all plastic and feels very cheap, but if you bought a $25 dollar pedal and expected more, you had the wrong expectations.It does not introduce any hum, noise, or distortion. It is not a "coloring" compressor like a dynacomp. The output pretty much sounds the same as the input, but with reduced dynamic range. Great pedal for the money April 11, 2017 Great pedal for the money. Very good controls, you can really hear the difference with slight adjustments. I put this as the first pedal in my board and I can really find a lot of uses. Excellent pedal for the money December 22, 2016 I have had great results with the Behringer CS400 from the moment I started using it. The controls are easy to use, and each one helps you easily select the proper setting for the best sound. The electronics are clean and noise-free, and have enhanced the tones I generate from my basses. There are a few tweaks that i will need to nail down, as I have basses with both passive and active pickups.I was concerned at first about the ABS plastic body, but I have found the construction to be more than sturdy enough. If you plan on stomping on it with some 20-pound Gene Simmons dragon boots...your results may vary.I would also like to address the concerns I read in other reviews regarding the battery access beneath the pedal. It could not be easier to install the battery by pressing the spring-loaded clips on either side of the pedal. A ball point pen or even a paper clip will provide enough leverage to remove the pedal cover. If it takes you longer than 30 seconds to replace the battery, you have my deepest sympathy. This thing is great. December 12, 2016 I'm not super knowledgeable about compressors, I will admit. For a first time compressor purchase I'm not disapointed. I actually took my EQ pedal off the board because this thing just dose such a good job. My set up is quite bright and this lets me bring down a good sum of that brightness and it's just great addition to the board. smooth operator - tames the treble - holds the music til you catch up July 30, 2014 hated this when i plugged it in the first time. Battery replacement isn't intutive. After tweaking the settings and using it with different guitars I began to get the hang of it. The sustain is very nice which surprised me as that wasn't why I bought it. It gives just enough extra hold time on the notes to allow you to slow your playing just a smidge so you can nail the notes and think about where you want to go next.The compressor section can tame the harsh and make listening much nicer. I find it great for recording practice to play along with later. for not much money it is a great tool.Battery goes under the footswitch - press an ink pen or a small screw driver into the black pins on either side and wiggle it off. | 72% Reasonably Good For What I Needed April 15, 2017 These work perfect for me. They fit easily in to my 1/4 inputs, unlike others have mentioned. These probably would not do if you need your pedals real close together. But in my case I built my own pedal board, and I like the distance between the pedals. These cables also controlled some of the noise I was getting from my other cables. I generally am not finicky about these type products. I just know real expensive cables don't make a whole lot of difference to me. But I have come across some horrible cheap ones. September 11, 2017 My amp has special effects built-in however they become totally useless when you have to keep switching between sound affects during a jam session that's where stompbox come in. I absolutely love mine it makes playing that much more fun and much easier. A worthy pedal addition February 26, 2016 This is my first experience with a chorus pedal, I purchased it for my bass. I did not know what to expect, and I can say that the sound it produces is... strange. I can only describe it as taking the frequency from a note, dividing that note into component parts, then expressing those individual component parts in a way that you hear them all at once but individually. Indeed, a chorus. Of course you can dial it in to a great variety for the effect. Sometimes just a minuscule addition makes the difference in the sound you are after, or did not know you were after. Otherwise cranking it all the way up can find it's place too. There is no distortion or static whatsoever. This thing is as clear as a bell. If you are into pedals and don't have a chorus, this is something to buy. If you do purchase this and upon testing it out wonder how on earth this could ever fit into your music, trust me when I say it will find its way in. I am very happy with it. Great value. August 19, 2015 Love this pedal. It caused me to go back and jam out to a bunch of old Pat Travers and Rick Derringer songs. It's a great bargain for the price and performs well and is not to noisey. October 8, 2017 The sound of this pedal is quite nice, with good control of the overdrive sound and volume. Definitely worth the low price. The main drawback is the plastic construction (although that's not surprising, at such a low price point.) I use this pedal every week on stage, and to avoid the possibility of breaking the foot pedal's hinge (a plastic rod), I actually replaced it with a metal rod.The internal push-button (which activates the unit when you step on the pedal), is a typical tiny circuit-board button switch. Sad to report that it started working intermittently after a couple of months. Part of the problem is that the external pivoting plastic foot-switch presses on the internal contact button by way of a precise(?)-length piece of hard rubber. The pressure that it exerts may be more or less than what is needed to activate the push-button, due to manufacturing tolerances. So I replaced that button switch with an actual levered microswitch, and have had no problems for at least six months of constant use.If you intend to play with this pedal at home (in a non-stage environment), it will probably last quite a long time. Otherwise, be prepared to make some modifications, to 'beef it up.' Can't be beat for the price. September 12, 2017 I was very nervous at first, it's very cheaply made. Hard plastic that basically all just snaps together. There is no power button, the pedal comes on as soon as you plug a lead into the input. Thats probably my biggest complaint about the whole thing. None of us were expecting to get a real tubescreamer sound out of this, but its honestly not a bad drive pedal. There is a slight problem in that adjusting the tone and drive doesn't quite have the effect you would hope, basically go from some old school Chicago blues drive to some 90's southern rock vibes. So not that big of a difference. But all in all, you cannot find a better drive pedal for anywhere near this price. Powers on automatically when dc power is restored. August 18, 2017 Sounds great. I use this by it self or with a fuzzface.Only drawback for me but maybe a positive for you is when you restore dc power to it, it will come on automatically.I don't know if it's broken, or if it's supposed to do that, (none of my other pedals do) . Give this serious thought before you buy the OTHER famous green tube overdrive pedal July 18, 2017 I have to knock off one star just because of the cheap construction. But at the price point, you have to expect that. This pedal is not going to stand up to a lot of abuse while gigging. However, if you're looking for a great sounding pedal for jamming in your bedroom or some *mild* gigging, this thing is great. If you play a Strat it has a thick SRV type tone. If you play a LP it has a great MXR D+ for a great Randy Rhoads tone. I really love this pedal more than I thought I would. I truly like the tone March 15, 2017 I truly like the tone. As a musician in a working band, the reality is I am always looking to try new and different things to augment my collection and hopefully figure out the ever illusive tone for different songs we play. Nothing worse than using the same distortion for every song because well, that makes every song sound alike and that ain't cool. Players know this all too well! I read some of the reviews before pulling the trigger on it myself but honestly for the price advertised I figured what the heck? Even if it turns out to be a chunk o' plastic better suited for the round file, I wasn't going to be out much. MAN was I surprised. This thing produces excellent tone in the range of "Classic Rock" and Pop and etc. so if you're looking for a Metal tone - this ain't it! But, if you are looking to key in on similar tones to that of what you'd hear from classic rock and roll then you can't go wrong for the price. All by itself with a clean channel on the amp, it sounds great. Add in a little reverb and slight echo and viola! you can tone your way through some great sounding classic rock vibes no problem. The battery has lasted a good bit too (haven't sprung for the AC adapter just yet) and the "build quality" isn't bad - it's a heavy thick molded plastic feel, not made of metal, but there again -- the price. Yeah, wow factor is pretty good on this one for sure. Depending on who you ask I'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10 on the ol' rock tone scale. Could you do better, absolutely but not at this price. Just received it yesterday. | 28% Pairs Nicely with a Blues Junior May 24, 2017 This is the only compressor I've ever played through. I expected it to smooth out some of my pick attack. Compressors should boost the quiet playing and even out the harder playing so that each note rings at about the same volume. This pedal does exactly that.The reason I'm writing the review is that when I first got the pedal, I was playing through a Peavey Vypyr 1 amp, then through a Fender Rumble amp, and finally through a Fender Blues Junior III amp. With the first two amps, all I got was a lot of noise, hiss, and horrible feedback from this pedal. I almost threw the pedal away because it was too late to send back. Fast forward 6 months, and now with my Blues Junior I thought I would try it out again. The pedal makes no extraneous noises--it's quiet--there is no feedback, and it accomplishes exactly what a compressor should. I am now very happy with this pedal. Buyer beware that it may not play nicely with the amp you have. The only reason I gave the pedal 4 stars out of 5 is because I have not tried any other compressors and wouldn't know how it compares.(Side note: I have the settings for Level at 1:00, Tone at 1:00, Attack at 10:00, Sustain at 1:00.) plastic feels like its not gonna last forever but its December 24, 2016 goo pedal,, plastic feels like its not gonna last forever but its ok Kinda works like a CS2 November 28, 2016 Definitely a bargain basement version of a CS2...not too noisey or squishy until you really crank the level and tone. Fairly transparent. For $25 bucks you really can't go wrong. Fine for using at home. I would question it's durability over an extended amount of time. Good pedal for a great price. December 19, 2015 I am pleasantly surprised at how nice this pedal sounds. If you've used a compressor before then you know how much they can add to your sound and how much more sustain you can get. If you haven't used one then you'll love it. This particular pedal is rather cheaply made (like most behringer products) which is why it's only 25 bucks. The sound and function of this pedal is a very faithful reproduction of the boss pedal that it's copying but the build quality isn't the same. With a low gain setting there is virtually no hum but the noise goes up as the gain does. This is common result and not exclusive to this pedal. If you're gigging on a regular basis then you'll want to get a more sturdy pedal. If you're just playing at home then this thing should last for years. Either way, it's a good product for a great price. If you're expecting more than this for $25 you have unrealistic expectations and probably won't be happy with anything. Can't be beat for the price. August 25, 2015 This compressor works, and it works better than you'd think a $25 pedal would. I use it to smooth out the dynamics when playing rythm/chords on a strat. It also mellows your leads a bit. They key to getting the most out of it is to start out with all the controls at 12 'oclock, then make small changes. For me, I started by gradually reducing the attack (counter-clockwise) and then slowly raising the compression. When I got the setting that worked for my I left it there. I'll also add that while it is plastic, it seems to hold up just fine. I use it for playing with our church praise and worship band and it does the job. Just Like "Brand X" At A Much Better Price April 2, 2011 Years ago I owned the Boss version of this pedal. I was happy to find that Behinger's version is virtually identical in sound and operation to the Boss unit. The most important thing is that it's quiet and transparent when not in use. There's only two minor issues that keep it from getting 5 stars. One, the unit is made of plastic. It seems sturdy enough, but it's not metal. Secondly, the power input is on the side next to the input jack. Reaching the power input with your daisy chain power supply could be a little bit more of a stretch than if the input was on the top of the unit, like most pedals. Not a big deal, though. June 9, 2015 I like the Planet Waves line of cables, a quality product with larger than average connector bodies. The beefy connector is easy to grab and is great for my guitar cables, but..... they don't work well with my pedal board, which has cut-outs in the foam that determine the spacing between the pedals The PW jumpers won't work if the input of one pedal lines up with the output of the pedal next to it, the cable ends are just too bulky for that. I had to use the (lesser quality, but smaller) jumpers that came with the board (a Behringer). They should work great on pedal boards that let you determine the spacing between pedals. Excellent cable, right angle connectors are just a little big March 31, 2014 These cables are quiet and work great but the connector plugs are very large and take up too much space on a tight board.On the pro side these cables are 6" from plug to plug not jack to jack so they're LONGER than some other 6" cables. Bang for your buck June 7, 2011 I bought a bunch of these when I started building my pedal board.They're very inexpensive, but seemingly quite high quality.Tons of bang for your buck.Seemingly no tone loss, no added noise, and no coloration.The right angle ends are a little big and bulky, they may not do so well on a tight and jam packed board.But for average boards they work great!I gig and record with these. Three Star Reviews: | 7% Great tone, provides a serious boost to lead volumes ... July 27, 2017 Great tone, provides a serious boost to lead volumes and you can dial in just the right edge and gain. On par with the classic Ibanez tube screamer. My 2 concerns are 1) durability and 2) it's somewhat inconvenient to get to the battery compartment. Overall though I was impressed with its tonal/ boost function. It's okay July 15, 2017 Doesn't provide as much as a kick I had hoped for when amp is in overdrive but there's a noticeable difference when in clean. Still not the biggest punch but fine for the price. I'll say that it is pretty solid for an inexpensive pedal January 7, 2017 The distortion is not 'clean'. I know it's distortion so by definition not clean. Still, Some of the more costly distortion pedals have pleasant 'warm' distortion. This unit is 'harsh'.The quality of the physical unit reflects its low price. At low tone level and low drive it's ok to add some bite to the clean sound when needed but when the settings are on high for rock....well the pedal becomes veryyyy noisy and I can't stand that God awful HUMMMMM. Not saying it doesn't produce a nice over driven sound cuz it does....i just gave it 3 stars cuz of the humming. Priced right May 14, 2014 The pedal works as described. The draw back is the battery installation. You have to take the pedal off to access the battery. The other thing is if you forget to unplug the input cord from your guitar the battery drains when not in use. I purchased a power supply to go along with it. The problem with that is the power supply is one more thing to find a plug in for. It's ok for the money and works good. I run it wide open and have the amp gain pretty high also to get the retro sound I am looking for. I mainly use it with a large body "F" hole guitar with a set of very heavy flat wound strings. They slip out easily from a few of my pedals. I recommend the low-profile right angle cables. They stick out quite a bit, so there becomes less room on your board for pedals. They're also not nearly as good as the George L's are for tone, but you get what you pay for. Would Greatly Benefit Tight Pedalboards by Being Smaller, but Otherwise Perfectly Fine November 18, 2015 These cables work and seem well built, but after spending some time with them I find that the large heads often get in the way on my rather cramped pedalboard. If pedalboard space is a concern for you, you may want to look at the Hosa patch cables or other more low-profile options. If you've got plenty of room to spare, or it just isn't a concern, these are fine audio cables and reasonably priced. Good quality but too Bulky March 16, 2015 These were a good price for 3 cables, and they do seem good quality. The 3 star rating is due to how unnecessarily BULKY the 90 degree plug is. Its impossible to get my pedals snug against one another and tuck the patch cables between due to. I have ended up only using ONE of the three, and trimmed some of the rubber off the end of one so it can bend better, so it can make a tight right angle out from my volume pedal. I don't reccomend this though, as it is obvious I weakened it. Other than that , the construction seems solid for being a plastic pedal and it's a little hard getting the battery case opened, but I plug it in anyway. Okay for occasional use, good price March 14, 2016 I bought this chorus pedal because it was inexpensive. The chorus effects are okay on this unit. To my ear it has a tendency to sound more synthesized/digital than I like, and hopefully in time I can dial in a better sound with it. It works perfectly well for what I need though, which is playing at my church once a month, but if I were more serious than that I would probably spring for a different chorus pedal. That being said, for ~$20 it's not a bad deal for a guy like me. This guy was really cheap and actually the "chorus" part is weak...as comparedwith other chorus' I have such as (ART,ZOOM,PEAVEY,LINE-6,Gibson) Or we could say in a more positive phrase"very subtle" . The "stereo" effect for me was non-existant BUT realize I bought this item over buying a normalABY switch. Doing so saved me a bundle but in the long run I will pay for it. There is a high cycle hum in the background(which almost ALL chorus units end up having). But I can say it did the job as far as splitting a signal into 2 amplifierheads and doesnt seem to have a problem with the signal being delivered. *note* if you plan on using a 9volt dc adapteryou have laying around in yer gear/scrap bucket think again----wont work ...I tried 4 different 9volt dc adapters to no avail. all that said I still gota give the item its due. Negatives: the unit is made out of plastic and you will have to take it easy when engaging on/off. I had to take mine apart becausethe "chorus" wouldnt trigger "on" . Not great, not so much tube February 19, 2016 This was an accidental purchase, but I wanted to see what $20 got me.Pro's: reasonable overdrive sound. Not great, not so much tube, but you wouldn't expect that for the price.Con's:Sound - the tone knob is way too sensitive, you go from mud to harsh with a slight touch. The other knobs (level and drive) are obvious, but get very harsh as you go to max.Construction: this is critical for active players; this has a plastic body and plastic foot pedal. The battery is housed under the foot pedal. You remove the foot pedal by depressing the hinge mounts with a pen to release the foot pedal. Then you connect the battery and insert it. Then put it back together. NOT good for a stage musician if the battery dies. Also, the switch is a micro-switch attached to the PC board at the bottom of the box. It is pressed down or activated by a rubberized plastic arm attached to the foot pedal. I have to believe that this arrangement will result in either a broken activator arm, or a broken switch, or a cracked PC board.This pedal is not designed for the working player. It is also made in China. Maybe Behringer designed the unit, but they designed it to be cheap and that is what it is. Not even close February 13, 2016 VERY disappointed in very low gain and poor tone. Not even close to approximating a Tube Screamer. Like all Behringer pedals, it's annoying that input cables must be pulled to save batteries. You get what you pay for: A classic lesson of universal truth. January 2, 2016 You need a 9v power supply (sold separately) but it takes a 9v battery. Guess what I didn't have? You basically take the entire thing apart (there are NO directions) to replace the battery. Nonetheless not hard to figure out, just impossible0 in execution. You must compress a spring from two sides holding the "pedal" to the top. If you manage it, prepare for one or more flying springs or parts when you remove the top. Did I say wear eye protection? Moving on... Now you can see the engineering genius. See the tiny chintzy switch on which the blob of rubber comes down to switch it.... maybe.... and you go "WTF?? Who thought this was a good idea?" You'll realize you only have about a 50-50 chance of it going back together as "designed." Based on the customer feedback, seems like the only issue here is the plastic casing but the overall sound is compared to Boss CS3. Anyway, my husband was so excited to try this. He was expecting that his bass sound will be more clearer and will sustain the sound longer. BUT when we tried, the sound is awful. Sounded mute. Tried a lot of combinations on the mix but no success. I am thinking to give 1 star but since the price is very good, Iam giving 2 stars instead. I think the only excuse to have a cheaper pedal is the material but at least the sound should be good. Have to improvise February 27, 2016 Sounds ok, noisy when you turn it up, but the foot switch stopped working on the second use. I can still turn it on by removing the foot switch and jabbing at the actuator inside the pedal with a loose cable but it's a pain in the ass. I leave it on anyways. However, after plugging it in to my pedals, one shorted out and refused to work. I tried another one, and it worked fine. I re-tested the first cable, it still didn't work. The third one doesn't even pick up the signal entirely, so I get a weak sound through my amplifier. Like I said, it's worth the bargain price, but you might as well pay a few extra bucks to get a single, top quality cord. April 17, 2017 This thing is a total disappointment. First, the bypass never did work. On or off, that's your choice. If you want clear tone, unplug it and reroute your cords. Champion, that. So much fun. Next, there was a deafening 60-cycle line buzz. Noise came only from the pedal, as I checked everything else and only got buzz with this item in circuit. What a piece of junk. I was fooled by the many favorable reviews. Moral to the story? Spend a little more and buy a good pedal. Quit working after 30 minutes February 5, 2017 When it arrived I realized it had no battery or 9v adapter. And of course none of mine around the house would work with it. So I ordered the adapter and when it arrived it worked about 30 minutes and started getting quieter and quieter until it quit working. With so little money involved it's not worth the hassle of returning this stuff. You get what you pay for; don't invest in this item. No Good March 23, 2017 Cheap, get what you pay for with this pedal.The design isn't well thought out. To put the battery in you need to push in two tiny black tabs and pull the lid off. Then, squeeze them back in and snap it back into place. I use wire cutters to push the pins in.The wire that comes from the battery pad is then subject to being snapped in half between the spring that's loosely balancing on the inside....I finally ruined my pedal today by slicing the wire in half with that spring inside. The second night while using them they all one by one started malfunctioning. They would cut on and off and produce unpleasant sounds. I replaced the batteries thinking although the batteries should last longer than two days perhaps that was the issue (which it was not). I realized I got what I paid for, cheap poor quality pedals. I almost gave these products 2 starts b/c while they were working they sounded fantastic, how ever there is no point in guitar pedals that can't maintain working order after such short time. I didn't handle these pedals roughly nor expose them to any harsh environments that could warrant defective behavior. Simply had them on my carpet floor in front of my amp. These pedals were practically undistinguishable in sound from the higher end pedals they are based on and it was truly a tease to have thought I found a cheaper alternative to them. Also they do not handle any sort of gain, and the shielding is terrible. Any touch or tap of the cord is amplified by the pedals in the chain and heard through the amp. Tips don't clip into standard 1/4" plugs December 27, 2015 A number of other reviews state that these cables keep popping out of pedals. The reason is that these plugs are not sized right for standard 1/4" mono plugs to the point where the contact does not clip into the tip properly. (See the attached photos. Black cable is Planet Waves, while the other is your average 1/4" patch cable jack.) The molding around the plugs prevents them from pushing in far enough to clip properly. While a cable tester registers these as contacting properly, I don't like the idea of them not clipping into the tip and eventually pushing back the contact to the point where the jack needs to be replaced. They will also pop out just like other users have experienced. Therefore I won't be using these. It's too late to return them so unfortunately I've wasted my money. Hopefully you read this and don't make the same mistake. These cables are terrible for a pedal board October 6, 2015 These cables are terrible for a pedal board. The ends on them are absolutely huge. I couldn't fit my pedals anywhere near each other if I used these. I dumped these and switched to the Hosa Cables (flat heads), which are awesome. I ended up with the Boss, as this distortion is just unacceptable on clean acoustic or electric guitar. Too bad, because I've had good results with other Behringer equipment. Absolute Crap May 19, 2014 I ordered this on a whim because of the price, and I didn't really need it for performing so quality wasn't that big of an issue, but the pedal DID NOT WORK AT ALL... it merely created a buzzing sound over whatever you played through it. I sent it back to Amazon thinking it was defective, but the second one they sent me didn't work either. I do not recommend wasting time and/or shipping costs to even try this product. STAY AWAY...
