The handle rusted a little after a few months but this is still working and adds a little blue light to my patio!
Powerful beats, bugs beware. Need accessories.
December 21, 2015
This is an amazingly sturdy (and quite big) unit that does what it advertises well, with the right setup.

You have to buy an extension cord and a dual/dawn timer - otherwise this product is not going to be as good. Why? The cord it comes with is short, so good luck using it. Two, without the timer, you'll have to either have it on at all times (electricity waster) or remember to turn T on everyday (unlikely). You also need something to elevate it. All of these you can get on Amazon for cheap.

One minor complain - have had this out in the rain and it had not short circuited yet. But I wish there were some way to make it weather proof so j never need to worry about it, but maybe that is asking for too much!
Perfect bug zapper lets you draw bugs AWAY from the house.
October 6, 2015
This is great. I spiked it to the ground in the wood line and left it alone.
Not having to plug it in keeps tacky looking zappers from dangling off of the house and makes sure that out aren't drawing bugs toward you.

This thing is always lit up all night and seems to be doing its job nicely.

I definitely recommend.
The NK63 solar powered bug zapper is giving me mosquito-free outdoor living.
August 4, 2015
NK63 Solar-Powered UV Bug Zapper provides very good customer service and was very responsive. I recently received the new improved NK63 solar powered UV bug zapper and so far, my backyard has been mosquito free. It seems that this year's model is more powerful and effective than a previous one I had. It has been a lifestyle changer for me because this summer I am spending much more time in my backyard, whereas last year, once the sun went down, I was being bitten up by mosquitos. It's especially important to me because of the Zika threat. So far, I am pleased with the product.
Poor mosquitoes, didn't know what hit them!
June 14, 2015
I received the device promptly, but in a state of unintended disassembly. The delivery guys can be a little rough with packages but not to worry. I had fun putting it back together and it worked like a charm. Those poor mosquitoes, they didn't know what hit them! There has been a noticeable drop in the pest population. That little brush helps keep it clean. I live in Arizona and solar devices work well here. Family and friends are waiting for my test period and have expressed interest in it. The device is a good idea but you might want to get better packaging for delivery. The five stars are for the device alone, I didn't feel like I should penalize it but I have to give the packaging a one star. I'm certain that other people might not be similarly amused as I was assembling it.

i LOVE this zapper
January 27, 2017
i LOVE this zapper! I can't tell you how many times mosquitoes fly by my ear at night depriving me of my sleep. the size of the net is perfect and i love that you can adjust the length to reach high places. i've caught 3 mosquitoes already on the FIRST try. It would take me at least 4 or 5 tries to catch them with a regular fly swatter.
Zap bugs - No mess!
December 14, 2016
I bought one of these zappers for myself awhile ago to take along in our RV, since we never know how 'buggy' our various destinations will be. Well, it worked great and saved my ceilings and walls from getting bug guts all over. Well, my 3 adult sons had such a great time with it around our house, I decided that the zapper would make a good Xmas present for them.
Prepare to cackle maniacally
October 11, 2016
My husband and I have been sadistically enacting revenge on the bazillion fruit flies that have invaded our apartment. I ordered the Pestshield tennis-racket-style zapper PestShield Insect Killer Bug Zapper Racket Best for Pest Control and Zapping a Large Group of Insects with Just One Swing. and it would only get 1 out of 6 gnats/fruit flies. For $6 less (at the time of this posting, anyway), you should definitely get this zapper. Happy hunting!
Stuns roaches
September 9, 2016
Love this bug zapper. I try not to bend it a lot so it will stay straight. Note that the voltage is not strong enough to kill full grown adult roaches. It'll stun them, but don't be fooled!! They're definitely still alive, and you'll need to flush or smush them. If this zapper ever breaks, I'm going to immediately order a new one. I've gotten rid of so many insects and spiders with it.
I just bought this thing to try to combat a terrible fruit fly infestation throughout my house
October 5, 2015
Fruit fly annihilator. I just bought this thing to try to combat a terrible fruit fly infestation throughout my house. I got tired of constantly swatting at and missing the small and very fast fruit flies and purchased the Dynazap. Problem solved. This works incredibly well for even the smallest of bugs. I was a bit surprised how large the racket was but it makes it that much easier to kill bugs with. Its about the size of a racquetball racket not a fly swatter but that's not really a demerit just an observation. This thing gets 5 starts until it breaks. Love it!

August 23, 2015
This is awesome and seems like it has a stronger shock to it than the other ones I have tried.. It doesn't kill the big roaches immediately, but if you hold it on there and let it sizzle for a minute, they will be either dead or shocked long enough for them to be knocked out for a bit, long enough to get rid of them.. They kill decent size spiders, not sure about really big ones, don't want to know.. LOL. This thing kills gnats, flies, those little annoying moths, everything you need it to, definitely worth the money.. I have had it for about a month now and using it regularly and it still has a great shock to it!

I love that it is solar
May 12, 2017
I love that it is solar, and that it actually works. I love that it holds a charge for quite awhile. Another solar one that I bought only held a charge for 3 hours, and only killed 1 bug over 4 days.

Works great. Convenient
June 29, 2016
Works great. Convenient, I can power it by charging thru direct sunlight for solar power or plug in an outlet to recharge. Which allows me to move and use it in several places even in locaitons where there is no outlet. Just wish that the openings were a little wider to kill the larger bugs, mosquitos.
I would recommend
August 4, 2015
I was amazed at how many bugs It killed, you definitely need to clean it once a week. I made sure to give it a full charge with the adapter before setting it out so that it would start with a full battery, and it's been working every night off solar power ever since. I will probably use this year round, and just turn on the led light function during winter. Does not have a large coverage area unless hung up at least 8 feet or more, and if you had a large patio/deck it would probably be best to put one on both end. Mine is above the front door on a small house in the mountains, and does just fine
Glad I purchased this
July 26, 2015
This is a nice addition to my backyard. Very easy to use. For charging it you can set it out in the sun or, if it's a cloudy day, you can plug it in. It is very light weight yet sturdy making it easy to transport for camping or any other evening outdoor activities. Previous zappers required ugly extension cords for power. Not this one. For cleaning, the bottom twists off and there is a little brush in there. Also like that it is a lantern as well. The LED lights are bright cool white. I've only recently started using it so will update my review after I've seen it in action for awhile.

July 11, 2016
Great product. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because I have to remember how to hold it. If going for something on the floor or wall, it can be tricky. But, that is a VERY small issue. I feel powerful taking back control in my home!!
Couple of 6in pieces made the zapper less creaky and better to hold
June 12, 2016
Just zapped my 3rd bug... Little bugger!! It tried to get away and the zapper just fit the corner perfectly. I had reservations at first site, very much plasticky look and feel. As I have found out it is very efficient and effective in big bugs, I zapped a huge black beetle and small ones,I swung at a nat in jest, and dead he fell on my white shirt... I have wrapped part of the handle in duct and electrical tape just. Couple of 6in pieces made the zapper less creaky and better to hold.
Still working!
January 28, 2015
This zapper is much better than the Executor I had (which has since gone kaput). Zaps smaller insects with its smaller wire mesh openings. The 3 critiques I have is, #1 you need to unscrew the battery compartment (awkward when you can't find a screw driver) #2 the racquet part is hinged to the handle. It flicks backward if you swing too hard. #3 it has a telescopic handle and can be folded up but when you hold it vertically to the ceiling to get the bug the handle sometimes slide a little. perhaps a locking mechanism can be installed by the manufacturer for an improved model? This zapper is still working great for me. If it breaks, I will buy it again
One of the Best Inventions of Our Time
July 30, 2014
Generates a very satisfying snapping sound when applied to your prey. Brings an element of fun to an otherwise unpleasant task. Knowing this makes me cringe a little less whenever I spot an evil cockroach creeping its way across my property. The only reason it doesn't get a full 5 stars, is because the technology can still be improved. Despite the brilliant and audible sparks, it seems to stun most insects more so than outright killing them. You can either zap them repeatedly, which makes for a foul odor, or you have to resort to more conventional follow up crushing actions to finish them off. It would be ideal if this unit also came with a long handled tweezer like accessory for picking up "used bugs" for transporting them to their final destination and finishing them off.
seems to work
September 18, 2013
Don't think of this as a fly swatter type, bigger, heavier, bulkier, but it does work. Well it works so well, I used it once on a bee that kept buzzing around me on the deck, put him down quick, but now every time a bug or mosquito is buzzing around and I pick this up, by the time I pick it up and turn on, all bugs are gone where before they kept buzzing and buzzing around or if a mosquito would hang around till they get there taste of me, so either way it works, I keep it laying on the deck coffee table, also good for spider webs that my wife keeps complaining about

July 26, 2016
Not bright enough to attract any bugs. And I keep it plugged in.
Nice lantern, but useless against fruit flies
December 17, 2015
As a solar-powered camping lantern, it's great, with a good amount of light. However, as a bug zapper, it is just about useless. I left it on in bug zapper mode in my kitchen (powered by the AC adapter) for two weeks after the fruit flies discovered the fruit basket in my kitchen. Despite being left on 24x7 in a part of the kitchen where the fruit flies liked to congregate, it killed only 5 flies in a month. Recommended as a lantern, but not as a bug zapper.
... because they were solar and the lantern feature is great. However the bug zapper seldom works
October 22, 2015
We bought these because they were solar and the lantern feature is great. However the bug zapper seldom works. We liked the size but were disappointed it did nothing for our bug problems in our yard. So we now use it mainly for the lantern which is nice and bright.
Kinda flimsy

Kinda flimsy and poorly made. We used it once and not it will most likely sit in the corner collecting dust... I was hoping for something better quality....

Lacking Quality Control
June 19, 2016
I ordered two zappers and one of them will not hold in the extended position. Good idea, but poor design and quality control. I haven't even removed them from their packaging.
Effective but annoying to use.
December 10, 2013
The mechanism that folds the racket part up and down bends every time I swat at something. Makes it really annoying to use. That being said, every time I get something I feel like Godzilla and it does kill everything it comes into contact with. Be careful not to get yourself (I zapped my finger pretty good... on purpose of course).

I would not call it a bug zapper so much as I would call it a Solar-Powered Hanging Blue-Light Yard Decoration.
It does not attract or kill any bugs - but it looks kind of nice. If you are trying to control the bugs in the yard, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
Received an already open box, already dissatisfied
April 26, 2016
Received already open box with bugs dead in the unit. Already dissatisfied as this is a $50 unit. Also no user manual was included. I have it plugged in and charging (hoping it works) if it does, rating will stay the same. If it doesn't, rating will go down and another bad review will be posted.
RETURNED!!
December 13, 2015
Did not work as advertised. Before first use I fully charged it with the included AC power supply charger. That night used the bug light/killer feature and it lasted about 8 hours. For the next two days the unit solar panels were in the direct Hawaii intense sunlight all day. Both of those nights it didn't even last 3 hours.

April 25, 2016
The head flips when you swat at any insect. I think it was a good idea that was poorly engineered
A bit big and wobbly. Not good for corners
December 4, 2015
Since it has adjustable parts it's wobbly - even when you lock into a position it wobbles around. It's too big to get anything in a corner or within a few inches of a corner, so you can mostly just get things that fly or things that are standing still in the middle of a wall.
Meh...design detracts from function!
July 21, 2014
I previously purchased a fixed head (less expensive version of insect zappers - that looked like a little tennis racquet). The 'features' on this design are overkill and actually detract from its function. It kills the insects just fine, but if you swing too vigorously, the head flaps over and you are out of business until you reach and flip it back up. Very frustrating. Extended - it is even worse.I won't go with this design again. I will stick with the fixed head inexpensive version!

Don't Get Zapped.
June 21, 2016
Poorly designed experience. Returned it. 50 dollar product worth 0 dollars. If it was 20 dollars I wood have understood it's poor design better. Doesn't work during the day. Too small & weak. Not luring enough insects.

Got a different 1 from Home Depot 4 20 dollars less. It has luring bulb that needs to b replaced every 30 days. Not solar-powered though but ok if works properly. I can normally trust Home Depot. Works during the day. Has a tray to clean bugs out of easier.

See what happens.

August 19, 2015
I bought this for far out in the yard and another standard good ole fashioned bug zapper that plugs into wall power. This thing did not attract or kill a single bug over 3 nights while the other one was working overtime. i put them near each other (so to make sure the solar power got a fair chance to kill) and it killed 1 while the other killed prob 200. the 1 prob unluckily got stuck is my guess. i have read the instructions and tried everything but it doesnt attract bugs. it does light up at night though (and yes i had it set to kill and not just light.)
Not operating properly out of the box.
June 22, 2015
Just got this product - charged it up and found that it would not operate unless I flipped it over upside down - not ideal!
I'll keep a bit longer to see if it gets straightened out - if not then I'll return it and chalk it up as a dud.
