Best De-humidifier IMO!
January 20, 2017
This thing is a beast! It's like those silica gel packs on steroids.Forget recharging your dessicants in the oven, nope just plug this bad boy in! That is the only problem though, it has the plus sideways so it works best when plugged into an outlet that is sideways. Luckily I have 1 but I don't think everyone does. Though I wouldn't let that put you off. I am sure you could get it to stay in a horizontal outlet aka a normal one. The charge is about 10 hours but a little less or more isn't going to hurt anything or anyone.I use this in a safe & another in my closet. The one in the closet collects moisture much faster than the one in the safe. I do have some liquid in my closet though... don't ask! (;Pros:-Rechargeable-Good quality-Trusthworthy brand-Safe friendly-No oven needed-No harmful chemicalsCons:-Plugs in best to a vertical outlet-Can potentially leak the lil balls that suck up moisture

I got this for my guitar room and it does a great job keeping the humidity 40-50% in a room about 10x10. I have to charge it quite often in the summertime ( I live in NorCal) but I think if I added a 2nd one I would not have to charge as often. Charging is a breeze and sometimes I just leave it plugged in. Great little product for the $
Works Great
December 19, 2016
This is a simple passive solution to keeping my valuables dry and safe from moisture damage. Once a month, I pull the Eva-dry and plug into an outlet for 24 hours then toss it back in your safe, closet, whatever (I know it says it recharges in 8-10 hours, but that only partially recharges it). You know it's working when the enclosed area is void of mildew odors with no signs of rust on metals.
Great for keeping my small safe dry and mildew free.
August 29, 2016
Great for keeping my small safe dry and mildew free.I live in a humid area of California and have had issues with mildew inside my small safe before. I've used other products that tend to fill with liquid and are a pain to dump. With this I check the color of the beads once a month and when it needs it, I plug it in for an evening and it is ready to work for another couple months.I like this so much I am looking at buying a couple more to put in some closets to get rid of the other systems that require liquid dumping and a kitty litter like replacement.
FANTASTIC product for the money!!!
July 14, 2014
The little box has kept my bathroom dry for over a month now. We have an old house with only one, very small bathroom. There are 6 people in my family and the bathroom gets a lot of use. When my boys and teenage daughter would get a hot shower the entire bathroom would steam up to bad the walls would drip within a few minutes. We have a ceiling fan/light but it just wasn't enough. I wanted a dehumidifier that was compact since we don't have any extra room in our bathroom but we needed something powerful enough to do the job. This little box is both!!! It has worked great! The colors on the front panel are easy to read when it needs to be "aired out". I simply took it outside where there is an outside outlet and plugged it in for a few hours, good as new! I would highly recommend this for small, damp spaces. Right now I have it hanging out our curtain rod from a hook that's included. There are small spaces where the dehumidifier is screwed together and I might tap some small nails into the side of my bathroom storage unit and try to hang it up. GREAT product for the money!!!
I wish I'd known this existed a couple years ago
August 4, 2013
A couple years ago we bought a waterproof/fireproof safe by Sentry. In order to make it waterproof they use some sort of water based insulation, I'm not sure if this is unique to Sentry or an industry practice. What happens in our safe is that everything is soggy and even my passport became warped and had some mold on the outside. I kept throwing in those silica packets that came with clothing and other items we purchased and they did not effect the moisture level inside the safe. I came across this and really didn't think I had anything to lose by trying it, the price was definitely right. When I received it, the crystals were already blue. I charged it right away and put it in the safe the next day. It's been a little more than 1 month and I have not yet seen the crystals turn pink. Everything inside the safe is nice and dry, all the paperwork feels a lot more crisp. I won't call the people who can't discern the color an blind like another reviewer. I can imagine some units may not work or people may have trouble seeing inside just like any product you buy nowadays. For me, the blue is a very dark blue. As I haven't seen the pink yet, I cannot comment on that. Although mine seems to have lasted longer than the advertised time, my papers and such are still very dry so I believe it is still working. If your item is defective, I would definitely get a replacement since I find this product to be a life saver (or a safe saver as it is, har har). Hope this helps.Edit 10/2/2013: I came back to post a picture of the pink color beads. I glanced at other reviews trying to find mine, and I'm shaking my head that people think this is for a vehicle or will take the place of an exhaust fan in your bathroom. This is a passive device, despite having a plug. It's strength is really for small places that you open and find mold or for preserving items. Anyway, still going strong here. I'll post a picture of the beads.

Great for a small bathroom without a fan
June 7, 2017
I have purchased 2 of these so far and have used them in a small bathroom without a vent. Works very well and isn't noisy (there is a hum). You can tell it's working by the amount of water that is collected in the reservoir.

I would let it run though after your done with the bathroom, maybe turn it off later when you have to go to the bathroom again.

This is probably one of the best alternatives to a ceiling fan or opening the window.
surprised this tiny machine actually works - good for small room only
February 9, 2017
Wow, this TINY little machine really does pull water out of the air. I didn't want a big, noisy dehumidifier - it's for the bedroom in my apartment that's growing mold along the exterior walls. I decided this would work faster than the silica gel packets that I'm also using.

I've been using the Eva-dry for over two months. So far, so good. It's really very quiet. It will take about 6 days to fill the water reservoir but the room smells less musty than before. I also cleared some clutter out of my clothes closet and left the closet doors open to allow the air to circulate. So far, no new mold.
We have had them for a few months and they work great. I got tired of emptying the water tray
September 22, 2016
We have two closets in our bathroom that tend to build up moisture. We have been using DampRid for years, then found these little guys. We have had them for a few months and they work great. I got tired of emptying the water tray, so I headed over to Home Depot and got a 3/8" ID and 1/2" OD plastic elbow. Using a spade bit, I drilled a hole in the side of the tray, and used some silicone to make it water tight. I got 10' of clear plastic hose and hooked it up to a milk container that I drilled a hole in the cap. Works great and I only have to empty the water every couple of months. Eva-dry might want to consider adding these kinds of trays as an option to what is now available.
For a small room or camper, this is perfect
June 7, 2016
This little dehumidifier really works! I tested it in the house and was amazed by the amount of moisture it pulled out of the air. It is quite. Just a soft fan sound. I purchased it to use in my camper. One thing they omitted from the instructions: there is a black rubber stopper in the top rear corner of the water tank. Turn unit OFF. You pull the water tank straight out the front of the unit (use other hand to hold unit still). On top of tank pull the black stopper up enough to free it, it has a "T" to retain it. Pour water out. Replace/Reseat stopper. Slide tank straight into front of unit and turn ON.
So far, so good - 4 year update
November 13, 2012
This little unit is extremely quiet, and has now been in my bathroom for 3 hours. After that short amount of time, there's 1/3 of a cup of water in the tank. Yes, I have a disgustingly wet apartment.

The only thing I can see that might be a negative is that the cord is a bit on the short side. This doesn't affect me, as there aren't any outlets in my ridiculously ghetto bathroom anyway, but if you live in a NORMAL place, you would not be able to set this on the floor if your bathroom has counter-level outlets.
I'll update this review after we've been running it for a little while.

***24 hour update***
The container is now about half full after just over 24 hours. Our bathmat is dry for the first time since August, and after the morning round of showers, the walls and ceiling were dry after about 45 minutes, as opposed to the usual 3 hours. Our bath towels, wash cloths, and toothbrushes are all dry as well. They usually never dry, which is really unpleasant. Needless to say, this little unit would be getting more than 5 stars from me right now if it were possible. Hopefully it will last quite a while. If it continues to work this well, we'll buy 2 more for the other really damp areas in the apartment.

*** 9 months later and still going strong. Still quiet, still sucks the moisture out of the air like mad. We have run it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week since we got it. I did think it had died last week, because after we emptied it, it started to make an atrocious noise, but I unplugged it, flipped it over, and cleaned out the fan with some q-tips, and now it's good as new. If yours has started to make death rattles, clean it out!

**** It's now March of 2017. It's still working just as well as it did new. We do have to clean the dust and lint out of it about every 6 months with a combination of q-tips and compressed air. Not a lot of maintenance for an item that has been running 4+ years now.

Improved display, but hanging hook is plastic
November 5, 2017
This was purchased for my Dad's safe, and worked well. I had purchased an earlier version for myself and have been quite happy with its performance in my safe. The improved moisture display was appreciated. Disappointed with the "new and improved" hook for hanging it in the safe. The older model uses a metal hook; the "new and improved" version is cheap plastic. Guess when this one breaks (and it will), I will have to fashion a new hook - guarantee that one will be of metal!
Don't cheap out, but if you do, this is the one you want.
October 20, 2017
Not sure how much it actually did because the closet I placed it in still felt damp, but that's my fault because the closet is inside the bathroom. It lasts about 3 days before it needs a charge, which isn't bad!Probably best to spend the extra money on a proper dehumidifier, especially if you have a walk in closet in the bathroom and you want to protect your clothes.
So far so good
July 12, 2017
Not a ton to say about this. You open the unit, remove the plastic wrap and set it into the safe. It's been about a week with slight color change noted in the window. I have to guess I've got a ot a week and a half or so before a recharge will be needed. Living in the south I may grab an additional unit to help with humidity but we'll see how long this unit goes between charges.
This works great to keep the pantry from a stench
March 15, 2017
I live in major humidity. This works great to keep the pantry from a stench. Works just as well as those disposable ones but no mess. I read others complain of it releasing the moisture back into the air. Just plug it in outside use an extension cord. I give it a 4 star because it only stays dry a little less than a week before needing to be replugged when the disposable ones last way longer.
okay for small spaces but takes longer to absorb moisture
March 1, 2017
It's a slow way to absorb moisture out of a smaller space (bookcase, cupboards, closets or in areas between furniture and a moldy exterior wall) but it works. The beads are packed neatly inside the plastic casing and I dry out the beads downstairs in the garage AC outlet. Usually takes about 10-12 hours before the beads in the clear window turn back to a light orange color. $15 is the best price I've found for the Eva-dry 333.
Clever and handy little gadget!
August 29, 2016
This tiny little powerhouse works great for small areas where a monster sized dehumidifier wouldn't be practical. It uses little beads to absorb moisture ( about a cup full I believe ) and the indicator on the front changes color to show when it is full. A clever tucked in plug folds out from the back and you can plug it into an outlet where it is then able to dry back out enabling you to use it again and again. It also comes with a hook that attaches if you want to hang it in a closet or something. Great price, neat product.

Keep in mind these things are like space heaters or a/c units
September 12, 2016
keeps the bathroom dry. I just keep it on 24/7, doesn't rack up the electric bill from what I can tell. When in use my tub is dry after work, if not in use there are still water droplets after work.

Keep in mind these things are like space heaters or a/c units, its just not going to do anything if you keep windows and doors open and allow airflow to pump in humid air. With its size, it does well in a small bathroom with the door cracked open over the course of a day, its not going to do jack keeping your entire house dry or even a well ventilated room like a living room or basement.
Despite it's size it actually pumps pretty effectively in our bathroom
July 16, 2016
This is much smaller than I thought, about the size of a volleyball. I think if I'd known I'd have bought the 2200. Despite it's size it actually pumps pretty effectively in our bathroom, which has little air flow. It can drop the humidity level from 89 down to about 65 in a few hours after a shower. I empty it every couple of days. I would rate it "good for 1 room if you have a minor humidity problem". If your humidity problem is major, get the more powerful one.
which I love. When mold began to appear on my other ...
July 13, 2016
Summer in Boston can be humid. I had an Eva-dry rechargeable small hanging dehumidifier for one of my bathrooms, which I love. When mold began to appear on my other bathrooms, I decided to give this petite dehumidifier a try. I received it two days ago and it has been working to suck the moisture out of the said bathroom. It is very quiet, and has gathered almost half a container of water. I will update in a few months to see if it's working effectively against the mold.
The fan is definitely noisier than when it was new and seems to keep getting worse. I'm sure at some point it will fail ...
December 9, 2015
I bought two of these... one for our main bathroom to help dry it out after showers, and one for a truck I keep covered in storage for parts of the year.

The bathroom unit pulls a lot of water. I empty it about once a week at least, although now that winter is here I'm not doing it as often. My one gripe is the same as others, that it's noisy. The fan is definitely noisier than when it was new and seems to keep getting worse. I'm sure at some point it will fail and I'll probably take it apart and put in a new, quieter fan. I've done that on other devices and I know where to get good quality computer fans that won't die or make a lot of noise, so that's helpful.

The one I keep in my truck doesn't need to be emptied as often. I check it every couple weeks and it's about 3/4 full at that point. Probably because I'm not opening and closing the truck doors all the time, once it pulls out excess moisture it's not really getting a whole lot extra in there so it stabilizes. Works for me. I just run an extension cord into the truck and *gently* close the door so the rubber seal at the bottom of the door frame won't crimp the extension cord. Works in my case... might not be a great solution for others. I could plug it into an always-on 12V outlet in there and find a suitable adapter with the right power tip... I keep the truck on a battery charger so in theory it would be fine, but I didn't want to cause the battery to be constantly draining and charging while in storage, so I went with the extension cord method.
Does a good job in a standard-sized bathroom used to store hockey gear
August 15, 2014
My husband's hockey equipment stinks. Really bad. He tries it on a coat rack inside the tub of a spare bathroom. While we have the vent/fan on nearly constantly, we live in VA now and the humidity is a factor, so I bought this to pull some of the moisture out of the air.
This little unit does a good job. The water collects in the pan (the blue/clear part of the unit) and when it collects enough water, that entire part slides straight forward out, then you pull the little plug on top, pour it out, put the plug back in, and turn it on again. This is low-maintenance! There are no extra parts to purchase (no extra filters, etc.). The plug does get a bit warm, but nothing alarming. The fan makes a little noise, but its the steady hum of a fan, nothing too loud in my opinion.
The only thing it doesn't do is pull the stench out, but I put a bit of activated carbon in a pouch in the room and it smells better. The two together make a perfect pair!

I prefer clay desiccant bags. Those will reduce humidity more. Perhaps this desiccant last long between recharges?
June 20, 2017
Updating after 4 months use: Not as bad as I thought. Works OK in my small safe, but humidity doesn't go below 30%. It does stay there for a long time, which is good. Clay desiccant bags will lower humidity to 10%-20%. This desiccant is OK and does work and perhaps lasts longer between recharges.Had I know then what I know now, I probably would not have ordered these. My earlier review is below this line. In hindsight, I was too harsh with that earlier posting.---------------------Not functioning well at all! I bought two of these for a small safe (Verifi Smart.Safe) also purchased on amazon. The safe is great, while the desiccants are not removing moisture well.I put one of these in the safe and expected that my moisture test card would should 10%-20% moisture quickly. Didn't happen. After a week, I thought I'd try both of these "magic desiccant boxes" in the safe. Little change. The color of the beads is unchanged, and the moisture level is only slightly changed.I also have some 1-pound CLAY desiccant bags. Any one of those works better than two of these. Not worth the money, in my opinion. Might make great paperweights.
Probably a great product for keeping moisture down. Recharge feature is pretty awesome.
November 22, 2016
I'm sure it does a good job where intended. I tried to use it in my kegerator to keep moisture down, but the cold temperatures seem to render it ineffective for that application.
Great for gun safes, not for cars
April 12, 2016
It would work well for a box, like a gun safe, but not so much for the car. We were hoping it would help our car stay less humid, we live in Florida and the AC went out in the van. If all the windows are up and the doors and windows never open I am sure it would have worked perfectly. It lasted 2 weeks in the van before the beads were all pink. It did charge quickly when we needed to charge it. We ended up giving it to my Dad to use for his gun safe. He says it works great there.
I would say this would work best in something the size of a hope chest, but don't forget to keep checking on it.
August 13, 2015
If you have a humidity problem, this dehumidifier is not large enough for closet sized areas. It said something about hang it in a closet, and even comes with a hook to go over a hanger rod. By the terms "wireless" and "renewable", what it means is that it is a container of something like a desiccant that can be dried periodically out by means of a built in heater that you plug in for about 24 hours every 30 days. Then you unplug it and hang it in the closet again. It can be easily forgotten and not renewed rendering it non-functional for that period. I will be replacing mine with a dehumidifier that stays plugged in full time. I use mine in a gun cabinet and even a space that small had it needing to be renewed in 30 days. I cannot afford for it to fail if I should forget to recharge.
Don't drop this unit otherwise you'll be busy for a while!
April 16, 2015
I purchsed this unit to clear up some of the mositure issues that I have in my bathroom. It was actually working fairly well to just here recently. I recharged the unit and hung it on the shower rod for the overnight hrs. Well needs to say it slim off the little hook that came with the unit and little balls inside of this thing went EVERYWHERE. And apparently when they hit water they explode and go flying everywhere. I spent like an hour picking this things up and vaccum them up. They really need a better cap designed, but it just flew right off when it landed. Wonder if you can get some more of the little balls, so that I could at least fill my unit back up??
Eva-dry mini dehumidifier
March 24, 2014
Maybe I should have gotten the larger models. It seems that I have to refresh them almost once every two weeks. I have a 24 gun safe. Not sure the cubic dimensions. Maybe it is moisture from oils after lubricating my weapons. I am not sure. But they definitely turn color. I am waiting on a hygrometer to measure the humidity that exists inside the safe. I live in a humid environment during the summer months. I have my safe in a cool basement that is not included in my central A/C unit. And I an recently talking about having to refresh these during the winter months. I have also purchased other moisture absorbing products to assist and control moisture. I do not see any problems with rusting and it helps to keep all ammo as dry as possible. I keep metal ammo cans inside safe with as much ammo as i can fit.

Ok
February 19, 2017
I've had this for a couple of months now and it's OK. I had it in a small and I mean really small closet that always had a mold problem. I would check everyday for any moisture problems. Sometimes it wouldn't get all the moisture out which kinda sucked, but it was better than before. I upgraded to a better dehumidifier now that does my whole studio and there is such a huge difference. I can breath better and even my closet is dry. This was definitely a temporary fix.
Not effective
November 1, 2016
The unit itself is quiet and easy to use. But it doesn't seem overly effective. I had a RH of anywhere between 60-85% in my master bathroom. I thought this unit would fill up quickly given those levels. I could leave it on all day and only find a millimeter of water in the tank with no change in the RH of the room. So points for aesthetics and quiet noise levels, but not optimum on functionality.
Worked well for 45 days. Stopped. Started working again
February 24, 2016
UPDATE 2: After mysteriously stop working in 45 days of use, I tried to plug and unplugging several times but it wouldn't work. Three to four days after being completely disconnected from electricity and wiped out, I plugged back in and it started working again. Now, it works better and fills about 40% to 50% capacity of reservoir in 24 hours. So far, it is still holding as of July (six months from purchase).
----
UPDATE: Product arrived in January and early March stop functioning. No warnings. In the morning the On Light was off. Very unreliable and not worth it!
----
I don't know why this is called quiet. It is pretty noisy! Other than that, it works well. In 24 hours it typically fills 1/3 of the reservoir in a bathroom without windows on the ground floor.

October 18, 2015
I have a few of these. One stopped working (green light blinking) and not sure why. The other works decently. The third will be arriving shortly to replace the broken one. These work it seems but the reliability is sketchy at this point. They do collect water and are whisper quiet. Will update my review if I can figure out why the one stopped working and the green light is blinking.
**update...not sure why it stopped working but the others are working like champs. Occasionally one of the motors make a noise but if I re-seat the dehumidifier on the counter the noise stops
Finally kicked the bucket.
March 4, 2012
I bought this from Amazon in June 2010 for use in our only shower-room in the house to aid in drying the room out between showers. I was a bit wary due to reviews I had read about the short life of this unit, but our bathroom is very small and narrow so a larger unit just wouldn't have worked. I have been waiting to write a review to see how long this thing lasted. Based on others reviews I wasn't expecting it to last too much longer than a year. Well, I pretty much got what I expected.

This unit worked very well for about the first year. I was emptying the unit about ever 2 to 3 days. Slowly it started filling up the tank slower and slower. It also started out fairly quiet. Our bath connects to our bedroom and we leave the door open most of the time, but I couldn't hear it at first. After about a year the unit started to get a noticeably louder buzz to it. Especially for several minutes after we emptied the tank; it would buzz very loudly (about as loud as one of those handheld vacuums) and then it would settle down to a fainter buzz that was not too bothersome, but still much louder than when we first bought it. We had just passed the 1.5 year mark when the unit pretty much stopped working. It still makes noise and lot's of it, but the tank has stopped filling. I am giving this three stars because I really liked how small the unit is and it worked really well for the first year. However, I do think for the price tag the unit could last at least 2 to 3 times longer than this one did.

Now I am again in the market for a new humidifier. I think I will seriously look into other units or go without the dehumidifier altogether, before I would consider buying this one again.

Did Not Work As Effectively As I Thought It Would
August 25, 2017
I don't think this works as effectively as others have portrayed. I have seen the videos of people putting this in a safe or a closet and then coming back to show a reduction in humidity with a meter. I have tried it and it did not do anything. There's always the possibility that I got a dud but in my experience this did nothing. You are probably better off buying a mini powered dehumidifier.
Beads don't change color
September 2, 2016
The beads aren't changing color as shown. Also photos of the item I received don't appear to match the item shown on the homepage. I've had the unit plugged in for the recommended 10-12 hours but beads are still showing multiple colors.
Moisture indication could be clearer
December 18, 2015
This is an odd one for me. I keep one of these in my safe and I've had no problems with humidity. The trouble is I can't begin to match up the visible crystals with the color scale on the front. To my eyes the crystals always look a shade of boring beige. If I had to go by the color I wouldn't have any idea where things stood with regard to moisture. As it is I just go through the drying process about once a month and let it go at that. Also, it does get hot enough when plugged in that I wouldn't want to leave it unattended for, say, an 8 hour day at work.
Simple and not so sure it's effective!
July 24, 2015
This renewable mini dehumidifier is simple, cheap and effective. I purchased these to sit in a closet and soap drying drawer and they have proved to be very effective here in the tropics. They are simple to use- when the indicator turns completely pink just plug it in an outside socket to release the collected moisture and then return to area you wish to keep dry.Update:After using this for one month- the colors originally changed but after a couple of weeks quit, even after plugging in and supposedly releasing moisture. The cabinet does not seem to be getting any dryer!
find something else
June 12, 2015
I bought one of these and a like one from another maker and placed them in a 10 gun wooden cabinet. I have hydrometers inside and I cannot see that there is any difference between the outside of the cabinet and the inside. I was expecting somewhat of a drop in the relative humidity within such an enclosed space. They do absorb some moisture because I have had to refresh them but obviously not enough to be worth the expense.
Waited too long for results, never got them, missed the return period
September 5, 2013
I have a very small studio apt and thought this would be a good way to keep the moisture down. It took about 2 weeks for the little beads to go from blue (dry) to pink (wet) and when I plugged it in to discharge, it gets hot like it says, but takes almost a full 24 hours to competently dry up. And even then, it doesn't get fully dry like it was new, its just gets somewhat dry. After putting it back, it turned pink again within a few days. And then another full day to discharge it. It seems like the more I use it (only a few times) the less it holds, like its worn out or something. I kinda gave up using this thing, I spend more time plugging it near the window to discharge, its not worth all the effort and electricity for the little benefit it provided. Maybe it would be good for a very small space like a tight closet, but not anything larger.

can't even do a closed bathroom, let alone the 1100sqft it claims!
August 20, 2017
looks great and quiet but, hmm it has been 5 days and the water level is not even a half inch high yet! i have it in regular size upstairs bathroom that has moisture issues that has caused mildew stains on walls and doors and now started to grow mold on back shower wall. i know there is plenty of moisture for this thing to suck up during & after our daily hot showers but, nope it has chosen to only suck it up at a snail pace, leaving plenty of time for moisture in air to continue doing its damage. getting returned!
Nope
October 1, 2016
Upon using this in our 200sq ft RV to help with condensation it has not helped at all. I read reviews prior to purchase that were used in a larger RV or space and they have this item good reviews now I question the validity of those reviews. Of you purchase this item be sure out is for a very small space such as a bathroom.
Junk that can't keep up.

I bought this some years ago for a bathroom with no ventilation. While it did collect water it was no where near powerful enough to keep mold at bay.

After a short while the motor started making a lot of noise and I would have the whack the unit until the fan popped back into place. Cheaply made.

Save the outrageous $45 and put it toward the Frigidaire dehumidifying unit bad boys. They are more cumbersome but they actually work!
Not the best product in my opinion

Not the best product in my opinion. Ok, here is what it does do. It does remove moisture from the air and is very quiet. I gave it 2 stars because it is only good for a small closet. It will not dehumidify a room. I live in Florida and like my humidity level to be around 48-50% for my comfort. I placed this in my bathroom which has poor circulation and retains moisture and there was no change in the humidity after running it for a whole day. I started the unit and my hygrometer read 59% the next morning it read 59% no change. There was about a capful of water in the tank but it was obvious to me this would not work. I think the issue is in the air flow, there is barely any air that come out of the vents. I will be returning this product.
you can buy a good humidity guage for about $10

I bought an Eva Dry Dehumidifier, Model: EDU-1100 for storing my RV (travel trailer with less than 650 cubic feet interior). It removed about 1 cup of water each 24 hours, but that is not the whole story. On numerous checkings, I found that it lowered the humidity only about 3 percentage points, compared to the outdoors humidity. For example, when the outdoors humidity was 75%, it was lowered to 72% inside the RV. 72% is not an acceptable level of humidity. Next, I tried it on a trip. With 2 of us sleeping inside, the windows were steamy on the inside when we got up in the morning and the inside humidity was 76%. Back home, I put my Frigidaire condenser type dehumidifier inside the RV for 18 hours and found 4 cups of water. Condenser type dehumidifiers cost more, produce more heat and noise, and use more electricity, but they remove much more water. If the noise bothers you, just run it when you are not trying to sleep. By the way, you can buy a good humidity guage for about $10, to see what's really happening. You may find Eva Dry-1100 is adequate for a small closet, but nothing much bigger. If you are just trying to save money, don't waste it on Eva-Dry-1100 for an RV.

Very disappointed.

I wanted this for my bearded dragon tank because the humidity inside it has been going up now that we are going into fall and have the A/C turned off. This has done absolutely nothing to help. Very disappointed.
Total waste...do zero!

These do nothing. Mine turns green (wet) when I dry it out by plugging in and turns yellow (dry) when soaked with moisture. I have this in a very humid refrigerator, and the color has never changed...always yellow (dry). These are a waste.
Exteremly HOT

I bought two of these and will never buy one again. These things get extremely HOT. Not just warm, HOT.When I removed these from the outlet (wall socket) it was so hot I am surprised that it didn't start a fire. If only one was like this I would just assume it was a bad one, but when both are the same, then these seem pretty dangerous to me.They are both going in the trash.I would Not recommend these to a friend !!

Didn't seem to do anything for me. It gets extremely hot when "recharging" though which I know is normal but also worries that it will explode one day I'm not home.

Does not work. At all.

I've had this unit plugged in and turned on for three days straight and there is not a single drop of water in the tank. Not less than I was expecting, it is totally dry. It was in the unfinished storage portion of our basement. I've used other units that consistently pulled moisture out of the air, so its not that its just a super dry room. Not sure what the issue is with this unit, but back it goes.
Not Up To The Task
September 26, 2016
I bought this for our little 21" trailer that we keep in storage in our yard. Even though the trailer is small and very tight, (under 150 square feet, molded fiberglass, double-pane windows, extra spray-foam insulation, etc.), this little dehumidifier doesn't knock down the humidity one bit. I run it 24 hours a day but it just isn't up to the task. It might work for my gun safe, but not for anything much larger or not completely sealed to the environment.
Think twice before you get this. Capability of water removing is very limited

This device is not effective in dehumidifying. I could turn on this device whole night and the humidity delta would be at most couple percent. In the description it claims that it can remove up to 1100 cubic feet. I think it's extremely misleading mention only the the coverage (it's not even coverage in sqft!) and not mention water removal capability anywhere. If you are planning to use it in a very small room and not so damped area, this dehumidifier might work. But this is definitely not for a normal bedroom in humid weather.
I am very disappointed in this product and wouldn't recommend it

We bought this for our master bathroom to help with the humidity that led to mold.
When we first bought & received this, towards the end of the summer 2014, it worked well. Somewhere between 1 and 2 months of use however, it just didn't collect water anymore. This was the same time the weather got cooler and dryer here in Maryland. I thought maybe the air was dryer and it wasn't the Dehumidifier fault. When I started to use it again this past month (May 2015), I realized it is the Dehumidifier. The air is very humid but the extra moisture is not being collected in it.
I am very disappointed in this product and wouldn't recommend it. I appreciate products that do what they say they are going to do as well as last. A dehumidifier is not a disposable product.
Not enough power
August 10, 2012
I have a basement room that is 9 x 9, a perfect size for this supposedly. The temperature is always about 70 and the humidity is around 65%. This unit does pull a small amount of water out, but not enough to ever lower the humidity on the gauge. My guess is the tiny bit of fresh air from under the door is enough to equalize any moisture this unit removes. I was hoping to at least lower it a few points! I like that it's quiet but I wish the fan was adjustable, it seems like it would work better with a little bit stronger fan. I also think it would work better in a warmer room so there would be a greater temp difference for the unit to work with.

Update: Two died within days of each other after 5 months. They make you pay for shipping, not sure it's worth my time to even bother if they are going to fail every six months...
