While it is very small, it is very bright. Worked great for my Halloween party! Item was as expected, very disorientating which was why I got it. Paired nicely with the fog machine to add the desired effect. I used it outdoors and the light seemed to go quite further then expected

SMALL BUT POWERFUL!!!!WHEN I GOT THIS I THOUGHT...OH DEAR!...THIS IS TOO SMALL TO BE WHAT I WANT. BUT....NOPE! :DTHIS LIL MACHINE REALLY CRANKS THE LIGHT!!!! WOW! AND IT'S SMALL AND EASY TO PLACE ANYWERE! I LOVE THIS!!!!

We purchased these for my inlaws to discourage a very large Owl (about 4' wing span) from spending time under their covered entry by the front door. Every morning this beautiful but annoying owl left a very large mark that needed to be scrubbed. We had tried tack strips but he didn't care. These lights were in-expensive and WORKED! But the bulbs in work lights and they spread out to some surrounding trees. He's in the area as he's been seen (we're keeping them going at night for awhile) but not landing. If you're looking for a fun party look-it will work for that as well.

This was beyond my expectation! Wow, two of these filled a room with so much light! I screwed one into an overhead ceiling fan light and the other into a portable desk lamp. They were just perfect! I would highly recommend these to anyone wanting to add a super cool lazer light/ disco ball effect to their party. I love how they turned without any issues!

Hey, I was having friends over so I ordered this on a whim. I have a recessed light over my dining area that this thing fit into and it's basically a mini, multi colored disco ball! For the price, it was a fun way to enjoy a get together. It fits all standard light fixtures, it's silent, and for the price was a cool find. Liked it so much I bought another one! There's a lot of other novelty lights that are more expensive, you can't go wrong with this one. I have only had mine about a week or so, I will update my review if it dies but so far so good!

These bulbs are amazing and versatile. A bit too large to put into some lamp bases with lampshades (the bulb is oversized and would need a wide and taller lampshade harp). But all in all a great product. I ordered several and have already given a few away to friends who REALLY liked them.

We bought this light for our tom cat who lives in a make shift bedroom off our kitchen. I built the room for him because he attacked our female cats and began spraying. We gave him to our daughters boyfriend, but they didn't make it so the cat came back. It the meantime the cat was put on Prozak and stopped spaying, but he does spend a lot of time alone and is a very sweet cat. We try to play with him at least two hours a day, but that is not always possibe. In comes the light. We installed it in his room because we read that cats love moving colored light. Boy does he, we turn it on right beefore bed time and leave it for about an hour. He sits on his post and is facinated by it. Best money spent on Amazon so far!

This little light is a party to go! Awesome colors, and to think it's so easy to install into almost any standard light bulb fixture or lamp. $13 is a good deal. Be advised, it does not work on light bulb fixtures with a dimmer, only on/off types. In the correct placement of this little party light, you can definitely light up the whole room. Used this for a NYE party. I'm very satisfied with it.

They are cheap, but work well, easy to adjust and are very bright, exactly what I needed!

This is a good strobe light for the price, but it's pretty small.This light will NOT fill a large space with light.If you need to fill a large space you will need a bigger light or two of these!

Can fill a moderate size room with strobe light. The frequency adjuster knob is a bit of a joke, it has very long strobe period for most of the knob's rotation, then goes very quickly through a couple discreet flash frequencies, before stopping on a very high frequency. It's cheap, light, all plastic, and decently bright, so I can't complain too much. I would have really liked it to have a switch though, it just turns on when you plug it in.

The strobe light works good and is light weight. The speed adjustment is rather limited. All in all a nice strobe light.

really bright for the size, it can easily light an entire medium sized room, it has a speed dial, overall it works great the only thing that it doesn't have is an on and off switch so using it as a DJ can be a little tricky, the only way to turn it on and off is to unplug it from the outlet

Purchased this for use on a halloween prop I was building. The strobe is compact enough to hide, but bright enough to light a good size room. There is no on/off switch, just plug or unplug. The dial for strobe speed is a little iffy on the one I received, and takes some work to get it just right. The mounting bracket is a little flimsy, and seems to be able to break easy, if you were a little rough with the unit. Overall, a great strobe. Materials could use an upgrade, but this would likely "upgrade" the price as well.

Used this for a small party, and it went over well. I will say that it doesn't take a huge light space from a shelf, or standing lamp, but if you can get it low to the ground, I feel it would have a larger light field. It worked like I needed it to work, so can't complain.

I bought 2 of these and they were fantastic. My guests all complimented on how they set the party mood. 4 stars because one of them had fallen apart by the morning. I suggest to tighten the end screw of the dome after every use to avoid it falling apart.

These were great disco lights! We used this under a portico for our wedding to give it a more festive dance feel. They worked as advertised! The reason I have it 4 starts instead of 5 was because 1) it has to be pretty dark for the LEDs to be truly visible and 2) when tried them at the rehearsal dinner the screw came loose from one of them and the plastic reflector piece fell and hit someone on the head. Just make sure the screw is tight and you're good to go. We turned them on at 7pm and ran them until 10pm with no problems.

I like it but... it is very fragile. I bought 2 of these to use at youth event but thats all they lasted. The lighting is amazing but the quality of material is cheap plastic. I accidentally bumped them as I was taking them down and they broke. If you are careful with them they are amazing all that being said the price is right that I will buy a couple more but I will be extra cautious this time around.

Some people who ordered this light stated that they received on that squeaks or makes a noise when it is on. I decided to order 2 in order to increase the odds that I would get one good one. Well, I received one that made a noise (rather loud) and one that was silent and worked perfectly. So I say it is a gamble. My son did take a part the squeaky one and put it back together and it still made a noise- but not as pronounced. We used the one that didn't make a noise for our birthday party and it does make a really cool pattern on the walls and ceiling.

Inexpensive, but fun.ConsFragileDoesn't provide great coverage. To get even 1/2 the room it has to be on the floor on on the ceiling in the center of the room. My only option is to put it light by the side of the room. So the coverage is a small fraction of the room. If I put it down on the floor I could get better coverage, but it would be taking up dancing space.The clear plastic dome will fall off if you are not very careful with it.While it's not perfect, it's so inexpensive, it's worth it.

works as expected, but the power cord is so short, it's ridiculous. It's also mostly if not entirely made of plastic. I guess for under $15 you can't ask for much more, but another 2-3 feet of cord would've been nice.

Not very strong. It was okay when we shined the strobe directly at something. And it did look cool when the fog machine would go off, but it probably would have been better if it was a little bit brighter.

Just got it today and it seems to work good. Speed adjustable rate is great. Reason I dropped 2 stars is because it is for indoor use only. No where in the description does it say that.

This is an excellent strobe light for the size. Don't expect too much, but on a dark night, it will illuminate a house porch, or inside, a medium sized room. The only warning I have is that I ordered it in October of 2014 for $19.99 which is a great price and now it is listed at over $30. Don't know why they raised the price, but avoid it until it is $19.99 again.I'll give it 3 stars for now, and will update to 5 stars if they price it again at $19.99.

I think you definitely get what you pay for. For a strobe effect, it does the job quite well. However, it only has a 3 ft. cord so its difficult to make a it reach an outlet without buying an extension cord. Also, there is no remote of any sorts, so if you mount it up high you have to break out the stool and get up there to plug in/unplug or adjust the speed. Oh, and there is no power switch. It's plugged in or it's not.

The price was cheap, so I thought I would give it a shot. It functions fine but it is always on so you will need a momentary switch unless you want it continually flashing, the cord is on the short side as well. I knew that before ordering so that was no surprise however I was hoping it would be brighter and more of a flash angle. The beam is very direct so unless you are looking straight on you kind of lose the strobe effect. It uses LED's like you would find in cheap flashlights, not like the newer generation of LED's, that with the lack of a diffusing lens kind of kills the useful ability of this light.

I had high expectations for this device. They have thus far not panned out. When I took the box out of the Amazon shipping box the bulb box fell apart.Perhaps it's not fair to judge a product based on the quality of the glue used to hold its box together yet I am concerned about the mid to long term viability of what seems to be a very delicate product.It's light output is limited and is far inferior to other devices in its price range I have seen elsewhere.Nevertheless it's a compact easy way to add some light "excitement" to a small space.Will update when it stops working which I am have a gut feeling may be soon.

You get what you pay for with this product. Its a cheaper material as well as build, easy to break as well as could easily spontaneously stop working. I got two of them. The one that was treated better still works about a year later. Cool designs that rotate!

This was a nice light while it lasted. It stopped working after 15 months. It was used for several hours a day two or three times a week while the kids played video games or hung out. Not bad for the price but I can't give it more stars due to the short life. LED's are supposed to last a long time so I believe it's the internal electronics.

Product is really neat when it works, but if you get one and it stops working within a week or two , don't expect any help from the seller. The reply to me, was to buy another one. I did and it's still working after a couple of weeks.

I thought this would change colors, but it's all the same 3 colors combined. The kaleidoscope feel is soothing and pretty, but it gets boring after a little while and would be nice if there were different modes. It only works facing straight down or straight up, since the dome part has to rotate freely on the center pin and if it's at an angle it gets stuck. But it was cheap and the kids like it ok.

I ordered 3 of these as gifts. Only 1 of the three rotated and we had to wait for that to warm up before it began rotating. We left the other two on for over a half an hour and they never started rotating. We will be returning those two. With that said, the one that did work was amazing! My 1.5 year old loves it and I will try an order more to see if those work.

This LED strobe has a much longer light pulse than a Xenon. It does not stop the blades of an overhead fan like a Xenon; they are blurry whereas with a Xenon strobe the blades are stopped in their tracks and are sharp.

The strobe frequency has really two settings slow and fast.

It works great except the solder for the speed control doesn't seem solid resulting in a strobe light that sometimes stops strobing.

Unit arrived in clearly used condition. The LED daughterboard was separated from the main pcb, floating around in the unit. Yay for easy returns!

Light is too weak to be useful as a strobe. Unit is simply underpowered. Unless you are using this in a very small, pitch black room, you will not see a strobe effect - and even then it's pretty weak.

Purchased this item and stashed away was an Easter basket gift. When we opened it and went to try it, it does not work at all. Tried screwing it into numerous standard switches (which it fits into fine), but it does nothing. Does not light up, nor turn. I can manually "force" it to light and turn by rotating the top plastic piece with my fingers, but otherwise it's useless. Went to return it to Amazon, and it was over the "30 day return period". Can't find any way to contact the company for support. Seems it is money wasted.

falls apart with one use

With so many 5 star reviews, I was expecting more. These are very poor quality!They aren't very bright, and the motor didn't even last a month...

This worked great last year, but this year not at all. I stored it in the house after the holidays and still it doesn't work. Very disappointing!

Nice idea, but very low-powered, certainly not enough to deliver a "party atmosphere." Does not light up an entire room, as other reviews state. Maybe there's more than one model out there - don't know how else to explain the positive reviews.

A fun light that really adds a festive disco feel to any room. It's great that it fits into any normal socket and provides plenty of party lighting. Unfortunately the motor that controls the spinning stopped working after only 2 months. Bear in mind this bulb itself was only used a handful of times for parties, so probably a total of 4-6 uses. My experience might be atypical, but I'm quite disappointed in the product nonetheless.

I almost never write reviews but this product worked for like 3 hours and never again. Purchased for this Halloween and now it’s broke and replacement won’t be here until late November.

1st one that arrived didn't work. Returned and received replacement. New one quit working by 2nd week.

P.O.S.GARBAGE!AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!OLD: "these bulbs are extremely cool, but extremely cheap. i ordered 6 and 2 never even worked and a 3rd stopped spinning and makes a horrible noise just after 2 weeks. also, bulb is larger than a standard sized lightbulb so they don't fit in every socket. on the plus side, they are much quieter than more extensive, smaller bulbs but only when they actually work. smaller bulb is noticeably brighter, spins faster, yet is louder than these larger, duller, slower, cheaper bulbs."amended August 4, 2017last night the FOURTH bulb completely died.bringing the total number down to 2 of 6 still working; 33.3%. which means 66.6% are garbage. as soon as the last 2 die, ill upgrade.sometimes quality outweighs quantity.

Can't give many stars when the product doesn't work right out of the box. Looked intact, but nothing happened. Must have gotten a dud.

So bummed, this fell apart after one use, box was all messed up upon arrival, then clear plastic piece fell off after not really rotating great. I have another one of these, from a different manufacturer and I love it, this one was poorly made.

Complete junk do not waste your money nor your time as soon as I screwed it in to the socket it broke at the base and that's applying hardly any twisting pressure into the socket complete junk don't waste your time warning

Broken upon arrival. Did not spin or work, was fritzy right away when I screwed it in. Would not recommend- not even worth returning with the price.

Didn't work! Straight outta the box & it didn't work at all. Did not appear to be damaged to the naked eye but it didn't work. Will be returning this one.We also ordered the lotus flower shaped one & it worked fine.
