My new go to for a good nights sleep. Slight drowsiness in the morning but nothing the first cup of coffee can't fix! Have been taking this daily for a few months with no loss in effectiveness.

This works better than the other sleep aids. Most are made with diphenhydramine (benadryl). The chemical make up is different and is what the original Unisom was. It is almost impossible to find it in the stores anymore.

Works great. It won't knock you out from being wide awake -- you do have to attempt to go to sleep. I take two and I find it takes me a little longer to get going in the morning, but nothing very noticeable. A bizarrely awesome side effect is that my skin is amazing while taking this. I didn't try this for my skin, but it's a great bonus.

I have been taking this sleep aid for roughly four years and I have always bought the Kirkland brand and this size for the duration. I like that it comes in the double pack of 96. If you take it every night like I do it equates to a roughly 6-month supply. I prefer this sleep aid over Diphenhydramine as doxylamine succinate does not give me restless legs. Please note that while Benedryl (Diphenhydramine) has a half life of four hours Doxylamine succinate has a half life of 8 hours. This means that if you plan to sleep less than eight hours you might experience slight grogginess. f I have slept less than 8 hours I find that the grogginess is nothing a good cup of coffee can't clear up.In addition to using this as a sleep aid, I also use it as a decongestant and take it in conjunction with Claritin 24-hour because I find that my congestion is the worst first thing in the morning. Due to the fact that this is actually an antihistamine helps with decreasing the amount of congestion in my sinuses from filling up overnight.I take the pill along with my nightly vitamins and find that it takes anywhere from 45 to 1 hour to really work its magic on me. I have problems falling asleep due to running thoughts and the inability to stop the racing mind. This pill literally closes my eyes for me so I don't even have time to focus on my thoughts. This might be a con for those people who are sensitive to sleep aids, but it will be a godsend to those who have problems shutting down. One minute you are worrying over something and the next moment you are almost too sleepy to take off your glasses or put down your book.

I always have a hard time falling asleep (multiple hours of staring at the inside of my eye lids), but now it only takes me about an hour of winding down after taking this, then about 20-30 minutes to fall asleep after I lie down. The best part for me is I don't usually have any issues the next morning with grogginess. I've only ever had that when I take it too late to sleep it off properly, which is really my own fault.

It works good to help stop the mind chatter when you need to go to sleep but you cant because for some reason you are thinking about the day in 3rd grade you were riding your big wheel by a sewer ditch and your aunt was screaming at you to come home but as always you just ignored here and listened to the music playing in your head(jing, jing, gang a jing ajing, jing a jinga gana jing)........anyway this stuff stops all that monkey mind chatter, and lets you get some rest, just buy it.

Works well to help me fall asleep but not stay asleep. I'm awake again after 3-4 hrs. I also have to take 2 for it to work.

These work pretty well along with Melatonin. The taste is awful though if it lands on your tongue before swallowing!

I've used this product for many years, you don't get a hangover with it (i.e.it doesn't keep you tired all day!) I feel the effects in 60 to 80 minutes, sleep really well & wake up refreshed. I take one and a half with melatonin.

Inexpensive and does it what it says it will do. I find it works better than the name brand alternatives.

Best sleep aid I've tried. I don't take it often, only once every couple months when I'm really lacking sleep. I take one pill about half an hour before bed and am knocked out. Make sure you set aside 8 hours for sleep or you're going to feel like you have a really bad hangover the next morning. Lesson learned after the first time.

I've been using this generic brand of Unisom sleeping pills for many years. I've been an insomniac for over 20 years (since I was a teenager) and tried Diphenhydramine HCI and Ambien. Diphenhydramine HCI 25mg (the active sleep aid ingredient in Benadryl, Simply Sleep etc.) didn't do a thing for me. Ambien worked intermittently but would leave me feeling nauseous the next day. Doxylamine Succinate (the active sleep ingredient in this item) is the most effective for me. It wont work everyday but if you take a break in between days, then it is effective. I used to take an entire pill (25mg) but it left me very drowsy the next day. Then I tried a 1/2 a pill and it still left me drowsy. So I decided to try 1/3 of a pill, which would in essence be around 8mg of Doxylamine Succinate. Nyquil uses 6.25mg of Doxylamine Succinate per tablespoon. 1/3rd of this tablet seems like the perfect dose as it didn't leave me groggy the next day and still helped me fall asleep. Bear in mind, I'm a 200lb male and this reduced dose still was strong enough for me. Recently, I started taking 3mg of Natrol Timed Release melatonin in conjunction with the 1/3 dose of this pill and has worked wonders in helping me fall asleep and STAY asleep for at least 8 hours. Taking just the 1/3rd dose of this pill or just the 3mg of Timed Release Melatonin by itself wasn't as effective as taking the both of them combined. BTW, I purchased the Kirkland Sleep Aid 2 x 96 192 Tablets from the seller "RokBuy" and the item arrived quickly and with a long 21 month from expiration date. Cheers!

Ive been using this product for a couple weeks now. Works about the same as most over the counter sleeping pills. It helps me fall asleep but doesnt help me stay asleep

I had to double the dose, but they generally help me sleep now. I'm having issues with vibration in my apartment making me anxious and keeping me up. The next day drowsiness whether with the regular dose or doubled dose is very long lasting though.

Ok but maybe I am just one of the people it doesn't really work for I take two and I mean it helps me get to bed but not really keep me asleep. And you feel pretty groggy afterwards.

I have had insomnia my entire life. I seem to lack a circadian rhythm of any kind whatsoever. This will put me out if I need to be up for an appointment which is not often being as I am retired. HOWEVER, this is some weird s***. First off, it sets off my hot flashes like crazy - more frequent, longer and wetter. On the upside, my face looks years younger the next day, it seems to plump up my skin. I dream like crazy normally but when I take this I experience an extra dollop of technicolor plot innovation with this product - close to opium in vividness which I tried a few times in my hippy days or to the more legal SSRIs.On the negative side, I don't feel fully awake the next day and frequently end up taking a long nap.

This is my first time taking sleeping aids. It didn't really work so well for me the first night. I slept but it was a light-sleep and I was in and out of sleep all night. In the morning I woke up with stomach pains (I took just one pill). The rest of the nights I took only a half pill, and I didn't have any more stomach pains, and it seemed to put me to sleep pretty quickly. So that was good. But the next day mentally I definitely feel like a zombie for about 4 hours. I guess it affects everyone differently. I would definitely say it's useful for those nights I just can't seem to sleep, and I'm willing to deal with the zombie-after-effects, but as a result I'm not in love with it either.

It's more useful as a supplement to the main dose of other types of aids, since this one can be broken up and taken in smaller doses. On its own it doesn't give me a deep sleep into REM (dream sleep,) and leaves me drowsy. It builds up in one's system. It's just not efficient is what I'm saying.Consult a naturopath for metabolic induced (sleep rhythms,) sleeping problems. Melatonin is a nice supplement every two or three days, or once and a while on its own. It builds up too, but is a natural bodily substance with anti-carcinogen properties apparently. You can get your bodily amount of natural and needed melatonin measured by a naturopath. For whatever reason the mainstream medical profession are not as concerned about our metabolic system, or as trained.

I just took one pill and I was very drowsy the next day. I don't think I'll be taking anymore !

They don't work ... maybe it's me, nothing seems to work except Advil PM for me.

It didn't work as miraculously for me as it did some. So.......still sleepless in Seattle. :( I'd probably have to take two, but don't want to do that. I read an article where antihystamines leach calcium from our bones, and since I already have osteopenia, not good for someone like me.

Doesn't work for me. I even took up to 3 of these. I feel terrible.

They did not work at all.

Tried it twice, one pill the first time, two pills the second. Doesn't make me sleepy just dopey and awake. Takes me twelve full hours to be able to walk around and function somewhat normally and a full day before I am back to myself.

disappointed!!! Did not help getting to sleep at all!!!!!!
