My two female boxers really enjoy this food and are doing great with it. Our pups previously ate this formula. However, after some bad press we heard about this brand, we switched them to Taste of the Wild. Unfortunately, our one pup was allergic to their formula, so we had to make a switch again at the advice of our vet. She said to give Blue Buffalo another shot, so we did. We're very happy with the results we're seeing. Our pups are maintaining a healthy weight and have lots of energy!

This is a great dog food. I feed it to my 3 Shih Tzu's and they seem to like it and thrive on it. I have never given them any other kind of dog food and they are completely health little doggies. I actually think I got this at a great price plus I didn't have to drive 8 miles to walk a mile to get it, then put it in my car and drive another 8 miles home, then carry it all the way up to the house. It came to my front door like magic! Thanks Amazon!

When we first got our dog, this was the food recommended by the pet supply store so now, it is the only one she will eat. I didn't like the pet store price though so after trying some less expensive options to no avail, I searched online for this food and was pleasantly surprised to find it here. This bag is about 3 times the size of the one we get in store and is still a couple bucks cheaper. Since it is for small breeds that don't eat as much, this bag should last for a couple months at least.

We had the hardest time finding the right food for our Pug Oliver, now 4yo, we went through so many types an finally...this exact formula was it. And I would have never imagined ordering dog food in my life, then I came upon this. Exact same size, formula, and freshness...for about $10-$15 LESS, and now you can subscribe and get it monthly, which works for me, and that saves you 5% more. They have multiple sized bags and formmulas. So needless to say, I haven't set foot in a pet store to buy food since I found this. It's a deal you can't beat, especialllly if this or another Blue Buffalo food that they offer...it's a no brainer!

Five stars means "I love it"... actually Budweiser the Golden Doodle loves it. He can't eat regular dog food with a lot of fiber, or he gets IBS. Not a good situation for any of us. He loves Blue Buffalo, and since he gets bored with the same food all the time he really likes the fact that we can keep three flavors in rotation.The vet recommended some prescription Iams at $80 a bag. Buddy hated the stuff, we hated the stuff. Then someone recommended Blue Buffalo and everybody's happy. Except the vet who's not selling $2.50 a pound dog food any more.

My 1 yr old Yellow Lab had a problem of skin rash and she was chewing on her paws a lot, we tried several foods on her, never success until we switched to Blue Buffalo. It is starting to get better right away, now she also finished her first 24 Lbs bag, rarely see her chewing her paws, and her stool is firm, easy to pick up. A recent visit to the vet diagnosed a stomach bug( not because of the dog food). It was caused by a bacteria and so the vet suggested we add a probiotic Vitapet Probiotic Powder Blend For Dogs and Cats with 5 Billion CFU Per Serving. She thinks she is getting a treat. I sprinkle this in her food and this keeps her from getting diarrhea and vomiting. It is less costly to order online and worth every penny to not have sick puppies. !!!

My puppy goes crazy for these! I was able to teach my puppy how to sit with these treats. However, I recently read bad news about the Blue brand regarding the ingredients they use. I will have to look into this matter and see how bad the situation is....So after my puppy finishes this bag I will have to reconsider buying another bag.

My dog doesn't really care for other treats except this one! When my golden retriever sees me take this treat out, he listens to almost everything I say. They are a good size for my retriever cause other treats are really small like Zuke's or too bid like Old Mother Hubbard's. I definitely recommend them.

To say my dog loves the Banana Peanut Butter Bits treat would probably be an understatement. We're testing out treats to see what he likes, and these were a winner! He's obsessed with peanut butter and loves banana, so I figured these would be a good choice. As soon as I opened the bag he sat and waited patiently to try one. They don't have a strong smell to me, which I like (some treats just smell terrible), but they sure smelled great to my dog. He's a 2 year old, 70lb Rottweiler mix who isn't strongly food motivated. I'll be keeping these in my house and trying some other flavors.

These are the perfect treat for a small to medium sized dog. It is small enough that you can give a second or third treat if you dog repeats their positive behavior and you wish to reinforce it. I haven't eaten them, but I would venture to guess that they are tasty because my little guy comes back for more. I have been ordering and reordering them for several months and he still appreciates them. Also, like the zip closure top of the bag which seems to minimize the risk of them becoming stale. They are semi-soft treats so they are not too hard on older pets gums, yet provide enough texture that they do require chewing. Hope your dog likes them as much as mine does.

I got the 4oz chicken bits dog treats. There were 85 little soft, chewy, heart shaped snacks in the bag. All my dogs ate them first try and seemed to enjoy them, even the two picky ones. The little hearts are slightly smaller than a dime and just big enough to break in two. I break them in half for my tiny 4 lb dog so she doesn't just fill up on dog snacks.

I was looking for healthier options of dog treats for my puppy (4 months) and I found these at Petsmart. They were too expensive at Petsmart so I ordered them here on Amazon. They are the perfect size for my puppy and soft so they are easy for her to chew with her little baby teeth. They smell pretty good and my puppy loves the way they taste. Work great for training your puppy!

I have an 11 year old dog with cancer who is going through chemotherapy. This is the only food she will eat after her treatments. She loves this food and it's easy to hide her pills in it. No more struggling with getting her to swallow her pills. She's been able to maintain her weight with this dog food and keep the food down after treatments. She has a lot more energy and her coat is thick and shinny. I wish I would have started her on this food 2-3 years ago. I highly recommend it!

My puppy is a PICKY eater. I had a hard time finding something he would eat and tried many different foods! Mixing one tablespoon of this wet food with the Blue Buffalo dry puppy food did the trick. My puppy eats it all in one sitting, even if there are other distractions around. Awesome purchase for my pup!

Ahhhhh!!!! SO NICE TO BUY PET FOOD OUR PET MINIATURE DAUCHOUNDS WILL EAGERLY EAT!Boogie is 6 years old and very critical of what he eats. As us usual, he carefully sniffs his meal, glances up at me, then astoundingly, instead of sitting and giving me his sad eye look, he immediately eats his meal and asks for seconds! Best dog food I have ever given my dogs. They are over 15 yrs old each and I can see the difference in their level of activity.

Great food. We switched a few years ago when our 9 yr old vizsla started snubbing her previous food. Tried this and it was night and day.However! The dogs - for some inexplicable reason - drop the tiny black balls everywhere. It drives my wife nuts, which consequently makes me nuts.

The product is made with good ingredients but trying to get my dog to eat it he's not like running to eat his food.Needs something put in the ingredients that makes it smell good so they will want to eat it.And your price is not that great of a deal.Giving four stars for the price.

Recently switched from Taste of the wild to BLUE- because of personal reasons. Was worried at first seeing our little girl had ONLY been on one type of food since she could eat yet we are very happy with the choice as well as she! NO stomach issues with the switch, no refusal of eating. I recommend this brand to anyone looking for a healthy alternative for their baby 🐶

Of all the dog foods we've tried, this is the first one our dog will eat without too much of a fight. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because she doesn't like the little brown "Life Protection" vitamin bits. She knocks them out of the bowl and leaves them on the floor!

I resisted trying this for a long time because of a bad experience I had with Blue's customer support when my cat hated their cat food and almost died from not eating. If it weren't for my bad feelings about the company, I would give this five stars.Anyway, I finally gave in and bought some because there was always something that wasn't quite right about every other brand I tried (and that's most of the super-premium brands at one time or another over the years). Either one dog didn't like it, or one dog couldn't digest it properly, or the feces would have extra "aroma" or the food would be perfect, and then the formula would change, etc. etc. I've tried three varieties of Blue now, and all my dogs love it! One dog was having digestive issues, and this food cleared it up. I have three dogs weighing 20 lb, 15 lb, and 7 lb. The small kibble size is perfect for them.As much as I hate to give my money to Blue, my dogs' health and welfare comes before my own personal feelings, so I continue to feed them Blue.TIP: My littlest dog is a fairly recent rescue with only a couple teeth. I put some Blue in a large refrigerator dish, cover it with water, and refrigerate. Then I scoop out his meals from that. He seems to like it even better than canned food. Sometimes I'll mix some with my other dogs' food, and they think they're getting a special treat!

Blue buffalo is a great brand. But there are so many great treats out there. This is just ok

My little fur baby is old and has a couple bad teeth, so these (Blue Bits Beef Recipe Dog Treats) are a great little soft morsel of goodness that she just loves. She will literally cry for them, looking at the bag then looking at me and whimpering, then barks at me if I'm not paying attention. I buy these on a monthly basis. This was my 3rd purchase.However, if I were to rate this purchase alone, it would only get 1 star. This package was sliced down the back, and enveloped in a sealed plastic bag. (It won't allow me to add a photo) I had to throw it away, as I'm housebound and unable to send it back. They don't look right, and are very hard. My little girl just can't eat them, nor would I want her to.However, this is an isolated incident. The other Blue treat bags came in perfectly, as usual. This is normally a very good product that arrives quickly and just fine.

My GSD likes it and has grown strong and sturdy eating Blue Buffalo. A bit pricey but beneficial for pups who will become large dogs.

Made of meat. A soft, saft snack for dogs.I feel confident to feed my dog with Blue's products. They are free of preservation, artificial flavor and color.It would be better if they could make it in smaller size. I think the size is a little too big for small/medium dog training. I have a beagle. It usually takes him 5 seconds to finish one piece. It is too long for a training treat. So I use it as a normal treat.

I have 2 labs and they enjoy these treats. They like the blue wild bits a little better and the wild bits seem slightly larger. Good product, but I recommend keeping the bag sealed. They will dry out and get hard if not.

I got this after many good reviews. My puppy prefers my plato treat in terms of value. The blue bits were helpful to start, but they definitely gravitated towards the platos. So this became my come here treat. But was difficult to use for training new tricks.These were easier to break and split compared to the platos. Flavor, i'd assume is slightly less favorable than platos.

I originally bought these cans because they were holistic and did not have fillers and were cheaper than the alternative flavors,brands. I love them because my 4 Jack Russell's love it. Con it is a little stinky but the smell goes away right after it is in my dogs belly.

Dogs won't eat unless they absolutely have to and nothing else is available. A bit expensive for what it is. Had purchased Blue sensitive stomach for our cat, and she loved it, so we thought our dogs would love this food- but not so much.

I like what this brand offers, but my terrier won't eat the lifesource bits. He takes the bits out of his bowl and leaves them all over the floor. He eats the bigger pieces. I don't think he's getting the full benefit of this brand, since the bits contain vitamins. I'll switch back to the one he will eat. I wish the company would coat the bits in something tastier.

We like the small size (toy breed) formula for our Maltese. Our 4 year old princess is a small size dog that has a tiny mouth so we think she will like a smaller size dry food. However, she seems has no interest in this. If I put them in her mouth, she will spit it out. In general, she is not picky. She has good appetite to all kinds of snack or food we give her. I guess she just does not like the smell? We end up trash the whole bag.

This product made my dogs extremely gassy and stinky almost immediately. It is good rich food that they seem to really love but I can barely stand to be around them when they eat it.

The 30# bag of food was ripped and torn. I had a heck of a time getting it inside and quite a bit spilledoutNever had that happen before

Weirdly, my dog eats the larger triangular bits but spits out the little round ones. Not sure what the difference is, as I have not sampled it myself, but it's gotta be something other than shape. Unfortunately, I bought a huge bag of this, and ended up throwing most of it out.

I was so excited for my puppy to try these. He is almost 8 months old and a very picky eater. I like the ingredients in this and was hoping my puppy would like these treats also. Unfortunately he wouldn't eat them. I have tried many doggy treats and I haven't found anything yet he likes. I do recommend these treats for I'm sure most dogs will love them.

Although my dogs love these. (They love all food--they're Golden Retrievers) I don't like that they get really hard if you don't leave them in the sealed package.

My dog loves these treats (what dog doesn't love bacon!), but they're not useful for training a small dog because the treats are too large. Yes, they're fairly small 'bits,' but still too large for an hour obedience class requiring lots of treat rewards. So I chopped these up, but in the future I'll just use cheese....

My furbabies (2dogs and 4cats) like these treats which makes me very happy but the peices are so small. I think these treats are only for training purposes. When I gave them the treat, they looked at me and said what's this, are we broke, did we run outta money, where's the rest of the treat. I agree with them where's the rest of the treat?? I mean this tiny little bag costs $9. I saw that it is Blue Buffalo Chicken Bits but I thought the Bits were bigger than what was in the bag. I love Blue products for my babies but I won't be buying these Bits again cause they are too expensive

My both dogs didn’t like this one at all!

I'm doing 3 stars RIGHT NOW, I just got this today and fed my dogs. The consistency is really mushy. Like puree. They ate it, my schnauzer will eat anything. He's 12. The chihuahua-Pekingese mix dog wasn't too excited about it. We shall see. I'll update after I've gone through these 12 cans.

Dogs don't seem to like it

While my very senior dog loves it, I'm disappointed in the distributor. It's as if they deliberately pick out all the dented cans to send out for the Amazon shipments. I can understand perhaps a few dented cans on the outside of the case if it had been dropped, however the entire case of cans, all 24 of 2 cases were deeply dented either at the top or bottom of the can.I believe in the product and I believe it's added life to our 13 year old large breed dog. She's slow to get up but once up, moves freely, which I believe this product with its wholesome ingredients have allowed to give new life to old joints.

I purchased this instead of the grain free food by accident and immediately noticed my dog did not respond well to this blend. Not sure what is in this but I would recommend the Freedom blend only for a grain free diet.

We had been using Blue Buffalo lamb and oatmeal puppy food for our dog and switched to the adult version. My dog got very sick! I'm writing a cautionary review just because I do like blue buffalo products and she does very well with their puppy food. This one just didn't sit well with her. This is also the only dog food I have purchased online so that may have something to do with it?

Rating this 2 stars because my dog seems to like it, but it makes her sick to her stomach where she throws up. I took her off of it for 2 weeks and she didn't get sick at all. Got a new bag last night and today she's throwing up again. :(

Thought maybe this would help with my dogs dry skin but I didn't see a difference. He also threw up within the first few days of switching to it so I don't think it agrees with his body. We switched to Wellness and he hasn't had any digestive issues so far.

I have a Border Collie that will eat almost anything but refuses to eat this... don't know if it's the Lamb or what but will be running this down to the shelter. She has been on Taste of the Wild for nearly a year and never hesitates to finish about 3/4 cup morning and again at night.

Both my dogs started to stand and stare over the food after 1 1/2 weeks. I think they were tired of eating the same thing. Eventually, they would reluctantly eat it, but obviously they didn't want to. The dogs were miniature schnauzers. Maybe the flavor is too bland. Might be why it was the cheapest at the time.

My dogs find these pretty tasty, but they're messy, crumbly and not easy to carry in pocket for training. Seems like Blue Buffalo swept the floor in the dog food factory, mashed it altogether and pressed these "bits" out and called them treats.Incredibly pricey for a nothing-special treat

MY DOG ISN'T THRILLED WITH THIS FOOD

Plain and simple- dogs did not like. Fairly non-picky dogs really didn't like the food and we had to doctor it up with juices and other tasty food in order to get them to finish the case. Kind of falls back on the Blue ads that show fairly unfit people being demanding about what their dogs eat, when it appears they dine at Jack in the Crack themselves. Food needs to be more than nutritious to be tasty and edible.

Upon arrival of the two case's of Blue Buffalo one of the case's (chicken flavor) had been dropped and six cans was dented and had to be thrown away, was scared to feed to my little dog. Otherwise dog food was okey. Thank You

The food is great--it's Amazon's delivery that stinks. The bag arrived on time, but when I opened it just now, about a fourth of the bag is nothing but "dust." The food has clearly been handled so roughly that it has disintegrated. I ordered the food (Small Breed Adult--Fish and Brown Rice) online because my Scottish Terrier loves it and my local pet stores don't carry it. But I won't bother again. I'll go straight to PetsMart or Petco and ask them to order it. At least then I will be able to return it if it arrives in the same condition this bag did. :-(

My dog used to love this stuff, but I don't know what was wrong with the last bag we got. He wouldn't really eat it with the same enthusiasm and a day later we understood why. This dog food made my dog's stool red with blood! Buyer beware, do your research on this brand and you will see it is nothing but marketing hype and pawning off a poor product as a top end one.

I have been buying blue buffalo dog food for almost two years. My dog loved it until two months ago. She stopped wanting to eat. She walks everyday for an hour and a half so she is always hungry. I knew something was wrong, I brought her to the vets they ran blood work, stool sample and could not find anything. She has been having diarrhea for the past few weeks. Then yesterday morning threw up all of her food. I went online and read reviews about people purchasing dog food on amazon and having the same issues I am having. I am a faithful amazon shopper. But I am very disappointed. I now have a large amount of dog food that I purchased and is going to get thrown out. I purchased a bag of dog food (different brand) at a local store, filled her bowl up and she ate the whole thing like her old self. Is it something wrong with blue buffalo or the way it is being stored/shipped? I would prefer to order my dog food through amazon as it is more convenient but my dogs health is more important to me. Please fix this problem amazon so that I can again order her food through amazon.

I have been feeding the Large Breed Fish and Oatmeal (Life Protection Formula) since May of this year, switching from Taste of the Wild to Blue after adopting a Labradoodle. This review is only for what I received from Amazon, as all the bags I have purchased elsewhere have been great, and I highly recommend Blue's Large Breed Fish and Oatmeal. There were no rips or tears in the bag I ordered on November 6th from Amazon, but I noticed a difference as soon as I opened it- I couldn't smell the fish that has been quite a pungent aroma in other bags, and saw the physical difference as soon as I looked at it. The photo shows the Blue from Amazon (ordered on November 6th) on the left, and Blue from chewy.com (ordered on September 23rd) on the right. The difference in physical appearance is surprising. The food on the right, from chewy.com, smells distinctly of fish, while the food from Amazon does not.Luckily, I am not out of food, and I will be purchasing another bag locally or from chewy.com to replace the nonreturnable one I received from Amazon. Again, I highly recommend this food when purchased at chewy.com or local pet supply stores, and I will not be purchasing this from Amazon again.

We recently purchased this for our 7 year old maltese. Initially he seemed to like it but after a couple weeks, we started to notice two things. 1) the hair around his eyes and mouth seemed to be thinning 2) some bacteria spots developed inside his ear. We thought it was related to age. However, we also started to think about what has changed over the past couple of weeks and realized it could be the new food.We stopped feeding him this product, and his hair started to grow back and his ears were clean in a matter of days (7-10 days). Clearly, our dog had a bad reaction to this food and therefore cannot recommend this product.

Includes a large infestation of some sort of insect. Blue Buffalo blames amazon and seemed very unconcerned when contacted.

This make my puppy sick and he lost weight. I don't recommend.

When I first got it, my puppy was intrigued and gobbled it up. But after a few cans, he was no longer interested in it and it made his stool very wet. I would not buy again.

The consistency is very soft, the appearance and color is now pale and there's an odd smell. I checked containers for expiration dates and all dates are through 2018. Prior orders visibly contained vegetables. The recipe has changed and my baby refuses to eat it. I will be returning this item.

Though we have ordered this product several times from Amazon, this time at least half of the can were dented - some severely. Since many of the affected cans were in the center, it may not have been a shipping problem - though I have reported it as such. While Blue Buffalo is a good product, something is wrong when so many cans have been damaged.

There is a class action suit against Blue Buffalo, because apparently their labeling is false.[...]
