Five Star Reviews: | 90% Perfect For Complicated Embossed Cookie Cutters October 25, 2017 Around Christmas, this bizarre mania overtakes me. I become a baking fiend, specializing in very elaborate, cut-out cookies, particularly the type with embossing. These are difficult to cut out, because of all the internal shapes, which means that the cutters don't release the dough, so it gets stuck in the nooks and crannies. The silicone baking mat is perfect for them. You roll out the dough, using no flour whatsoever. Then you cut, cut and cut your cookie shapes. The cutter comes up with no dough in it, because the mat acts like glue, holding the dough to its surface. Then you remove the excess dough from around the cut cookies, put the mat on a cookie sheet and put the whole thing in the oven. Easy peasy. A wonderful invention. I really like these June 9, 2017 I like these as they are easier to clean than cookie sheets, and storing them in a drawer is pretty cool... They take some getting used to, you recipe books won't tell you how to use them.... A couple of Google searches and you will figure out... Get some silicone pot holders to go with them, no slips, no burns... Great product... Full size ones are still pricey Great, reusable mats. No problems after a couple months of use May 20, 2017 I don't bake stuff too often, but when I do, it's really nice to have these around. They stay flat unlike most rolled up parchment paper, and they're easily reusable. Had them for a couple months, and haven't had any issues with them. Great product at a great price! May 2, 2017 I purchased these to replace several older silicon mats that had been abused over the years (kids cutting their pizza on it, edges starting to fray, etc.) These arrived on time, at a good price, and I learned that a Half Sheet size is still a tad large for the baking sheets I have. This is not an issue with the product ordered, just with the baking sheets I have. So now I'm searching for 'true half sheet' baking pans! In summary, product works as advertised, good price, fast shipping. I might order these for Christmas presents for several baking friends! Very good product April 22, 2017 The liners fit perfectly in my 1/2 sheet pan. They do not slip as parchment does at times. I bake cookies and use a lot of parchment. This will replace the expensive parchment and still give me cookies that do not stick to the pan. I really like these and will order more!! Perfect!!! April 5, 2017 These are amazing! I washed them in cool soapy water, dried them & made cookies 10 min after they were delivered. None of the cookies stuck & my brand new cookie sheets still look brand new just the way I like them! September 18, 2016 All you have to do is lay this liner on a cookie sheet, place the food on top of the little silicone studs and Voila! Food cooks while all the fat drips into the little nooks made by the raised studs. You can actually see all the grease pooling under your food. It doesn't change the odor of the food and is specially good for breaded items like chicken and such because the coating crisps really well without absorbing the fat otherwise it would end up in your food. The only con is the cleaning part because the grease seems to want to stay in it. I did manage to clean it thoroughly with Dawn. I suggest that the seller should post tips for cleaning or send a little paper with cleaning tips in the order. It doesn't cost much but it will be very appreciated by the cook. Nice silicone mats for baking August 6, 2016 I grew weary of frying bacon and then "cleaning the kitchen" afterward.This elevates food off the "sheet pan/baking sheet" (which I cover with foil just to make cleanup easier)and it does a great job. I've noticed 2 things in the "negative comments" which I'll address:"They smell when they're in the oven". Hmmmm. First, did you wash them thoroughly and dry them? Not knowingwho handled them, precautionarily I washed them prior to use. I placed them on a foil lined baking sheet and put themin the oven, at 400* without anything on them, to see how they "smelled". They smelled like new silicon for the first time in the oven.Next, I baked a full pound of bacon at 400*. Took about 20 minutes, but I DID have to flip the bacon over, no big deal for me there."They're so difficult to clean". Again, Hmmmmmm. I rinsed mine off under running hot water, then put them in a dishpan half filled with soapy water to soak for about 30 minutes, then took a stiff bristled brush to them, and besides "a few spots remaining", they looked likethey had never been used. And I cooked some "brown sugar maple bacon" and again, the cleaning wasn't a "chore" like some havecomplained about.I'd like to try some packaged frozen fries on this, and once I do, I'll update it with my findings. Overall, I'd recommend it for "oven cooking ofnormally fried foods"........... Great product March 20, 2016 Very good and works well. People complain about it being hard to clean. I don't know what they are doing but i had no problem. Worse case if is a bit caked on, soak it in hot water and Oxy clean for a few minutes and everything fall right off. It's true: no sticking! January 21, 2016 I bought this to bake my pepperoni rolls on. I was tired of the rolls sitting in the oils that always ooze out (no matter how nicely I close the edges). Although the dough expanded and filled in around the pointy bottom, it was better than the rolls sitting on the bottom of a flat baking sheet.I actually wish the baking mat were less flexible. It was pretty wiggly trying to maneuver it. It's impossible without a baking sheet under it. My biggest baking sheets don't have little sides on them and I was afraid that the oils oozing out of the rolls would spill over the baking sheet so I had to get creative with aluminum foil.I'm still giving it five stars (none of the above issues I had were the mat's fault). It performed perfectly in the oven, with absolutely no sticking. Clean up was also a breeze. Works Well! October 26, 2015 This mat works very well in my toaster oven. I cut it to size and use it to make frozen french fries so I don't have to turn on the stove and heat up the house too much. I don't spray it with anything, just put the fries on it and bake them for 20 minutes. It has been no problem to clean up. Terrific product! Cut round piece March 30, 2015 Terrific product! Cut round piece, put in aluminum baking pan and use in portable Halogen Oven. Avoids turning food over-fan blows air on top and bottom. Cleans easily. Have used for years and very pleased that available from Amazon. |

Four Star Reviews: | 7% Easy clean up July 25, 2017 For the most part I love these. My main pro is the easy clean up. Biggest con is that everything outside of cooking clings to them. (i.e. pet hair and crumbs) I have to wipe them down with a damp cloth before each use, that doesn't stop me from using them though. So far so good. I bought these to use as liners in ... June 27, 2017 So far so good. I bought these to use as liners in place of parchment paper. After a few uses, I am happy with the results including the ease in washing. Ask me later if they hold up after repeated use. Non stick. Left some weird taste on my food. June 12, 2017 When using them (180F oven) to dry some fruit leather, it left some funky tastes on my food, though I read on another review(s) that it goes away. Not sure how poisonous that was but I didn't want to chance it so I threw the food out. I'll try again and let you guys know. Interesting product. May 14, 2017 Who knew? I wasn't sure what I'd do with them, but everything we bake goes on one of these. Sure makes cleanup a snap. Nothing sticks, however a little extra tlc for getting grease off them. Clearly a timesaver for us. YMMV. Another item to clean but they work! May 11, 2017 These are super slick and easy to clean with soap and water. Baked fish on it and the fish just slides off to serve! They don't fit a standard baking pan very well though. The length is a little short and the width over laps the corners. Most of the grease dropped down in the grooves. Good purchase October 18, 2016 When I first opened this, it had a strong chemical smell, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I aired it out on my window sill and eventually it went away. As far as the function goes, it works great. I used this on a pan to make chicken and was pleasantly surprised to find how it browned on both sides. Clean up was so much easier too. Definitely worth purchasing. Works for me February 17, 2016 I have used my mat for frozen foods like breaded fish and fries, and it is nice to get rid of the oil the food would be sitting in. No problems with cleanup so far, no odor from the mat. This product came directly from China in a clear plastic bag with no directions or product information whatsoever. If you have concerns about material safety, buyer beware. Works well and grease drains off food November 30, 2015 I use it when I bake something greasy. It allows the grease to stay off the food. it also works fantastic with tator tots! Allows the heat in the oven to evenly bake them on all sides without stirring. this is great. chicken was crispy November 21, 2015 this is great. chicken was crispy, like pan frying. I had trouble cleaning it, so I put it in the dishwasher and it came out very clean. I has used it for baking. the baked goods are crispy on the bottom, but not burnt. |

February 28, 2017 This is made in China and NOT as thick as it seems. I say that because it should give you a basic idea as to what kind of quality to expect. It arrived poking out of the original box and was stuck to the inside. I'm sure due to the fact that it's silicone but the inside of the box was made from a semi slick cardboard with plastic windows instead of a cheaper rough cardboard texture. Makes for a perfect storm. After tearing at the box for awhile I got a pair of kid scissors...the kind that shouldn't cut clothes or hair. I thought I was being careful to stay away from the mat but it turns out they weren't rolled up very neat and those kid scissors cut right through the end of one of the mats without me even knowing it. Now I have a chunk missing out of one of them. I'm not even sure if it's usable at this point. I have yet to try them in the oven but based on my experience with how sticky the silicone is (aka non-pourous, very smooth), I'm assuming they will be very good for their intended use. I was hoping for a thicker mat as advertised and I am extremely disappointed that I received an opened and handled product. Not good for macarons... February 13, 2017 If you are buying these to make macarons, don't. Save your time, money, and frustration and just splurge on the silpats. I thought that it was my macaron recipe that needed altered, but the problem was these silicon mats. For any other cookie they will be fine... which Is why I gave 3 stars... but for macarons they do not work. The silpat, on the other hand, has made a world of difference with my macaron baking. I don't believe they are. cleaning nightmare May 1, 2016 When I purchased this, it didn't come with the hand held mixer, I just purchased the mat. The first (and so far last) time I used this mat, I cooked chicken on it. The chicken turned out very well but this thing was really a pain to clean. I don't use a dishwasher so I wiped it off as much as I could before I washed the mat. It still looked dirty so I put the mat back in the oven to dry up the food left on it as much as possible and I washed it again. That helped but it isn't worth going through all that. One of the 2 mats started to fall apart after the 2nd use. Not certain the cause as it was always used in an over under 500 degrees and was dishwasher washed on the upper rack specifically made for plastic items. The 2nd mat appears to be doing okay although I can see a little discoloration so am uncertain what this will result in. Have used this 3 times.. It does do what it says as to output of food. |

Two Star Reviews: | 1% No good - consider an alternative choice August 10, 2017 Used it twice and the second time the veggies stuck to the mat and it was difficult to clean. Also, the coating is coming off the mesh. Never had heat above 400 degrees. I'll try the second one, but the first one will not be used again. They don't look and feel like the silicon baking sheets I have checked from brand-name ... May 15, 2017 They don't look and feel like the silicon baking sheets I have checked from brand-name specialty kitchenware store. I have other silicon utensils that I have bought from Costso, these definitely don't feel the same at all. Don't know if these are safe at all or might leak out any harmful chemical for human consumption. I haven't used them, afraid to.Can I return these? Can manufacturer please forward info and guarantee of any sort? Stained on first use June 23, 2016 It stained on it first use. I attempted to clean it like I do with my other silicone based products, but no luck. I would not recommend this product unless you don't care if it stains. Poor Quality Control May 27, 2016 On first glance, these seemed a much better deal than the overpriced Silpat sheets, two of which I have been using for at least 15 years, perhaps 20. Unfortunately, upon close inspection, one mat had a row of voids in the top surface, exposing the mesh. Another had some fuzzy stuff imbedded in the top surface and partially exposed. One of them seemed OK. Clearly the maker has poor QC. I returned them. | 7% Lots of smoke and plastic odor October 13, 2016 As other reviewers have noted, this thing produces a very obnoxious odor accompanied by a fair amount of smoke when you first use it. Expecting this, I washed/rinsed it well with soap and water before putting it in a 350F oven and within 10 minutes my whole first floor smelled like burnt plastic. I left it in the oven (with no food, just the mat) for about an hour, then took it out and rewashed it.After that first run I wanted to test whether the product was finished outgassing before I used it to cook, so I preheated the oven with the mat in it before using it. It didn't produce any smoke or odor, so now I am able to use it without a problem. Even still, I wish I'd gotten a different one made from better material than this. It was much thinner than I had anticipated, and the smell was a major turn-off. If you're weary of cooking on something that smokes and stinks like plastic the first time you heat it to cooking temperature, don't buy this. Stick with what works... August 30, 2016 I was unimpressed with this but feel like maybe mine wasn't "authentic". Non stick: Yes. Silicone: yes. Healthy: um... It smoked up my oven when I tried to use it, and I only baked at 350. Also even though there is no way to calculate this accurately, it greatly increased my cooking time, so my chicken was very done on the outside but some bits were not fully cooked on the inside. I had to throw that meal away. I'd say crinkle foil or use metal racks, stick with what works for baking. A pain to clean!! August 7, 2016 So disappointed. I have a silicone muffin "tin" and I love it. Nothing sticks and it is super easy to clean. When I read the description for this it said that one side was flat, it didn't look like that in the picture but it was the description from the manufacturer and I was using the Amazon app on my phone and just didn't look closely enough at it. Regardless of what side you cook on, there are so many crevices it it the biggest pain to clean. I wash it, then put it in the dishwasher, then have to wash it again, then take a paper towel to get what was still left behind. I did like that the bacon cooked out of the grease which is why I gave it two starrs instead on one, but I probably won't use it often if ever again..and if I do, the thing I cook will not be greasy or fatty. Really I was hoping to use this for cookies and such but that just is not going to work out. Disappointed in the quality of this item March 11, 2016 This was a disappointing purchase, even for the price. No cookbook was shipped, which was a bit misleading given the product title. Apparently the cookbook is an "ebook" and there are no instructions on how to obtain it, which was not made clear when I purchased it. There is no information included with the mat at all (I was expecting at least care and cleaning instructions...). The silicon itself is much thinner than expected. It does not provide support for heavier food items to keep them elevated, negating most of the benefits of the shape of the baking mat as the peaks squish flat. The product arrived with what appeared to be some kind of chemical or oil on it, perhaps left over from the manufacturing process and needed a thorough cleaning before its first use. Flimsy product, bait-and-switch fulfillment January 4, 2016 Flimsy, and the little cells turn inside out very easily.Although I ordered a Prime product, it was fulfilled directly from China and took a month. (This isn't the first time that clicking to purchase one thing has resulted in a different thing being in my cart, I'm afraid.) It also wasn't well-packaged. One Star Reviews: | 1% Flimsy September 3, 2017 I am very disappointed in this product. It is a fiber that is coated with some sort of plastic or other hard coating so that it looks very much like a screen. After only one use, and no sharp utensils, I had a worn spot on one side where the hard coating had come off and the fiber was exposed. After two uses, there is now a hole. I will be looking for a replacement mesh likely made of perforated metal. Don't waste your August 25, 2017 After the first use, the edges were curling up due to the heat. Second use, part of it was burned off. Don't waste your money I was disappointed at the quality of this product July 23, 2017 I was disappointed at the quality of this product. One showed white thread coming through the mesh and one had messed up edging around it. Unfortunately I threw away all the packaging so can't return them. One of them was ok. I am very disappointed with this product July 17, 2017 I am very disappointed with this product. I had a terrible experience with this. I used it on a propane gas grill. This is not my first time to grill. See pictures what I mean. One mesh with White area got burned and made a whole. It flared up while chicken thighs are being grilled.
