A great Pointer...
September 15, 2017
I got it for a coworker that trained myself and others how to do the job. Only problem was he used is mechanical pencil and would leave lead marks on the screen. I got him this so I could reach over a person better than reaching and it doesn't leave lead marks on the screen.
Perfect

This works perfect when I am sitting with someone so I don't need to tell them "left", "right', "up", "down" and they hunt for where I am trying to direct them. Great price and shrinks down to the size of a mechanical pencil.

Handy pointer
November 22, 2016
Just used it for a Powerpoint presentation. It was a team presentation so using my laptop that was hooked up to projector, myself and a teammate was able to roam around the room and let the slides move up and down the page remotely. Very impressed with the ease of use. Amazing how much better you present when you're able to stand and walk around. The pointer is small enough to carry in your backpack/briefcase but also large and tactile enough to use it comfortably. Laser pointer is a bonus. There is no set up. Simply stick in the USB dongle into your laptop and it is ready to go.
Great presentation controller and more!
April 11, 2016
I bought this for use in both my classroom and in my wife's classroom and have to say it is an absolute joy to work with over the past couple weeks! The shape and size fits very nicely in one's hand and the buttons are easily usable while at the same time they are sturdy so you will not accidentally press them. The range on this device has yet to leave me wanting, during regular use the USB dongle is left in a small laptop about 25ft away and I have yet to experience a dropout even while the laptop is streaming videos via wifi in the same transmission range. This little device can do much more than just PowerPoint slideshows too, it is great for playing different songs in Windows Media Player or even scrolling up and down a web page in a browser. Finally the laser point is very strong and can be seen even in very bright rooms. The battery life so far has been great, I have an old rechargeable battery in the device and it is still working fine, despite me spending hours having our cat chase the laser pointer around the house. I absolutely love this product.
Great design and works well on my Linux laptop!
January 5, 2016
Update - I have been using this for quite some time, and continue to be completely satisfied - so much so that I bought another unit, which also continues to work well. Definitely 5 stars!Original review:I have only used this a couple of times so far, but I really like it. It has worked flawlessly, and the best part is the design of the USB adapter (which is, in fact, why I chose this unit rather than another design). Rather than the bulky adapters that stick way out and get knocked around, this is a low-profile unit which could conceivably be left in place and not get in the way of putting a laptop in and out of a case. Rather than the adapters that consist only of a thin plastic part with terminals printed on (and yet still stick out a ways!), this has a full USB connector that plugs solidly into place. And one more nice feature -- since the USB adapter stores in the end of the unit, I was a bit concerned whether it would be likely to drop out. I was pleased to find that it seems to have a magnetic attachment in addition to the mechanical friction -- as the USB adapter is inserted into place, it pulls in sharply (magnetic), and then there is a bit more to push home for a secure seating (friction). We'll see how the longevity is -- I'll update this review if I start having problems -- but at least for now, I am extremely satisfied.
Great customer service

I purchased this presentation remote and it worked well for about two months, then it just died all of a sudden. I tried to change the batteries twice with two different new batteries, but it was simply no longer functional. After I posted a review stating this, Inateck sent me a new unit to replace the one that broke! I didn't expect to receive a new remote at all, and I was pleasantly surprised. The new unit works very well. Thank you, Inateck! I am very happy with the new presentation remote. Great service.
Absolutely amazing deal!
January 15, 2015
Wow! I am a graduate student and regularly TA for a variety of courses, thus I use power point all the time for presentations. I also do a lot of talks using power point. I've always used a normal laser pointer as well as the Apple remote. My laser went out the other day, and instead of getting a new battery I searched out a wireless presenter and found many on Amazon. I was shocked when I saw the price of this bad boy, but I decided to try it.This thing is an amazing deal! It works flawlessly! It fits perfect in the hand and allows you to hold it steady (which is important when giving a presentation). It works very far from the laptop, and has no lag! I use it with a 2013 Macbook Pro.
Great on Mac, some *very* cool unpublished features
December 28, 2014
Bought primarily as a laser pointer, and love it for that. Not too bright, but fine for presentations and at home as a pointer on our 93" front projection HDTV. Comfortable in the hand, lightweight, yet solid enough to possibly survive a fumble and fall.BUT, in its advertised purpose in presentations (LibreOffice Impress, Powerpoint, etc.) this thing really shines. Simply amazing for the price. Since there are plenty of strong reviews here, my main goal in posting this review is to cover some of those extras I hadn't known about before buying.1. It works great on my Mac. The fractured English "Instruction Manual" is slightly better than typical unintelligible China speak, but says "In Mac system Keynote software, only support page up, page down, play/esc and blank screen functions." I don't use Keynote, but did find just navigating the system that the Tab, Enter, Up/Down buttons are recognized. Note that long-press on some buttons provide extra functions. I also found that some functions can be reprogrammed using the Universal Access features. Pull down the black Apple menu at the top-left corner of your screen, select Universal Access, and you may find some extra capabilities for this pointer in the Keyboard tab. In the Mouse tab, near the bottom of the window next to where it says "To enable full keyboard access" using my actual mouse, I reprogrammed a button on the pointer by clicking "Open Keyboard Preferences" then double clicking on the three symbols for "Show Help menu" and then pressing one of the pointer's buttons. Using this method, you should be able to easily reprogram functions on this pointer for your Mac. One annoying aspect of Mac OS X (at least on the 10.6.8 laptop I tested this on), is that it doesn't remember your setting for the receiver and thus always pops up the annoying "Keyboard Setup Assistant" when you plug the receiver in. I used ANSI US once and just closed the assistant once, but it seemed to work the same regardless.2. The USB receiver that plugs into your computer is VERY cool. First off, it's tiny so it won't stick out and get broken off if someone bumps it. Yet tiny could mean easily lost, so they made a place to store it in the bottom of the pointer. It has a little groove so it's easy to pull out of the pointer for use. But by far the most impressive thing for me is that the storage dock for it in the bottom of the pointer is magnetic!! This means if you just put it into that dock but don't press it all the way in to lock, it still stays in and is thus less likely to get lost. This is a small touch that shows real thought about how people will use this pointer for presentations. If you lose the USB receiver, the pointer becomes a laser pointer only, so the solid lock storage dock that's still easy to remove AND has a magnetic safety feature is simply *Stellar* design!I love that for the same price as many stand alone laser pointers, this one adds niceties like AAA battery PLUS all the amazing features of a presentation controller. Kudos to the designers and builders!

Use for teaching classes. I prefer this over a laser pointer.
pretty good

This is NOT a spring loaded, collapsible laser pointer, as I somehow thought when I ordered this(I was half asleep), but, it works great as a stylus for smartphones.
Works Great but Tip Comes Off.
January 21, 2015
It works very well when giving computer instructions. It's very effective at pointing out items on the screen or keyboard. I had mine for about three years. Was pretty careful with it, but the tip pulled off. Bent about 1/2 inch of the last length over so it still works. Not as classy, but still works.

You can't find similar products easily, and for this price it has served its purpose. I used this to point the notes when my kids practice piano. This is the second one I ordered, and the first one was broken by my 3 years old after I used it for a week. Don't expect kids can use it, as they either break it or get distracted by it.

Great for Piano Lessons!
March 13, 2013
I bought this after getting tired of leaning over the piano to have to point to things in the music. It has helped a lot and is much better on my back. The only complaint I have is that the first one got a little bent and eventually broke. However, I did like it enough to buy two more. So I do recommend it but just be careful about bending it!

... Inateck for 3 months now and I am VERY happy with it
April 1, 2017
I teach at a small college and have been using the Inateck for 3 months now and I am VERY happy with it. The remote range is excellent and it is easy to operate. The driver loads fast every time I use it no what computer I use. I have bought more expensive controllers that never seem to last, so even if this one dies within a year (still working great), I am only out ~$12. My only criticism is the laser pointer is on the weaker side. It is fine in a classroom setting, but is virtually invisible in a larger lecture hall. This is why I gave it a 4 rather than a 5. Otherwise, a great product well worth the money.
Looks great but ...
March 22, 2017
Nice wireless pointer and control. Beautifully designed I've used many in the past and this one looks by far the best. But ... it is easy to get the wrong button as they are side by side, same size, and the raised nub on the center one is so small that you can easily miss it.
Great product -- BUT
August 26, 2016
Great product -- BUT, I almost sent it back. I followed the instructions in the attached instruction sheet. I inserted the battery properly, pressed the laser button and nothing happened. So I change batteries as the instruction sheet said. Still nothing. Then I noticed the On/Off switch, switched it ON and presto it worked perfectly. Nothing in the instructions mentioned the On/Off switch. Like some of the other ratings, the instructions are sketchy, but other than that toe-stubber it's perfect. I have another similar unit that I have had for 5+ years. Cost $150. What a deal.
Works great, plug-n-play even on Windows RT!!
March 15, 2016
This is a very nice presentation pointer. I'm using it with my Microsoft Surface RT (running Win 8.1 RT) for use as a teleprompter for my video creation.Pros:- Long battery life- On-off switch is easy to feel and use- Laser pointer is bright- LED indicator for button presses is handy- Tiny, hide-in-remote wireless receiver is great- Worked with Powerpoint on Windows 8.1 RT plug-and-play instantlyCons:- It's quite long, not very discrete- Sometimes difficult to just feel which button you're on, which can lead to mis-clicks- Buttons have very little travel distance (and thus aren't super responsive) but yet still make an audible clickOverall I'm really satisfied with my purchase, though.
Simple, easy clicker
January 1, 2016
This is a handy little clicker that slides easily into my briefcase pocket. On most computers, you just insert the USB receiver, and your slide player of choice automatically recognizes the device and clicks happily along. I did have one issue with this controller while presenting in a big-screen university conference room. As soon as I inserted the receiver, and each time I tried it again, the projection screen went blue, so it may have compatibility issues with some complex conference hall AV set ups.
Almost pefect for me
November 29, 2015
This unit works well and fits my hand much better then the small elliptical shaped versions. The built-in laser pointer is easy to use and see. Plug in the adapter to a usb port and it immediately functions to control a powerpoint presentation (using windows 7 or windows 10 and Office 2010). It uses a AAA battery (not supplied) and it is easy to install the battery. The only downside to this wireless pointer that I have found is that the buttons for advancing or reversing the slides do not have any texture to them so it is hard to tell by touch if you are pressing the button. The laser pointer button has a raised symbol you can feel, but the other two buttons do not. I may put a drop of glue on each button so that I can feel where they are when giving a presentation. I like to keep my eyes on the audience as much as possible. Looking down at the controller all the time can make a good presentation look awkward.

March 5, 2017
I have amended my initial review below. The company contacted me after I review below and they handled it very professionally and apologized for the product and also gave an explanation. They offered to credit my account back which I accepted. They attempted to make things right and followed through with their word. I am please with their customer serviceThe product did not work. I use Prezi, which is an interactive presentation platform and it did not move to the next slide when I clicked on the next button. Rather, it zoomed in and out instead. I had a big corporate presentation and this product failed me. Fortunately, I had a co-worker who had a Targus brand and it worked very well and did exactly what I wanted out of this product that failed me. Additionally, the forward and backward button is opposite. Whoever thought of this concept did not think wisely. When you hold the product, naturally you hold it vertically and it appears that it is made to be held vertically due to the extra hand space located on side where the brand is labeled. Therefore, the top button logically should be the forward button; however, this product has it made opposite. The only way I figured it out was when I held the product and read the product name which is read horizontally the forward button then becomes on the correct location. However, who holds this thin and small product horizontally when it is made to be held vertically with opposite buttons??? I forced to use my coworker's Targus brand and it was excellent! Inateck's inability to create a logical and working product has forced me to go and buy the Targus brand. I am disappointed with Inateck's brand because it failed me when I needed it the most.
Broken a day after return window
October 19, 2016
Wouldn't you know it! It stopped working a day after the return period ended. I know its cheap to replace but 10 bucks is 10 bucks. Last one I bought for around the same price from another company lasted years.Edit: Inateck contacted me the same day I left this review. They offered to send me a new one free of charger. I will update this review when I get a chance to use the pointer for an extended period of time. For now I'm happy they stood behind their product!
Does the job
February 20, 2016
Bought for my laser pointer crazed dog. It does the job for indoor use but does not have the range for outdoors like some of the others I've had. I love that the batteries don't rattle and make a ton of noise when moving around, that's a big plus for me. I'm not a fan of the rectangular style, it makes it harder to hold - prefer the round pen shape instead.
Wireless presenter
February 2, 2016
I've been using this wireless presenter for over a year. I can walk around the classroom and use with ease. I'm giving it three stars because the laser pointer stopped working after two months. Besides the laser, everything else works fine. If you need a pointer for occasional use, this one will work. Would not recommend if you are going to use this on a daily basis.

Handle with care...very flimsy
December 11, 2013
The sections near the tip of this pointer are very thin, and because of that they are very easy to bend. It is not at all sturdy. If you you handle it with care, you can probably get a reasonable amount of life out of it, but I would not purchase this again.I replaced the ACCO pointer with the Autopoint® Extended Length 35" Pointer, Black Matte with Chrome Trim, Extends to 35" (41510), and I recommend it. It is much sturdier, even when extended to its full 35" length. The Autopoint costs more than the ACCO, but it's worth it.
