They aren't crazy comfortable with pillow bottoms or anything but I throw these on and I forget I have them on.For reference, I have a E width foot (that's just one size wider than normal shoes) and these don't give me pain on the outter edges of my foot. If i were wearing white socks with the black shoe, you could see the white sock since the tongue doesn't completely cover the top of the foot. Comfortable and supportiveJanuary 15, 2015 I like these shoes. They are very comfortable. Their only drawback is that they have an odd insole that is rounded. When you put the shoes on it makes it feel as though your foot would like to slide off to one side of the shoe or the other. I'm assuming this will flatten with wear. I didn't notice it though, during racquetball play. The shoe held my feet in place and gave good support. Though for the price you pay for these shoes it is not very realistic to expect the quality of a top of the line shoes. Speaking of price I had to pay a hefty duty on them which made the price very close to the top of the line Asics I could have bought from a local volleyball store. Lack lateral supportNovember 12, 2014 If you play a sport that requires frequent and hard lateral cuts, I would look to move up to the ASICS Gel Rocket 6 or 7 series. I previously used the Gel Rocket 6. Although these are a bit lighter, the tradeoff is they definitely do not have as much lateral support as the Gel Rocket 6. Compare the construction of the shoes just above the sole on the sides and you will see the obvious difference. The Gel Rocket series not only uses more material, the material is more substantial in weight. | | | | |

The tongue did not seem wide enough to cover the space below the laces. Weird since I had bought similar ASICS volleyball before. Wouldn't rely on the supportDecember 3, 2016 I purchased these pair of shoes for in-door sport training and the support is poor on the sides and there is a possibility of ankle twists with sudden turns and quick sprint actions as these does not provide high support around the ball of the foot. | They fit too bigJanuary 11, 2017 I generally use size 11 or 12 in Adidas and Nike. I even measured my feet and followed the scale in the size chart but it is impossible to use my new Asics size 12.
